by this gl6 63 I love this car so much

you know quite quite a buy this is a
500 what is it
5ep SUV and current the current bid is
$2,563 there was a time about I don't
know eight years ago something that when
Doug bought an E63 AMG wagon but before
buying that car strongly considered a
gl63 I really wanted a gl63 I test drove
one I was like pretty sure huh you just
weren't enough of a I think I think it
was just too big it's huge I think at
the time I didn't have kids I would I
would actually be more interested in it
now but I don't really want an AMG to
transport my children for various
reasons um but this thing is so cool I
still love them I God I saw one in the
neighborhood the other day did you
really yeah some guy driving it's a GLS
63 but still and I'm just like oh this
dude is killing it and I'm sitting over
here in an E450 allterrain right you
could had 200 more V8 and it's yesterday
I was driving my E450 alterate in the
tire pressure light went oh no not again
a different tire yeah okay was that that
start going somewhere no I it hasn't
gone any lower so what do you I'm just
going to fill it up I looked everywhere
on the tire and I didn't see anything
sold for
2,563 for a 550 horse twin turbocharged

at this oh yeah we sold that really nice
at 450 what is the size of this truck I
kind of want to review one of these

about an F250 Superduty the F250 is like
child's PL compared to this thing I know
but that was that truck was great and
luxurious and I can only imagine the
this is this you know how many wheels
this has yeah six there might even be a
sare tire NOA you know how many tires
this has do you know how much you know
how much aluminum it has look at that
bill udder sold this thing and the mud
flaps what are the the engine specs
because it has the the diesel sure thing
um so with this one this 935 pounds 935
pounds of torque man it really makes
that GL 63 look um weak sold for $6.95
how many miles are on this vehicle this
one has 44 ,000 that's not so bad makes
d63 look weak yeah but the difference is
this truck is not all that fast although
that F250 I had the other day was in
fact pretty fast but uh what all right
Ken can we look at what you only want to
look at what's coming up next I want to
see the history I want to know what is
behind us which is this accur TX typ ass

this thing is really cool all
right this is a 2023 accurate TLX Type S
PMC Edition and the PMC Edition means
that it was made at the performance
manufacturing center in Ohio in Ohio
this is a TLX one of 300 that is
handbuilt hand built T at the NSX
Factory yeah that's just cool and it
looks cool well here's the thing it
doesn't look any different than the
other type except for the wheels and the
color okay well that that's about 80% of
what a lot about the
car I find I
find it has a very find fascinating two
reasons one is it's a handbuilt Acura
sports sedan right why right what was
why did they bother it performance wise
same exact car but also it's so cool
like yeah we we don't think about this
car enough think about if if if wow it's
numbered it's numbered it's it's one of
100 in that color and then there's a 100
that are white and 100 that are blue oh
um wow it like imagine if if BMW came
out with a handbuilt m3300 we'd be
talking about that for weeks Ken would
still be thinking about that K would be
thinking about it as he falls asleep at
although sometimes but for some reason
we don't hear despite the fact that it's
from Ken sometimes I view when when a
thing is advertised that it's handbuilt
that's just code for the mirror will
fall off like no
they Ken this is built by ohans just
like you yeah my fellow my former
Statesmen I guess but States women but I
I don't know Ken people in Ohio went to
work at the NSX Factory and instead of
building nsx's that day they built a plx
and then they put a badge on it that
signified which number it was in that
color do you think they were like they
got you know was issued that okay we're
going to start building these as well
and they went what no I think the the
factory workers were probably very
excited RDX PMC or an MDX there some I
didn't even know this car existed until
we listen really yeah I didn't know wow
a rare blind spot in Doug's knowledge
well you want blind spots we get this
GTR closing can you tell us anything
about this GTR any single thing yeah all

