[0:01] Are you tired to coming home from a long [0:04] day at work, logging into your class and [0:06] having to do dungeons and raids? [0:09] Do you just want to enjoy a relaxing [0:12] time in a delve, on a world quest, in a [0:15] ritual, fishing for stuff in Zul'Aman? [0:20] Then World of Warcraft has the perfect [0:22] class for you, the solo class. Today [0:24] we're going to be ranking all of the [0:26] classes in their power of doing solo [0:29] content. Which one is the best? Which [0:31] one is the lowest? And there are a [0:33] couple of things that you need to know. [0:35] First of all, we're going to be ranking [0:37] these classes based off of their sustain [0:40] and survivability in long-term solo [0:42] content, because any class can do any [0:45] content if you're just going to stop [0:46] after each pack, drink, or heal, or [0:49] rebuff, or reflash, or just release your [0:51] spirit and come back to your corpse. [0:53] That's not fun, and that doesn't mean [0:54] that a class is strong. Second of all is [0:57] speed. Certain classes might not have as [1:00] much sustain, but they might have speed [1:02] getting from one point to another, and [1:05] they're able to just clear content [1:06] overall quicker, but they might have to [1:08] occasionally stop to either heal [1:10] themselves or eat, or maybe even use [1:12] heal potions during their content. And [1:15] lastly, we're going to have an extra [1:17] layer of consideration for max gear [1:19] characters. Although you might not see [1:21] footage of max gear character, but that [1:22] doesn't mean that they're different. [1:25] Certain classes that are probably really [1:27] bad at soloing once they get really good [1:29] gear, which is probably most of them, [1:31] are going to like plow through the [1:33] content. So if that's the case, we're [1:34] going to exclude that particular rating, [1:37] because if everybody's good, then what's [1:39] the point of a ranking? [1:42] So we're going to start it off with [1:44] Paladin. As probably to nobody's [1:46] surprise, Paladin is a very S-tier [1:49] class. And of course, now we can talk a [1:50] little bit about the specs as well, [1:52] because not every spec of Paladin is S [1:54] class, and we're going to assume that [1:57] you are willing to maybe swap to a [1:59] different spec that your class has to [2:01] maybe make your life a little bit easier [2:03] or maybe you're going to gear that [2:05] particular spec to clear the content. In [2:07] this case, we're mostly talking about [2:08] protection and red, but if I really have [2:11] to rank one over the other, it would be [2:12] protection being S tier, red being A [2:16] tier, and holy being [2:18] B tier, probably just because it's a [2:20] plate wearing healer with a lot of [2:21] heals. Now, protection being A tier has [2:24] a lot to do with its damage and of [2:27] course it being a tank. We all know that [2:28] protection in end game is pretty squishy [2:31] and that kind of sucks, but that doesn't [2:32] really correlate that well with solo [2:35] content. That's not that punishing for [2:38] tanks. So, the tankiness is probably [2:39] just about enough for you not to have to [2:42] worry about ever dying. Not to mention [2:45] that protection paladin probably has [2:46] some of the highest amount of damage [2:48] output out of all the tanks and during [2:50] your cool downs, you're likely going to [2:52] out DPS a lot of the DPS specs, period. [2:55] Also, and that's a really good selling [2:57] point if you're going to be doing [2:58] delves, if you're going to be doing [2:59] rituals with max tier and max challenges [3:02] as well, and you want to like farm [3:04] accolades or whatever you're into. [3:05] That's perfectly fine. And of course, [3:07] this doesn't change with max gear, [3:08] obviously it just gets better. I leveled [3:11] as protection and mostly red even though [3:13] my main spec for paladin is holy. I just [3:16] cannot see it any other way. [3:18] That's just how it is. [3:21] Demon hunter is also probably I would [3:24] probably put it ahead of paladin because [3:26] what demon hunter also brings to the [3:28] table is speed and glide. I guess they [3:31] both kind of factor into mobility. And [3:34] of course, I'm mostly talking about [3:35] havoc here. You can of course do [3:37] vengeance, but vengeance doesn't have [3:39] the damage of protection paladin. So, [3:41] I'll probably put