# 12.0.5 Tier List: BEST Solo Classes in WoW Midnight

> Source: [12.0.5 Tier List: BEST Solo Classes in WoW Midnight](https://youtube.com/watch?v=58Twi4TD2JI)

## Summary

This video ranks all World of Warcraft classes based on their effectiveness in solo content, focusing on sustain, survivability, and speed. The ranking considers both leveling and max-level scenarios, with special attention to spec flexibility and gear scaling.

### Key Points

- **Ranking Criteria** [00:35] — Classes are ranked by sustain and survivability in long-term solo content, speed of clearing, and consideration for max gear. The goal is to avoid stopping to heal or die.
- **Paladin - S Tier** [01:42] — Protection paladin is S tier due to high damage and tankiness. Retribution is A tier, Holy is B tier. Protection has high damage output and survivability, making it excellent for delves and rituals.
- **Demon Hunter - S Tier** [03:21] — Havoc demon hunter is S tier, ahead of paladin, due to speed and glide. Vengeance is A tier. Havoc has great sustain and mobility, but requires ramping damage and soul fragments.
- **Priest - D Tier** [05:57] — Priest is D tier because healers have low damage, and shadow priest is squishy and immobile. Mana limits healing, and damage is abysmal, making solo content slow and painful.
- **Rogue - A Tier** [07:29] — Rogue is A tier due to crowd control and stealth, but sustain is poor. Assassination works well for single targets, but overall damage and survivability are lacking compared to higher tiers.
- **Mage - C Tier** [09:18] — Mage is C tier because defensives were heavily nerfed. Frost is the best spec due to accessible damage and slows, but other specs rely on cooldowns. Squishy and immobile.
- **Monk - S Tier** [11:19] — Monk is S tier, similar to demon hunter but slightly worse. Windwalker has good sustain and speed, and Mistweaver is viable. Better than rogue but not as strong as paladin.
- **Hunter - A Tier** [12:52] — Hunter is A tier due to feign death, range, and crowd control. Pets struggle with aggro and survivability, but kiting and utility make it effective. Beast Mastery is best for pet survivability.
- **Death Knight - A Tier** [14:43] — Death knight is A tier, possibly ahead of paladin. Unholy has great sustain with Death Strike and pets that don't die easily. Anti-Magic Shell and Icebound Fortitude provide strong defensives.
- **Warlock - B Tier** [16:55] — Warlock is B tier due to pet tanking and crowd control, but ramping damage and immobility are drawbacks. Struggles with Nightmare Preys at low gear. Better than mage but not as good as death knight.
- **Warrior - A Tier** [19:01] — Warrior is A tier, with protection being highly recommended. Impending Victory provides reliable sustain. Fury is tanky, arms has burst. Good mobility with leap and charge.
- **Shaman - B Tier** [20:45] — Shaman is B tier because heals are mana-intensive and squishy. Enhancement has better healing with Maelstrom Weapon. Good crowd control with totems, but lacks mobility.
- **Evoker - A Tier** [22:43] — Evoker is A tier due to mobility (soar, glide), crowd control (landslide, deep breath), and decent damage. Devastation is the best spec. Squishy but better defensives than mage.
- **Druid - S Tier (King)** [24:42] — Druid is the king of solo content due to versatility: all specs viable, including resto with cat/owl weaving. High survivability and utility. Slightly behind havoc in raw power but overall best class.

### Conclusion

Druid is the overall best solo class due to its versatility and survivability, but Havoc demon hunter is a close second for raw power. The ranking emphasizes sustain and speed, with gear scaling considered.

## Transcript

Are you tired to coming home from a long
day at work, logging into your class and
having to do dungeons and raids?
Do you just want to enjoy a relaxing
time in a delve, on a world quest, in a
ritual, fishing for stuff in Zul'Aman?
Then World of Warcraft has the perfect
class for you, the solo class. Today
we're going to be ranking all of the
classes in their power of doing solo
content. Which one is the best? Which
one is the lowest? And there are a
couple of things that you need to know.
