## Summary

This video presents a comprehensive DPS tier list for World of Warcraft's Midnight expansion, specifically tailored for players pushing from lower to mid-level Mythic+ keys (around +12s and +13s) for their season 1 title. The creator evaluates each spec based on damage output, consistency, survivability, and performance in pug groups, emphasizing real-world viability over perfect parsing scenarios.

### Key Points

- **Tier List Context** [00:01] — The tier list is for players pushing from lower to mid-level Mythic+ (around +12s and +13s) for season 1 title, not for top-tier tournament play. It considers damage, consistency, survivability, and pug performance.
- **Arcane Mage - S Tier** [00:56] — Arcane Mage is dominating again in Midnight. It has one of the best single-target damages in the game, solid AoE with Arcane Pulse, and strong priority damage. It relies on cooldowns but less than before. Survivability has been pruned, requiring proper use of Alter Time and shields.
- **Demonology Warlock - S Tier** [02:16] — Demonology Warlock has a streamlined rotation, extremely strong and consistent single-target damage, and good cleave. It has less ramp than before, strong self-sustain, and one of the best survivability toolkits for ranged DPS. Brings battle res and demonic gateway.
- **Unholy Death Knight - S Tier** [04:10] — Unholy Death Knight received a rework that fixed previous rotational issues. It has ridiculous single-target damage, especially during cooldown windows with Army of the Dead and Magus of the Dead. AoE is also strong. Damage is front-loaded with less ramp, and survivability is excellent.
- **Affliction Warlock - A Tier** [05:44] — Affliction Warlock is placed in A tier due to its strong single-target and priority damage, with a powerful execute phase and Haunt. It has heavier ramp and slower starts, which can be a problem in lower keys, but shines in longer pulls. Survivability remains excellent.
- **Devastation Evoker - A Tier** [07:17] — Devastation Evoker is straightforward with a three-to-four-button rotation. It has solid single-target but excels in AoE packs, with crazy mass AoE damage. Priority damage is decent but not great. Survivability is good with double Blur.
- **Frost Mage - A Tier** [08:48] — Frost Mage has good single-target after recent buffs, strong AoE, great cleave, and consistent DPS. It is the tankiest mage spec and has a straightforward rotation. Overall, it is reliable, safe, and strong.
- **Survival Hunter - A Tier** [09:56] — Survival Hunter has solid single-target, extremely high burst AoE with bombs, and a good damage profile. However, its utility is very poor, lacking group buffs. It is held back by utility but could be S tier if it had better utility.
- **Devastation Evoker - A Tier (continued)** [11:03] — Devastation Evoker has good single-target and shines in AoE burst at the start of fights. It is front-loaded and can carry low keys, but struggles in high keys (12s-15s) if packs live longer than 30-40 seconds. Utility is good with stuns and AoE stops.
- **Fury Warrior - A Tier** [12:34] — Fury Warrior is fun with many talents. Single-target is average, but AoE is very consistent and high. Survivability is strong with natural leech. Brings good utility for melee cleave groups, including an attack power buff that was increased to 8%.
- **Elemental Shaman - A Tier** [14:07] — Elemental Shaman is reliant on cooldowns for crazy damage. Single-target is decent, AoE is front-loaded burst. Outside of cooldowns, it falls flat. Shaman survivability is considered the squishiest in the game. Brings totems, raid buff, and bloodlust.
- **Subtlety Rogue - A Tier** [15:29] — Subtlety Rogue is back and strong, but the rotation is very vanilla (Shadow Strike/Shuriken Storm into Black Powder/Eviscerate). AoE is one of the best in the game, but single-target is average to subpar. Utility is poor.
- **Shadow Priest - A Tier** [17:01] — Shadow Priest is good just about everywhere: strong single-target, good AoE with improved Psychic Link. It is a bit rampy and has poor utility outside of Mass Dispel and PI. It is slightly below the top specs.
- **Enhancement Shaman - A Tier** [17:53] — Enhancement Shaman has ridiculous single-target with Ascendance, but falls off in high pulls with uncapped AoE. The Surging Totem redesign to 1-minute cooldown is disliked. It is incredibly fragile but has incredible burst and utility.
- **Destruction Warlock - B Tier** [19:13] — Destruction Warlock has good AoE in uncapped scenarios with Cataclysm, Channel Demonfire, and Rain of Fire. Single-target is weak. It is built for uncapped AoE, not low-target cleave. Survivability and utility are good, but Affliction and Demonology dominate.
- **Outlaw Rogue - B Tier** [20:21] — Outlaw Rogue has good potential but single-target feels weak due to reliance on Blade Flurry. AoE is good. Survivability is strong with Evasion and Cloak of Shadows. Utility is poor. It is consistent but lacks utility.
