# Live Q&A: Optimizing Your Data Career for 2025 (with Fun Quiz)

> Source: [Live Q&A: Optimizing Your Data Career for 2025 (with Fun Quiz)](https://youtube.com/watch?v=2zHhjB3WfI8)

## Summary

In this live Q&A, the Codebasics founders share their roadmap for optimizing your data career in 2025, covering upcoming channel content, AI trends, and actionable job-search advice. The session includes a fun quiz on data concepts and answers audience questions on topics like Microsoft Fabric, ATS scores, portfolios, and handling layoffs. The core message: embrace continuous learning, build online credibility, and stay disciplined.

### Key Points

- **Upcoming YouTube content themes** [00:03:37] — Codebasics announced four content themes: AI agents, career updates for the AI era, end-to-end industry projects (data analytics and AI/ML/DL), and simple explanations of complex concepts like RAG and agentic AI.
- **AI agents video with Llama 3.3** [00:04:17] — A half-hour tutorial will build a finance agent and a team of agents using the open-source Llama 3.3 model, with publication expected within days.
- **Market dynamics favour learners** [00:07:26] — Enterprise adoption of new tech is slower than hype, so there is time to upskill. Not every change will hit job roles immediately.
- **Electricity analogy for AI adoption** [00:08:07] — AI adoption will be faster than the electricity revolution but still gradual, giving professionals a window to adapt and learn.
- **Sora democratizes creativity** [00:10:12] — Instead of fearing job loss, video editors and designers can use AI tools like Sora to create ads or short films, opening new opportunities.
- **Microsoft Fabric unifies data roles** [00:19:28] — Fabric is a unified analytics platform that brings data engineers, data scientists, and analysts together. Roles are merging, and more Fabric content is planned.
- **ATS score threshold** [00:22:15] — An ATS score above 90 means your resume has a high chance of passing automated filters in application tracking systems.
- **LinkedIn as a differentiator** [00:25:17] — With high supply for data analyst roles, online credibility — through projects, posts, and outreach to hiring managers — is essential to stand out.
- **Scam awareness and job guarantee myth** [00:27:17] — No one can guarantee a job; the market is a multivariate equation. Avoid paid courses that promise placements and instead research free resources first.
- **2025 offline events** [00:35:31] — Codebasics plans more offline meetups, including Delhi in January, a mega event in Hyderabad in Feb/March, and expanded Indian Data Club chapters across cities.
- **Choosing Power BI project domains** [00:38:22] — For Power BI projects, focus on strong domains like FMCG, Automotive, and Healthcare, and functions like Sales and Marketing — align projects with any prior domain experience.
- **MS in US advice** [00:40:13] — The US job market is currently weak. Consider an MS only if you're exceptional in approach (networking, soft skills, online presence) or do thorough research via alumni before committing.
- **Data engineering vs data science** [00:45:46] — Choose based on your strengths: data science needs math/statistics; data engineering needs databases and computer architecture. Both fields have strong demand.
- **Layoff survival playbook** [00:46:45] — Build an emergency fund before layoffs; during a layoff, upskill constantly, network, and look for similar companies in the same domain that are still hiring.
- **How to stand out as a data analyst** [00:50:15] — Combine online credibility on LinkedIn, domain knowledge, and self-driven (unguided) projects to differentiate yourself from the competition.
- **Project portfolio websites matter** [00:52:40] — A portfolio website acts as an online resume. Embed live dashboards, add an intro video, and link your GitHub with polished READMEs to impress recruiters.
- **Search before asking** [01:00:08] — Most career questions are already answered on YouTube or the Codebasics Navigator tool; do your own research before asking for spoon-fed solutions.
- **Discipline over motivation** [01:06:04] — Motivation is temporary; discipline is permanent. For 2025, focus on consistent learning and action rather than waiting for inspiration.

### Conclusion

The live session reinforces that 2025 belongs to those who adapt: build online credibility, work on industry-relevant projects, stay disciplined, and treat AI as a tool for opportunity rather than a threat. Codebasics also announced new courses, bootcamps, and community events to support this journey.

