Twitch has been the go-to for years, but revenue and faster growth. In this video, I'm comparing Twitch versus Kick, bigger chance of success this year. A quick bit about myself. I go by Merkel and I had rapid success in the start of my streaming career, which I know wasn't down to luck. I followed a set of rules and techniques which I know propelled my growth and grew my channel to over 1,000 followers in the first 5 months. First of all, let's talk money. Because if you're going live regularly and you want for this to one day take over your 9 to5, then income really matters. On Twitch, most people get 50/50 split. That means for every £5 or dollars you earn, you only keep 250. Some Twitch partners get 7030, but even that's rare. And Twitch is starting to roll that back. Okay, now here's the game changer. On kick, it's a 95 to5 split. That means you keep 475 for every five that's earned. If you're building a loyal of viewers to make a lot of money. You only need a loyal community that is going live if no one can see you? Twitch is saturated. Small creators get buried. Twitch's browser system favors top streams. So, unless you're bringing viewers from YouTube or Tik Tok, your stream is just well lost. Kick, however, is different. It's newer, it's growing fast, and most categories have less competition. I've seen new streamers on kick gain traction within weeks, not months or years. It's that early Tik Tok style growth window, the type you only get once. If your goal in 2025 is to get discovered, then this platform may be for you. In terms of tools, Twitch is more polished. It's had years to refine things like channel points, raid systems, and third party integrations. But Kick is catching up faster than people realize. The stream quality is great, the latency is low, and it works beautifully with OBS. And the best part is it's starting to integrate tools that streamers are asking for, not just what suits the advertisers. Kick feels like the early days of Twitch. It's raw, edgy, and open. It's for creators who want to speak more freely, build tight-knitted communities, and not have to worry about certain missteps. Not everyone will love that vibe, but for creators who want more freedom and less Twitch, one wrong step and your account can get flagged, suspended, or people without clear reasoning. And here's the big thing. If you're relying you could get banned for something that you're not sure what you've done? Kick The platform's a bit more forgiving and you're less likely to get booted for something small. That being said, Kick is still evolving and moderation is still growing. But if freedom and flexibility matter to your content, then Kick gives you that room to breathe. So, let's answer the big question. Should you stream on Twitch or Kick in 2025? If you want a stable platform with more tools and already have a small audience, then Twitch is great. But if your goal is faster growth, bigger payouts, and fewer rules, then Kick is the way to go. maximum exposure when starting out, and that would be to multiream.
