[00:09] test. Beautiful. All right, let's pause the music. Let's start. So, if I were to start my own Btubing agency, it does show up in vertical. Perfect. Um, [00:23] is kind of what I have planned out. This is what I would honestly consider. And the reason why I see a lot of small agencies just absolutely fail is truthfully because they don't really plan things. [00:38] because they don't really plan things. So, know, running joke that's been around for a long time. But if I would start to [00:51] for a long time. But if I would start to if I was to start Gizo, my own agency, if I was to start Gizo, my own agency, this is what I would do. Okay. So, I've I've seen people from this community start their own agency. I've seen people [01:05] in other communities start their own agency. Oh, I am coping. Okay. Whoops. Thank you. you. Um, [01:21] that's okay. I'll sit backwards a little bit more or I'll I'll adjust it later. start my start my own agency, all that fun jazz. fun jazz. Um, this is what I do. And and again, [01:35] people in other communities I've seen start their own agencies. and they kind of really approached it the wrong way in my personal opinion. Uh and that's why those agencies absolutely positively failed. And [01:52] first thing you got to do, first thing, right? Um, before you even start the court, before [02:04] you start, before you even start recruiting members, you have to have to have to do your research. Now, I know people have done their own research and really like, oh, this is what they do, but they don't do enough [02:20] what they do, but they don't do enough of the research. So, if it was me, what of the research. So, if it was me, what I would do truthfully, contact other agencies, [02:33] right? Start start knocking on doors. Call up Devon Nash. Call up uh other popular streamer agencies, smaller agencies, roughly the same size of what I want to be, not the size I am now. Right? Uh if you're trying to contact [02:47] other agencies that are the exact same size as you when you're first starting size as you when you're first starting out, you're just asking for uh failure, right? You got to contact the people that you want to be at, like the level [02:59] you want to be at. You got to start contacting them first, right? See what share with you. Now, a lot of agencies probably won't share anything, but you right? especially if they're your friends or or they talk about things uh [03:14] publicly, be like, "Hey, you know, I know you're underneath an NDA. What are agency? I'm looking to start my own and I would like just some some tips and tricks." Right? If you're absolutely honest with people, you'd be surprised [03:28] on what they're willing to share with you. So, honestly, contact some other agencies, see what they say, see what they're talent, see what they're willing to share with you. It's really not a bad [03:42] thing um to to to really do. Uh another thing I would highly suggest and again something I would do myself if it was me, start streaming [03:59] it was me, start streaming and see what it actually takes and see what it actually takes to be successful. And this is where a lot of people kind of screw up is they have money, [04:15] but they have no idea what it takes to be successful in the space. They have no be successful in the space. They have no idea what the space is about. They see, oh, VTubers are popular. How can I make money on it? [04:28] Well, no, you can't do that, right? Yes, VTubers are uh becoming successful. Yes, VTubers are uh becoming successful. Yes, they do make money. But how? Why? What are the things that they're doing? Why is there certain emojis going with these [04:41] or certain memes going with certain VTubers, right? What's the beef in the community? What's the positive sides? What's the negative sides? What software do you use? Uh get an understanding of what equipment you you may require, [04:57] right? that they may require and and see what is needed to be where and and see what is needed to be where you know they need to be. So [05:09] start streaming yourself, see what it actually takes. And you know, yeah, you might stream to only 5 10 concurrent viewers if you're lucky, but at least it gives you somewhat of an idea of, okay, they got to stream for x amount of hours [05:21] a day, x amount of days a week, so on and so forth. uh you know, maybe this isn't for me, right? Because whatever time you're put or whatever time your talent is putting in, you're going to be putting it double, triple, or quadruple [05:36] that time into your agency to make sure it's staying afloat. So, I know for a fact a lot of agencies owners are of like completely missing this this step right here. And I think [05:51] that's what's leading to some of their downfalls because they just don't have any idea what it takes or or know anything about it. So again, if it was me, start streaming. Uh you guys have seen that I have this YouTube channel. I [06:06] built it up from zero. We're at 22,500 uh uh uh subscribers. Uh back in my with work. you know, I was streaming concurrently to 40 50 viewers. Uh, as [06:20] work got super busy, I had to spend last two years not really streaming too much. So, you know, of course, I dropped things. Uh, you know, work is work. Work is important. So, you got to really focus on work, right? So, [06:36] at least I know and I have