- **Feral Druid - B Tier** [21:39] — Feral Druid's Apex talent is finally working, making AoE very strong. Single-target is among the worst. Survivability in cat form is weak. Brings Mark of the Wild and Battle Res. Good for melee cleave comps but lacking in single-target.
- **Marksmanship Hunter - B Tier** [22:47] — Marksmanship Hunter has front-loaded AoE damage that is very strong in low-level keys, similar to Devastation Evoker. Single-target is bad, utility is not good. Survivability is good. Can carry low keys but struggles in higher keys.
- **Assassination Rogue - B Tier** [23:57] — Assassination Rogue requires real skill and setup. It is very strong in AoE if mobs live long, but ramp-heavy and bad in low-level keys. It comes online in 10s-13s. Utility is awful, but defensive toolkit is good.
- **Balance Druid - B Tier** [25:09] — Balance Druid has high pad DPS in AoE, good single-target, but no priority damage. It is bad in low-level keys due to ramp time. In high-level spell cleave comps (13s-15s), it can do stupid damage. Survivability is decent, utility is good.
- **Augmentation Evoker - B Tier** [26:29] — Augmentation Evoker is not good in low-level keys and is very dependent on team quality. It can look strong in a good comp but is placed at the bottom of B tier for pugging. Potential to go up to mid A tier.
- **Retribution Paladin - B Tier** [27:23] — Retribution Paladin has great utility and can carry low-level keys, but AoE becomes stat-paddy and single-target falls behind in higher keys. It is cooldown-reliant on Wake of Ashes. Survivability is good.
- **Beast Mastery Hunter - C Tier** [28:19] — Beast Mastery Hunter has bad single-target after nerfs, decent AoE, and is consistent. It is a casual, easy DPS but falls behind Survival and Marksmanship. Survivability is strong, but it brings nothing unique.
- **Frost Death Knight - C Tier** [29:14] — Frost Death Knight is very cooldown-reliant. It has strong AoE burst but severely underwhelming single-target. It is tanky and useful but not as good as Unholy. Needs big pulls to get payoff.
- **Arms Warrior - C Tier** [30:08] — Arms Warrior was nerfed heavily, with Blade Storm doing most of the work. Single-target is inconsistent, AoE is mid. Survivability is worse than Fury. Utility is good for melee cleave, but nothing else is strong.
- **Fire Mage - D Tier** [31:27] — Fire Mage is gutted outside of Combustion. Damage outside of Combustion is horrible, AoE is nerfed heavily, single-target is weak and inconsistent. It is over-reliant on cooldowns and only comes online in 10s-13s. Worst mage spec.
- **Havoc Demon Hunter - D Tier** [32:46] — Havoc Demon Hunter's single-target is one of the weakest in the game, and AoE fell behind. It is not competitive compared to other specs. Devourer beats it in almost every way. It is a damage number tuning issue.
- **Windwalker Monk - D Tier** [33:54] — Windwalker Monk has really bad single-target, nerfed and unreliable AoE. It is high effort with low payoff. Mystic Touch is the only real utility, but Brewmaster is dominating. Not worth playing.

away and it's time to bring you all the official DPS tier list before we get though, just some quick context. This is not some 99th percentile sweat lord tier list. This is a real world power example for Midnight aimed at players that are
pushing from lower to mid-level mythic plus to around plus 12s and 13s for your title in season 1. This is not some perfect parsing tournament comp DPS list here. So of course we're looking at damage, but we're also looking at
consistency, survivability, and how well the spec can actually perform on its own in a pug group when things aren't perfect. Just know that every spec on this list, no matter what, can do anywhere between 10 to 12s for the
mythic plus. This tier list is simply there to give you an example of what classes can be a little bit easier to get there, a little less stress. With jump in the list. First up guys, we got to talk about the arcane mage. I think
war within all throughout beta. This spec dominated, and now we're at the point where we're in Midnight and it's dominating again. Right now, single target is one of if not the best in the game by far, uh between you know, your
course your single target is still perfect compared to the war within's, playing spell slinger, which makes them look really good on the DPS meters for not really doing a whole lot of work. So I think it's solid in terms of AoE
arcane pulse ability, which is really good for filler damage. Uh it's really really nice, and the priority damage is still dominant with the arcane barrage stuff like that. So from a straight damage output perspective, they're
really really solid. They're still reliant on cool downs, but not as much when you have, you know, your arcane pulse and uh spell slinger passive going off consistently, which is pretty good. Um do know that mage survivability is a
expansions. You know, before you had a live whatever you want if you knew what you were doing on a mage. So, now you definitely got pruned and hit pretty hard in terms of defensive. So, you're
like Alter Time and properly, you know, constantly getting your shield up and running so you're you're good to go and take some damage. Um overall though, they bring good utility. I would say the bottom line is that they're they're
