## Summary

This video presents a tier list of World of Warcraft specs for solo and pick-up group (PUG) content in the Midnight season 2 patch, focusing on specs that feel good to play and can carry messy groups. The creator, Scott from The Comeback Kids, evaluates specs based on their performance in Delves, Prey, and the upcoming Labyrinths, prioritizing fun and practicality over spreadsheet rankings.

### Key Points

- **Introduction and Criteria** [00:01] — The video focuses on specs that feel good to play and can carry in messy PUG groups, not just top spreadsheet performers. It covers solo content like Delves, Prey, and the upcoming Labyrinths.
- **Warlock: Top Solo/PUG Spec** [02:40] — All three warlock specs are performing well. Affliction is great for Mythic Plus due to easy DoT spread, Destruction excels in single target but can be awkward in PUGs due to Rain of Fire placement, and Demonology is the weakest but still viable with a pet tank. Warlocks have a strong defensive toolkit and are excellent for solo content.
- **Arms Warrior: Fun and Strong** [05:07] — Arms Warrior is highlighted as a fun, high-damage spec for solo content, though it may struggle in long boss fights. It's needed for melee cleave comps due to the attack power buff and is a safe choice for PUGs.
- **Death Knight: Safest Pick** [07:46] — All three Death Knight specs are S-tier or A+ tier. Frost and Unholy have strong 45-second cooldown windows, and Blood is the meta tank. Death Knights are incredibly tanky, making them nearly unkillable in Delves, though they move slowly.
- **Demon Hunter: Havoc for Solo, Devour for PUGs** [09:34] — Havoc is excellent for solo content due to self-sustain and instant damage, while Devour is great for Mythic Plus but poor in Delves. Vengeance is not performing well.
- **Paladin: All Three Specs Shine** [11:45] — Holy, Retribution, and Protection are all performing well. Holy has a strong caster build, Protection can carry groups with its utility and damage, and Retribution is easy to play. Paladins bring incredible utility, making them highly desirable in PUGs.
- **Elemental Shaman: Utility and Burst** [14:26] — Elemental Shaman brings bloodlust, crowd control, and high burst damage, making them invaluable for Mythic Plus and Delves. Their personal bloodlust is a huge advantage in solo content.
- **Beast Mastery Hunter: Best for AFK Solo** [16:12] — Beast Mastery is the best spec for pure solo content like Delves and open-world farming, as the pet tanks everything and the rotation is simple. However, it's not great for Mythic Plus.
- **Windwalker Monk: High Damage, Low Defense** [17:06] — Windwalker has incredible damage and mobility, but the worst defensive toolkit in the game. It can carry keys in the 10-12 range but is sketchy in high-end content. Mobility is key to survival.
- **Feral Druid: Stealth and Mobility** [19:08] — Feral Druid offers high mobility, good damage, and stealth, which allows skipping half of a Delve. It's great for solo content but mid-tier for Mythic Plus.

### Conclusion

The video concludes that the best specs for solo and PUG content are those that offer a combination of survivability, utility, and fun, with Warlock, Death Knight, and Paladin being top recommendations. The creator personally favors Assassination Rogue for the challenge and stealth playstyle, and reminds viewers that Labyrinths arrive in 8 weeks.

