[00:13] apologize for in private. For every Mushoku Tensei, there are 40 shows about a guy whose only personality trait is owning a status screen. But, every year a handful of these things crawl out of [00:25] watching. So, today I've dug through the announcements, filtered out the obvious landfill, and pulled together 10 upcoming Isakai that might might upcoming Isakai that might might actually be good. So, let's get into it. [00:58] since Gate gave us the single funniest premise in Isakai history. A fantasy army invades Tokyo and gets absolutely flattened by the Japanese Self-Defense franchise was dead and buried. Then, out of nowhere, a sequel gets announced [01:12] time, the story heads out to sea with the Maritime Self-Defense Force. Dragon versus Destroyers. Pirates versus naval artillery. I'm not going to pretend the original didn't have some questionable political flag-waving because it did, [01:26] and I expect the sequel to inherit that baggage, too. But, Studio M2, the people behind Pluto, are handling production with a fresh cast led by a chief petty officer instead of Itami. It's slated for 2027. Cautious optimism fully [01:39] for 2027. Cautious optimism fully loaded. universe hands you the body of a creature with a 7-day lifespan. [02:10] interesting hook I've seen in a reincarnation anime in years, actually. His unique skill stretches those 7 days into 80 years, which means he's goblins who barely live a week. There's [02:23] that. Leading a society where everyone you know dies before the month ends. The manga has been running in Tonari no Young Jump since 2020. The director cut his teeth on The Summer Hikaru Died, and it lands this October. [music] If the [02:36] anime keeps the melancholy under the power fantasy, this could be special. okay? As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I Use My [02:48] the most generic title ever COMMITTED TO the most generic title ever COMMITTED TO PRINT. [03:13] somewhere across two seasons, Ars Louvent's talent scouting kingdom no [music] edge lord protagonist, no harem nonsense, just a kid with the potential, quietly assembling the best team in the realm. It's basically [03:28] that as the highest compliment, okay? story pushes into the Mischean Succession War, which the director has called Ars's greatest crisis yet. The stakes are finally catching up to the [03:40] recruitment spreadsheet [music] get stress tested by an actual war. [03:56] >> Finally, an isekai protagonist who gets transported somewhere with decent Wi-Fi. [04:21] with one inn and three quests, Hiro wakes up inside his favorite space sim, sitting in the cockpit of a fully kitted out starship. The genre has been decade, so watching one trade dungeon crawls for dogfights and trade lanes [04:34] feels almost rebellious. I was sold on the source material's reputation. It's less about conquering the galaxy and more about a guy building a crew, paying house. Mercenary work is a small business. Studio A-Cat is animating it [04:48] for an October premiere with Makoto Furukawa, Saitama himself, voicing the lead. My expectations are moderate, but my curiosity is enormous. [05:06] can let me know by giving this video a like. If not, here come a few more. [05:27] emotion known to man. Season 1 was genuinely one of the most popular isekai crimes that I'm actually still processing. Then season 3 and 4 staged a possible. Re: Zero Tani is revolution and shield hero gave the show real [05:42] political teeth again. So, when season 5 was announced the same night the season 4 finale aired, complete with an ominous teaser of a figure on a throne, I felt that old anticipation creep back in. The phoenix is looming as the next great [05:54] about to suffer beautifully, and Kinema Citrus has steered this ship since 2019. current trajectory holds, this could close out as one of the genre's great close out as one of the genre's great redemption stories. [06:20] [screaming and cheering] [music] [06:40] Tokyo Tower in 1994. A flash of light swallows them, and suddenly they're saving a dying fantasy world. Rayearth was doing isekai before the word was even a marketing [music] category. Clamp fused magical girls with literal mecha, [06:53] and then twisted the knife with one of the most devastating plot turns of the decade. Now it's being remade for the franchise's 30th anniversary, airing this October, and Yuki Kajiura on music duty. The last detail alone raised my [07:05] heart. The new cast is stacked, too. My one worry is that modern production schedules sand the strangeness of a story this unusual. But if they keep the ending intact, a whole new generation is about to get emotionally wrecked. [07:55] protagonist and goes, "No thanks." Makoto gets rejected for being too plain, held into the wasteland, and ends up building a demiplane empire with a dragon and a spider who are both unhinged in completely different ways. [08:08] remembers it has one of the most quietly overpowered cast in the genre. When the action hits, it genuinely [music] hits. Season 3 was confirmed straight after the season 2 finale back in 2024, though a release date is still nowhere to be [08:21] Season 2 already raised the bar with the demon war and the hero storylines. If the anime carries that momentum forward, this stays comfortably in my top tier of >> KAMPAI! >> KAMPAI! [08:34] >> KAMPAI! >> [screaming] [08:52] aired in 2021, ended right as the actual plot was warming up, and then vanished committee had been assassinated themselves. A career assassin given a second life, weaponizing modern knowledge through tradecraft rather than brute force. Yes, it's written by the Redo of Healer author, and yes, you can [09:17] occasionally feel that energy lurking at the edges. But, when this show focuses slow construction of a perfect kill, [music] it's gripping. Silver Link returns for a 2027 release with the original director. Better late than [09:29] never, barely. >> Dark Six, right? >> Cool. >> Cool. [09:52] This one got me with a dad-shaped weapon. A salaryman dies, wakes up as a sentient sword, and gets picked up by Fran, a young cat girl fleeing slavers, and what follows is one of the warmest mentor stories in the entire genre. [10:04] Teacher levels her up, worries about her diet, and panics every time she rushes a monster 10 levels above her. It's a found family story wearing dungeon this October, and the teaser of Fran surfing through the sky on Teacher like [10:17] a skateboard told me the show hasn't lost its sense of joy. But, there may be one catch for you. It's streaming exclusively on HiDive. Worth the detour, exclusively on HiDive. Worth the detour, Fran deserves the world. [10:39] next chapter of Eminence of Shadow is a theatrical film, and it drags Cid back to Japan. Not the Japan he remembers, either. [11:11] through a gate into his original world, now a ruin overrun by magical beasts with humanity huddled in a final stronghold called Messiah. Awaiting there is Akane, a classmate who knew him in the past life. Think about what that [11:24] is performing the role of a shadowy that the conspiracy is real. Now, the delusion follows him home. The reverse isekai angle could finally force some self-awareness into one of anime's most [11:37] gloriously deluded protagonist. Or, it'll be 2 hours of him atomicking his own hometown. Either way, I'll be in that cinema in 2027. [12:03] dread. Some of these will flop. That's just the law of the genre, isn't it? make this one of the strongest stretches isekai has had in years. Let me know which one you're betting on, okay? And I'll see you in the next one.