First of all, we're going to be ranking
these classes based off of their sustain
and survivability in long-term solo
content, because any class can do any
content if you're just going to stop
after each pack, drink, or heal, or
rebuff, or reflash, or just release your
spirit and come back to your corpse.
That's not fun, and that doesn't mean
that a class is strong. Second of all is
speed. Certain classes might not have as
much sustain, but they might have speed
getting from one point to another, and
they're able to just clear content
overall quicker, but they might have to
occasionally stop to either heal
themselves or eat, or maybe even use
heal potions during their content. And
lastly, we're going to have an extra
layer of consideration for max gear
characters. Although you might not see
footage of max gear character, but that
doesn't mean that they're different.
Certain classes that are probably really
bad at soloing once they get really good
gear, which is probably most of them,
are going to like plow through the
content. So if that's the case, we're
going to exclude that particular rating,
because if everybody's good, then what's
the point of a ranking?
So we're going to start it off with
Paladin. As probably to nobody's
surprise, Paladin is a very S-tier
class. And of course, now we can talk a
little bit about the specs as well,
because not every spec of Paladin is S
class, and we're going to assume that
you are willing to maybe swap to a
different spec that your class has to
maybe make your life a little bit easier
or maybe you're going to gear that
particular spec to clear the content. In
this case, we're mostly talking about
protection and red, but if I really have
to rank one over the other, it would be
protection being S tier, red being A
tier, and holy being
B tier, probably just because it's a
plate wearing healer with a lot of
heals. Now, protection being A tier has
a lot to do with its damage and of
course it being a tank. We all know that
protection in end game is pretty squishy
and that kind of sucks, but that doesn't
really correlate that well with solo
content. That's not that punishing for
tanks. So, the tankiness is probably
just about enough for you not to have to
worry about ever dying. Not to mention
that protection paladin probably has
some of the highest amount of damage
output out of all the tanks and during
your cool downs, you're likely going to
out DPS a lot of the DPS specs, period.
Also, and that's a really good selling
point if you're going to be doing
delves, if you're going to be doing
rituals with max tier and max challenges
as well, and you want to like farm
accolades or whatever you're into.
That's perfectly fine. And of course,
this doesn't change with max gear,
obviously it just gets better. I leveled
as protection and mostly red even though
my main spec for paladin is holy. I just
cannot see it any other way.
That's just how it is.
Demon hunter is also probably I would
probably put it ahead of paladin because
what demon hunter also brings to the
table is speed and glide. I guess they
both kind of factor into mobility. And
of course, I'm mostly talking about
havoc here. You can of course do
vengeance, but vengeance doesn't have
the damage of protection paladin. So,
I'll probably put vengeance in A and
devour probably in C tier. So, it's kind
of hard to rank demon hunter because if
you're going to be looking to solo
content clear, you're going to likely
switch to the class that's easiest to
solo content with. And this is why it's
kind of difficult to rank these classes
because we cannot go into each specific
spec too much because if we just average
everything out, all classes will
probably be around B tier. But, if you
are interested in
potentially
>> [laughter]
>> Marceline is going to kill me.
Potentially seeing a tier list where we
rank all specs, all 40 of them based off
of their capability of surviving, then I
don't know, leave a like on the video so
that we can tell I don't know if we get
like
10,000 likes or whatever, maybe we'll do
that cuz that sounds like a Herculean
task. It is 40 specs. Wow, it's a big
game, you guys. [music]
But, with that out of the way,
Demon Hunter is my main. I actually love
all three specs and I'm at a tank at
heart and I did not touch Vengeance
whatsoever and I tried to level as
Havoc. And if you have as well, you
might know it is an absolute pain.
Havoc was not meant to do solo content.
Of course, you have the gear and you can
And now with to be fair, with the Soul
Emulation when I leveled it, it didn't
heal you back. Now, it definitely heals
you back. So, that's a good boon boon,
not boon. Bonus, I want to say bonus.
But, it's a good boon and that
definitely helps. It's definitely better
than before. However, you will still
need to ramp your damage and you only
need to be able to stay in constant
combat so that you can transition your
soul count from one pack to another,
either it's delves or rituals or
whatever so that you eventually can go
into meta. The problem with that is that
once you're in meta and Havoc, you're
probably going to one-shot most specs.
