[03:00] I bought a V8 Vantage. The [music] truth is, I've always wanted an Aston Martin. And ever since we filmed that V8 Vantage in [music] California when we did that old versus new video, I couldn't get the car out of my head because for the
[03:15] money, which I'll get to in a second, I don't think that there is a more complete set of ticked boxes in the car world.
[03:31] V8 is mounted low and far back because it has a dry sump oil system like a race car. Its transmission is at the rear for perfect weight distribution. The chassis is all aluminum
[03:47] The chassis is all aluminum and it has a manual transmission.

[04:54] Oh, it is such a phenomenal car to drive. I said in our previous video that it feels like a big MX5 to me and I stand by that. Actually, the more I
[05:06] drive this car, the more it just feels like a big luxurious Miata. The steering wheel is really small and the suspension moves around and it has the suspension moves around and it has that same sense of eager to rotate as
[05:21] that same sense of eager to rotate as you go into a corner that an MX5 does. It's such an engaging car to drive. And the steering, the steering, it just blows all modern steering out of
[05:34] [music] the water. An old hydraulic rack like this from this era is just on another level. So much feedback. Actually, all of the
[05:46] controls are very weighty, right? The shifter is really nice, but still very you have to be purposeful when you put it [music] into gear. The steering has a lot of heft to it. The pedals are strong. It's a car that you can really
[05:59] kind of grab and use, but then it's comfortable and it looks it's beautiful. Like it's just such a mindblowing thing. There isn't a car
[06:12] like this for the money. There isn't. You can get a V8 Vantage for as little as mid30s US. But if you want the [music] then you're looking at about 50 US for
[06:28] then you're looking at about 50 US for an Aston Martin. Cars, those guys that have been kind of
[06:40] they helped us with all [music] of our road trips. They actually specialize in Aston. The owner owns two of them and he's been getting these through for years and he always calls me and says, "I know you want one of these. Do you
[06:53] want this one?" And I go, "No, that's not right. It's not. I'm not ready." The whole thing. And then finally, he got this one in that has 27,000 m on it in the perfect spec, exactly how I wanted it. And he said, "If you'll just shut up
