[0:00] so I used to be the most inconsistent [0:02] person ever like I literally could not [0:04] stick to a workout routine to save my [0:05] life and every single New Year that [0:07] would roll around I would always make [0:08] the same goal and it was to start [0:09] working out and I'd stick to it for a [0:11] few days maybe a few weeks and then one [0:13] day I would just Skip and then that one [0:14] day would turn into the rest of the year [0:16] coming from someone that used to be the [0:17] most inconsistent person ever I'm going [0:19] to teach you exactly how to stay [0:21] consistent and get into your gym girl [0:22] routine [0:25] so first things first your fitness [0:27] journey is not a short-lived era it's a [0:29] lifestyle I know this sounds so corny [0:31] but it's true I think the main reason [0:33] why me and probably a lot of other [0:35] people have trouble sticking to working [0:36] out is because we want short term [0:38] sometimes kind of unimportant goals such [0:41] as you know I want to lose 15 pounds I [0:43] want a big butt I want a snatched waist [0:45] Etc and you know what I know we all do [0:47] it okay we always compare ourselves to [0:48] other people I used to scroll through [0:50] Instagram and see girls with the most [0:51] insane bodies and immediately I jumped [0:53] to my mirror and start doing like 100 [0:55] squats I'm guilty okay I've done it [0:57] before oftentimes your mentality and [0:59] your motivation behind these goals is [1:01] because you're expecting your workout [1:02] routine to give you a specific physical [1:03] result but you know what happens when [1:05] you don't see the results right away or [1:06] you don't see the exact results that you [1:08] want you're probably gonna fall off and [1:09] never step foot in the gym again and yes [1:12] seeing the results that you want is very [1:13] nice and it can be part of your [1:15] motivation for wanting to start to work [1:16] out but it's not sustainable or strong [1:18] enough to be your Standalone goal for [1:20] starting to work out which leads me to [1:21] my next point which is find out your why [1:24] why do you want to work out why is it [1:25] important to you to start being [1:27] consistent with your fitness journey I'm [1:28] going to tell you guys the answer okay [1:29] it's for your physical health your [1:31] mental health your quality of life and [1:33] your confidence your ultimate why of [1:34] working out should be bigger than just [1:36] the physical it should be for you your [1:38] health and wanting to feel genuinely [1:39] good about yourself so now it's [1:41] important that you make your fitness [1:42] journey a priority if you start seeing [1:44] working out as a priority and not just [1:46] like an annoying tour you have to do [1:47] you're probably gonna start making less [1:49] excuses to not go alright so dealing [1:51] with gym anxiety listen if anyone knows [1:53] anything about this topic it's your girl [1:55] I have lots and lots of experience in [1:57] this when I first started working out I [1:58] distinctly remember numerous times I [2:00] spent 30 minutes to an hour just waiting [2:02] outside my gym in the car by myself just [2:05] to muster up the courage to walk inside [2:07] the gym that is how anxious I was [2:09] honestly Jim anxiety played a huge part [2:11] of why I was so inconsistent in the gym [2:12] because whenever I felt particularly [2:14] anxious I would just skip the gym [2:15] altogether I'd be like nope not today [2:17] not today rest day yesterday today and [2:20] tomorrow like I'm not doing it like you [2:21] know when you're feeling anxious and not [2:23] good about yourself the last thing you [2:24] want to do is go to the gym with a bunch [2:27] of fit looking people and work out I'm [2:29] sorry to tell you guys this I'm Gonna [2:30] Keep It Real the only way to actually [2:32] overcome gym anxiety is time you have to [2:35] keep showing up at the gym and keep [2:36] showing up for yourself even if you feel [2:38] anxious and battle those feelings and [2:39] over time you're gonna start to feel so [2:41] comfortable in the gym you're gonna feel [2:42] like you own the gym okay but you know [2:44] it starts with you starting to go to the [2:46] gym and continuing going I'm not gonna [2:48] lie even today I still get anxious at [2:49] times like almost four years later I [2:51] still get gym anxiety so it is normal [2:53] but I do have some short-term tips that [2:55] help with gym anxiety avoid gym peak [2:57] hours okay I'm talking about 5 P.M to 8 [3:00] p.m and everybody frolics to the gym [3:02] during these times and it's like a zoo [3:04] in there okay when you struggle with gym [3:05] anxiety it really helps when you're [3:07] avoiding these hours because you're [3:09] avoiding people so you could you know [3:10] work out in peace and be more focused do [3:12] dumbbell or cardio workouts that only [3:14] require you to use one or two machines [3:16] like you can just do a little dumbbell [3:18] leg workout grab your dumbbells and go [3:20] to like the corner of the gym or you [3:21] know how they have those exercise rooms [3:23] at the gym take up your own little [3:24] corner do your little workout out and [3:26] then go home wear clothes that make you [3:27] feel confident when I first started [3:29] working out at the gym I was so insecure [3:31] of my body like I legit just like hated [3:33] looking at myself in the mirror so at [3:35] that time what made me feel most [3:36] comfortable was wearing an oversized [3:38] hoodie and sometimes a hat because it [3:40] covered most of my face and also