# SPIDER-MAN BRAND NEW DAY TRAILER | Live Reaction + Q&A

> Source: [SPIDER-MAN BRAND NEW DAY TRAILER | Live Reaction + Q&A](https://youtube.com/watch?v=07bwjMzdFBg)

## Summary

In this live stream, host Eric Voss reacts to the freshly released trailer for *Spider-Man Brand New Day*. He shares initial impressions, discusses major characters like Gan Gray (Sadie Sink) and the Hulk, and explores theories about the symbiote, organic webbing, and the film's street-level, introspective focus. The stream serves as a prelude to a detailed frame-by-frame analysis coming later.

### Key Points

- **Trailer Drop and Reaction Purpose** [01:13] — Eric Voss reacts to the new *Spider-Man Brand New Day* trailer, acknowledging that a full breakdown will follow later on the main channel.
- **Scorpion's Return and New Suit** [05:04] — Peter confronts Matt Gargan (Scorpion) who has a new suit; he previously threatened to kill Peter in *Homecoming*.
- **Gan Gray's Powers** [05:26] — Sadie Sink's character (identified as Gan Gray) freezes DODC soldiers, establishing her psychic and telepathic abilities that allow her to jump between people.
- **Street Level Story** [08:36] — Unlike previous films, this movie is described as a street-level, introspective journey for Peter Parker rather than a global crisis.
- **Ramifications of the Memory Spell** [10:43] — The emotional impact of Doctor Strange's spell is a key plot point: Peter has been stalking Ned and MJ for four years, unable to move on.
- **Possible Main Villains** [11:09] — Discussion includes potential villains like Jackal (Keith David), the DODC, or the Hulk, though the trailer focuses on multiple threats rather than a single antagonist.
- **Peter's Immunity to Freezing** [13:38] — Peter's spider-sense may allow him to bypass Gan Gray's freezing powers, similar to how he moved in the astral plane in *No Way Home*.
- **Gamma Radiation and Mutants** [14:54] — The trailer suggests gamma radiation is key to both Hulk's transformation and mutant powers, possibly linking the X-gene to gamma signatures.
- **Multiple Hulk Colors** [23:46] — The movie will feature not only green Hulk but also a gray Hulk form, hinted at by cast interviews.
- **Hulk Thunderclap Return** [25:06] — The trailer shows a Hulk thunderclap, a move missing since 2008's *The Incredible Hulk*, restoring a classic aspect of the character.
- **Daredevil Speculation** [26:37] — Despite Charlie Cox's denials, many fans suspect Daredevil appears due to The Hand's presence and a scrubbed shot in the previous trailer.
- **Organic Webbing Theories** [29:55] — Peter's mutation might lead to organic webbing, moving away from Stark tech and echoing Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man.
- **Love as a Transcendent Force** [36:32] — Eric references *Interstellar* to suggest that love might be the variable that overcomes the memory spell's barriers.
- **Post-Credit Scene Plans** [41:36] — The movie will likely have two post-credit scenes: one for Sony (symbiote/Venom setup) and one for Marvel (setting up Doomsday or Secret Wars).
- **Dark Phoenix Saga Commentary** [50:30] — Eric argues that the Dark Phoenix storyline is difficult to adapt in the modern era and may not be the focus here; instead, the movie explores gamma radiation and mutation.

### Conclusion

The trailer for *Spider-Man Brand New Day* promises a street-level story focusing on Peter Parker's personal struggles and mutations, while introducing Gan Gray and a savage Hulk. The host emphasizes that the film deals with the emotional fallout of the memory spell and sets up future MCU events like Secret Wars.

Heat. Heat.
Hey,
hey,
hey.
Hello, welcome, welcome, welcome back to
New Rockstars. I'm Eric Boss. We're
going to be reacting to the new trailer
for Spider-Man Brand New Day that just
dropped noon Pacific time, 3 Eastern
time, and some other time depending on
where you live around the world. Uh,
this trailer I I really just got a
chance to look at it. Now, we're going
to have our proper frame by frame
analysis that's going to be publishing
to the New Rockstars channel later
today. Uh, we're going to take our time
with it. We're going to find everything
that you might have missed in it. In
this video, I'm just going to be
reacting to it. I I don't know if we'll
do a full proper reaction to it, but
we'll kind of go through it together. I
want to see if you and I can experience
some interesting discoveries at the same
time. I'm here to answer your questions
the best that I can. I want to hear your
impressions. I want to hear your
reactions. What what most excites your
curiosity from this trailer? Uh what do
you think is going on in this movie?
What are you most excited to see? What
are your theories? What are your ideas?
Hit me up in the chat. You can uh do a
super chat if you want. If you're
generous, uh you can just try to chat in
general. I'll really really try to
answer your questions. I really
appreciate all of you. Um
uh so we're just getting the the stream
started right now. How's the audio
sounding?
>> It sounds great, but it is a little
desyncted everybody.
>> Cool. We're going to fix that right now.
>> Um yeah,
>> thank you guys for joining. Uh 1,600 of
you. Holy crap. Thanks so much. It might
be less distracting if I do this. Uh
I've realized Hey, thank you all. Here,
here. Let's get Let's get some Oh, here
we go. Uh, thank you all so much for
joining the stream. Brian's here
figuring out the synchronization issue.
Um, we're going to be reacting to this
trailer.
Do you guys Hello. Can you How is this?
We're still getting started here uh as
we're going to be going through this
trailer bit by bit. Um, if uh we're
sorry about the synchronization issue.
This just happens sometimes and we have
so many of you joining us at the same
time. Um, and uh we we'll figure this
out before we get going so it won't be
too distracting. Um,
oh, it says fixed. Are we fixed? Are we
good?
>> Mostly there. I'll just do a slight
adjustment.
>> Oh, a slight adjustment.
>> The slightest bit of adjustment.
>> I am a very model lover major general.
Uh,
okay. Great. I I think I think it's
Yeah, I I think it's most of the way
there. Clap.
Did that sync up for you guys? Let Let
us know.
>> Let us know. Um, Berg's not in the
studio. Um,
unfortunately. Um, but he is, uh, in the
chat, so be nice to Berg in the chat.
Uh, ask him your whale questions. He's
still obsessed with Whalefall. Um, okay.
We're going to go forth with this. Uh,
and we're going to go through this
trailer bit by bit. Uh, oh, I love that.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Um, again, if you want
have if you have specific questions, if
you have specific theories or thoughts,
um, if you're a member, I'll I'll see it
there. If you hit us up with a super
chat, I'll see it there. Or I'll try to
just answer it if I just see it through
this rapidly uh ex uh streaming chat
window.
Um, we got a thought here from goodness
producer. They definitely have bigger
surprises like Gan Gray or Greyhulk in
it. Yeah, we'll talk about Greyhulk in
this stream. Uh, there was this
interview that came out from Fandango
earlier today that we're going to do a
separate video about on the New Rockstar
channel tomorrow that goes into all the
weird little things that the cast
accidentally revealed in that interview.
Specifically, that Greyhulk. We're going
to see the Greyhulk form in this. Uh,
but let's talk about Savage Hulk first.
Um, okay. So, I'm going to go through
just some interesting things from this.
again. Full Easter egg breakdown is
going to be coming to the channel later
today. Uh, so Peter is confronting Matt
Gargan Scorpion here. Um, he's back with
this awesome looking new suit. It
actually looks really great. Uh, I don't
know how he broke out of prison. I don't
know who's giving him this new suit, but
he did threaten to cut off Peter
Parker's head and put it in a dryer back
in Spider-Man Homecoming. Um, what's
crazy about this shot, I believe in the
opening of this, yeah, we have two DODC
soldiers here. They are frozen. Gan
Gray, Satie Sink, has used her powers to
freeze them. She's going to be part of
whatever this this fight scene is. I
don't know the the context of this, but
a lot of people are like breaking out of
prisons in this footage.
Um, so in this, we also see Peter's eye.
I I love the repeated macro close-ups of
Peter's eye under his mask. An
impossible shot. you'd have to use some
kind of like VFX or whatever to get the
lens that close to his face.
Realistically, it's like Tom Holland's
face darkened as if it was under a mask
uh wearing some kind of contact or they
black out his eye with VFX. But man, it
looks really really cool whenever we see
this in the trailer. Um Peter's
questioning what's going on with himself
here.
Uh yeah, fights going on.
>> Um
So, one of the things that we saw in the
first trailer was Peter kind of
Instagram stalking Ned. He does follow
Ned. Um Ned's uh profile is uh I believe
the Grateful Ned 42 in the Easter egg
breakdown. I'm getting get into some
theories of why the number 42 is
interesting. Obviously, the number from
Douglas Adams Hitchhiker's Guide to the
Galaxy, the answer to all things in the
universe, uh the Jackie Robinson number,
the Miles G. Morales number, the spider
that bit Miles Morales and Into the
Spider-Verse. Earth 42 is a very
important dimension as we're going to
see beyond the Spider-Verse and the
history and the future of Miles Morales
potentially in live action as well. Hey,
thank you for your super chat. The dear
Yaj, are the trailers hiding a potential
symbiote? I mean, if they're hiding, we
wouldn't see it. Um, look, a lot of
people are saying like the way this
consciousness jumps from person to
person, is there actually some kind of
symbiote that's quickly jumping from
them? I don't know. I think it's coming
from Gan Gray's uh powers, from Satie
Sinks characters powers. I don't know if
it's a symbiote. Um, but I do think at
some point we're going to see Tom
Holland, Peter Parker interact with a
symbiote, with a Venom. Um, I think
that's just going to happen in Secret
Wars. I think that's something that we
could see in a post-redit scene. I think
if if they were going to do it in this
movie, they would have done more with
that Tom Hardy postredit scene from
Spider-Man No Way Home, but you know,
Tom Holland did say that he went through
all of social media. Every New Rockstars
video, he might not have said New
Rockstars, but you know, every Reddit
thread asking people what they most
wanted to see or just kind of lurking to
see what people really wanted to see
that even like a fanervicey film like
Spider-Man No Way Home still did not
deliver the goods on. And part of that
is a a street level story. Part of that
is a more Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire
vibe suit. Um, some of that is probably
teaming up with the Hulk and Punisher
uh, fighting the Hand, I guess. Um, I
assume some of that is team up
Spider-Man with the X-Men. And yeah,
there's probably going to be people who
were like, I want to see more of
Spider-Man and Daredevil working
together. I want to see more of
Spider-Man and Venom working together.
So maybe that is a note that Tom Holland
took and that's going to be something
that's addressed in this movie's
postredit scene. We got to have the
black suited Spider-Man somehow. I just
don't know if this story is going to get
it. I don't, you know, uh Amy Pascal
even said that this movie is not about
like a global crisis the way past ones
were. It's more about a a street level
story, an introspective journey for
Peter Parker. Tom Holland said in the
Fandango interview, it's not so much
about saving the city or saving the
world, it's about saving himself. And I
don't know if you can say that there is
an alien an alien symbiote in that type
of scale of a story.