So, that's great for speed, but it's
kind of like wasted power. It's kind of
like hitting a fly with a bazooka,
right? Yeah, that fly is gone, so, but
you kind of wasted so much just for one
little fly. However, Havoc just just
blends everything. You're so tanky, you
have so much sustain, you're so fast,
you cannot die to fall damage and
sometimes that happens. There are some
knock-up somewhere somehow. Maybe you're
farming treasures and you're, you know,
up at top of the mountain and you got no
more vigor points and you're just
dropping down with glide. It's all good.
Demon Hunter S tier.
I've been debating a lot on where to put
priest because obviously priest is the
only class with two healer specs and
healers are the worst usually at solo
content. And the worst is not
necessarily that they cannot survive.
Obviously they can because they are
healers. They can heal more than anybody
else, but their damage is so abysmally
low and I feel like in mythic night
that's a new level. Of course, shadow is
not too shabby, but shadow's also a
squishy and immobile caster. So, I think
I'm going to be maybe a little bit
aggressive here and put priest into D
tier. And I'll go over a little bit as
to
why D tier. I'm going to talk about
shadow because that's probably what most
people are thinking of doing if they're
going to be selling with priest. And
that's great. Shadow is cool. You cannot
reliably heal for a lot as shadow and
I'm not talking about vampiric embrace.
I know vampiric embrace is pretty good,
but I refuse to just going to like stop
and then just heal. And I'm pretty sure
this
I don't even remember, man. Does flash
heal even work in shadow form anymore? I
think it probably does.
And then that's about it. Plus, the
problem with priest healing, shadow
priest, and red paladin and a bunch of
other hybrid specs is that you're
limited by your mana pool. And yeah, you
can heal. The heals are very, very tiny.
You have to heal for quite a lot if your
HP is almost down. So, you're probably
still better off eating food in between
packs if you need the little bit of
sustain. And you're most likely going to
need health potions to survive. Now, of
course, if you're playing discipline and
holy, that's no longer the case, but
then you're super, super, super, super,
super slow in clearing content. So,
priest is D tier.
Rogue, a personal favorite solo content
class of mine. I wish I could put it
into A tier.
Um I also debated and put into B tier.
Let's uh let's talk a little bit about B
tier rogue. The problem with rogue is
that its sustain is kind of poor. It's
really poor, especially if you're in
back-to-back content. The certain specs
do a little bit better. For instance,
I've had the hardest time with Outlaw
for some reason because its damage is
just I guess really consistent and it's
kind of like Devour. It doesn't ramp,
but you kind of want constant fights and
big fights to kind of roll your balls
from one pack to another, especially if
you play keep it rolling, haha,
ironically. I had a bigger
relief when I played I think I we might
have some footage here on screen where I
did
four or five challenges of rituals like
day one with rogue with a very under
gear rogue 240 something item level tier
five. It was very difficult. And
assassination just made that work really
well because I could just go in, take
the big target down one at a time. It
was still slow, but it was definitely
doable. Now, rogue also has other
utilities. You have a lot of crowd
control that will bump it past A tier
and stealth is a very underappreciated
skill to have in solo content because
you can dodge stuff or you can
pre-position stuff or you can go
stealth, you can sap one of the two
dangerous mobs that are going to be a
pain. You can kill one and then take the
other one into another pack. There's
there's all sorts of stuff you can do.
Crimson Vial also gives you a little bit
of sustain, but outside of that you're
just not not A tier. And I'm probably
being a little bit generous putting it
into A tier, but I'm putting it just
because it has really good mob control
and [music] that goes really well when
you're doing solo content. It doesn't
matter once you're like geared to the
teeth 290 item level. That doesn't
matter anymore. But until then, that's
where the journey and the struggle is.
Speaking of struggle, dear god, how the
mighty have fallen, dude. Man, mages
have a hard time in solo content. Of
course, we're always talking about, you
know, gearing up 210 item level to 240
item level 250 item level. You shouldn't
of course if you're a good mage, you
might make it work.