vengeance in A and [3:43] devour probably in C tier. So, it's kind [3:47] of hard to rank demon hunter because if [3:48] you're going to be looking to solo [3:50] content clear, you're going to likely [3:53] switch to the class that's easiest to [3:55] solo content with. And this is why it's [3:56] kind of difficult to rank these classes [3:58] because we cannot go into each specific [4:00] spec too much because if we just average [4:03] everything out, all classes will [4:04] probably be around B tier. But, if you [4:05] are interested in [4:07] potentially [4:09] >> [laughter] [4:10] >> Marceline is going to kill me. [4:11] Potentially seeing a tier list where we [4:13] rank all specs, all 40 of them based off [4:17] of their capability of surviving, then I [4:20] don't know, leave a like on the video so [4:23] that we can tell I don't know if we get [4:24] like [4:25] 10,000 likes or whatever, maybe we'll do [4:27] that cuz that sounds like a Herculean [4:29] task. It is 40 specs. Wow, it's a big [4:32] game, you guys. [music] [4:33] But, with that out of the way, [4:35] Demon Hunter is my main. I actually love [4:37] all three specs and I'm at a tank at [4:39] heart and I did not touch Vengeance [4:41] whatsoever and I tried to level as [4:42] Havoc. And if you have as well, you [4:45] might know it is an absolute pain. [4:50] Havoc was not meant to do solo content. [4:52] Of course, you have the gear and you can [4:55] And now with to be fair, with the Soul [4:57] Emulation when I leveled it, it didn't [4:59] heal you back. Now, it definitely heals [5:00] you back. So, that's a good boon boon, [5:03] not boon. Bonus, I want to say bonus. [5:04] But, it's a good boon and that [5:06] definitely helps. It's definitely better [5:07] than before. However, you will still [5:09] need to ramp your damage and you only [5:11] need to be able to stay in constant [5:12] combat so that you can transition your [5:14] soul count from one pack to another, [5:17] either it's delves or rituals or [5:18] whatever so that you eventually can go [5:19] into meta. The problem with that is that [5:21] once you're in meta and Havoc, you're [5:22] probably going to one-shot most specs. [5:24] So, that's great for speed, but it's [5:27] kind of like wasted power. It's kind of [5:28] like hitting a fly with a bazooka, [5:30] right? Yeah, that fly is gone, so, but [5:33] you kind of wasted so much just for one [5:36] little fly. However, Havoc just just [5:38] blends everything. You're so tanky, you [5:40] have so much sustain, you're so fast, [5:42] you cannot die to fall damage and [5:44] sometimes that happens. There are some [5:45] knock-up somewhere somehow. Maybe you're [5:48] farming treasures and you're, you know, [5:50] up at top of the mountain and you got no [5:52] more vigor points and you're just [5:53] dropping down with glide. It's all good. [5:55] Demon Hunter S tier. [5:57] I've been debating a lot on where to put [5:59] priest because obviously priest is the [6:02] only class with two healer specs and [6:04] healers are the worst usually at solo [6:06] content. And the worst is not [6:08] necessarily that they cannot survive. [6:09] Obviously they can because they are [6:10] healers. They can heal more than anybody [6:13] else, but their damage is so abysmally [6:15] low and I feel like in mythic night [6:16] that's a new level. Of course, shadow is [6:18] not too shabby, but shadow's also a [6:20] squishy and immobile caster. So, I think [6:23] I'm going to be maybe a little bit [6:25] aggressive here and put priest into D [6:27] tier. And I'll go over a little bit as [6:29] to [6:29] why D tier. I'm going to talk about [6:32] shadow because that's probably what most [6:33] people are thinking of doing if they're [6:35] going to be selling with priest. And [6:36] that's great. Shadow is cool. You cannot [6:38] reliably heal for a lot as shadow and [6:41] I'm not talking about vampiric embrace. [6:42] I know vampiric embrace is pretty good, [6:44] but I refuse to just going to like stop [6:46] and then just heal. And I'm pretty sure [6:48] this [6:49] I don't even remember, man. Does flash [6:51] heal even work in shadow form anymore? I [6:53] think it probably does. [6:55] And then that's about it. Plus, the [6:56] problem with priest healing, shadow [6:58] priest, and red paladin and a bunch of [7:00] other hybrid specs is that you're [7:01] limited by your mana pool. And yeah, you [7:04] can heal. The heals are