Um yeah, Dave is also saying um Gan Gray
is the big bad jumping from person to
person based off of this trailer. I mean
Satie Sink seems kind of villainous in
what she's saying. How you know like
she's threatening MJ. That kind of feels
like a villainous type thing. Um, what's
also kind of sad about this is like in
this part of the trailer, Peter Parker
is um not just like following Ned and MJ
for their first day at MIT. This is now
them in their final semester at MI MIT,
which means for 4 years, unless they
graduated early. For four years, this
sad sack has been stalking Ned on
Instagram, watching every single one of
his stories. Imagine like when you're a
high school kid, your friends go to
college.
Like, yeah, your lives go in separate
ways. Are you really following them
every Instagram post with the same sad
look? What does that say about Peter
Parker? He was never able to find new
friends and move on even after, you
know, the the Doctor Strange spell
erased him from memory. He could have
started over with the name Maynard, as
he tells them his name is in the scene
that I saw at Cineon, and like made new
friends. Why? Uh, or he could have said,
"My name's Peter." You know, because no
one knows the name Peter Parker anyway.
It's really sad to imagine this. It's
also really sad that like Ned and MJ
just became stronger and stronger
friends during all that time. And they
were not a trio, but a duo. But
somewhere in MJ's heart, she's like,
she's just so messed up by that spell.
Like, why do I wear this necklace? I
feel like there was another friend that
we forgot about. Uh, imagine how creepy
it is if at some point you're going to
find out you had this other friend,
lifelong friend that you accidentally
ghosted over the past several years.
That's why I think this movie, just
dealing with the ramifications of the
Doctor Strange spell is such an
interesting story before you even bring
in Hulk and Gan Gray and Punisher and
the Hand and all this other stuff. just
dealing with that is like a
heartbreaking story that makes it makes
it really exciting to me. Not only that
they brought back um Eric Summers and
Chris McKenna, but that they're bringing
in Justin Critzy's to to help write that
story. I think that is just a
heartbreaking interesting story.
Um yeah, to answer your question, I
think Jackal is I don't know if he's
going to be the main villain, but I do
think that it's going to be the
character Keith David is playing. We
don't hear his voice in this trailer,
but the whole spiders have three life
cycles. I think there is going to be a
Dr. Miles Warren, professor in the
faculty of Empire State University. Main
villain. I don't know about that,
though. Uh, but Keith David is certainly
capable and cool enough to be a main
villain. I just think we would have
heard about him if they he was going to
be that important. We're only a month
out, you know, 6 weeks out. Um, do we
think the main villain is still not
shown yet? Is it not Hulk or Jean Gray?
Thank you for your super chat. Uh, two
of KN Scoops. What's going on? Yeah. Um,
yes. Um, I I think at this point we are
seeing um we're seeing villainous
presence. I don't
like bad. I think there's a lot of
villains that Peter Parker is facing in
this, but like a story, even a superhero
story doesn't always need a villain to
be a good movie. Sometimes the vi like
arguably I guess Spider-Man No Way Home
Green Goblin ended up being a villain,
but was he the same villain that Peter
Parker was facing all three acts of that
movie or just a consequence of the
bigger crisis that Peter Parker was
handling in that movie? Uh I don't know
if like it's fair to say Green Goblin
was the only big bad of that story
despite him killing Aunt May. Um I just
saw Toy Story 5 and I think that's a
great example. You know, Pixar as a
studio started in this model of having
these rules that they were going to do
to differentiate themselves from Disney
animated films. And one of their rules
was we're not going to have a villain.
Now, obviously they backpedal from that.
You know, um the Incredibles movies have
villain. Lotso is a is a villain. U but
I think Toy Story 5 reminds me a lot of
Toy Story 1 in that there isn't like a
definitive villain of the story. And I
wonder if like just biology um um just
the consequences of having to make
sacrifices to better off your friends
could be kind of the the op the
antagonist of this movie and everything
else is a consequence of that. Um or it
could be like whatever nefarious human
corporation is trying to weaponize gamma
radiation detection technology. If you
want me if you're going to press me to
find a villain of that, it's going to be
something like OCRP or the DODC.
Um thank you for your super chat, Sarah.
Did you watch the Ned promo vid of him
launching his Spidey tracking app? I did
watch that. Do you think Peter is being
able to move when everyone else is
frozen could be tied to how he can also
move his physical body while in the
astral plane? Yes, that is something
that we go into in the Easter egg
breakdown coming later today. Remember
in Spider-Man No Way Home when Doctor
Strange pushes Peter's astral form out
of his body and Peter can use the Spidey
sense as his astral form to still puppet
his physical body. I think having the
arachno frequency and that um in that
spidey sense allows pet Peter to bypass
certain magical attacks and even mutant
powers that cause people's bodies to
freeze. So I think that is why it
doesn't affect Peter.
Um Wesley Clark, thank you for your
super chat saying Jean getting her
Professor X on with freeze and
possession of folks. Yeah. Uh we'll get
to that later in this video, but jumping
ahead here. Um you're not wrong. I mean,
the way her powers manifest by like I'm
trying to find the exact moment. Yeah,
she kind of jumps from person to person.
>> You okay? You get rid of that monster
inside.
>> Yeah, that kind of controlling of their
bodies. I also really like how they um
how they coached all the extras in this
movie to freeze in a particular way.
Yeah, this shock wave emitting from
Roosevelt Island. That looks like the
same prison facility. That's not
normally on Roosevelt Island in
Manhattan. Um, that I think is a prison
facility where Gan Gray is being kept.
Um, Roosevelt Island, famous of the
Roosevelt Island tramway that you saw in
Sam Ramy's Spider-Man 1 and in
Spider-Man No Way Home. Um, she's
releasing these shock waves that freeze
people. Look. Uh, I mean, all these
extras, the way they just kind of bend
their bodies, it's just really great.
Uh, spilling the tea and freezing the
chopsticks like that. That is something
that was I I don't think we've seen Gan
Gray in live action ever do that, but
certainly Charles Xavier, Professor X,
they have similar power sets, and I do
think I do think Sadie Stink is playing
Gan Gray. I think it's at this point
hard to make any other argument. What's
interesting here is, doesn't it look
like Frank Castle's also not immune or
also is immune? like he's being spared
by by Gan Gray for whatever reason. That
I have a lot of questions about. What
powers does he have other than, you
know, torturing himself? Like that to me
is equally fascinating.
Um, thank you for your super chat,
Indian Warrior 3. Glad they actually
released a trailer today, unlike what
Russa Brothers did at Coffeegate.
Excited for your breakdown. Keep it up.
Thank you. Yeah. Uh, Marvel Studios, get
your get your trailer out there for the
love of God. This is how exciting things
can be when we're all living in this
moment together on YouTube and publicly,
whatever platform we're on. Um, while
Sony's marketing decisions have been a
little weird, here we are during
business daylight hours uh, in America
and we're able to just react to a
trailer. This is great marketing. I
mean, uh, have you gotten your ticket
yet for Spider-Man Brand New Day? I was
able to get mine, but like the weight
list was was almost as hard as many
theaters for the Odyssey. Um, and the
Odyssey was just like P pl PLF screens.
This is just like any screen. A little
bummer that uh Spider-Man Brand New Day
doesn't appear to be on IMAX, but that's
because the Odyssey is going to have all
the IMAX screens wrapped up, but that
might even be better for this movie. I
think this movie is going to be best
watched in Dolby if you have an
opportunity to see it. Um, I just think
any of the sound effects that they do
with like the voices Peter hears, the
roaring, the thipping, all this stuff,
it's going to be really fun. And Dolby
always does a good job. There they did
have a promo today saying that they're
going to do special stuff with Screen X
where they actually shot specific
bespoke footage that's going to be on
the side screens for Screen X. Nothing
against Screen X. I think certain movies
are great to watch that way. I It's just
not my preferred way. And I think but I
do like hearing that they did try to
shoot stuff specifically for that. But I
also am someone who's a sucker for just
the frame itself as it was. That to me
is the cinematic tradition that we've
been part of our entire lives. I don't
need something to where I can look over
here and ignore what's happening on the
main screen and just be entertained over
here. To me, that's not a cinematic
experience. That's like a different kind
of immersive experience. That's not
necessarily not fun, but it's just not
the cinematic experience that I am used
to. Uh, another take here. Thank you for
your super chat, Martin. I personally
think Holland won't have the symbiote in
a major way. Maybe just for Secret Wars,
but I'd like to see a live action MCU
Miles Morales deal dealing with a
symbiote just to change it up a bit. I
agree. I think uh I'd like to see how
Miles reacts to a symbiote. Um, there is
a liveaction Miles Morales who exists in
the 616 universe. Donald Glover played
Aaron Davis and talked about a nephew
who lives in the area. So, he's already
there. We just have to wait till after
2027 Spider-Man beyond the Spider-Verse
before we're going to see that Miles in
the MCU. So, it may be in Secret Wars.
It may be in some Spider-Man movie,
Spider-Man 5. Tom Holland has even said
in an interview that he wants to be the
mentor figure to the SpiderGwen or the
Miles Morales uh the way Robert Downey
Jr. was for him. So, I think it's going
to happen.
Uh, oh, another theory for symbiots.
Thank you for your super chat. Um, could
couldn't the dark eyes be a small dollop
of goop symbiote turning Spidey little
by little? I like that theory a lot. I
uh I don't think that's exactly what it
is, but you know what? I've been wrong
before. Um I think that could work here.
Let's take a look at that again. Um the
black eyes is just it looks really good.
It's just um the symbiote
um doesn't necessarily just manifest in
the eyes first. It does other things
first. But um I really do like that
theory. If it if that ends up being the
case, I wouldn't be disappointed.
Uh another question here. Do you think
we get to see the Phoenix Force at the
end scene that sets up Secret Wars?
I I don't know if it would be the
postredit scene of this movie because I
think the postredit scene is going to be
more singularly focused on Doomsday, but
I think there will be another scene
somewhere in this movie that hints at
the fact that she has this other cosmic
force that attaches to her. Over under
20% MJ remembers Peter Spider-Man by the
end of the movie. I think over 20%. I
think um MJ is I mean she's still
wearing the black Dalia necklace that he
got her in Far From Home. Um, I think
there's part of her who is going to have
her memory uh reattached. I think this
movie is going to address the exact
logic and mechanics of the memory wipe
spell and how it might have warped
reality in other ways. One of the things
that the script pages a destined to
entertainment weekly showed is that the
opening Marvel titles of this movie are
going to show like Back to the Future
Marty McFly photos that just fade Peter
Parker from the physical media evidence
of his existence. So, there's pictures
with Ned and MJ and Aunt May and then
Peter's just going to fade from those.