Warcraft the same way I do. You log in, try to get some things done, plug a have some fun without everything becoming a headache. As I've gotten a lot of time or even the patience to deal with meta this and meta that,
playing the game like it's a job. So, in best specs in Midnight right now heading into season 2 for people who like to play solo or jumping into some pickup groups. And no, I'm not simply talking
about what ranks the highest on a spreadsheet or performs the best inside talking about specs that feel good to play, can carry inside of messy pug some progress when you're playing completely solo through things like
Delves, Prey, and eventually Midnight introducing Labyrinths. These are the, uh, you know, massive sprawling mega Delves designed to be completed over a period of time gradually at your own pace next patch, which are really,
inspiration for this video. This next part of the video is sponsored by Zombie Waves. And if you guys like games where you start off weak, you stack up something completely broken, and then you watch the entire screen just turn

So, starting off with the first one, guys, honestly, this sounds like a big surprise, but we have warlock in general. Um, all three specs for warlock over the last couple months, they just started performing exceptionally well
over on the PTR. Tons of additions to affliction to increase their priority damage, which I would say makes them maybe I average to slightly above average in priority target damage in single target, which is quite nice. I
will say destruction warlock right now takes the cake in pure single target good, but you do have to know there's so much cleave going on in the raid that god tier with seed of corruption
spamming and dot spread right now. So, that in general is great for both those specs. Demonology is doing okay-ish. I think that is the worst performing spec of the three, but if we're talking about solo in pug content, of course,
your felguard. He can go in there, he can tank delves for you, he can tank prey for you. You just drain life, it'll heal him and you up at the same time. all the work, and you're pretty much good to go when it comes to a solo
gameplay content standpoint. Now, I will say when it comes to pugs, destruction considering that rain of fire is kind of a pain in the ass to play with because and all the mobs to be stuck in your rain of fire, but you don't know what
what kind of pulls they're doing. They could be doing completely different stuff. So, destruction can be a little bit of a pain. That's why I think for comes to Mythic Plus, I do think affliction is going to be the way to go.
Very easy to just dot everything up with agony and pretty much just spam seed of down. And with your single target being a lot better, yeah, warlock looks like a really good spec so far when it comes to just solo and pug DPS. And I think they
are pretty much check every box you might need. Also, warlock in general has phenomenal defensive toolkit, unending resolve, hellstone whenever you need. You have your dark packed and then you have your soul burn into drain life. And
have your dark harvest, which is like pretty much on a 30-second cool down think overall, guys, when it comes to solo pug content, warlock is one of the best in the game. Great defensive toolkit, good utility enough to where
battle res and hellstone, which is quite nice. Great for delves and labyrinths cuz you have your pets and things like that. Great sustainability. I like warlock a lot in solo content. Most likely going to be my option heading
ladies and gentlemen, a ginormous surprise on this list. One aspect that I think is just a really cool to play completely solo. Got to be arms warrior, man. Arms warrior for me takes the cake as probably the coolest spec to play
there with your big two-handed sword completely alone, no healer, no nothing, and just smash the place. Now, I would say they could struggle maybe a tad bit in long duration boss fights for things like maybe delves and pray because of
high as some of the other specs on this list, but their damage is out of control right now. And I would say because you're able to swap specs whether it be for delves or prey whenever you want, you can go into full single target, you
and clearing out the delve, and warrior will be just fine. Now, I will say also, to be in labyrinth, whether we're going to be allowed to have Valera or not. It's most likely we're going to have her. So, your sustainability should be
okay. I'm more worried about is arms warrior going to scale throughout the season. Blizzard loves to do this thing where arms warrior they do really well ground. Very rarely will they just let arms warrior be good and [ __ ] and be
good for content. Overall though, I I love solo and pugging for arms warrior. I think it's really fun to go in there, pure solo content, no casting, you just charge in and you deal damage. There's no prep time, there's no casting a bunch
of spells like warlock or maybe mage or some of these other classes in the game. damage and it's very easy to just pick up. It's also a very cool class fantasy. where you I like I don't have any magical powers or anything, I'm going in
smashing the place up, which I really enjoy. Now, I will say from solo content, that's that perspective, but if we're talking about grouping, I do think arms warrior is going to be amazing this season as well. First and foremost,
now. Even after the nerfs and everything, their damage is still substantially higher than most classes in the game. They're also needed for every melee cleave comp in the game because you need the attack power buff.
