## Summary

This video analyzes a highly volatile trading day in the Brazilian mini-index and dollar markets, driven by geopolitical tensions between the US and Iran. The presenter, Norton, demonstrates two key strategies for trending days: VWAP bands and moving average crossovers on the 5-minute chart, and reviews the broader market impact on oil, gold, and US indices.

### Key Points

- **Monday Volatility and Geopolitical Context** [00:01] — Monday is typically volatile due to accumulated weekend news. Today, US-Iran tensions drove oil prices up 5%, leading to a strong downtrend in the mini-index.
- **Market Snapshot** [01:10] — Mini-index down ~1.77% (about 3,000 points), dollar up 0.3%, Vale down 2%, Petrobras up 3% benefiting from oil price rise. US indices: S&P 500 -0.5%, Nasdaq -1.4%, gold -2%.
- **Key Economic Events This Week** [03:48] — US inflation data (CPI) on Tuesday at 9:30 AM, producer price inflation on Wednesday, and other data on Friday. These will influence interest rate decisions and market direction.
- **Trump's Tariff Announcement Triggers Drop** [04:58] — At 10:30 AM, Trump announced new tolls on ships passing through a narrowed bridge, causing the mini-index to plummet. The presenter emphasizes checking volatility via VWAP bands.
- **Trading with VWAP Bands** [06:22] — VWAP bands indicate support (green) and resistance (red). On trending days, price respects these bands. The presenter executed two trades on the first and second bands, using True Range for stop-loss sizing (400 points and 150 points respectively).
- **Moving Average Crossover Strategy** [08:08] — Uses three confirmations: 1) crossover of 6/20 or 7/21 exponential moving averages, 2) two bearish candles confirming the crossover, 3) MACD turning red. Entry on pullback to the short-term moving average, stop 100 points above the 20-period MA, target 1:1.
- **Shifted Moving Averages** [11:22] — Shifted MAs (9-period exponential) anticipate trends earlier. Used on volatile days. The presenter shows a sell entry after crossover, two bearish candles, and MACD red, with stop above the shifted MA.
- **International Market Analysis** [13:24] — Oil up 6.5% to ~$83/barrel. Most global assets down: Nikkei -2%, Nasdaq -1.5%, gold -2.11%, silver -2.5%, Bitcoin -2%. The presenter recommends traditional MAs for US markets due to clearer trends.
- **Gold and Oil Trading Notes** [17:08] — Gold and oil do not respect VWAP bands well; moving average crossovers or price action patterns like inside bars are preferred. Gold broke the first VWAP band but returned.

### Conclusion

The video provides actionable strategies for trading volatile trending days, emphasizing VWAP bands and moving average crossovers with strict confirmations. The presenter also highlights the importance of monitoring geopolitical and economic news for market direction.

