[0:01] Yeah. Well, let's move on and talk about [0:03] uh Rhythm Heaven Groove, which was also [0:05] in the direct, but I got to play Rhythm [0:06] Heaven at the same event I played Star [0:08] Fox a few weeks ago. I played Rhythm [0:09] Heaven for about 45 minutes. And man, [0:12] this game's so good. It is going to be [0:13] really, really awesome when it comes [0:15] out. I love Rhythm Heaven. Mega Mix on [0:17] 3DS is one of my favorite games on that [0:19] system. And one of my favorite parts [0:21] about that game is the multiplayer, [0:23] which you could do through download [0:25] play. If you had two 3DS's, you only had [0:27] to have one copy of the game and you [0:28] could play it together. and my wife and [0:30] I played that all the time together when [0:31] we were dating in college. It's super [0:33] fun. But now it's couch co-op. There's [0:35] like 80 multiplayer, maybe not 80, but [0:37] there's a bunch of multiplayer co-op and [0:39] competitive mini games that you can just [0:41] play with everyone have a Joy-Con on the [0:43] couch cuz it's like a one button game. [0:45] So, it really doesn't matter what [0:46] controller you're using. And it's just [0:48] that like wacky Nintendo Waroware [0:50] infused just absurdity that you never [0:53] know what's going to happen next. And [0:55] like the one of the competitive games [0:56] was you're seeing who can grab the cake [0:59] off the table closest to the alarm going [1:01] off. So the alarm will start counting [1:03] down from like 15 seconds and then [1:05] eventually it will disappear. So then [1:07] you're just counting in your head like [1:08] here it is like 5 4 3 2 1 and then you [1:11] all grab the cake and whoever is the [1:13] closest on either side over or under [1:15] gets the cake and then their their [1:17] little Elvis hairdo grows to be longer [1:19] like after they grab the cake. It's like [1:21] why is that happening? But it's just so [1:23] great that it does and everyone else [1:24] falls out of their chair onto the [1:25] ground. Just really really entertaining. [1:28] Or there's one where you're these four [1:30] ninjas protecting the emperor from these [1:33] these villains who are shooting arrows [1:34] at you and then you have to like slice [1:36] through their arrows with your katana on [1:38] the exact beat. That's great. There's [1:40] one where you're like a turnip with an [1:43] umbrella and you're like dancing in the [1:45] rain, but you don't want to get rained [1:46] on, so you have to open your umbrella at [1:48] the exact right moments, which is it's [1:50] just it's rhythm heaven. Like it's [1:51] exactly what you want out of the first [1:53] Rhythm Heaven in 10 years. And one of [1:56] the coolest parts is I got to play like [1:58] a full world of levels, which is like [2:00] five five games. And it's like the [2:02] turnup one. It's the one we saw in the [2:04] initial reveal trailer where it's just [2:05] all these little circle guys jumping [2:07] through hoops. There's a dog catching a [2:09] Frisbee. And there's a dinosaur who's [2:11] like eating flowers. And all four of [2:13] these games play to their own beat. Like [2:15] you're doing it on like two and four in [2:17] a lot of them. You're doing them on like [2:18] offbeats on another. And then there's [2:20] this remix which mixes all of them [2:22] together and it plays this like J-pop [2:25] song and it's just constantly like [2:26] flipping between all five games and you [2:28] have to like remember the individual [2:30] rhythm for each one and it's just super [2:32] satisfying. The music is I think the [2:35] best rhythm heaven's ever seen. It's [2:37] just awesome. Like this game's out in on [2:39] July 2nd in just a few weeks and it's on [2:40] Switch One. It's the last Switch One [2:42] game we know about. I think it's just [2:43] going to be really really fantastic. [2:46] >> Hell yeah. I'm so excited. it. Yeah, it [2:48] looks so stupid and amazing. Stupid in a [2:51] good way. [2:52] >> Oh, yeah. In a very good way. [2:54] >> I I think like looking at some of these [2:56] mini games uh again because I this this [2:58] sort of just like this is one of those [3:00] things where when I saw the trailer for [3:01] this I was like, "Oh, awesome. Yeah, I'm [3:02] in. I'm in day one." Um but I didn't [3:04] really stop to actually look at what is [3:07] happening specifically. And it is [3:09] amazing. That that cake that cake thing [3:11] is going to be a huge hit in my [3:13] household. I cannot wait for this. This [3:15] looks This is like I mean I'm I'm a [3:17] massive uh Warriorware fan. So and [3:19] anything that sort of scratches that [3:21] itch is always is always going to have a [3:23] place in my heart. [3:24] >> Yeah, it's it's exactly that. It's [3:26] Rhythm Warrior. If you haven't played [3:27] it, I think it's 40 bucks. This is not a [3:30] full price Nintendo title. So [3:32] >> yeah, you you got to dip into this one. [3:34] It's going to be one of my favorite [3:35] games of this year, I think. [3:37] >> Um it also it has like the same text to [3:40] speech sort of voice as Tomodachi Life. [3:43] They're just really into that weird [3:45] uncanny vibe right now. Like the [3:46] narrator of all the story and stuff is [3:48] has that same robotic rhythm as as the [3:50] Miis do in Tomodachi, which I thought [3:52] was interesting. But [3:54] >> sweet. Yeah, it's it's going to be [3:56] great. And there's so many games I've [3:57] not seen yet. I also saw the RPG mode, [3:59] which is called Beat Spell. They showed [4:00] this off a little in the direct. Uh it's [4:02] it's I think not really a full RPG like [4:06] it's maybe being built as. It's just [4:07] another mini game that plays out like [4:09] turn-based RPG battles where you're [4:11] learning spells and it's like XXY is [4:14] like your fire and then XY is to heal [4:17] and then you're hitting these to the [4:18] beat as you're fighting these very basic [4:21] like RPG slime dragon quest level [4:23] enemies. It's cool. It's just another [4:25] miniame. Um but it kind of seems to me [4:27] the progression is going to be you play [4:29] all the normal games to rank up and [4:31] unlock stars to eventually earn your way [4:34] to the next RPG level. And I think [4:35] that's going to be like beating the game [4:37] is when you reach the end of the RPG. [4:39] But who really cares about that? It's [4:40] all about the stupid mini games and and [4:42] playing with your friends and family. [4:44] >> Yep. So that's Rhythm Hem Groove out in [4:46] just a few weeks. We're going to talk [4:47] about Star Fox, which is out next week. [4:49] But first, thanks for watching this clip [4:51] from Nintendo Voice Chat.