This movie isn't just quickly moving on
from the events of No Way Home. It's
it's readressing them in a way that I
think could matter a lot to the history
of the MCU. Um, and I think we're going
to find out exactly what powers can
overrule the ruins of Cough Call. And is
there something about just love and
affection that bypasses those borders of
known and unknown realities? Could that
be some kind of mechanism that can help
the Avengers in Doomsday or Secret Wars?
Uh, thank you for your super chat. Do
you think they're going to do Hulk
justice in this movie? What's your
thoughts on Hulk specifically? All
right, let's get to the Hulk of it all.
Where are we, Mr. Hulk? Here we go. So,
this Hulk just looks great in this. Can
we just talk about him here? Uh, Peter's
like, I didn't know you could get that
big. I really, really love that detail.
Um because normally Smart Hulk is only
designed by the VFX animators to be 7
foot 5 in, but Savage Hulk from Thor
Ragnarok from Age of Ultron is meant to
be 8'5 in. So they shrunk him a little
bit to make him more, I don't know,
humanistic intelligent approachable
less of a monster. Uh but they also
nerfed him by doing that. So letting him
be as big as he is here lets the
character be the character. Uh, it seems
like Sades Sinks powers, uh, Gan Gay's
powers are tapping into Bruce Banner
subconscious or at least damages his,
uh, Hulk suppressor, gamma suppressor
device. I do think gamma radiation is
going to be very important to this
story. I think gamma radiation is kind
of the key not only to the Hulk's
powers, but I do think it's going to be
the key to all mutant powers. I think uh
there's a moment where Sadi Sink uh or
repeater is kind of tracking her in this
trailer through the wedding terrace
where here I just saw it um where like
uh there's like a numerical
sorry about that
here it is okay so what's going on here
right I think these numbers refer to
gamma radiation that uh is kind of
presence present in the minds of the
whom um who Satie Sinks or Gan Gray is
kind of jumping into. Uh I don't think
it's distance, right? Because that's
0.59, that's 5.31.
I think it refers to like the amount of
gamma radiation. That would be the only
way any kind of technical interface
could detect it. Uh if you look in the
upper screen here, it's a Wi-Fi
connected thing. I think this pet this
is Peter's new AI service. EV stands for
Eric Voss. Uh that is I'm just kidding.
it's not my name uh that is detecting
these things. Uh and I think there would
have to be some kind of radiation
signature left there. And if that's the
case, it would mean that like genes gene
gay's powers have a gamma radiation
signature. And maybe every mutant has
some kind of gamma radiation that makes
them the way that they are, right? Maybe
the Xgene kind of signals a type of
gamma radiation. Uh maybe the gamma
radiation is a signature that's left
there by the runes of cough call that
warped the reality in a specific way. I
don't know. But he's detecting something
that's some kind of physical trace that
he's able to detect here. So that's why
I think that's a connection I think uh
with Bruce Banner. I think this if it is
gamma radiation that could explain why
it damages uh Bruce's device, why Bruce
is Hulking out, why she's able to do
this. Um in the interview that came out
today, they indicated that a green Hulk
is not going to be the only color of
Hulk that we see in this movie. That
there's going to be a gray Hulk as well.
They didn't say gray, but they said that
there are other colors. Jacob Battleon
might have been referring to the fact
that there are there's a red Hulk, but I
think that was just him covering for
Zenaia in that moment. I think we're
going to see a further greyhulk form.
Not necessarily a Joe fix it Vegas thug
enforcer form, but like a greyhulk form
that can speak in complete sentences and
be willing to do morally corrupt things.
Whereas Green Hulk isn't like evil. He's
kind of chaotic neutral. Um, he's just
kind of a rage monster who's just
generally angry at anything that gets in
his way.
uh Greyhulk can control it a bit more
focused and I think she's going to send
him after whatever the proprietary gamma
detection software and technology that
the bad guys of this movie have whether
it be the DODC or OC Corp or some other
entity Horizon Labs Alchemax something.
Um but isn't this cool how like we're in
some kind of lab here. light projected
on his chest and his traps here is like
from some kind of uh digital readout
that reminds me of the the raptor in
Jurassic Park when the the DNA base
pairs are projected on the raptor skin.
I think one of my favorite Spielberg
shots of that movie. Um we also get to
see a Hulk thunderclap and isn't that
just
how I've missed the Hulk thunderclap? We
haven't gotten a proper Thunderclap, I
think, since the 2008 Hulk movie. Yeah,
we got to see Thunderclaps in uh in
She-Hulk. But that wasn't the same
thing. It was more about showing how
She-Hulk could quickly kind of coin flip
and learn uh instinctively how to do
Thunderclaps that were even more
powerful than her cousins were. The fact
that we get to see him use it on Peter
Parker here is just like, "Yes,
finally." The reason we haven't seen the
Thunderclaps is Jos Sweden thought the
move was lame and didn't put it in
2012's Avengers or 2015's Age of Ultron.
Uh, the Russo brothers in general didn't
really know how to like shoot the Hulk
in a way that fit in the stories they
were trying to tell, but clearly Destin
Daniel [ __ ] loves the character and
Tom Holland loves the character and is
like restoring what we loved about the
character.
Um, another super chat. Thank you. Uh,
do you think that Gene might mind
control Frank for protection? Like maybe
he's the most capable person to get her
out of the prison. Yeah, maybe. I think
there's some kind of the one connection
I saw with uh Punisher: One Last Kill is
that uh Frank is very easily susceptible
to daughter figures who are being
oppressed in some way. Like just seeing
the Bodega owner's daughter being
threatened in this movie reminded him of
his daughter and I think he's going to
transfer that to Satie Sinks character
in this movie. So I think there's going
to be like a protective relationship. We
just haven't seen the two of them in a
scene in the trailer yet. Interesting
that we saw Frank Castle and Zenaia MJ
in a scene yet. Do you still think
Daredevil is a possibility? I do. I do.
Even though like Charlie Cox has made it
very clear that he doesn't want us to
think that he's in this movie. It's
these scenes with the hand. Like we have
a lot of different shots with the hand
and we don't see the shot in this
trailer, but like Tom Holland did say in
the interview that like they really did
65 takes at least to get the shot that
we had in the previous trailer where we
think like someone was scrubbed out of
it. Andrew Garfield take a look at that
took a look at that scrubbed out photo
and just said like, "Well, you can say
anybody was scrubbed out of anything."
Um, I don't know. I believe Charlie Cox
when he says this, but I also I can't
believe any of these actors when they
say anything.
Uh, thank you for your super chat. Since
they are kind of following the Neoenics
nightmare, when the character jumping
person to person be an updated
chameleon, I you know more about that
than I do. Um, I think that is clearly
at this point in the trailer some kind
of effect of of Sadi Sink's power set.
It is something that is psychic and
telepathic in a specific way. Uh, it's
something that can manifest in physical
changes. So, I think you could look at
things in different lenses and kind of
make a case for whatever your theory is,
but I just think the most logical
explanation for what we're seeing is
that this is how the MCU Gan Gray is
going to work.
Uh, seems like Pun Pun will be watching
over MJ. Uh, also is Marissa Toé
narrating at the end. Um, that is
Marissa Toé's voice at the end of it.
Um, that Peter is I I don't know. It's
interesting that they bring back Marissa
Toé to say a bit of wisdom. I kind of
wonder, are we going to see a flashback
with Aunt May? I think we must. Um,
thank you for asking that twice. I
really appreciate that. Um, thank you
for your super chat, Marco saying, I
think Gan Gray in this instance is a
consequence of great power without
responsibility. It might be showing that
Gan Gray without the X-Men guidance
suggest a very moral question morally
questionable behavior. I love that
interpretation. Yeah, I think you're
right. I think like there's a lot of
characters who with uh are going to have
great power but no responsibility.
That's going to be advice that a lot of
characters take. And I I think that's
going to be the core reason why you
introduce Gan Gray in a Spider-Man movie
is that you need to see young, very
powerful characters in the MCU that
don't really know what to do with their
powers and and then blame the oppression
they're feeling on everybody without
realizing that, oh, despite the people
who scorn and hate you, you still owe
the world the best application of your
powers. Um, yeah. Yeah, and that's a
hard lesson to learn if you have someone
like, you know, Jean Gray who's being
imprisoned by the DODC.
Oh, a theory here from Bohob. Thanks for
the super chat. Sticking with my theory
that the eyes are actually mutation
derived from instant kill mode. The
coloration feels similar. Maybe he's
mutating uh attributes inspired from
certain people like organic webbing from
Toby. Really, really cool theory there.
Remember instant kill mode? how it was
like this intimidation voice that he
used on uh Donald Glover's character in
Spider-Man Homecoming. It was from a
Spider-Man Homecoming affect that in
addition to his arachn frequency picking
up tips and design a effects from uh his
brothers Toby and Andrew from their
alternate universes that just the Stark
tech mode uh there's certain kind of
benefits um of those of those suits and
features that he might have
internalized. Um, I like that idea that
there could be an organic version of
instant kill mode. I think we want to be
very careful doing too much Stark tech
in this movie. I think that is a lesson
that they're really trying to apply. But
if there is like an organic take on it
the same way we have organic webbing, I
think that could be really fun. Yeah,
answered this question earlier. I I do
think there's still a chance I think
just a small chance that Daredevil's
going to be in this movie. But thanks
for the super chat. Um, another question
here. By chance, do you think the hood
on Satie Synync is just for the trailers
and won't be a hood at all for the
actual movie? I do think this is how
she's going to be dressed in the movie.
Um I don't think that's just like a
digitally added thing. Um because we've
seen her in set photos wearing this kind
of outfit. Oh, sorry. It's earlier in
the trailer.
Um
yeah, I I think that's how she's going
to look in the movie. I don't think
they're they're hiding anything here.
But it is interesting that she's in
Peter Parker's apartment. That's
something I can't figure out is like
she she's in his home. I I'll admit it's
weird that her face is completely
blacked out like a Sith or something
like that. Um like maybe we'll see more
of her face in the final cut of the
trailer and trying to hide it, but like
we all know this is Sadi Sink. I don't
know why they would hide her face that
much in this shot unless there's
something particular about her face that
you know would spoil it.
Uh thanks for your super chat. Could the
monster inside you that Gene refers to
on the trailer be a reference or hint to
a possible man spider mutation? You
know, uh, with the second trailer, I
was, uh, more bullish on the man spider
theory that Peter's mutation is going to
have him grow extra arms. Uh, I think we
might just get a hint to that and maybe
like kind of a nightmare that he has or
a hallucination or or I think it might
be a brief thing that we see, but I
don't think it's going to be a big part
of this movie. I think it's just a
little too freaky and weird for a movie
that they want to make $2 billion. I
think it's it it can be part it can be a
glimpse of something, but I don't think
it's going to be a big like, you know,
American Werewolf in London type plot
where his body just starts getting that
freaky.
