[00:01] you feel like you're getting absolutely nowhere, YouTube could have restricted your account without you even knowing. Now, there are six major warning signs that appear when YouTube starts limiting your reach and restricting your videos. [00:14] Now, these signs are buried deep inside your analytics, which is why most [music] in today's video, I'm going to show you what these six signs are and where to find them. Now, if you do [00:26] to show you, it could mean your channel has some issues. So, let's get into it. All right. So, the very first one is that your suggested traffic is really low on each video. Now, to find this, if you go into one of your videos, click on [00:40] reach, then scroll down to where it says how viewers find this video, you will viewing your content. And this is basically where suggested videos actually appear for the viewer. They are the ones that pop up next or on the side [00:53] >> [music] >> Now, suggested, by its very nature, is one of the best indicators that YouTube is pushing or not pushing your content. Now, if you have a high suggestion rate, it means YouTube is literally doing its [01:07] best to suggest your content to more people. Now, however, a low suggestion rate is probably one of the most obvious signs that your channel is being doesn't want your videos popping up for someone to watch next. So, to explain [01:21] what I mean, I'm going to show you two examples on my own channel. Now, this video here did all right for my channel, and you can see that the second biggest way people found this video was suggested at about 19% of my overall [01:33] views, which is quite good. But then, this video here was by far the worst performing video I've had on my channel so far, and as you can see, suggested videos is that low, I literally have to go down and to find it. So, this goes to [01:45] show that when a video does well, suggested typically is high. But when a video bombs and does terribly, suggested is really, really low. So, really, guys, you want your suggested to be at least like 10% per video. Now, yes, this [02:00] number here, browse features, is one of the best for discovery overall. Now, mine is always high because I have a really high subscriber rate, but for be as high, and you're going to have to [02:12] rely on suggested more. So, a suggested rate of around 10% per video is grand. your impressions. Now, to find this impressions funnel you've got on screen videos, click on reach, and then scroll down here. Now, what you're going to [02:26] need to do is I want you to look at the overall impressions of your last five to 10 videos. And what you're looking for is steady growth of this overall number. Because to grow your channel, you need this number to grow steadily over each [02:40] upload you post. But if you find like your last five to 10 videos haven't actually seen your overall impressions growing by much at all, it means your content could be restricted. Now, what actually are impressions and why are [02:53] they so important? Well, an impression is counted every single time one of your videos is shown to a viewer on the platform. Essentially, impressions represent how many opportunities viewers had to click on your content and watch [03:07] it. Now, it basically measures your video's potential reach across areas like the YouTube homepage, search results, and up next recommendations. So, if you find that your impressions is really low or not growing at all over [03:20] your last like 10 uploads, it means that the algorithm isn't showing your videos in the places it should be. Now, it's also important to remember that not being restricted. Sometimes, your channel could be absolutely fine, but [03:34] your videos just aren't keeping people engaged enough. Now, one of the easiest ways to improve your overall videos is with better sound. The right background music or sound effects can completely change how engaging a video feels. [03:46] >> The right track can make something feel more exciting, more dramatic, emotional, or just way more professional. That's why whenever I include music in my videos, I always use Epidemic Sound. You can sign up and start using it literally [04:00] soundtracking platforms out there for creators. And then another one called Adapt, which can basically automatically cut and adjust a track >> to fit the exact length of your video, which is really useful when you find the [04:55] right length for your actual video. Adapt will basically cut it for you. And now they've also introduced Studio, which makes the process even faster. You can now basically upload your video, and Studio creates a synced soundtrack draft [05:09] almost instantly, matching music and sounds to the moments of your video. Try out, I promise you you won't regret it. Now, the next one is if you see any restrictions on your videos in YouTube Studio. Now, this is actually a really easy one to check. So, open up a new tab in your browser if [05:50] you're on a laptop or go on to YouTube studio on your phone, click on content, and then select videos or shorts if you mainly post shorts, and this section here where it says restrictions. I need you to scroll down and look at all of [06:02] your videos and make sure they all say none. Now, if it says none, it means there are no direct red flags, which is great. Now, the most common ones you need to look out for are copyright claims, age restrictions, made for kids [06:15] labels, limited ads, video blocked in certain countries, or any terms of use issues. If you see any of those, it means that specific video has a definitive red flag, and it will not be getting the same reach, features, or [06:30] monetization as the other normal ones. It's a really quick and easy check, you got no restrictions on any of your videos. Now, this next sign is actually quite a common one, and it's actually probably the most frustrating one out of [06:43] them all. And this is when your reach is low, even though you have a good click-through rate and a good video retention. Now, I've actually had a fair few students enroll onto my academy where they were getting super annoyed [06:55] because their videos would get like a 10 or 11% click-through rate, which is really high, but their videos were only getting like 50 views. Now, if I posted a video with an 11% click-through rate, that would probably be my highest viewed [07:09] video because on average, my click-through rate is around 7 to 8%. you're getting a high click-through rate and your average view duration is also pretty good, but you're barely getting any views and barely getting any reach, [07:22] well, unfortunately, this could mean your content is being restricted. Because what this shows me is that your title and your thumbnails are actually pretty good. Like, the few people that did see them decided to click on them, [07:35] but for some reason, YouTube is restricting your content, so barely anyone is getting the chance to see them. So, those good title thumbnails essentially going to waste, and it sucks. Now, if you think that this is [07:48] comment section below. All right then, so the last one is for all of you guys while. When you first started out, you saw some growth in your videos, but then your last like 10 videos feel like they've completely dried up, and your [08:03] views are now nowhere near what they were before. And in reality, you probably feel like your new videos are still as good, if not better than your you haven't done anything different. But for some reason, you got so many views [08:16] previously, but now you're not really. Now, look, in this case, [music] it you've got some restriction on your channel. And the sad reality is this happens to a lot of channels. Now, I've had a ton of students join my course who [08:29] position as you guys. Now, I know it feels tough, but I promise you there is hope, and there is a way out. Now, if you want any expert advice on YouTube you're not ready for that yet, which is fine, instead, let me show you how to [08:44] rate by improving your thumbnails in this video that's popping up right now. make. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. See you there.
