Air fryer. They are supposed to be
convenient, making your life easier. And
on today's video, I'm going to be
testing some impossible recipes. Have
you ever made mac and cheese in an air
fryer? You will see the results I'll be
getting today. But most importantly, how
about steak? You love steak? I love
steak. I've gotten some okay results,
but never perfect. I just finished
eating this steak right here, and I'm
completely speechless. And I start off
with my favorite piece of meat. These
are pecas, the greatest steak in the
world. So after seasoning them with
salt, pepper, and garlic powder, the
next thing I needed to do was to allow
the salt to penetrate deeply in there.
So I set them down on a cooling rack and
stuck them in my refrigerator for 2
hours. That was perfect because now it
allowed me time to test some other
things with this air fryer. This is a
very innovative air fryer. And I'm going
to run it to some crazy tests because
take a look at this. Have you ever made
a mac and cheese in an air fryer? Me
neither. Because check out how this is
put together. I got the large bottom
container, added cheddar cheese,
followed by a generous amount of
American cheese. After that, I just
added plain macaroni without being
cooked. Then I threw in some paprika,
followed by garlic powder, some black
pepper, some salt, and MSG. Then I added
1 cup of water, followed by 1 cup of
milk. The only thing left to do now was
to stuck it in the air fryer and set it
to 330° F for 15 minutes. Once 10
minutes was up, I took it off. And look,
it didn't look that appetizing. That's
because it needed to be stirred. At
first, I thought there's no way this is
going to work. But the more I mixed it,
I started becoming a believer. One of
the interesting things about this air
fry is that it has dual heating
elements, one on the bottom and one on
the top, unlike any other. And as you
can clearly see, the more I mix this,
the creamier this thing became. But of
course, it needed more milk. So, I went
ahead and added, mixed it a little bit
more, and in it goes for another 5
minutes. Once the time was up, I took it
out and take a look at it. It definitely
needed more milk as the pasta was
completely absorbing everything. To
finish this off, I added pink of
breadrumbs so that I can get a nice
crunch. I put it right back in for an
additional 5 minutes. And once that was
done, I was now ready to try. I'm going
to be honest with you guys, I am shocked
by the results so far. And I mean, it's
not the best mac and cheese I've ever
made, but the convenience of this is
just absolutely ridiculous. But the
taste is always the most
important. I cannot believe it actually
worked. Seriously, everybody, I know
you're going to ask me, is it a perfect
mac and cheese? No, it's not perfect,
but it tastes very nice for what it is.
You know, I've been to a few restaurants
that serve mac and cheese worse than
this. I am amazed that this actually
worked. It freaking worked. Yep. I
cannot believe how well this worked. And
one of my favorite parts about this air
fryer is that it has a self-cleaning
feature. Cleans at 500° to break down
grease and grime. It's going to be easy
to clean this up because believe me, for
this next dish, I thought it was going
to be impossible. It is a blooming onion
done directly on the air fryer. Let me
show you. First thing to do is to make a
seasoned flour. I started with
all-purpose flour, followed by paprika,
salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Mix that up real good and set it aside.
Next, you need a white onion and this a
lid of any container. You want to set
the onion down just like this because as
soon as you start cutting it, it will
prevent you from going all the way down,
allowing you to cut this perfectly,
making the job a lot easier to do. As
you can see, once I was done, it made
the job a breeze. Next, to remove some
of the bitterness of the onion. For
that, you just got to soak it in water
for a little bit. As once that's done,
you want to squeeze all of the excess
water. And we got to make a quick
batter. First, you throw in some eggs,
followed by milk. Mix that up real good
and go ahead and soak the onion in there
as now you want to transfer to the
seasoned flour. Make sure to add a
generous amount of flour between the
petals. Believe me when I tell you
friends, the more the better here.
Repeat the process once again because
after adding to the batter one more
time, put it down on a bowl and add
bread crumbs on top of it. As now you
want to set it down on the air fryer and
it is now ready to be cooked. Talking
about that, this air fryer has 15
different types of cooking functions. It
can do literally anything. But for the
blooming onion, I'm just going to go
with the air fryer setting at 375° F for
about 20 minutes. But make sure to check
it in between so it does not burn. As
once the time was up, take a look. That
got me super excited. And it was all
done on an air fryer. To finish this
off, I just added some ranch. And it was
now ready to try. If you ever go to a
restaurant like Outback Steak Houses and
even Texas Roadhouse, they serve this.
And the fact that you can do it at home
with an air fryer, it is absolutely
amazing to me. Let's see if it tastes as
good as it looks.
Cheers. I was skeptical with this one.
I'll be honest with you. I thought it
was going to burn because the heating
element is so close. As you can see, got
a little bit of char. Yes. But it's just
like nice crispiness. It is exactly what
you want. I can't believe it. This is a
20 out of 10. Seriously. And it worked
extremely well. I can't believe it's so
good. It's so good. Damn, man. Now, I
was ready for some protein. This is
super simple and easy to make. You first
want to cut down your chicken breast
just like this. Make sure to make a
generous amount, especially if your air
fryer has a high capacity like mine. To
season it, I just used a barbecue rub.