some of the best damage in the game overall right now across the board. And next, we got to talk about the demonology warlock. Now, when the rework first came out for demonology, I was incredibly impressed by how streamlined
their rotation actually is and you give them proper tuning and demonology is off been going on right now. Their single target right now is just extremely strong and very, very consistent on a rotation that's not really hard to play
if you've ever liked that whole, you know, pet mastermind thing from like much hitting the nail on the head for it. Your pets are kicking ass. Uh their cleave, which is good. So, overall damage profile for single
target, priority damage, and AoE damage, it it fits and it's all working really well. I will say they do have a little bit of ramp, but not as much as before, you had to set up five, six, seven global cooldowns and then you can get in
out, which now gets both your dogs and your char hound out, you get a few of imps out, and then you're popping your tyrant and you're going to nuke everything in the game. Now, also what I really love about warlock is that
they're very like self-reliant in terms of sustain. Like they have their they have a couple hero talents that can buff it as well. You also have your your big absorb shield. Um they can pretty much live anything completely on their
the best survivability toolkit in the game for a ranged DPS. And they're just extremely forgiving in terms of rotation and everything. So, I love it. I love they give their battle res, as well as their, you know, demonic gateway if
thing, which is frustrating, but overall, demonology is definitely a safe S-tier spec, dominating damage across the board. Very, very fun, very on next, we have to talk about unholy. Now, unholy had a really big question
lot of issues in the war within that was just really annoying rotationally, and we now know they got the rework, and it's done wonders for them. It's such a fun spec to play. Now, aside from fun, cuz we know this is all about power for
you guys. You guys love power tier list. Um, single target, their damage is absolutely ridiculous. Your army that you can like bring out and summon all these minions and then your magus of the dead and everything during your big cool
down windows tied to your apex talent, your damage is ridiculous. Your AoE is also really good, also. I would say the one thing about unholy has a little bit some of the other specs in the game right now, but overall, their damage
output in general, just raw DPS, if you know what you're doing, is amongst the best in the game. Uh, what I really love is that everything's kind of like front-loaded burst now. It's not really too much ramping anymore. Like before
have to ramp so many things to get some damage going, but now it's it's not as much. You're strong both in, you know, short bursty pulls, but also long duration heavy mass AoE pulls, which is good. Um, of course, we all know death
knight is arguably one of the best survivable sort of melee DPS specs in the roof with their sustain and just their natural damage mitigation, so it's utility with their grips and constant crowd control and everything. I would
of a jack-of-all-trades for damage right now. Single target, good. AoE, good. Incredible survivability. Not too much ramp reliance or cool down reliance anymore. Fun rotation, unique, you name it, they got it. Moving on next, we got
to start off the A-tier with, believe it or not, Affliction Warlock. Where is Warlock absolutely goes in the A tier in my opinion only because I absolutely love the rotation right now. We all know
into a dot spec. They're like very strong in single target and priority damage. It is absolutely insane. You have a really strong execute phase with some of your talents. Haunt does a piss load of priority damage and they do have
some ramp, yes, which I worry about them in lower tier Mythic Plus, but man, I feel like their damage output has so much priority to almost carry groups if you're really solid with Affliction, which I really enjoy. I'm I'm loving the
the game. I might even main it heading into new uh you know, expansion, but I would say overall, yes, they have some heavier ramp, definitely slower starts compared to some other specs now that you're a full dot spec again. Um but I
to dominate. So, if you can get past those initial keys and get your own key of course, your survivability is still a knockout of the park with Warlock. you shield, your full health healing health stone whenever you want. Um and of
would say bottom line is that I would say for longer pulls, this spec absolutely shines and does some of the best damage in the entire game. It does might struggle, but if you know what you're doing and you can break through
that, you know, low ELO hell of barrier of like anywhere between key levels 1 you should be able to come online and dominate and do really well enough to other, you know, teammates and team comps to be able to do anything. I love
the rotation, love the damage. Haunt is phenomenal. Apex talents really good. next to Devour. Whoa, Devour Demon Hunter in the A tier. What are you even talking about, Sky? Well, let me break down why. Uh Devour, we all know is a
very very straightforward spec right now in World of Warcraft. It's literally three or four buttons. Um it's a very solid DPS spec for single target. It's not elite, but I feel like where they really come online is those AoE packs.
