## Transcript

You've all been asking about my UI, how
to set it up, and everything you need to
get it ready and clean-looking. So, this
video is going to break down everything
you need to get it sorted. Super simple,
super easy. Let's jump in. This is my
entire UI. Now, its base is ElvUI.
Everything else is really simple to
install and put into the format that you
need. Honestly, it's going to be a super
simple video. I'm going to run down all
of my add-ons I'm using, have turned on,
and everything they do, and how they can
be used. We're going to go on to another
character now, and we're going to go
from the ground up. So, this is what
it's going to look like when you log on
to a fresh character with all my add-ons
installed. Now, I'm going to take you
down the list of add-ons I've got, what
they are, what they do, and then when
you've got that full list, we're going
to install them up to create the UI that
you've seen just on my feral druid. The
first add-on on our list to install will
be trinket tracker. Ignore this cuz I
don't actually know how you get rid of
it. Uh but, yeah, the first add-on is
trinket tracker. What this does is
something super simple, and that in edit
mode, you have this little box for
trinkets that tracks your unused
trinkets that you can drag anywhere and
wherever you want just to see, and it
goes on cool down and everything. It
really is just as simple as that. The
next add-on that I use is called cool
down manager centered. I use this on all
my characters and have done since the
start of midnight. I think it's
fantastic. You can have all CDs in the
middle with some nice skins, some alerts
that you can customize, and you can see
the assistant combat on top of it if you
really need it. Now, so we go into cool
down manager on our options and add-on
section, we can see we can track buffs,
bars, icons, utility icons. You can
enable custom trackers, change it all
within edit mode. There's icon styling,
cool down settings, tracker, keybind
display. And right here we have rotation
highlight on CDM. So, if you remember
Hekili, you can make it look kind of
like that with your abilities so you can
see it right in the middle of your
screen rather than down on your bars.
There is also other additions you can do
here. It is very, very customizable, and
I honestly think it is an absolute great
choice to be using. Essential cool
downs, utility cool downs, extra
abilities, and more. Next up, we have
arguably the two most important add-ons
when you're running a ton of add-ons in
your game, and that is Bug Grabber and
BugSack. And all they do is any Lua
errors or any problems that you will
have, they will literally grab and
store. You can open them here if you
want to. You can clear the bug tracker
out with simple clicks. They really are
just super easy, but super important
when you're running add-ons that you
don't want flash ups just constantly
appearing on your screen. The next
add-on we're going to talk about is
Merlok Export. Now, if you're familiar
with Merlok.io, a place where you can
track some of the best players in the
world for PvP and dungeons, well, this
is a companion add-on that allows us to
track all of that in game. Now, we can
select any class we like right here, see
their rating, see all of their stats and
how ours compare to them, the most
popular talent builds including the most
popular one, all of the popular items,
enchants, and everything for both
dungeons and PvP. I love using this. I
think it's great to have it all in game
without flicking back and forth.
Honestly, a really good add-on. Next is
something super simple. Not everyone's
going to need it, but I like to be able
to track my mythic dungeon points. So,
mythic dungeon calculator is my next
choice. So, what this does is allows you
to go to this screen here and just type
in
what you've got, what you've already
done, and what you have, and see what
score you get from everything. Say I
already had a 10, you could turn it
open, it would tell you exactly what
you've got. Keystone, mythic plus
rewards, great vault, seasonal
achievements, everything all in one
window with ease for a ton of tracking,
and basically just to track how many
points you're going to get if you time
on a certain difficulty. It's honestly
really easy, and I just use it every now
and then to decide which one's the most
important that I do next. So, following
on from our mythic dungeons and raid
stuff that we like to use, we have
mythic plus utility, which I think is
helpful if you like to track what
utility you have, what you can use to
help the dungeon, and how it can benefit
the group. It tells you when you go into
a dungeon, for instance, Magister's
Terrace, that dispel magic is going to
be helpful for these abilities. Master
spell is going to be helpful for these
abilities, and dominate mind a talent
which we have isn't going to be helpful
at all, and we can get rid of it and
maybe replace it for one of the two
above. Now, super simple, super easy.
