[00:02] the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it That's basically trading. If you repeat the same old mistakes over and over again, you repeat the same old unconscious patterns over and over [00:16] same results. Which means that it's important that you start becoming more conscious. You start becoming more aware. And that's what sanctuary is, right? Because in trading, we all know that as [00:29] humans it's impossible for us to eliminate our emotions. The only time you don't have emotions is when you are 5 ft under the ground. They, right? Which also means that it's either you are dead or you are an AI [00:42] you are going to experience emotions, right? That's just part of life. But it's important for you to be aware of those emotions and prevent them from taking control over you. To prevent them from clouding your judgment. To prevent [00:58] causing you to make bad decisions that allow you to take unnecessary losses. right? This is the secret to mastering your mind, mastering trading psychology. [01:10] And it's very simple. And it's the fact that every single time you feel an emotion arising within you, what you want to do is to get conscious of it. Be aware of the emotion. And then settle the body down. [01:25] And the more you practice that, the less control emotions have over you. And the more conscious you become of your unconscious patterns, the fewer mistakes you repeat. Which also means fewer unnecessary loss, which [01:39] automatically means more profits. That's the secret right there. And that's what we're going to be talking about this in this lesson, right? It's about really gaining emotional mastery. And to me, emotional mastery doesn't mean [01:52] eliminating of emotions. It means accepting the fact that you cannot accepting the fact that you cannot always control the initial reaction, but you certainly always can control your response. It's [02:06] not what happens first that matters. It's what you do next. It's not the situation that hurts. It's your interpretation of the situation that hurts. It's not the wrong trade that destroys you. It's refusing to cut it [02:20] before it becomes a big loss that does. So, that's what Sanctuary is. It exists for one reason, and that is to help you break the self-destructive patterns break the self-destructive patterns fast, help you regain your mental state, [02:33] right? Come back to a mental equilibrium so that you can trade the market for what it is, not your emotions, not your mental well-being. So, that your edge actually become profitable, right? So, on Edge Flow, go to Sanctuary right [02:46] here, open up Sanctuary, and once you open Sanctuary, you will see that, just like the name suggests, it is a safe place that you can go anytime to reset your mental state, right? To calm down, to get rid of the emotions, and just [03:00] prevent them from clouding your judgment. So, over here, it's pretty much giving you all the tools that you need to calm down, to regain clarity, to detach from P&L, to stop impulse trading, and to just overall, you know, [03:14] start to like just detach from the outcome of the trades itself. So, over here, you can either meditate or you can run quick breathing and mental reset exercises to bring yourself back to neutral. Okay? So, I'm just going to go [03:28] just just going to break it down for you guys. So, the first thing you will see is this meditation timer. So, this is a very simple meditation will know exactly how this works. You can pick the duration you want to [03:43] 5 minute, 10 minute, 15 minute, 30 minute, 1 hour. If you want to go crazy, you can go even 3 hours or 5 hours, right? I'm pretty sure nobody's going to But anyways, this is where you can even set custom duration as well, right? So, [03:57] is seconds. So, let's say I'm going to meditate for uh 3 minutes dot 3 minutes 3 seconds, right? So, I'll put bells, right? You can choose to have interval bells if you want, right? If [04:11] don't want, you can turn it off. Uh how it works is that you will get a gentle reminder every few minutes or so. Like you will hear a ting sound every 1 minute or every three two minutes or three minutes or whatever it is I select [04:24] Uh this way you don't drift off, right? Or you don't get distracted, right? So, yeah, if you want, you can just set it on. And then next is the ambient sound, right? So, ambient sound, this is where you can choose a background sound while [04:38] you are meditating, right? So, you can see there's going to be a sound that around each one of these ambient sound just to give you a taste of like what it sounds like. Gentle rain, ocean wave, forest ambience, fireplace, white noise. [04:53] to meditate in silence, which is what I prefer to do, you can just press none, okay? And then once done, right? You can just start, right? So, let's say let's You can adjust the volume here, by the way, for the ambient sound itself, [05:06] right? So, let's say we start. Boom, now I'm meditating for 3 seconds. Boom, now I'm meditating for 3 seconds. 