3.5 L twin turbo V6 the this one has a
bunch of performance mods including a
different turbocharger

automatic has has been identical have 13
years um the G GTR we all know and love
it it has been identical little like
cyber truck from this angle I see that I
think it's for sure the color that's
impacting that right now yeah but it's
also the fact that the it comes up and
then it goes down it's there's like a
triangular situation with the Glass
House have you driven a modified R35 GTR
no sort of I I went one time I was in
San Antonio actually when I ideated cars
and bids and I turo one oh and uh that's
what you were driving in San Antonio was
a really yeah I just was like you had a
rule that in Texas you just drive
Suburbans yeah that rule I think was
made after this event because I drove
this I turo this GTR and it was so rough
and and so loud and I I stayed in an
Airbnb like in a residential
neighborhood and I would start this
thing to go and film and because I was
there like two days filming and it was
just so awful you couldn't go over speed
bumps I mean the one I this one is nice
the one I drove was clapped out and
that's one of the reasons I did it it
was on Turtle for like $199 a day for
GTR I was like yeah it it just it's
fascinating that it's been effectively
the same car since it came out it's good
look at that how many GTRs are on Nova
Scotia plates that's a great point that
is yeah not many one and that one's
headed to Toronto and when it sells on
the site um I do love the the R35
GTR um Ken would you like to talk about
the fipo another another uh thing that
you would like to discuss the Toyota
Land Cruiser that's ending right now oh
sure yeah K can can you go to it of
course all right JDM turbo diesel lifted
yep right-and Drive yep uh and it's in
Hawaii it's in Hawaii yeah um Can Can