## Transcript

hello everyone hey everyone we are live everyone hey everyone we are live again so I hope everyone can hear us okay just post in the chat box on the right hand side if you can hear us okay
also tell us about uh your location from where you are joining what you do and where you are joining what you do and just tell us like how is it going yeah tell where you're coming from it will be interesting to know
yes so I see few people have joined nandana vishant akang lucky Agarwal meet FAA okay looks like our setup is okay yes
bhan all right so we are going live after a long time we did a live streaming of last Hyderabad event at teub and this is going to be General
live Q&A we will give update for the channel what's coming up new on the channel we'll also talk about some of the initiatives that we are uh doing at
code Basics yes and uh we are going to talk about the topic centered around you know how to optimize your efforts for 2025 pretty sure you know you must be thinking okay what I should do in 2025
ideas and all of those things we can we can discuss that and uh in the tech industry you see there are a lot of changes coming up right you know AI there is some news or another about EI you know you saw this agents thing from
Amazon and uh Google launched something you know new in the quantum Computing you know it broke the internet two days back and uh open is doing this 12 day open I think there is this AI war going on and uh pretty much it's going to
impact all the job roles it's not in not necessarily in the negative way but we can discuss about it right that's that's the that's another the that's another topic yep so we have people from Pune
Tas from Chennai uh R Patel from Gujarat my place okay okay people have started posting questions so folks we'll give uh some Channel updates first then we have some
fun activity also so we'll do one fun activity uh hope you're going to like it and then we'll uh take General Q&A so if you have we'll uh take General Q&A so if you have any questions please hold off for now uh
let us talk about few things and then we'll uh start taking question and answer okay so I think I will share my screen now and I will give General Channel update okay so folks uh YouTube channel
update okay so folks uh YouTube channel code Basics it is the heart of or the code Basics it is the heart of or the code of whatever we do so I know we have Cod basic. where we publish courses boot camps and so on but at the end of the
day YouTube is the place where this journey started and it is very dear to our hearts okay free education education for education education for all was and will remain our Prime
all was and will remain our Prime objective going forward therefore we are coming up with some exciting content on YouTube so I'm going to share my screen YouTube so I'm going to share my screen and I will share what that content is
going to be about okay so I hope you can see my screen now I'm going to use my little writing pad so these are the YouTube videos that we are coming up okay so on YouTube
okay okay okay let me just write it again so
YouTube on YouTube we are coming up with couple of videos or you can say like it's like a theme of videos so number one is going to be AI agents so you have
already heard heard this term AI agent and there are a lot of Frameworks agent and there are a lot of Frameworks such as fire data crew AI Lang graph so we are coming up with first video video on AI agents in next few days it will be
on AI agents in next few days it will be using op Source Lama 3.3 model and we using op Source Lama 3.3 model and we will build a finance agent and a team of Agents it is going to be very interesting video you will love learning
this concept and we'll have more videos as well so but but the first video it will be like little longer like half an hour tutorial that will come up in next few days the video is ready almost maybe we
can publish like tomorrow also tomorrow or Day After Tomorrow the second one is going to be career updates as hem talked about it lot of things are happening in
the space of AI and many people are confused you know whenever like I go in any Gathering recently I was in gathering everyone was talking about okay AI is going to take our jobs so that has become a prominent
theme and people are confused what kind of career they should pursue what kind of career they should pursue what kind of skills they should learn in this uh chaotic age of AI advancements we are going to upload few good videos after
doing thorough research that will help you navigate the career in this uh AI you navigate the career in this uh AI advancement age Okay the third one is going to be projects now when we say projects we will be coming up
with end to endend projects okay these are not like these are end n to end projects industry relevant projects and we have two major themes here so data analytics so we have one project that we
are coming up with very useful very relevant to your day-to-day life use relevant to your day-to-day life use case and the other one is going to be AI case and the other one is going to be AI ML and DL project AI ml DL jna projects
right that's the we have published couple of jni projects in last few mon months so if you check our Channel you will know about them and fourth one is going to be simple
agents but sometimes people even don't know what AI agents are so we published we already published a video on what an AI agent is similar to that we are going
to come up with lot of simple explanations that makes learning these Concepts easier because right now there is a lot going on people talk about yeah people say Okay Foundation model and uh rag and agenty CAG but hardly I would
say like majority of the people don't know even what they're talking about our goal on this channel is to demystify those topics and make it very easy to understand H did I miss anything I think we pretty much covered the major themes
here right yes I think we pretty much covered everything so I mean one thing I want to add here is that see folks the the market is becoming very Dynamic now like in the if you take five years back so whatever uh whatever is happening in
the tech is kind of stayed relevant for at least you know two years and 3 years and there is not much drastic change happening but now you can see there is a lot of change happening so one thing I would say is that uh not all the changes
happening in the tech will be adopted by the Enterprise because Enterprise adoption is bit slower right so you have time to learn these things and you have time to upskill yourself I'm pretty much sure in the coming times people won't be
three years experience you know because all the technology is kind of going to be new and uh the the analogy I can give you is like think about electricity when the electricity was first harnessed right electricity was existing there
invented or something it it just people people discovered it and they harnessed time it took a lot of time to develop a isn't it the electric bulbs came electric lights came then the
started using electricity then steam engine was replaced electric vehicles came electric motors came so it it will be a gradual change AI is such thing where you would see you know the application of AI is not going to happen
like next year itself it's going to happen faster than what happened with electricity but faster than what what happened with the you know internet Revolution but still you would have time to up skill and learn those things we
for everyone it's not like we already know these things and we are going to that's why I'm very excited you know it's it's going to be a learning phase for all and I would say to my dear aspirants and professionals do not fear
do not panic we are all on the same page here right nobody's uh you know very much ahead in the curve and nobody is behind just keep yourself updated on daily basis do not we'll have to grow out of the mindset that uh you know that
we did a degree or I did a Masters nothing your degree Masters everything is of no use we we kind of know it but we don't really accept on it yes so just to learn continuously every day and we all
good and the way our brain works is we look at the negative side first we don't think about positive side so when when someone hears about Sora release or some next generation llm is getting released they always think oh this is super smart
this is going to take my job but we don't think about other side there is other side too and maybe we can talk a little bit about that uh I will talk about Sora for example you might have really seen the Sora video on our
Channel you can give text description you can give image and it will generate video out of it now if you are a video editor if you are a designer you'll be like I'm working for this corporate and
I'm having this job I will lose this job because they will start using Sora but think about this this is going to democratize creativity now you sitting in your apartment with the help of AI tools will
be able to produce little ad let's say there is a company they want to produce a small ad you can produce it you can produce maybe a small TV series if you are a creative person for example hamand has lot of ideas on movies you know he
he can write very good movie script but he's not in a position to shoot a movie because it requires big budget now with this AI TOS maybe we can release a short documentary how then we should think about it right like short
documentary of a data analyst life something like that so all of those amazing things are going to happen is just that we need to be thinking about it and we need to be upskilling ourselves in a right direction there
will be people who will have that growth Pro Progressive mindset they will actually leverage this Wave It's like a you are standing on a coast and there is a wave coming up you canot you cannot stop wave but you can ride on that wave
there are people who will ride enjoy that uh moment and there are people who will be just in a you know who will not accept that change and they will be impacted so lot of changes changes are happening um but we we are advising
people to explore the brighter side of the things okay yes okay someone is asking so meanwhile we'll take question also I think folks don't post same question multiple times okay please respect like
this is a big Forum there are 118 people watching if you post your question multiple times we will not take that question okay so the the Deep learning almost ready it will be tomorrow right no no it's
live it's live it's live today it's live so folks deep learning course is live okay so if you go to Cod okay so if you go to Cod basics.
