The video also highlights the historical and monetary value of these iconic machines, making it a must-watch for any Lamborghini enthusiast.

## Transcript

How has Lamborghini's V12 evolved over the years? Well we're going to find out today by racing a Lamborghini Miura, a Lamborghini Countach,
a Lamborghini Diablo, a Lamborghini Rossellago, a Lamborghini Aventador and a Lamborghini Ruelto over the standing quarter mile. This is a drag race dream come true. I can't believe it's happening. On that note, you're watching Carwag.
I'm so excited about this. I've never ever sat in a Lamborghini Diablo before. Let alone driven one. I'll take you back to jokes from Opti who's lent me this car. I'm excited enough. Look at this.
Look at that. 5.7 litre, natural-acid rated, B12, 20.9, 492 horsepower, 5.8 Newton-litre torque, driving the rear wheels only, got a 5-speed dogleg manual gearbox. This thing weighs in at just
the 1.6 tons that's about 650 grand it's a 1991 car an early car i can put my seatbelt on which you have to do this way that's really one thing the speed position is really hard i make my head off peter and my knees against the steering wheel very offset position it's quite intimidating and
also a bit like a bit of a disaster in terms of ergonomics i can't even see the the red counter or the speed of the steering wheel anyway let me tell you about the kutash so that's a 5000
It's got a 4.8 litre naturally aspirated V12, puts out 375 horsepower, 410U.M. of torque, weighs just under 1.5 tonnes and it's also got a 5 speed manual gearbox, driving the rear wheel.
You can see this is an evolution of that design, it's just more rounded. Both designed by a chap called Gambini. So too, it's a Miura. It's a Miura P400SV from 1973. It uses a 3.9 litre naturally aspirated V12.
Yes, that's a massive transverse. It puts out 385 horsepower. It's actually more than the Countach. It has 400 Nm of torque. It's got a 1.3 tonne, it's got a 5-speed manual gearbox and it's rear-wheel drive.
It's also very expensive, but to find out how much, let's speak to its owner. Hello Niall, how are you? Very well, thank you. How are you? Yeah, I'm good, thank you. How long have you had your Miura, Niall? Probably about 15 years. Wow, that took quite a long time. I used to be very nervous about driving. I guess it's worth quite a bit. How much is it?
I've not had this one valued, because it's Rod Stewart's, and it's right-hand drive and very rare. But once sold in America, I think earlier this year, for about $6.6. $6.6? I'll give you $10 to yours. So you mean $6.6 million, don't you?
I do. I've been a bit coy. So it's Rod Stewart's car. When he had a big hit with Maggie May in 1972, it had two previous mirrors, a P400 and a P400S, but he wanted the SV.
So he made 148 in total SVs, and this is one of the seven right-hand drives. Are there any cool Rod Stewart stories? specific to that car? There's a slightly salacious one where he had his wicked way with Britt Eklund in the passenger seat and her stilettos went through the headlining.
There's a hole through the roofline, is there? There were, but it went to Hong Kong and the guy who owned it didn't like it, so he had the headlining restored. What a mistake. Enough of that. Let's have a chat to the owner
of the Countach, Aston. How are you, mate? How you doing, Matt? You all right? It's quite interesting, these cars. They were all designed by Gandini. He wore a, like, beautiful, flown line and then he went all crazy with a Countach. And Countach is like
Bliny or something, isn't it, in Italian? Or Wow. It actually stands for Holy Cow. Ha ha ha! Okay. And Holy Cow, the colour of your interior, I like it. Thank you, Matt. So how long have you had your car? I've owned my car since 2012.
Can I ask how much you paid for it? 82 grand, non-runner. And how much money did you have to sink into it to get it running? Probably spent about 20,000 pounds. And now the value, roughly? It's currently insured for 900,000 agreed.
That is amazing. There's a profit in that if you ever sell it, though you probably won't ever want to sell it, will you? I don't think you can buy a price on a 10-year-old string, to be quite honest. Too right. So, before we race, I just want to do one thing.
Niall may have the most beautiful car, you might have the most striking car, but there is one thing mine and your car has in common that, unfortunately, Niall's lacks. Let's do it, let's open our doors. It's not even fucking easy, but look, Niall, we're going to make you do your door.
Look at yours, Don. Niall, your car's rubbish. Right, shall we go with this racing rather than this chatting? So what we're going to do is a rolling race in 10 miles an hour in first gear, and we're going to race over the half mile. Just so you know, guys, we're going to be doing a series of races,
and whichever car wins overall is going to win a stage on, and it gets to race the later Lamborghinis. Let's go. Three, two, one. What's going on?