Will Hulk remember Peter like in the
comics? Yeah, this is a question we've
uh addressed a lot. Um will um does Hulk
does a savage Hulk form remember who
Peter Parker is? The argument I've made
is that Hulk, this Savage Hulk form
never knew that Peter Parker was
Spider-Man. that they never were
together at the same time. And Hulk is
always so angry. I don't think he's like
collecting information like that and
storing it the same way we do. Um, they
were in the Central Park battle, but
that was before, you know, Hulk was off
world for most of the time Peter Parker
was with the Avengers. He we saw him in
Infinity War going, "Wait, there's an
Ant-Man and a Spider-Man." But that
point Peter was off world on the Q ship
going to Titan and then he dusted on
Titan. Um, now obviously he probably
would have picked up some information as
he was Mark Ruffalo human or uh um Bruce
Banner form. Uh, his Peter Parker's face
was among the dusted victims at the
beginning of Endgame. So, he probably
figured it out from there. But at that
point, you know, Savage Hulk never
really came out and after getting beaten
by Thanos in Infinity War. So, Smart
Hulk obviously would know, but I don't
know if Savage Hulk would know that
information. So, it's it's kind of hard
to know.
Okay. Yeah, let's look at this part of
the trailer when he sees Ned's research
wall. I believe there are some fun
Easter eggs here. Um, this whole idea of
a Latino parkour prodigy. Obviously,
there's a Miguel O'Hara, a Latino
Spider-Man who exists in the multiverse,
but this is Carlos Rodriguez, someone
else. Um, uh, I think we find a lot of
fun look alikes, and I think there will
be, um, some Easter eggs in this that I
I will be breaking down. Uh the whole
idea of a queen's accent is very very
funny to me because um Tom Holland
deliberately choosing to do a Queen's
accent is part of the reason why this
all works. Um
but uh it's like the fact that Tom
Holland doesn't just do a generic
Brooklyn accent. Um I think I I don't
know. I have a theory this might be
Harry Holland. This might be Tom's
brother. Looking at it now, I don't
know. I think it's just another kind of
boy who looks like this. Um, they call
him 5'7 and a half, which is really
funny because it's one is half an inch
shorter than Tom Holland actually is.
Um,
yeah, there's a there's a fun detail
from the Cineacon scene that I saw where
like Ned thinks like the Flash, like you
not the Flash, Flash, Eugene Thompson is
uh is a suspect along with Mr.
Harrington. So, I think there's just
like a lot of fun fun bits that they're
going to be doing here.
Thanks for your super chat. As soon as
my son uh Kawa and I saw the wedding
cake, we thought it was Zenaia on the
drama. Is she getting married again?
Whose wedding is that? I predict Peter
asks MJ to marry her in the ending. I I
have not seen the drama yet. I know
generally what it's about. I love this
shot in the trailer when he does knock
over that wedding cake. It's very funny.
>> One we can't even see.
>> I'm looking for the shot in particular,
but I know what you're talking about.
Um, yeah, you know, Tom and Zenaia in
real life are married. That was
confirmed. Um, we all kind of knew they
were married for several months now, but
he confirmed it recently in an
interview. Um, I think if if MJ is still
trying to remember that she had a third
or had had another friend, a third of
that trio, I think jumping straight to a
proposal would be a little premature.
Uh, I don't know. I don't know if like
MJ and Peter are going to end up
together in this movie. I think that's
just like too hard. I don't know if
they're each other's forever people. And
I think part of this is going to be um
Peter learning to move on.
Hell yeah. Go Nicks.
Um yeah. Uh in this Let's see if there's
any shots where Daredevil could appear.
I don't think Daredevil's in the prison
here.
I mean, I don't know. I mean, this is
like my favorite stunt in the trailer.
Look at that. So cool.
>> Maybe in the final shot where Peter's
jumping from the rubble.
Yeah, I don't think we see
Daredevil here though. Isn't it
interesting this building? Is it the
Empire State Building or is it some
other building that's way taller than
the other buildings of New York? Like
look, there's no other skyscrapers here.
Um,
kind of looks like Empire State or it
could be a new tower,
an Oscorp tower or something like that.
I don't think I'm not seeing any shots
where Daredevil might have been scrubbed
out.
Yes, I agree JC. I think uh like the
line in Christopher Nolan's
Interstellar, love is the one variable
that surpasses gravity, time, and
dimension.
Um Owen's not a fan of the organic
webbing. And I think web shooters lead
to interesting dilemmas like the one at
the end of Far From Home. I think that
we will still see those dilemmas in this
movie. Um I think the organic webbing is
just an exploration of this movie. Uh
but there's like a shot where Peter's
like something happens here.
Like I don't know if that's from the
organic webbing. I think that's like a
web cartridge exploding. We also know
that Peter's gonna have gamma wedding
webbing in this. So, I think that's
going to be um an artificial thing that
he you still see some of those
complications with. Um I think Peter's
still going to do a lot of tinkering.
You know, I think that's a core part of
this Peter that is still going to be
part of the street level story they're
telling. But I I get your concern.
You think that looks like Greyhulk in
the scene where he's fallen? Let me look
at it again.
I don't know. He looks pretty green to
me in that.
Yeah, that's about that's greener than
even the other green shots of Green
Hulk. Um, it I mean the effects of this
look a little rotoscoped painted on.
I'll say that. But who cares? It's more
about the
the context of whatever the hell is
going on here that I find interesting.
Big fan Eve. Thank you for your super
chat. Uh, trailer makes Gene look a bit
evil. Is that the case? If not, who's
the main bad guy? Wink wink misto. Ah,
don't think it's Meisto.
But yeah, Jean does seem kind of mean
the way she's like going after MJ
specifically and taunting Peter about
that. I don't know. I I do think that
she's going to be somewhat villainous,
but I do think there's going to be a
greater villain in this.
Uh, looks like Sadi Sink's character
also gets larger before Hulga could be a
different effect.
>> He might.
>> Are you talking about here when she
>> But he might. But he might
>> Oh, I hear what you're saying. No, I
think that's just like the camera
pushing in closer to her, but I think
that's kind of like an intentive effect.
Like we're seeing her kind of doing this
to Bruce's body. What's interesting is
Bruce is in a completely different
location. Um, so I don't know if it's
just trailer editing suggesting that
she's doing this in this moment, but I I
do think she is causing him uh to go
through this.
Another super chat here. Do you think
Bruce Banner regains control of his Hulk
form by the end of the movie or will the
threat of Savage Hulk continue into his
possible appearance in Doomsday and
Secret Wars? We don't know if the Hulk
is going to be in Doomsday. I assume
he's going to be in Secret Wars. I hope
that we get a Savage Hulk in Secret
Wars. I I personally don't like the gray
Hulk thing. I I want my Hulk to be
green. Um so if we have a Grey Hulk, I
hope it's like a temporary phase that
he's in. I just we haven't gotten enough
green Hulk in the MCU. So, if we get a
Hulk in Secret Wars, I just want it to
be a Savage Hulk. I there's so many fun
playgrounds within Battle World that I
just want to see Savage Hulk smash
through. He's more fun as a character
that way than someone who can complete
full sentences. Um, so I I kind of don't
want him to I want him to get back to
classic Hulk. I don't want any wrist
gamma suppressor device. I want Hulk I
want Bruce Banner to have to walk this
world and just have to maintain through
steady breathing and um and temper
control exercises
uh his balance with this Hulk identity.
Um thank you for your super chat. It
would be a big missed opportunity not to
feature Daredevil. Why do you think
Spider-Man is in jail then? Yeah, I I
think that's like a fair question to
ask. Like he's breaking into some prison
facility, some DODC vault. Yeah, this
brick structure. That's definitely what
we saw on uh
>> on Roosevelt Island. Um
yeah, I don't know why The Hand is all
in this prison. I don't know why The
Hand is back uh in general. Um but I do
agree with you. I think this movie does
need a Daredevil in it, even a Matt
Murdoch in it. Um it's just Matt
Murdoch, I think, is going to begin
Daredevil Born Again season 3 in that
jail. The photo that Mike Coulter shared
was um like Luke Cage in the prison
location with Charlie Cox wearing the
the orange suit and then at the end of
Daredevil Born Again season 2, we didn't
see Luke Cage in that prison yet. So
that was a shot from season 3 and then
Matt's still in jail at the start of
season 3. So that's why I just don't
think we're going to see him getting
broken out of a prison. Um I also think
it's a different prison than whatever
this is.
Someone else asking, "It's pretty clear
Electra is returning to Daryl Born again
season 3. Do you think we get a smaller
minor cameo from Electra in the hand?" I
don't think they're going to use this
movie to bring in Ellie Young as
Electra. Um, but I do think you're
right. I think she's going to be in
Daredevil Born Again season 3.
Um, another question about the symbiote.
Do you think they're saving the symbiote
from the movies postredit scene for the
very very end to tie in with Secret
Wars? Yeah, someone else asked this
before. I think if we see the symbiote
at all, it would tie in with like a
postredit scene. Usually with these um
Sony Marvel co-productions, we've seen
two postredit scenes, one for Marvel,
one for Sony. Um you know, Spider-Man No
Way Home had a post-redit scene with Tom
Hardy as Venom, something that kind of
tied in with Venom: The Last Dance. Sort
of, not really. And then the other
postredit scene was just kind of a
trailer for Multiverse of Madness. Uh
that was one for Marvel. in Spider-Man
Far From Home. Remember, we had one that
was kind of setting up the scene that
would lead off Spider-Man No Way Home
where it was bring back Jay K. Simmons
as Jonah Jameson and and having Team
Mysterio with the posumous video
revealing that Peter Parker's
Spider-Man. That was like the Sony the
Sony one. And then the Marvel one was
revealing Nick Fury and Maria Hill as as
scrolls. Something I don't know what
that was going to set up. Secret
Invasion, another uh Captain Marvel
sequel or something like that. I I don't
know exactly what that was going
forward, but definitely a Marvel Studios
one. Um, so with this one, we're gonna
have one that sets up like
something that Sony wants, which is like
more Venom, more Spidey Venom
connection. And I think we're going to
have one that sets up like specifically
Battle World or or or Gan Gray's future
as uh as one of the X-Men um or
something that Peter Parker might
actually show up in Doomsday or or some
kind of incursion in the sky. Uh, like
the question is like is Marvel Studios
going to be using this summer 2026 movie
to set up Secret Wars at the very end of
2027 or are they going to use it to
really set up the movie that they need
to make a lot of money at the end of
2026. So just based on that, you know,
financially motivated question, I I do
think it's more likely that they set up
Doomsday more than Secret Wars. So that
would leave Sadi Sync out of it. And I
think there's going to be an earlier
scene in the movie that sets up the
X-Men of it all that isn't necessarily
the postredit scene.