## Transcript

from Wall Street Invest. Welcome to the Denares de Trade video. And Monday is always a very good day to trade, because on Monday all the news, the movements, the negotiations that happened over the
weekend, especially outside of Brazil, accumulate and end up manifesting themselves on Monday. And it's the day that tends to be a more volatile day, Sure, there will be days when the market is slower, like a holiday or something like that
in the United States. But today was a day when the market was incredibly active . This was to be expected, as the United States and Iran resumed exchanging barbs over the weekend, and oil prices rose by more than 5%. At that
this morning when I did my live stream, the index was practically at 0 to 0, and right after lunch prices skyrocketed, because the president of the United States stated that he is again going to impose a lot of
tariffs on Iranian oil. They're going to close the section Arab Emirates is a partner of the United States and they're not going to let any ships through, and the price of oil will start to rise again. While right now here in Brazil the mini
index is down about 1.77%, which is roughly around 3,000 roughly around 3,000 points. Dor rises 0.3%, Vale falls 2%, Petrobras rises 3%. In reality, Petrobras benefits by eating into the price
of oil in the Middle East. The US indices, the S&P 500, are down 0.5%, while the Nasdaq is the biggest faller, currently down 1.4%. Gold is down 2%, and now that's also happening with the gold mod. And today, folks, since it
was a trending day, a strong downtrend, there were several trades you could make in favor of the trend, but I'm going to select the best trade for you to make on trending days, especially Mondays, because that's the
day the market usually experiences big trend movements as well, okay? So let's get to today's video. And before we go, folks, the law course starts tomorrow. Right there, live. There are only a few spots left. The link is in the description of
this video. My phone number is right here on the screen so you can actually operate it and learn how to operate it. It starts tomorrow at 7 PM and there are still spots available, okay? It includes lifetime support and you can retake the course directly with me and Suda. And
next week the international American market trading course begins, and via the same phone number. So let's get to today's video. Leave a like, subscribe to the channel, and turn on notifications so you don't miss a thing, because
we have new videos every day here on the channel. So let's watch today's video, and Criticism, praise, and suggestions are always very welcome. Let's get to B3 market, trading on the Profit Pro platform, from the Touro brokerage,
do the same operations here in Brazil, video. Here we have the mini- index chart, and you can see that it's clean chart, without any indicators. And there was this
very strong trend movement here. There was this huge drop here. If we factor in the gap, it was a drop of approximately 3,000 points, right? Without accounting for the gap, just looking at the difference between the high and the low, it was roughly 2800,
2900 points, okay? If we look at the main assets of this week, which make up the mini-index, Petrobras is up 3%, with Pril rising 3.5%, driven by the increase in with Pril rising 3.5%, driven by the increase in oil prices, Vale is down 2%,
Itaú 1.6%, Bradesco 0.5%, Eletrobras 3.02%, Veg, BTG 1.4%. Then, last Friday, the market surged. Men are shooting up, stocks are shooting up, right? But
now the market is back on its feet, everything that went up last Friday is falling back down, right? The market is returning to reality. Whether we like it or not, folks, this data is very important. But this week,
folks, if we look at the economic calendar, it will be a week of very important decisions and news releases . The US inflation figures will be released tomorrow at 9:30 AM. If it goes down,
fall. Lower inflation, lower interest rates. Lower interest rates mean the stock market falls further. It's a chain reaction. We have producer price inflation on Wednesday, we'll have important, but it does end up having a slight impact. And we'll have the
Friday. So, a lot of economic data will be released throughout this week, okay? And besides, it's also my birthday week, okay? So, uh, so pay attention tomorrow, folks,
at 9:30 AM, because the market tends to experience significant volatility, and this will define the direction of the next interest rate decisions in the United States, which directly affects Brazil, okay? So, today the mini-index, the mini-dollar,
we look at the mini-index today, folks, we can see that up stock market in the United States, here in Brazil, it was practically at 0 to 0. Even practically at a standstill. There weren't any major fluctuations at that time.
on Financial Juice, which is the website where you can find the main sources and news. And at 10:30 in the morning, Trump in the United States stated on his social network that he will charge tolls for those who pass through the
narrowed bridge and will close some places again. And with that, the president of Brazil said he's going to engage in piracy. Right, right there in the strait, and you won't pay the taxes there, the fees applied. And that caused quite a
stir in the market, and the minimum price plummeted right after this news was released here in Brazil, okay? So, people often ask me, Norton, what do in these situations? The important thing is to check the volatility he's
experiencing, whether the market is fluctuating, and if he's already broken through the first VOAP band. If the green or the red band, which are these we could say, that means the market is more volatile. If you
first band of VOAP, forget it, the market is sideways, it's not calmer. But today, since he broke through the first VAP band, it's a more serious market, it's a more serious movement. So much so that he almost reached
the third wave of decline. It had been a long time since the price reached the third downward band, right? And that's bad news for the market. The market has practically reversed all the gains it made last Friday. So,