very, very tiny. [7:07] You have to heal for quite a lot if your [7:08] HP is almost down. So, you're probably [7:10] still better off eating food in between [7:13] packs if you need the little bit of [7:15] sustain. And you're most likely going to [7:17] need health potions to survive. Now, of [7:19] course, if you're playing discipline and [7:20] holy, that's no longer the case, but [7:22] then you're super, super, super, super, [7:23] super slow in clearing content. So, [7:27] priest is D tier. [7:29] Rogue, a personal favorite solo content [7:31] class of mine. I wish I could put it [7:34] into A tier. [7:36] Um I also debated and put into B tier. [7:38] Let's uh let's talk a little bit about B [7:40] tier rogue. The problem with rogue is [7:41] that its sustain is kind of poor. It's [7:44] really poor, especially if you're in [7:46] back-to-back content. The certain specs [7:48] do a little bit better. For instance, [7:49] I've had the hardest time with Outlaw [7:51] for some reason because its damage is [7:53] just I guess really consistent and it's [7:55] kind of like Devour. It doesn't ramp, [7:57] but you kind of want constant fights and [8:00] big fights to kind of roll your balls [8:02] from one pack to another, especially if [8:03] you play keep it rolling, haha, [8:05] ironically. I had a bigger [8:08] relief when I played I think I we might [8:10] have some footage here on screen where I [8:13] did [8:14] four or five challenges of rituals like [8:17] day one with rogue with a very under [8:19] gear rogue 240 something item level tier [8:21] five. It was very difficult. And [8:23] assassination just made that work really [8:25] well because I could just go in, take [8:26] the big target down one at a time. It [8:28] was still slow, but it was definitely [8:30] doable. Now, rogue also has other [8:33] utilities. You have a lot of crowd [8:35] control that will bump it past A tier [8:37] and stealth is a very underappreciated [8:40] skill to have in solo content because [8:43] you can dodge stuff or you can [8:44] pre-position stuff or you can go [8:46] stealth, you can sap one of the two [8:48] dangerous mobs that are going to be a [8:50] pain. You can kill one and then take the [8:51] other one into another pack. There's [8:52] there's all sorts of stuff you can do. [8:55] Crimson Vial also gives you a little bit [8:56] of sustain, but outside of that you're [8:58] just not not A tier. And I'm probably [9:01] being a little bit generous putting it [9:03] into A tier, but I'm putting it just [9:04] because it has really good mob control [9:06] and [music] that goes really well when [9:08] you're doing solo content. It doesn't [9:09] matter once you're like geared to the [9:11] teeth 290 item level. That doesn't [9:13] matter anymore. But until then, that's [9:15] where the journey and the struggle is. [9:18] Speaking of struggle, dear god, how the [9:21] mighty have fallen, dude. Man, mages [9:25] have a hard time in solo content. Of [9:28] course, we're always talking about, you [9:30] know, gearing up 210 item level to 240 [9:34] item level 250 item level. You shouldn't [9:36] of course if you're a good mage, you [9:37] might make it work. [9:39] Not everybody's a good mage, okay? Not [9:41] everybody plays mages a main to have to [9:43] struggle in solo content with. Mages [9:45] have taken a big hit in their defensives [9:48] in Midnight like [9:49] >> [laughter] [9:49] >> it's [9:51] it's not even funny until it is actually [9:53] funny when you realize you went from [9:55] about [9:56] five strong defensives to one and a [10:00] half. That is [10:02] wild when it comes to the class identity [10:04] and flavor. And of course, the best solo [10:07] spec is still Frost Mage. The most [10:09] obvious reason is probably because [10:10] you're just slowing everything, and you [10:11] have a lot more frozen Frost Novas, I [10:13] think. I don't know if the other specs [10:15] run with two charges of Frost Novas. I [10:16] don't even know if Frost Mage can run [10:18] with two charges of Frost Nova, but you [10:20] know, Blizzard and Frozen Orb and all of [10:23] that already applies slow, so that's not [10:25] the point. But, the better reason to [10:27] play Frost is because its damage is so [10:29] accessible. It's not so conditioned by [10:32] combustion and Touch of the Magi or [10:35] Arcane Power, right? Arcane and Fire as [10:37] well, similarly to Devourer as before, [10:39] once