an idea of what it takes. Um, why are you streaming in the morning? These are my new hours, unfortunately. uh got a promotion at unfortunately. uh got a promotion at work so you know got to adapt. Uh so [06:51] doing right now is before we even hire talent before we even consider hiring talent before we even consider hiring talent right before [07:05] is considered right this is baby stages and again a about this first thing they think about oh is who can I recruit who can I get no [07:17] no no no you got do you got to do some research before then? So, uh what I would also do and I've done it right watch some videos [07:32] from Deon Nash, right? Harris Heler, [07:44] And you don't have to watch these three. You can watch others, right? But I highly highly highly suggest at the very least Devon Nash and Harris Heler. Um, but they are loaded with so much good information on their on their live [07:58] information on their on their live streams on their YouTube channels, videos and Deon Nash's older videos. They give you so much free content, so much free information that is not [08:10] much free information that is not paywalled that is extremely useful for paywalled that is extremely useful for one your your potential and future talents, right? Uh and these are great tips and tricks that you can pass on to [08:23] them, but it also gives you a lot of insight again of what it takes for your talents to be successful and what you might what what you may need to look out for for your talents to be successful. So watching some of these videos, even [08:38] like two of these videos would actually really help you out and and get you going. So I've watched almost every single Deon Nash video. I've seen almost every single Harris Heler video talking about [08:53] growing. Uh and I've seen almost every single Mr. Beast video about growing. Um, and I think a lot of people kind of like suffer from not doing their research about any of that. [09:07] Uh, so we talked about doing your research before you even get the talent, before they're even considered and all that fun stuff. about and what I would think about if I was starting an agency is the payout. [09:24] Uh, a lot of people, a lot of newer agencies I've seen pop up state that they're going to do the uh, 8020 split. I was about to put 7030, but that's YouTube's uh, 8020 split. 80 going to the talent 2020 going towards [09:39] going to the talent 2020 going towards the agency. Uh, when the agency first starts out, I actually think that an 8020 split is just absolutely bonkers. It will not be good for a starting agency, [09:55] right? A starting agency should be at a 50/50 A starting agency should be at a 50/50 split, right? 50% to the talent, 50% to split, right? 50% to the talent, 50% to you, right? And what you need to do, and [10:08] shouldn't be talking about this yet, but I I I know people want to hear these kind of things. Um, the reason why it's going to be a 50-50 split to start, okay, this is not going to be a forever thing. It's just a to start thing, [10:23] thing. It's just a to start thing, right? Um, talents may need money in the right? Um, talents may need money in the future. Uh, a agency, believe it or not, guys, is a business, right? So, you got to have some reserve funds. Reserve [10:38] funds. And those reserve funds that you have are there to get you through good times and especially the bad times, right? So, what if there's a talent that's sick for a month? Well, me as someone that's [10:53] a month? Well, me as someone that's owning an agency wants to make sure that my talent is taken care of. those reserve funds that I've done with that 50/50 split, I can now help support that talent through whatever sickness [11:07] that they have, family crisis they may have, or maybe their piece of equipment that they can't afford to replace at this current moment, I can give them the money to replace the equipment to go back out there and keep going again. [11:20] Right? So, when you start, and only when I mean start, I mean start, you're going to have the 50/50 split to build those reserve funds. And truthfully, you need three to six months of operating costs. [11:42] streaming sphere. So, you want to make sure you got whatever you need to cover yourself in the lows. Um, and honestly, uh, there's one thing that VTubers like to be in, and that's in trouble. Um, so if you need to uh [11:59] cover some legal fees, well, okay, there you go. You got your to do advertising, there you go. You got some reserve funds for that. Uh, if you need to rent an office all of a sudden [12:12] because you guys grew exponentially, you got your reserve funds to do that, right? So, you got to use those revenues for that thing. And then as time progresses, as you meet that three to six months of operating costs uh build [12:26] up, then you do the 8020 split, right? Again, this is where I see a lot of agencies fail. They don't have the funds that they require to operate through the hard times. You need to have those things. It's extremely important. Um I [12:43] to be successful, it would need to fill different niches other than current existing agencies. That too, yes. No, absolutely. Um, but for the basis things, they got to at least do these. Uh, another thing, Hello, Sarra, how you [12:57] doing? Uh, and hello Talent. How you doing? Um, another thing that you got to