So, Mirage is an absolute fan favorite
map and one of the most played maps all
across CS2. So, in today's video, I'm
going to show off the ultimate utility
that you need to know when you're
playing Mirage to make your games a
little bit better and hopefully should
end up winning you some more games. But
without any more yapping, let's [music]
jump in. Just a quick shout out before

Now, that's enough for me. Let's get
back to the video. So, first off, over
at A, I'm going to show you how to throw
these two smokes here to cover both
stairs and the jungle area. Most people
know the CT smoke, but a lot of people
don't know how to throw both the stairs
and jungle smoke. So, we're going to
start there. In order to throw these two
smokes, we're going to run out of spawn.
Jump up on top of this ledge here. We're
want to run all the way over until we
meet the corner of this pillar here.
Just tuck yourself all the way up in the
corner of the wood until you stop
moving. For the first smoke, we're going
to throw for jungle. And for that, we're
going to want to aim all the way up at
the top of this block here. It doesn't
have to be precise at all, as you can
kind of see in the preview on the bottom
left. Anywhere in this general location
works. I tend to just go basically a
little bit to the left of center and
then just left click throw. And then for
the stair smoke, we're going to aim all
the way down, basically straight down
from the jungle smoke. It's a little gap
in the bricks here. Once again, doesn't
have to be [music] all that precise. For
this one, you're going to left click,
right click, and jump through.
As you can see, by the time it lands,
both these areas be [music] covered
perfectly. Now, moving on while we're
still outside of a main, next is the
only flash you're going to need to know.
This flash is absolutely insane. But
we're going to run all the way out. Look
at this little door here. We're going to
want to line up in the direct middle.
this little [music] grill piece here.
And then same all the way at the top of
this lamp and left click.
>> Flashbang out.
>> As you can see, when it pops, it'll land
here. And basically, if you want a quick
and easy way to see what your flashbangs
are going to hit, you can basically just
follow the trail, line yourself up where
it pops, and anything you're looking at,
it's going to hit at least a little bit.
But as you can see, we're playing
towards the default area here. Flash
will come over. [music]
you get full blind playing triple
full blind even if we're playing all the
way back on ticket
you get blinded albeit not that much cuz
it's farther away but still crazy good
flash next we're going to throw one of
the best mollies that I know for a site
we're going to look just above the
center of this piece here all the way up
above this ledge and then just left
click throw
>> as you can see it's land on firebox
[music] and it spreads absolutely
everywhere it'll cover all of firebox
covers default and it covers ninja and
this is a molly I don't see nearly
enough people use. And now if you're on
the CT side and want a good Molly, the
absolute best Malle to throw is for a
main. We're run all the way back to
boxes [music] and CT. Want to aim above
triple at these little pillars here. As
we're running to sight, we're just going
to throw it off the pillar.
As you can see, this lines here and
it'll completely block off all the
vision from ramp. We're sitting here as
a T-side and we're trying to look for a
cross. You can see absolutely nothing.
And it basically does its job stopping
the push and it kind of acts like a
smoke for a short time. So, this one is
much better than just winging it and
throwing a molly in the general
direction. Also, this is one more tip
for my CT players on it. If you're ever
finding yourself getting smoked off like
this pretty often, there's a super easy
way to get yourself some more control,
and that's just to throw a smoke in the
middle of the site.
Now, it seems kind of boring, I know,
but as you can see, when we're walking
out to block all of your vision and
allow you to fight back [music] site and
allows you to clear angles kind of
incrementally, so as this is all smoked
off, you make sure nobody's holding you
here and kind of work your way out onto
sight. And this will make getting
yourself back in the round a little bit
easier. Now, moving over to mid. This is
where I get the most questions of what
smokes to throw. And I know after a few
updates ago, everybody's window smoke
started breaking. I'm going show you a
nice easy tip that doesn't require you
to do absolutely anything but jump
throw. Your window smoke will land every
single time. So, to do that out of
spawn, [music] we're going to run back,
tuck ourselves in the corner of these
stairs, aim all the way up under this
carpet here. We're going to look at
these little pieces. We're going to aim
not at the first one, but the second,
just right in the middle, and then jump
through.
>> As you can see, all this is flying. Got
to bounce off this ledge here and it'll
land perfectly in window. [music]
Now, yes, there are instant smoke
lineups from all different spawn
locations, but this one is really easy
for beginners to follow, and I tend to
teach this one first before going into
any of the advanced ones. So, if you
guys do want the specific [music] spawn
location ones, make sure to leave a
comment down below and I'll be sure to
go over that in the next one. Now, our
next smoke we're going to show be
showing off is for connector. There's no
connector. Instead of running into the
stairs here, we're going to want to run
into [music] your garbage can. We're
going to aim at the same rug. Instead of
these little patterns here, though,
we're going to aim all the way at this
corner [music] of the pattern, right
about here, and then just jump through.
>> This one will be the perfect connector
smoke. It lands on the second step,
which means that if you're inside of the
smoke, playing [music] on the CT side,
absolutely no gaps. You can't see
through unless you're shooting.
