## Summary

Apple has significantly increased prices across its Mac and iPad lineups, with some models seeing up to a 25% jump, attributed to a memory shortage. The video details specific price changes and suggests these may be temporary but advises consumers to treat them as the new standard.

### Key Points

- **MacBook and MacBook Air Price Increases** [00:01] — MacBook Neo rises from $599 to $699, and MacBook Air from $1099 to $1299.
- **MacBook Pro and Mac Studio Price Hikes** [00:15] — MacBook Pro increases from $1700 to $2000, while Mac Studio sees the largest jump, from $2000 to $2500, a 25% increase.
- **iPad and Other Product Price Increases** [00:30] — iPad Air rises from $599 to $749, iPad Pro from $1000 to $1200. Apple TV, HomePod, HomePod mini, and Vision Pro also saw price increases. iPhone prices remain unchanged for now.
- **Temporary or Permanent?** [00:44] — The price increase is likely temporary, tied to the memory shortage, but the duration is unknown, so consumers should treat these as the new prices.
- **Cause of Price Hikes** [00:56] — The memory shortage, attributed to SK Hynix, is the primary driver of these price increases.

### Conclusion

Apple has raised prices across its product lines due to a memory shortage, with the Mac Studio seeing the largest increase. While these hikes may be temporary, consumers should prepare for them to persist.

## Transcript

have finally hit Apple and they have really hit. So already on apple.com the MacBook Neo goes from $599 to $699. The MacBook Air goes from $1099 starting to $1299. MacBook Pros go from $1700 to
$2000. And then the Mac Studio gets the biggest jump I've seen of all this stuff. It goes from $2000 starting to $2500. It's like a 25% price increase. The iPad Airs have gone from $599 to $749. The iPad Pro goes from $1000 to
$1200. And there's so much more. The Apple TVs, the HomePod, the HomePod mini, and the Vision Pro all got price increases. The iPhone is safe for now, but I would keep an eye on that. And yeah, I feel like that Mac mini price
like a warning shot and now there's this is just all the rest of it. If I was guessing, this is a temporary price increase for as long as this memory shortage lasts, but we also have no idea how long it's going to be. So I would
just consider this the new prices for everything. And we can thank SK Hynix everything. And we can thank SK Hynix for that.
