## Summary

Cara from the Cara Report shares ten practical ways to repurpose blog content across different platforms, emphasizing the importance of creating fresh, platform-specific content to avoid burnout and maximize reach. She discusses the value of evergreen topics, solving key audience problems, and provides actionable strategies from YouTube videos to guest posts, along with tips for systemizing the repurposing process.

### Key Points

- **Introduction to Repurposing** [00:02] — Cara introduces the concept of repurposing blog posts into multiple pieces of content, emphasizing that it's not just about sharing links but creating fresh content tailored to each platform.
- **Why Repurposing Matters** [00:44] — Repurposing helps avoid content burnout and leverages the evergreen nature of blog posts, which have long staying power compared to ephemeral social media posts.
- **Choosing the Right Blog Post** [01:56] — Not every blog post is suitable for repurposing. Ideal candidates are evergreen (not seasonal or timely), solve a key audience problem, and have a clear structure with multiple sections.
- **Idea 1: YouTube Video** [03:05] — Turn blog posts into YouTube videos to build authority and reach a new audience. This requires showing up on camera but leverages existing content.
- **Idea 2: Podcast Episode** [04:03] — Record a podcast episode expanding on the blog's key points, adding personal stories and nuance that don't work well in written form.
- **Idea 3: Pinterest Pins** [04:42] — Create Pinterest pins highlighting different angles of the blog. Pinterest provides backlinks, improves SEO, and allows for A/B testing.
- **Idea 4: Instagram Carousel** [05:10] — Break the blog post into 5-7 slides with key takeaways, highlights, and one-liners in a visual, easy-to-digest format.
- **Idea 5: Instagram Reel or TikTok** [05:46] — Summarize the blog in 30-60 seconds or take one tip and go in-depth. Can be split into multiple reels for each key point.
- **Idea 6: Email Newsletter** [06:13] — Use the blog post as a basis for an email, but present it as fresh content rather than just a link to the blog.
- **Idea 7: LinkedIn Posts** [06:43] — Repurpose the main points into a native LinkedIn article, linking back to the blog for backlinks and expanded digital footprint.
- **Idea 8: Quote Graphics and Threads** [07:23] — Pull powerful sentences and stats into quote graphics or Threads posts. Use AI to extract one-liners and schedule them over weeks.
- **Idea 9: Infographic** [08:21] — Turn the blog into an infographic to cater to visual learners. Different formats help people digest information in different ways.
- **Idea 10: Guest Post** [09:43] — Expand one section of the blog into a standalone guest post for another website, leveraging collaboration and reaching new audiences.
- **Systemizing Repurposing** [11:03] — Create a checklist for each blog post, consider a custom GPT, batch design visuals, and outsource parts to save time.

