[00:53] oh yes I I didn't watch the entire thing but I was uh out with friends and I saw it on in the background um so up until 1:15 eastern time so I may be a bit tired but let's go nice to see yeah those those Western games are killer um
[01:06] yeah today we're talking about the Hack That temporarily crippled watch Mojo in 2016 um but before we get to that you had written recently an interesting had written recently an interesting article titled i d GF which if you can
[01:21] put that together you can imagine what that stands for with a nice visual representation right there um yeah let's talk about this I kind of I get I read you're referring to but is there anything that you want to elaborate
[01:35] about on that no I mean it's all kind of you know I find related connections between any things uh so I remember back in 2017 uh when I had brought on a Chief Financial Officer one thing he said to
[01:48] was like you know I must say you have really good judgment he's like you have to make a decision and honestly that was really what I always strived for you know we talked about my influences people like Cyrus the Great
[02:02] and others you know the the sense of making good decisions um is something that I always liked so um so when we were going to do this topic on Hacks uh which you're like well what is the relation um yeah I wrote it I was like
[02:17] in Orlando and we were talking last week and just seeing Disney and I was thinking of like these big companies like Disney Warner uh News Corp Fox and you know Hurst and all these like really really success ful Storyteller
[02:31] entrepreneurs who built these companies I was like yeah you know what like you technology where it's like does the search engine work or not you know it's like does Excel add up or not and I go it's really really hard because you you
[02:45] know if you're G the founder you hire yes some business people lawyers even like your designers may be nine to-5 but you also have like an army of like jugglers and fire breathers who like really are artistic
[02:59] and they're the soul and heart of your organization but they could care less about like a lot of things so I mean there's no perfect anecdotes and analogy I use was like imagine you're running a concert venue I don't know I
[03:12] great whitefire and you know you're always telling your team you're like hey guys to protect you from not burning in a fire but also our patrons I'm like let's leave the store this Alleyway empty and like you know once you see
[03:26] some guy puts case of beer some guy puts a you know ladder some guy sleeping God knows what's happening so a couple or like a few weeks ago a month ago there was like something like that you know and it was really more precautionary and
[03:40] like the kind of email I send every few years like I remember when we all worked just leave all their dishes in the sink and like iy just sent an email with like the Seinfeld scene where like Kramer puts like Concrete in like the the
[03:55] the point I'm like guys you know don't make me do this it's like a joke so but this the only the comment was bring it all together is I said I am seen as like a domain expert I am seen as somebody that others view as experience and
[04:10] knowledgeable so to speak but I still try to be humble and modest and come to you guys for basic things and I'm like did you guys get a notice from the city saying this could this alley could now be like a you know stock repository did
[04:24] lock on it you know it was more like tongue and cheek and um to bring it now this is I don't mind sharing it it's it's interesting for me but like one of
[04:36] the employees sent this email to one of my board members and why am I saying you know like I think if this person would have we have a suggestion box if anonymously and said hey I don't like what you said I think it's unfair or
[04:51] this is why this is where you're wrong I would have been like cool you know good feedback it's a shame I can't ask this person more question but I was like you person more question but I was like you know on vacation and I just come back
[05:03] great board meeting the company's doing phenomenal the industry's everything going in our Direction and my board was like tiptoeing you know they don't want a crazy Ash to show up which they would not but they were like yeah you know
[05:15] somebody said hey Tyler somebody was like Hey you know like uh an employee sent this what's it about and obviously I'm not the one to throw anybody under the bus so I still defended the team and I was like well no you know it was one
[05:27] error I downplayed it and I put it in the context of everything's great but I was just sitting there and like after the board I told my fellow VPS because I just didn't want it on my chest and I always like the word was not pissed it
[05:39] wasn't angry definitely not vindictive vengeful it was just this frustration you know for two years we've talked about this the board yes they represent all stakeholders but they represent investors so I'm like here I've been
