[0:30] through everything you need to know to
[0:31] get things started as a vtuber from
[0:34] creating your own virtual Persona to
[0:36] setting up the right equipment and
[0:38] everything else you actually need to get
[0:40] things started with your vtuber journey
[0:43] so what exactly is a vtuber it basically
[0:47] stands for a virtual YouTuber but it's
[0:50] more than just being on YouTube a vtuber
[0:53] is someone who uses a virtual presence a
[0:56] digital character a digital Avatar of
[0:59] some form whether it is a form of a
[1:01] picture PNG image Al live 2D animated
[1:06] character like what I usually use in my
[1:09] streams or a 3D model to represent
[1:13] themselves online instead of showing
[1:15] their real face it's like stepping into
[1:17] character while creating content so
[1:19] here's something super important to
[1:21] think about before you even dive into V
[1:24] tubing your vtuber persona or as some
[1:28] people call it vtu concept sure it's
[1:32] very tempting to jump straight into
[1:34] buying an avatar and setting up all the
[1:36] tools but trust me this step is the
[1:39] heart of your V tubing Journey your vtu
[1:43] persona is basically who you are in the
[1:45] virtual world it's the first thing your
[1:48] audience will see and it already tells
[1:51] them something about you before you even
[1:54] say a word it's easy to just fix
[1:57] something you think that looks cool or
[1:59] or follow Trends but the key is to
[2:02] create something that reflects you your
[2:05] personality and creativity and unique
[2:08] Vibe so take your time to brainstorm
[2:10] this with so many vtubers out there
[2:14] having a strong concept helps you stand
[2:16] out without a doubt without it viewers
[2:19] might not even have a reason to watch
[2:22] you to choose you over someone else I
[2:25] won't go too deep into the details of
[2:27] building a v concept today but just know
[2:30] that your persona is the foundation of
[2:33] everything that you do so be creative
[2:36] have fun with it but don't forget to
[2:38] bring a piece of you into the mix at the
[2:40] end of the day it's your personality
[2:42] that will surely connect your viewers
[2:44] and win their hearts next up is your V
[2:48] model you have two main options for this
[2:50] either a 2d or a 3D a 2d model is great
[2:54] for smooth anime sty animations and on
[2:57] the other hand 3D models this let you
[3:00] move around interact more dynamically
[3:05] giving you a lot of flexibility and
[3:07] creativity on how you want to move
[3:10] around and if you're not sure what to
[3:12] pick you can always go four things for
[3:14] free you can download a free program
[3:17] called vroid Studio you can create your
[3:19] own 3D model for that one and you can
[3:24] also Study Life Tod cubism if you wanted
[3:27] to make your own now these two things
[3:29] are on a separate topic if you want to
[3:32] make things quicker I would suggest that
[3:35] you go to booth.pm it's a website and
[3:38] you can download free vtuber models or
[3:42] you can pay pre-made models for cheap so
[3:47] you might need to take some time to
[3:49] browse around and stuff like that before
[3:52] you actually hire someone to do an
[3:54] exclusive model for you because I'm
[3:56] going to tell you guys now 3D or 2D they
[3:59] can be very expensive and that is just a
[4:02] reality when it comes to V tubing
[4:05] however please do know that you really
[4:07] don't need to break the bank to be a
[4:10] vtuber because there are free and lowc
[4:12] cost tools to get things started and
[4:15] again it will all depend on what kind of
[4:18] vtuber do you want to be do you want to
[4:19] be doing this for fun for excitement for
[4:23] temporary or do you want to start this
[4:26] as a career uh but before we go down to
[4:30] that rabbit hole let's first talk about
[4:32] the equipment Essentials that you
[4:34] actually need as a vtuber now let's talk
[4:37] about gears this is very important while
[4:40] you don't need a fancy setup to start
[4:43] you will still need to have a decent
[4:45] webcam to capture your movements and a
[4:48] decent lighting setup as well which
[4:51] means you would need a decent room and a
[4:53] microphone and a computer your webcam
[4:56] should be able to capture a 1080p at
[4:59] least we are using a vtuber model which
[5:02] means that everything is highly reliant
[5:05] on the tracking device that we are using
[5:07] it is recommended that if you are using
