[00:01] Crunchroll gets a win, I'm willing to admit that Crunch Roll got a win. And so before I even get into that, I need to lay down the foundation for this subject matter at hand because honestly, this story is outright insane and you're not
[00:15] ready for the twist and turns I'm going to be talking about in this video. So, there is three major factions currently at war with each other on the internet. The ReZero community, the Bleach community, and the Mushaku Tensei
[00:28] community. All three anime have had outright fantastic episodes I would say is close to perfection. We had the Bleach episode that fundamentally changed how people view characters after decades. We had the um the ReZero
[00:41] episode that had the return of a character that's been missing for over a decade and was an emotional moment that I think a lot of people cried to watching the episode. And then we had the Mushakutinsensei episode that had
[00:53] one of the most realistic crashes for a character and showcased a dark depiction of what it means to actually transport and reincarnate into a fantasy world. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. So all three of these different anime had
[01:07] outright insane episodes that are fantastic and a lot of people are enjoying them for very good reasons because they are actually insanely good. when it comes to the internet, people cannot just leave it at that. You have
[01:22] faction wars, tribalism, and there has been a heavy depiction of just this outright hatred for one series in particular, and that is Mushiku Tensei. Now, I feel like it's very obvious at this point that there is a lot of people
[01:37] that have so much disdain for the series, and they will outright just series, and they will outright just spread obvious lies just to be able to get the series slandered. We had Kotaku literally make a actual article straight
[01:50] up calling the offer a pedophile out for no reason at all because they decided to write uncomfortable fictional content. And it was very clear anyone that looked at their article, they had to have ran that through AI and they obviously got a
[02:05] lot of cliffotes probably from a wiki page. And this is the same type of regurgitated mess that you see a lot of people say for Musha Coutensei literally since basically it began. But it's really increased thanks to season 3
[02:18] airing. And you see this constantly. You see the exact same thing. People will say Diddy Tinsi. People call the offer, you know, obviously a criminal. Call the fans a criminal. You get the point. The point here is is that Mushku Tensei has
[02:31] point here is is that Mushku Tensei has been under a lot of slander and outright just hatred by people that don't even read or watch this series. And the because obviously in this day and age, especially in the the last year, there's
[02:45] been a heavy focus on a lot of people, you know, using IMDb to rate their favorite anime. And this has kind of become the new My Anime list. For an old head, you'll know that a lot of people that used to rate anime used My
[03:00] Anime list. And and in in fact actually my anime list has turned into a battleground as well where you have like Bleach and ReZero and Free Ren and Full Metal Alchemist and even Jojo Still Ball Run competing for the top five spots.
[03:14] And I will I will talk about this in a second like this is a separate matter but basically we have had the entire situation to where a lot of people now for some reason new fans are using IMDb as a indicator of the success of their
[03:28] story success of their series being very popular and that anything that isn't rated that high is outright garbage. This is what people are using now. For rid of using my anime list and they've shifted over to IMDb. And the thing is
[03:43] is when it first started to be used, it was a little bit more trustworthy than my anime list. But now it's very clear that it has devolved into just review bombing, fake tins, fake ones, and overall bot counts that are just
[03:57] spreading complete misinformation. And I just want to show a few moments of like these one out of tens that are on the latest episode of Mushikainsi. Like you see people outright having an agenda here saying Bleach is way better. You
[04:10] have like Bleach and Peak Zero is way better. It was Ichigo and they're just talking about something completely different that is not even from the episode of MT rating it a one out of 10 score talking about ReZero calling it
[04:22] Diddy Tensei saying overrated bringing up Bleach. It's very clear what's going on here. And this is a really massive like stain on IMDb. I I don't feel like anyone should take IMDb seriously to begin with, but I feel like the fact
[04:37] that all these things could be here and it showcases a fundamental flaw of just how misused the system is shows that you cannot take any of these ratings on the site seriously whatsoever because it's very clear how much is being
[04:51] reviewbombed by bots. People are creating bots. I showed this in my video guides and different tactics to be able to rate up their favorite series like ReZero Higher, but also to downvote everything as well. There is clearly an
