# How to Go Viral on Instagram in 2026: 5 Proven Strategies

> Source: [How to Go Viral on Instagram in 2026: 5 Proven Strategies](https://youtube.com/watch?v=zQOccoWYk44)

## Summary

This video presents a five-step strategy for going viral on Instagram in 2026, emphasizing text-based content, audience validation, keyword comments, metadata alignment, and page warming. The creator uses real examples of successful creators to illustrate each tactic.

### Key Points

- **Mix in text-based content** [00:15] — Incorporate multiple text-only posts weekly (long descriptions, memes, carousels). These posts go viral more often than other content types and save creation time.
- **Validate audience interest before posting** [02:58] — Use Instagram search to check if similar videos have high view counts. If not, don't make the video. This prevents flops and wasted effort.
- **Focus on keyword comments** [05:40] — Encourage viewers to comment a specific keyword related to the video's hook. This boosts engagement and signals the algorithm to promote the post. ManyChat can automate DMing resources to commenters.
- **Align metadata across account and content** [07:39] — Ensure your username, bio, and content keywords match. Instagram matches account metadata with content metadata to understand your niche and distribute content.
- **Warm up your page** [10:02] — Build trust with the algorithm by engaging in your niche before posting. For old pages switching niches, spend days 1-4 scrolling and engaging, then post every other day. For new pages, set up profile, engage, then post daily after day 4.

### Conclusion

To go viral on Instagram in 2026, creators must adapt to new tactics: prioritize text content, validate demand, drive keyword comments, align metadata, and warm up the account. Implementing these steps increases the likelihood of viral success.