It's just something if you want to help
out or track your talents or just make
things a little bit easier for everyone
around you. Next, we have one of my
inventory add-ons, and it's called
Syndicate. So, what Syndicate actually
does is when you bring up your bag right
here, it allows you to mouse over
individual items and see which other
characters that you have that have these
items on. So, if we mouse over this
Earth-Encrusted Gem, we can see that
this character, Biggy Swalls and
Folsong, all have this item on them and
how many they've got in their bags. It's
just a super lightweight add-on, and it
can be helpful at times. Now, the next
add-on is a map add-on, and that is
HandyNotes. I believe everyone should be
running this. It allows you to track so
many different things on the map, rares,
treasures, and so, so much more. Now,
I've had to change location because I
only have Midnight, so there's tons of
ones for all the other expansions, but I
just use the Midnight one cuz I'm
spending most of my time here. I'm not
an old loot farmer type of person. But,
as you can see, all these little icons
on the map that you can mouse over, you
can see what rares drop mounts, what
items they drop, where glyphs are if you
want to get the mounts, world bosses,
everything like that. There was
achievement, sky riding, abundance,
profession treasures. Everything that
you might need to track on your map if
you're a little bit of a collector, you
like to do stuff in your spare time,
quests, achievements, all of that stuff.
I think it's very necessary and
extremely helpful to have it. Now, I
didn't go over RC Loot Council because
this is if you're in a guild and you
manage loot and all things like that. I
don't think it's needed to go over in
this particular video. Next up is
Masque. So, Masque is just a skinning
add-on for the ElvUI we're going to use.
You can ignore Masque ElvUI Esque
because we use Simplicity. Like I said,
Masque is just a skinning add-on that
allows you to change the global look of
tons of different things with just a
click of a button, even on ElvUI and
everything like that. You come in here,
you click it, and you click Simplicity.
Obviously, we can check this out when
it's installed, but it's really as
simple as that. Next up is a mythic plus
add-on called Warp Deplete. Now, this
tracks your dungeon timers, what affixes
are, the timer to plus three, plus two,
all of the bosses, and how you've
improved or not improved compared to
previous runs. Now, I don't really use
this at the moment. I use something a
bit more lightweight connected to my
objective window called Horizon Suite,
but if I don't use it, this is my go-to
one, Warp Deplete. Next up is our raid
one, and that is Northern Sky Raid
Tools. Now, this allows you to do a lot
of stuff within the raid with ease. If
you're a leader or even just a raider,
there's a few things you can do here.
You can do assignments for mythic
bosses. There's encounter alerts. So,
when you do a boss and as long as these
turned on, it will come up in the middle
of your screen saying what's about to
happen or what you need to do. If you're
someone that's an audible listener and
learner, or you need some visual in
front of your screen, this is going to
be great for you. There's also a few
quality of life stuff like gateways,
soul wells, feasts, all stuff like that.
There's a ton you can do with this
add-on in terms of raiding and group
content. Next, we have SimulationCraft.
So, if you're looking to improve your
character in any way whatsoever, you'll
be using SimulationCraft as it allows
you to take your character's stats,
talents, everything you've got in your
bag, in your gear, and go and look for
what is better or sim which does more
damage or all these other things. I
won't go into that in this video, but
it's very helpful if
up, we have PEEVES. PEEVES does a ton of
add-ons that all benefit each other in
kind of different ways. Now, the ones
that I use are PEEVES Best in Slot and
PEEVES Best in Slot Data with PEEVES
Commons. Now, all this does is when you
go to your character screen and you
mouse over your stuff, it will tell you
roughly where your Best in Slot stuff
comes from. This takes from Wowhead and
other sources like this. You just mouse
over. As you can see, gaze, Val'anyr,
Hammer of Ancient Kings, Ember Wing
Feather, your rings, your weapon is
crafted. Just little stuff like that. If
you don't mind too much going super
min-maxy, this can be really helpful so
you're not tabbing in and out of the
game all the time looking at websites.
And also, PEEVES Commons is just the
add-on you need to make this other stuff
functional. So, you grab PEEVES Commons,
and you can grab anything else that you
want from his selection of add-ons.
There is Next, we have a big quality of
life add-on called Enhanced Quality of
Life Core. You can also use Leatrix
Plus. It's really up to you on what you
go with here. There's a few out there
that are pretty good. But, Enhanced
Quality of Life Core actually adds a ton
of stuff to the game, stuff that even
WeakAuras used to do. So, look, we have
our interface here. We have frames,
action bars, visibility, cast bars,
bars, resources, pop-ups, cool downs,
action tracker. And that's just
interface. There's general gameplay,
social,
economy, sound. There's so much you can
do with this add-on that even I've not
gone fully into it. It's just nice to
have there and look through these
options for stuff that you might want or
might need. Now, I'm not going to skim
over the things we do need. Now, Shared
Media is used by a lot of stuff. It
provides shared sound files via Lib
Shared Media for Enhanced Quality of
Life Core, and it's used in a ton of
things. So, you know, grab the shared
media add-on on CurseForge as well.