some of their other things as well as crowd control. So, right now, just for this season so far, arms warrior takes the cake as just one of the best DPS going to be really fun for solo and pug content. The damage is there, the
have Valera as a healer. I think overall you're needed for every group comp in to be great. So, very safe choice, awesome, super fun as well, great class fantasy. Moving on next, death knight in general is looking amazing this season
for solo content. If there is a really safe option out there, I would say Deathknight is probably the safest pick in the entirety of the game. I mean, Frost Deathknight 45-second cooldown windows are just second to none when it
you're doing on a Frost Deathknight, you will just nuke packs all on your own. Not only that, Unholy similar scenario right now. I think a lot of people are playing the sand lane build over on the PTR, um but even then, 45-second
dark transformation is looking really, really good. Blood Beast is doing good damage. Uh all your other hero talent procs are doing really good as well. And I think Unholy is just pretty much picking up right where they left off
the list is Blood Deathknight. I mean, Blood Deathknight is the meta tank right now. They're the go-to guy. So, that makes three specs that are either in S tier or A+ tier. And uh yeah, I would say that's pretty ridiculous. Also, if
you combine the fact that for just pure solo content in general, like you're so tanky as a Deathknight, it's incredibly difficult for you to die in delves. Now, I will say they're a little bit annoying cuz you move slow through delves. Like,
in the ass trying to, you know, maneuver and get through all them cuz you just Deathknight, but they're they're just so safe, man. They don't die. The damage is incredible. Great for delve content because you just line everyone up. You
you grip them all in and then you have your 45-second minute cooldown windows everything and and you're looking good. So, I really like, you know, Deathknight in general for just solo and pug content, whether it be for delves, pray,
you know, we're going to find out some details on that. And then, of course, for mythic plus pugging in general, you can play one of all three specs and be perfectly fine this season. So, I think Deathknight really, really safe option.
If you're looking for something new, fresh, exciting, and just safe, like a sure hit, I would vote Death Knight here. Moving on next, we are talking about two specs from the Demon Hunter, and it is going to be Havoc and Devour.
Now, starting off with Devour, we all know Devour over the last month and well in the PTR. There was a point in time where people were playing the melee build with, um, you know, Void Scared, and it was doing quite well, but there
have been some changes to it and buffs to Collapsing Star and stuff like that. back to the Collapsing Star build on Devour, which I personally think is the cooler and more thematic option, and I
think it fits the whole design baked into the class, you know, spec better. Um, so, in that pure regard, I think they're great. I think for pugging, for Mythic Plus, they're going to be fantastic, really good, similar choice
right where they left off. My problem with Devour is that for Delves and things like Prey, I don't think they're good at all. I think they're quite terrible. But, the awesome thing about Demon Hunter is that Havoc is looking
good right now. And what does Havoc do really well? Solo content. Their self-sustain is amazing, their instant damage is very, very good. Simple class to play and pick up. So, Havoc Demon Hunter in things like Delves, Prey, and
potentially Labyrinths are looking to dominate. Also, Havoc Demon Hunters got like Essence Break, their base abilities, and a bunch of other crap, and their damage is looking really good. Now, as good as Devour? No. But, as long
as it's somewhat competeable, like, that's a great spec to play for just solo content. You go in there, you press your buttons, [ __ ] will just die. Your heal you through everything, and you're going to move through Delves and Prey
system very, very quickly and have no problem through solo content. Not only that, I do think Havoc has potential to be played in Mythic Plus. Overall, Demon Hunter is going to do just fine. I don't really know about Vengeance. I
don't think they're doing too well right now. So, in that regard, both these DPS specs are great for solo content, especially I would say Havoc for pure Labyrinth. So, with that being said, I think Demon Hunter is doing really good.