it [3:42] helped me be more focused during my [3:43] workout so I'm not focused on how I look [3:45] or if people are looking at me I'm just [3:47] focused and zeroing in on my workout [3:48] have your workout written down already [3:50] before you even step foot in the gym [3:52] when you go to the gym prepared you're [3:53] not going to be anxious and nervous [3:55] about what machines you have to use what [3:57] exercise you have to do it kind of just [3:58] relieves that pressure a little bit so [4:00] you can write out your workouts in your [4:01] notes app you can follow a workout video [4:03] on YouTube not to plug myself but I [4:04] actually have one and I'll have it [4:05] linked in the description box and lastly [4:07] I promise you guys it's not that serious [4:09] okay the gym is really not that serious [4:11] I promise you everyone at the gym is so [4:14] focused on their workout and focused on [4:15] Staring at themselves in the mirror that [4:17] they are too busy to be worried about [4:18] you or looking at you and I know [4:20] especially as a girl it can be really [4:21] intimidating going to the gym sometimes [4:23] because it's typically usually I'll do [4:25] use but like you know I spent so much [4:28] time and energy worried about what other [4:29] people thought about me at the gym that [4:31] I wasn't enjoying myself I was not [4:33] enjoying my workout but honestly I was [4:34] kind of delulu thinking that everyone [4:36] was thinking about me when in reality [4:38] nobody was these strangers at the gym [4:40] don't really care about me that much [4:41] also at the end of the day you're at the [4:43] gym to better yourself okay I go to the [4:45] gym to better myself and not to please [4:47] these people if anything I just want to [4:49] get this workout in and go home and [4:51] cuddle with my cat like I don't want to [4:52] be here and just like remind yourself at [4:54] the end of the day the gym is literally [4:56] just a room full of people wandering [4:58] around lifting up iron and putting it [5:00] down and staring at themselves in the [5:02] mirror while doing it like it's really [5:03] not that serious the gym I promise you [5:05] is really not that serious it's not an [5:07] ego contest it's not a model Runway it [5:09] is just the gym so do not worry about [5:11] other people focus on yourself and [5:13] getting through that workout make [5:14] working out a routine and make it fun I [5:16] love you guys so right now we are in my [5:18] bathroom because I'm about to take you [5:20] guys with me for my pre-workout routine [5:22] and my workout routine by the way my [5:25] work playlist will be linked Down Below [5:26] in the description box if you want to [5:28] jam out with me [5:30] [Music] [5:39] I've been obsessed with this song lately [5:44] victory [5:57] [Music] [6:03] [Music] [6:05] about my pre-workout cocktail yes it's [6:08] in a wine glass it's just more fun this [6:09] way this is oxyshred and mango this is [6:11] one of my OG favorite flavors for a [6:13] reason okay it tastes so bomb I also [6:15] stacked it with creatine the ultimate [6:16] combo so if you don't know about [6:17] oxyshred it basically gives you a [6:19] natural boost of energy so you feel more [6:21] focused and energized during your [6:22] workout I highly recommend the mango [6:24] flavor or gummy snake juicy watermelon [6:26] and Peach ring all my favorite flavors [6:27] pre-workout is specially helps on those [6:29] days where you just really don't feel [6:31] motivated and you're just feeling tired [6:32] and sluggish and you need that extra [6:34] push and if you're more sensitive to [6:35] caffeine they also have the non-stem [6:37] version which is the caffeine-free one [6:38] this is the honeydew melon flavor also [6:40] tastes amazing so if you guys are [6:42] interested and you want to support your [6:43] girl you can use code lina10 ehplabs.com [6:46] I'll have a link down below cheers [6:47] actually before we cheers make sure you [6:49] subscribe because last time I checked [6:51] less than 50 of you are subscribed yeah [6:53] okay cheers [6:55] all in your space is where I wanna be [6:58] here in this room what did you do I just [7:01] can't get enough to [7:03] get [7:06] [ __ ] to forget [7:09] [Music] [7:46] let's just finish my workout I'm so [7:49] sweaty I'm Vlogging right now to show [7:51] you that nobody really cares when you're [7:52] at the gym because I literally have a [7:54] big camera in my hand right now and I'm [7:56] talking to myself technically nobody's [7:57] looking at me [7:59] that's for your gym anxiety remember [8:01] ignore everybody at the gym do your own [8:03] workout focus on yourself create a [8:05] weekly realistic schedule for yourself [8:07] so you can write down in your planner or [8:09] your Journal I will work out x amount of [8:11] days a week obviously depending on your [8:12] work schedule if you're in school if [8:14] you're a mother it has to be realistic [8:15] to your schedule because otherwise [8:17] you're gonna skip a lot more days than [8:19] you should and actually if you guys are [8:21] interested in starting to weight lift [8:22] and go to the gym I do have a six week [8:24] workout guide that has all exercises and [8:26] explanations of the exercises perfect [8:28] for beginners I'll have a link to my [8:29] description if you guys want to check it [8:30] out so for me I work out five times a [8:32] week and I schedule those days out [8:34] depending on what workout I'm doing that [8:35] day so for example Monday leg day [8:38] Tuesday upper body day Wednesday cardio [8:40] and core