Since there's no salt involved, make
sure to be generous with it. Once it's
fully seasoned, you want to wrap it in
bacon. Just make sure to keep the seams
down. As once you're done, you want to
lay it down just like this on your air
fryer, one at a time. The dual heat on
this air fryer will cook the bacon
perfectly. I just set it to 350° F and
I'm going to let it go for about 20
minutes. Once the time was up, take a
look. It cooked it to perfection. Only
thing left to do was to plate it up. Add
a little spicy mayo to it. And it was
now ready for a taste test. I'm going to
go a little bit with the Sriracha mayo
right here.
Cheers. Oh my god. M. It is steaming
hot. It is so good. And it's perfectly
golden brown, which the air fryer is
fantastic for it. As it's a convection
oven, it's heating everything evenly.
It's just chicken and bacon, but it just
hits right. You know what I
mean?
Wow. Probably one of the easiest thing
to make on an air fryer. But now, now
remember, this air fry is quite big. So,
I want to see what happens when you cook
a pizza on it, fresh and frozen. Let's
see how it stacks up. First thing to do
is to preheat the air fryer. Once the
time is up, I went ahead and grabbed
some fresh dough, laid it straight down
as I want to first precook the whole
thing. After 10 minutes, take a look. It
pre-cooked it nicely because the dual
heating is the key of this air fryer.
Next, I went ahead and brushed a
generous amount of olive oil throughout
the whole thing. Then, I added some
pizza sauce, followed by a generous
amount of fresh mozzarella. Then, back
into the air fryer it went. Once the
time was up, I took it off and I was
shocked because take a look at this
pizza. It cooked it to perfection. Nice
golden brown color and it reminded me
almost like faukatcha. To finish this
pizza off, I added a generous amount of
olive oil followed by some fresh basil.
This is a fresh dough pizza that was
cooked on an air fryer. I mean,
seriously, I was looking forward to see
the best part, which is the taste
test. I mean, I mean, the proof is in
the pudding, everybody. To me, it's very
similar to faukatcha. Not really
Neapolitan style pizza, but
nevertheless, man, I am excited to try.
I'm actually more excited to try the
crust. So, let's give it a
go. Oh, wow. It's super crispy the
front. Oh, wow. It's actually good. It's
actually very good. Wow. This is not an
Italian pizza whatsoever. It is nice and
crunchy. It baked the bottom perfectly,
which is what you want. This crust is
golden brown. The fact that I don't have
to heat up my pizza oven in order to
make a New York style pizza. It's super
quick and easy. I mean, it doesn't beat
that. It's so good. Just in case you're
wondering, you can obviously make frozen
pizza as well. There's a function for
that, too. But next, I wanted the
ultimate test, which was my steaks. Take
a look at them. Perfectly dry brine. The
salt penetrated deeply in there, and
it's nice and dry. And hopefully, we're
going to get a good crust. I started by
setting the function to steak. First
thing to do is to let it preheat for 4
minutes. Once the time was up, I went
ahead and immediately put the steak in
there. I got a nice sizzle, too. This
was looking promising. As soon as the
time was up, I opened it up. And take a
look at this crust. I can honestly say
the best crust I ever had on an air
fryer. I wanted to know if the steak was
already fully cooked or not. And for
that, they have this tool, which is a
wireless thermometer that will sync
perfectly with your air fryer. Or you
can just use this hub and keep watching
it. And I love that it comes with two
probes, which is perfect for this cook.
So, I went ahead and insert them inside
to make sure that they were going to
cook to perfection. Then, it immediately
went back in. And in no time at all, it
was ready. Now, take a look at this
crust done on an air fryer. I still
cannot believe my eyes. Never was I able
to get something like this. So, after
letting it rest, it was now time to
slice it. And when I did, look at it.
What else would you want from a steak
done on an air fryer? It looks
absolutely incredible. But in the end of
the day, we all know the most important
thing is always the taste. I'm shocked.
I'm seriously shocked. I cannot believe
this steak was cooked on an air
fryer. I mean, come on. Are you kidding
me? It's exactly what you would expect.
You know, obviously it's not a charcoal
steak, but it is nice and tender,
extremely juicy in order to cook things
properly, get a nice sear. It is not
easy to do, everybody, especially for an
air fryer. And you get this kind of
results. I mean, it doesn't get any more
convenient than this. It's absolutely
insane. Steak is delicious. If you are
going to use an air fryer to cook a
steak, this is the one you want to do it
with, everybody, because I am
speechless. Seriously, I would love to
know which one today was your favorite
recipe. But those are the results. I
hope you guys enjoyed this video. If you
did, hit that thumbs up. If you're not a
subscriber, be sure to subscribe. And
we'll see you guys on the next one. Take
care, everybody. Because now I'm going
to keep enjoying my pikaya on an air
fryer.
