[00:01] while Ethereum's onchain economy could expand by as much as 100 times. And some of the biggest forces behind the next cryptobull market may already be falling into place. UN believes suppressed Bitcoin volatility could [00:15] triggering what he calls a really fast move upwards. Even if Bitcoin falls into the $50,000 range first, he believes the upside is now significantly greater than the downside and expects Bitcoin to finish 2026 higher. His longerterm [00:29] outlook is even more aggressive. Bitcoin could rise five-fold while the number of assets moving onchain could increase by 10 to 100 times and Ethereum could be one of the biggest beneficiaries. Hugan points to its leadership in tokenization [00:41] and stable coins. While Tom Lee sees another major catalyst approaching, institutional adoption. Lee argues that regulatory clarity in the United States could open the floodgates and create an institutional crypto market bigger than [00:53] anything the industry has seen before. The question now is whether crypto faces one final drop before that upside arrives or whether waiting for the perfect entry means missing the move entirely. In this video, we'll break [01:05] predictions, why [music] he thinks Bitcoin could eventually five times, and Tom Lee's case for a new wave of institutional adoption that could transform the crypto market in 2026. And before we jump into it, just a quick [01:18] reminder, only a small percentage of you watching are actually subscribed. If hit that subscribe button. It's free. It begin. >> I think there's a chance that volatility [01:31] is being built up uh or sorry, it's being suppressed in Bitcoin, as I mentioned, will be released on the upside, meaning we could have a a really fast move upwards at some point. The big question, if you're allocating for the [01:45] next 10 years, is not whether the bottom is in in Bitcoin, it's whether the top is in. And I think what Jan is saying is the top isn't in, right? We're printing the top isn't in, right? We're printing deficits. Uh the world is uncertain. Uh [01:58] Bitcoin is pretty certain. It's at this sort of sec natural uh cyclical low. Who cares if it goes down 10% or more? I think it's going to go up 5x. That's the argument to just buy it all now. So it really comes down to whether you're uh [02:14] return maximizing or behavior risk minimizing. Bitcoin could rise five-fold. His argument starts with something the [02:28] volatility. Hugan believes volatility has been suppressed and could eventually surprisingly fast move higher. That matters because Bitcoin is still trading near $63,000 after falling dramatically from its October 2025 record above [02:43] The weakness has tested conviction, but Hugan is looking beyond the next few months. He argues that investors with a 10-year horizon may be asking the wrong question by obsessing over whether Bitcoin has found its exact bottom. The [02:56] already reached its ultimate top. Recent more weight. Research published in July found that Bitcoin has matured toward institutional grade liquidity with realized volatility declining over time [03:09] as trading volume increased and transaction costs fell. CME has even giving institutions another regulated tool for trading expected price swings. Hugan has also reiterated a $1 million Bitcoin target within 10 years. From [03:23] enormous upside. But his next argument gets even more immediate, even if another decline arrives first. How Gan believes 2026 could still finish investors. Another thing I want to hear [03:36] heard from so many different analysts at this point that Bitcoin's bottom is going to come sometime in or around October. And it's made me nervous because it feels like as soon as everybody agrees on something that's not [03:49] and and just the growing consensus around October as a bottom for Bitcoin? >> Yeah, I mean uh it is consensus. I mean, you you literally hear it three or four times a day from three or four different people, and that does uh make me [04:04] nervous. The calendar has been a reliable indicator of Bitcoin returns uh much more reliable than I anticipated uh over the last couple of years. So, who am I to say that it won't continue to be reliable? Again, I would go back to that [04:20] point I made about what Yan was saying, which is, yeah, maybe it goes down a little bit. The consensus is we could trade into the 50s. Uh but if you think this is going to a million dollars, do you really want to uh take that risk? So [04:33] know. I think we're higher by the end of the year. The path between here and there depends on a lot of different factors, but I think the upside is much more significant than the downside at this point. And you know, to peel back, [04:47] do you care if you bought at $5,000 in 2018 or $3500 in 2019 or at $63,000 now? In either case, you did pretty well. Um, I think that may be the scenario that [04:59] I think that may be the scenario that we're in. October 2026 as the window when the 4-year cycle could produce its low. Hugan admits that consensus makes him nervous. When everyone expects the same [05:13] trade, markets have a habit of refusing to cooperate. The bearish version still deserves context. Michael Turpin has projected an October bottom near $57,000, while Galaxy Digital's June research modeled a base case trough [05:25] between 40,000 and $46,000 before the fourth quarter ends, but Bitcoin already traded below $58,000 in early July, meaning part of the downside envisioned Hugan's response is much more important for long-term investors. He says Bitcoin [05:40] could trade into the $50,000 range, but asks whether squeezing out a slightly better entry matters if Bitcoin eventually reaches $1 million. More recently, Hugan has argued that Bitcoin appears to be near a turning point and [05:52] could be substantially higher by year end. That changes the risk calculation. theoretical