Is it the ad-libs? Is it the drive? Oh, come on, Diablo, baby!
I'm having a funny situation
I don't funny situation Thank you Whoa
Whoa! From me at takeoff, we were pretty close, but then this just started to guff you.
Yeah, you initially fooled a bit, and then I was like, struggling to keep you up, but I think I did quite well. Niall, how was it for you, darling? Happy to think. Right, we're going to do a different race and see what they're like in terms of just pick up and talk, okay?
Oh, bloody hell. the steering on this, it's got power systems and all, it's hard work. You know what, first of all, my audience is all over the place, but now I'm going to get you into it.
That noise, I remember this noise, well, from what we think is a Chimera quite some that had been slathered into these cars, innit? Right, and what we're going to do is a rolling race, setting gear, from about 50 miles an hour, we'll race to the half mile marker.
Let's go. 3, 2, 1, go. Oh, that's a good job.
I've got more of it. Come on, you're cutting off!
Come on, go out, love, you can do it, baby, run! Go!
Oh, that's a great scale! Go, go, go! Yours kicked it so nice, Aston. And I just got your gear change.
I can hold the gear for longer. Now, my red lines are about seven and a half. What are yours red line up? Eight thousand? Woo! What about you, Noel? I think you're a bit more chill, aren't you? Yeah, I'm the old fellow, the group. And actually, I haven't got any red lines on the rev counter,
but I'm guessing it's probably eight thousand. All right, now we're going to do our drag race. But before we do that, let's just do a sound check. So, I'm going to rev up my V12. Right, and Aspen, let's have a listen to your Pizzerini.
And now yours, Niall. Right. This is it. Oh, my God!
Oh, my God! This is a big thing for this movie,
so I'm out of time.
Come on, Doug. Come on, Doug, come on!
he's got an amazing launch Aston's the lad
you go through to the next round oh thank you Matt crazy man so the job that's been knocked out so it means that the contest is going against the next Lamborghini which is a Murcielago LP640 from 2007
so it's got a 6.5 litre naturally aspirated V12 640 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque, drives all four wheels by a 6-speed robotised manual gearbox Car weighs in at just under 1.8 tons, so that's about £500,000
You may notice that I'm in the driver's seat, that's because Aston has kindly let me drive his car and just like the Diablo, this is my first time sitting in and driving and I haven't needed some cash, so I hope I don't break your car
You're very trusting, or very stupid We'll find out. Let's speak to the owner of the Mercedes though. Hello James, you alright? Yeah, all good mate, all good. I think you have a slight advantage over me, so it'll be interesting to see the jump from classic Lamborghini to new age Audi owned Lamborghini.
Absolutely agree. So how long have you had it? I've had it for three years. Now we are going to drug race it. Have you ever launched your car? Do you have launch control? Not that I know of, no. Well we'll find out if it has, but if it hasn't, we might be in with the champs.
First thing we're going to do is a rolling start race over the half mile. I'll fast gear and we'll see what the difference is between these two cars. Three. Two. One.
Ah! Go, go, go! Go, go, go!
Three Two One Oh my God
Oh, it's warm! That's 20 years, that is definitely a difference, right? So much difference.
There is, but we could still see it. We could still see it. Good point, Ashton. So, you haven't technically won any kind of moral victory until we can no longer see you, James. So we're going to do another race and see if you can go so fast you disappear.
What we're going to do is a race from about 50 miles an hour in second gear one's going over the half mile. Here we go, right, three, two, one, go. So we're with it, we're with it, we're with it.
We're not with it anymore. We can still see him up there. Oh, yes!
You didn't disappear entirely That was a good effort I'm an amateur though
Well do you know what This is a big one now We're going to do the drug race Over the quarter miles We're going to race For the first air cones I'll see you On the start line sunshine Alright James What we're going to do Before we do the drug race Is a sound check
The first thing we're going to check Sound of our engine So have a listen to my V12 That's authentic Italian sound Let's have a listen to your Audi
I think I prefer the Audi Yeah Sound wise, I think so Sounds more like Formula 1 V12 I think you've won that sound check, James
But there's another sound check I don't think you're going to win You ready? Go on Let's hear your German horn Oh no! You've lost on that one! Oh, me! Bella, Bella!
OK, what we're going to do is a drag race now, James, but I'm not going to drive this because Aston did such a good job against the Diablos that he's going to drive, and I hope he beats you. Three, two, one...
Come on, Alton! You've got it! Come on, baby! Come on, we're not there!
Oh, don't run, though! Woo!
James, how was your launch? You looked terrible. No, I've never launched before. I've done my best. You do go through to the next round, the final round. You're going to have to perfect your launch if you're going to have any chance of beating the next car.