causes problems most of the time is those AoE packs that can get kind of crazy. Now, they don't have great priority. It's decent. It's just It's really just consume. So, they're really not that good in terms of priority, but
the AoE damage is crazy. So, they're Think of them kind of like destruction warlock or balance druid. They have the just ridiculous mass AoE damage, but if you know what you're doing on this spec, the difference between a decent devourer
and a really good one, dude, I've gotten [ __ ] on by good devourer demon hunters. And they just toss out so many collapsing stars. So, the damage is good. It's really smooth to get everything going. It does take a little
your metamorphosis state, but overall, they're fun. Their survivability is they have double blur, which is nice, so which is safer, I would say, than most DPS specs. Their utility is still decent with their chaos brand and short
that. So, that's kind of good. I would just say bottom line is just they're very consistent in terms of overall AoE. Their single target, I would say, is not that strong, but their AoE is really good. And in terms of Mythic Plus trying
like that's where the big problem is. So, I think they're really solid. For frost mage, we're going to actually put them up next. Frost mage, man, I'm loving this spec right now. They've done such a good job over at Blizzard, you
heading into midnight, and I think they did so, so good, man. Their single target is really good after the recent buffs. Their AoE is still strong. They It did get nerfed pretty hard, I'm not
going to lie, but it is still strong enough to where it It's still cracking AoE. I would say overall, they have great cleave, good priority funnel damage, consistent DPS, not really reliant on
tanky as the mage spec. And then individually, as a mage spec, they're the tankiest in the game, which which nice. Um, would just say overall, they're just a very consistent solid spec, straightforward rotation, easy to
dive into and learn. I can talk about the spec for 2 hours uh between how much Ray of Frost and Comet Storm going, and then you have very high consistent think they're The bottom line is just they're reliable, safe, and strong. Not
really much to to to brag about in terms of Frost Mage other than that. Moving on next, a very big surprise. I can't believe this still is up in a high tier believe it. I honestly just almost speechless at this point because
Survival has a really solid single target. I like their Apex talent design, thematic and did something cool. Uh their AoE is obviously extremely extremely high burst damage with their boomstick combo, especially with bombs
and stuff like that. So, their damage profile is money, in my opinion. My problem is their utility is really bad. Like, they don't really have anything utility-wise. They don't bring the group buff or anything like that. Um, Binding
Shot is whatever. Intimidation's like just a basic single target stun. Nothing too too awesome here. I will say what I like about them is they're very safe in terms of survivability for themself, and I love their damage output in terms of
single target AoE and even priority damage. So, I love that. They're not very satisfying burst damage windows. I would just say overall, great damage profile, just held back drastically by utility, I would say. If If Hunter had
some actual utility like a group buff or Hunter's Mark can be on them as well, spec potentially going into S tier. Moving on next, yo, we do have the Devastation Evoker. I didn't love Devastation in The War Within. Um,
love what they did with them rotationally. I would say single target, they're in a pretty good spot. It's not the best out there, but I think where they shine the most, of course, is their AoE burst damage at the start of the
fight. It is so stupid. I I like the numbers you can obtain if you know what you're doing tied with their Apex talent your dragon rage combos with your into big big damage like you'll just nuke everything. Of course, as the
longer fights go on, your damage is going to drop a bit. Of course, we all know it's very front-loaded heavy burst damage. So in low keys, you can evoker. The thing I worry about devastation is those really high keys
anywhere between like 12s to 14s 15s. It could get to the point where you're just you expended everything. You got nothing left in the tank. So if you if packs can die anywhere between 25 30 40 seconds, you're feeling pretty good on
devastation. Anything longer than that, yeah, you're probably going to struggle. decent defensives um and their utility is pretty good, too. They got a lot of consistent stuns and AoE stops. Uh their group buff is
the game as evoker, but I would say the bottom line is that insane burst damage to carry low-level keys. Pretty poor priority damage and pretty average single target. So in high keys, it could be a struggle for them. But overall, you
next, we do have one of my favorite specs in the game now, man. I got to say fury warrior. Man, this spec is fun. The things they did to this spec in terms of them overall. I am loving it. So many fun talents to dive into.
