## Summary

This video provides a comprehensive overview of the Coiled Isle, the new zone introduced in World of Warcraft Patch 12.1, 'The Curse of Ulatek'. The creator details the zone's two distinct areas—the surface island and the underground Vault of Atal'Utek—along with new systems, rewards, and activities players can expect.

### Key Points

- **Zone Structure** [00:15] — The Coiled Isle has two sections: the island area and the Vault of Atal'Utek underground. The island features a new campaign, 11 local stories, world quests, treasures (20+ named), 12 rares, and a new world event called Cur Surges.
- **Renown Track** [02:29] — A new 20-level warbound renown track for Zhol'Jarr's forces offers cosmetic rewards including a cloak, tabard, armor sets, a pet (Snackzali), and three mounts (Tok'Jara, Indigo Coiled Horror, Violet Back Skyfang). Zone upgrades improve Cur Surge gear from Adventurer to Veteran.
- **Fishing Reputation** [03:39] — Toka Fishing is a friendship reputation with five levels (2,600 rep each). Rep comes from intro quests, two dailies (200 and 75 rep), and a weekly world quest (500 rep). Rewards include the Sea Dwelling Serpent mount, fishing lures, venom-themed weapons, and the Midnight Angler's Grandline fishing rod.
- **Dungeons and Raid** [05:39] — The zone includes the Altar of the Fangs dungeon (three bosses, available in all difficulties), the Venomous Abyss raid (eight bosses, final boss Ul'utech), and two regular delves plus a Nemesis Delve (Venom Falls Deeps).
- **Lair World Boss** [06:22] — Numereesa Wavecaller is an instance world boss with four difficulties (world, normal, heroic, mythic). Loot scales accordingly: veteran, champion, hero, and myth track items.
- **Altar of Corrosion** [07:15] — A talent tree in the Vault provides benefits like reduced venom damage, spirit spawns, and increased corrosive coin drops. Talent points are earned by handing in corrosive coins, with some free points from the renown track.
- **Corrosive Souls** [08:23] — Corrosive souls unlock outdoor powers chosen via a UI at the Altar of Corrosion. Initially one power active, expanding to two after unlocking eight. These powers work in Midnight outdoor zones and delves.
- **Vault World Event** [09:31] — The event has three stages: strike, incursion, and ancient foe. Six strikes and three incursions rotate; failing an incursion restarts the cycle. Defeating the ancient foe rewards gear and corrosive coins.
- **Patrols and Rewards** [10:41] — Patrols are solo bonus objectives (12 total) activated by NPCs. The weekly vault quest rewards a venom curse fragment, champion item every two weeks, reputation, corrosive coins, a delve map, coffer key shards, and a tier 7 great vault unlock.
- **Cosmetics and Mounts** [11:19] — Vault cosmetics include the Caustic Venom Fang mount (10,000 coins), pets, weapon arsenals, armor sets, and numerous decor items. A decor version of the Altar of Corrosion is available after unlocking all talent points.
- **Achievements** [12:52] — Achievements reward mounts like the Ul'rok Ferous Venom Fang, Emerald Skyfang, and Venomous Coiler. Notable achievements include 'It's Definitely Something' (become a mother) and completing 250 patrols.

### Conclusion

The Coiled Isle offers a rich mix of content, from the surface island's events and reputations to the Vault's talent tree and world event. Players should expect a substantial time investment to unlock all rewards, especially the mounts and cosmetics.

