## Summary

This video counts down the top 10 add-ons for raiding in Classic WoW, covering essential tools for threat management, boss mechanics, and UI improvements. The host shares personal recommendations and tips for optimizing raid performance.

### Key Points

- **Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) Recommendation** [0:25] — The host recommends not using DBM until after completing dungeons and raids at least once, as it makes raids too easy, especially in Phase 1.
- **Classic Threat Meter** [1:09] — A simple threat add-on that displays threat percentage; crucial for DPS to avoid pulling aggro from the tank.
- **WeakAuras** [2:21] — An extensive add-on that shows animations and notifications for procs, boss phases, and mechanics, making raiding easier.
- **TellMeWhen** [3:17] — Displays buffs, debuffs, and timers; useful for tracking personal buffs like Slice and Dice.
- **Decursive** [3:55] — Essential for healers to quickly remove debuffs (curses, poisons, diseases) from raid members.
- **Classic Aura Durations and OmniCC** [4:35] — These add-ons work together to display debuff timers on targets and crowd control effects, improving awareness.
- **Character Stats Classic** [5:33] — Shows detailed character stats like crit chance, hit chance, and mana regeneration in the character window.
- **Real Mob Health** [6:04] — Displays precise health of enemies; accuracy improves as the add-on collects data from kills.
- **Classic Cast Bars** [6:50] — Shows a cast bar under enemy unit frames, similar to retail, for better awareness of enemy spells.

### Conclusion

These add-ons enhance raiding by improving threat awareness, boss mechanics tracking, and UI customization. The host advises using them judiciously to maintain challenge and enjoyment.