folks, what do you do in these situations? You can operate the Vap Bands So much so that he made an appearance here in the first VOAP band. Those who like to buy at the green VAUAP level, because it forms a support region, and sell at the
red lines, red VOAP levels, which form resistance lines, meaning the price has difficulty breaking through each of these respective bands, both on the upside and on these respective bands, both on the upside and on the downside, right? Regarding the
downward movement here as well, right? So I always like band. So, every time I give the first touch to each band, I usually the first and second bands, two operations were necessary. Those who bought here use the
True Hand significator to measure the stop-loss size, right? It's a good idea to ideal stop-loss size. And the true range at the time was showing around 400 points. So, I would make a buy order here, with a target of 400 points proportional to the price and a
proportional stop loss as well. Here too, on the first beat of the second band here at Keno 55, there was a purchase, right? The target range at the time was much lower, it was scoring 150 points, the
minimum target was also 150 points, which would be more or less here. And the stop loss is proportional, one to one. So there were two wave operations today and two games without much trouble. Hey Norton, is it possible to rejoin
the first one, or if I missed the first gig, can I rejoin? He can. Ideally, it shouldn't hit once, but then break the second time, okay? It's the second The third band has the best accuracy rate. He usually hits and bounces
back. It's very difficult for him to break through the third band without looking back, which is usually the third band that has the most purchases, the most respect, respect these regions very well too, okay? Okay folks, even the title of
asking: "What's the best strategy for trading moving average crossovers?" Especially me, since I like to trade on the 5-minute chart. Guys, I use three confirmations to enter a moving average crossover, okay? These
three have to agree. When it's a day of high volatility, a day when the market moves a lot, a day when the market picks up a trend more quickly, I usually use shifted moving averages. However, I will
and the traditional moving averages . Traditional moving averages are the combination of 6, 20, 7, 21, and 921, both exponential.
Shifted moving averages are nine-period moving averages, both exponential, . Let's start with the traditional ones. The averages crossed earlier in the day, right? Two bearish candles, 13 and 14,
confirming the crossover. And the McDonald's in the default configuration is 26 129. Why do I use 26 129? Because it operates on the 5-minute chart. For those operating on two or three MACD parameters, they would use 55269, which is another type of MACD parameter. And I put in a
coloring rule, it's called the 2 MV standard here in MACG to make it easier to read. So let's go. It crossed down, two corners of the fall, the 13th and the 14th. And the two confirmations, the crossing is the first confirmation. The second
confirmation consists of two bearish candles in favor of the crossover. And the third confirmation will indeed be MCD, okay ? So, if the MCED isn't red right after the second candle formation, that is, on the third
candle, I don't enter. So, like in this case, look, candle 15, the McD was white, which is a color of indecision. And my entry will always of the crossing. So, the sell entry point is when the price returns to the moving average, in this
look for the pullback at the short-term moving average. In this case, the purple color here is the 100-period exponential moving average. Stop 100 points above the 20-period moving average, which would be roughly here, and a proportional target of one to one, okay? So, looking here at
candle 16, the stop game is also proportional. In this case, the entry was on candle 16. The game was reached on candle 18. I usually make two turned red again here on the 508, it triggered an entry here on the 508, with a stop
loss 100 points above the 20-period moving average , which would be roughly here, and a proportional target of one to one. Since the market did n't have huge, gigantic candles, I usually leave a 100-point margin above the 20-period moving average to
avoid a whipsaw. A "violined" price movement is when the price forces you out of the trade because your stop loss was too tight, and then it moves towards your target, right? Yeah, but leave 200 points. Today was such a volatile day, but it was respecting
the averages very well, so it was more relaxed. Hey Norton, if every time the a new entry, as long as the MCD is in red? It could. I didn't, okay ? Because you never know when the market will change its trend. I
usually make two sell entries per crossover. Two sales entries per crossing, right? So, uh, I would expect to make a new crossing. What I did right with traditional moving averages and switched to offset moving averages was...
There's a new intersection here at K19. We have Kle20 in red here, right? However, it would have to be two falling candles. It crossed again here on Kandle 24, right? Then, it crossed downwards, two falling corners, 24 25. MCD in
red and entry when the price returns to the moving average, the non-displaced one, which in this case is green, the displaced one is fuchsia. When the offset is above the green line, it crossed downwards, uh, two 24-25 MCD falling kendos in red, entry
when the price returns to the average and 100 points above the shifted moving average, points above the shifted moving average, which would be more or less here. OK. Hey, did you make another entry here on the keno 37? Were you able to make other
entries here as well? That's enough, right? But it's much riskier to always make a maximum of two apply this to any other assets as well, folks . It's not possible to trade in a Today it even showed a hint of an upward trend around 1 PM, at 1