[05:54] mistakes which we all do I have my own list of top 10 mistakes I do and I'm always out there positioning you guys in a good light and I would never slander disparage you to the board I always project you in a good way but after two
[06:07] years where they're like should we have layoffs like every other company to simplify they also had reasons not to and I defended and I kept a team does thinking they're being a hero and maybe in their head they are or maybe
[06:20] all you did is you made the whole team look like a bunch of jabronies um and which would actually bring more attention on you so I thought of judgment and I thought of the cfo's comment but ultimately and I mean you
[06:34] were copied on the email I'm very direct I told the team I said look somebody did this I I think it's it's fine it doesn't offend me I question the judgment and the rationale but I said just so it's also clear I go I am like a geek of all
[06:47] these things management I care about ethics governance I go I've studied whistleblowing as if we're doing something unethical or illegal I even yeah if you have a neighbor who's like a gangbanger and you kind of call the cops
[07:02] doesn't come and beat you up because they're like you took a criminal off the street I'm like here just so I understand you guys made a mistake I said I come to you asking for feedback you guys don't give me that courtesy
[07:14] even though I'm technically the boss and I'm also cxo right like I'm in charge of responsible for all these things like I'm the crazy one that wants to do every idea but then the devil and the angels like so it was disappointing but I did
[07:27] think of like things that that come out you know whether it's to your board or to employees and my main and I'll end here on this I'm agnostic atheist atheist maybe even but I do believe in that concept of Judgment Day you know I
[07:40] do believe that the truth always comes out so I run the business almost like the extent it's normal where I'm like transparent I'm accountable to all to was like I'm your Ombudsman if we do something wrong tell me um but so in
[07:56] today's show um we're going to talk about hack a little bit and we actually watch Mojo but it was fascinating when I was researching this when you brought it up last week I was like oh we did a video
[08:11] was like let's actually this show talk a little bit about some of those entries and then happy to dive in with the watch MJ yeah for sure before we go further I our YouTube channel so just wanted to mention that for the audience that's
[08:25] watching you can go in and weigh in with your thoughts there we want to know what do think is the biggest reason that companies get hacked do they not invest enough in cyber security uh is it that hackers are always one step ahead are
[08:38] employees making mistakes or is it often an inside job so uh let us know what you think love your thoughts on that before later on you read um the answer and then I have my but I don't want to bias anybody and who is I I'm just a just a
[08:51] guy here in front of a of a camera you are Mr cxo which is what I wanted to ask you about right now um everybody knows what a CEO is but what do you what how do you define cxo cxo as actually not Chief experience officer which I think
[09:05] in corporate lingo that's sometimes they use it you can imagine if you work at a parks there might be a cxo to discuss like everybody's experience cxo is something that I I actually have been using for almost a decade um you know we
[09:20] had a CFO at one point and then when uh the johnan want to leave to try new things we didn't really need to replace them given that my background is finance and we have a great team and admin same thing with marketing we did have like a
[09:32] CMO at some point we have you know a VP who handles marketing and but ultimately a cxo is I I thought of like Craig Newark the founder of Craigslist the disruptor in online classified he used to describe himself as just like a
[09:46] customer service rep for all issues pertaining to Craigslist and in many ways I feel like that's what I do and I love my job you know every day I have have all this you know somebody called it somebody else they were like
[10:00] shoveling [ __ ] which is very crude but I understood why she would say that but help desk of either your marketing team your editorial team your legal and you have to be versatile and I the analogy I use is Tom Brady has to be an assassin
[10:15] on every play he's a sociopath you know I remember one time a Detroit line cornerback or safety was like no no no you're not throwing here the [ __ ] threw four passes against that guy connected on all four two were
[10:27] two maybe even more were touchdowns I don't know if that guy was cut afterwards or not right so the point is um in business it's different you know like here I view it as this is kind of you're running the show ion the producer
[10:39] he's the boss if I step out of line he could tell me off even when I played soccer and I was the striker I would always listen to all feedback so the cxo to rise more and more people are going to use it there was a fellow CEO