Unfortunately, Aston, you're out. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, man. Thanks for trusting me with your car. Right, let's move on to the final round. Right, I've jumped in with James in the Murcielago and we've now been joined by Guy in a Lamborghini Aventador S
and Shawnee in his Ruelto. So let me tell you about the Aventador S. It has a 6.5 litre V12, Natcha-operated with 740hp, 690Nm of torque. So it's all four wheels, RS7 speed, robotised manual gearbox. It weighs in at just under 1.7 tonnes.
The car costs about £250,000. The Ruelto also has a 6.5 litre Natcha-operated V12, but it's supplemented by an electric motor driving the rear wheels. And you've got two electric motors on the front axle, so you've got four-wheel drive.
8.0 to combine 1015 horsepower and 1062 newton meters of torque Raised in addition to 1.9 because it's worth about half a million quid Now let's have a quick chat to Guy
I know a bit more about his car Hey Guy, how are you? Yeah, good Have you ever raced your car before? I've been around Goodwood and a few other race tracks But not in a straight line quite like this Shawnee, you've been here before many times
And your car's featured many times as well What do you think's going to happen? I think I'm finally going to win You've won before! Right, it's going to be interesting to see the difference between these cars. Let's start off with a sound check. And the thing we're going to start off with is a horn.
Beat your horn, Sean. Guy? James, you've got the most sorry-sounding horn out of the lot. I've got a song. Oh, no, we've been taken over by Andy.
I tell you what's not boring, though, the door. So everybody pop both of your doors up, right? And then what we're going to do is a sound check. We're going to start off with James. Guys, I'm looking for yours
Guys, have you got a Gintani exhaust on yours? Nope, I've got a Jacqueline Hyzer's lost on it Sean, can you let Guy hear what a Gintani sounds like?
Yeah, let's go Nice Now listen them all together to annoy the neighbours Go Whoooo
Right, we're going to start off with the rolling race. First gear over the half mark. Right in change. We're going to do this. 3, 2, 1.
I can't believe how far behind we are James
The initial pick up on this motor like is so much slower than your car.
You were far behind him a while ago, up front. There's no mistaking that he beat me, but I was quite surprised to only be roughly sort of a car and a half behind him for a little while. For a little while, he says, Sean,
but when you crossed the line, how far was he away from you? We were far ahead of him as Guy was ahead of us. Yeah, I couldn't even see you guys, but I could see him and he was really far back. I think we were still doing the quarter mile where you just finished the half.
Right, now we're going to have a rolling race. 50 miles an hour, second gear. Once again, we'll get to the half mile. A bit absurd, actually, guys. Three, two, one, go.
How many gauges has he got?
That's the difference. He's got seven. And so his third is obviously low gears in that third. So we saw that there. That's what happened. We're going to do the drag race now. So I'll see you all back on the line.
It's my first time driving a Murcielago. Listen, I'll have a go. If I do it crap, you drive again. All right, then.
Come on, we got here, here we go.
Come on, we got here, here we go. Ready to get going, mama? Well, well, well, I did my best.
Guy, I thought I had you, but you came right in past. I had a crap start, actually. Yeah, I think Sean took the biscuit on that one, but I definitely reeled the nursery on. I'll tell you what, we'll swap over. We'll do it again, all right?
All right. Hey! Hey! Hey!
Good, good, good, good job. So we got good launch, you got good launch, your launch neck and neck.
Sean, was yours all fine? Yeah, yeah, it was spot on over here. We were actually quite neck and neck, you and Guy for a little bit, and then this just over. I think that was a great run watching those three go down the runway. I've had so much fun. Thanks for coming down, guys.
Really appreciate it. Thank you very much, James, for letting me drive your car. So then, what exactly happened? Well, the Rualto won. It completed the standing quarter mile in 10.1 seconds. The Aventador took 10.9 seconds.
The Murcielago, 12.3 seconds. The Countach, 14.1 seconds. The Diablo, 14.3 seconds. And the Miura was the slowest with a time of 18.9 seconds. So understandably, the owner decided not to smash it.
You'd think it's a question though, James. Are Lamborghinis better than Ferraris? Yeah. You reckon? Well, I've actually got a Jaguar to settle that. What's that video there? It's just popping up over James. Right. I like it. So, I hope you enjoyed the video. If you did, give it a like.
Let me know whether you think Ferraris are better than Lamborghinis. In the comments below. Or maybe you're a Lambo guy. It's trippy to be watching this. And as always, if you haven't done so already, subscribe to this channel because we've got some Ferrari Jaguar cases coming out next. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you next time.