[05:05] incentive to make Mushi Gutensi look as bad as possible. Now, the reason why communities, Bleach and Re:Zero, it's not just these individuals le leaving reviews trying to slander the series, but there is actively individuals, which
[05:20] I'm going to show right here, that are literally asking Bleach fans to target Mushuki and get Mushkuteni downloaded. For instance, ReZero's community was downloading the hell out
[05:32] of Bleach's episode because it reached 10 out of 10. And then they in turn when reviewbombed, they tried to shift it over that it was Musha Cutensi's fault. And now you have the Bleach community and the ReZero community outright
[05:45] targeting the Musha Cut Tensei community. Like you have a Bleach it. And it's very clear what's going on here. There is an incentive that both of these communities are ganging up on MT to get the series rated as low as
[05:58] possible. And I feel like this is very apparent that, you know, there is there is a fundamental flaw in people's logic here. It's Mushkutensei fans do not use IMDb. They they do not use this site to rate their series as much as let's say
[06:13] shownen heads like Bleach fans and stuff or ReZero because well, I'm I'm just going to say it like it is, okay? Like I I hate to say this, but Re:Zero has also become a product of very mainstream anime in the last few years. It is it
[06:28] it's honestly become like the shownen equivalent for the the genre that it's in and a lot of people that are larers or really don't have any love for the the type of storytelling that ReZero does just joins in the community because
[06:43] those same individuals that let's say jump on JJK, they jump on Bleach, they Man and stuff, they're the same people kind of jumping to ReZero. And the same individuals that try to deny that top sensei the author of ReZero isn't a
[07:00] lollycon that he doesn't like lollies. I mean you're not telling me he's making he's not a lollycon and been approving all the art and stuff. If you've seen the illustrations you know it it's very apparent. What I'm getting at is is that
[07:12] there is a lot of people that are jumping into Re:Zero and it's the same group that you see from all the major battle shown in anime that's become very popular in the 2020s. And so that is why there is an adjacent like a correlation
[07:27] here with IMTB and why they use it so much is because it's the same type of groups trying to justify their series. So that gets back into Mushiku Tensei's review bombing. So, the reason why this is so interesting is because Mushku
[07:41] site. If they're going to use any site, they'll probably use my anime list. And even then, I doubt they would even use that. And that gets into what I started this video off with. Crunch roll. So, Crunch, for those that are completely
[07:56] unaware, I don't like their service. I think I made this very apparent, but Crunchel does have a feature that a lot of people might be completely unaware of people might be completely unaware of, and that is a rating system. Yeah, I
[08:08] completely unaware of this, but if you go to an episode that's on, you know, Crunch Roll, you will scroll down and you will see a like button and a down here, I'll put it here or I'll put it here, you can see that it actively
[08:23] here, you can see that it actively works. It even shows the dislikes of the mean, finally a dislike button, you can actually see. But shots aside, the point here is is that you could see from the episode, this is the latest episode that
[08:38] is being reviewbombed into the ground. There is literally almost 40,000 people that like this episode. And so when you compare it to the review bombing on IMDb, for instance, you have 6,000 one out of 10 and only, for instance, 3.7K
[08:53] 10. It's obvious that no fan of Mushkutensei is likely using this site little bit more concrete proof that it's not just, let's say, this episode, let me show you other examples. So, we'll go to MT and let's go to the previous
[09:08] previous episode. And if you take a look here, it has 50,000 likes and only 500 dislikes. So, I mean, it's very clear that it is actively used, especially on MT, the fans that like this. I mean,
[09:22] We'll go to the first episode of season 3. And if you take a look, 65,000. It's very very like level. Like it it seems like the the ratings and stuff for the episodes are not just like randomly 50,000 here and there. It it's clear
[09:37] that there is consistency with the ratings for the anime, which let's get into another series. Let's talk about ReZero and showcase its ratings. Okay, could see, and let's just pull up the
[09:50] to this episode and we look at the ratings, it has 38,000 likes on the latest episode. And I feel like I'm starting to see why maybe the ReZero community is not very happy with MT, especially when one of its good best
[10:07] episodes after 10 years waiting for a certain character to come back. Um, certain character to come back. Um, straight up has less likes than this episode of of Mishkeni. You can see where some of
[10:19] can see there is consistency with the likes. Like let's go to a previous episode to just show. Let's go to this episode. You will see this one has 43,000. Let's go to the first episode. Let's be very fair. First episode of uh