and okay I mean I just woke up even I did not know that it's uh live so let me just check this is like a soft release H or
it's live it's FAS oh it's live okay so folks go to cb. you will see deep learning course so it is live okay it is live okay yes all
okay so now yes Haman should we start taking a questions now uh yes or we can go for the live quiz and then fun quiz and then we can take question yeah let's do fun quiz folks we're going to do some fun quiz so

that barcode yeah and click on the link and it will enter your name and you will enter a quiz in case if you have problem scanning the barcode then in phone open your
your browser type in slido.com and enter this browser type in slido.com and enter this ID 1670 644
resolution one tell us you get a clear sken good sixpacks sixpack ABS nice data science
fun to learn new things that's the best one so far become data in first coder why not so I'm telling you if you don't I'm telling you okay no exaggeration so out of 117
people only 16 people have joined yeah this is just a fun quiz folks like yeah this is just a fun quiz folks like you you will you will love it so please join and don't hesit it the winner winner will get the code Basics hoodi
winner will get the code Basics hoodi that we are wearing okay yes winner is that we are wearing okay yes winner is going to get this hoodie okay I think that's that's the trick now now the participation will
increase no people are already joining I think it's there's a bit of lag when we joined now okay let's the okay let's the entries uh become an AI engineer why
grade and be disciplined complete the course to keep yourself data fit that's good I think mental Fitness and knowledge Fitness goes hand in hand um knowledge Fitness goes hand in hand um so you know focus on both hit the gym I
know the gym subscriptions are going to be crazy uh in the first week of also post it here you know there is this Q&A option in the slider itself post it
there so we can take the questions the advantage here is like others can upot your question so we can take the popular questions first so you can also post it in the YouTube comments but since most many people are commenting your
you know you will see this option like show Q&A uh there you can post your questions we will take it after right after this fun
they around uh you're interested in cracking the job in data analytics and become a data analyst in first quarter great Instagram content reading at least great Instagram content reading at least full book
okay enjoy is great positivity great folks positivity great positivity great folks positivity is it's a great thing to
okay okay I'll just wait for 10 15 more seconds cuz we have got 65 people but I guess we have got more people in in the life we have got 100 people in the life we have got 100 people in the Life 120
questions okay the first question is going to come on your screen folks look into your screen and answer it fast try to answer it fast okay the first question on your screen look at your mobile phone screen
yeah hey SI Daniel m m Akash pranita hon Buran there is a person who's name himself he named himself for herself as communication
himself for herself as communication skills very interesting name okay vant Puja
Bak Mohammad Ali [Music] vishant okay lokeshwar ra pretty much every join CH all right I think looks like we are all set and ready to start the quiz so pay attention
to your phone folks yeah all right 70 people is good we we'll start first question on your screen now okay what is Microsoft fabric what
now okay what is Microsoft fabric what do you know about Microsoft
it right so uh just to give you a brief folks it's nothing but unified analytics unified analytics is going to be one of the key trends of 2025 where they bring all the data roles together all the technical data roles together like the
data engineer data scientist and data analyst all in one platform Microsoft is have done this with uh connecting the technical role and non-technical role PowerPoint you know you can have live powerbi dashboards in PowerPoint so M
Microsoft is really good in playing this game they want to bring all the they're targeting the roles and they want to bring all the roles in one platform so that's what they're trying to do so fabric is great so we are definitely
bringing more content on fabric to you so watch out for that the funniest flicks uh from live chat was asking about this he was saying these roles are merging so funniest flicks you are right the as ham said these roles are merging
data engineering as well as data analytics yes so that's going to be you need to be kind of a master and kind of go at a little higher level and think about a problem and just provide a holistic
solution so we will be bringing content of on Microsoft fabric both on our camps and courses yes so but uh be aware it's not
going to happen like today or tomorrow the the the roles merging it's going to going to happen because what happens these tools along with AI you know this tools will be enabled by Ai and it will make the tool usage easier so when the
more time with more time you will start doing more things definitely the roles are getting Consolidated and uh like I said there will be more Industries more uh you know companies using this kind of tools so I don't know about the number
of job roles whether it will increase or decrease but don't think you know like don't think this like U something that will take away your job see this as an opportunity right where where would be able to add more value deliver more
value to the business all right let's see who got it oh tan is number one great nandana bat May great good job great job guys okay
May great good job great job guys okay number two second question on your screen okay you need an ads score of 100 to get a call for an interview is it to get a call for an interview is it true or false
like 100 90 plus ATS score is good for those who don't know what is ATS score it's like uh you know ATS is nothing but you know application tracking system and uh if you have a at score of more than 90 so the chances of your resume getting
filtered is high all right okay all right let's see the leader board oh good job nand you climbed up and uh bat ban
Min kabes will job okay question number three what does job okay question number three what does EDS stands for
oh cool many of you got it right yes Eda is given a data set you explore the data set and understand the patterns and categories of the data set and all those things and it's a common practice that
you do both in data analytics and data science okay going to the next one and the leaderboard good who has a new entrant and good job Barat climb to the top all right question number four what is data governance in the
four what is data governance in the context of data management
it's about establishing policies to ensure the data quality you know there's tell you how important data governance is because if you don't have data governance in place you you will end up using wrong data if you're using wrong
decisions are wrong so it's very very important in in Enterprises and uh there is not like a you know like there are there are people you know like who handle saps and all those Legacy systems right all those Erp systems they
kind of do the data governance but there are roles that that is specifically you know aimed at doing the data governance so you can also explore that okay going to the next question the leader board is pretty much the same