[5:10] a live 2D model just like I am to use an
[5:14] iPhone tracker but if you don't have
[5:16] that you can always have a webcam there
[5:18] are other tools to make things more
[5:20] expressive for you so if you don't have
[5:23] iPhone that's not the end of the world
[5:25] another thing that you would need is
[5:27] software software like vtube Studio L it
[5:30] and different kinds of software that can
[5:33] allow you to do your tracking number one
[5:36] tracking for live TD is vtube studio and
[5:40] for 3D I believe that there is something
[5:44] called VC face I used to use that when I
[5:47] was doing uh when I'm using a 3D model
[5:51] or if you have a virtual reality headset
[5:54] you can just go to VR chat and that will
[5:57] be your model and it doesn't really
[5:58] require much except that you need the
[6:01] gear and you really need a really good
[6:03] computer I do say decent computer
[6:07] however you really need to have a good
[6:10] computer to get things going in a very
[6:13] smoother way for your computer for your
[6:15] streaming
[6:16] needs so this is why getting a vtuber
[6:20] model may not be expensive but if you
[6:23] also don't have a computer and you don't
[6:27] have a cell phone it's going to be very
[6:29] hard for you to get things going so you
[6:33] need internet access a stable internet
[6:36] access you need a good computer
[6:38] hopefully you have a lot of space RAM
[6:41] and the most important piece of
[6:43] equipment that you will need is a
[6:46] microphone I do have a pet peeve on this
[6:49] microphone when it comes to V tubing or
[6:52] streaming or being content creator is
[6:55] the most important thing in the world
[6:58] you can skip on those fancy models if
[7:00] you like but please do not skip on a
[7:03] microphone so I highly highly recommend
[7:05] that if you do have some extra cash
[7:07] focus on your microphone first before
[7:10] anything else please do know that the
[7:12] more expensive a microphone is does not
[7:15] mean that it's a lot better for you yeah
[7:17] just trust me on that I had a lot of
[7:20] audio problems way way back before and I
[7:24] can attest to you that audio is the most
[7:27] important thing in the world because
[7:29] people can skip on your video they may
[7:33] choose to not care about your crappy
[7:35] gaming crappy video but they cannot
[7:38] tolerate a crappy crappy microphone or
[7:41] audio setting if you're clipping a lot
[7:45] if like they cannot hear you or there's
[7:47] a lot of static there's a lot of
[7:49] background noises and stuff like that a
[7:51] lot of people who has a lot of pet
[7:53] peeves or they just cannot tolerate
[7:55] certain sounds what seems okay to you
[7:58] may not sound okay to others and that
[8:01] alone may make that person not watch you
[8:05] not listen to you so um yeah and clear
[8:10] audio is always the key to keeping your
[8:12] audience engaged if you are on a budget
[8:14] no problem you can always start small
[8:17] and upgrade as you go I do have some
[8:19] recommendations on audio specifically
[8:23] and certain gadgets that I know is going
[8:26] to be helpful and not totally break the
[8:29] back I have tried it from the most
[8:30] expensive to the most cheapest one so
[8:33] you might want to check down below
[8:35] description of this video to see about
[8:37] those um microphones if you like and to
[8:40] be a vber of course you need to have
[8:43] some form of content vber is virtual
[8:46] YouTuber so technically you are a
[8:49] content creator and a lot of people just
[8:51] forget about that and they think that
[8:54] you're just an anime girl and as long as
[8:55] you're a model you're a beber but it
[8:58] doesn't really stop there
[8:59] you need to have a form of content and
[9:02] also you need to choose where you are
[9:05] going to be streaming if you are going
[9:06] to be streaming or do you want to just
[9:09] make a pre-recorded video and upload
[9:12] that to YouTube or to whatever platform
[9:15] that you choose when it comes to
[9:16] platforms twitch and YouTubes are the
[9:18] most popular for vtubers if you're just
[9:21] starting out and you already have a
[9:23] content and Niche of some kind I think
[9:26] YouTube might be better for creating
[9:28] videos and building an audience that way
[9:31] however if you don't know anything and
[9:33] you're just streaming for fun gaming
[9:36] every day and stuff like that I think