Next, we have By the Way Quest. It's not
something that I always use, but it's
something that I like to have in the
background. Now, what this does, it
allows you to track like the roots and
the paths and the chapters for
everything in the game. Now, I've just
got Midnight and the War Within
installed cuz that's kind of what I
focus on the moment, but if I was going
to back and do the achievements or
trying to complete like every questline,
then this is what I would go and use. As
you can see, if you just click into
something, you can see the full
questline and the roots that you can
take and the quests that bring you to
certain points. It's really lightweight,
it's really simple to use, and it's just
a handy add-on. Next up is Easy
Experience Bar. Now, you'll only see
this if you're leveling a new character,
and it's something I like to use cuz it
allows me to track how much I'm earning,
when I'm going to level up, how much
rest XP, time in session,
time to level, all of that. Just, you
know, normal stuff that you have right
there. There's no stress with it. It's
just lightweight, you install it, and
it's boom, sorted. So, the main one for
my UI, how it looks, how it sits,
everything you need. You need ElvUI and
ElvUI WindTools for starters. Libraries
and options get installed with the ElvUI
folder. I'll show you how to install
that quickly when we do the installation
process of stuff. Now, this is ElvUI.
This is WindTools. You can do a lot with
it, skins, customization, you know, you
can bring stuff up, change a lot of
stuff, and it really is just a big
add-on that I love to use, and I'm so
glad I got it updated for Midnight. I'm
a big fan of how they do their UIs.
Next, we have an add-on called Better
Wardrobe. This is just an add-on I like
to use when I'm transmogging stuff cuz
when I'm in this screen, I can see more
sets that I've got, more cut-off points.
I can see all these extra sets that
wouldn't be there if I didn't have this
add-on installed. So, great add-on,
great for transmoggers, just a nice
add-on to have in the background. Then,
of course, another raid add-on that I
think is needed alongside Northern Sky
Raid Tools is Big Wigs. So, Big Wigs
allows you to track incoming boss
timers, things in the middle of your
screen. Big Wigs is basically necessary.
If you're familiar with DBM, it's very,
very similar to that. It's just a
different version. Now, we can have our
bars and where they're tracked, we can
see them all and besides bars, we can
move them around, we can test them, we
can see stuff. It really is helpful in a
raid environment to have these things
showing. So, that's Big Wigs and all the
raid ones to do with it. Next is Class
Codex. Now, Class Codex is one that I
think is useful for maybe beginners or
people that just kind of want to track
this stuff in game. Now, what it does,
it gives you this little window next to
your character bar with stat priority,
raid single target talents, mythic plus
talents, delves, raid, other stuff.
You've got your single target rotation,
your multi-target rotation, your opener,
everything on screen right in front of
you. Now, does it mean it's 100%
perfect? No. It takes from Wowhead, so
there's discrepancies here and there to
what the best players might be using.
So, someone who's up-and-coming, who's
not super familiar with the game, or
just kind of being casual and
progressing, this is great for you. I
would say Class Codex is more for like
the casual player, and Merlok Expo, what
we had earlier, is more for the hardcore
player that wants to see the high-end
stuff. You can see talents, best gear,
trinkets, enhancements, and the crafts
that you need. Next up is Details. Now,
I think the Blizzard damage meters suck
and look rubbish. So, I am still using
Details meters down here in the bottom
left, and this will be reskinned into
our UI later on really easily. So, if
you're looking for the aesthetic of my
stuff, then you can see it later on. So,
we have F R F Sakilly. Now, it's got a
similar name to Hekili, I know, but it's
still very different. Now, it allows you
to put your assisted highlight into one
little box that's draggable, so you can
see everything. Now, it still doesn't do
cooldowns or stuff like that, but it
gives you a box to tell you where it is,
when it is, and what to press next. It
also tells you procs. So, procs that
don't have anything to do with your
rotation or might appear, you can see
above it. Even heals and utility that
proc, you can see it. So, it's a helpful
add-on to have kind of in the middle of
your screen if you want to see stuff or
just want to lazy away and follow the
rotation right here. Next up is a big
one. This is Horizon Suite. I found it
recently, and I really like the way it
looks. I use it to change my objective
window here. You can do a lot with
Horizon Suite, and it is getting updated
constantly. So, we have access, we have
focus stuff, presence inside. Now, all
of these might not mean a lot to you,
but they can change a ton of stuff in
your game. It's something that you have
to play around with yourself and decide
what you want. I genuinely just use it
for the objective window and nothing
else, but they are working on a lot, and
it can do a lot aesthetic and
customization-wise.