[10:52] actually um who founded light speed a much bigger company out of Montreal um oh you know you got to wear many hats I was like yeah it's just you're the cxo now you're not just the CEO and he was like I love it so I wrote the article
[11:06] comes to judgment and hacks sometimes I'm like hey as like the editor-in chief legal sense we're probably shooting ourselves in the foot um so before we get into the specifics on watch Mojo's hack uh we do
[11:20] have a top 10 list that we produced on the biggest hacks of the 21st century which would be a good thing to look at um so if we can pull up uh that list for documents in the same file folders as those documents themselves um it's
[11:34] those documents themselves um it's really just a face palming security mess welcome to watch Mojo and today we'll be counting down our pigs for the top 10 biggest hacks of the century so far this is bad worst DS attack I've ever seen
[11:47] country will you have jurisdiction we need to watch the whole thing but maybe we could just go through some of the entries yeah I think we also have the uh the article here that we can kind of scroll through but a lot of these are
[12:02] scroll through but a lot of these are very number 10 on the list the DNC email leak from 2016 the 2016 election well this is this is probably we could call it the Hillary Clinton final nail in the coffin
[12:18] uh I mean this is an interesting one I mean we should spend maybe just a few one to me is interesting because this one you clearly could tell somebody at an agenda but whether or not was the The Objective was what was accomplished I
[12:31] don't know this is an interesting point that often times there could be like a stated goal but when you when you release everything into you know the wait a minute there's this email where like Hillary did this or the FBI
[12:45] director does that and it has it's a can of worms you know the Genies out of the bottle but yeah this one was I think pertinent in my humble opinion just campaign right before the election yep number nine the Equifax leak of 2017 do
[13:00] you trust Financial Services like in terms of your data like if you bank with you know Acme know Financial or whatever I don't want to slander any banks because when I worked witha I just assumed that like that's when it opened
[13:12] my eyes I was like Wow everything I do everything I buy and geographically where I go is pretty much known and then I was like mobile phone so now I just assume I'm boring I'm a nobody but what's the point anymore you know yeah I
[13:26] like a certain risk with anything that you give of something that you accept at this point like there's a little bit of risk everywhere I try not to overthink it too much that's fair um we've got celeb gate
[13:42] at number eight that was a that was a crazy one the Apple leak that uh a lot celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence kayy quo Kirsten Dunst that was that was
[13:54] very bad and I think it kind of was C blanch for a lot of like sexist and misog istic like overtones because if a g in her private time is doing God knows type of thing but if a guy first of all wants to see those pictures you know
[14:08] remember that and yeah I mean that sucks and you know again be careful what you and you know again be careful what you want to put on yeah exactly um at number seven eBay's leak from 2014 there was a data breach uh that compromise 145
[14:25] million accounts yeah to me all these especially like you know web 1.0 platforms I feel like there's just so many Legacy systems like Legacy not Vis many Legacy systems like Legacy not Vis IBM Legacy Vis like you know Google or
[14:39] you're just GNA take all the best practices and start on a in theory more strong robust but it just takes one entry point oh foreshadowing it takes later on with watch mjo to really bring down no matter how much security you
[14:55] have uh you're You're vulnerable yep we've also got the Facebook hack from 2013 2 million passwords were stolen uh and then in 2019 there was an even larger breach resulting in 500 million
[15:09] Facebook accounts being hacked which uh notorious for for problems I like people to this day you always hear of friends ongoing occurrence that happens with them yeah and I also think uh I don't
[15:25] because I do know some people there and they're great people in terms of tech chops and all but I think what happens is sometimes internally we talked about the cxo sometimes internally you could have a marketing person that's like
[15:37] should do in terms of signups or in terms of like how many steps do you know an account just to keep it pretty pedestrian example if the council's in that room or if like they CTO Chief technical officer or mainly your Chief
[15:52] Information officers in the room they may be like let's hold on let me check something but often times what happens is the combination of uh I don't want to say ignorance in a bad way but lack of awareness of laws and and protocol