[9:39] twitch is a lot better and it will give
[9:42] you more exposure to other people as
[9:45] well that way not in a very big manner
[9:48] though especially if you're small but
[9:50] you can start with twitch and it will
[9:53] give you better result that's how I
[9:55] started and also I would assume that as
[9:58] soon as you started your Ving career you
[10:01] still don't know what to do and that's
[10:02] what happened to me so you just got to
[10:06] practice and just stream because
[10:09] streaming is also a different form of
[10:12] thing that you need to work on that you
[10:14] need to get used to basically you need
[10:16] to get used to talking to yourself
[10:19] talking to other people most of the time
[10:21] and if you're not good at talking to
[10:23] people you might struggle with live
[10:26] streaming so yeah you need to really
[10:29] think about these things and what you
[10:32] actually wanted to do and then later on
[10:34] you can Branch out with what you really
[10:36] wanted to go so content planning is very
[10:40] very important and having a niche of
[10:42] some kind is really something that you
[10:44] need to think about are you going to be
[10:47] a just chatting streamer but what are
[10:49] you going to be talking about maybe you
[10:52] are going to be all about singing or
[10:54] someone that enjoys like um making
[10:57] reaction videos or maybe you're all
[10:59] about gamings and you're going to be a
[11:02] gamer that you know becomes really
[11:04] consistent and really really good at the
[11:06] game the most important thing is that
[11:08] you got to stand out and yeah think
[11:11] about your Niche and your content and
[11:15] what you actually wanted to do but at
[11:17] the same time all goes down to why do
[11:19] you want to be a vber and if you become
[11:22] a vber what do you want to do and just
[11:24] do that you know regardless of what
[11:26] other people think when it comes to what
[11:29] you wanted to do with your bbing life
[11:32] finally consistency is key create a
[11:34] schedule stick with it keep showing up
[11:37] interact with your audience is also very
[11:40] important please do answer your comments
[11:42] chat during streams and make your
[11:44] viewers feel like they're part of your
[11:47] world and don't forget to join vber
[11:49] communities on Twitter Discord Reddit
[11:52] networking with other vtubers collabing
[11:54] is always a great way to learn and grow
[11:57] at the same time we'll also to help you
[11:59] with the burnout it's very very easy for
[12:02] vtubers to be people Pleasers sometimes
[12:04] it's just going to be very very mentally
[12:06] draining for you and even though it is
[12:09] something that you wanted to do don't
[12:11] have to agree to everyone else as a
[12:13] result so you don't need to be super
[12:17] fast with everything else that you
[12:19] wanted to do in life when it comes to V
[12:22] tubing just be consistent I used to
[12:25] stream every day and I have limited it
[12:28] down to two times a week because you
[12:31] still need a life you still need a life
[12:33] so that the soon as you show up on
[12:37] stream you have something to talk about
[12:40] you know those kinds of stuff so don't
[12:42] stress and over stress yourself is the
[12:45] key to everything else is what I would
[12:47] say to you guys and also take some time
[12:51] to really find out what you wanted to do
[12:54] and if you're always streaming all the
[12:56] time you won't exactly have the time to
[12:59] think about what you wanted to do in
[13:01] life and you got to like take a look on
[13:06] what you can do make use of your
[13:08] strength and don't just copy what is
[13:11] popular and trendy at the moment because
[13:14] what will work for others might not work
[13:16] for you like for example you see fillian
[13:19] flipping around being silly all the time
[13:22] and crashing her headset here and there
[13:25] and sure you wanted to be fillian but
[13:28] can you waste 10 headsets Allin one go
[13:31] for every flip that you have if you
[13:33] don't have the mean to have many
[13:36] headsets around you you cannot do what
[13:40] they're doing and that won't be so
[13:42] entertaining right so you need to like
[13:45] be very strategic on what you can do
[13:49] like replication is very important when
[13:52] it comes to V tubing that's why you
[13:54] always need to study you always need to
[13:56] take a look on what's going on out there