Next is Little Wigs. I don't really need
to cover it. It's literally the dungeon
version of Big Wigs. It's going to do
callouts, help you with boss bars, cast
bars, everything like that. Just get it
installed, and once we go through the
installation, you can just ignore it cuz
it will place everything for you. Now,
along with ElvUI, this is definitely the
most important. Lucky One UI. This is
the UI I use to install everything and
get it sorted and completed and looking
exactly how you've seen on my fellow
druid earlier. You need this to make
your UI look like mine. Then, we have
Method Raid Tools or MRT. This allows
you to do more stuff with the raid. You
can do notes, visual notes. You can
inspect people in your raid, item
levels, gear, enchantment they need. You
can raid check, check for flasks, food,
all of that. Again, this is if you're
part of a raid team, it's really helpful
in them environments. You don't need it
if you're not really a raider or do like
progression raids or guild raids. Now,
Midnight Sensei is just something I
downloaded cuz I thought it'd be fun and
it's cool to use. It basically gives you
a combat performance from F to A plus
depending on how you performed in that
fight against that boss or stuff like
that. I'm not sure how good it is, but
it's it's cool to use it. I just like to
see it, you know, even if it's for your
own ego. Mythic Plus Count is another
one I use, but it's mainly for tanks.
Now, you can see the percentage of
everything of what each mob's worth in a
mythic dungeon for all the mobs in
there. It's customizable. You can see it
below health bars or nameplates, all
stuff like that. It's really useful if
you're a tank and you're looking to kind
of perfect your route or figure out what
you need when you're going through a
dungeon. Next up, we have Narcissus.
Now, this is something I just use for
aesthetics across the board. It helps me
get thumbnail pictures of my characters,
but you can also do this cool thing
where you double-tap C and it brings up
this whole window of your character in a
completely different format. You can see
item level, you can see stats, sets, all
of your stuff in this really cool,
nicely aesthetic character window.
That's really all it's for. It's a great
add-on. So, if you want to download it
just for aesthetic reasons, you can. You
don't actually need it for my UI,
though. Another really important one
will be Plater. Everything you're going
to see when it's updated and we've
installed it is through Plater for NPCs,
friendly nameplates, enemy nameplates,
everything is Plater, and that profile
is Jundies, but I'll show you all that
when we're installing it. Another
aesthetic add-on I use is called
Plumber. Now, all Plumber does is let's
type {slash} plumber. It brings up this
window which you can do a lot of stuff
with. You know, breaks, times, talking
heads, loot windows, tile managers. You
can change a hell of a lot, appearance
tabs, decor catalogs. You can change a
ton of stuff in game to how Plumber
deals with stuff if this is what you
really want. I just have it in the
background cuz there's a few things I
use here and there from Plumber. Again,
it doesn't really do anything to my UI.
It's just something that you can have if
you want it. Next, we have Raider.IO. I
like to see my own IO. I like to combine
it so people can see my warband IO, my
characters, so I can check on them, see
what's going on. As you can see in the
tooltip on the right, we can see his IO,
his raids, everything like that. I just
think it's necessary if you're grinding
in game for any reason whatsoever.
Raider Ranked is a cool little add-on
that basically turns your mythic plus
scores into like, say, League of
Legends. You've got bronze, silver,
gold, you know, iron, emerald, plat, all
of that. It basically converts your
score into that. I just think it's a
cool way to look at it. It's not
actually needed, but it's just an add-on
that I use anyway. Next, we have
Sensei's Class Resource Bar. I think
this is important. I like to track my
combo points this way, my mana, actual
power, whatever you've got going on with
your class, it's this right here and can
be changed in edit mode. But again,
we'll sort that all out when we go
through installation. And the final
add-on on my list before we go into the
installation and making it look
beautiful is
Waypoint UI. Waypoint UI, basically,
whenever you're tracking a quest or
anything of that sort, even a map pin,
whatever you want, you can place it
down, and Waypoint UI adds this cool new
glowing, you know, aesthetic-looking,
really nice-looking icon to the map that
you can fly over and see pretty much
from everywhere on your screen. It's
really nice. I've always used it. Jump
in with this one. And that is it for the
list of add-ons we use. That section
might have been a bit boring, but I
wanted you to install everything so you
are ready to just go straight in,
import, clean, install, one click, and
done. Now, we're going to cover the
installation process right now, so let's
jump into that as well. Now, the final
segment of the video is how we install
the UI and get it set up just how you
guys want. Now, most of you are here
probably just for this bit or have come
from my other video asking about my UI.