is a pretty cool zone with two different layers to it, and tons of stuff to do, we jump into that, guys, I do want to let you know that I am streaming on If you want to see me streaming the 12.1 PTR testing, or any sort of World of
twitch.tv/mistergm. Right, so yes, patch 12.1 is launching extremely soon, on August 11th in the NA region, and August 12th in the EU. This patch brings a ton of content, and one
of these pieces of content is the new zone, the Coiled Isle. So, let's talk about that. So, this island, of course, has been off of the east coast of Zul'Aman since 12.0. We have been looking at it, but we could never go
there. And in 12.1, we are finally going there, and uncovering the secrets of Atal'Utek. So, this zone is very unique in the fact that it has two different sections. It has the island area, and then it has the Vault of Atal'Utek,
underground inside the mountainous area. So, let's start by talking about the upstairs area, the actual island itself. So, the patch will bring a new campaign will start in Silvermoon, and it takes you over to the island. You might have
already started this in 12.0.7, with chapter one being available right now. The island also features 11 local stories, with an achievement to complete super unique, and really enjoyable, and add an extra layer to this new zone. Of
course, the zone also features various world quests, different treasures around the zone. It has smaller and larger generic treasures, but it also has 20 plus named treasures across the zone as well. The zone also features 12
different rares, with two brand new rare drop mounts from them. These are the drop mounts from them. These are the Ruby Rithe and the Topaz Skyfang mount. So, good luck getting those. And a new world event called Cur Surges. So, these
are similar to Void Assaults, but on the island. Now, these are always rotating and are just smaller outdoor scenarios in the zone, which will finish up with a mini boss. There are five different surges in total and completing these
will give you Koffee Key shards, adventure crest and gear, and Voidlight Maul. The weekly on the island is actually to complete three of these and this will give you a thousand reputation for the zone renown and a season two
pinnacle cash. So, yeah. Let's talk about the renown. There is a brand new renown in 12.1, which is associated with the Korthia Isle and this is Zhol'Jarr's forces. This is a 20-level warbound renown with various different cosmetic
rewards throughout the renown track, including a cloak, a tabard, tons of including a cloak, a tabard, tons of Armani-themed decor, cosmetic shoulders. armor types, which is a recolor of the new world sets that are coming in 12.1.
Idol of Ula'tek. This actually transforms you into a child of Ula'tek So, that's going to make some people very happy, I would imagine. There's a new pet to purchase called Snackzali and there are three mounts attached to this
Tok'Jara, which is actually unlocked through a questline. And then you've got the Indigo Coiled Horror mount, which you can purchase and the Violet Back Skyfang mount as well. This renown track, of course, also includes
different zone upgrades like upgrading the gear from Cur Surges from Adventurer all the way up to Veteran, which is pretty cool. Now, Zhol'Jarr's forces is There is another reputation and this is Toka Fishing. So, this is a new
friendship reputation with five levels with 2,600 reputation required per level. So, you can get reputation with this faction from the intro quests that once you've done that, there's actually two different daily quests you can do.
quest, which will give you 200 reputation, and there is a fishing daily quest, which is to bring certain fish for the quest, and that gives you 75 reputation. There is also a weekly world quest, which does reward 500 rep as
in the world, you just got to keep on top of your dailies if you want to does have a ton of really cool rewards. It has a new mount called the Sea Dwelling Serpent mount, which is a new sky riding snake mount. You can purchase
different fishing lures from the vendor. He also sells venom-themed weapons, including the Envenomed Deathblade, which is a two-handed sword, which is a green recolor of the Greatsword of the Ebon Blade, which has been in the game
since Wrath of the Lich King, and we're finally getting it in 12.1. You can also purchase the Envenomed Game Ripper, which is a polearm, and the Envenomed Gavel, which is a one-handed mace transmog. The vendor also sells
components for the Midnight Angler's Grandline, a venom elemental pet, various different profession recipes, some brand new decor, including the Aged Tol'vir Scroll Case, the Hanging Yellowed Kelp, the Yellowed Kelp Pile,
the Rustic Fishing Rack, the Blue Tol'vir Signpost, and the Traditional Tol'vir Tent Decor. The main and final reward from this reputation is a brand Huntress, and this has some pretty interesting effects. So, firstly, when
underwater in Midnight Zones, they'll actually transform you into a snake that speed. But, the main thing with this fishing rod when you fish with it, it builds up venom, and then speaking to an NPC on the island will convert that
actually use to purchase some of the rewards I just mentioned. So, essentially, every single cast on the coral with this new fishing rod will build up currency for you to purchase. So, it's definitely a very involved
mention these cuz I will have other videos going over them, but the zone Altar of the Fangs. This is a new three-boss dungeon that'll be available on follower, normal, heroic, mythic, and mythic plus in season 2 of midnight.
This is also the location of the new raid, the Venomous Abyss. Uh this is a eight-boss raid with the last boss being Ul'utech, which is pretty cool. Uh the zone also has a couple of delves. It has two regular delves. It has the Ring of
Glory and Nal'dour Isle. Both of these will have three story variants each. And this is also the location of the Nemesis Delve, the Venom Falls Deeps. The other thing on this island is Lairs. Now, this is essentially an instance world boss.
The boss is called Numereesa Wavecaller. Now, the entrance UI is actually pretty select your difficulty. It actually has four different difficulties. It has four different difficulties. It has world, normal, heroic, and mythic. And
the loot from this world boss is equivalent to the raid. So, in world, it'll drop veteran, normal will drop champion, heroic will drop hero, and mythic will drop myth level items. So, definitely worth doing the world boss on
the Coil Isle, which is essentially a one-boss raid. So, let's move on to the other area of the Coil Isle, and this is the Vault of Ul'utech. So, this is the downstairs area of the Coil Isle. To enter this area, it uses the new airlock
three different entrances from the surface that you can use. Now, flying mounts are not allowed down here, so you will need to utilize those ground mounts you've been collecting. The main system down here is the Altar of Corrosion.