think about in agency wise, a lot of people, uh, that I've spoken to in the past are like, oh, well, you know, I just want to make money, so on so forth, [13:09] right? Well, an agency, yeah, okay, it's good there to to make money, but you got to remember that an agency should be there for the talent. So, if you are getting into this where you only want to do it for yourself, [13:25] this is not for you then, right? You're just going to get into a whole bunch of drama. you're just going to get yourself into a whole bunch of trouble and then you're going to be on like the next, you know, VTuber drama uh uh uh uh YouTube [13:39] channels covering how you screwed up and how you are just like a horrible person. You may not be a horrible person. You're probably not a horrible person, but if you're thinking about yourself first instead of the talent first, you're [13:51] you're pretty well screwed. Again, you know, the agency will it is a business and you got to cover business expenses, so on and so forth, but once you start actually get going and getting the talent, you got to have the right [14:04] talent, you got to have the right mindset for that. Um, so think about before you start. There's one more thing I want to cover that you [14:16] need to think about before you even start an agency. And again, if I were to start, this is what I would do. Uh, a lot of people think that agencies are lot of people think that agencies are there for brand deals, which they are, [14:28] there for brand deals, which they are, uh, for, uh, uh, you know, to to get a on so forth. But there's actually a lot more to an agency than most people think about, right? So before you start recruiting your first members, you [14:43] YouTube, Twitch, Kick, uh, and and etc., right? And what you uh, and and etc., right? And what you want to do is talk to these platforms. [14:57] Be like, "Hey, my name is XYZ with XY XYZ Agency, and I'm looking to start up a group, an agency. what kind of relationship can I build with you guys? [15:10] And the reason why you want to do this is because if your talent gets banned, the agency should be dealing with the ban appeals, right? Working behind the scenes be like, "Hey Twitch, look, I know XYZ [15:26] streamer did this stupid thing on stream. I am super sorry. We will speak to them. Is there any way we can get their ban uh reduced? That's what a good agency would do, right? [15:41] Uh so that's one thing that they'll do behind the scenes, right? Another thing that they'll do behind the scenes is reach out reach out to sponsors. Now, I've seen agencies do [15:55] the silly silly things where they'll they'll sign up for like a computer they'll sign up for like a computer chair affiliate program or a a humble bundle affiliate program. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. If your talent can [16:10] sign up for those things themselves, those are the things you not you should be signing your agency up for, right? be signing your agency up for, right? Reach out to them directly. Hey, so and [16:22] so, I'm building an agency. This is what I'm looking to do. This is what I'm wanting to start, you know, etc., etc., etc. What do I need to do in the future to be working with you? See what they say, right? See what their requirements [16:38] are to work with them. It's not a horrible idea, right? But see what the horrible idea, right? But see what the requirements are. [16:53] Uh. Whoops. Thing cut out. Thing cut out. We good? We good? Yes, we're good now. We good? We good? Yes, we're good now. This thing is like crapping out. [17:07] Ah, there we go. Okay. Uh, it's not a bad thing to see what the requirements are because it gives you something to build towards, right? It has to. You towards. and the small agencies that I've seen, even from people that built [17:20] them in our own community, um, they didn't check. They didn't look. If you not going to be successful. You got to, you got to really do that, right? So, [17:33] their requirements are. If you can't get sponsors right away for your talent, that's okay. There's other things you can do to help them out. Oh my god, I'm gonna murder this laptop because it keeps [17:47] taking over my phone and I'm going to like just absolutely murder it. Um, what do you think are the hardest things that agencies can do that individuals can't besides concerts? Great question, Star. And I don't know [18:02] why chat is again not popping up on screen. I am going to absolutely [18:21] go crazy. Why? Let me fix that real quick. Um Uh so yeah, Starley asked the question. What do you think other things that uh [18:35] hardest things agencies can do that individuals can't? Uh I kind of kind of covered it, right? If if a good agency establishes a relationship with that stuff, they can help deal with the [18:48] ban appeals, reach out to sponsors. Uh, another thing that they can do that another thing that they can do that others can't is is um build others can't is is um build relationships [19:10] but if you reach out to them saying, "Hey, you know, game studios. I'm I'm "Hey, you know, game studios. I'm I'm planning to have a small corporation of five talents, right? These are going to be their CCVs, right? Their concurrent [19:23] viewers. These are going to be the minimum uh subscribers they have on YouTube, followers on Twitch, right? Having that kind of like