question number five which of the following is the best five which of the following is the best way for data aspirants to use Linden
audience here I think almost 90% of them are getting it right every time great uh yes I mean uh folks LinkedIn I I'll tell you again I have stressed this enough on my LinkedIn but I'll tell you again here you will have
to find a Competitive Edge right there is a big competition the the supply for uh you know data analyst role is very high and uh the demand is not matching high and uh the demand is not matching it so you'll have to identify yourself
as someone who's you know different from the crowd so you'll have to use all the differentiator LinkedIn is a differentiator and within this LinkedIn or project portfolio how you present the projects how you use how you write the
and how you reach out to the hiring manager how you you know like showcase your projects all these things will make a difference and you can complain about it saying like oh should I have to do this much to get a job or you can get on
it and get a job so but either way if you're complaining about it you're not a lot of people getting frustrated saying like oh hey I'm applying for 100 jobs nobody cares if you're applying for 100 jobs or 200 jobs it's it matters
about how you are applying for it like what what kind of methods you using it I involved but luck is not everything you can get the luck to your side by doing things in a very consistent way online credibility is one of those
things all right okay let's see the leaderboard oh ban good job climb to the top and I think pretty much everybody else is the same question number
six oh scams favorite topic which of these is a scam
great everyone got it yes folks all of this is a scam and uh we have made a course on scam awareness if you haven't done that please go to code Basics website and find the scam awareness course and I'm I'm pretty worried you
know because irrespective of the awareness that we make you know all victims for this scam you know people posting on LinkedIn or you know posting the money to this person that person doing all those things I I don't
understand internet is so accessible so affordable these days you have all you have to do is like to do some research to talk to people do some research and there are a lot of free resources as well so why why would you get yourself
scammed you know do the free resources first get some knowledge and see if you like this field or not and then go for paid course if it is needed right do not because someone is saying that they will get you a job in two months nobody can
get you a job job guarantee is a myth nobody can give you a job guarantee the market is a multivariate equation nobody can control if somebody's saying like oh I can get you a job I I yesterday I saw an ad very funny ad that says like
instead of 100% job guarantee they said like 95% placement rate 95% placement rate is not at all possible you know like like how like how it is possible understand people can write anything they want but if you go and ask for
proof or if you ask for the things they won't be able to provide it so please please do multiple research and uh even even with the whatever code Basics is offering right do not do not just blindly follow it do some research on
really make the difference you can simply follow stuff but no that's not going to help you okay all
right okay lead a board oh bat good job climbing back and oh new entr cria good job all right going to the next question what is the ongoing resume product challenge that we have on what domain it's based on
Mobility it's about the cap business and it's it's a really good interesting data set please try on that and if you don't know about resume project challenge please check the website and it's something super exciting for someone you
know who wants to build the domain knowledge like I said LinkedIn is a differentiator domain knowledge is a differentiator if you have domain value than a regular data analyst who does not have a domain knowledge of
knowledge without experience but you can compensate for it by know getting access to resources like this okay let me check the leader board oh good job oh this is changing every question good job nand climbed up to the top all right and I
between nand and Puja all right okay what is the significance of machine learning
take the little board oh Puja still there there I think Puja and nand they there there I think Puja and nand they are like pretty close bat B has well good job guys okay which of the tool is a
commonly which of the following is a commonly used tool for data analysis very easy [Music]
would be surprised if it's not 100% fantastic all right let's Che play the board oh it's pretty pretty tight okay the last question for the day in data analysis what does the term outlier refer
to I like the GF by the way the baby has gone crazy oh kind of varied opinions here but yeah the popular opinion wins yes
this is uh so when you are given a data set whatever let's say you have a data set whatever let's say you have a data set where you know 10 data points the it's it's let's say it's it's four on an average but there is one data point
which has a very high huge variance from other data set so that's that's the other data set so that's that's the outlayer and uh good job any guesses on outlayer and uh good job any guesses on who's going to be the winner
come on guys guess it let's see who wins it today who's going to get this
right okay I see Puja okay yes Puja is the winner wow that's pretty close I'm sorry for just a second difference but good for just a second difference but good job good job everyone and uhja nand May
tesini and rajes everyone did a pretty good job I I I almost recognize all of these people here from LinkedIn and uh great great job everyone and Puja just sent an email uh just sent an email to info@ codebasics doio and with this with
you know with your screenshot and uh we'll send you this good job Puja congrat yes Puja great job so info@ codebasics yes Puja great job so info@ codebasics doio Puja so on that email you need to
doio Puja so on that email you need to send us a a message and we will and in the message describe your like address and so on and we'll send you the and so on and we'll send you the hoodie yes all right so folks the
purpose of this quiz was of course just to increase engagement and have fun okay so even if you didn't make it it's okay I see couple of people join later on so we'll be scheduling these kind of live streams in the future so if you
want to participate in these quizzes and join on time I mean you know that's the join on time I mean you know that's the only thing we can say okay now we can take up questions you're still on slido on slido there is an option to post a
question so post a question and if somebody has already posted the question somebody has already posted the question which you want to ask just click on upot so the question which will have higher votes we will pick up those questions
you don't need to type it again just upot it so that way your question will upot it so that way your question will get answered faster okay so go to slider even if you're not on slido there is a barcode on the left hand side take your
phone scan it and when you go to slido let me exactly tell you how you can post it so if you go to slido I am on my slido slider app is coming up join