Thursday rest day Friday glutes [8:43] so when you schedule it out that way and [8:44] you know exactly what you're doing on [8:45] each day you're gonna be less likely to [8:47] skip to shift your mentality when you [8:49] find yourself wanting to skip your [8:50] workout so you guys I want you to be [8:52] genuinely honest with yourself the day [8:54] you feel like skipping your workout ask [8:55] yourself do I genuinely want to skip [8:57] this workout because I need it for my [8:59] physical and my mental health or do I [9:01] just not feel like it the whole point of [9:03] a fitness journey is to make you [9:05] physically strong but also mentally [9:06] resilient too and trust me being on a [9:08] fitness journey it tests you mentally a [9:11] lot if I'm being honest if every single [9:13] time I didn't feel like working out I [9:15] didn't work out I would probably work [9:17] out like 5 five times a year say your [9:19] affirmations and remind yourself you are [9:21] strong you are that girl you can do it [9:23] so get up and get your butt in the gym [9:24] people say this a lot but it's true [9:26] there's not a single workout I ever [9:28] regretted even like a crappy workout [9:29] where I feel like it didn't go as well [9:31] as I wanted it to I still never regret [9:33] it and honestly those days I feel even [9:35] better about myself because I'm like at [9:36] least I got to the gym I pushed myself [9:38] to get to the gym like I'm proud of [9:39] myself so on those days I really want [9:41] you to battle with yourself and fight [9:42] that hater in your head telling you that [9:44] you're too tired and you can't do it and [9:46] show up anyway another thing I think is [9:48] helpful is there's this lesson that my [9:49] brother actually taught me on [9:50] procrastination and basically it's the [9:52] feeling of inaction is still so much [9:54] worse of a feeling than the annoyingness [9:57] of getting up to go do what you have to [9:59] do so that annoying feeling that you [10:01] have to go through getting yourself up [10:02] to go to the gym is still not as [10:04] annoying as feeling bad about yourself [10:06] feeling sluggish now this is not to say [10:08] you can't have off days or rest days I [10:10] take plenty of those okay today's [10:11] actually my rest day because I was way [10:13] too sore to go to the gym the whole [10:14] point of a fitness journey is that it's [10:16] a journey okay there's gonna be ups and [10:18] downs there's gonna be days where you do [10:20] not feel like doing it no matter what [10:22] you do or try to tell yourself no matter [10:23] how much pre-workout you take you're [10:25] like I do not want to do this today and [10:27] that's okay the fact that you keep [10:28] trying to show up for yourself is what [10:30] matters so really try to shift your [10:31] perspective on falling off or skipping [10:34] the gym as telling yourself that I took [10:36] a necessary break for myself and my [10:38] well-being so follow genuine fitness [10:40] inspiration so not just the girls with [10:42] the genetically blessed beautiful bodies [10:44] that every single time that they post it [10:46] just makes you feel like crap about [10:47] yourself and I'm speaking to myself on [10:48] this one because I used to follow all [10:51] the girls with the most beautiful [10:52] gorgeous faces and bodies and every [10:54] single time they would post I would just [10:55] feel like crap about myself so after I [10:57] cleaned my following list and unfollowed [10:59] all those people my mental health and my [11:01] motivation got so much better if you [11:03] want to follow your girl on Instagram [11:04] littlest X by the way if you're not [11:06] subscribed to my YouTube channel [11:07] um what are you doing okay what are you [11:09] doing I post some Fitness content and [11:11] lifestyle content also some other girls [11:13] that I personally follow that I love [11:15] like I'm genuine fangirls over they are [11:18] amazing Fitness Inspirations like they [11:20] are genuinely so motivational and such [11:22] Positive Vibes lyanna love her lehrmann [11:24] twins they are amazing I'm obsessed with [11:26] them Annelise Cruz Court I'll have all [11:29] their Pages Linked In the description [11:30] they're genuinely like amazing and they [11:32] deserve all the hype and all the praise [11:33] every single time any of them post I'm [11:36] like up and motivated they make me want [11:37] to go work out even on the days I don't [11:39] feel like it what you consume on social [11:40] media has a huge impact on your [11:42] motivation so being that following list [11:44] up and follow the people that genuinely [11:45] motivate you and make you feel good [11:47] about yourself [11:50] there was a time I would go on Instagram [11:51] and see all these girls who are super [11:53] fit and just seem super disciplined and [11:55] motivated and I would just be so jealous [11:57] of them because I thought I could never [11:58] be them but truly once I started getting [12:00] over the self-doubt and the low [12:02] self-esteem I finally started and stuck [12:04] to my fitness journey and it's been four [12:06] years now and I have not looked back so [12:08] if regular degular me can do it I [12:10] promise you can too so I want you guys [12:11] to comment down below if you're starting [12:12] your fitness journey or you're on it [12:14] right now and we could be each other's [12:15] hype men hype each other up motivate [12:17] each other encourage each other you got [12:19] this I believe in you and I'm so proud [12:21] of you I love you guys so so much [12:23] time