[16:07] versus just a communication breakdown you know and that's why the whole cxo content I like because I'm like you need to bring a lot of perspectives when you make these decisions yep number five on the list first American uh in that one
[16:20] 8885 million mortgage documents were stolen by hackers okay yeah that's major uh we've got Ashley Madison that's another scandalous one that's very yeah that's very very fascinating um I remember I knew there was this gentleman
[16:35] just met him on LinkedIn at the time that this happened um it's honey I swear it was research um yeah I mean this one is I mean this one is like life uh affecting it's not just like oh people know my credit rating oo the shame I I'm
[16:51] I mean this is obviously affects lives and uh you know you people like I mean these Services even online dating I I met my wife before these took off
[17:03] started my career at ask man a lot because it was like a men's online magazine we had a lot of my clients and advertising were the online uh dating okay how many of these are real are
[17:16] they had to deal with very different than today uh obviously Ashley M Madison was to hook up with like married women basically so yeah I mean you know it's like I always go if you sign up to these services assume
[17:30] it's your own risk basically yeah it's like it's G to get out so you have to be divorces resulted from that leak specifically that would probably be a stag number really really really adventurous followup you know
[17:43] yeah number three there's uh the Yahoo leak of 2013 and 14 which was leak of 2013 and 14 which was enormous um and oh at number two Sony Pictures Entertainment so Sony's been really bad with leaks so Sony this one
[17:58] to me is the one that I thought of which was basically a crazy storyline it was the dictator which allegedly piss about North Korea allegedly pissed off King Jung ill like this is the story unless and then he got he got his hacking team
[18:13] and then he got he got his hacking team to go in and the stuff that they found was really more embarrassing but there were like you know sea level Executives who would say extremely disparaging things about minorities and anyway so
[18:29] this ended careers you know this was really really uh a big deal but it just really really uh a big deal but it just goes to show that you know Sony Pictures goes to show that you know Sony Pictures pissed off a dictator and the dictator
[18:42] Unleashed a Cyber attack on them which really ended careers like if you think of it and I've also talked about the concept of a movie it is there you go talked about this concept of corpo
[18:55] Nations where like the Google alphabets microsofts Facebooks they're like massive they operate across borders their soldiers are across all and and so here what happened was a country went after a
[19:09] corporation um it's just surreal and I didn't believe it at first I was like no this are not North Koreans that are doing this but that was apparently what happened there's also a mention here of the huge PlayStation
[19:21] Network hack that also happened in 2014 the same year where uh you know a lot of people's information got stolen and just as a tangent in the gaming World hacks have become commonplace like not just um where where users information has been
[19:35] stolen but uh companies like Insomniac Games who do most of the big Marvel games these days had internal leaks where uh you know plans for future games has become a a pretty common thing to see in the gaming World also uh number
[19:50] one on the list is the WhatsApp uh hack of 2019 it's funny I don't even REM I mean obviously I might have been part of the even remember this you know like this was to me obviously huge in terms of
[20:05] numbers and whatnot but again I just assume you're gonna get hacked you know like I really think or not you're gonna get hacked but like whatever you put an email or you communicate You' maybe you've heard me even in meetings I'm
[20:18] like speaking behind their back but if they were here I would say this as well you know like I do believe that things get out whether it's through a hack or employees talking or whatnot um and I will add not that I
[20:32] board was like we read your email there's nothing violating any HR protocol here right you're upset we appreciate you doing this so I'm just getting that but but my assumption whenever I write anything is somebody's
[20:45] gonna read this that you did not intend to be a reader and they may lack context right anyway so yeah that's that for our top 10 list uh the main thing that I'm seeing that's different from watch Mojo's hack is that it's not like users
[20:59] information was stolen and disseminated across the internet it was more like our YouTube channel was taken down all the videos were uh made uh removed essentially which caused a huge blow uh to the business uh and so maybe you can
[21:15] elaborate on that what exactly happened what was the situation how'd you find out about it so yeah I mean in a way I hate to say because the website's a tiny piece of the business although the website is