3 2 1, boom. The minute the meditation right here that will ask you how you feel, right? Just to check in how you [05:19] right? So, let's say I put energized, and you can leave some notes, right? So, I had some intrusive thoughts. Okay? Or like whatever whatever you're it here, right? Just reflect on the meditation itself, and then just press [05:33] save and exit. And the moment you do that, what happens is that we are going to check off the today, right? Which is the day which shows you that you have meditated today, and the session note that you have just put in there will be [05:45] see this is how you felt, and so on and so forth. Yeah. So, this is where you can view all the sessions. All right. So, basically, when you actually start the meditating, you will [05:58] start of the meditation. Ding. That signals the start of the meditation. And then once the timer runs end of the meditation, right? Another ding. And that signals the end of the [06:10] And like I said, once done, you're you will be able to log your emotion or any notes, and it will all be saved in here. right? So, if you look at this top right-hand corner, this is where you can [06:23] right? This is where you can set one clear rule for the day. So, for example, today I will journal every trade. Today, I will not revenge trade. Today, I will follow my trade plan. Whatever it is, you just want to keep it as one simple [06:37] sentence, and you want to make it process-oriented. You want to make it behavioral. You want to make it so that it's within your control, right? You can't say stupid stuff like, "Today, I'm going to make $5,000 from the market." [06:49] No, that's outside of your control, right? That's an outcome-focused goal, which only happens as a byproduct of you following the process, right? So, you process-oriented action right here, like, "Today, I follow my plan. Today, I [07:03] will take only A+ setups." Right? When you do this, what happens is that you are literally telling your subconscious mind, "Okay, I'm going to be doing this today." Right? So, this is my intention for the day. So, today, I'm just going [07:17] you don't realize this, but such a simple action will really like just subconscious mind, so you can take the right action. Okay. So, there's that. And then below here, you can see this is your progress and streak tracker, right? [07:32] You can see this week how many sessions you completed, how many minutes you actually meditated this week, what is your current streak, if you're on any What is your total meditation minutes and what is the amount of total sessions [07:45] that you had, right? So, once again, this stats are here because uh just to keep you accountable, right? Once again, it's not about like being a monk and just trying to stack this as much as possible. Obviously, you can do those, [07:58] it's really just there to keep you accountable. Okay, because if you can stack calm reps, if you can, you know, do the inner work consistently, you can stack discipline reps in trading. You can get consistent results in trading. [08:13] below here, this is where you have the mental toolkit. Okay, so this is a curated set of short psychology and breathing exercises all grouped by purpose that were done up by my trading performance coach inside [08:27] my trading performance coach inside of 1% Club, Sanjeev Sangha, which is this here. Now, bear in mind that this is not anybody, this is not some guy that I hired on Fiverr or anything. This is literally a trading psychology coach who [08:44] has been trading for the past 10 years and spent the past 5 years coaching prop firm traders, coaching professional institutional traders, coaching my students inside of 1% Club on how to really like just manage your psychology [08:56] well when you are trading. So, this is the guy with a lot a lot a lot of experience when it comes to psychology, when it comes to uh NLP, when it comes to trading in general, right? So, you can trust that these breathing exercises [09:09] work. If not, you can just try one out yourself and see the immediate effects after the the exercise. Anyways, this is the entire library, right? So, you got the reboot exercises. This is [09:22] want to be using triggered, when you feel tilted, when you feel emotional, when you feel overstimulated. So, you can use this before or after a trade to get back into [09:34] a flow state fast. And then you got the rewire, right? So, this is where you can build traits like confidence, discipline, detachment from money, so on and so forth. And once again, this just allows you to think and act and [09:48] feel like a professional trader. Because when you start thinking, acting, and start getting the results of a professional trader, right? So, if you mind to think like a professional, I will highly [10:02] right here. And then you got the recovery. Recovery, this is where you can come down here after a heavy session, after you're done trading, and then you want to like just, you know, let today go, right? Let your past [10:14] trade outcomes stay in the past. And you don't want to carry the market into tomorrow. So, this is where you can use it after your last trade or right before you sleep. So, each one of these cards right here, you can just click on [10:26] it and then you can play the the video itself. And then you can see the the category. It also shows you the duration. And if you like a breathing over again, you can just press this star button right here to add it into your [10:41] tab right here and you can see all your favorite exercises will be stored in favorite exercises will be stored in here, right? As simple as that. Okay? Cool. So, that's it, right? That's the entire walk through of the sanctuary [10:53] feature. Now, I'm going to tell you my personal process, right? Because some of some of you guys, you guys are interested on how I'm able to like