talent tree. This tree will give you various benefits in the vault to make it less painful. These include things like reducing damage when walking in venom, having a chance to spawn spirits that can help you out, decreasing the damage
against you by certain creatures. It also gives you things like chances on hit will inflict a poison, and it has various increases of corrosive coin drops going all the way up to earning 100% more. Corrosive coins are a
about in a second. Now, to gain talent points on this tree, you need to hand in corrosive coins, and this increases each time, but you can also get some free renown track. Now, I mentioned it a few times, corrosive coins. So, this is a
new currency in the vault of Atul'gar Tech. Now, this is a war-bound currency and is obtained through tons of stuff inside the vault, including most NPCs, all of the world event bags, and there's different daily and weekly quests that
everything in the vault will give you this currency. Now, as mentioned, this it is also used to purchase some of the system down here in the vault is corrosive souls. Now, these are new
content. You're going to unlock this pretty quickly in 12.1 as the item to activities, and then once you've completed that quest line, corrosive can come from the vaults of Atul'gar Tech, curse surges from the lair, prey
hunts from the prey boss, Ral'kora, and bountiful delves. Now, the purpose of these corrosive souls is that you use it to unlock new powers that you can use in outdoor world content. Now, you can choose these powers from a new choice
UI, which can be accessed at the altar of corrosion, and these unlocks are in the vault, but there is also a version of it at the start of all the delves if you ever want to switch it up. And you can select which powers are
of course your build, and these choices are saved per character. Now, at the start, you can choose one power to be active, but once you've unlocked eight powers, you can have two active at one time. And as mentioned, these will be
active in midnight outdoor zones and in delves. But, yeah, just kind of a sort of borrowed power of sorts. This system has had a couple of changes in PTR, and this is where they've landed on. Sort of similar to the Titan disk belt of sorts,
wear. Now, the main activity you can be doing in the vault is the ongoing world event. Now, this has three unique stages. It has a strike phase, an incursion phase, and then an ancient foe. And they happen in that order. So,
strikes are small void assault-like events that require people to complete tasks. There are six unique strikes that can happen with all different tasks, and three of these need to happen before an incursion starts. Now, an incursion is a
slightly bigger event, which will require you to work together with others to complete a task within a timer. And there are three different incursions complete it in time, you'll be defeated and it will have to restart from the
strike stage. Now, if you are successful in your incursion, a ancient foe will world boss that will require you and that boss is defeated, the event will restart with the strike phase, and this
wanted to. And this rewards various gear, and of course corrosive coins that thing that's going on in the vault are patrols. Now, these are smaller solo bonus objectives that are activated throughout the vault by speaking to
NPCs. There are 12 of these in total that you can do, spread around the corrosive coins. So, let's talk about rewards. Why are you doing all these in the vault. Now, this is just a fill the bar quest to complete different
activities in the vault. This will reward you a venom curse fragment, and create a champion item. So, you are going to get a champion item every 2 weeks. Uh you also get reputation. You get tons of corrosive coins. You
actually get a trove hunter's bounty map, which is a delve map. You get coffer key shards, and completing this quest will give you a tier seven unlock on the great vault world row, which is pretty cool. Now, for cosmetics, there's
tons of cosmetics down here as well, all for corrosive coins. So, there is a new mount called the caustic venom fang mount for 10,000. You've got the corrosive writhling pet for 5,000, the volatile venom fang pet for 5,000.
You've also got a weapon arsenal which includes a ton of venom themed weapons for 25,000 coins. You can also purchase cosmetic armor types for cloth, leather, cosmetic armor types for cloth, leather, mail, and plate for 10,000 coins each.
You've got the egg of Ul'rok tech for 750, the clutch of Ul'rok tech for 1,000, the cauldron of Ul'rok tech for 1,000. You also have the corrosive cash for 2,500,
the serpent caller spike for 1,000, the soul coiler canopy for 1,000, the soul coiler jaw for 2,500, the soul coiler sconce for 750, the soul coiler skull sconce for 750, the soul coiler skull for 2,500, the unearths sarcophagus base
for 1,000, the unearths sarcophagus lid for 750, the venom bound ropes for 1,000, the venomous defender's barricade for 1,000, and the venomous globule for
for 1,000, and the venomous globule for 750, the venomous tendril for 750, and the venom scholar's focus for 750. You can also purchase a decor version of the won't be able to purchase that until you've unlocked every talent point on
the altar. You can also trade in those corrosive souls you've got for 100 corrosive coins if you really want to as well. So, yeah, everything sort of works in synergy here in the vault. So, that's the island, that's the vault. Let's
There are a ton of brand new achievements here with various rewards the Tool Ul'rok tech. So, you've got achievements for exploring the island, defeating all the curse surges, completing 300 curse surges, which
got an achievement called It's Definitely Something, which says become a mother on the Coilr's Isle. Uh no idea how to do that, but it sounds pretty clicking different lore items. You've got an achievement for discovering all
rewards a mount, the Ul'rok ferous venom fang mount, which is cool. Uh you've got rares in the zone, which rewards the Armani Forge to core. You've got one for unlocking the altar of corrosion, which rewards the snake title. So, yeah, I'm
can be Jake the snake. And then you've completing all the strikes, completing all the incursions, and ancient foes in other vault base achievements, some which require you to do specific things
Uh there's also an achievement for completing 250 patrols in the vault. This also rewards a mount, the Emerald Skyfang mount, which is a cool one. And Coiled Isle, which unfortunately does not reward anything as of the recording
of this, but there is also a meta achievement for the Vault of Atul Utek, which does reward a mount as well, which is the Venomous Coiler mount. So, tons of achievements to do, tons of stuff to do in this new zone in 12.1. And yeah,