## Transcript

post into 10 pieces of content. And I'm not talking about just sharing content and directing people to your blog. Cuz while I do think that that's great, I respond to that as well as they used to. And people really want fresh content
that is geared toward the platform that they're on versus a bunch of recycled writer. So, if we haven't met yet, I'm Cara, owner of the Cara Report, and I write blogs for business owners for a living. It's literally what I do for
work. And this is most of these ideas I actually got from my clients and just like from doing the work that I do to make the blogs that they are paying me to write go a lot further. So, if you're online business often feels trapped by
they're constantly trying new things, they're just like sometimes throwing like super inspired. often it's one or the other with very little in between. So, first I just want to talk about why repurposing matters. Content burnout. I
Five signs you're headed straight for it. And I'm going to link to that in the description box below. When I talk about repurposing blog posts, there's two real ways that you can do it. So, one, you're can be promoting the blog post on
your list, you're letting them know there's a new blog post and that they stories or Instagram posts like, "Hey, I have a new blog post up." That's one going to dive in deeper, is actually taking that content to create new pieces
of things. Blog posts are truly evergreen anchors and they're just like formats. That's part of the reason I love the work so much. The other reason is obviously because of the long staying power. So, if you're kind of like new to
one of the things I love about search driven marketing is like if people are looking for your business on Google or ChatgPT, these blog posts can show up like something like an Instagram post that lasts 48 hours. Choose the right
blog post to repurpose. So, first I want blog post, but I don't necessarily think that every blog post needs to be there's a few qualities that make for a great repurposable vlog. So, one, it's
an evergreen topic, which means it's not seasonal or not too timely. It's not going to be like 2026 marketing trends or like ways to prep your business for Christmas or whatever it is. Those things will work if you repurpose them
like what I'm talking about here, which is like a larger part of your evergreen marketing strategy. I also think it solves a key audience problem. So sometimes I think it's interesting and like a good idea to blog about those
like more niche questions or questions your customers ask or maybe like audience that not like all of your Instagram followers or whatever are going to relate to. But when we look up blog posts that work the best in these
audience problem a lot of people are relating to. And then also a clear structure with multiple sections. So, I have a whole PDF guide on how to write to that in the description box. Basically, just check out the
description box for all these goodies. But without further ado, I'm going to talk about my 10 repurposing ideas. So, number one, YouTube video. And this one not talked about as much. I have seen clients take the blog post that I wrote
and then turn it into a YouTube video. I have done this for myself actually recently, not this specific one, but first I take all my YouTube videos, I this one in the show notes just like give you an example, but one of my
favorite things is to see clients who take older blog posts that I've written. channel, they're like, "Hey, I have all this content bagged up especially. Why don't I just record YouTube videos explaining the content?" And it's a
camera and really get to that authority building piece with like literally such have to show up, you have to be the face and to bring your energy, but it's not with any of the content. So, I think that's huge. The second one, which is
very, very similar, is a podcast episode. You can record yourself expanding on your blog's key points. You can honestly just go over the points. You can add personal stories for depth. I don't necessarily think that works as
well in a blog post. Like I've seen people, not that you can't incorporate any storytelling in a blog post, but you can't really add a ton of nuance and longer stories to a blog post because people just do not read it. I wish they
did, right? People really skim it. People do a vibe check. People want to get like the highlights versus like the way that you can like talk in a 20, 30, Pinterest pins. So, this is more of a way to get people to read your blog
post, but I think I can never not talk about Pinterest. I also do Pinterest. I writing in Pinterest, so I'm a little bit biased, but every pin can highlight a different angle of the blog and like attract people who might not have read
it otherwise. And you can kind of like AB test on a large scale in Pinterest. As well as Pinterest gets your site back links, it makes your site look stronger to Google and helps the blog post rank. So, it's kind of just like winw win win.
So many reasons I love Pinterest. Four, you could turn it into an Instagram carousle. For any of these, but especially these like next ones, usually blog post in. Be like, don't add to this, right? We don't want Taji just
making up stuff, but break down the blog post into five to seven slides with key takeaways. Put it in a visual, easy to digest format. Throw in slides of like the highlights, the oneliners, the big points. That can be really great
content. And it doesn't you don't even need to say on Instagram the king robo vlog. You don't have to say read the vlog for more. You can if you want, but though the content was originally
Instagram real or Tik Tok. There's two ways you can do it. You can summarize the blog really quickly like 5 seconds to XYZ and just talk about that in 30 to 60 seconds whatever people's attention span they're allowing nowadays. But then
you can also just take one tip from a blog and go as in-depth as you can get in 30 to 60 seconds. And literally if you have like let's say five signs, you or you could turn it into five individual reels or turn it into one