appreciate that it's a JDM Land Cruiser
but they've they've added an lx450
Source Grill and headlights to make it
look more like the look more like
do you think in
Japan's everybody tries to make their
lx450 look like a Land Cruiser do you
think in Japan cuz the lx450 was surely
never sold in Japan you think there's a
culture of like oh there's a version
sold in America it does have the little
parking mirror which is incredibly
useful I drove in Japan and I used that
and it's unbelievable how useful it is
the reason people don't put it on their
cars is because it is unbelievably ugly
it's actually not for parking it's for
blind spot right that one for blind spot
it's beautifully located for blind spot
and it's incredible and it is
exceptionally ugly I don't think it's
ugly at all I think it's Charming it's
very Japanese yeah I
mean it's
yeah it's not a Triumph design do you
remember in the early ' 80s when the
Japanese cars sold America only had one
a driver side mirror and you had to pay
extra for a passenger side mirror this
car's got three mirrors as a as a
kid Italy as a kid we only had a driver
side Mir right FIA puno only had a
driver side Mir man Started From The
Bottom dude only had a driver side
mirror and look at him now now he's gotw
and a convertible he's got two mirrors
he's got a interior he's got a backup
camera the American story right here
ladies and gentlem bid and continuous
these are valuing these I find
incredibly difficult because obviously
the the the diesel is desirable they're
incredibly reliable including the diesel
it's different like a nice example
there's a lot of 0 series that are
coming in to the United States and yes
it is hard to Value them because it's
hard to really understand what people
want and what they don't want because
the 80 series the US cars are pretty
easy to Value they were all relatively
made the same there was a big change in
93 uh but the Japanese one it's like o
what's going to happen what I have
predicted that someone would would would
would pay 19450 for a Hawaii monster
truck version I don't
know it is cool though I'm into it I
honestly don't know I I I 20 there
Hawaii monster truck 20 grand and
there's multiple biders
um love to see it we have a lot of
amazing cars on the docket today we
already talked about the PMC Edition T I
I do think we should talk about a little
bit more because it's a handbuilt you
really want to talk about I do because
I I really think that there's not nearly
enough conversation about it for being a
handbuilt go to go back to kenan's
screen there this is this is an unusual
vehicle what was going on why did this
happen and I swear there was an an RDX
PMC can you look it up RDX cool in that
they are trying to if other you're right
if other brands did no yeah it's it does
exist if other brands were doing the
stuff that Acura was doing no I just
looked it up it's orange no I know but
like it's orange here's the thing they
not only did Acura do this with their
midsize Sports sedan they also did it
with their midside crossover now Ken has
no idea what anur RDX is periods which
is why he had to ask me five times what
it's called RDX right wait I thought it
was MDX kenon it's been 18 years man uh
but like came out no5 this is
fascinating I I love that they're doing
this I don't know why they're doing it
but it's so cool like if you're right if
other brands did limited edition
handbuilt Acura is so interesting
they're like they don't have the
performance credit of other brands but
they H they do cooler stuff imagine
right imagine if legitimately Kenan
would not have stopped talking about it
oh if there was a handil M3 oh my Lord
if there was a handil
M5 if his E39 M5 were handbuilt was the
first that
wasn't M5 was handbuilt and they
switched away from it now E34 M5 Ratt
lot on the way to work today I saw a
blue lont blue heinously modified E39 M5
that's tough to see a lot of them if
that car just weren't modified it would
be lovely right you know but decisions
were made when they were cheap yeah I I
probably would be something I would
mention but I I what do you mean okay
when you see prob IND color M you're
like you know I mean the handmade thing
of course I would every time I see an M5
is a special moment I see one in my
garage every
day he has a special moment every day it
is I go down to it to play tennis in the
morning against you two I'm like dang
right there it is there it is right and
that it doesn't warm up enough it's a
shame yeah I got one today um but yeah
the like it is I don't know why more top
conversation I agree there's a handbuilt
TLX can you go down to the specs it's
what like 350 something if there if
there had could you imagine if for did a
limited 300 production run of the 911
that was handbuilt oh it would be so
every every person on the watch groups
would talk about it ultra suede interior
ultra suede not aren't I don't think
it's different that that interor what
the regular one correct which is what
like also why are you getting the
detriment of this why are you
handbuilding a car and then changing the
wheels because and the color they didn't
want to mess with it they didn't have
they just had all the parts over for
what did you review a TLX Type S yeah I
did a TLX Type S it was Tiger ey what
did you think I I didn't hate it um I
really the problem is I really like the
Integra Type S like I I like I like the
Integra Type S more than Canon and so it
was hard to justify a TLX Type S when
the Integra Type S is there I mean I
know it's smaller but it's not much
smaller yeah and it's a hatchback which
come on yeah all right you we'll turn
back to this in about 15 minutes because
I do want to talk about it again then
but we can can move on for right now
there's a lot more good stuff wait
before you go to that there you know
there's a um to V10 that's ining there
sure is wow that's continuing so a
couple things so the the land Cruis
truck is continu so that's great which
um go to the
T all right yeah V10 TDI how many miles
this one has 150,000 miles oh great spec
I'm going to advance a theory about
these V10 TDI TXS I don't think there is
unreliable as people say I think they're
I think they're difficult to maintain
but I don't think they're necessarily
unreliable
of the okay we have now
auctioned we have now auctioned this is
our
17th V10 TDI auction I was 17 skip to
the I legitimately love look at that I
love the tar the first generation tar I
love this color combo with the tan
interior Brown interior whatever it's
called I think they call it and then it
has the coolest engine we have sold of
the 16 tar V10 TDI we've auctioned we've
sold them all wow
look at that and we'll sell this one
since it's no Reserve that's right
here's an interesting T fact stay on
that picture a second here's an
interesting T fact when the T first came
out in 03 you're going to love this they
had wind noise problems because of the
um roof rack and so what Volkswagen did
I swear to you what I'm about to tell
you is true what Volkswagen did was they
from the factory put the two crossbars
of the roof rack together in the back
and it eliminated the wind noise
problems and as a result are they like
on sliders yeah yeah well I don't know
if it's sliders or if it's just you have
to have to unclip it and move it for but
as a result all I mean you this person's
never used the roof racks and you can
tell because they either or they have
and they just put them back in the back
but you can tell which twar owners have
used the roof Rex and which ones haven't
based on which ones just left in the
back all the early ones they later than
went to roof rails I think but but all
the early ones that was done to to solve
the wind noise problem was it a solution
for the wind problem of course not
because it didn't actually address the
issue but it did for people who weren't
going to be using the roof rck and that
is your T fact of the day that's a great
w that's that's a can we also talk about
I I'm just really focused on automakers
doing weird things today okay Volkswagen
yeah which made the gulf and the jeda
and the bat right then made a very
off-road focused SUV for some
reason existed I think the platform I
know but like isn't it fascinating like
imagine if today well you got to
remember like P at the time like it was
this I mean think about the cars they
were making
the fat it doesn't make sense in
retrospect and it didn't make sense at
the time but Volkswagen's strategy was
at that time they wanted to be a
competitor to Mercedes-Benz while Audi
was a competitor to BMW that was their
stated goal which is wild it made no
sense to anybody especially to Americans
who don't really distinguish between
Mercedes-Benz and BMW we were like what
are you talking about but they tried it
so they had the Taron they had the
fatton yep and the Pat was nice was
based on A4 was like a nice car um as
opposed to the like new new Pat which is
a just a Camry I mean it's a car
platform what's that nms nms right new
midsize Ken's lost now now that we've
moved on from the
TW the tware still exists but is not
sold in the US or Canada um they sell
the my
God Aron no no what the atlas um sorry
Dave one of our team members who on in
Atlas uh instead but imagine if today
they came out with an an off-road Focus
it was an insane decision even then it
was too expensive today it would work
everybody it would work except for the
fact it would work except for the fact
that this was not an off-road Focus SUV
it was a luxury SUV but it was it had
great Offroad but it was like 80 grand
that was the problem it was it was a
luxury SUV first show MSRP and listening
does it have a sticker had a window