Moving on next to Paladin. Believe it or not, guys, this is another spec where we're talking about in general here. All three specs, top to bottom, Holy, Retribution, and Protection are doing fantastic on the PTR so far. I do think
the highlight of this, you know, whole class right now is surprisingly Holy. Uh, the Holy caster build is doing phenomenal from what I've seen on the I think it's something like you you use your Holy Light spender and it procs
tossing out these nuclear Flash of Lights and it's just it's popping off. So, when it comes to Mythic Plus and rating, I do think it has potential well. Protection Paladin, we all know they're there for their, you know,
amazing utility and incredible damage. And things will start to struggle for end of keys when the defensives aren't as high as like some of the other specs, which if you're playing solo pug and you're just chilling, it shouldn't
about being meta, but they're just performing well. And the thing is is when you're a Protection Paladin, you pretty much have the capability to carry a group entirely alone. You have all of your defensive capabilities, which are
fine. You have your off heals, you have Lay on Hands, you have incredibly high damage as a Prot Paladin tank. You have great utility with your kicks and can carry a dungeon entirely on your own
then, of course, when we go into solo content like Prey, Delves, Labyrinth, defensive capabilities are going to come in handy really well. Not only that, you could also have the option what I've been doing this last season was I would
go on my Protection Paladin and I would actually just be tank and then have my Valera assigned as a DPS and I would just pull everything, not be able to for me. That was really fun. I also did on a holy paladin that way as well. So,
paladin in general and how you want to play in solo-based content, which I find retribution is of course doing quite well, one of the easier specs to play in the entire game. DPS is I would say above average in general.
Um not the best DPS spec out there, but you bring incredible utility. And if we're talking about pug groups and you know, wanting to get invites, paladin, for you to invite them with all their battle resses, lay on hands, freedoms,
blessing of protection, uh cleanse and stuff like that. So, paladin brings a lot, very easy argument for me to want and to invite a paladin into my group. regard, they're really really good for things like that. And I think paladin is
absolutely going to shine this season when it comes to content in general, but general, they're going to do really really well with just how much they Moving on next, specifically when it comes to shaman, we are going to talk
about elemental. Look, I I think this is very simple, guys. Similar concept to paladin. Their utility and reason for wanting elemental is just through the roof. They have bloodlust, they bring all their utility, good crowd control,
good control for uh you know, mobs and packs and stuff. Also, you have your invaluable this season for things like mythic plus. And I would say for delves elemental shaman is having that personal bloodlust and the fact that shaman is
the highest burst cooldown class in the game whenever you need it. So, for taking down bosses and things like prey, delves, we'll see what goes on with labyrinths. It's actually quite fun and rather trivial in a way. The only thing
defensive toolkit, and we'll talk about another class like that in just a second when we get into it. But I think shaman elemental is really really good for it's easy for me to want to invite an
everything they bring. They bring their group buff, they bring their blood lust, they bring their incredible utility toolkit, they've been poison cleansing, on boss fights when you need it on certain moments. I love that. And then
everything like that, all of that combined with the you know, powerful whenever you need. Yeah, they should move quite well through those boss toughest encounters. So, I like elemental shaman a lot. I think they're
really fun, amazing builds this season with far sear and I think their tier set are looking amazing for that also. Really find them enjoyable. The numbers are looking good. Top to bottom, I really like elemental. They just get
They They just get slightly nerfed last week, but they're still going to perform just fine. Moving on next, we have beast mastery hunter. Now, listen, I'm saying this specifically for people out there who just want to do solo content, turn
off their brain, and just AFK, beast mastery is the way to go. I don't actually think this spec is doing that well like mythic plus. Their damage is very consistent, but it's just it's not breaking the meters here. Not only that,
you don't bring too much utility. So, I'm adding beast mastery to this list simply because they're the best spec in the game for just like specifically solo base content. We're talking prey, delves, labyrinths, open world farming,
like heroic world tier, they're just great. Your pet Your pet will just tank everything and you're just sitting back pressing two buttons while you're watching podcast on the second screen. So, I think beast mastery is cool for
out there who love doing things like that and playing beast mastery course, we got to have the honorable And last but not least, man, this is a really, really big surprise, guys. Don't
this is important we talk about this spec. Really fun for solo content. I got to go with wind walker monk, man. Wind walker monk is always either complete hit or miss heading into a new season. The reason for that is simply because
their damage can be either really, really good or just dog [ __ ] And right now, Windwalker numbers are honestly quite solid, decent damage when it comes to single target if you're in a Mythic Plus build, incredible AoE damage
surprisingly the last couple weeks, which is kind of out of nowhere, which bonuses are good enough. My biggest problem with Windwalker guys, and this is a big one, their defensive toolkit is
the worst in the entire game. And that's especially a problem if you're a melee DPS that wears a leather. If you get hit by any physical based attacks, you're we're talking about the highest end of content, Windwalker is very sketchy.