[10:33] you know, season 4. We'll go here. And if we take a look, you will see 25,000 likes. So yeah, I think it's obvious people do use the likes here and that there is definitely a massive fan base, especially for MT that really like these
[10:48] episodes. Actually, let's um let's let's do a different one. Let's do a different season. Like uh let's go to a previous season. Let's go to season 2. Okay, season 2 was fundamentally a lot of people had mixed feelings on, even the
[11:00] that's actually in this since anime's grown 48,000. Okay, I I think yeah, you know what? Let's do Re:Zero. I think that's only fair. Let's do a season 2 as well to be very consistent. Let's uh let's do this
[11:13] very consistent. Let's uh let's do this episode and let's see. 15,000. there is clearly a lot of Mushiku Tensei fans that do not use IMDb or My Anime
[11:31] series on the site because they're probably unaware of this situation. And so the fact that you have Bleach fans blaming Mushku Tensei for review bombing when it's clearly ReZero fans doing it and it's very obvious they're doing it,
[11:45] especially with the reviews that are being left on the episodes. I think it says enough. So yeah, I am uh legitimately floored that Crunch actually has a feature that really gets a better indication on how people are
[11:58] feeling about a series. Like I mean I I I think this says enough. I I I think concrete and I feel like yes, you can definitely bought some of these likes, but I feel like a lot of people don't know about Crunch's likes and dislike
[12:13] ratings in comparison to IMDb cuz like all the shownen fans, they use that they use that site. They use my anime list and that site. They don't they don't use I feel like a lot of people that are liking this stuff on Crunch Roll are the
[12:27] silent while they watch anime. They don't participate probably in a lot of discussions and that is very interesting. Honestly, it's it's food for thought to see how many people are actually enjoying the series. Now,
[12:40] another thing I do want to talk about which I did already mention is my anime list. So, there is an a war going on as well on the site and look my anime list has always been uh a site that you can't like really trust as well. It's very
[12:54] similar to IMDb. its ratings and stuff get completely destroyed. I mean, we we see every time there is a a brand new anime with a great episode, it instantly jumps to the top three, top one spot for the best
[13:06] anime of all time. And obviously, that is just Yeah, it shows a fundamental issue. But also, I I look, this is going to be a hot take. I don't think that Still Ball Run should be in the top five. Now, look, it's an amazing part.
[13:22] Incredible. And the episode that came out was incredible. But I want to make this obvious. There's only one episode of Still Ball Run that has released. You're telling me Still Ball Run is in the top five best anime of all time with
[13:38] the top five best anime of all time with one episode out of the thousands upon thousands of anime? You're telling me Still Ball Run with one episode is better than that? No, you're not. you're you're you you can't tell with a
[13:52] straight face like no. Okay, if it maybe was a complete season, then there could be some argument had. But the point is one episode this shows a fundamental issue in the rating system. And then also Bleach. Look, okay, I love the
[14:07] Bleach episode. I would probably also rate it maybe a nine out of 10 or 10 out of 10. It was that good. But you're not telling me that Bleach with its last telling me that Bleach with its last season, it has it is a top three best
[14:21] season, it has it is a top three best anime. Like look, I love Bleach a lot. It is a special series and I'm glad it's getting redemption, but there's no way a final season is like jumping this high.
[14:34] like it shouldn't jump that high amongst everything when there is so much other like just like one of the big issues my anime list has is that it splits seasons for different shows like for instance if you uh watch Mushku Tensei season one
[14:47] for example that is the only thing that can be rated on like on my anime list can't have all the seasons combined into one to give it like a 10 out of 10 or something. So the point here is is that Bleach's final season with only 10
[15:00] episodes or technically five getting this high is also ridiculous. It it is a lot of things here that really just show how broken the My Anime List system show how broken the My Anime List system is. And even ReZero's fourth season
[15:15] as well. I mean, it's not even a complete season. It's just it's just people that are using these sites are you know, they like to boost these numbers with bots and review bombs and
[15:30] everything. It's just legitimately pathetic. But I'm going to leave it at that. I wanted to talk about this cuz this was just crazy seeing Crunch actually have a win with having a rating system, likes on their stuff and all
[15:43] that. I think that really shows, you know, something that Crunch does, right? well, maybe there would be even more wins that this company could get. But I will leave it at that. Be safe, stay healthy.