they made V12 TDI uh I think but I saw a

seem like you were pulling up on an
airplan that was legit but no one could
understand why it was coming out of
Volkswagen the company that gave us the
new Beetle why don't we collectively own
a I don't want one I don't need to tow I
don't want to deal with I tow but but if
you did need to tow a plane it's a car
to get if I needed to tow a it wasn't
there wasn't there like a press event
where the V10 TDI no no no no that was
the Toyota Tundra to space shuttle the
twar V10 TDI totor plan on Top Gear it
to the Boeing 747 on Top Gear it also of
course beat a Ford whatever in that
famous internet video wait go back to go

200 it is it is not a popular opinion
but the 200 is the best one you
currently own a 200 series Land Cruiser

kind of rough and the 55s and then the
60s are just they feel too old 80s I
like but they're slow and they're
starting to just feel so many of them
are just getting rough and hundreds are
nice but they're the 200's a better 100
the 200's the one that 57 V8 will kill
you it'll leave you stranded on a beach
or what oh that 57 V8 is just stronger
and better than you like when when you
wake up in the morning like me and Ken
wake up at 3:30 and we do we get six
workouts H by eight we're still not as
strong as the I force
V8 that's the well if you want to buy a
Doug's L Cruiser just wait uh question
from Summers when is Doug buy an E60 M5
never but never you wouldn't buy an E60

what ended up happening they only made
like 500 right they put tens of millions
of dollars into the power train pull up

they never put it in any other car and
they sold literally like a couple
hundred look at that we've had
five I've sold three it's wild what do
they sell huh
80s 81 to be fair how much were they in
you they must have been 100 something
there's a there's a long radent track
article about this that apparently
Cadillac
like developed the motor realized they
didn't need it for anything else there
was a shake up in leadership they bailed
on it the engine only ever went into
this car and even then they only made a
few hundred well you know Cadillac has a
great history of building reliable V8s
well bound to go well when it's only
made for only
875 were made was it based on an
existing
no developed and then they and then the
car was canceled and the engine was
canceled and everything went to hell wow
that's this is a rare car yeah this is
rarer than an F40 what's it the
ct5 what what's engine it's a different
motor that's the thing they still
calling it Blackwing but it has no
relation to this and it's incredible
have you considered a we're going to
talk about the C5 Blackwing 825 in the
US 50 in Canada wow oh that's only for
19 grand total is 1475 units so F40 is
because there were 20s also so F40 is a
little bit rarer than ct6v black 90 by
90 there
aued a Canadian spec one we auctioned
one of the one of the there's only 75
total in Canada for both B wow so it's
75 in Canada so it's as rare as the
f512m 75 North American f512m wow so
there you go wow there you are can we