Not everybody's a good mage, okay? Not
everybody plays mages a main to have to
struggle in solo content with. Mages
have taken a big hit in their defensives
in Midnight like
>> [laughter]
>> it's
it's not even funny until it is actually
funny when you realize you went from
about
five strong defensives to one and a
half. That is
wild when it comes to the class identity
and flavor. And of course, the best solo
spec is still Frost Mage. The most
obvious reason is probably because
you're just slowing everything, and you
have a lot more frozen Frost Novas, I
think. I don't know if the other specs
run with two charges of Frost Novas. I
don't even know if Frost Mage can run
with two charges of Frost Nova, but you
know, Blizzard and Frozen Orb and all of
that already applies slow, so that's not
the point. But, the better reason to
play Frost is because its damage is so
accessible. It's not so conditioned by
combustion and Touch of the Magi or
Arcane Power, right? Arcane and Fire as
well, similarly to Devourer as before,
once you pop your cooldowns, you're just
annihilating everything. It doesn't even
It's not even funny. You're just killing
everything. But, outside of those
cooldowns, it's just very poor. While
Frost doesn't really have that problem.
Not to mention, I guess depending on the
level that you are, you might have two
charges of Ray of Frost. Either you're
Either if you're leveling,
that might be a little bit harder to get
through. But, if you're max level and
you're just doing delves and rituals,
two charges of Ray of Frost just gives
you access to
a very flexible damage profile that can
take care of pretty much anything. And
of course, two charges of Ice Barrier,
two charges of Ice Cold. Um it sucks
that you even lost the heal from Ice
Cold, bro. God damn it, they hit mages
so hard. It feels It feels personal
sometimes.
Now, Monk is a hybrid class, and I feel
Monk is one of those classes that
really, really relies on tuning. It's It
cannot be A-tier. It is definitely
S-tier because it's kind of like a worse
worse havoc. And I'm saying havoc, not
necessarily demon hunter. Of course, you
can play brew, but um
I'm sure. I feel like you don't really I
feel like brew is overkill. You you're
Windwalker is not that squishy.
>> [music]
>> And your energy regenerates way quicker
for your vivifies as opposed to let's
say mana for red paladin. You are faster
than paladin, let's say, but I don't
know if Windwalker has the the type of
damage profile flexibility that red has.
And also, red has way more
utility in terms of survivability.
Blessing of protection is god. I mean,
you're just immune to damage period,
most likely melee. Of course, you remove
bleeds. Monk doesn't really have that.
You have bubble with paladin. So, I'm
kind of comparing it to paladin just so
you know, okay, it's S tier, but it's
not really the same level. And I cannot
really put it into A tier because it's
definitely better than rogue to play the
overall, of course. You can even go
Mistweaver, man. Mistweavers are not
doing too shabby, actually. If you can
actually pull really really big, you
might be able to just do even less
damage than a Windwalker, but you're
going to survive with the amount of
healing that you can do. But, you know,
that's based off of everybody's own
preferences. Monk is one of the few
classes I feel, which is what is making
it to S tier, where you can reliably
play even the healer spec of it and do
probably better than most other healers
out there. Probably the best healer out
there. Is it the best healer? Close. I
think there's one better.
I once thought that hunters are the
kings of solo content. And
I don't know anymore, man, because I've
been leveling my hunter. I've been
playing it through some difficult delve
pulls because I wanted to level through
that you know, the the the good delvy
blast things.
Uh what was it? The calamitous
voice from delve where I just pulled the
whole packs at the beginning with
survival because
I guess you do more damage.
The thing is, unless you're using
misdirection on your pet, your pet will
not be able to hold aggro. And even if
you're using misdirection on your pet,
it's unlikely that the pet can hold
aggro for very long. And if you're if
you're not a survival, that has even
less of an effect. I mean, Beast
Mastery,
it's maybe Beast Mastery can hold aggro
on the pet a little bit more because the
pet does a little bit more damage. But
then again, you reach a point where your
pet will probably die or you might have
to use just a few too many mend pets to
kind of make it work. And of course,
Marksmanship doesn't even have that
luxury, period. Hunter still A tier
because of its kit, because Feign Death
is really good. You are relatively fast.