you pop your cooldowns, you're just [10:41] annihilating everything. It doesn't even [10:42] It's not even funny. You're just killing [10:44] everything. But, outside of those [10:45] cooldowns, it's just very poor. While [10:46] Frost doesn't really have that problem. [10:48] Not to mention, I guess depending on the [10:50] level that you are, you might have two [10:51] charges of Ray of Frost. Either you're [10:53] Either if you're leveling, [10:55] that might be a little bit harder to get [10:56] through. But, if you're max level and [10:58] you're just doing delves and rituals, [10:59] two charges of Ray of Frost just gives [11:01] you access to [11:02] a very flexible damage profile that can [11:05] take care of pretty much anything. And [11:06] of course, two charges of Ice Barrier, [11:08] two charges of Ice Cold. Um it sucks [11:11] that you even lost the heal from Ice [11:13] Cold, bro. God damn it, they hit mages [11:15] so hard. It feels It feels personal [11:17] sometimes. [11:19] Now, Monk is a hybrid class, and I feel [11:22] Monk is one of those classes that [11:25] really, really relies on tuning. It's It [11:28] cannot be A-tier. It is definitely [11:29] S-tier because it's kind of like a worse [11:33] worse havoc. And I'm saying havoc, not [11:35] necessarily demon hunter. Of course, you [11:36] can play brew, but um [11:38] I'm sure. I feel like you don't really I [11:41] feel like brew is overkill. You you're [11:43] Windwalker is not that squishy. [11:44] >> [music] [11:45] >> And your energy regenerates way quicker [11:47] for your vivifies as opposed to let's [11:49] say mana for red paladin. You are faster [11:52] than paladin, let's say, but I don't [11:54] know if Windwalker has the the type of [11:56] damage profile flexibility that red has. [11:58] And also, red has way more [12:01] utility in terms of survivability. [12:02] Blessing of protection is god. I mean, [12:04] you're just immune to damage period, [12:06] most likely melee. Of course, you remove [12:08] bleeds. Monk doesn't really have that. [12:10] You have bubble with paladin. So, I'm [12:11] kind of comparing it to paladin just so [12:13] you know, okay, it's S tier, but it's [12:14] not really the same level. And I cannot [12:16] really put it into A tier because it's [12:18] definitely better than rogue to play the [12:20] overall, of course. You can even go [12:22] Mistweaver, man. Mistweavers are not [12:24] doing too shabby, actually. If you can [12:26] actually pull really really big, you [12:28] might be able to just do even less [12:30] damage than a Windwalker, but you're [12:31] going to survive with the amount of [12:32] healing that you can do. But, you know, [12:33] that's based off of everybody's own [12:35] preferences. Monk is one of the few [12:39] classes I feel, which is what is making [12:41] it to S tier, where you can reliably [12:42] play even the healer spec of it and do [12:45] probably better than most other healers [12:47] out there. Probably the best healer out [12:49] there. Is it the best healer? Close. I [12:50] think there's one better. [12:52] I once thought that hunters are the [12:55] kings of solo content. And [12:58] I don't know anymore, man, because I've [13:01] been leveling my hunter. I've been [13:02] playing it through some difficult delve [13:04] pulls because I wanted to level through [13:05] that you know, the the the good delvy [13:08] blast things. [13:10] Uh what was it? The calamitous [13:13] voice from delve where I just pulled the [13:14] whole packs at the beginning with [13:15] survival because [13:18] I guess you do more damage. [13:21] The thing is, unless you're using [13:23] misdirection on your pet, your pet will [13:24] not be able to hold aggro. And even if [13:26] you're using misdirection on your pet, [13:27] it's unlikely that the pet can hold [13:28] aggro for very long. And if you're if [13:31] you're not a survival, that has even [13:33] less of an effect. I mean, Beast [13:34] Mastery, [13:35] it's maybe Beast Mastery can hold aggro [13:38] on the pet a little bit more because the [13:39] pet does a little bit more damage. But [13:41] then again, you reach a point where your [13:43] pet will probably die or you might have [13:44] to use just a few too many mend pets to [13:46] kind of make it work. And of course, [13:48] Marksmanship doesn't even have that [13:49] luxury, period. Hunter still A tier [13:52] because of its kit, because Feign Death [13:54] is really good. You are relatively fast. [13:58] You have range on a lot of the [13:59] abilities. I mean, you're not competing [14:01] with with other people in the DPS. So, [14:03] even as a survival, you can just sit at [14:04] range and then just throw your bombs if [14:06] you're in danger. You can kite really [14:08] well with a lot of crowd control. So, it [14:09] kind of has, let's say, the crowd [14:11] control of rogue, probably with slightly [14:13] better survivability because you can [14:15] offset some of the damage that you take [14:16] to your pet. On single target [14:19] encounters, let's say, like a big rare [14:20] or stuff like that, you might do better [14:22] than a lot of other specs because you [14:23] can more reliably keep your pet alive if [14:25] you're just fighting like one boss, like [14:26] one rare or super rare. Your pet might [14:28] still die, but you can reliably res it [14:31] back. You have Aspect of the Turtle to [14:33] kind of revive your pet. An old-school [14:35] tactic for experienced veteran hunters [14:38] that have suffered those long ganking [14:40] days of Stranglethorn Vale. [14:43] Death Knight, I have found surprisingly [14:45] A tier. I always thought Death Knight [14:47] was a pretty good Do I [14:49] put it in front of I I think I want to [14:51] put it in front of Paladin, too. And [14:52] I'll tell you why. Mostly it has to do [14:54] with Unholy, I believe. So, Death Knight [14:57] is is a very good solo spec for very [14:59] good reasons because it just has [15:01] sustain, your Death Strike, right? The [15:03] good part about it is that Death Strike [15:05] doesn't really eat mana. Obviously, it [15:06] eats runic power. It's not really free, [15:08] but you can essentially cast an infinite [15:10] amount of them, right? You're not going [15:11] to run out of runic power and then take [15:13] forever to regenerate runic power. You [15:14] can just generate that runic power [15:15] really quickly. Not to mention, Unholy [15:19] has the sustain [15:21] of [15:22] I think it's just a better red. I'm just [15:24] thinking about it. Dark transformation [15:26] is a 45-second cool down and that is [15:28] enough to kill anything that is, you [15:30] know either [15:32] a nightmare prey that's coming to hunt [15:33] you down or a delve boss. Maybe you're [15:35] going from prey to prey or you're [15:37] getting ambushed a lot. You just have [15:40] dark transformation almost always and if [15:41] you really need to take a big target [15:43] down like I'm thinking [15:46] the Runestone event in Eversong Woods, [15:50] the big boss that spawns. Sometimes if [15:52] you're the only one doing that content, [15:54] it's going to be tricky. So, armies just [15:56] you're just going to delete that. And a [15:59] good thing about Death Knight is that [16:01] your pets will not die the way that a [16:03] hunter pets would die. So, you don't [16:04] have to worry about that. They're not [16:06] tanking either, but AMS makes you it [16:10] just immune to magic damage. You can [16:11] even immune prey mechanics with AMS. [16:15] Fancy that. You also have Icebound [16:17] Fortitude that can secure a stun. [16:18] Nightmare prey is famously stun you when [16:21] you're getting ambushed or the one that [16:23] can get out of that. It's not always [16:24] lethal, but sometimes if you're fighting [16:26] something that's just putting it's [16:28] putting a circle down beneath you that's [16:30] going to take a big hit out of your HP. [16:32] And then just at that time you're also [16:34] getting ambushed by your prey. By the [16:36] time you naturally get out of the stun, [16:37] you're going to get hit by at least one [16:39] of those circles. Sometimes that can be [16:41] lethal. It happened to me especially [16:42] while you're leveling up whilst you're [16:44] just starting your max-level adventures. [16:47] And of course you can play blood and [16:48] frost, but I feel like unholy is [16:50] definitely the king right now in in [16:52] Death Knight solo [music] content. [16:55] Warlock, my second main right now has [16:59] seen me have some of the worst [17:03] survivability in end game and there's a [17:05] reason why I'm putting it to C tier. [17:06] Okay, it's a pet class. Pet class are [17:08] not usually that bad. Maybe I'll bump it [17:10] back into B tier by the time I'm done [17:12] talking myself out of it. So, I've [17:14] leveled a warlock