on F doesn't know what that car this is
such a cool car and it doesn't get any
any discussion or praise or any interest
by anybody ever at any point uh T V10 we
should consider SED talking about oh you
want to talk about you want to talk
about Kyle yeah so sa kylo 4 which is
who one of the most prominent Automotive
YouTubers sa kylo 4 is a is a absolute
Legend and Idol of mine I've never
communicated with him I don't even
during this process I didn't even if
you're watching but Saab kai4 to my
knowledge he started YouTube In the Dark
Ages like 2009 he may started you he may
have started right there with the
founders and he was like the first car
reviewer like I think his dad had a used
car lot he's in the south you go to sou
KY fors he's in North Carolina find his
oldest video and he just started making
videos he's in North Carolina yeah he
started making videos about cars before
any of us were making videos about cars
and he is like the legit OG car 15 years
ago which is Kicker sub in Alexis ES350
and then his his his his thing for such
a long time was I his family had a
dealership he had a out of friends he
would go to the dealership
and very ex very intricate in-depth
tours of of vehicles right like
literally all of these videos are Lexus
ES350 content okay here you can kind of
this start anybody anybody who thinks
that Kyle s Kyle 05 started doing like
American car stuff which is kind of what
I think of him as now or hell maybe he
started you thought he started doing
Saabs he was ES350 content first and
foremost look how clean that RX300 is
this is a new car at the time but like
he he he would do these for for all the
cars at that at a bunch of dealership
right up he would do a tour it was where
you went for like in depth oh it totally
was is that 50k views on that MKS or 30k
he's the only guy who ever got 30,000
views on a 09 MKS let tell you that's a
fact man no stabilization whatsoever I
yeah I was a huge fan subc Force too you
were oh huge yeah I used to but there
was a time when his reviews were like 20
minutes 25 minutes I was like man you
really learned everything then they got
to like 30 40 minutes it's the problem

wasn't there was at one point there was
an F50 F150 that was the F-150 like
Explorer Ranger right right all in one
well you know they already on the so
this is a 6 L Crate V8 460 horsepower
Kenan what would you do with this truck
if you were to get it I mean yeah that's
what you do burnouts right burnouts I
mean that's kind of it I think it's well
it makes it harder well no not
burn burnout in two seconds in this
thing any reasonable human could it's
got 460 horsepower and no weight in the
back literally you could just burn out
everywhere yeah you might you might have
no choice o some subs some subs some
subs cuz he's going back to his OG days
like when he put him in that mon this a
really cool build this is a great build
how did he get the deck lid to match the
plastic really nicely done that's like
there's no way GMC sold it like that
right with any sort of thing there it

great it looks really

owned by a legend it's been owned by a

is so long that the factory equipment
list is only two points right cuz that's
the only thing that haven't changed air
conditioning and an adjustable steering
column and you know what even if he
hadn't made any modifications those
would have been the only pieces of
equipment that came from the factory
also four-wheel drive it's probably cool
also it just looks great yeah it looks
cool this thing plays in the South God I
miss living in the South where you can
have a truck like this and really show
up to a car event and people would be