You have range on a lot of the
abilities. I mean, you're not competing
with with other people in the DPS. So,
even as a survival, you can just sit at
range and then just throw your bombs if
you're in danger. You can kite really
well with a lot of crowd control. So, it
kind of has, let's say, the crowd
control of rogue, probably with slightly
better survivability because you can
offset some of the damage that you take
to your pet. On single target
encounters, let's say, like a big rare
or stuff like that, you might do better
than a lot of other specs because you
can more reliably keep your pet alive if
you're just fighting like one boss, like
one rare or super rare. Your pet might
still die, but you can reliably res it
back. You have Aspect of the Turtle to
kind of revive your pet. An old-school
tactic for experienced veteran hunters
that have suffered those long ganking
days of Stranglethorn Vale.
Death Knight, I have found surprisingly
A tier. I always thought Death Knight
was a pretty good Do I
put it in front of I I think I want to
put it in front of Paladin, too. And
I'll tell you why. Mostly it has to do
with Unholy, I believe. So, Death Knight
is is a very good solo spec for very
good reasons because it just has
sustain, your Death Strike, right? The
good part about it is that Death Strike
doesn't really eat mana. Obviously, it
eats runic power. It's not really free,
but you can essentially cast an infinite
amount of them, right? You're not going
to run out of runic power and then take
forever to regenerate runic power. You
can just generate that runic power
really quickly. Not to mention, Unholy
has the sustain
of
I think it's just a better red. I'm just
thinking about it. Dark transformation
is a 45-second cool down and that is
enough to kill anything that is, you
know either
a nightmare prey that's coming to hunt
you down or a delve boss. Maybe you're
going from prey to prey or you're
getting ambushed a lot. You just have
dark transformation almost always and if
you really need to take a big target
down like I'm thinking
the Runestone event in Eversong Woods,
the big boss that spawns. Sometimes if
you're the only one doing that content,
it's going to be tricky. So, armies just
you're just going to delete that. And a
good thing about Death Knight is that
your pets will not die the way that a
hunter pets would die. So, you don't
have to worry about that. They're not
tanking either, but AMS makes you it
just immune to magic damage. You can
even immune prey mechanics with AMS.
Fancy that. You also have Icebound
Fortitude that can secure a stun.
Nightmare prey is famously stun you when
you're getting ambushed or the one that
can get out of that. It's not always
lethal, but sometimes if you're fighting
something that's just putting it's
putting a circle down beneath you that's
going to take a big hit out of your HP.
And then just at that time you're also
getting ambushed by your prey. By the
time you naturally get out of the stun,
you're going to get hit by at least one
of those circles. Sometimes that can be
lethal. It happened to me especially
while you're leveling up whilst you're
just starting your max-level adventures.
And of course you can play blood and
frost, but I feel like unholy is
definitely the king right now in in
Death Knight solo [music] content.
Warlock, my second main right now has
seen me have some of the worst
survivability in end game and there's a
reason why I'm putting it to C tier.
Okay, it's a pet class. Pet class are
not usually that bad. Maybe I'll bump it
back into B tier by the time I'm done
talking myself out of it. So, I've
leveled a warlock because, you know, I'm
playing
warlock in a push group with my friends.
We even have a video on it that you can
check at the end of this one. And
I wanted to, you know, I made I I got to
90 and I just wanted to jump into
Nightmare Preys because
>> [gasps and laughter]
>> why why do anything else, right? And it
has been so far the only class that has
struggled with it because with low gear
your damage is just not enough to kill
something most of the times when Azshara
calls you out to do it. Like I didn't
really have a problem getting ambushed.
Still talking about Preys. I obviously
didn't have a problem CC'ing the little
ghost that follows you around. I of
course didn't have problem collecting
and doing all open world content
whatsoever or delves, but Nightmare
Preys have been so bad. It took me about
30 to 40 minutes to finish my first
Nightmare Prey. And it's the only class
that I've had to go through that right
now. It's just not very flexible. You're
very immobile. If you're flying and
you're just commanded by Azshara to kill
something and you land and there's
nothing there was there's just like one
mob. By the time you actually build
enough damage to destroy the thing cuz
pretty much all three Warlock specs have
some sort of ramp, you might die. You
might die a lot until you get more gear.