oh hey guys my name is a metal goblin
and today I'm going to be counting down
the top 10 add-ons you need for raiding
in classic Wow
just Before we jump in guys please do
give me a quick Florent which I'll be
streaming a lot of my rating over quite
soon so for the first add-on I want to
get a little bit of a topic out of the
way because I'm going to be talking
about DBM my general recommendation with
deadly boss modes is I wouldn't
recommend downloading it until you've at
least done 4 dungeons and the raids at
least once
the thing is DBM makes the raids
ridiculously easy and obviously in
vanilla
especially during phase 1 the mechanics
are fairly limited so I'd recommend
jumping into the raids without deadly
boss modes active for your first trial
and then when you've got the Reds on
farm then yeah fair enough download
download deadly boss mode that when we
progressed into phase free when the
raids get a little bit more difficult
and again you know that would be my
recommendation to get deadly boss modes
of always you are just making raids a
little bit too easy for yourself
basically so that's my German
recommendation anyway let's move on next
I'm going to show you a very simple
threat add-on which is extremely
essential it's called classic threat
meter so I'm going to get into combat to
kind of show this out and off as you can
see I have the main thing you pay
attention to when it comes to framing
afraid front knee is here and the main
thing you really pay attention to is the
percentage on the right so you obviously
don't want to pull threats off a tank
which means you avoid going to hundred
percent because you have 100 percent
that means you're gonna Paul fret so
before I move on I won't need to talk
about obviously at Nick's ear a lot of
time in a nick seer a raid leader will
tell you to only do wide damage or very
slow damage on a Nick's here but um the
thing is if the worry knows how to play
is class and that rogue knows how to
play his class
the rogue or any other DPS shouldn't
pull aggro from the warrior okay
especially if you're a rogue in all
honesty if I go boss the wall of my DPS
I never pull aggro off via tank anyway
without even using faint but obviously I
need this fret meter installed just to
be on the safe side
event like if I start pulling too much
fret for now he's a feint I'll use a
vanish it basically means I can optimize
my DPS much more by obviously keeping
the read safe by not pulling aggro from
the tank next I don't we have is we
cores which is a really big extensive
add-on which would take me you know an
individual with video for me to fully
cover basically we core is what it was
do it will show certain animations on
the screen certain colors whatever you
want when certain things happen that's
kind of like the shorthand of it really
so you can say for instance if you
you're one of your abilities procs you
can put something in the screen to
display that or what needs more use for
is when boss bosses do certain thing so
for instance when bosses go into
different phases when boss has gained
certain buffs and when a certain
specific mechanics gone on in the raid
when you can display a little
notification on the screen to remind you
of that happening so it makes raiding
much much easier
again it's not think it's essential and
phase one because the raids are so easy
but when we start progressing into you
know phase free and garage especially
now drummers then this add-on will
probably see a lot more use and the next
item I'm gonna show you is one of my
favorite items it's called tell me when
so what it is is a little bar here where
you can display certain buffs you can
just you can keep track of debuff us as
well or enemy buffs literally everything
can be tracked we have tell me when the
main thing I use this for is mainly
tracking my own like kinda buffs like
slice and dice for it's a pretty
straightforward you right-click it you
know you're putting your buffs here and
then you kind of put a timer on and then
like now if I go into combat I will
basically get like a little slice and
dice time I so I can track precisely
when I need to refresh slice and dice
next add-on is an extremely useful
add-on primarily for healers and it's
called D cursive as you can see this
little box here is and basically that is
displaying a individual player and
basically if I had more players like in
my group there would be little different
boxes and they will display like
different colors thing on what kind of
debuff they have for instance if it
occurs
poison effect magic effect disease
effect and therefore you can very
quickly and easily start the cursing
people a lot of the time in raiding
situations d cursing someone is even
more important by naturally healing them
to top health so that is something to
bear in mind so next I'm going to talk
about two add-ons that go kind of
hand-in-hand the very classic order
durations and Omni CC basic classic
horror durations will display d buffs on
the target which you know classic
doesn't do by default and Omni CC takes
a little bit further by making like big
crowd control effects and easier to see
with a little timer because classic aura
durations doesn't show a timer on the
enemy unit frame bobs the Omni CC also
doesn't show duration so you need to
stack these two add-ons together to get
the maximum like usefulness out of it so
for instance if I'm gonna stop this guy
here I can see that timer there I can
also see it down there and you know if I
stun this target here I can also see it
that so that's classic Omni CC but then
like if I display if I do some D bobs
which I'm pretty sure I don't actually
have cuz I'm not trained to them but if
I use gouge like that you know I can see
gouge there if Ed crippling poison now
it also here to see stuff live down so
Bob's your uncle
the next item we have is another one of
my favorites it's very simply called
character stats classic and what it will
do is display detailed information in
the character window you know of your
stats pretty much exactly what you get
from retail so as you can see in this
mellow window here I can see my precise
crit chance I can see my hit chance if I
go to defenses I can see like everything
individually rather than go into the
spell book and it's just generally a lot
more useful and you know I can even see
mana regeneration and stuff like that
the next item we have a very quick one
it's called real mob health what it does
is pretty much what it says on the tin
as you can see my enemy unit frame on
this anvil rage overseer I can see
precisely myself and very creepily it is
four sixes but oh well think the Baron
mind of this add-on is it can sometimes
be kind of inaccurate if it doesn't have
the health data or sometimes basically
when you get into combat and kill and
what can collate what bar enemy's health
was based on my mouth damage he did
before it died and then the next time
you got to kill that mob you will build
you'll basically have the data for that
mob but this is an add-on I recommend to
keep up to date because obviously the
database over time is updating so you
will get more detailed information on
different mobs and their health balls so
to display the next on I need to quickly
get into combat with this fire guard
because it's very simple I don't it is
called classic cast bars and when this
fire guard
gets out of you know a storm he'll
probably start casting scorch of me and
they can very clearly see the casbah
right underneath his uniform and they're
guys but worried in fact this one was
not going to be a cast bomb but as you
can see it's pretty much exactly the
same as it is in retail so but it's
definitely very very very useful but hey
guys the reason why I am in BRD killing
fire guards is because we have a very
slight chance to drop an extremely
expensive reagent called thanks
elemental was elemental fire and vision
of one that is like as a similar surname
to it but it's a white item visa fee
there's like two items I dropped from
fire guards which sell for about four
gold each on my server so I've been in
here pickpocketing and killing fire
guards it is a pretty effective way to
make money as a rogue or possibly any
other cost but anyway about is just a
little bonus icing on the cake rambling
point at the end of this video but I is
where I'm gonna end the video so my name
is Ahmet a couple into my next video
ciao
you