slider there should be you know at the top you see like so there is a poll and there is Q&A yeah so just go to Q&A Tab and if
someone has posted a question just uport it or ask a new question by clicking on that ask button you know so there is a ask button here and there is set of questions you can just upot it okay let's take the first question yeah so oh
turned out to be the popular question toan thanks for asking like yes Delhi Meetup is uh we are already looking for venues and things like that and uh we need some volunteer support because we don't have anybody there in order to
look into the venues to make sure uh you know it's going to help us there so yeah it will be happening in January you know we we wanted to do it in uh in December but it it seems a bit tough now so we we'll be doing it in
we'll be doing it in January okay and uh and in Bangalore we January okay and uh and in Bangalore we we did one recently just a month back so we'll do it uh you know pretty soon folks I'll be in India in February March
time frame so we are planning a mega event in Hyderabad either towards the end of February or March so we will make a post on our YouTube Community post or on LinkedIn and so on so if you want to
know about these meetups you can keep an eye sometimes if you are subscribed to the channel you will get the notification okay so you can subscribe to the channel That way you get notification on our upcoming events but
in 2025 we are planning more offline events because we see that there is a different value that offline event uh can create so we will be focusing more offline events and for those who don't know we
started this Indian data Club IDC as part of that also we'll be doing IDC as part of that also we'll be doing so many events so please um so hamon and I have a LinkedIn page so you can follow that LinkedIn page
that LinkedIn page or go to YouTube and just start you know or go to YouTube and just start you know following that uh YouTube Community post because that is the only way we can communicate with
just in case you missed it that's what I was trying to
and uh we have a active Discord channel so if you don't know about IDC you you can you can join it's it's it's really amazing a lot of people join and you know provide valuable uh sessions and it's a place where you can interact with
like-minded people so currently it's online but it's going to expand to members will become the offline members and we are going to do it in multiple cities in India we are going to do it in uh you know in Chennai Hyderabad
uh you know in Chennai Hyderabad Bangalore Kolkata Delhi and uh yeah and more cities we'll be announcing more on that and uh so just in case you're seeing it for the first time you can scan the QR code and join the Discord
Community okay and uh we have a next popular question which is in 2020 if I start I'm going to start finding job for data analysis Ro just I want to know what strong power projects or topics so very good question so when you're doing
power projects just focus on the key domains and uh you know and functions so when I say domains fmcg is a very strong domain Automotive Healthcare and we are
going to do a healthcare project also it will be coming very soon and on function sales is a very strong function marketing but if you already have experience any of this like if you coming from sales marketing Finance
supply chain try to do those projects related to that so that you can kind of connect your domain experience with the project and the chances of you Landing a job like a supply chain analyst or Finance analyst is much
higher okay road map for p developer we are going to release a 2025 road map for data analytics and P is pretty much included in that there's B is developer is like a subset of that I'm yeah pretty sure that will be useful to you
you sharing those projects on LinkedIn have you created a project portfolio website to put those and did you attach a link to that on LinkedIn that should be the next steps because uh having a skill is one thing showing the skill is
another thing so you need to know how to show the skills because if you've done you need to keep showing that constantly on LinkedIn and uh and keep applying for when they check your LinkedIn profile and if they see your activities you're
definitely going to give them a very good gate for not able to get to college would it be better to pursue Ms or in US
this question so folks right question so folks right now the job market in US is also very kind of weak okay so people are having hard time finding a job here especially
hard time finding a job here especially pressures now if you're coming for Ms here uh you're looking for a job you're going to look for a job after one and half year or let's say 2 years I don't know how the market will
years I don't know how the market will be after 2 years one thing I can say for sure is if you are exceptional then you don't have to worry you can just come if you're exceptional not I'm talk not talking just in terms of your IQ and
your intellectual capability but in terms of your approach so are you able to network are you focusing on soft skills are you active on LinkedIn and you are doing necessary things to network with the recruiters and so on so
network with the recruiters and so on so if you have all those uh things in you if you have all those uh things in you then you can definitely come to us ml research obviously has a brighter future because all these companies right like
big tech companies they are hiring a lot of people uh who have core ml research background because there is lot of innovation that is still happening in the space of llm in the space of AI in
in the space of AI in general so if you don't get into any top colleges in India yes pursuing Ms in US is a good option whether you will get a
job or not I'm not sure because as I said Market is little bit tough right now um but yeah I mean if you are ready to work hard and um if your approach is
unique you should definitely consider yeah I would like to add something on there uh just this is my mental model even I also went to uh Germany to do Masters and uh but I really struggled in the initial time to get a job so what I
will tell you right like uh if you are having enough money to spend on doing an MS you can do because going to another country and living there itself is an right not just because it's going to be very colorful it's not that you will
independent you will learn to manage money you learn to manage yourself that is a very uh you know invaluable learning but if you are taking a lot of get a job and all those things think about it you can also spend that money
here or not spend that much money here in India and you can upskill yourself than money time is a key factor here you can spend the time and get a job in India as well and uh you know in you know the job market is pretty much the
same in India and us right now and uh don't think like if you're going to us you'll be earning people sometimes do the conversion they they say like I earn like 70 lakhs in uh 70 lakhs is kind of like $80,000 in us oh that's a great
salary no $80,000 is pretty much like 20 LPA in India or 15 LPA in India even less than that so you know the economies are different people miss that simple calculation sometimes earning 70 LPA in India versus earning 70 LPN us it's it's
it's a lot it's a lot of difference right so you have to adjust it to the PPP purchasing power parity and then make a calculation according to that okay and check and one more thing uh you know check with your alumni you know