## Transcript

I just helped this creator, this creator, and this creator go viral on Instagram and none of them have a lot of followers. By the end of this video, you're going to know a five-step strategy that you can implement today that you're going to be able to copy no matter what niche you're in or how long you've been creating content for
and it's going to make it way easier for you to go viral right now in 2026 because it's easier than I'm able to afford to go viral so long as you learn from these new tactics. Change number one is you need to begin mixing in multiple pieces of content every single week on Instagram
that are only text-based. And lucky for you, there are actually several different ways that you could do this. You could do this by writing a long description, by using memes. You could use this by creating your own memes. There's so many different ways. And I actually want to walk you through a bunch of different examples of this
because I don't want you to get discouraged and say to yourself, Rob, I don't want to do that because there are so many different ways that you could do this. And these posts go viral more often than any other type of content. Let me show you. Now, there are multiple different ways for you to be able to do this.
For example, if we come over here, we could see this creator's page. She has tons of different posts here that have a lot of text on them, and they typically do pretty well. So, if we come over to this one right here, we could see that this video did pretty solid,
and she has nine symptoms of high cortisol that my doctor never addressed that wrecked my life. And it goes through one, two, three, goes through all nine of them. And then, she also has this incredibly long description right here.
And what we could see is that tons of people are commenting system, which is what she actually wanted people to comment right here, in order to learn without their heel and lose 45 pounds. If we come over all of her content, a lot of it does this same exact thing.
And look at how many people are commenting. Hundreds of people are commenting. She's not talking in the content. Just a long description and just a long post right here. If we come over to Dr. Jones, we could see that he's doing the same thing, but in several different ways.
For example, this one right here, no talking, just all text. It's all text on these carousel slides inside of the description. We can see that he's getting tons of people to comment protocol right here, which has to do with this post.
And he's had several posts like this go viral, and they absolutely crush. The other thing that he does is this right here, where it's just a post of him doing something like eating this sushi roll right here.
And then he has all these different things that pop up here. Again, just all text. So there are multiple different ways for you to do this. We can see a super long description here also. And if we come over to this creator, she did the same exact thing.
So the Dion as a dermatologist, just her at her computer right here scrolling. The video is going to loop. This gets tons of people to view, tons of people to engage. And these hooks and these different types of content right here are some of the most successful things that you could do on Instagram right now if you want to do two things.
One, increase the odds that you go viral. And two, quite frankly, spend way less time creating content. Change number two is that before you ever upload a video to Instagram, you need to make sure that there is a large audience that is actually interested in that type of content.
Lucky for you, Instagram has actually made this easier than ever before for you to be able to figure out. But this is one of the number one reasons that you won't get reach on Instagram, because here's the deal. If you go to Instagram, you do a search for something, and you don't find a bunch of other
viral videos that a sign that you shouldn even bother making the video that you about to create If you begin to implement this strategy right here into your Instagram viral strategy guess what It one going to help you get more views almost instantly
But then also, secondly, it's going to stop you from having videos that just flop or just don't do well where you might be wasting your time right now. Now, here's how you're actually going to do that. What you want to do is you want to come over to Instagram right here and you want to do search with meta.
For example, let's say that you were about to post about a new Rolex or a new watch. We can type in something like 5711R, and when we type this in, we are now going to see for you,
we're going to see profiles that are associated with this. We're going to see audios that are associated with this. We'll also see hashtags, but what we're really most interested in is for you. We want to see right here how many views these videos have got.
We can see this one's got 250,000, 589,000, 49,000, 42,000, 500,000. So most of these videos right here are in the $40,000 to $500,000 range.
Now, if we compare that to something else, like we come over here and we type in Rolex Panda, what we're going to find is a totally different view segment. We have $80,000, $250,000, $400,000, and then a bunch of different photo posts right here.
So what this actually reveals to us is if we had these two topics to choose from, guess what? I would go with the 5711R because there were way more videos that got way more reach, which means way more people on Instagram are actually interested in this.
Now, let's say that we were going to look up something else because the watch might have gone over some of your heads. Let's say that we wanted to do something like get bigger biceps. We could come over here and we could type in get bigger biceps. Then we could see 9 million views, 34 million, 6 million, 7 million.
and let's say that we were actually going to contrast that with Get Bigger Cats. What we can do is come over here and I'll type this in, and we can see that these videos have far less views.
So what does that mean? That means if you were stuck between two different videos, you should go with the one that is actually going to get you the most views, which has been proven out on Instagram. Once you begin to implement this strategy, it will stop you from posting that stuff
that, quite frankly, nobody on Instagram cares about. Now the third change you need to make sure that you're making is you need to make sure that you're focused on the right type of engagement right now on Instagram. Because way too many of you are focused on how many followers you're getting, how many shares you're getting, how many likes you're getting, how many saves you're getting.
That's not actually the most important type of engagement that you need to be going after. In fact, there's a new type of engagement that's helping people grow way faster and it helped this creator go viral, this creator go viral, and this creator go viral.
What I'm talking about is getting people to comment on your videos. But more specifically, you want people to comment a specific keyword that is actually related to the topic of your video. And then this makes the Instagram algorithm go crazy, love your content, and want to make your post go viral.
And if you're one of those people that's thinking to yourself right now, Rob, but I just don't get any comments, this is going to be the breakthrough that you've been waiting for. Because there's a tool called ManyChat, and it makes getting comments on Instagram way easier.