[21:28] protected but again we're not infallible so no hacker Nation I'm not challenging you I'm sure you could hack us five ways to Sunday it's not no need we're not we're not here we come as friends uh so what happened was we used to you know
[21:41] Google is funny in that they launched Gmail and obviously for a lot of their platforms and Google went from like a consumer platform search maps even
[21:53] YouTube to but over time more of an Enterprise Commercial platform as well Gmail eventually at gmail Enterprise Google Enterprise in the cloud competes with like Adobe or whatever and so even YouTube which initially was like a
[22:09] consumer place where you go sign up with like you know Rob Funk Master Flex On Assassin's Creed killer like you had this weirdo email at gmail one of our colleagues that I got the skills that's a fact I won't name if you
[22:24] knew that before hiring would you have like gone through with it questionable judgment I said no so so like you know we might have used whatever you know ashk it wasn't me though but I don't want to but
[22:36] let's say you like my email was like ashk Mojo face there whatever and at ashk Mojo face there whatever and at gmail.com so we all had emails like that and well what happens well if you know dick Tom or Harry is using that for
[22:49] watch Mojo but they go on a trip or they use Wifi as much as you could be like don't do I mean you're you have to be empathetic and like Common Sense there it was no way to really build you know layers of Security Plus two-step
[23:05] verification was somewhat new and I used to be like hey everybody if you don't mind if you got time sorry to you know I was very polite etiquet usually 99% of the time that's who I am 1% sure I say you're crazy and people don't like it
[23:19] wasn't like if this isn't set up by Friday you're fired I mean who talks like that right so so what happened was one of our colleagues just didn't anything wrong they just at one point their account got compromised they could
[23:33] could have been at a Wi-Fi to try to do something for work on vacation so I wasn't I never blamed anybody for this it was just the lesson but so somebody's email that was also a personal and work email to access our YouTube account uh
[23:48] like that person had an official at watchmo account but that's not what we used to log in at the time uh it was compromised and it's like once you get in like a troen hores you could leave crumbles to be able to do further damage
[24:02] so what ended up happening was this person got in through uh the kind of there was no real firewall but not a technical but a symbolic firewall once
[24:14] they were in they could then basically um do whatever they want now again maybe um do whatever they want now again maybe I'm this I'm idealistic naive person um but they could have deleted you you said something that wasn't really correct and
[24:28] I'll clarify in correct they could have deleted every video and then well then way Google has cash like they have cash memory you can bring it back it's a pain in the butt but you know it's it's it's they don't want to go there but it I
[24:42] believe that's basically there should be an option but so what they did it was more nucent like it was more even if it might have been personal towards me or because we featured something in a video which I doubt like I never knew the why
[24:55] um but they just reset all of our metadata so the title of every video almost became like uh I forgot I should really remember it but something really really remember it but something really irreverent and childish so there was no
[25:07] video there was no way we were going to go back and manually change it so even though this was right before lean June 24th I was all excited about the Euro it 2016 it was right before I was going to go to Greece for the first time like
[25:22] literally the day before we actually had a happy hour scheduled obviously we kept smiling and I was like what do you want me to do come here and just break [ __ ] you know so but it was also by then I won't lie it wasn't just this Zen master
[25:35] I was like I I Knew YouTube was going to help fix us the metadata but what we realized right away was hey wait like we're not getting the same views our don't care about the algo we care about the audience the editorial we still pay
[25:48] attention you know we're not stupid there it's like I look at the weather I don't go out in shorts when it's minus 20 and so yeah we realized something was YouTube they were like you effectively change the metadata so the signal that
[26:01] you're sending across all your videos is that these are new videos so whatever SEO search engine optimization or you know algorithm Mojo in terms of related know algorithm Mojo in terms of related videos and what is suggested to to users
[26:16] on YouTube they're like you're kind of lost all that which sucks but but I was like again it's weird when I think about it I was extremely pissed I blame myself quite a bit but I was like okay like hacks could be fatal and this was before