check with the seniors the college you are applying to check with them what's the job that is the best thing stay in the contact with your seniors so your seniors would have completed their masters and some of they will know more
masters and some of they will know more about the job market also talk to multiple people because if you talk to one or two people who did not get a job they will give you a very biased opinion you want to get a holistic opinion on
things we are also planning to do some kind of live stream for us people who wants to come to us for studies okay so we'll be doing that live stream and I will invite some folks who have completed Masters here so we'll do that
at some point yes okay uh okay VES is asking I'm looking for AI engineering internship I have done certain projects but I'm still not able to get into since the experience I do
again it's in online credibility participate in a lot of Open Source projects you know that's that will uh you know give a good impression so we that person is not even not even completed the college that person is
only third year how did we select the freelancer we we message that person and because because he has published lot of Articles and uh we could we are able to that he has published and we thought okay fine we want to work with this
person that's how you know you you kind of beat the competition and uh you'll have to you know like have online credibility for that
okay uh Prasad please check the sales inside version to data incorrect in tblo mode oh is it okay let me send this to my team thanks Prasad for marking that uh
yeah if you could have uh if you could write an email that would also help but it's it's okay we'll we'll check where need to change I'll just quickly send a message to my [Music]
chat what is the best option for Indian market data engineering or data science folks there is demand for both you should look at what you are good at so look at your interest look at the skills which are involved for example
for data science you need good math skills for data engineering you need good database skills good computer architecture distributed computing those kind of skills so if you're very good in coding computer
architecture distributed computing those kind of things databases go for data engineering if you're good at math and statistics and good at coding also go for data science so look at yourself don't look at outside because outside
demand is demand is good for both of it but if you are naturally skilled at but if you are naturally skilled at something and if you can do a job better than others you will become very successful in whatever you do so both
successful in whatever you do so both fields are very I'm sorry if you are in the layoff I know it's very tough so I I'll just say the the pre thing the thing you should do before the layoff is like it's
it's a practical thing try to have some emergency fund you know like at least your salary whatever you can just just try to have it and uh if if possible you that during layoffs your financial pressure is minimized and during layoff
I would say the only thing you can do is like again constant upskilling and way to you know get back to the job market pretty quick and and and do not uh Fear The Gap and all it's it's it's okay you know it's layoff happens but
so that you can say that you are doing some professional scaling during the time and uh when you when you lay off when you're getting laid off in one particular business let's say it's it's a particular type of fmcg company so
then the good opportunity for you is like look for similar companies look for similar companies and see if they're hiring there if a company in a particular domain is is is firing people
most likely the the other companies you know they are also not hiring them because it seems that that industry itself is getting down but if the company the one the company which you're working only is not doing good if the
good there is a very good chance that you will get hired in the you know in the similar company pretty soon so like this there are few research you can do get back to the job market that's that's my thought do you want anything
the way you need to think about layoff is layoff did not happened because of your performance right it happened because of business reasons many times companies cut budget they have business problems so you should not I mean people
sometimes take it personally thinking that oh maybe something was wrong with that oh maybe something was wrong with me but it's not the case it's just that business situation so take that layoff event positively now
you're you're not having a job you're having a free time so utilize that time to learn new skills to build Network attend conferences okay I have also seen
many people uh for example there is one guy called pit guy called pit Flynn who runs a popular podcast he was laid off from his job and he was very upset
but that give him an opportunity to start his own entrepreneurship gig so layups sometimes can be good I if you want to do some entrepreneurship or even
not full-time enterpreneurship but sometimes people have this side gig you sometimes people have this side gig you know so you you have that time and that energy to work on that side gig your passion Etc so take it positively and uh
just just have patience because it sometimes it just takes time okay so have patience and during that time period learn new things Network think about your passions think think longterm and uh take the action
what's the best way to stand out as a data analyst so Ki just uh just go 10 discussed that it's about building online credibility on LinkedIn having a knowledge doing a lot of unguided projects so that's going to help you
stand out and uh I should I start my career in dat anal currently I'm in the graphic designer field so start with Excel you know Excel is something pretty basic you start with that and uh try to understand
from the free resources first do not do not go for some courses so normally from a graphic designer feeli I want to start so these people are the targets like oh don't worry you will just get a
data analy job just take this course it's 40,000 50,000 you won't get a job happen like that first you have to understand the field yourself for that you have to do a lot of research so go to the free resources in the code Basics
YouTube channel there are a lot of free resources just just go and do them first get an understanding if you are happy if you think like you can do this then only think about getting a paid course okay so that's my
so that's my suggestion okay kiru I'm new to deep and relevant project and relevant project sessions you want to take
neural network fundamentals uh we have a playlist on our YouTube channel so you can go through that or we just launched a deep learning course today you can go through that course also so first learn the
basic skills and then there are a lot of project ideas folks you can even use chat GPT so there is standard project is chat GPT so there is standard project is a image classification so we have a very
good project on YouTube called potato disase classification in which we not only Built a model we deployed it to Google Google Cloud we build a we built a react native
app so it's like truly end to end project so if you have these truly end to endend projects that they will make an impact and you need to know how to Showcase those projects so H can you show one project portfolio website I