In fact, the average creator that uses ManyChat sees a 5x increase in the amount of engagement that they get. Here's how it works. You get your viewers to comment a specific keyword on your videos and then ManyChat automatically DMs them a link a resource or whatever you teasing in that video What you want to make sure that you do is that keyword that you getting through a comment should be related to the keyword that actually in the hook of your video
Because the more comments you get, the more engagement that video is going to get, and the higher the odds that Instagram is going to make you go viral. On top of that, when you DM the person a link, it increases the odds that they'll become a lead, that they'll buy something from you,
or just that you now have a conversation with them that you got a bigger fan. On top of that, ManyChat allows you to request people to follow you before you send them the resource, and so many pages have been blowing up using this.
And the best part about ManyChat is that if you go to the pinned comment below, you can register for it today for free or get a 30-day free trial to ManyChat Pro, which will help you both increase the amount of money that you're currently making from Instagram, your odds of going viral, and how many followers you're getting.
Because remember, the average person that uses ManyChat sees a 5x increase in the amount of engagement that they're getting and makes more money from their Instagram account. So what are you waiting for? Go to that pink comment below and get started with ManyChat today for free.
Now change number four is you need to make sure that the metadata that you have on your page and in your actual content is going to be aligned. And there are multiple different things that we need to go through right here, so please don't skip this part. Because you can literally do everything right.
You could get the right type of engagement, upload the right type of content, make sure there's an audience for what you're going to be posting about. This is all messed up. You won't get views. Now, when it comes to your metadata actually adding up, there are a few things.
When it comes to your account metadata, you want to make sure that first and foremost that your username on Instagram has to do with your niche. Cortisol Coach. It works because she's talking about cortisol. If we come over to Dr. Gerland's, we can see that his says GLP-1 Coach.
If we come over to Dr. Derm right here, we can see Dr. Derm, dermatologist. Every single one of these individuals has their niche inside of their name on Instagram.
In addition to that, if we actually look at the descriptions here, we could see helping women heal, God, down 45 pounds. If we come over this crater, we see hormones, we see aging, we see peptides, we see GLP-1s.
If we come over to this crater, we see dermatologists, skin care, cancer expert, And them having all these different things inside of their name, inside of their description, is not random. Because if we come to their content, we see cortisol.
If we come to their content, we see cortisol. If we come to their content, we see stress. We see weight loss. All the things that are showing up inside of her name and inside of her description. If we come over to Dr. Jones, we see GLP-1, GLP-1, GLP-1, peptides.
the same exact things showing inside of his name, showing inside of his description. If we come over to dermatologists right here, we see the same thing. Cancer, dermatologists, skin, cancer, all these things keep repeating over and over,
and this is not by mistake. They are doing this on purpose because they understand that Instagram needs to be taking your account name, needs to be taking your description, needs to be taking your story highlights,
and being able to match them against the hook, the thumbnail, and the metadata that you have inside the actual content you're creating. Now, that last thing that you need to make sure you're doing is you need to make sure that your page is actually warmed up because there are two mistakes I see so many creators make One you on a brand new page wondering why you not going viral or two you might not have posted on Instagram in a really long time
You begin to post and you get discouraged really quickly because Instagram doesn't show your content. Now, warming up your page really comes down to one thing. How much trust do you have with the Instagram algorithm? How confident does the Instagram algorithm feel that if they push out your content
that you're going to be providing something actually valuable to the audience that they have. Because the number one thing that Instagram is trying to do is they are trying to keep people on Instagram. The way that they don't keep people on Instagram is by allowing people to spam Instagram
or allow people to just post random stuff that nobody cares about. And this is why warming up your page matters so much. And there are two different ways for you to be able to do this. If you have an old page and you're changing niches, here's what you want to do.
Days 1 through 4, you want to have no or very minimal posting. You want to spend 20 to 40 minutes daily scrolling in your new niche, liking posts, leaving real comments, following relevant accounts naturally. And this is going to tell the algorithm, hey, this is the topic that I'm now interested in.
You actually have access to your Instagram algorithm, which some people do by clicking on the top right-hand corner when they're on the real feed. You want to change all that to this new niche that you're interested in. In addition to that, you need to make sure that day five through seven, you start posting one high-quality piece of content every other day in the new niche.
You can still mix in one old style post if you want a smoother transition, but that's not necessary. If you just want to totally switch to the new niche, you are able to do that. And then for the next few weeks, you want to make sure that you ramp up to daily posting and heavier engagement, and now you're going to be ready to go full speed.
Now, if you have a brand new page and you don't have an older page or a pager you're trying to change niches on, this is a totally different strategy. For a brand new page, days 1 through 3, you want to mean go smooch. You want to set up your profile properly with a good bio, profile pics, highlights.
Don't post yet. Just scroll your niche feed, like, comment genuinely, and follow 5 to 15 relevant pages per day. Days 4 through 7, start to post one reel or one post per day, keeping engagement heavy still on those similar accounts.
And then after days 7 to 10, your page is going to be warmed up. You can now post consistently, but you should still continue to engage with other accounts underneath. What Instagram doesn't want is people that just post and ghost, a.k.a. people that post and then just get off of Instagram and don't provide anybody with any other value.
Now, I do have a few more tips for you if you're restarting or warming up a page. One, you want to always use natural human behavior with real comments and real emojis. Post at normal times.
Don't spam 10 posts in one hour. Focus on quality over quantity during the warm-up phase and be patient. For most people, it takes 7 to 21 days to warm up your account, so don't quit before it's actually warmed up.
because, again, what this is really about is you now rebuilding trust and just building trust in general with Instagram's algorithm. Now, if you enjoyed this video, I would strongly suggest you check out this video right here that walks you through how to get 10,000 followers as fast as humanly possible right now on Instagram.
In fact, I think you could do it in less than seven days if you watch this video right here. I'll see you over there.
