[00:00] Bro, came across your video last week. I'm interested in building a TikTok theme page from scratch. Can you do a case study where you build a TikTok theme page from scratch up to 10k followers and monetising through creator funds? What are the do's and don'ts when starting because I'm afraid to have copyright issues along the way and what editing tools you use?
[00:16] No worries, Raging Potato, I'll see what I can do. And so, I've set out the task of turning this page into a page with over 10,000 followers, all of which being in the following next 7 days. But, in order for me to carry out this task, a lot of in-depth research needs to be done.
[00:30] And so, I headed out to complete my task. But, I needed some help. I opened up my laptop and went straight to YouTube, where I was in desperate attempt to find someone that would guide me to help me build this TikTok page. And the first thing that came up, the one that stood out on top of all the rest,
[00:44] was this handsome, greenish-looking-like Ben Basson. He provided all the information that I needed on growing TikTok theme pages, including within his latest video where I followed his 9 steps in building a TikTok theme page to 1000 followers within 24 hours.
[00:57] And so with all this knowledge, I was ready. I would be endlessly scrolling on the food page in aim to try and find the content that I thought would get me over that 10,000 follower benchmark just within 7 days. That content being within the TV animated series list.
[01:11] And so I had my target audience, but I needed a catchy name. Then it came to me. Stimp Simpsons. Next, I was in need of a logo. I've scammed the internet for hours until I came across this. Then, with Ben's guidance I was able to construct an informative, yet inspirational, bio.
[01:26] Next, I needed some high quality original content. So I went back to YouTube, and I started recording all of the people's best work on confirmation videos of The Simpsons. Then, after downloading CapCut, the best free editing software for iPhone and Android,
[01:40] I was then ready to start grinding out some posts. Daylight was quickly disappearing on day one, and the page barely looked any different than what it started with. at this point I knew what I had to do. I filled up my account with drafts to the point where my phone was exhausted of storage and at this point I made sure that there was no hour of the day where I had
[01:56] a moment where my account did not upload. By the time I fell asleep on day one the account had just hit 100 followers with just over 120 likes on the page but at this moment I laid all my faith within TikTok American audience in hoping that they would carry my account through the night The morning of day two had arrived and I woke up to this TikTok American audience completely
[02:15] solo squatted carried us throughout the night and within 24 hours later of making the account Vince Simpsons now had 1.1k followers with over 90,000 likes and an additional 400,000 views making the total views for the account over 525,000.
[02:30] At this point in time, I was so over the moon, so over the moon, in fact, that I had the audacity to try and monetize the page this early into the challenge, of where I added Amazon-affiliated products within the bio on the link tree, as well as Simpsons-related products on the TikTok shop.
[02:43] And so far, I owed all the success from the account down to this one post, which currently at the time stood at over 500,000 views. Day three of the challenge came around, and something was up, but it wasn't my following. The account had been shadow banned.
[02:55] The page went from having over 400,000 views on day 2 to just over 87,000 on day 3, only narrowly increasing the views to 612,000, again with the likes bringing it to 94,000,
[03:08] and a very depressing increase in followers of around 170 for the day, bringing the total following to 1.2k followers. But I stuck at it. I was determined to not let this shadowban get in the way of me completing
[03:20] this task. So I continued uploading as much as possible, uploading every single hour where possible. Day 4 came around and it was the same old story. All the posts were getting absolutely no recognition whatsoever. The page for the day had an even more depressing
[03:34] number of 45.8k views, bringing the total views for the page to 657,000, despite finally crossing over 100,000 likes on the page. However, surprisingly, considering the dire situation
[03:46] at that moment the account had gone up to 1.8k followers. Day 5 and the sales I had listed and I could see the creator fund within my reach. We went from around 45,000 views on day 4 to now around 557,000 views on day 5 bringing the total views up to 1.2 million and with the additional 100,000
[04:04] likes bringing the total likes to 200 and most importantly gaining a thousand followers for the day leaving us at the end of day 5 with 3 followers on the page However with only two days left of completing the task there was still a lot more work to be done
[04:19] Day 6 came round and the account had its biggest day yet, where the account saw approximately 945,000 views, with another additional 100,000 likes, bringing the total likes now to 405,000. But most importantly, our following had now gone over halfway and we are now sitting at 5,200 followers.
[04:36] However, despite the recent success on the page by this point, we had only just reached half way of the task with very little time to go, and all of our efforts in completing this task laid on the shoulders of Day 7. As the sun rose up on Day 7, I hesitantly picked up my phone to check the account, to
[04:51] find out that yet again, that TikTok's American audience had carried us yet again through the night, with the account saw back to back all time high views for the day, being at just over 1.3 million views, with another additional 100,000 likes, at this point bringing
[05:04] our total views to the account was 3.5 million and most importantly with the additional 2,000 followers bringing the total followers to the account to just over 6,500. This was our chance. This was our moment. This was the breakthrough the account needed in completing
[05:20] this task. Yet again throughout day 7 I couldn't leave my phone alone, making no end of posts, completely saturating the for you page of Simpsons posts and after a long day's hard work we can only hope and wait for the final results the next morning.
[05:34] Results day was in. Going straight into the analytics the results were looking good everywhere we looked. Views were approximately 642,000 for the day, bringing the total views for the past 7 days being 4 million, bringing the total likes on the count to 525,000, but most importantly, being the increase in followers being 1.1k, which brought up a total following after the past 7 days of 7,500.
[06:01] it was over. The task had not been met. The mission had failed miserably. Riots broke out to the streets. Every son on Mumburg was left crying. The stock market collapsed entirely and Ben Basson dreams of hitting 1k subs on YouTube came crumbling down But it didn matter because we picked ourselves up and we posted again Of which I can currently say that I have the confidence in that this page will have 10 followers by the time this video is out
[06:30] Didn't need that much longer. Just off the back of this challenge, I've changed the account just a little bit. Just purely because I've noticed that there's an overall trend that a lot of people aren't really that bothered about the Simpsons anymore. and especially on TikTok other animated TV shows like Family Guy for example are getting way more
[06:46] views and not just with views because well with our page views wasn't really an issue especially because of the fact that we got around 4 million for the past seven days it was just the engagement of those views we only managed to get seven and a half thousand followers off 4 million views
[07:00] so something there is screaming out that a lot of people aren't really that bothered about the symptoms so basically as from this point forwards I can't change the account name for now another 30 days but I've changed up the content ever so slightly and now started to post family guy
[07:13] content as well despite that we are now earning through the creator fund on this account so just within the past week or so we've now got another page being monetized through the TikTok creator fund so alongside the other page I'll be earning a little bit extra through this account as well as
[07:25] but overall the whole point in this challenge was just basically to show how quickly you can grow a theme page especially through TikTok and this is the first time making a page within this niche and I've got to say the posts were so easy and so quick to make that I managed to make enough
[07:38] and post them in and around working as well as some overall messages really that anyone can make time to run a page if they really want to if they're simply just looking for an extra little bit of income through the creator fund even though it might not be a lot in my opinion the money that
[07:51] you can get paid for it is worth it for the time that actually needed to be put into the page and especially on tiktok if you can keep being consistent with your page within a short period of time you'll be able to grow your page quite quickly even though i made this page just purely
