This is your daily fix. [00:28] arrive on November 19th. Pre-orders for the $80 game went live last month, and enormous of a launch this is going to be. Analyst Newzoo, in a report seen by Forbes, predicts GTA 6 will enjoy the biggest entertainment launch ever, and [00:42] if these numbers prove true, nothing else will have ever come close. Newzoo estimates GTA 6 has already earned up to 260 million in pre-orders. The analyst explains, by way of Forbes, "Run that figure through the plausible band of [00:54] pre-order curves, and GTA 6 is on track to book between 3.25 billion and 5.2 billion in week one launch revenue." Now, GTA 5 made a billion in three days back in 2013. Anecdotally, there is even [01:08] more hype for GTA 6 this year. We've been waiting 13 [snorts] years for this. Plus, GTA 5 was a $60 game. GTA 6 is $80 or $100 for the ultimate edition, which I know a lot of you will spring for. For comparison to other entertainment [01:22] year is Super Mario Galaxy, which just barely made over a billion, and it took it over two months to reach that goal. So, 3 billion or more for GTA 6 in just one week? Well, we're just over 4 months from finding out. [01:36] Moving on, Ubisoft has scrapped plans to tease a new Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resync in-game reward after one player miraculously discovered it by accident, Black Flag Resync has an enormous ocean, with players likely seeing only a [01:50] fraction of it so far. So, it's frankly incredible that one player happened to find this week's community treasure hunt chest before Ubisoft dropped the clue to its whereabouts. And inside it, a rare outfit for pirate turned assassin Edward [02:02] Kenway, which players thought had been left out of this remake. On Twitter, discovery with good humor, acknowledging that this outfit had been intended as seeking to claim the chest for themselves, the exact coordinates for it [02:15] are 28 by 292. If you're keen to click them all, yet another reward has been found, too. This time, a rapier and figurehead. Head to 500 by 168 for those. Good sailing. And finally today, Pokémon Go players [02:29] are acting in disgust after seeing fans who were handpicked to attend the game's ultra-exclusive 10th anniversary Times Square event now selling off their unique Mewtwo on eBay for thousands of dollars, breaking the game's rules in [02:41] the process. Last week, Pokémon Go celebrated its first decade of operation New York, where around 2,000 hardcore fans, as well as media and influencers, took part in a unique Times Square battle to capture Mewtwo. The event [02:54] community and generated a wave of complaints at the special treatment awarded a unique Mewtwo with a special Times Square cosmetic background and perfect hundo stats. While the cosmetic background is a nice-to-have, the fact [03:08] players were given a hundo Mewtwo was startling. The game has never gifted a the timing couldn't have been much worse. Ahead of a weekend of Mewtwo player base, who needed to spend time grinding for even a chance at such a [03:22] event's attendees were community ambassadors, vetted but unpaid superfans developer Scopely Explore, previously Niantic, to galvanize local players. profit off their attendance by selling [03:36] completed listings show the creature being sold for up to $5,000. A string of further in-progress listings can also be found, with one currently selling Pokémon like this breaks the [03:49] that many of these listings discuss flying to complete the in-game trade who cheat by spoofing their in-game location, another banned activity. With only around 2,000 attendees, it would likely not be too difficult to examine [04:03] which players no longer have their unique Mewtwo and which may have made make the trade.