because, you know, I'm [17:15] playing [17:17] warlock in a push group with my friends. [17:19] We even have a video on it that you can [17:20] check at the end of this one. And [17:23] I wanted to, you know, I made I I got to [17:25] 90 and I just wanted to jump into [17:27] Nightmare Preys because [17:29] >> [gasps and laughter] [17:30] >> why why do anything else, right? And it [17:33] has been so far the only class that has [17:34] struggled with it because with low gear [17:36] your damage is just not enough to kill [17:39] something most of the times when Azshara [17:42] calls you out to do it. Like I didn't [17:44] really have a problem getting ambushed. [17:46] Still talking about Preys. I obviously [17:48] didn't have a problem CC'ing the little [17:50] ghost that follows you around. I of [17:51] course didn't have problem collecting [17:53] and doing all open world content [17:56] whatsoever or delves, but Nightmare [17:58] Preys have been so bad. It took me about [18:00] 30 to 40 minutes to finish my first [18:02] Nightmare Prey. And it's the only class [18:04] that I've had to go through that right [18:06] now. It's just not very flexible. You're [18:08] very immobile. If you're flying and [18:10] you're just commanded by Azshara to kill [18:12] something and you land and there's [18:14] nothing there was there's just like one [18:16] mob. By the time you actually build [18:17] enough damage to destroy the thing cuz [18:19] pretty much all three Warlock specs have [18:20] some sort of ramp, you might die. You [18:22] might die a lot until you get more gear. [18:24] Of course, with gear gets a little bit [18:25] better. And because it's so much better [18:27] in delves and rituals and so on and you [18:29] have the flexibility of three specs with [18:31] different tanking pets. I guess I can [18:33] put it into B tier. It is tankier than [18:35] mage for instance. It has way more [18:37] sustain than mage. It has way more crowd [18:39] control. That's good in open world [18:40] content. Mortal Coil one of them. Uh [18:42] than mage. And curses are not that bad [18:45] either, but I feel like that one major [18:47] drawback which you're probably going to [18:49] encounter with a lot of these classes as [18:51] you level up is going to be felt the [18:53] most with Warlock which is maybe even B [18:56] tier. I feel like it's a little bit [18:57] generous. Although I love the class and [18:58] I really enjoy playing it. [19:01] Warrior is an interesting case. I think [19:04] it's definitely going to be in A tier. [19:06] And it's maybe one of the few classes [19:08] where I would super recommend playing [19:10] protection. Maybe I have a soft spot for [19:12] protection as a spec, but it's just [19:14] really good in solo content. [19:17] Warrior is above other classes that have [19:19] like no inherent sustain because it has [19:22] impending victory in the way it works [19:24] with open world content. Even if you [19:25] play DPS specs, you're more likely going [19:27] to be able to play into impending [19:29] victory, which is kind of the same thing [19:30] that rogue has right now if I think [19:32] about it with the new crimson vial [19:33] talent that gets the ability reset once [19:35] you kill a target. But impending victory [19:37] does that way more reliably. So, you can [19:39] actually play all three warrior specs. [19:41] Protection does a lot more damage than [19:43] let's say, I don't know, I guess I don't [19:45] know if it does more damage than [19:46] brewmaster. But protection warrior can [19:48] just go go go. Not to mention you can [19:50] just carry your ignore pain from one [19:52] pack to another and that's also really [19:53] good. But even if you're not going to do [19:55] that, if you're going to play fury, [19:56] you're probably the tankiest out of all [19:58] the warrior specs. If you're going to [19:59] play arms, you might be able to take one [20:01] or two targets down way quicker than all [20:02] the other warrior specs, although that's [20:04] debatable with the with the current [20:05] tuning that we have right now. But [20:07] warrior is just a juggernaut. It's very [20:09] very tanky, tankier than paladin, [20:12] weirdly enough. It doesn't have as much [20:13] sustain, but it is decently fast. Leap [20:16] is actually a really good tool in open [20:17] world content if you want to, I don't [20:19] know, jump to a bridge and you don't [20:21] want to mount cuz the