Another question here. Feel like the
scene is going to be Peter asking,
"What's your name in in her going Jean?"
Jean Gray. A little 007 coded there. Um
I think we'll learn her name earlier in
the movie, just not in the postredit
scene. Um look at the helicopter window.
It has Riker's names on it. John Riker
will be in the BTS. Oh. Oh, does it have
recorders? I remember seeing John, the
name John and Lucy, right?
I know what you're talking about here.
We're gonna go through it.
>> I'm MJ.
>> Where's that? I think it's earlier in
the trailer. Sorry.
Um,
stand by. Here we go. I see John and
Lucy uh, just married. I don't see Riker
on it. I'm thinking this could be John
Jameson, Jonah's son. You know,
Spider-Man 2 had the whole thing of him
paying for his son's wedding with MJ and
then she ran out. Uh, it'd be really
funny. I mean, JK Simmons still exists
in this in this New York running the
Daily Bugle. Maybe he used his uh
company's helicopter to do this. But
here, I want to see what you're talking
about with Rikers.
I'm not seeing Rikers uh with a Y or an
I. Just seemed like a helicopter caution
sign here. It's pretty dangerous to land
helicopters on some of these landing
pads when they're lower than the
buildings around them. Uh also crazy to
put a helicopter as like a sendoff
goodbye when the when the cocktail hour
or the wedding is so close. like all
these people's hair is going to be
destroyed.
Uh yeah, this to me I'm like most
excited to dig into for the Easter egg
breakdown. Not seeing Riker. Uh but I do
think uh those names like it's some kind
of wedding that Peter is wrecking.
Another question here. What do you think
Peter did to trigger Savage Hulk in that
room scene? Was it even Peter? Yeah, I
think it was I think it was Gan Gray. I
think it was Satie Sync who triggers him
in that moment. But also either way, it
looks like the device just gets damaged
in some way. So, anything could have
done that damage. Um, you know, it it
doesn't even have to be Gan Gray getting
to his head that caused that thing to
get ruptured.
Another silly question, but do you think
Destin Daniel [ __ ] maybe may
incorporate the 10 rings with the hand
in some way? I think it might be a
little oversted if you have ninjas from
two different secret armies in this
movie. I think you have the hand. I
don't know if you also have like the 10
rings um led by Xyling in this movie. I
I I just think that might over
complicate it, over stuff it. Uh I don't
think it's a silly question though. When
NJ asks Frank, "Are you just going to
let him go alone?" That might be a
reference to them getting Daredevil.
Oh, we just going to let him go alone. I
know what scene you're talking about. I
think she's talking about Peter, though,
right?
>> Going to let him go.
>> Going to let him go by himself.
Look at these photos. Do we think those
are
Frank's family?
Looking at the original Statue of
Liberty before the redesign.
Uh, some family photos here.
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if
that's specifically a smoking gun for
Daredevil.
Look, it sounds like a lot. You guys
really need Daredevil to be in this
movie. I'm with you. I'm with you. I
just don't think that particular moment
is uh is definitely a daredevil thing.
But I, you know, anytime we see Frank
thinking about cooperation in general, I
do think he's thinking about Matt. I
think that's on his mind at least. I
think he's also equally thinking about
Karen.
Um, do you think Ned might think Flash's
book Flashoint has clues? Oh, yeah. I
remember Eugene wrote Flashoint, but I
think whatever clues are in there would
have been warped by the spell. So, any
kind of reference to Peter Parker or
whatever. But I think you're right. I
think all the research Ned is doing,
he's probably looked at, um, looked at
anything he can get his hands on. I
mean, the whole publishing of the book
might have been erased from memory by
the spell.
Someone asking, uh, villain Jean is off
for her. Uh, it's her pure heart and
sense of morality and sacrifice that
attract the Phoenix force to her. Maline
Prior could make more sense. Maybe
Nathaniel Essex is at Empire State
University with with Banner. Oh, so you
have a Mr. Sinister at Empire State
University. Really fun. I mean, if if
we're going to establish that there's a
full X-Men canonical history that's just
been erased from memory from the MCU,
now we're really cooking. There could be
all kinds of fun stuff and and people
who have intertwined with our history
that way. I I I
I hear what you're saying. I I do think
that like the Phoenix Force attached to
Gene for a lot of reasons. Uh
originally, I mean, there's been
different stories of Gan Gay's powers
that they came from the Phoenix Force
attaching to her as a young kid due to
some traumatic event. Uh there's also
stories where it's like Gan Gray needed
to be an omega level mutant that she was
born as and have this potential that the
Phoenix Force is like that one. Um or it
could be what you said. It's like her
good nature that the Phoenix Force was
like, "Ooh, that one I going to corrupt
that one." But I don't know if like that
means that she can't be Gan Gray. And I
think saying that she's Meline Prior, I
think might be a step too far for her. I
really do like the idea of like
exploring the whole idea of Meline Prior
in the MCU. I just think like right now
Marvel Studios is getting back to just
playing the hits, keeping things fairly
simple. And I think making her Meline
Prior is just kind of a step too far for
a lot of the uh the fans who are not as
plugged into things. Like it's already
going to be a lot for a lot of people to
accept that she's one of the X-Men, but
I think Marvel can it feels confident
that they can make that make sense. I
don't know if they have the same
confidence that they can make Meline
Prior make sense because it's kind of
like going it's like going from A to D
as opposed to A to B.
But I mean I I for those of you who are
like it doesn't make sense for it to be
Gan Gray, I I get what you're saying. I
think it's a tall order to see how that
makes sense in a Spider-Man movie and in
your head an MCU Spider-Man movie is not
an X-Men story and you don't want to
complicate. You don't want to spoil the
broth. I I get that. But I think there
is a simple story that they're secretly
telling in this movie of like gamma
radiation and how it mutates different
people in this universe and how it more
um it kind of biologically adapts them
for being entangled with other
universes. What I just said may be
overly complicated. Uh but I do think
it's like the story they're telling and
I think it'll make sense when we see it.
Oh, thank you. you indie comics big and
our fan since 2015. Hesitant on Gene
Gray being in the film. Mostly not a fan
of Russian and burning through the
Phoenix story line. Russian Phoenix and
Dark Phoenix is what Fox did. I guess
what I'm saying is um I you're right.
You're right. They tried to do that in
one movie and they tried to do that
twice both in uh The Last Stand and in
Dark Phoenix. Um what I'm saying is
uh they they did rush it in that it
should be a Dark Phoenix saga. It should
be told over like several years of this
character's life. But the problem is is
that storyline is really hard to make a
good movie in the modern era. It was
hard in 2006. It was hard in 2019. It's
going to be even harder in 2026. I don't
know if that's a story Gen Z and Gen
Alpha audiences want to be living with
for several years of the Mutant Saga
because like when Chris Claremont told
it in the early 80s and when it was
explored on X-Men in the9s run in the
animation it I don't want to call it
problematic because it's not on me to
say it's problematic but it's just hard
to make a captivating story when it's
basically a story of a hysterical woman
who doesn't have control over her own
body and like a bunch of a bunch of
other heroes just trying to like hold
her down and call her crazy the whole
time. That's why I think it's hard for
screenwriters now to tell that story in
a way that works. So, what I mean is by
burning through the Phoenix Saga story,
I mean just burning through, literally
burning through what the Phoenix's power
set is in Battle World. I'm not talking
about this slow kind of transformation,
this kind of mental anguish that she's
going through because I think Gan Gray,
Marvel girl Gan Gray is an interesting
character on her own as part of the
X-Men. And and the problem is a lot of
people just based off those movies in
the '90s run only associate Gan Gray
with Phoenix and this cosmic force that
attaches to her. But I think she is an
interesting character in a lot of other
storylines that have nothing to do with
the Phoenix. And I think that's what,
you know, I think that's what uh um the
X mo the X-Men movie in 2028 and the
Mutant Saga has a potential power to
explore. So maybe that's why they're
introducing her here. I don't they're
going to show the other powers that Gan
Gray has that have nothing to do with
the Phoenix Force. And I think we could
see the Phoenix Force bond to her in
Secret Wars. I think we could see her
blaze up and kind of replace what Johnny
Storm is since he's going to be the son,
literal son of Battle World if they're
doing it right. Um, and that's why I
think I just don't want to see that
again. And I don't want to see a much
longer version of it again is what I'm
saying. I I don't want to spend several
years of the Dark Phoenix saga just
because like I think slowing it down
could make it even more drawn out and
and worse. And I think Satie Sync can do
so much more than that.
Uh, thank you for your super chat. Yo,
what do we think about Ned as hobgoblin
and Tom's Peter immunity to Jean's
powers that we've seen his unique
control of his spirit and astral body?
Yeah. Um, over under 20, do Ned's wizard
abilities get referenced at all in this
movie? I'm going to say no. I don't
think we see wizard Ned in this movie.
That's just me. I'll be shocked if we
do. Um, and I don't think they cast
Jacob Battalon to go in that arc of the
hobgoblin
character. I I think we gota have like a
Green Goblin in this spider universe
first from the 616 universe. And I think
again ne I think Jacob Balon's skill set
is just not in the direction of
hobgoblin personally. Um,
yeah. Another theory here, Peter's
darkness comes from the symbiote left
behind. Um, I I just don't think uh
we're going to see that throughout this
movie. I don't think it's going to be a
symbiote story. I think when they're
talking about street level, I don't
think they're talking about an alien
goo. That's just my read of it, but I'm
not saying that they're never going to
address it again.
Uh, we're going to get a flashback of
May giving a speech from the trailer to
Peter Wright when she discovered he's
Spider-Man. Oo, I love that theory. Uh,
that's really cool that like in the
scene from Spider-Man Homecoming, right,
when she yelled, [ __ ] uh and it cut off.
Like maybe we have a scene there where
like she took him out for more LAR at
that restaurant and uh they had this
wonderful scene. But I do think based
off what she says, the people who love
you love you because you're you. I think
that would have to be a little bit later
in Peter's life. But remember, he did
blip. So I don't know how many times in
their history they could have had a
conversation like that.