I would say the single target is pretty average. It's not too consistent, but their AoE is just really really good sustain high DPS. I like to think of them almost like an outlaw rogue now. If you guys ever played outlaw rogue in war
within or even on the beta right now like they're very very consistent. And higher than outlaw rogue is very simple. Their survivability is nasty and I actually think warrior brings good utility for melee cleave groups right
which is actually really strong due to the buff now in mythic plus. Their attack power buff getting buffed as well by another 3% by I forgot the talent name, but it goes from 5% to 8% now. It's really good. You know, melee cleave
simple as that. There's nothing that's going to change that. And fury is substantially dominating compared to arms warrior. So, overall, fury warrior will always have a spot for melee cleave groups, bar none. Um, so I really like
that. I think their survivability is a lot better than arms as well with their natural leech. And then some of their cool downs feel pretty good to press on would say they're solid, bottom line. Pretty durable, mandatory melee cleave
comps, really really consistent high damage in terms of AoE packs. Um, but I would say they're not dominating anything in particular. They're just above average in a few things and they bring really good utility now compared
that you need for for a melee cleave. So, I I like fury warrior in that sense. Moving on next to elemental shaman. Man, the reason why I have elemental shaman a bit low on the A tier is very simple. They're very reliant on their cool downs
to deal crazy damage. The single target is decent still. Their AoE is just ridiculous front loaded burst. But the problem is is outside of their cool downs, they tend to fall a bit flat. So, my beef with elemental shaman is that
you need a group that you know how everybody's going to be pulling. And that's my one issue is like you could pop your cool downs and the tank just packs max. And you know, you don't have your cool downs ready to go. What if
and you're not, you know, it it's kind of a freaking problem. So, other than that, I also hate shaman's survivability as a whole. I think it's probably the squishiest DPS class in the game between enhancement elemental. Really really
poor defensive capabilities. Like got to be the worst in the game in my opinion. I would say I what I do love and what what's great about shaman in general is bring their totems, they bring their raid buff, they bring bloodlust. So,
they check a lot of boxes. So, in terms of utility and big burst damage and and like big high priority issue packs, if you know the routes and your tank is can get some really good play. The problem is is if your tank isn't doing
things right and your group is kind of messy, Elemental Shaman can actually be lower on the A tier. Moving on next, we have Subtlety Rogue. Holy [ __ ] sub is here and it's back and it's strong. My one issue is I think Subtlety Rogue's
rotation is a bit vanilla. Uh they pruned it substantially. It's not the spec that is like a super high skill cap spec anymore. Very very vanilla. It's Shadow Strike or Shuriken Storm into Black Powder or Eviscerate. That's
literally the rotation. I'm not even [ __ ] you. Look up a guide. It's four Now, depending on who you ask, it's a really good thing or a really bad thing. whatever. Going back to now the tier list and the DPS perspective, their AoE
overall. I would say one of the better AoE damage in the game. Their single target is kind of whatever. It's kind of like average to sub par that I found. And not only that, the rotation is really boring. Um so, there's going to
here. But in terms of single target, they might struggle, which could leave them to have some issues in those higher, you know, plus 11 12 13s area. Uh utility for Rogue, still absolute swamp ass. Uh not good at all. They
don't really bring much other than, you know, their blind, the you know, the occasional stun, good control for single target areas, but they don't they don't bring anything. Uh so, I would say from a bottom line, like overall synopsis of
look pretty good in terms of AoE. I would say for single target, they utility. But their AoE makes up for it for now. Uh moving on next, we have the Shadow Priest. Now, I think Shadow Priest, if I had to just give them a
blanket statement, just they're just good just about everywhere. I would say their single target is still pretty damn strong. AoE is good, of course, with the new improved buffed Psychic Link and then it's they make it a lot easier with
your Tentacle Slams and stuff. So, it's pretty good. Their their profile is good there. Now, the thing I don't love about them is that it's kind of rampy a little bit. Uh, not only that, I don't love the talent tree design. The one
thing I don't love about them is the fact that their kick is pretty much it's non-existent. It's a very long cool down, and their utility is really bad outside of just mass dispel and PI. But, I would say from an overall perspective,
around. Just They're just definitely not as impressive as some of these other specs like unholy, demonology, arcane mage, affliction, devour. I would just say they're they're just slightly below. They're in the A tier, but they're not
as dominant as I would personally like to see a shadow priest. Um, moving on next to another melee DPS, we have enhancement shaman. Here we are. Um, I would say overall, from a pure damage perspective, single target is still
ridiculous the second you have your ascendance up. You will melt everything around you if you know what you're doing on enhancement. The problem with enhancement is that if you have a really high like amount of pulls, and you're