set goals of what you want to hire for talent kind of gives you some bargaining power [19:38] kind of gives you some bargaining power of okay, this gu is pretty serious. of okay, this gu is pretty serious. Let's look into it. Um, a lot of Let's look into it. Um, a lot of agencies can do a lot of things that [19:51] individual talents can't, right? Um, you know, let's talk about the sponsorship section for a section here, right? But for for a second here, they can work out pretty decent deals, deal with the contracts, right? [20:09] the scene negotiations uh that a lot of people don't have to deal with, right? There's there's YouTubers out there that don't want to read contracts, that can't afford a lawyer to read a contract. If you can't [20:24] afford a lawyer, you shouldn't be in an agency. Um because you need a lawyer agency. Uh we talked about that many times in the past. But uh the nice thing about an agency is they can deal with a [20:36] lot of this stuff for you. And it's it's more so so the streamer, the talent can focus on what they need to focus on, which is just streaming and getting the viewers in and so on so forth. Um again uh for the people that just joined this [20:52] own agency. The steps I would take before uh I even hire consider hiring any kind of talent or reaching out to talent. Right? So reaching out to these [21:05] different corps, reaching out to these uh different sponsors uh and and relationship with them before we even start is is a fantastic thing to do, right? Uh, and if you, you know, have some Vtubing friends that are 50 to [21:21] 100K, uh, subscribers on YouTube that say, "Hey, you know, we want to join your agency if you start one." Well, again, that's part of your bargaining out to these people, say, "Hey, look, I already have three or four people that [21:33] are lined up that are interested that are ready to start. This is their stats. What can we do when I start this agency?" And then go from there. agency?" And then go from there. So we've covered what we would do before [21:55] what we will do when we are about to look for talent. seen far too many small agencies I'm going to take a quick drink real quick [22:10] going to take a quick drink real quick here. I've seen way way way way too many here. I've seen way way way way too many agencies [22:22] grab only small talent. Talent between one and 10 concurrent viewers. Now, that is noble. That is awesome that they're wanting to do that, but that is a bad idea. [22:37] A lot of people that are in the 1 to 10 concurrent viewers concurrent viewers really don't know yet what it takes to be aundred concurrent viewers or a thousand concurrent viewer streamer. [22:51] Right? The difference between a 100 concurrent viewer streamer versus 100 versus a thousand is completely different mindset. The mindset different mindset. The mindset difference between this, this and this [23:04] is three different levels. three different uh different ways of thinking and you have to think differently at these three different levels. It is an absolute must. Right? At 10, you're thinking like a small streamer. There's [23:20] a lot of small or a lot of mistakes that small streamers make uh that really hinder their growth, really limit their growth and stunts their growth. Right? When you're here, well, you're not making as many mistakes [23:34] as you were as a small streamer. your mindset is now okay I built this nice large audience how do I retain them at this level for example you're like okay [23:46] how do I keep growing what's the maximum number I can get to right so recruiting down here isn't a good idea starting to recruit down here is a better idea [23:58] recruiting at this level is probably the best idea but if you are trying to recruit somebody at a thousand why do they really need you Then at that point, so you kind of want to target the people here in the uh middle. I was about to [24:11] say the bottom. Uh you want to target the people in the middle, right? And as an agency, what you should always be thinking about is what can I do [24:28] right? Especially if it's a if it's a VTuber or a streamer that is like super super super struggling getting past the 100 concurrent viewers or 200. What can you do to help them grow further? Give exposure, [24:45] right? Or advice, right? Maybe you're seeing that they're doing something that's just absolutely crazy because you did all the absolutely crazy because you did all the research prior [24:58] talking to other talents, talking to other agencies, you're going to be armed with some knowledge that, okay, this person I see they're stuck. This is some person I see they're stuck. This is some of the advice I can give them to grow. [25:14] that isn't focused on streams, but on VODs? Well, you can you can definitely do both. There isn't an agency out there that focuses on VODs, and that would be a fantastic take. I would love to see something like that, but the streaming [25:30] sphere is more popular for VTubers than it is for the VOD sphere. I would love to see somebody or an agency pop up that only focuses on on evergreen content. [25:42] That would be peak. I would Oh, that would be awesome. but it doesn't exist yet. But if you were to do something like that, these are the steps you would still take, right? [25:54] different and it definitely would stand out. Um but yeah, what can I do