Of course, with gear gets a little bit
better. And because it's so much better
in delves and rituals and so on and you
have the flexibility of three specs with
different tanking pets. I guess I can
put it into B tier. It is tankier than
mage for instance. It has way more
sustain than mage. It has way more crowd
control. That's good in open world
content. Mortal Coil one of them. Uh
than mage. And curses are not that bad
either, but I feel like that one major
drawback which you're probably going to
encounter with a lot of these classes as
you level up is going to be felt the
most with Warlock which is maybe even B
tier. I feel like it's a little bit
generous. Although I love the class and
I really enjoy playing it.
Warrior is an interesting case. I think
it's definitely going to be in A tier.
And it's maybe one of the few classes
where I would super recommend playing
protection. Maybe I have a soft spot for
protection as a spec, but it's just
really good in solo content.
Warrior is above other classes that have
like no inherent sustain because it has
impending victory in the way it works
with open world content. Even if you
play DPS specs, you're more likely going
to be able to play into impending
victory, which is kind of the same thing
that rogue has right now if I think
about it with the new crimson vial
talent that gets the ability reset once
you kill a target. But impending victory
does that way more reliably. So, you can
actually play all three warrior specs.
Protection does a lot more damage than
let's say, I don't know, I guess I don't
know if it does more damage than
brewmaster. But protection warrior can
just go go go. Not to mention you can
just carry your ignore pain from one
pack to another and that's also really
good. But even if you're not going to do
that, if you're going to play fury,
you're probably the tankiest out of all
the warrior specs. If you're going to
play arms, you might be able to take one
or two targets down way quicker than all
the other warrior specs, although that's
debatable with the with the current
tuning that we have right now. But
warrior is just a juggernaut. It's very
very tanky, tankier than paladin,
weirdly enough. It doesn't have as much
sustain, but it is decently fast. Leap
is actually a really good tool in open
world content if you want to, I don't
know, jump to a bridge and you don't
want to mount cuz the mob is on the
bridge and you don't want to have to go
all the way around. It's it's just those
little things definitely do a lot of
legwork. You can charge from pack one
pack to another. If you're playing arms,
die by the sword just makes you more or
less immune to attacks for foreseeable
future. It does have a lot of utility
and a lot of good stuff going for it.
So, maybe I'm biased, let us know if you
think otherwise.
Now, shaman is a class that is a hybrid
class and hybrid class I would rank
fairly highly
as it's I I cannot put it together with
red and monk for some reason. Shaman is
just also still very squishy and they
have changed a little bit of their
tankiness. We don't have the bulwark
totem, which wasn't a great defensive in
iron but it was really good in solo
content, and you can fill in the gaps in
between pulls where you didn't have to
like stop and heal or stop and drink. My
main problem with Shaman being any
higher, and even at eight tier, maybe
I'm a little bit too generous,
is that uh the heals are very poop, and
they just deplete the mana drastically.
Enhancement probably has a little bit of
a leg up because you can juice up your
heals with Maelstrom Weapon, or what is
it called now? Overflowing Maelstrom, I
think, at the moment. So, you can just
have like really, really juicy heals.
I'm I'm pretty sure they still cost
mana, so you're still going to run out,
but you might not have to cast as many
as, let's say, Elemental would have to.
Not to mention, all Shaman specs except
Elemental have lost a Thunder's Struck.
Is that what it's called? It's not
Thunderstorm. It's not It's the knock
up. Well, it's no longer knock up, it's
just knock back. All Shaman specs lost
the knock up, actually. You do have a
lot of a lot of crowd control with
totems. You can root them with Earth
Grasp. You can slow them with Earth
Bind. You can stun them with Capacitor
Totem. Um I don't know if necessarily
fears are going to be a problem. One
thing that Shaman does have other other
class over other classes is that
Restoration is the only healer with a
kick, and kicks are actually important
in in open world content, especially if
you're playing praise once again,
because the thing that chases you around
can just be kicked. I mean, you can also
dispel it, I suppose, or purge it, which
also works, I guess. But you sometimes
might not have that that luxury to do.