So, it's really simple. Once you have
everything installed that we've
mentioned in this video, we're legit
just going to type ElvUI /elvui,
go down to here where it says Lucky One
UI. When you click that, click the
install button and we're just going to
follow the steps through. 1080p for me.
I'm a DPS and that should give you a
whole change on your screen. Then we go
again, Auras, Win Tools, Class Color for
me, you can choose dark if you want, set
up your chat, set up your CV, set up I
go with PlateA cuz we use Jundies. So,
click PlateA, we're going to have to
change that just after. Then we go next,
we do Big Wigs. Obviously, if you were a
healer, you do Big Wigs healing. Details
meters, we get that set up. Warp
Deplete, if you're using it, obviously
I'm not using Warp Deplete, I'm using
Horizon Suite instead, so a lot of you
might be using Warp Deplete. Then we go
here, we don't use any of these. I don't
use either of these, so we don't click
anything, we just go next. What we do
from here is we click the copy import
string, we control C that, go straight
into edit mode, go into the layout
drop-down menu, import,
copy that in here, name it Priest,
character specific loadout, and then
import. That should get everything that
you're seeing on screen ready to go in
the middle, right? So, from there, we go
next and we go finished. And that is how
you get the base of everything. Now,
from here, it's really just fine-tuning
our stuff so it looks right and fits in
perfectly. If you guys don't want it
exactly how I have it, then of course
you can just move stuff around as well.
But, we'll go back into edit mode.
We'll grab our secondary resource bar,
which is mana, so I always whack that
down there, move the trinkets out the
way. I grab this and what I do is I make
it a lot smaller so it fits in just
between my bars, move the utility up. I
always have
these bars above my HP and my track
buffs just here. I bring FRF Sekhmet
down. Joe's got a room. We bring my
primary resource bar down to here so I
can have it just above my cooldowns and
the health bar is non-existent anyway,
it doesn't even show up. I take the boss
abilities and I change this to
horizontal so I can have it just at the
top of my screen. Everything else you
can kind of move as you see fit. I bring
my tooltip down here, you know, talking
head up the top or wherever you want it.
And that's kind of it right there for
when we click save, everything on your
screen is set up exactly how I have it.
It really is that simple. With your
Horizon Suite, you can literally just
move that up right there and you can
extend it down if need be. And that's
really the base of it all. Now, for a
little customization I like as I'm not a
massive fan of the thin borders, I go
back into ElvUI, I go to general, I go
to cosmetic and I untick these three
things. Once I've done that, I close it
off, I click accept and as you can see,
once it reloads, you get now this nice
thick dark line around all of your stuff
and I think it just looks so much better
than that thin line that we had before,
purely for aesthetic reasons, purely for
the look of it. A nice thick line around
all of your stuff just looks much better
in my opinion. Now, let's talk about
PlateA as it's kind of the final thing
we need to do and set up. So, for our
PlateA, we're going to come over to
Google, we're going to type in PlateA
Jundies and we're looking for the
Midnight Mythic Plus and Raid PlateA. We
go into weakaura.io, once it loads, we
copy the import string right here, go
back into game, type /platea, we go over
to profiles, import profile and we
simply copy that in. We click yes as I'm
already running it and when it loads,
you'll have the lovely new PlateA
profiles that I use for everything on
every character. It changes your NPC,
your player, your enemies, everything
you need to have set up just comes
already with Jundies. It's got different
color profiles for different people, for
different enemies. And as you can see,
it's all set up and if we went out to
fight an enemy, you will see that as
well. Right, we've skipped over to some
enemies. So, as you can see, Jundies
right here.
We can do a little bit of our rotation
here just to show off a few things.
And look, there we go, Jundies all set
up. Now,
there isn't much else to this UI. Your
Big Wigs is all set up through Lucky
One. Everything else, all your profiles
are already set up. The only thing that
I would look into is kind of where your
bar placements are, stuff like this.
Like I grab bar five, I right click it,
I go into turn off mouseover, I go into
buttons per row and I kind of have this
as a utility button box
in the bottom right, you know, for
mounts
on or stuff like that, Coin of Many
Faces, all those things. Everything else
is already set up and good to go for you
with as simple as a few clicks. Any