mob is on the [20:23] bridge and you don't want to have to go [20:25] all the way around. It's it's just those [20:27] little things definitely do a lot of [20:29] legwork. You can charge from pack one [20:31] pack to another. If you're playing arms, [20:32] die by the sword just makes you more or [20:34] less immune to attacks for foreseeable [20:37] future. It does have a lot of utility [20:39] and a lot of good stuff going for it. [20:41] So, maybe I'm biased, let us know if you [20:43] think otherwise. [20:45] Now, shaman is a class that is a hybrid [20:48] class and hybrid class I would rank [20:51] fairly highly [20:52] as it's I I cannot put it together with [20:55] red and monk for some reason. Shaman is [20:58] just also still very squishy and they [21:00] have changed a little bit of their [21:02] tankiness. We don't have the bulwark [21:05] totem, which wasn't a great defensive in [21:07] iron but it was really good in solo [21:09] content, and you can fill in the gaps in [21:11] between pulls where you didn't have to [21:12] like stop and heal or stop and drink. My [21:14] main problem with Shaman being any [21:16] higher, and even at eight tier, maybe [21:18] I'm a little bit too generous, [21:20] is that uh the heals are very poop, and [21:22] they just deplete the mana drastically. [21:24] Enhancement probably has a little bit of [21:26] a leg up because you can juice up your [21:27] heals with Maelstrom Weapon, or what is [21:29] it called now? Overflowing Maelstrom, I [21:31] think, at the moment. So, you can just [21:33] have like really, really juicy heals. [21:35] I'm I'm pretty sure they still cost [21:36] mana, so you're still going to run out, [21:37] but you might not have to cast as many [21:39] as, let's say, Elemental would have to. [21:41] Not to mention, all Shaman specs except [21:43] Elemental have lost a Thunder's Struck. [21:46] Is that what it's called? It's not [21:48] Thunderstorm. It's not It's the knock [21:49] up. Well, it's no longer knock up, it's [21:51] just knock back. All Shaman specs lost [21:53] the knock up, actually. You do have a [21:55] lot of a lot of crowd control with [21:56] totems. You can root them with Earth [21:58] Grasp. You can slow them with Earth [21:59] Bind. You can stun them with Capacitor [22:01] Totem. Um I don't know if necessarily [22:03] fears are going to be a problem. One [22:05] thing that Shaman does have other other [22:06] class over other classes is that [22:08] Restoration is the only healer with a [22:09] kick, and kicks are actually important [22:12] in in open world content, especially if [22:14] you're playing praise once again, [22:16] because the thing that chases you around [22:18] can just be kicked. I mean, you can also [22:20] dispel it, I suppose, or purge it, which [22:22] also works, I guess. But you sometimes [22:25] might not have that that luxury to do. [22:27] It's not a bad class, and it does have a [22:29] lot of damage for solo content. It's [22:31] just not mobile, either. So, I'm I'm [22:33] still debating, but I feel like if I had [22:35] to choose which one between Mage and [22:37] Shaman would be better for solo content, [22:38] it would probably be Shaman. So, I guess [22:39] that's why it cannot be on the same tier [22:41] as Mage. [22:43] Evoker is a wild card because it has a [22:46] lot of good things that are going to [22:47] prop it up, and a lot of bad things that [22:48] are going to pull it down. [22:50] >> [gasps] [22:52] >> If I would have to solo content, [22:53] obviously I would probably play [22:54] Devastation, [22:55] no questions asked. I don't think [22:57] Augmentation can cut it. [23:00] Uh the power of Augmentation is by just [23:03] maintaining long uptimes on Evan Might, [23:05] and that's just a slow combat. And [23:07] that's mentioned that you have to [23:07] constantly be in combat to do so. It's [23:10] not impossible, [23:13] but I don't know if it's necessarily [23:14] that good considering that the Visage [23:16] can just destroy pretty much everything. [23:18] Now, of course, all DPS specs are better [23:20] with cooldowns on. You should probably [23:22] just put this up as well. [23:24] Um all DPS specs are good with cooldowns [23:27] out, but I feel like the Visage doesn't [23:28] suffer as much without cooldowns as with [23:30] other specs as well. And one thing that [23:32] Evoker has over everybody is soar, and [23:35] that it's it's not necessarily a mount. [23:37] I