points. Number six, email newsletter. So again, I told you already at the list and let them know that a new blog post is available, but you can also email like, "Hey, I was just thinking about this. I wanted to make sure you
think it always needs to be like credited back to a blog post. I think we can like really pretend that it's fresh content. Okay, number seven, LinkedIn posts. So I think that this can be kind of similar to the other types of content
that we posted. But it is important to consider that LinkedIn has articles too. So I think it can be easy even easier almost to repurpose because you just take the main points. You pair them back a little bit and then post them natively
as a LinkedIn article and then link to a blog post. Again, this is like number three with Pinterest. Backlinks matter. Enhancing your digital footprint or expanding your digital footprint matters. So having it like the full blog
post is posted here. Again, don't lead with the link because LinkedIn wants to platforms. But that can be a really great way to repurpose your blog content. Number eight is either quote graphics, but I'm even going to add as a
graphics, but I'm even going to add as a little update for 2025 threads posts, right? So pull powerful sentences, stats from the blog. Again, use AI to do this. there and then pull out the best oneliners using AI or the main key
points or like anything. I think quote graphics can be great and I also think about threads is like I will literally take a blog post, I'll put in an AI OS for the best oneliners and then I will drop the oneliners for like if it pulls
12 out, I'll drop like what a week for the next like 3 months. That way your thread strategy sheet doesn't look like super concentrated on like, oh, I the content you're getting that it kind of like paces you. And it sounds like
time, but if every single week you're adding like one post a week, all of the sudden four weeks in you've got four posts, like it it adds up really fast, I nine, now this isn't going to work for every blog post, so don't come at me.
But if you can or if you're the designer on your team or you love playing in Canva, turning it into an infographic is a great way to repurpose your content because I think one thing that we always kind of like forget like we consciously
know but we forget as business owners is just the different ways people consume information. So for example, I can read a blog post and I can hear a podcast episode and I can look at a infographic of the same kind of content and I'm
going to like pull different things each time. something just the way honestly I love a podcast. I'm a big podcast girl, but I can tell you I know that I'm not on a podcast. Something that I read on a blog post where I can have the blog post
up while I'm like implementing it or an infographic can like help me like digest do all these things work together kind of topic. So, I think that that just like again and the way that people digest your content is really important.
people to not only be like, "Wow, she's really smart." It's like if they they're more likely to really really trust you. You can sound smart, but they're not going to fully trust you unless they actually get a win from
not going to get a win if your only medium is podcasting or Instagram digesting the content that way and taking action on it. So, I think that's something interesting to talk about. Number 10, which is kind of an
unconventional one, but pitch it as a guest post. Now, Google doesn't necessarily love duplicate content, so I wouldn't necessarily like copy your blog post onto somebody else's website necessarily, but taking one section of
that blog and expanding it into a standalone post and then publishing it on somebody else's website. I think that we all are aware that collaboration is of the biggest ways to grow in 2025 when our markets are getting saturated and
reaches at an all-time low. But if you can find places to like show up in front of other people's audience, you're already getting kind of like a shoe in invited them on to this guest post, etc." And then you're taking a piece of
thought leadership content and just like really expanding. Again, this is another 2025 I feel like thing. We need to go deeper with people instead of like wide. People want specific content. They want the nuances in it, I think. So that is
repro the blog, but it can be really effective. And if you're pitching to post something guest blogish, you can show them the original blog post and then prove one that you know how to write a blog. And two, be like, I think
point two is especially relevant to your audience and love to expand on it to a full post. So there you have it, the 10 ways to repurpose your blog content. I also want to just quickly touch on how to systemize repurposing. So, one, I
like to create a checklist so that each blog post automatically generates these assets. If you're techsavvy, you might even want to consider creating a custom GPT for yourself that will help you kind of like spit out multiple different
things after you finish writing the blog. Two, obviously, you just heard me kind of say this with the threads post. That's the work. Design all the visuals in one sitting. Write all the threads post like you know, pull out the things
from the blogs as much as you can. And that's just like a really great way to tasks, we know, is like the biggest time slot. Three, my third thing to say here is consider outsourcing parts to save time. Again, I obviously write blogs, so
hands if that's what you're looking for. But even if that's not what you're blog, your run your blog content through chat GPT. Your designer can design the carousels if you give them what to say. like whoever you have on your team that
can assist you can really like make this into like uh something that you plan to So if you want more strategies to simplify your marketing and avoid turn on notifications, do all the YouTube videos things, and I would love
would save you the most time right now or that you're most excited to try. doing? Which ones you're going to add to your workflow? I would love to grow on your workflow? I would love to grow on comments.