to help them grow in the future? Do they have a YouTube channel? Right. There is so many people at this size that don't have a YouTube channel, that don't do you uh [26:10] Tik Toks, that don't do uh shorts, that don't do Instagram reels, that don't do Facebook reels, right? Instagram, Facebook, YouTube shorts. Those really help build people up. Those really help [26:25] people get exposure. Those really help people hint hint nudge nudge a certain moderator get new viewers in. Right? So, it's super important to look at the talent and okay, what can I do to [26:39] help them grow and be more successful? And in turn, the more revenue that they make is more revenue that's coming into your agency that's helping build your reserve funds that's helping you to get to the 8020 [26:54] payout to get you away from the starting 50/50 payout. Right? This is the goal. This is where we're starting. this is what we need for 3 to six months of operating costs, right? We got to have that stuff. We got to have that [27:07] have that stuff. We got to have that buildup. So, look at your talent and help them. And and there's agencies out there that would start with, you know, helping the talent and then just abandon them later [27:19] talent and then just abandon them later on. Ask me how I know this, right? So, you can't just like hire some talent, set them up a little bit, and then move on to the next person. No, no, no. you you have to stay continuing to help that [27:32] talent no matter what because we get tunnel vision when we're streaming and you need that outside source intent nudge nudge to push you to do a little bit more um so you're not so tunnel visioned and so that you're actually [27:48] like again continuing to grow. You have to continue to grow in this space. You you've been doing forever because it works, right? Um, so yeah. So when [28:01] you're looking for talent, you want at least 100 CCV. What I would also do is least 100 CCV. What I would also do is look to see uh look at their YouTube channel, right? They should have other forms of content on other platforms. [28:15] There will be a time where Twitch will go away. It It's just a matter of time. Twitch is in hot water every other day by what it looks like for every other by what it looks like for every other reason. So what are they doing to stay [28:31] reason. So what are they doing to stay relevant when Twitch is gone? relevant when Twitch is gone? Right? Again, any platform could be Right? Again, any platform could be you know Thanos away with um you know [28:44] you know Thanos away with um you know somebody signing an order or or uh or or maybe Amazon comes in and just says you guys are losing too much money, right? A lot of companies are just out for profits. if this company is [28:57] this goes for Kick, this goes for YouTube, this goes for everybody. They YouTube can shut down YouTube Live at any second. YouTube Live doesn't make them a lot of money. So, we got to make sure that they're [29:12] spreading the wealth of their of their content in other platforms. Look at their YouTube, right? Facebook. Every single streamer I watch has a Facebook. They're posting their reels. are posting their VODs all on Facebook, right? Are [29:26] at their Instagram. Uh, I'm not too worried about X, aka Twitter, right? Um, stuff there anyway related to this stuff. They're they're more like posting [29:39] their feelings and so on so forth. I think you should have an X, not to engage with like randos on on it, but like to keep your community informed. uh and you know, take a look at their Discord. I believe every single [29:54] person, no matter what size you are, should have a Discord. It's a great way for your community uh to stay engaged with your content while you're offline, right? To stay engaged with each other while you're offline. What about two to [30:07] 100? Um so two to 100 I wouldn't even bother with, right? Maybe over 75. Um but the target I would say minimum is Um but the target I would say minimum is 100. [30:24] Facebook page? That's a difficult situation. Uh, I wouldn't do Facebook typically want to see a human face. Facebook page. Uh, it could be anything. [30:36] Facebook page. Uh, it could be anything. I have a Facebook page, right? Um, Yeah. Minimum 100. Uh but yeah, look look look to see what [30:48] their stuff is and if you see, okay, hey, my talent doesn't have a YouTube, Twitter, they don't have a Discord, help to run my own agency, I would make sure my talent has all of those and I would [31:02] make sure maybe I would even do it myself. Post the stuff for them, right? Get that get those clips up there. Get all those things up. get that exposure because there are so many people that don't watch Twitch. They don't have time [31:18] to watch your live streams, but they'll watch your segment on YouTube. I do it streamers that I don't watch their live streams. Like Dan D. I don't watch her [31:30] her Twitch live streams. I watch her highlights on YouTube. I've seen her Facebook when I'm scrolling middle of the night. I've seen clips of her on Facebook, right? I've seen clips of her on Instagram. These two, you can post on [31:45] them at the exact same time. If you go through uh the business studio on Facebook, it's literally one button and post on both, which is great, but you have to have these different places because that's how new