[26:30] we did this video but I was like hacks could be you know could end lives could end careers could end relationships could end your business um you might end up hurting your clients you might be susceptible to a class action lawsuit
[26:43] susceptible to a class action lawsuit when crowd strike uh security Sy cyber security systems were mentioned in a lawsuit by Delta the real culprit not to throw Microsoft under the bus but it was a Microsoft issue uh that led to crowd
[26:59] strike because all these things talk to each other right um so long story short very quickly I was like this sucks but I did feel that like yeah absolutely it did hurt us you know it did set us back but okay you could sit there but that's
[27:13] kind of like saying again I'm not a car person but imagine you you are and you have three Lamborghinis two Ferraris uh and somebody steals you know your your and somebody steals you know your your your your Porsche okay it sucks uh you
[27:26] don't want to lose your Porsche but like you got six Ferraris and three Lamborghinis and the Bugattis I mean it was like not a good parallel you know like if stuff happens and you're like oh I have to let people go because the
[27:38] business is really hurt but this wasn't knock on wood that this was just we [ __ ] up and we were unlucky but that is life and you move on and you don't sit there and Sal because people are like shut up like I'm unemp you know or
[27:52] like shut up like I'm unemp you know or like we we wish we had 50% or 80% of the before you know so you need perspective in life you know you've heard stories about hackers who like go go ahead and like find weaknesses in like government
[28:05] systems and like get in and then end up getting hired by them to like improve sound like this was a super malicious attack because as you mentioned they didn't take down videos they just kind of reset the meta metadata to be like
[28:18] haha look what we can do type thing um yeah but you also don't want I'm not this like it could have been like I hate watch wo this is malicious but also damages could happen like I also think to the hacker you know don't think just
[28:33] sometimes online I see people under Anonymous profiles thinking they could slander defate defame do whatever they want and I'm like do you really think the platform if I go get a basic a junior novice lawyer could walk to the
[28:48] courthouse just say this statement on this platform caused me harm or primma fasia caused me some harm Define it as you want the judge and you're like I wanted see who this is because this goes above and beyond freedom of expression
[29:02] uh you can't dox people that's the irony but if you go and get a court and say certain jurisdictions you bring it to Papa Elon Musk you think Elon Musk is going to Care he's gonna be like this is who this person is it's funny even
[29:15] Anonymous the legendary Anonymous we're not you know this comes from props and praise but I don't understand their X account is verified which means you have to to provide uh an ID right whose ID
[29:29] provide yeah that's a good question I wonder that myself yeah uh how do you assess the impact of of that the results of the hack yeah I mean look sure it costs us millions of dollars but of possible future Revenue that that sucks
[29:43] and some people would look that and go lament and you know jump off a bridge I didn't care that much about us what did hurt me more like was we lost a lot of possible views going forward like it basically you know if you looked at our
[29:55] trajectory and how we were keep gr I mean we're talking about a billion plus uh video views the next year that YouTube did not serve up so I think of the little boy who grows up and wants to learn about Batman or the G that wants
[30:08] to know what the best sandwiches and owls are and you know what music she Aussie osor no I'm kidding but that was entrepreneur like kind of irritated me a bit more but again I mean after that I
[30:23] went to Greece on vacation first time I was there but again like you've heard me say it before covid I used to always think back at my life especially great time you know flying high and doing this and doing that but I swear to
[30:38] moment all of those moments were actually like very not just I wish melancholic they were just things were aggravating me because again at cxo you have like the the weight of not just 10 Executives or one department and their
[30:53] employees you have like this Delta of [ __ ] coming your way um and I was really just like this was eating away at me I kept going to bed worrying that you know maybe we'd get hacked again I literally used to wake up thinking oh [ __ ] we got
[31:06] hack um but then very quickly I was like glass is half full it's all good this is just another thing to deal with um and now I actually sleep better I have fun that's the thing not that I don't not passionate but I'm just like who cares
[31:21] like I don't control this like you know it's it happens and just be positive and charge ahead yeah t t it back into the theme of the the first article that we spoke about it's all connected it's all connected sorry where does it land on