don't know if that helps that it's not [23:39] a mount. I mean, you still have to cast [23:41] it, but you do have glide as well. And [23:43] the overall open world crowd control is [23:46] really good. The landslide is just [23:49] insane if you accidentally found [23:50] yourself pulling too many, or if you [23:52] want to make a big pull, but you just [23:54] have to kind of kite a little bit. [23:56] That's just incredible to do. [23:58] Not to mention deep breath, stunning [24:00] everything is just peak. [24:02] >> [sighs] [24:03] >> I guess you could play preservation. I [24:05] feel like preservation has had its time [24:07] in the sun where now its damage is so [24:08] low that I don't know I don't know. I I [24:10] guess they're they're buffed. I Well, [24:12] actually, I don't know if I've seen a [24:13] preservation buff in like months now. [24:16] Not even a devastation buff, actually. I [24:18] think everybody is just focused on [24:20] augmentation, but that's mostly because [24:21] of end game. [24:22] It's also a very kind of squishy class, [24:24] and its range being [24:26] 25-30 yards is is not that great as [24:29] opposed to let's say being a frost mage [24:30] and shooting a glacial spike from like [24:32] almost 40 yards away. But, despite mage, [24:35] your defenses are slightly better, [24:36] you're way more mobile, and you can [24:38] glide. So, I guess that's why we're [24:40] going to have it into A tier. [24:42] Last but not least, uh is this the king? [24:45] So, this is the hardest one to rank, [24:47] because obviously this is an S tier [24:49] spec, but how S tier is it? I think [24:52] Druid is probably still the king of solo [24:55] content, but I'm having a hard time [24:57] putting it ahead of Havoc, and this is [24:58] for a very good reason. [25:00] On paper, Druid is the best. You have [25:02] access to all ship ship forms that give [25:04] you tools for anything that happens in [25:06] combat. You can pretty much play all [25:07] specs, even the healer spec. This is the [25:10] other here that I that I was mentioning [25:11] that has really good damage cuz you can [25:12] just owl weave or cat weave with resto. [25:15] Of course, you're not going to do as [25:15] much damage as feral or balance, but you [25:18] can do that while never having to worry [25:20] about dying cuz your heals are going to [25:21] keep you up. Not to mention, you can [25:23] even play talents that convert damage [25:24] into healing, which right now are pretty [25:26] strong, but they're probably going to [25:27] get nerfed. The only reason why I'm [25:29] hesitant in putting it ahead of Havoc is [25:31] because Havoc is tuned to a point where [25:34] even though it doesn't have actual [25:36] heals, even though it's a DPS specs and [25:37] it's not a tank, it's tuned just above [25:40] where that would matter. And that's [25:42] mainly it. If Havoc would would have [25:44] been slightly squishier, if Havoc's [25:47] leech would be slightly weaker, I think [25:49] Druid would hands down be the king right [25:52] now. But because and I I don't know if [25:54] if we should rank these based off of [25:56] tuning. I think Druid is still going to [25:57] be ahead because you have a lot more [26:00] specs that are going to be good at solo [26:02] content as opposed to the Demon Hunter [26:03] that just has the Vengeance. If, for [26:05] instance, you're a Havoc player, [26:07] you're the best. You don't care. But if [26:08] you're a Vengeance player, you're going [26:10] to struggle more. So, that kind of [26:12] difference in perspective will probably [26:14] see Druid overall, by and large, be a [26:17] better class to solo content. But what [26:19] do you think? Let us know in the comment [26:20] section down below. What has your [26:22] experience been with soloing some of [26:23] content because I've had some of the [26:25] easiest time and some of the hardest [26:27] time this season. Uh and I'm talking [26:29] about uh Demonology, of course. And uh [26:31] by the way, [26:33] you can watch our Demonology video [26:34] because that's one of the videos that we [26:36] made to talk about what it means to [26:38] change your main. Well, I didn't really [26:40] change, I just picked another one. And [26:42] what it means to play meta class and how [26:44] you learn from it and how you improve [26:46] and how that affects your overall, let's [26:48] say, enjoyment of end-game content.