people are going [31:59] to find you. and they may not watch you all the time on Twitch, but it helps boost your numbers and makes you look way bigger, which is fantastic, right? When you see a bigger number on a on a streamer, you tend to [32:13] number on a on a streamer, you tend to watch them more. It's a sad reality, right? So, yeah, when I'm looking for talent, these are some of the things I'm talent, these are some of the things I'm looking for. Another thing I will do is [32:26] looking for. Another thing I will do is how they talk to others. So, I will scroll on their ex Twitter and I will scroll through their Discord. How do they talk to others? How do they engage with others? Are they always the victim? [32:41] Are they always putting people down in their Discord? How do they engage with them? Is their public-f facing uh personality [32:54] Is their public-f facing uh personality align with what you want in your agency? align with what you want in your agency? Now you I've seen bigger corpse, bigger Now you I've seen bigger corpse, bigger agencies just grab everybody, [33:06] anybody, right? We've seen it with Niji Sanji, uh, where they just if you got a heartbeat, you're in. Okay, but does that person fit the core values of your company? [33:21] Think about it, right? That's important. You need to see that if I get this person, will we align? And if you don't align, don't hire. If I [33:33] were to start my agency, I would make sure that they align with me on most things. It doesn't have to be 100%. 80%, 60%. Right? You're It's good to have differences. It's good to have different [33:47] differences. You need to have points of views. But do you align on most things? they talk to others is really important. If you see that they're on Twitter all [34:00] If you see that they're on Twitter all the time blasting people because they chose um dubbed instead of subbed. Okay. Do you really want that person? Because they're grabbing they're picking [34:14] on small things and making them into big things, right? Are they calling people that watch dub Nazis? I wouldn't want that, right? Do a little bit of research of your talent. [34:28] bit of research of your talent. See what they're doing. of them? What if I'm on all platforms? Yeah. No, [34:40] with a story, if you're doing that, that's great. Um, if you're beyond that and you're still kind, you're good. You're good. I, you know, if you have would, I would get you. I' I'd reach out to you, right? [34:57] Um, so yeah, see how they talk to others. Extremely important. And truthfully, this is what I would look for in my talent. The final and absolute final thing I would do is my application, [35:11] right? You guys have seen me do uh application reviews on stream in the past. I believe I did those on stream, right? I definitely reviewed like oh my god almost a thousand applications when when everybody wanted [35:25] to be in Niji Sanji on Hol live. Um but have an application a form, right? Don't do a handshake deal over Discord. Have them fill out a Google form. How do they respond? Did they use uh uh a um [35:44] Did they use uh uh a um uh an AI? they put in their own thought? Did they answer the questions? There are so many [35:56] reviews I've did I've done, sorry, I've did I've done of people's uh of uh audition forms that were just absolutely horrendous. It was oneliners, right? So you can see [36:12] the serious seriousness of someone through their audition form, right? app/ through their audition form, right? app/ audition. [36:24] will, you know, sometimes on some of these questions write you a novel. Uh, but you not with just random words. They'll they'll they'll articulate it, right? They'll put some thought into their answers. So, see how they respond. [36:38] their answers. So, see how they respond. If their answers align to you, perfect. I will definitely hire someone with spelling errors. That's what aligns with spelling errors. That's what aligns with me. I am the king of spelling errors. [36:51] If you guys know me, you know that's true, right? But, uh, you know, if if somebody has a hard time spelling, maybe they're, you know, they got dyslexia, uh, or or they were hit by a train, um, like I was. So, there's there's there's [37:07] reasons behind that. Um, but again, does their answers their answers mostly sound coherent? Are they good? Do they put effort into their answers? Do they try? [37:20] So that's important. Uh so for talent wise, this is what I Uh so for talent wise, this is what I would look for. And could I consider somebody under 100 CCV? Absolutely. Uh you also need to actually there's one [37:36] too, which is actually extremely important that I didn't cover yet. I should actually add that. So I just thought about it. Um, would I would I hire somebody less than 100 CCV? Yeah, possibly. But I would have to see. And [37:50] because I almost forgot and it's actually probably the most crucial actually probably the most crucial thing. Uh, look at their stream history. [38:05] does not stream like VTuber Senpai for the past two years? What does Senpai mean by that? I'm glad you asked, little Timmy. Again, senpai's been busy with IRL work. I've been getting promotions, new work [38:18] I've been getting promotions, new work hours, so on so forth. So, if you look hours, so on so forth. So, if you look at my stream history, it is