specs that have good uncapped AoE, and your and your tank wants to pull a lot your and your tank wants to pull a lot of mobs, they fall off very very hard. Um, my issue also is that with the totemic redesign, the the surging totem
personally now. I would have liked it down to 30 seconds again. Uh, 1 minute really don't like it. Of course, the priority damage is still ridiculous if ascendance. It's absolutely insane. They're definitely relying on cool
downs. My problem, once again with shaman in general, incredibly fragile. up your defensives, you're going to die. the plus side to that, incredible burst
damage, really strong utility, just absolutely incredible utility kit. Uh, games. I would say the bottom line is that really high highs, and then when you're going to have probably a a lot of really low lows. I would say in terms of
is going to end up being a problem, which could suck when you're trying to hit that 3K rating. Uh moving on now to B tier. Uh first up, we actually have destruction warlock. Now, listen, from a pure damage perspective, their AoE is
pretty good. Um you still do the the classic cataclysm and the channel demon fire and the rain of fire conflagrate rain of spam. That's That's literally the AoE rotation, and you'll do really good in
uncapped AoE scenarios. If you're trying to pull four, five, six mobs at a time, compared to some specs who have lower, better. For example, uh devastation evoker, survival hunter, uh demonology
warlock, arcane mage, uh maybe even frost mage. So, I think destruction warlock is really built for an uncapped AoE scenario, not really good on the low target cleave. Single target is rather weak compared to other specs, which is a
freaking amazing. Their survivability is still good, utility still the same as warlock, hellstone, soulstone, gateway, stuff like that. But, I would just say destruction's biggest weakness right now is that affliction and demonology are
dominating. Uh moving on next, uh we are going to be talking about the outlaw rogue. Now, believe it or not, outlaw actually has really good potential this expansion, and I do think they made a step in the right direction from War
Within heading into Midnight. My issue is that their single target still feels like [ __ ] when the fact that this entire class is designed around blade flurry damage, and they're just so dependent on that whole gimmick, and Blizzard doesn't
really know how to tune them properly without like nerfing blade flurry, buffing everything else by like 5 to 10%, and it's a In my personal opinion, it's just a mess to to sort of delegate and figure out where the right area is
for them. So, single target I still think is a major issue for outlaw. Very random. AoE is still good. Blade flurry, though, I'm so over this as a design. I think they should rework it, but it is what it is. Um they're not really
just Outlaw Rogue. Survivability is really, really good with, you know, that, Evasion, uh and their Cloak of Shadows. So, very, very forgiving Rogue. Problem with Rogue, of course, still, utility is absolute dog [ __ ]
It's not good at all. I would say the bottom line, very, very consistent DPS, strong defensive ability cool toolkit, so you could do good in the low tier for Mythic Plus. My problem is they have no utility. They could fit in a melee
cleave. Other than that, not really loving Rogue in general, but Outlaw Rogue specifically. Uh moving on next to the Feral Druid. Now, it's very, very here is because their apex talent finally came online and it's actually
working. It's not bugged anymore. And their AoE is really, really strong right now. I would say one of their biggest weaknesses is that their survivability is kind of bleh. Yeah, I mean, if you go in in your bear form, you're going to be
tanky enough you'll never die. But their survivability in cat form feels really weak, and their single target is pretty bad. Like, amongst one of the worst, I single target, if you're specced in Mythic Plus build, holy [ __ ] it feels
doesn't feel good at all, either. I would say from a raw damage perspective, the highlight of Feral is that their AoE feels really good. Um and their utility best uh you know, group buff in the game with Mark of the Wild. You have your
Battle Resurrection. You have pretty decent control. Uh so, you're pretty flexible on that route. I would say the bottom line and overall synopsis of this is that really good AoE. So, if you're pulling a lot, you're going to do well.
terms of melee cleave comps, so that's going to be good. Uh but single target, they are lacking. I'm I'm not loving it. Um moving on next, though, we are Marksmanship Hunter now. Now, listen, I'll say right now, in terms of
low-level keys, if you know what you're doing, Marksmanship's very similar to to Devastation Evoker. Their front-load AoE damage is so stupid, it's awesome. And the fact that you can sit a mile away and just let out these nuclear sniper
aim shot cleave damage abilities, it is it is actually very satisfying and a lot of fun. Um the problem I would say with them is their single target's kind of like bad, and their utility is just not good. So, single target kind of bad,
utility is not really good, AoE burst is really good, can potentially carry in burst, and I don't love that sort of gameplay style. I will say, from a survivability perspective, Hunter still very good, and they're very tanky for a
if you know what you're doing. So, that's what I really love. Good AoE damage, good survivability, not relying on heals. You can potentially carry low-level keys. My issue is higher-level keys, things are going to be a problem.