which was the LM prototype car yeah

why they decided to build this car it
was pure fun as far as I can tell which

Germans have fun during this era BMW

think of that it's an exceptionally cool

that I really appreciated one is this is
the last ultra high performance
naturally aspirated only non-hybrid
Lamborghini that will ever exist the a
exist and that would be the last
non-hybrid Lamborghini period but this
is the last time they made one that's
really focused for the road and but the
other thing I so it was very special in
that regard but the other thing I really
loved about it was that when I got out
of that car it's such an involving
experience it's so loud and raw and just
alive and I got out of that and it was
like getting out of the kachh and that
like I was
like I'm done and that's the kind that's
why it's the perfect like fifth or sixth
car you would never want this like a
second sports car like it's but it still
delivers that old school Lamborghini
experience and I guess if you're at the
point where you need that like you have
a lot of cars um but it was unique and
really special and I enjoyed it a whole
lot you drove one I love it Doug Channel
incredible similar experience I think
the Kos is way more insane you got to
spend more time the K is way more insane
but I'm saying it's still as a driver
too like it still felt like the Kos is
way more insane in a lot of regards but
it was in that same category that same
vein that's what it delivered to me it's
a special car and also like it drives
well it's fast it's loud it's like it I
already I love the regular Huracan but
it's like the next level of even over
the performante well yeah way over the
performante man to me the the two the
three hurons to buy are the stado
because it's cool the coolest one stto
is definitely the best driver and then a
early regular one is like starting to

would skip the performant and the other
on and my understanding is they're

companies have these things exotic car
rental companies get beat and they take
it um but I think that I also like I
just I was blown away this car also from
an engineering perspective like they put
real effort into this car uh it's not
just like a Lamborghini where they just
slapped some carbon fiber on went look
at me and that was it they really the
brakes are very serious um the weight
reduction is very serious that um Kango
whatever front hood is like it's that's
a
very defit has a more exciting uh like
more more visceral driving experience
than a regular it all results yeah and
mean than a regular con con yeah than a
regular con this is this is a Huracan
and some others are hurricans but this
one oh wow where's this one looking you
like to say this one's in Los Angeles y
but amazing and a beautiful spec I love
the spec most stto specs are a little
too out there for me oh man see horrible
stto specs sold on a different
site it's a gray color it's subtle I
actually really like the wheels yeah

think used that white one and they point
out that that would be eligible for a
$4,000 tax credit so really you're
getting the purchase price down to 145
wow um so that's one model 3's cheap

well buy a new to be fair those have
gotten cheap too C on lowest price for
model 3's I don't agree with that
because they're so cheap 20 20 grand

two what is a 488 cost you have the

making it limited so you spend $800,000
and Ferrari will protect your investment
by making 7 million of these things the
only problem of course being that
Ferrari cannot sell them either right uh
and that is the problem with the sf9 it
does not look distinctive enough to be
special and the market has proven it
because resale is in the tank for the
first time for always having to deal
with a car that well the Roma I suppose
and the California and all them I mean
those cars sell but you know it's they
have to be pushed a little sf90 is been
a unmitigated the first time within that
in that price in that price point that
Ferrari has ever released a super crazy
car that dropped like a stone in value

manual transmissions which is my kind of
car uh and this one of course has a
manual Ken sometimes talks about buying
this alongside hisy 395 I will one day
many years ago I had one of these as a
press car and I made the mistake of
letting Kenan drive it briefly I drove
no I drove it for like well I guess it
was briefly the problem was that it was
brief I think if I had let him like take
it home for a couple nights he wouldn't
but he he because he only had such a
little taste right
right but it was wonderful it's
wonderful it's amazing it's an amazing
car uh and just I mean yeah it I mean
the but it is true like even the time I
drove because you mentioned it to me
like you experience actual range range
anxiety with a gasoline power car I we
did the math my uh Kevin and I when we
were driving it and we were getting four
miles to the gallon holy and I now
I wasn't being particular I wasn't
concerned with like taking it easy but
it was it was just amazing the car of
that size handled that well you could
shift your own Gears and a very nice
manual transmission too sounded great
looked super subtle like just I like it
known that I would certainly get better
gas than that and and I I think an
appropriate part of thought is I live on
a pretty short street by the end of my
block I was in third gear my God fipo
and that I think is all we need to say
for the rest of this live show he like
the
third Jesus wow well we drive manual
transmissions differently Ken I agree
with you completely it is a tremendously
special car I'm always thrilled when we
have it on the site I love this car and
I think that the market has not yet
realized just how special this car is in
part because I think the Market's trying
to feel out how many they're going to

anything to go by even stick cts-vs on
that gen sedans yeah still do well they