just remain so calm even though I've just lost five fits in a row, even though I'm [11:06] managing such a huge amount of money. Well, this really because I have like a process that really just allow me to stay grounded, right? Just allow me to just trade the plan and just ignore my emotions. And my process is split into [11:18] three parts: before I trade, during I trade, and after I trade. I'm just going to quickly walk you through the entire process right here. So, before I trade, this is where I prime my mind, okay? So, before you start trading, I highly [11:31] recommend you to do a short switch on routine. routine? It's not some spiritual woo-woo thing, you know, like you have to affirmations and me well and just pray that you will succeed. No. [11:46] This switch on routine allows you to be back in control. It around allows you to prime your mind. Allows you to get into the right state so that later when you go into the charts, you can execute like a freaking machine. All right, so for [11:59] very simple, before I trade, there is three things that I do. Number one is to reset my body. So, this is where I'll come in here. I will either do like a box breathing exercise just like this or like a 60-second reboot if I'm running [12:11] out of time. Or I will do like a 5 to 10 minutes meditation. Okay? And while you are doing this exercise or this meditation, you want to make sure that because when you focus on your breathing, what happens is that you are [12:25] focusing on the present moment. And when you do that, you are training your mind to stay grounded in the present moment, which allows you to see the market for is or rather than what you think it's going to do. Okay? So, when you are [12:38] doing this meditation, when you're doing this breathing exercise, you're always breathe out longer than you breathe in. So, if you breathe in for four counts, you want to breathe out for six counts. When you do that, what you are doing is [12:52] parasympathetic system. Right, you are literally telling your body, "I am safe. literally telling your body, "I am safe. I am secure. I am calm." And what this happens is that you are able to really just get into the state [13:06] you are not thinking about the past, you're not thinking about the future, you're just focusing on the present. And this is where you are able to stop start seeing the market for what it is objectively. Yeah, so I'll do that. Then [13:21] next step is that I'll just quickly ask myself what emotion am I feeling right now. What am I walking into the market as? Right? So, if I'm feeling angry, if I'm feeling calm, if I'm feeling excited, whatever it is, I will name the [13:33] emotion. Remember, you're not judging it. You're not judging yourself. You're not judging the emotion. You're just becoming conscious of it. You're just becoming aware of the emotion. Because if you don't name the state, if [13:45] you don't name the emotional state, the state will control the trade. It will control you. Okay? So, like I said earlier, until you make the it will rule your life and you'll call it fate. Right? So, this is what we're [13:58] doing. Just getting conscious. And then, next thing is I would just tell myself, "Okay, I'm in execution mode right now. I'm not in analysis mode anymore. I'm in execution mode." So, by this time, my analysis will have [14:12] preparation, my research, my analysis. I know exactly why I want to enter for the particular price point. And now it's just a time of executing. Okay? So, when the session starts, right so, well, my job is to just wait for the setup to [14:27] appear, execute my trade, manage risk, that's it. even further, you can do like a mental rehearsal or like a visualization. And you're doing your breathing exercise, you want to visualize your process. [14:44] Visualize the steps of the process, right? You waiting for the point of interest to get mitigated, you waiting for your entry trigger, and when you do it present itself, you executing the trade with confidence, with certainty, [14:56] with conviction. And then you journaling the trade, and you ending trading for the day. So, what you do is that, once again, you are just mentally rehearsing the future, right? You And the fun part is that the brain cannot differentiate [15:09] between reality and imagination, which means that whatever that happens in your imagination, you will experience the same emotions as though your imagination this is something that you can do as well. Just do like a mental rehearsal of [15:23] the process so that later when you do go to the charts you can just execute exactly what you have visualized. Um so you can visualize if like two scenarios as well. If you win, you know what you do. If you lose, what you do. [15:36] uh and how you act. And if you lose, how you will feel and how you act, right? Something you can visualize as well. So that's what I do before the trade. Now when I am trading, sometimes I get emotional, especially after a loss or [15:51] after a win, right? After a loss, I start feeling anger. After a win, I overconfident. And when this happens, this caused me to make bad decisions because now once again, I'm trading the men my mental [16:05] well-being. I'm no longer trading the market and that's a recipe for disaster. Which means during your session, you want to do some form of reboot, right? Resetting your mind. Get back to a [16:18] mental equilibrium. Okay, and you can do that by checking