all over the place. January, February, March, I did pretty decent. Uh May, June, July, [38:33] most of August, I was gone. If you look last year, I was mostly gone. Right? You want somebody that is absolutely consistent, that streams the hours that [38:45] they say that they're going to stream. Now, having IRL get in the way happens to everybody. IRL is important. You got to deal with IRL always first, right? That is your bread winner. That's what's going to pay your bills. Uh unless [39:01] you, then you don't really need an agency. Um, but you know, you you need people in your agency that are reliable that are always going to be there. You got to think of of your talents of uh and and their [39:16] streams like a TV show, right? When you turn on the TV, you know, or Netflix nowadays or Amazon Prime that every Friday my show at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time is going to be on and I can watch it. [39:31] That's kind of what a stream needs to be, too. at 5:00 PM every Friday, Senpai's gonna be live. Well, 9:00 am every Friday now. Senpai is going to be every Friday now. Senpai is going to be live, right? Again, that is super super [39:43] important. You have to have to have to have to have a consistent stream schedule. I'm not saying and and I'm not going to look for the people that are that's just going to lead them to burnout. Uh but I would love to see [39:58] people that stream three times a week, right? Especially at the 100cc. uh level three times a week is plenty enough. Uh five times a week, yeah, it can be better. Um but you know, are they getting burnt out? Are they getting [40:13] time? That's important because if you're going to have somebody at your agency, you got to make sure that they're the dependable, right? Absolutely dependable. Uh you should also only hire 18 plus. Oh, yeah. Oh [40:26] also only hire 18 plus. Oh, yeah. Oh yeah, that should that should be obvious without being said, but no. Uh, a guy shares a story actually just nails that on the head. Yeah, minimum 18 years old. I know Niji Sanji, Hollow Live, all that [40:40] stuff. Uh, you know, in when they first started recruiting people, they had minimum 16, then they raised it to minimum 18. You need to have minimum 18 minimum 18. You need to have minimum 18 years old. Absolutely. [40:57] done covering this segment. I'll be more than happy to answer that. Um, so yeah, look at their streaming history. See if they're consistent. If I were to hire you, hire talent for my agency, Gizo, absolutely. I would [41:11] totally look to see what your stream history is. That is incredibly important. And a lot of people glaze over that, don't look at it, and that is over that, don't look at it, and that is why you have problems with your talents. [41:25] Okay? Um, if they only stream an hour a week, two hours a week, you know, those are things you got to also take into consideration. Does that align with your agency? I don't want a talent streaming [41:38] eight hours a week if it's going to burn them out, if they're too busy. Right? Again, life IRL comes first. So, are they streaming hours that fits into they streaming hours that fits into their personal life? For example, I've [41:51] seen talents, I've seen streamers, VTubers especially, that have kids, right? And chat, you know what? I'm going to pull back the curtain a little bit. Believe it or not, Senpai has a kid and [42:08] I adjust my hours, my streaming hours. She's she's older now. She's 15. Um, but and it's okay. I'm I'm I'm I'm open to sharing some stuff like this. It's good [42:20] to pull back the curtain a little bit. Um, because there is a lot of older people that want to get into Vubing, but I adjust my streaming hours to make sure I can spend time with my kid. That's extremely important, right? There were [42:32] some Fridays that I absolutely missed that I was I prioritized to spend time with her. It's important that you do kind of It's important that you do kind of stuff. family IRL comes first. [42:45] Full stop. And I would make sure that my talent has the time that they require to spend time doing what they need to do in IRL and with their family. That is extremely important. And a lot of agencies don't [42:59] even consider that. All they want is stream, stream, stream, stream, make money, make money, make money. But if you got a talent that has a crappy personal life, that means when they're live, they're not focusing on their job. [43:11] streaming is a job when you're an agency. 100% it's a job. So you got to agency. 100% it's a job. So you got to have them focus on their job properly. because they're not getting enough time with them, they're not doing their job [43:27] right. You got to treat it like an IRL job because it is. Okay. So, we looked at this all this stuff. We talked about all the things that you should do before you even consider hiring any kind of talent. [43:43] even consider hiring any kind of talent. Um, Uh, some things you got to think about. Don't overpromise. [44:02] you can't do it, say I would personally avoid saying, "Hey, no, I can't." I would say something like, "Let me look into it. like, "Let me look into it. Maybe we can do it in the future." [44:17] Right? I don't like saying hard nos if if it's avoidable. Um, sometimes you got to give a hard no, but if you say, "Hey, let me look into it." Like if they