compared to everybody else. Uh moving on next to the Assassination Rogue. Um now, I hold on. We need to make something very clear. I don't have major beef with Assassination. I do think they're pretty good. It requires real skill and setup
to play this class properly. And for some players out there, they're just not interested in [ __ ] like this. You do not need to set up anything with Subtlety there, pop damage, pop your three-button rotation, and top the damage meters in
terms of AoE. Assassination is not like that. They take a lot of setup, take a lot of time. And I would say for AoE, they're very strong if the mobs can live long. So, for example, I like to think of them almost like a melee DPS
And you need to be able to break that barrier of low-level Mythic Plus to really make Assassination look good and anywhere between 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s. That's where I feel like Assassination just comes online. They do really good
priority damage, really ramp heavy, so they're bad in low-level keys. Once again, with Rogue, you have awful utility, good defensive toolkit though, perspective, they're very powerful if they're allowed to ramp up. But if man,
low-level keys, you're going to get zero value out of assassination, which I don't really like. Moving on to another ramper, uh we got to talk about balance druid. Man, I am a very big sucker for balance druid right now. I'm not going
to lie. I I really love the main gameplay theme and style. Very high pad stat padding DPS in terms of AoE rotation. Uh the single target's pretty good, it's not great. But my problem with them is that they have no priority
damage, and they're not going to do well at all in low-level keys. Like you don't have enough time to ramp up and get things going to hit that big payoff window that balance typically does. Now, if you're in a spell cleave comp with
maybe arcane mage, destruction warlock, balance druid, you could do some stupid [ __ ] in high-level keys. Like 13s, 14s, even 15s, you could do stupid [ __ ] on balance druid. My problem is they got to break that barrier really bad, and
druid. You're just you're trying to pad those meters as much as you can with Starfall and get through it. I would say their survivability is decent. Of never going to die, which is still a pain in the ass, and their utility is
really good. So in that perspective, strong utility, good for spell cleave comp in high-level mythic plus. You just got to break that barrier, good DPS definitely use some work in low-level keys. Moving on next, speaking of use
the show for that is augmentation evoker. I know every tier list out there is going to say augmentation's either S tier or A plus tier, you're an idiot if We're not talking about plus 15s, 16s. We're talking about anywhere between
plus fives to plus 12s to 13s to get that mythic title, and then you're good looking to push keys, I'm trying to get my title, and I'm trying to give you guys the information that can relate to that. Augmentation is not good at all.
Number one, in low-level keys, it's absolutely horrible. Number two, it teammates are. If you're grouped up with bad teammates, you're not going to get any value out of augmentation. So, that's a problem. Very dependent on comp
quality and you know, team comp as well heading into Mythic Plus, but let me said, if you're with a really good comp, yeah, this [ __ ] can look absolutely stupid. I would say it can easily go up to mid A tier and potentially high A
tier. But, because like most of you, I'm going to be shouldering or pugging, I'm put them at the bottom of B. I do think they have potential. I don't know. Just Moving on, next we have the Retribution Paladin. I'm going to put them probably
the bottom of B tier only because the simple fact that I love their utility, and they have the potential to carry groups in low-level keys. My issue is when you're trying to break that barrier and get into those high-level keys of of
you know, anywhere between 11s to 13s, 14s, your AoE starts to look a little bit stat paddy, and your single target falls behind drastically. Their priority course cool down relying on their Wake of Ashes cool down damage windows. What
I do love, S tier utility, really good survivability. You're not really going to die if you know what you're doing. And I would just say overall, the things that's bringing Ret Paladin down is their damage profile in the higher-level
hasn't changed much, but I think they could definitely use some work. Moving on now to C tier. This is where things start to fall a bit. I would just say Mastery Hunter. The single target nerfs to them really hurt them overall, so
their single target's pretty bad. Their AoE is decent. It's definitely nowhere near, I would say, Marksmanship. Uh it's very consistent, though, so I like that. compared to Marksmanship and survivability. I'm kind of giving this
spec the same treatment as destruction warlock. Like it's not a horrible spec, but it's just nowhere near marksman or survival hunter. So, it has to drop substantially. Yes, it's still there for being like a very casual easy DPS that
I feel like in terms of raw damage because and utility-wise beast mastery I bring a beast mastery hunter instead of a survival hunter or a marksman deal lower damage and not bring anything unique, I'm I'm good. I I could just
pass on it. Um I think their apex talent's decent. Survivability is still very strong. Safe and easy spec. Just definitely falling behind uh survival have the frost death knight. Now, my problem with frost death knight is
they're a very very cool down reliant. Unless you're pulling a ridiculous amount of mobs, you are not going to have a big payoff compared to specs like unholy death knight or elemental shaman or even enhancement. Um it just doesn't
ready as before in the war within. I think that's a simple number tuning thing and they might fix that, but I think they're trying to push unholy as lot of development time into that. And you know how Blizzard is. Um overall,
once again, very cool down reliant, strong AoE burst damage, single target severely underwhelming and lacking. I love their survivability, decent utility with good control grips and stuff like that. Bottom line is that they're tanky,
useful, but just not as good as unholy at all. Very cool down reliant and if going to suffer and get your ass whooped. Speaking of getting its ass whooped, this is a disaster. The latest changes to arms warrior hurt my heart
this was supposed to be my main heading mode. Shout out to warriors out there because I'm sure you guys go through experiencing it for the first time ever.
the spot arms warrior was in. I thought the damage being there overpowered and good. I thought it was balanced. Apparently, it wasn't. They nerfed the [ __ ] out of everything and they buffed Blade Storm. Not loving it. Single
inconsistent because Blade Storm is doing nearly everything for you. and everything else just feels a lot more poor like compared to Fury Warrior. So, that's not good. And uh yeah, right now things just feel clunky with the
adjusted. I'm hoping it is. Survivability's decent, not as good as Fury Warrior cuz Fury Warrior has a lot of natural leech. Okay. Utility's good. going to beg God that they somewhat get buffs. Please let me play Arms Warrior.