Um, another question. When we eventually
get X-Men, do you think Mr. Sinister
will be working with the uh Department
of Defense to capture mutants or do you
mean DODC? Fingers crossed for Tom Ellis
as Sinister. Yeah, we've seen some uh
theories that um Vagner Mora is being um
considered for Sebastian Shaw, meaning
that we could see a Hellfire Club as
like a first wave of villains in the
mutant saga. Mr. Sinister is obviously
someone that like Fox Studios wanted to
explore as the next big bad of the Fox
X-Men that we saw teased at the end of
X-Men Apocalypse. Um, there was going to
be a Mr. Sinister storyline in New
Mutants. Um, but yeah, again, we're kind
of getting into like a a genetic
subplot, and maybe that's what this
movie is setting up with Gan Gray. I
look I don't have a problem with it just
being Sentinels and um and Bolivar Tras
and Henry Peter Guyrick and and Striker
like a Reverend Striker and whatever the
US president is. That's my preference
for what we see in the mutant saga is
just like a US government and not having
these big bads yet. Um I think there's
nothing wrong with just going back and
playing the hits of Magneto, you know,
like again it's not about doing what's
never been done before. I think Marvel
Studios is under greater pressure to
just make movies that work that people
just want and not try to throw people
curveballs as much anymore. So, I think
we're accustomed to an MCU since 2008
where they kept trying to zag where the
common comics have zigged. Uh, but I
think with something like Doomsday and
just adapting Jonathan Hickman's 2015
Time Runs Out and Secret Wars, I think
they're just delivering the goods and
then doing little things to surprise us.
But I think a lot of these other like,
well, we've never seen like other than
Kevin Bacon, we've never seen a real
Sebastian Shaw Hellfire Club. We've
never seen uh a Mr. Sinister in live
action. I I think hearing Jake Shrier
talk about this, I think they're just
getting back to playing the hits from
the Claremont era. Um, you know, so I I
think there what we all kind of know
already about the X-Men is like the
brand safe approach and they're going to
find other ways to humanize it to young
audiences of the next decade. Uh, but I
don't think they're going to like pull
out some obscure Proteius villain in the
first X-Men villain. Not to say Proteius
is obscure, but you know what I mean? To
like most um Marvel movie goers, they're
like, hm, who's Proteius? Like I don't
think we're going to see Proteius as the
first villain. Uh even though that uh if
you're on like uh if you're on YouTube
like I am, you're probably thinking
like, "Okay, what's one they've never
done before? What's the one I've always
wanted to see?" Because I've already
seen Ian Mckllen do Magneto. I think
it's more likely that they just recast
Magneto and do a Magneto story. And I
know there's like the Magneto problem of
he'd be too old if he's going to be a
Holocaust survivor, but they're more
likely to do something like that. Um
Trevor Pace, thank you for your
donation. Uh same for you, Bucks.
Appreciate you guys. Uh, do you think
Zach Cherry will make an appearance?
Yeah, I mean Destin Daniel [ __ ] did
get Zach Cherry in there on the bus as
uh I like to think he's the same
character as a do a flip guy. I think
Zach Cher's price might be a little too
high after Severance, but I would love
to see him cameo.
Will Hulk kill Spider-Man and then get
Sio? No, Spider-Man don't think is going
to get killed off in this movie. Um, do
you think we'll see the line that Hulk
says uh where he remembers Peter? Yeah.
Um, I think it's again Hulk never really
knew Peter um that specific way.
Um, there's a lot of license plates and
I've been looking at the license plates
and I don't think they refer to specific
comic issues, but you know, I'll keep
looking. I think that was a John Watts
thing, not a uh Destinary [ __ ] thing.
YouTube caption saying Tilman is Mezer.
I think that's Bill. I'll double look at
the you I'll double check the YouTube
captions, but yeah, in the first
trailer, he was identified as Bill,
which I think could be a William Mezer
thing.
Uh, another theory here. Thank you. Uh,
saying Jean might call herself Meline
while being evil. Oo, okay. I hear what
you're saying that like she might go by
the name Meline. Again, I just think the
name Meline Prior
makes it too much about the clone of Gan
Gray by by Mr. sinister, who who Scott
Summers was actually married to. It's
just uh it's like an A to D jump when I
think to introduce her character, we
need to have an A to B jump. Um the
theory I've always wanted to see is that
the the Fky Jansen Gan Gray that Logan
sees at the end of Days of Future Past
could be a Meline Prior and maybe that
was a story line that they were
considering developing that we were
going to get to a a Goblin Queen story
line there. Uh but I don't think we're
going to already see it in this movie.
Um, another theory, Peter, fight in the
hand in a prison. Yeah. Yeah, we we
talked about this earlier in the stream.
I just think a Daredevil Born Again
season 3 begins with Matt still in that
prison. That's the only issue I have
with this theory. Another question here
about that. Maybe they break out Matt
for help and then he goes back to finish
his sentence.
That is something Matt would do. He'd be
like, "You know what? I was convicted.
Um, I just let me back into the prison.
I think that would be kind of lame of
Matt to do. I mean, at that point, just
stay a vigilante. Um, yeah, maybe maybe
that's it. I just think like the
storyline for Matt Murdoch is now being
firmly controlled by Daario Scardani and
the Daredevil Born Again team and I
don't think Destin Daniel [ __ ] has
that much control over the character.
So, that'd be my only concern. And I
think I think the way they got around it
is by giving access to Frank Castle, the
Punisher, for this story.
In No Way Home, Peter finds out that
Nick Fury wasn't really himself during
Far From Home. Do you think they dive
into scrolls in this movie? Does Peter
find that out?
I'm trying to remember if Peter if he
talks about Nick Fury being a scroll. I
don't think Peter ever learned that in
No Way or No Way Home, right? Peter
doesn't know anything about scirrels. Um
I I mean I could be wrong the way it
ends. Um but no uh I don't think I don't
think Marvel Studios is ever going to
bring up scrolls ever again other than
Easter eggs walking around in the
background of Battle World or something
like that or the TVA.
Um, yeah, as I talked about earlier in
the stream, I don't know how much of
Manspider,
uh, like I would say the first trailer
had me more convinced of a symbiote and
man spider than this trailer does.
Um, another question since we saw
Spider-Man is Marvel rivals ultimate.
Um imagine
Gan Gray Phoenix using hers. You are
nothing, huh? And the comic features Mr.
Negative. Do you think he's manipulating
Gene? You know, I think Mr. Negative is
like my first big what I got wrong of
2026. Like I was really thinking hard
that Mr. Negative was going to be like
the big bad of this movie. And like the
more that's coming out for this movie,
the more certain it looks like he's not
at all going to be in this movie. So I
don't think Mr. Negative is going to be
part of Spider-Man Brand New Day. Even
though it is a Brand New Day story and
he is a Brand New Day Comics villain, I
just don't think we're going to see him
in this.
Uh do you think Daredevil will fight the
hand with Peter in this movie? Yeah, a
question that I've addressed with a
bunch of other questions here. I don't
think um I I mean I get why we think
that he was scrubbed out of that shot. I
just think he is going to start
Daredevil Born Again season 3 in prison
still.
Um I believe Pety is uh already wearing
the symbiote suit in some of these
scenes. Oh, okay. Let's see what you're
talking about. Oh, you think it was like
scrubbed out or something like that?
Like in shots like this, it's actually
uh him in the black suit.
I mean, here's the deal. I think when
people want a symbiote, really what they
want is Peter in a black suit.
And so, I get wanting that, but I think
we have to get to to Battle World first
is the only thing. Um, but who knows?
You know, we've seen plenty of examples
of Marvel trailers where the suit
characters are wearing is is actually a
placeholder design. Um,
I just think it's like they're really
trying to make it an internal um
mutating gene uh thing rather than an
alien infection.
So, that's why I think uh that's why I
think it's not going to be a symbiote
plot.
Uh, why did Marvel Studios not post the
Spider-Man trailer? Are you talking
about their YouTube channel? I don't
know. Sometimes they don't always have
the the Disney owned YouTube channel
post things. Or maybe they'll post it
later. I don't know. I haven't seen
that. Okay. Another question about this
Ultimate X-Men where Gene Gray changes
her name to Karen Grant and her uh Hulk
on a team and she mind controls Hulk
willingly to help her do things and he
does it willingly. To be honest, I have
not read this exact storyline so I'll
have to check it out. But everyone
should go read this.
Uh, if you had to choose one X-Men story
line for the MCU to adapt, what would it
be?
I mean, what's really great about the
Claremont era is it's not really known
for a specific
specific story lines. It's just one kind
of evolving soap opera-esque story that
goes in and out of different characters.
So, I just want the Claremont era, you
know, that's uh because that encompasses
everything else. So, I don't need to get
to the like the CCOa arc of the recent
times. I don't need the Grant Morrison
um Janosha massacre arc with Cassandra
Nova and all that. I kind of just want
to get to the heyday of like the late
'7s through the early 90s going from
Claremont to John Burn. Um I think
there's so many I mean there's like 15
years of great X-Men movies and TV shows
just from that era. um that don't have
to be like a specific story line that
begins and ends.
Uh ooh we should get Landra and McCron
Crystal before we get Phoenix. The
Phoenix could be the background for
years building to Gene controlling the
Phoenix as part of a larger galactic
story. You know, I I'm really excited to
see how Marvel unfolds like the cosmic
settings of the mutant saga cuz yeah,
you do have the Shar Empire. You do have
Landra. Uh you have a lot of cool
Corsair stuff, too. But I do think
that's kind of like phase three of the
mutant saga as opposed to phase one. We
need to tell these ground level stories
of how Sentinels are hunting these kids
down before we get to like Landra.
Uh, do we get a Scott Summers hint if
Satie is Jean?
I don't I don't know if if like this
this Gan Gray has met a Scott Summers
yet. I think this is a a Gan Gray who
has not at all been uh recruited to join
the X-Men yet, you know? So, I don't
think she's met a Charles Xavier yet if
she's doing this stuff. She's been kind
of in isolation. And in the prison cell
that we saw her in in the first trailer,
she had like roller skates in there. So
like uh I think she might have been in
captivity for several years. I don't
know if uh if we see a Scott yet.
Uh what do you think of Peter's reaction
to Matt revealing himself as Daredevil?
Yeah, I think that's really funny that
when Matt was in the courtroom in the
Daredevil Born Again season 2 finale and
reveals himself as Daredevil. Yeah,
Peter totally must have like heard about
that and been like, "Yeah, my lawyer did
catch a brick. That was crazy." Um,
yeah, I think that's that. I hope that
like we actually get to see that
reference at some point.