say, "Hey, senpai, I would love to uh um stream Mario 64 and [44:35] I know or Super Mario 64 and I know Nintendo is blocking us. Can I stream it? Let me look into it. Let me contact Nintendo. Let me see what I can do." Chances are they're going to tell me no. But I'm going to try to get it to work [44:50] for you. Let me just leave it with me. I'll get back to you. Okay? Or whatever. Hey, can I collab with Mor Calope? Right, she wants to collab with me. Can I collab with her? Let me look into it. Let me contact her agent. Let me see [45:04] what I can do, what kind of deal we can work out. That's beneficial for you. Right. Don't promise you have connections to larger agencies, CEOs. Absolutely. Right. If if you want to collaborate with people from Niji [45:17] Sunundry, right, don't tell Yeah. No, I can totally get that for you. Oh, and and what Starly brought up is absolutely true. I've seen that. I've seen I've seen people do that. You can't do that. Don't overpromise, [45:30] right? Let me look into it. Fantastic answer right there. That's all you got to ask. Is the chat not pulling up? Oh, okay. It is. Um, hey John, how you doing? Um, yeah, don't lie. Don't lie to your talents. Be honest with them. Be [45:44] open. Be upfront. If you are in a financial hard time, tell them, "Hey, look, we're in a financial hard time. we weren't able to get out of the 50/50 uh weren't able to get out of the 50/50 uh zone into the 8020 zone yet. XYZ, this [45:56] is why. Show them why. Be transparent. There are too many times where agencies talent. If you are honest and transparent with your with your talent, they are extremely understanding and they'll be like, "Hey, what can I do to [46:09] help you?" And honestly, it's a bit of a two-way street. Think of it again as an IRL job because it is an IRL job. What? and and and I I'm in charge of 30 workers at my uh IRL job. I think what can I do for them to make sure a they [46:25] get home safe, b they're happy when they're at work, uh and and c that, you know, that they have, you know, well, happy, good morale home happy, that they want to come back [46:40] the next day, right? Those are the three things I try to do. Same thing, right? how can I keep senpai happy?" They don't call me Senpai at work, thank God. But I'm not going to use my IRL name. But what can I do to keep Senpai happy? [46:53] Right? Is there anything I can do to help them to to be more proficient to get the job done faster and correctly? Right? wouldn't be too transparent with talents. Just enough to be transparent [47:08] to explain situations. I think well, it depends, right? It depends on your relationship with them. But again, if it was me, I would be 100% transparent. There's no reason why they shouldn't know the ins and outs of the deal with, [47:22] you know, a sponsor. There's no reason why. They should know much the agency is going to make off this sponsorship. This is how much sponsorship. This is what we negotiated. Right? There's things that you can [47:36] absolutely share. Now, a lot of times in Western society, Asian society, European society, people are like, "Oh, no. That's taboo. That's taboo." Be open. Be honest. There's no reason that they can't know, right? If you show [47:50] that they can't know, right? If you show them that, hey, you know, I did the best deal. These were the terms, these were the conditions I were able to get. Well, want your talents to eventually move on from your agency, um they're armed with [48:07] screwed over. They when they leave, they talk highly about you, format of advertisement is when you have talent that are leaving [48:19] uh happy, right? Everybody leaves their jobs, their IRL jobs. I'm going to do it one day. You guys have done it. I've done it, right? And when I leave an IRL job for more money, better working hours, so on so forth, [48:35] and I had a good experience, I talk highly about that company. If I if I had treating me horribly, I will it would be a negative taste in my mouth, I would never want to send anybody that way. Right? So, how you treat your workers is [48:50] absolutely important. Again, an agency is going to be like an IRL job. It is basically an IRL job where you got bosses, managers, so on so forth. You got to treat everybody with respect. Uh yeah, make sure everyone's on the [49:05] same page. Absolutely. And yeah, a lot a lot of startup agencies hide a lot of lot of startup agencies hide a lot of things. [49:17] 9:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time till 11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. I guess I should have made a post about that. Um, but yeah, don't overpromise. [49:32] I'll get into it after I'm done this segment. But yeah, um these are my final thoughts. Don't overpromise. Uh do I have any more final thoughts? Because I have any more final thoughts? Because I did write them down surprisingly. [49:51] that's my TED talk. This is going to be a segment for my YouTube channel. So guys are going to be in a video now. Congratulations. Uh, but yeah, this is what I would do if I was to start Gizo, my own Vtubing agency. What I would do [50:06] before, what you guys should do before if you want to start your own, what I would do looking for talent. And yeah, my final thoughts. Beautiful. That's it. Now we can talk about whatever you guys want. [50:19] whatever you guys want. Main screen.