people might not be aware so folks project portfolio website is very important it's like your online resume so you need you need to um build that
so you need you need to um build that website which has all the projects okay so hon will show you one sample project portfolio website and he will tell you exactly you know the the elements on that like how that website can help
uh one portfolio website you know where uh Akash has put all his projects and uh and this this CI work part is is quite interesting because that's where the
hiring manager can get into your portfolio and actually see your work this is this is a live dashboard embeded in the in the project where they can uh what you have done in the dashboard they can see that and it's uh it's it's
interactive you know it it works in real time so that's pretty much uh what you know you should be doing and uh yeah it contains the certificates that you have done your Conta also you have your own little video so if you play that button
on aash like it will you know it will play an introduction video so when a recruiter looks at your video you talking they get lot of hints on your communication your personality and that makes their screening process bit easier
and this is a very professional approach to you know to um apply for a job so if you're making this kind of thing it will differentiate you from rest of the crowds so after you made all those deep learning projects make a project
portfolio website include a link of your GitHub and on GitHub have a nice read me you know mention like projects properly and so on yes so uh I think we can take
some questions from uh so folks uh I'll just quickly talk about this jobs at code Basics see we are a very lean team we don't hire like like 10 people 15 people we don't do that so mostly we hire from our Network like whenever we
see person who's having a good online credibility and if you need someone we hire from that and we work with a lot of Freelancers of course yes if if you are good and if you notice if we notice your work we'll we'll give you a freelancing
hiring for any bigger roles like data scientist or data analyst we'll post it on LinkedIn first we'll definitely post it on LinkedIn first and then that's how we proceed So currently to answer your question currently we're not looking for
question currently we're not looking for any roads at this at this right at this looking which is learner experience uh analyst which is uh you know like person
who would support Learners over a call and at the same time do some analytics on the data that that's that's the kind of profile we looking at so if you're of profile we looking at so if you're interested you can write to info@ Cod
uh I think we can take some questions from YouTube now you yes all questions
this tough to Fresh for freshers to get into job in data science field he has still not received any call for the next round this is the reason I'm a feser see the reason is not uh the reason is nobody is going to Simply reject your
simply going to take your uh profile if you have S years experience it's it's the hiring manager needs at the moment and how your resume is getting filtered pretty sure it has an ATS score of more than 90 I I I I assume that and uh you
have lot of projects and you don't simply apply to the job I don't like apply apply apply and then say like I applied for 10 jobs that's something anybody can do are you treating each job as an individual job and are you
question paper and your resume has an answer sheet do you optimize that answer sheet for every job description job application that you do uh many people sure about you Shashank maybe you are doing it and still luck is not favoring
you that you're not getting the job but if you're not doing this please do that you ever found the hiring manager of that company or the person who's working in the company and ask for reference and
reached out to the person and showed your project portfolio do you have a things like like this I would I would ask I would ask like 10 questions and uh I know people who have answered yes to 10 questions and still haven't got a job
but 99% of the people are the ones who would say no they they're missing one or two things and uh so understand the market is tough definitely yes but uh You' have to do a lot of things to to oversee
credibility so if you look at past few videos we interviewed one at past few videos we interviewed one person who got two offers for ML engineer position after his 12th grade that person never went to a
this is a recent thing okay it's not I'm not talking about like 3 years back so a person who doesn't even have a college degree is getting a job and person who has a college degree is having uh issues so just try to think why is that the
so just try to think why is that the case because that person who after who got a job job after 12 he focused on online credibility he was doing open the community I was recently talking to one
person who is in the college and he makes nice uh he writes nice medium blogs you know there is a medium.com website he wred nice blogs and he will
put all the mathematical diagrams and so on he's also active on Twitter so he was interacting with some folks some startup in the US and he got an internship so he's in third or I think third or fourth year of college tier 2 College okay I'm
not talking about IIT tier 2 or tier three three college and based on that online credibility his Twitter and his medium uh
contribution he got on an internship directly because he was able to directly directly because he was able to directly with the startup Founders in the US and I'm not saying okay go to post on Twitter any random stuff right you
should be putting some credible things some thoughtful content on the social media so online credibility folks is the new resume if you use your same old resume applying 200 positions they will it's like a black hole you know like one
thing if there is a black hole if the things go into the black hole it will never come out so applying using same old resume is it's it's a dead old resume is it's it's a dead approach yeah okay
right uh in the in the chat I see questions like uh can you suggest a sample resume having 0 is 90 or how can you make it so we have made videos about searching enough buddy please go and search it and it's not just us many
people have made videos on it yeah code Basics resume code basics resume help we have made two or three videos we have provided templates folks see most of the time this is what I have found the questions you are asking we already have
answers it's just that you don't know how to search in YouTube type code how to search in YouTube type code Basics and that type resume resume help or any any channel I am not just code Basics if you want to look at content
produced by some specific person or channel on a given topic it's very it's very easy it's like Child's Play So if you search for it most of the answers are already
there yes okay I'll take a few more questions before we sign off yes the recording will be available and uh I want to become a data scientist will the video your posture will be
enough see himra it's not enough if you're just following few videos by luck you might get a job but I don't want you to trust on luck so you have to do an extensive research you have to do a lot of projects as well lot