Uh, another question. If Sink isn't a
big player like Gene, then I'm confused
with the secrecy and not showing her in
either trailer, especially if she's also
in Secret Wars. Well, I h
I think they do want that to be a
surprise in the movie. I don't think
they want to have like despite
everything we're doing in our YouTube
coverage, they really don't want the
whole X-Men angle to overwhelm their
marketing. And if they announce that she
is Gan Gray, then I think every question
all these actors are going to be getting
is specifically about the future of the
X-Men. So, by not announcing it,
whenever they go into these junkets like
they do with Fandango, hopefully new
Rockstars, um those interviewers are
going to have to ask several other
questions before they throw in a
curveball about the X-Men. But who
knows? I think at Comic- Con it was
announced that Spider-Man brand new day
is going to have a panel at Hall H just
a week before the movie comes out. Maybe
they do announce it there's Gan Gray in
the final week and this would be after
all the junkets happened. And I think
they're they might do that because
presumably before Comic- Con is when
like the press screenings are going to
happen and it might start to leak. Um,
and they might just like take control of
that narrative in the, you know, 6 days
before the movie comes out. Um, but I
think that's why they're keeping it a
secret.
Another question here from Green Worer.
Slightly off topic, but anchor beings
made no sense. How can a universe exist
for billions of years if a person with
an average of 75 year lifespan could die
at any moment?
Let me think about that for a second.
Um,
well, I think they're saying that
an anchor being
could exist at any point in the history
of that universe. Also, uh, how can a
universe exist for billions of years if
a person with an average of 75 lifespan
could die at any moment?
I think I think it's just hard to
imagine that there are infinite number
of universes. And uh, and and I think
they also say that like when an anchor
being dies, it signals the beginning of
the end of that universe. It's not like
as soon as that person breathes their
last breath, the universe goes poof. It
means that like
as soon as an anchor being is identified
by the TVA, even if it's in the future
from the present moment, it means that
this future is going to die. Um, but I
think what you're saying is like, oh, an
anchor being if they're born in the year
1940ome,
um, like how does it like why does it
affect the people of the ancient times?
I don't know. I I didn't really have
this question or this confusion to be
honest with you. So, I'm having trouble
empathizing with your confusion. Um, but
I don't think it made no sense, but I do
think it's possible that the Russo
brothers were also confused the way you
were and are just like, "We're not going
to address the idea of anchor beans and
doomsday." Uh, but I think just the idea
is that there is one lynchpin person who
if they uh whenever they come up in
history and whenever they die, that
universe is going to collapse in an
incursion. And so like this there could
be plenty of other universes who don't
have their anchor being born until the
year 4000 and something you know u but
every universe has one. Uh some
universes had them in the year you know
1092
and that person died from a plague and
then that universe just died and expired
a few years later. You know I think it's
just kind of hard to imagine it but I
think that's what Deadpool and Wolverine
was saying.
Uh, this question asking about the
Fendango interview. What do you think
Tom's biggest contribution to the script
was that he was referring to? Uh, yeah.
So, Tom Holland indicated that he
scrubbed through a lot of social media
after No Way Home came out just to see
what people wanted and then he was kind
of the voice of the fans in the writer
room for this movie. I think what he's
referring to um was like first off, you
know, making it a street level story. Um
making it something that was divorced
from Stark Tech, less of an Avengers
story. Um even though he's teaming up
with the Hulk in this movie, something
that's more about like Peter being
Spider-Man, uh a friendly neighborhood
Spider-Man who has a DIY suit that he
has to build himself that kind of looks
like Andrew Garfield's suit. Um, you
know, the he it was I know it was Tom
Holland's idea to do the spider puberty
thing, but they don't call it that in
the movie. But this whole idea of like
something is happening to his body
that's affecting him. I know that was
Tom Holland's contribution. And then the
thing that he said at the beginning of
the interview is that he had to keep it
a secret what the his favorite little
nugget was. I think it's like X-Men. I
think they wanted to see Peter Parker
with X-Men. And and that's what he was
referring to with that.
Could X-Men 97 season 2 reveal anything
for Brand New Day or Doomsday?
Uh, I doubt it. I think X-Men 97 was
developed by just like a different team
of people who were not plugged into what
the Russo brothers were doing for
Doomsday. Uh, or even Brand New Day.
Um, just because there's a big division
between animation and live action and
each live action production like isn't
always going to have the same kind of
overlap. Um, in this interrogation
scene, Peter says Fury could back up a
story uh in the DOJ. Oh, that's what
you're saying. Fury has been off planet.
It's small, but Peter has had time. But
I don't know if that I know I know what
scene you're talking about. Um, but that
doesn't mean that Peter knows that Fury
was a scroll. It's just that Fury has
been off-world. Uh, in in uh the
Marvels, Fury was on a space station and
was not a scroll in that. I just think
uh Nick Fury is often dealing with other
alien races and means he's off world,
but I don't think that Peter knew that
he was a scirrel per se. So to answer
your question, I don't think it means
that like scrolls are going to get
addressed in this movie. I mean, Nick
Fury at that point was just kind of
viewed as like a man in the shadows. You
never really know where he is.
Night King controlling Jean. Are you
talking about the thing? Yeah. Thanks
for your donation.
Um, thank you for your super chat.
Number one human villain you'd want and
number one mutant villain, non-magneto
you want for the mutant saga. Number one
human villain that I would want is
a good question.
Um, I think a reverend striker. I want
to see like a Billy Graham style
reverend striker in the MCU. And number
one, mutant villain, non-magneto.
Um,
does danger count? Like I I am really
excited to see danger in X-Men 97 season
2. Kind of the robotic embodiment of the
danger room. I guess it's more of a
technological villain than a mutant
villain. Uh,
Proteius. I really do like Proteius, but
again, I don't want to get there right
away.
Uh, I guess if we if you're forcing me
to pick I don't need to see Apocalypse
right now, especially since we're going
to see him in X-Men 97 season 2. I guess
maybe a Mr. Sinister. I just think Mr.
Sinister is kind of a joke. And I I I
just don't know if like the the first
wave of of these X-Men stories need to
deal with Mr. Sinister in that way. But
maybe in phase two.
Another question. Gene is mutating also
doesn't have control.
I don't know what you're asking, but
yeah, maybe she doesn't have control
over her powers exactly, and that's why
she's being kind of chaotic.
With Tom's Peter going through this
mutation, I think it would be fun to
find out the same thing is happening to
Andrew's Peter, maybe in Secret Wars.
Oh, u I don't know if I need all Peter
Parkers to have the same organic webbing
process.
Um,
but
yeah, uh, I do want to see Andrew
Garfield's Peter Parker return in Secret
Wars. Um, I I want to see this, um, the
this trio reunited.
I guess the question I have for all of
you, um, if Peter's getting organic
webbing in this movie, are we saying
that this is going to be, um, something
that he has from now on?
uh that this is just like a permanent
adaptation his Peter is going to have.
If so, I think after this movie, I'm
really going to be ready for this Peter
to just kind of pass the baton off to
Miles and Gwyn. Um I don't have a
problem with organic webbing. I just
felt that was so specific for the Sam
Ramy, Tobey Magcguire era that I don't
want this to be a permanent thing that
Peter has. I like seeing the tinkering
web shooter thing. And while I think
this movie can maintain that balance,
it's going to be hard to maintain that
balance for like a fifth movie if he
still has it at the end of this movie.
So yeah, maybe it does go to like a
symbiote affected Peter in Secret Wars.
They tell that story in Secret Wars and
then after that his body just gets
restored in a specific way to make him
like a good mentor figure to Miles and
Gwyn.
Another observation, seeing Spider-Man
saving MJ and not Ned could trigger
something evil in Ned. Oh, you're trying
to make Ned hobgoblin? I don't think so.
I don't think it's going to happen in
this movie. I don't think Ned will be
that resentful. Hey, just want to say I
love your work. Thank you. I'm about to
be a father August 1st. Congratulations.
Any tips you could give me? And also
excited for Spider-Man. It's going to be
a lot of work. It's going to be
challenging, but it's going to be the
most rewarding thing that ever happens
to you. Um, I can't imagine not being a
dad. It's It's just so great. It's it's
like honestly getting married and then
having a kid. Uh it's it's impossible to
overrate those things. Uh it it's what I
was always always destined to be. Um and
but you got to be ready. You're um
you're going to be shocked how much your
body chemistry changes by sleep
deprivation in that first month. Just
brace yourself for it. Um get as much
sleep as you can. Now, I know that's a
cliche thing. Also know that you're not
in this alone and you don't need to have
all the that's the advice I give you.
You don't need to know everything right
now. You don't need to know everything
in the first month, the first 3 months,
the first 6 months. You will learn as
you go. So, you're going to be shocked
at like how many things that you're
like, "Oh, I didn't know that I had to
know this." You're going to feel
imposter syndrome that you didn't do the
homework. But don't worry, every parent
feels that way. You're going to have
your pediatrician tell you things like,
"You know, you can do this, right?" And
you're going to be like, "I'm such a
dummy." Um, but you have to forgive
yourself. You have to forgive your
partner and uh and you'll figure it out
as you go. You are kind of building the
train while it has left the station. And
that's kind of the delight and challenge
of parenting. But like it's impossible
to tell a parent everything they need to
know in that final couple months before
the baby comes or even in the first
month. Um, but that's what every parent
goes through.
But congratulations.
Was Florence Pew rumored to be in the
movie? She was. I think that rumor was
false. Do you think Spidey will off the
Scorpion or not? I don't think
Spider-Man's going to kill Matt Gargan
in this movie. I don't think he's gonna
kill anyone in this movie. Uh, Army N K9
MP. Thanks for the donation.
Another question here. Street level
since No Way Home. The monster Sadie
Sades character is referring to could be
Peter's unwell mental health with being
isolated alone. She does help him by
making him reach out to his past and
others. Yeah, I think that's I think
you're right. I think that's the monster
that's being referred to in this trailer
is like this new form that he's taking
and how it's uh born out of his
isolation and his emotional separation
from his friends. Um yeah, I think he
worries it's a monster. I don't think
it's literally like a symbiote monster
or a man spider monster. Uh they're
saying they're show Oh, this person's
saying it's showing a lot in this
trailer. Last one for me. I've been
burned before. Look at you. Good Morning
America for Spider-Man 2 Toby full major
scene shown. I don't remember that. I I
mean I wasn't watching GMA in 2004. Um
but I I still have a lot of questions
from this trailer. I mean there's a lot
of context that I'm still missing. Um
we need a montage at the beginning of
Doomsday showing Doom versus Thanos and
then Doom wiping out the Council of
Kangs. Oh, I do think we're going to see
Doom kill Thanos in Doomsday. I don't
think we're going to see the Council of
Kangs killed. You'll have to go to some
AI videos to see that. Um, but I agree.
I think we needed a montage or some kind
of reference to everything bad Doom has
done.
Oo, I want to see Olivia Cook play Moira
in all of her lives to introduce the
X-Men. Do you mean Moira McTagert? I
guess I think Olivia Cook would be a
really good Moira in the mutant saga.
She's so good in House of the Dragon.
Uh, it's Manpider. They need to save
symbiote so Peter can stand up against
the other heroes without stark tech on
battle world. Wouldn't stress mutation
if it was suit giving him more strength.