PM, but then it died down, right? It happened three times, two days in a row. trying to trade, for example, moving average crossovers, whether they're shifted or not. The enormous. In that case, what do you do? You use a slow stochastic oscillator, right? Operating on
extremes, operating on maxima and minima. That's the ideal, okay? This is the best of both worlds, we could say , right? So, for those who traded Japanese Bands, it went well, for those who traded moving average crossovers, it went well, right?
Mainly by taking advantage of this trend, okay? So, if doing the data trading with stocks also works very well, as the very interesting movements,
day trading, right? On the 5- minute chart, for example, it also works the same way. I only have VIP groups who don't trust the stock market very much, because the than an index, right? So, if you use, for example, crossover and moving average, using a
. Remember, stock market trading is only for sideways markets. So, tomorrow the volatile depending on the news that will be released in the United States. The market could rise again, return to where it was, or plummet even further, also driven
by the conflict in the Middle East , okay? Now I'm going to analyze the international market where you can do very similar operations to those here in beginning of this video, this analysis video, that oil was rising 5%
and now it's already rising 6.5% and returning to around 83 per barrel. This actually uses oil, and what is the oil branch that is used as a reference for Petrobras in its pricing? There are two types of oil, WTI from
Texas, United States, and the latter is used by Brazil as a reference. So the oil branch is skyrocketing. This creates buyer pressure here at oil prices surged sharply closer to lunchtime, because until then they
had been falling, right? It was 77, basically the same price as Friday. And then the market took off, right? The market was expected global overview, the only major asset that is rising is oil. Japanese Nike
falls 2%, Nasdaq 1.5%, S&P 500%, Hong Kong drops 0.3%, gold also falls sharply by approximately 2.11%. Silver is down 2.5%, Bitcoin is down 2%, you
sharply today, driven by uncertainty regarding politics in the war in the Middle East. That's why the S&P 5 also fell by 5%, and the NASDAC, which is the environmental index, fell by 1.5%, which is a more volatile index because it depends
's a very volatile asset, right? Gold falls 2%, nearing 4,000 per ounce. For those entering the gold market, this internationally, I'm using the Black AO platform, the one
you see here, similar to Profit, right? I use FX Global's coverage, which I description, in case you want to download Black Air; if you have a balance of $ or more, the platform becomes free. Just make a small transaction of 1 microlot per month and
in both a demo account and a real account if you want, okay? So, at this moment, we'll use shifted moving averages, right? Given that it was a more volatile day, it made sense, but I much prefer using traditional moving averages
Why? Because he tends to follow trends much more than here in Brazil. In Brazil, it's more volatile; it goes up and down faster. It's much more common for me to United States I use traditional pinstripes because the market there follows a
much clearer trend, so to speak, okay? So, if I look at the traditional moving averages, there was a crossover around 11:30 in the morning, two bearish candles, the 13, one at 140 and the other at 141. Wait, 140, 141. The moving average only turned
141. Wait, 140, 141. The moving average only turned red around the 150 candle, right? It was number 143 here, it also gave entries for numbers 145, 150, and 151, right? And there was some good downward movement here, it went sideways, but it didn't quite
cross the averages, right? And now it's hit us hard here, keep track of the same market, even if you don't want to trade abroad, but having a international market can sometimes make your trading easier, giving you
That's why here at Austria, in the course on the macroeconomics, about international analysis, I talk about oil, I talk about all of that, right? Both the American market and the Forex market. So,
very interesting one for you to get a sense of what the market is [snoring] use "displaced" if I wanted to? It worked too, but the entry was a little earlier, right? Number 139 here. Yeah, the entrance to the sale here at 143 looks
pretty similar. The wind entrance, 152, came a little earlier. Vendic entered the market on candle 159, but it didn't change that much, did it? Right? So common for crosses, which is why it picks up an early trend. That's why
talking about anticipating trends. For those who use a shifted moving average, you can anticipate the movement many times over, because the crossover also happens earlier, okay? Great, awesome! Well, so gold, for example, here in Brazil,
good asset to trade using shifted moving averages today . I don't like using Vap Bands on gold because it doesn't respect the oil, today. It's okay to use it; if you want to trade with mods, trade moving
average crossovers, trade a price inside bar, which is a pattern I really like, trade Fibonacci, but don't trade the bands because the market doesn't respect them, especially gold and oil, okay? But his performance is much better; he's
the first VIAP band right away here on candle 164, around 1:30 PM, and it came back, and those who used a different range on the 20-period scale did very well too, okay? without major fluctuations, right? For those who use oppression to promote trends, it
So, tomorrow I'll get straight to the point, you can still register, there are still spots available, the American market course starts next week, and registration to everyone who watched me. Don't forget to like and comment
the video, criticisms, praise, because I understand whether you're enjoying it or not. And also, of course, things to further improve my channel. Suggestions are also very welcome, okay? Thank you all very much, and until
okay? Thank you all very much, and until next time.