It's not a bad class, and it does have a
lot of damage for solo content. It's
just not mobile, either. So, I'm I'm
still debating, but I feel like if I had
to choose which one between Mage and
Shaman would be better for solo content,
it would probably be Shaman. So, I guess
that's why it cannot be on the same tier
as Mage.
Evoker is a wild card because it has a
lot of good things that are going to
prop it up, and a lot of bad things that
are going to pull it down.
>> [gasps]
>> If I would have to solo content,
obviously I would probably play
Devastation,
no questions asked. I don't think
Augmentation can cut it.
Uh the power of Augmentation is by just
maintaining long uptimes on Evan Might,
and that's just a slow combat. And
that's mentioned that you have to
constantly be in combat to do so. It's
not impossible,
but I don't know if it's necessarily
that good considering that the Visage
can just destroy pretty much everything.
Now, of course, all DPS specs are better
with cooldowns on. You should probably
just put this up as well.
Um all DPS specs are good with cooldowns
out, but I feel like the Visage doesn't
suffer as much without cooldowns as with
other specs as well. And one thing that
Evoker has over everybody is soar, and
that it's it's not necessarily a mount.
I don't know if that helps that it's not
a mount. I mean, you still have to cast
it, but you do have glide as well. And
the overall open world crowd control is
really good. The landslide is just
insane if you accidentally found
yourself pulling too many, or if you
want to make a big pull, but you just
have to kind of kite a little bit.
That's just incredible to do.
Not to mention deep breath, stunning
everything is just peak.
>> [sighs]
>> I guess you could play preservation. I
feel like preservation has had its time
in the sun where now its damage is so
low that I don't know I don't know. I I
guess they're they're buffed. I Well,
actually, I don't know if I've seen a
preservation buff in like months now.
Not even a devastation buff, actually. I
think everybody is just focused on
augmentation, but that's mostly because
of end game.
It's also a very kind of squishy class,
and its range being
25-30 yards is is not that great as
opposed to let's say being a frost mage
and shooting a glacial spike from like
almost 40 yards away. But, despite mage,
your defenses are slightly better,
you're way more mobile, and you can
glide. So, I guess that's why we're
going to have it into A tier.
Last but not least, uh is this the king?
So, this is the hardest one to rank,
because obviously this is an S tier
spec, but how S tier is it? I think
Druid is probably still the king of solo
content, but I'm having a hard time
putting it ahead of Havoc, and this is
for a very good reason.
On paper, Druid is the best. You have
access to all ship ship forms that give
you tools for anything that happens in
combat. You can pretty much play all
specs, even the healer spec. This is the
other here that I that I was mentioning
that has really good damage cuz you can
just owl weave or cat weave with resto.
Of course, you're not going to do as
much damage as feral or balance, but you
can do that while never having to worry
about dying cuz your heals are going to
keep you up. Not to mention, you can
even play talents that convert damage
into healing, which right now are pretty
strong, but they're probably going to
get nerfed. The only reason why I'm
hesitant in putting it ahead of Havoc is
because Havoc is tuned to a point where
even though it doesn't have actual
heals, even though it's a DPS specs and
it's not a tank, it's tuned just above
where that would matter. And that's
mainly it. If Havoc would would have
been slightly squishier, if Havoc's
leech would be slightly weaker, I think
Druid would hands down be the king right
now. But because and I I don't know if
if we should rank these based off of
tuning. I think Druid is still going to
be ahead because you have a lot more
specs that are going to be good at solo
content as opposed to the Demon Hunter
that just has the Vengeance. If, for
instance, you're a Havoc player,
you're the best. You don't care. But if
you're a Vengeance player, you're going
to struggle more. So, that kind of
difference in perspective will probably
see Druid overall, by and large, be a
better class to solo content. But what
do you think? Let us know in the comment
section down below. What has your
experience been with soloing some of
content because I've had some of the
easiest time and some of the hardest
time this season. Uh and I'm talking
about uh Demonology, of course. And uh
by the way,
you can watch our Demonology video
because that's one of the videos that we
made to talk about what it means to
change your main. Well, I didn't really
change, I just picked another one. And
what it means to play meta class and how
you learn from it and how you improve
and how that affects your overall, let's
say, enjoyment of end-game content.