Yeah, I don't know if it's man spider or
the symbiote. I I think it's going to be
something unique to this movie.
Do you think Agent Clearary will be in
the film since the DODDC is? Um it's
possible. I just think that Tal Tilman's
kind of representing the DODC in this
movie.
Uh, Sentry beats Thor in Doomsday return
as Rune King.
Um, O. Yeah, I have a lot of questions
about how Sentry is going to be used by
Dr. Doom in Doomsday.
Um, yeah, I guess I could see that.
Brixie and Minifigs behind Oh, like
they're the they're the big bad behind
this movie.
Ah, god. Check out all those videos.
That has been a fascinating drama to to
deep dive into.
Thank you as will uh for your uh name.
The names on the helicopter are John
Riker and his wife Hulk villain from the
comics. I just didn't see Riker. Uh I'll
look at it again, dude. I I just don't
think I saw Riker. I think that's your
theory. Um I did see Rker, though,
right? I'll look at it again. I don't
know. Um any thoughts on Bruce sounding
a little sinister when he says, "You're
not one of my students, so are you?" Oh,
I think it's kind of a cutesy thing. I
don't think it was sinister
uh or evil or anything. Oops.
I think it's kind of a knowing glance. I
wouldn't call that evil.
Um direct eye contact can feel evil
though sometimes. All of this marketing
about his body mutating and people still
think it's a symbiote. The suit wouldn't
give him organic webbing. Yeah, agreed.
Agreed. I think it's there's some other
process.
Voice before Hulk at the end sounds
altered.
Um, I'll check it out later.
>> I miss you, mate.
>> I mean, in trailer editing, often often
they kind of the the audio will sounds
just a little weird.
I apologize if I'm taking your words out
of context, but are you saying you don't
want another trilogy with Tom? No, I'm
I'm completely fine with another Tom
Holland, Peter Parker trilogy, like um
Brand New Day, something else in a sixth
movie. totally fine with that. But I do
think in the next movie we need to team
him up with a Miles and Gwen or
something like that. What I what I don't
want is like another trilogy where he
has a organic webbing in all three of
them. I think that'd just be a little
weird. I I I don't know. Maybe they have
some other bigger story that they're
telling. Um or if they are going to have
his organic webbing, you have to have
like another Peter who has web shooters
in some way.
Um,
will we get Doom taking out Thanos just
to be established? Yeah, I do think
we'll see something like that. Yeah, in
all the Russo brothers marketing,
they're like, he's even more powerful
than Thanos. Yeah. So, I I think that's
going to be part of it. Um,
we want to see Mad Evolved Peter running
for Shocker.
Okay. Are we going to bring back Shocker
in this movie? I think we already have a
lot of villains, but if you're going to
say in the next movie or the movie after
that, um, do we think Hulk will join him
or separate off like in Age of Ultron?
Um, I do think we're going to see like
Peter Parker and Hulk kind of team up in
this movie. I think we're not even
seeing really anything from the final
act of this movie. I would guess in
these trailers, I think there's other
stuff going on. So, yeah, I do think
that they are going to team up at some
point. Um, I don't think he's going to
go off worlds or anything like that at
the end of this movie.
Question. Do you think the DODC will be
the main villain giving Scorpion a suit
and making Gene control people's minds?
Tilman could play a Spidey villain
representing the DODC. Yeah, I think the
DODC could be villainous in this movie.
We see a shot there was like an Empire
magazine photo where where Tal Tilman is
shaking Peter's hand and it's in the
rain. Now, maybe Peter makes like some
kind of deal to work with the DODC in
the middle part of this movie and he
finds out that they're actually really
really bad and he turns on them or they
turn on him uh after that handshake has
happened. But I think they could be the
villainous presence of this movie.
A Red Hulk call back. I don't think
we're going to see Red Hulk in this
movie. Um the suit look a little janky.
I don't know what shot you're referring
to, but maybe you're someone saying
like, "Oh, they they VFXed this over a
black suit." Um, I don't know. I think
editing and VFX and trailer shots often
looks a little janky. You know, you
don't always know the context.
Do we expect any Agents of Shield
appearances? Unfortunately, not in this
movie.
Uh, yeah, Church, thanks for the super
chat. A lot of us have been talking
about Meline Prior throughout the
stream. Um, like Satie Sync could be
playing a villain in Brand New Day and
Gan Gray later with the Jackal
connection. I just think like starting
with Meline Prior is just an A to D
jump. It's too far of a jump for average
movie goers to wrap their heads around.
Um, like especially and and if you're
someone like Sadie Sink and her agents
and her managers, like if you're signing
up to play a role in these movies, I
don't think you're signing up to play
like uh the clone of the bigname
character to start with. You know,
you're you're signing up to play the
character. Sadi sinks star power after
Stranger Things is very much on the
rise. Um, I I just would be very
surprised if if it's Meline Prior, even
though that makes more sense to people.
You know what I think? the fact that I'm
getting so many Meline Prior questions,
there's got to be some other Tik Tocker
who just was like, "It's Meline Prior
instead. I gotta after I do this stream,
I'm gonna find whatever Tik Tocker put
that in everyone's heads." Uh because it
that always happens when I do these
streams. It's not the obvious thing.
It's this other curveball thing and it's
because some big Tik Tocker said it's
got to be that and then it's going to be
the thing. It's just it's going to be
it's going to be Gan Gray. Uh NYC
Skyline fight with Red Hulk. Also,
Widow's Bay finale was amazing. Great
bit of dialogue in the trolley problem.
interesting take New Roxers fans since
2020. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you. I agree. I'm not going to
spoil the Widows Bay finale. Amazing
show and I love this finale and I agree.
The specifically the way they framed the
trolley problem argument blew my mind
even more than that episode of The Good
Place when they addressed it.
I agree. We do need a Phil Coulson
return. This movie is not the time for
it. Um I think at least two movies pass
to pass the torch. They just do one
people will feel like they didn't get
enough time with both in the same movie.
I think all you need is one movie with
everyone together to properly pass that
torch. That's just me though.
Aha. Were you the one who were the
origin of the Meline Prior argument?
Um Doomsday question, Toby versus Hugh
and Deadpool and Doc O as the plus ones
for the cold open or something like
that. Thanks, brother. Uh
neither were confirmed and I think the
Rooster brothers have a different
opening scene in mind. And I think it's
going to start in the Doomstat Armory. I
think that's the opening scene of the
movie based off of the scoring session
with Chainino and the editor and
Sylvestri. Um, there were some AI photos
going around of like Hugh Jackman and
Tobey Maguire and Ryan Reynolds. Those
are AI. I don't think all three of those
guys are going to be in the movie. Of
those three, the likeliest to be in
there
probably in this order,
Deadpool Logan
Toby, Peter. Uh, just because I'm I'm
putting Deadpool over Wolverine because
like we need to explain how Gambit got
out of the void to get to the X-Mansion
in this universe. And I think it was
Deadpool who would have had the sling
ring to rescue him. But again, I it
could be none of the three are in the
movie.
I agree. Gene forcing Bruce to Hulk out
feels pretty villainous. Again, that is
the context of the trailer, I'll admit.
Um, it's really Bruce's damaged uh
device that caused him to Hulk out. And
I don't know if like Gan destroyed that
or like something else destroyed that.
Uh, but like but he could. I think at
some point she will inhabit his brain. I
mean, who knows? Maybe she's just trying
to get him to the Greyhulk form to go
destroy whatever technology the DODC
has. It's not about trying to like do
massive property damage. Specifically,
if you're trying to go to the Green Hulk
and then bypass that to Greyhulk, you're
trying to have a Hulk that you can just
like focus more than just being someone
to cause massive property damage.
Another question here. Quicksilver is
already dead in the MCU, but he was a
part of the Brotherhood and X-Men. So,
who will take his place as the speedster
mutant? Well, I know Vision Quest is
gonna establish Tommy Maximoff
as uh as the speed of this universe. So,
we have a speedster there. We have Mari
from the Eternals as a speedster, but I
also don't think there has to be a
speedster in the Brotherhood of Evil
Mutants. Also, once we get to everybody
in Secret Wars, it's not that hard to
establish that there's a universe where
all these alignments of X-Men and and
villainous mutants existed where there
could be another Quicks. I mean, uh
there's still the X-Men universe that
we're going to be visiting in this movie
that could have a Wanda or a Quicksilver
in that universe.
Um, we'll see. All it's implied that
like Wanda looks like Elizabeth Olsen in
every universe in the multiverse. So, if
there is a Wanda in the 10005 universe,
it's going to look like Elizabeth Olsen.
I I just, you know, Lizzie has been
asked, and I just don't think she's
going to be in Doomsday as much as we
all want and need her to be.
Um, okay. So, we've been going for about
90 minutes here. Uh, so I might have to
call it here so I can get back to work
on the Easter egg breakdown that's going
to be coming out in a couple hours. Um,
thank you all for joining me on this
stream. Uh, I feel like I've answered as
many questions as I possibly can. And
we're going to be going back again and
again and again through this trailer to
break down everything that you missed.
Uh, I really really enjoyed doing this
with you guys. Whenever there's like big
breaking trailers that come out, uh, I
want to be able to break this down with
you guys if it's happening while I'm at
work. Um, an announcement that I want to
make. Uh, New Rockstars is going to be
revisiting the three Tom Holland
Spider-Man movies. Spider-Man Homecoming
from 2017, Spider-Man Far From Home in
2019, and Spider-Man No Way Home from
2021. We're going to do re-breakdowns of
those because we realized the breakdowns
that we did in the past on New Rockstars
were incomplete. There was a lot of
details that I did not cover. Even the
second time I broke it down, there's
just a lot of details that I missed. Uh,
from things that like Tom Holland and
the and and John Watts and Kevin Feige
have said about those movies since then,
things that the Russo brothers have said
about uh the other Tom Holland Avengers
movies that I think it'd be great to
rewatch those movies to track the
characters journey ahead of Spider-Man
brand new day. So, those breakdowns are
going to be huge videos that come to the
New Rockstars channel in the month of
July. We're going to do them weekly in
July. So, subscribe if you haven't
already subscribed.
Um,
and uh, other things. Oh, the shirt I'm
wearing is the who's who shirt that you
can get get specifically at a merch
store, nerd riot.shop, thank you for
your super chat. Uh, we all know uh, the
talks of Gene, but what if she's not
her? She's vessel of someone hopping
around a mental entity like Malice or
Shadow King. Oh, Shadow King is probably
the mutant villain I want to see in the
mutant saga first, the first mutant
villain. Um, I like that idea, but
again, I just think she is going to be
the character we all think she is. Um,
they're taking the more straightforward,
simpler route.
Um, again, thank you all for joining me.
A huge thanks to Brian for setting up