out the reboot exercises right here, right? So you can just open up reboot, breathing exercise that we have given you right here. And when you do those [16:31] exercise, once you're done, ask yourself these three questions. Am I calm? Am I clear? Am I following the trade plan? Would I take this trade if I was already If the answer to any of these questions is no, then you don't trade yet because [16:48] still emotional and you need to give yourself more time, more space for your internal state to get back into equilibrium. Then you can continue trading. And then that's during the trade. Now [17:02] after I'm done trading for the day itself, you know, I've made money, I've lost money, whatever it is, I do this exact same process. Once again, I come exact same process. Once again, I come in here and I check out either one of [17:14] the videos from the rewire category or the recovery category. Now, the reason why I do this is because I really just want to detach. I want to let go of my past trade outcome. [17:29] trading every single trade that you take is not attached to the past trade outcome, the last trade or just because you won the last trade, it doesn't increase or [17:44] decrease the odds that you're going to win or lose the next trade. It's all random. But as humans, what we tend to do is that we tend to bring the past loss into the future. Oh, I just lost three losses [17:58] likely going to lose the next trade. Oh, I just won five trades. It means that I am invincible. I'm going to win the next trade for sure. But it doesn't work that way because every single trade outcome is random, right? It's uncertain, right? [18:14] whether you can win or lose the next trade. And that's what this rewire and recovery exercise allowed me to do. It allows me to just let go of whatever that have happened today and not carry the same emotions into tomorrow. [18:29] And this also allowed me to have a good night's sleep, right? Because if not, I would be thinking about oh, what I could have done better, what uh what I I I should do tomorrow, you know, and this just ruins my sleep. Okay? [18:41] exercises from in the rewire and the recovery exercise in the category after you're done trading for the day itself. Okay. So, here's a quick little cheat sheet for you, right? If you feel any sort of emotion, whether that's anger, [18:56] overconfident, anxious, fear, whatever it is, whatever emotion that you feel, before or while you're trading, you want to check out the reboot exercises right Okay? If you're done trading, you know, you [19:11] have took your last trade, you have ended your trading session, and now you want to settle down. You want to, you know, just chill and just calm down before you end the day, check out the real wire exercises or the recovery [19:24] exercises. And if you want, you can even meditate. I personally meditate twice a day, once at the start of the day and another time at the end of the day. So, yeah. That's just how I really manage my psychology, how I stay disciplined at [19:38] all times, how I'm just much more calm and much more happy than other people works. That's how sanctuary works. I built this feature because I really want [19:50] you to like just spend more time of an on your inner game because your trading results is literally a reflection of you. It's literally a reflection of your character, which also means that if you can transcend, which is end the trends, [20:04] which you can ascend to a higher version of yourself by doing all of these mental work, you will see the results that you desire. It will reflect back at you, right? Because like I said, the market [20:17] Okay? So, that's it for this video itself, and here's how I want you to think about it, right? I don't want to think of this as like a separate feature this as an integral part of your trading [20:30] process, of your trading system. The guardrails in Edge Flow stop you It blocks you from doing dumb things when you're emotional. But sanctuary fixes the emotional cause. Because if you're diluted, if you're [20:45] anxious, if you're greedy, if you're angry, if you are fearful, you are always going to find a way to break your trading rules. You are going to override your guardrails, and you are going to make stupid mistakes. As As you know the [20:58] saying goes, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes. Not because you're weak, not because you are a human, but because your nervous system is hijacked. Okay, so if you combine gut rails with [21:11] sanctuary, this combo is deadly because gut rails is like I can't trust myself right now. But sanctuary is like Wait, why am I even in this emotional state in the first place? You're building the awareness. You're [21:25] muscle. And together when you use those, you're not fighting yourself every single day. Now you are regulating first. You are regulating your nervous system. You are controlling your mind. You have mastery [21:40] over your emotions, and now you can begin to execute your system consistently like a professional. And like I said if you start to think, act, and feel like a professional trader, your actions will be aligned with that [21:54] you will get the results of a professional trader. That's it. Remember, discipline isn't about motivation. It's regulation plus putting in the systems [22:08] that will allow you to make the right decisions. And sanctuary brings you back to neutral so your edge can actually play out.