bottom could save investors money if the cycle repeats exactly. It could also leave them watching from the sidelines if Bitcoin turns earlier. And [06:05] that long-term upside becomes even more interesting when Hugan shifts from moving onchain. All delivered straight to your inbox. description, enter your email, and you're in. >> Look, the bullcase for Ethereum is that uh the total number of assets on chain [06:44] is going to 10 or 100x. And Ethereum is the leader on tokenization and stable lot of that is going to move on chain. And then my thesis is it will figure out why that's valuable. I I think that the questions on Ethereum [07:00] uh I mean there are two there's one can it compete to continue to gather assets on chain. I actually think it will. I think that's a pretty lindy market where trust and brand and reputation and time in the market uh matters and where the [07:12] Ethereum community is starting to execute well to be competitive with the I think they'll have a reasonable market share. [07:25] rally. He believes the total amount of assets moving on chain could increase by 10 to 100 times, potentially creating an enormous expansion in the financial activity competing for blockchain infrastructure. Ethereum currently sits [07:39] near the center of that shift. RWA.xyz data shows Ethereum remains the leading blockchain for tokenized real world assets excluding stable coins. The stablecoin value, giving Hugan's argument measurable activity behind it [07:53] rather than relying entirely on future expectations. The bigger catalyst is tokenization itself. Black Rockck chief executive Larry Frink has repeatedly argued that tokenization represents the next generation of financial markets. [08:05] Black Rockck's tokenized treasury fund has already demonstrated how traditional financial products can operate directly on blockchain rails. Major institutions are no longer discussing tokenization purely as an experiment. Hugan believes [08:18] Ethereum's advantage comes from more than technology. Years of operation have liquidity, and infrastructure that serious capital moves onchain. He also believes Ethereum's developers are [08:31] executing better against competitors such as Salana. If onchain assets truly multiply anywhere close to Hugan's 10 to 100 times forecast, Ethereum would not need to capture everything to benefit enormously. Make sure to stick around [08:43] until the end of the video as we break down the catalyst Tom Lee believes could along with the latest developments that could put his outlook to the test. >> Crypto has so many catalysts. I mean, since the end of June, Ethereum has [08:58] outperformed memory stocks by 72 percentage points. I mean, that's pretty percentage points. I mean, that's pretty huge. Um, you know, people have lost 40% in memory and they've made almost 30% in Ethereum. Um, and now the Clarity Act is [09:15] on the, as they say in the one yard line that will open up the floodgates because the Clarity Act is going to provide a single agency to have oversight of the [09:27] entire crypto economy. Um, that doesn't exist today. It's all it's state regulated and there's fragmentated fragmented regulation. Japan and other version of clarity act. Russia just passed one. So the US obviously has to [09:43] catch up. This is going to create uh institutional adoption of crypto. That's a bigger market than anything that's existed in crypto before. [09:58] open the floodgates for institutional crypto adoption. His focus is the federal market structure for digital assets and reduce fragmentation that has kept institutions cautious. However, as per recent news, the legislation is no [10:12] longer sitting at the one yard line. The Senate entered its August recess without Leader John Thoon has pushed the next delay has reduced expectations for [10:24] not abandoned the effort, the institutional thesis, however, is showing signs of life. A 2026 Coinbase and EY Pathonon survey of 351 [10:36] institutional decision makers found that 66% already had exposure through spot crypto exchange traded products. 64% of asset managers expressed interest in tokenizing their own assets, up from 40% in 2025. That helps explain why Lee sees [10:51] regulatory clarity as transformative. The capital is not waiting for crypto to prove it exists. Institutions are already building exposure, custody while regulation catches up. So, the Clarity Act delay changes the timing, [11:04] but not necessarily the destination. If Washington eventually delivers clearer adoption could become a market larger before, and institutions are not waiting entirely on Congress. [11:21] Lee seriously is that institutional adoption is continuing even while crypto prices remain far below their previous highs. The market may be struggling, but the infrastructure around it is moving in the opposite direction. A 2026 [11:34] Coinbase and EY Pathnon survey found that nearly 3/4 of institutional investors surveyed plan to increase crypto allocations, while 74% expect crypto prices to rise over the next 12 months. Even more importantly for [11:47] Hugan's onchain thesis, 64% of asset managers said they are interested in tokenizing their own assets, up from 40% in 2025. Banks are moving too. Wells Fargo plans to introduce tokenized deposits for corporate and commercial [12:00] blockchainbased transfers and settlement [music] has begun rolling out a regulated Hong Kong dollar stablecoin for institutional distributors and professional investors. [12:13] These developments do not guarantee Bitcoin or Ethereum will immediately rally. They do show that the underlying adoption story is progressing during a difficult market. That may ultimately be the most bullish setup of all. If Hugan [12:26] is right about Bitcoin eventually rising five-fold and onchain [music] assets building during weakness could become the foundation for the next major move. today.