[31:34] the list of setbacks that you've experienced with waim Mojo oh my God my was like once we had found product market and flying high you know could we be twice the size you know more employees more this sure but I'm not
[31:50] driven by like greed like in the sins and virtues sense I'm like I'm like okay and virtues sense I'm like I'm like okay so that sucked um look the lawsuit was really sucky because if we would have lost that would have just been fatal and
[32:02] over uh running out of money sucked as well but that was harder because I mean you're not going to go steal money so that was actually hard because I couldn't there was a chance I couldn't pay the team so that's when I had to go
[32:15] get a mortgage and all that that was again this sucked a lot like the impact again this sucked a lot like the impact was was severe um but more of like OPP not opportunity cost more of like foregone possibility so this actually I
[32:27] mean I didn't plan this but this is a good exercise in like greed versus gratitude you know like so for without a doubt it hurt us um but was I going to have had another steak and another lobster tail or was I like hey man like
[32:45] happy you know what I mean like that does that that I will never lose so it sucked a lot it's also like when I was a kid once we got robbed um and uh just mean you do feel like and again just
[33:00] imagine other forms of that especially for woman and so like to me this was like a still a superficial but I did feel very much like violated type of thing because it was a security and I didn't know who and why so the paranoia

[33:28] um you know was just tired of the platform and censorship and algorithm she decided to take a gun and go to San Bruno it changed the YouTube's Outlook you know with great power comes responsibility I use this to tell the
[33:43] and we can't think we're hot [ __ ] or anything and let's not change that but I was like we are a media company you know that's why even like our sign at our old office as much as I wanted a huge sign I was like okay it was just to protect the
[33:56] office you know I used to work with the team but eventually as we grew I had my team but eventually as we grew I had my little office that worry was there that some guy was just like I don't like that you guys put Assassin's Creed on this
[34:08] list of bad movies that's my life man and he shoots five people and I'm like know sounds matchet crazy but that's things so it was just a lesson to kind of point to and almost an opportunity to
[34:23] point to to be like let's just realize that our vantage point is this but this is how the World Views us we are a target of attacks so yeah an unfortunate reality um so we have uh we did post a poll earlier in the episode asking what
[34:39] our audience thinks is the biggest reason that companies get hacked uh and I believe you asked my opinion I think you know hackers are always going to be advancing with the times I think like one day you know we'll be using Quantum
[34:52] stuff like that I don't think it's ever going to really end because as much as security improved hackers will continue to improve too so that's my two cents about it uh what does the audience think uh 33% say that companies don't invest
[35:06] enough in in cyber security which you know could be some an argument to be made because some companies will try to cut Corners where don't know the risks until something happens to you uh 33% also say hackers
[35:20] are always one step ahead 22% say it's often an inside job which is yeah it's kind of uh I don't know high percentage for that I don't think there's too many like inside hacking jobs that happen but I could be wrong and 11% say employee
[35:35] error which I think should actually be higher because I yeah I mean this was probably an error I have made but this was I think Falls more here uh but because you could but to be fair it was also well at the point we didn't invest
[35:50] just we weren't forcing people to use the tools that were available I think the main one is you know you know like driven by money a hacker is driven by the challenge you know so I think a
[36:04] hacker will always want to kind of prove that they could climb a taller mountain that they could climb a taller mountain of you know security uh defenses so I think that's really the human Spirit now it doesn't help if like Sony you do a
[36:16] movie called The Dictator and attack a dictator right so um yeah no so I'm not a bit surprised but not wholly surprised you know mhm well before we wrap wrap it
[36:28] up uh I want to talk a little bit about inside pitch tell me about this this is something that you have promoted on on LinkedIn as a a tool for people to come to you with ideas well so a couple things I get a [ __ ] ton of uh people
[36:41] looking for work and during covid I registered open towork dotv pretty good URL to have but so busy and so I did have this idea of like just doing like everybody could come as a as a person and do those three questions I asked
