[00:01] partner and themselves and they're not quite sure if it's AI generated. This is a post in the subreddit r/isthisai and it reads, "Paid an artist I found on Instagram for this gift. Friend says it looks like AI. Artist also unable to [00:15] change skin tone when requested." So, for extra context it reads, "My coming up and I commissioned this drawing from an artist I found on Instagram. I sent photos of us. My boyfriend is very indigenous Mexican [00:27] looking and the artist sent me a draft and my boyfriend has very fair and white image. I asked if they would be able to but they told me they couldn't adjust the color because they already completed [00:41] and found the original color choice strange considering the photos of him I it and showed them the drawings and they said it looks like it's AI and that's probably why they can't adjust. So, let us take a look. This is the very first [00:55] image that the client had received where you can see the character on the right. They are quite fair. And then as you can see here, this is the adjusted version. This already is very suspicious because okay, if you're an artist that drew [01:09] something for a commission etc. it's it's super likely you worked in multiple adjustment as in the skin tone is kind of wrong, the hair color is a little bit off, whatever, that you can just go to the skin tone layer and then paint [01:22] darken the skin tone a little bit and of the color complements the new skin tone and then poof, you're done. But when an artist is unable to change the skin tone color or anything else that [01:35] modification of one of the layers, it's always really suspicious. I feel like note when you take a look at these skin tone correction is the fact that like everything is darker. The hair was darker, the eyes were darker, the whites [01:49] of the eyes were also made darker. It's kind of as if they, I don't know, made like a multiply layer on top of literally every aspect of this character feel like a little bit odd, but maybe that was requested. Maybe they also [02:02] wanted the eyes darker. And this was the very first sketch that was sent over. So, what do you think? Is it AI? Is it not AI-generated? But most definitely a big red flag is the inability to make any alterations whatsoever to the work.