Likewise, if you're on the T- side, you
can see that there's absolutely full
coverage. So, if your team throws both
of these smokes, you can even throw both
of these smokes on your own. Mid control
becomes way easier. Then additionally
from the same exact location, if we want
to throw a top midsm smoke, all we have
to do tuck ourselves in the same exact
corner. Aim at the top of this down here
and then just left click throw. This one
will drop perfectly covering all of
window and even a connector. No gaps
here. Now, if we want to pair an
additional piece of util with that,
there's a crazy flash that I've seen a
lot of broke teams using. All you have
to do is stuck yourself in this corner,
aim at the top corner of this building,
and just left click throw a flash. This
pairs especially well with the midm
smoke because if you're throwing this
flash while it's up, it pops almost
inside the the smoke itself. And so
teams are taking mid control on you
pretty easy and the smokes just aren't
enough. Throwing this flash is
absolutely crazy. As you can see, it
hits absolutely everybody. This works
especially well for if you're struggling
to take mid cuz people are pushing all
the way up. As you can see, by the time
it lands, you're fully hit. But if you
want more additional util from top mid
here, if you've ever been stuck in this
situation later into the round when both
of your smokes are faded, there's a
really quick and easy way to smoke
window and also a molotop that'll show
after do the exact same job. But to
smoke it, we're going to tuck ourselves
in this corner here. Crouch and aim at
the corner here. Load it off to the
corner so you don't throw it into the
box obviously. And just left click
throw.
You want to make sure you crouch for
this one though. If you're not crouched,
it will not land. As you can see, lands
perfectly in window. Now next to do the
same thing with a molly. We're going to
want to tuck ourselves in the left
corner though. back up until this little
ledge. And for this one, I like aiming
at the second piece of the antenna here,
not the top one, but the middle one
here. And then throwing rough roughly
when it meets this little triangle. So,
we're going to hold, run, throw.
As you can see, perfect molotov. So,
this one works really well if you don't
have a smoke or for those niche
situations where you would rather have a
molotov. There are some situations like
if you have a teammate in ladder room,
you're trying to force a guy out of this
corner, things like that. Then from the
CT side, the best smoke that I know for
fighting off connector and the mid push
is after their smoke is faded or if they
don't even smoke it, you know they're
going to be pushing mid. You just want
to stand in the general area here. It
does not have to be perfect at all. Then
you just want to look at this corner
here and just throw a smoke into it. It
really is that easy. And as you can see,
it kind of gives you almost a oneway.
And if T-side hasn't seen you do this
whole game, it's a really easy way to
catch them off guard, especially if
they're pushing cat. [music]
You can even play lower down on the
stairs here. Wait for them to peek, kind
of try and tap some meds. Not really the
best piece of view tool, I would say,
but I do notice a lot of connector
players just getting completely caught
[music] off guard and trying to hold
this angle, this angle, and cat. If
you're looking for an easier way to do
that, this smoke will help you. Moving
over to B, we're going to start off with
two smokes for the B site. That's going
to be these two smokes here. One for
market door and one for market window.
These two smokes, similar to the A
smokes, are going to be from the exact
same location. It's going to be super
easy to get to. All we're going to want
to do, though, is run out of TV room.
Tuck ourselves in this corner here.
First one's going to be for market
window. You basically just follow this
line [music] all the way straight up.
Then we're gonna want to aim at the
first corner of this little piece of the
building here and then jump throw. And
then for window, we're going to aim down
to the right until we meet this corner
here and then jump throw.
As you can see, when they both land,
they drop two perfect market smokes.
This one does spread pretty deep inside
of market window itself, so it really
stops people from trying to push
through. Same with the door smoke. As
you can see, this [music] is absolutely
insane coverage that you get from this.
There's two really easy to throw
molotovs that I'm going to show. First
one is going to cover [music] both top
and underneath by van. We're going to
line ourselves up in this corner here as
we're running out. You're going to aim
at this little line in the wall and then
just [music] up to the top to this piece
here and left click throw. It really is
that easy. As you can see, this covers
all of the bal even into this corner
here where a lot of people hide and it
covers people jump spotting down below.
So, it forces them into this position
here where they're very easily seen and
traded from your teammates. Then next,
this one is super easy and there's a lot
of leeway for it, which is why it's one
of my favorites. As we're running up
now, we know this area is molotovd. Down
below is molotov so we can hold as we're
scaling up. All you have to do is line
yourself on the right wall, run, and
just throw Molly over there right
through the window.
This covers all the right side of jail
unless they're pushed up here, but in
this case, pretty easily visible. Kind
of covers all the bench except for the
right side here. Overall, this pushes
them into an incredibly vulnerable
position on either side of the molotov.
It might not be the best way to clear
all the back of the bench, but this is a
really easy one to throw and will force
people into being traded out very
easily. And now for the best flash that
I've ever seen for B. This is going to
be incredibly easy to throw. You're just
going to want to run up, tuck yourself
in the right side of this door, aim
below [music] this little brown area of
the wall, and then jump throw.
As you can see, flies right over top of
the apps. It's incredibly easy to
reproduce, and it blinds absolutely
everything. So, if you see here where it
pops [music]
it hits everywhere, even the cat
players. Now, it does pop behind the
player who's typically on get right. As
you can see, if I throw it, doesn't do
all that much. But for [music]
everywhere else, even if you're in these
corners,
[music] hits them. If you're playing
bench,
still get hit. Playing back sight, still
hits you a little bit. So, now for the
CT side of B, there's a few mollies you
can throw the exact same way as what I
showed you earlier, but in reverse.
There's really two ways you can do it.
You can either look a little bit further
to the right and mlly off the doorway as
you can see
or or you can up and to the left [music]
more throw it right through the window.
This will cover off deeper and just halt
the push there before they can jump out
the window. Either one of these is
pretty good. It's completely personal
preference on what you and your team
want to do. And trust me, there's plenty
of other ways you can monotop through
here. These are just relatively easy.