[36:56] what are you really good at or better at than most uh first we're talking a we'll come to this and then the other one is like what are you like the Wayne Gretzky LeBron James Michael Jordan Tiger Woods whatever the Tom Brady like
[37:08] the second one is like what's your culture you know what kind of culture do all that like where would you really Excel and then like you know what is it like you're passionate so that was like kind of like I would always help people
[37:21] navigate them and it was a bit chaotic because I like to help people but I was like okay I have a full-time job so I fin fin set up open to work. TV which is a way for people uh to especially those that I don't know it's easier to just be
[37:34] like fold this out and then also my team we could look if you guys are looking you're looking for like a a production person who's really good with a certain equipment or whatever you know me I like structured I'm pretty chaotic but I
[37:47] balance it with some structure so once I set that up I will not lie I was like people looking for work but I really get a [ __ ] ton more for people looking for
[37:59] investment or people looking to partner with watch mro and again I want to help them all but it's like I feel bad going up to Dick Tom and Harry who are busy being like hey this company that I don't know that I just am trying to help that
[38:12] I'm just trying to be a good human being do you mind looking and seeing if there's a fit like I empathize with my my guys and gals they're like [ __ ] man I'm busy why do you want it could be great so I did always want to build this
[38:24] kind of datab braas approach so that if somebody's like I wish we had an a partner a vendor that could help us with this trivia initiative I'm like wait go to this database Google it search it and you find somebody so it
[38:36] was also for watch modjo but I get so many people and truthfully I love investing but have a full-time job but two I did want to just relay a general
[38:48] feedback of why I'm very selective and when I have this one-on-one with an invest with an entrepreneur even if I go it's General human beings they're like he doesn't want to do this because this is what he thinks I am which is not true
[39:02] so half of that was just getting a general update so people could read it on LinkedIn so it's very like opening up it's not Visa you bu or your company and I got turned down by 100 so I know it's does feel good yeah um but then the
[39:15] does feel good yeah um but then the second one was really just to okay maybe we could do basically imagine after our run of inside Mojo which we could consider there's always topics to discuss make it more news bring guests
[39:27] uh and all that but I was like imagine if we had a show that was let's go back to the uh the the the log line there so I was like We'll go with inside pitch pitch is a double onon obviously pitching but also like baseball I may
[39:41] type of thing because part of life and it goes back to judgment is getting feedback and giving uh receiving feedback and and and uh you know giving feedback and it's how you react but so the idea is uh I'm not going to invest
[39:55] in your stupid startup but you convince me otherwise but let's have some fun so let's talk about it uh you know so imagine Beat Bobby fle so my idea and people want to make it better my my inbox is open I'm gonna have like each
[40:12] show each podcast show you know it could eventually be on in a studio but I I don't want to wait for Hollywood this is easy for me to do this is a layup so two contestants who come like Beat Bobby fle and it might be thematic right where
[40:26] they're kind kind of not going at it but like the way you have like a Lifeline the other person's wheel so you got to be able to have some fun but so let's say there's two entrepreneurs or two storytellers who are solving something
[40:40] related in two different approaches I ask them some questions and a bit like Shark Tank I'm also gonna or this is more Apprentice I won't lie at first I'm but it just because I don't want to wait for people I'm tired I need to
[40:55] change this thing that I wait for others to behave a certain way so from now on want help me or get out of my way and so the idea is I'm going to have probably a couple of Industry friends so if some guy comes to us and he's like I want to
[41:09] build a watch mod or a complex or a hot ones I may actually have Rich founder and former CEO of complex in that show where we're gonna ask questions and this and that and then the idea is yes wi Ben
[41:24] Stein's Money either I'm open to invest watch is open to invest one of the guests could be open to invest I mean I do need to look into a bit of the law but I don't see any issues but I also know a [ __ ] ton of investors so this is
[41:37] a fun way and you have a conversation like Shark Tank you still get exposure um I've gotten I mean right now I would say a 10ish submissions but I mean as I are like what the hell is this but it's meant to be fun and it's still intended