Invite me instead of a Fury Warrior. If that person's stupid enough to invite me, okay, I can maybe perform and do my job. Bottom line, nothing here is target AoE is pretty mid. Survivability's a lot worse than Fury.
general for a melee cleave comp, so that's cool, but nothing else is strong here. This definitely sucks. Moving on to D tier. Talking about sucks. Pause on that. We're talking about Fire Mage. Um it's very, very simple here. I
think they gutted Fire Mage a little bit too much. My problem is that still, yet again, through 3 months, 4 months of testing and giving feedback, this class is absolute swamp ass tier outside of combustion. Your damage outside of a
combustion is absolutely horrible. It is not fun. We don't have anything to get King's Blessing, which personally I preferred. AoE is nerfed heavily. Single very, very weak and inconsistent
I'm not happy. I'm not happy about Fire Mages. This was my main character at the end of season 3 of The War Within. And uh they're still over-reliant on cool-downs and they did nothing for them. And you got to understand, with
this damage toolkit that they have, um they're actually quite horrible in low-level keys and they only even come online slightly when you get to 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s. So, if you're trying to play Fire Mage before that, everything
dies too fast and you don't get any value out of combustion. Really, really Mages. Utility is still decent as a mage, but overall, it's very simple. It's just the worst mage spec right now. Needs tuning. Not good at all. Moving on
next to Havoc Demon Hunter. Here's the problem. Havoc actually was in a pretty damn good spot, but after changes throughout the last couple months, their single target is now one of the weakest in the game. AoE fell behind pretty
badly compared to other specs. It's definitely not keeping up with Devourer. longer competitive compared to other specs in the game like Arcane Mage, Assassination Rogue, Affliction Warlock, even Subtlety Rogue whoops their ass in
don't have anything where I look at Havoc and be like, "Okay, at least they have this." That's not the case anymore. Devourer beats them in pretty much every now easier to play than Havoc in my opinion. Not only that, they're really
damage. And even then, even when they have their cooldowns up and running, I saying this class is dead water? No, because I think they have a lot going I think their rotation is a lot more streamlined and fun. I just simply think
it's a damage number tuning issue. Tune it up. Make me feel good. I like Havoc. I am betting on this spec, and I hope it is good. I just know for a fact though, people to play it. So, they're probably going to pull back Havoc a little bit
until later on in season 1. Bottom line, it was really good. Now, Devourer is dominating. Moving on last, but certainly [ __ ] least, we have Windwalker. This one sucks absolute ass to talk about. This hurts. Because I'm
looking for an excuse to play Windwalker Monk and hop on my human monk, Fist of Fury, big Conduit of Celestials, big rotation with Yu'lon, and super speed Fist of Fury, and I can't do it anymore. I'm depressed. I'm sad. Single target is
really bad. AoE is very nerfed and unreliable and difficult to pull off. it's still not enough as some of the other classes in the game that make it it's it's just so hard to hit the numbers other specs are hitting even if
you do [ __ ] perfectly. So it's like what are we talking about here? Where is the the big payoff for playing a Windwalker Monk? The really only thing I can think of is Mystic Touch. But the problem is is Brewmaster is absolutely dominating
and you already know for a melee cleave comp, I'm not bringing a Windwalker. I'm going to grab a Brewmaster. I'll go Fury Warrior, give me a Feral Druid, and maybe a Resto Shaman, and I'm good. I'll take maybe a Marksmanship Hunter as a as
my third DPS. So like I don't know. I I think it sucks, man. Survivability is well. The bottom line is very simple. Just way too much high effort to pull something off, low payoff, and just not worth the
I think their apex talent is pretty mid that needs rework, but love the rotation. Feels really good. Just it just you know, there's nothing to pay off for it. So it kind of sucks. Um other other than that, ladies and
heading into Midnight season 1. There might be a couple updates here or there, we're going to make heading into the season. Uh I might make one more tier can play heading in the new expansion, but overall, this is it. I hope you guys
interested, check out our weekly live show on Wednesday and Saturday nights. Much love. God bless. I will see you in the next one. Peace.