But, we're making a video and not on that, the solo pug tier list. I think Windwalker can do so much damage and they can absolutely carry groups in the keys from 10 to 12 range, no problem. Not only that,
Windwalker monk is incredibly fun in things like delves, pray, and hopefully running through there, they can super speed through the entire place, nuke all
probably faster than anybody on this entire list. My one problem is that things can get quite sketchy on boss fights because your defensive capability is absolute ass. You have to know how to use your mobility on a Windwalker to
have Valera pop her potions for you, and then go back [clears throat] in. It's an as you know how to do that, you'll be just fine. Um my only problem is from struggle with survivability, but it doesn't even matter. This video is about
solo pug tier list. I think their damage is amazing, mobility second to none, and it's going to be really consistent and fast for you to go through all of this solo content in the end game, which is personally why I vote Windwalker one of
the highest in the game. And then lastly, ladies and gentlemen, for the video, I'm actually going to put Feral Druid. Now, I like Feral Druid simply because they bring similar things to what Windwalker brings, very high
mobility, good damage when you need it in AoE, incredible cooldowns and usage, strong tier set bonuses, but they bring stealth. And I don't know if you guys play, you know, rogues or whoever inside of delves, but having stealth can
literally have you skip like half of the delve and just focus on the objectives and get it done in like 5 to 8 minutes. I do it all the time on my assassination rogue. I literally just skip the entirety of the delve and just do what I
got to do and get the hell out of there. What I really like about Feral Druid is that when they pop their cooldowns, their damage is phenomenal. And because you're usually buying the clock through
the next pack. When you're When you finally arrive to the next pack, you cooldown should be pretty much ready to go, and that's solid as well. Their mobility is also amazing. Their self-healing is good enough to where you
could survive. Um I like Feral Druid in solo content a lot. My issue is that for Mythic Plus, Feral Druid is a little bit sketchy. I mean, they're typically used, of course, for melee cleave comps, but they're not
doing the best right now. They're pretty mid-tier. Um so, we'll have to see if they end up making it to the melee cleave comp. Usually, you're looking for something like Arms Warrior, Windwalker Monk, Elemental Shaman, maybe Resto
tank for the season, which is most likely going to be like Windwalkers Death Knight. So, we'll see if Feral Druid makes that comp. Either way, for Mythic Plus. I would say the highlight for them, the reason I'm
adding them for honorable mention, really good for things like delves, are so powerful. You could stealth past everything. Really good versatility for swapping in and out of forms if you need to survive. I like Feral Druid in that
to do just fine this season, and I'm really excited to maybe try them out for and gentlemen, whether you're pushing keys without a coordinated team, clearing difficult solo content, or eventually taking on labyrinths, these
are the specs that I think I would recommend to you all to sort of have the best chance of succeeding and having fun without needing a perfect group of anybody in general. I like a lot of these picks here. Personally, I'm
looking at things like assassination rogue, even though it's difficult to play, and I'm probably going to hate myself for it, but I like the challenge specifically. I like that class fantasy of stealthing through, exploring the
entirety of the delve, maybe checking out labyrinths, and going through the entire freaking ginormous thing of it. And remember, labyrinths come out in 8 weeks from now, so that's going to be really fun to
check out. I'm sure it's going to be on the PTR in the next 3-4 weeks. I'm the video. Let me know what you guys are considering maining down in the comment section below. My name is Scott from The Comeback Kids. I'll see you in the next