of additional projects as well yes we do have a lot of projects and a lot of UNG geted projects we have to do and the field is uh you know evolving right in posted is pretty much good enough for you to get a solid understanding but for
the market you'll have to do a lot of projects that for that you'll have to do the new terms coming and uh that's that's what you should be doing all right okay takech bites life was terminated
from when I had a week of noce per left the [Music] using oh take buts I'm very sorry that unfortunately the labor law in India is
or anything like that and mostly companies exploit the people I don't know you can uh you can you know I don't know like if they decided to accuse you are going to be pretty much solid on that uh if you want to expose them with
write a LinkedIn post you know you should you should do that at least other that's that's my suggestion okay oh big fan of Peter Pand
suggestion okay oh big fan of Peter Pand thank you P Pand is here and oh Geor got placed congrats congrats buddy good so so Josh Vlogs was placed so Josh please share your experience like how did you get a job what uh what was the
process and you know how prepare how you prepare so that other people can help uh prepare so that other people can help uh get a help yes so uh guys I'll tell one thing right everybody watching this video please don't be the naive person
you know like who who's who doesn't know what's happening in the world and uh you will ask the questions and expect an answer from someone will I get a data sometimes I get and I see and I feel very bad for the person because you're
You're simply asking like will I get a data analy job like as if I'm some astrologer and uh so I I see some comments like this which means you are looking for some easy spoon feeding that's not going to happen you'll have
to you know get into the market look at the competition the competition is very of stage right that's where all this telling like oh yeah yeah you'll get a data L job just join this course and
they they spamming and they're scamming you so please get above that level you should not ask questions which are pretty much basic you can ask chat GPT you can ask you can Google it there are a lot of tools right now you know you'll
then ask specific questions to people then they will answer and you'll also for which the answer is already available on the internet and you are also not giving proper information it's not of any use for you right and if you
you have to be extremely proactive you'll have to answer uh you'll have to ask a lot of proactive questions and uh you cannot survive in the data field if you are simply you know getting into the uh the field with with basic uh you know
basic approach of like you you will go and uh ask some seniors the questions and all no it's not going to work like that so just just change his mindset you know don't don't expect spoon feeding at this stage and uh it's it's it's very
bad it's not going to help you and uh people who are going to spoon feed you are mostly the ones who are going to spend you because they are they are say like oh don't worry we'll take care of you it's not it's not the job market
will get a job out of luck it's not going to happen Okay I don't uh want any of you to lose your time money or anything uh doing something that is irrelevant for your career focus on what's the focus on the skills if you're
needed for data analyst there is a road map check the road map that we have made we have clearly such a detailed road map we have made clearly explain each and every Rule and uh a lot of questions you are asking we created a tool called you
know Navigator uh you know if you go to the code Basics website just type code Basics da Navigator you will find a powerbi where we has a lot of questions everything is given it's just that you are not doing enough research on it so
my humble request please do your own research do not trust anybody right this world is very very uh dubious you you'll have to do your own research to trust and uh that's that's my humble request
and I wish you all a great 2025 and uh we'll again talk we we'll do one more uh we'll again talk we we'll do one more uh you know round of this thing and U yeah and do not look for motivation look for discipline for 2025 don't say like oh I
temporary thing discipline is a permanent thing look for discipline you want to add something yep that's it I mean I don't have anything else to add uh sorry if we couldn't answer all the question in the
interest of time we have to end right now we will be doing uh these kind of live sessions uh every now and then I think maybe we should do like once every month or something right like we can we can have this live streaming like once
can have this live streaming like once every month or so so please join our next uh live streaming we all uh like wish you all the best we will see you in 2025 yeah
oh uh I think people are asking about this uh data science full full boot camp it's going to be released in January right January mid it will be released on data analytics data analytics boot camp as well it's going to be data
analytics 4.0 we are going to build some exciting features which we are going to exciting features which we are going to uh share uh in our analytics monthly announcements what are the upgrades uh we are going to do data analytics 4.0 is
going to launch around 27th December so we have decided the date but we'll make an announcement for that okay yes motivation is temporary discipline is permanent always remember that yeah and and and okay let me I take that last
question for data analyst jobs most of the organization require computer science degree I don't think that is true no that's not true maybe we have boot camp students in last three months I think we placed what 120 or 150
students many of them don't have computer science degree yes okay so go to Cod basic. check our boot camp there is a placement section on that you will see a LinkedIn icon for that person go check their
degree yes I don't think that is true I mean of course there are organization computer science degree in the job description but when they actually hire they look at your online credibility and
then all these boot camp students that we are having who got a job yes I mean they would all have computer science degree but that is not the case yes
that's true yes uh folks for people who have already enrolled in the boot camp there could be some restrictions depending upon the module but yeah most to you and that's something we always do we always respect our existing Learners
and uh great thank you uh thank thank you everyone have a have a great day and uh will there be a discount for Christmas guys uh code Basics never pricing of course we can increase a price to 20,000 and then say 50%
never do things like that we believe in honest pricing because education is not a commodity we are not we are not trying to commoditize it so thanks for respecting that folks when I go buy furniture here I wanted to buy furniture
once and we have one store here in New Jersey called Ashley Furniture they never give discount so what I do is I go to places who do not give discount because they are very honest in terms of their pricing people who are giving
discounts they are most likely they are playing this gimmicks to increase their sales okay so that's what even I do I mean it's up to you what you want to do all right folks have a great day and a great evening and uh Happy New Year we
a great evening and uh Happy New Year we we'll stay in touch bye
