[1:28] making fun of this. And honestly, I find
[1:29] it hilarious, too, for one big reason.

[1:34] hypocrisy, but also showcases that when
[1:37] finally your content is messed with in
[1:40] some shape or form, then you care about
[1:43] translations, then you care about
[1:45] localization. And let me explain. So,
[1:48] basically, this individual and thousands
[1:50] upon thousands of others have an issue
[1:52] with this translation. Now, I'm just I'm
[1:54] going to just say it right here. I want
[1:55] to say my honest opinions here, jokes
[1:57] and memes aside, I don't like this type
[1:59] of translation either. I think it's in
[2:02] poor taste, honestly, because obviously
[2:04] it's not properly or accurately, you
[2:06] know, depicting the manga. Like, I want
[2:08] onetoone translations. I want the proper
[2:10] translation and intent from the author,
[2:13] and that's all I ask. And I don't care
[2:15] which side you lean on, left side, right
[2:17] side, in terms of politics or whatever.

[2:26] people are calling this out saying that
[2:27] this is, you know, a very bad
[2:28] translation. They don't like it.
[2:30] However, the very people that are
[2:32] calling this out are the same
[2:33] individuals, I'm not joking, that
[2:35] basically will say stuff like this about
[2:38] translations. like translators that
[2:40] translate manga and anime will say stuff
[2:42] like this or stuff like this basically
[2:45] gloating and happy that they're
[2:47] butchering the Japanese text into
[2:49] English and changing things putting
[2:51] politics in it gender politics you know
[2:54] basically putting in like you know
[2:56] anything that kind of can spear men or
[2:57] hate on men stuff like that the
[3:00] patriarchy we have seen these type of
[3:02] translations a lot and basically we have
[3:04] seen for a very long time one side has
[3:06] absolutely been completely fine and
[3:08] happy with butchering translations.
[3:10] Basically saying that, you know,
[3:11] translating a manga or an anime one to
[3:14] one is impossible and that there needs
[3:15] to be some flexibility with the
[3:17] translations. But those very same people
[3:19] that were telling us the, you know, the
[3:20] chuds and stuff and all that basically
[3:22] for a very long time, they're straight
[3:25] up now molding about the translation.
[3:28] And it's just like this is the most
[3:30] eyeopening and hypocritical thing. It's
[3:32] like now you care. Now you care about
[3:35] accurate translations. Now you care
[3:37] about the art, like the artist and offer
[3:39] intent. Now you care about this stuff.
[3:42] Now that it is, you know, coming at you
[3:43] and it's not your propaganda or anything
[3:45] on your side. It's the exact opposite.
[3:48] Now you care about it. And once again, I
[3:50] think that translations like this are
[3:52] also I'm not a big fan of, but there is
[3:54] some hilariousness to this because of
[3:56] just how it masks off everybody, makes
[3:58] everybody exposed. I think it's just
[4:01] that's the interesting part about this
[4:02] whole discussion. But um I do need to
[4:04] address the elephant in the room. The
[4:07] translation in question for this series
[4:09] called Half is More. I believe that's
[4:11] what the the manga is called. Half is
[4:12] More. It says it right here actually. Uh
[4:14] yeah, Half is More. Um from my
[4:17] understanding, this is not an official
[4:19] translation because the series doesn't
[4:21] actually have from my knowledge, correct
[4:22] me if I'm wrong, please in the comments,
[4:24] it does not have an official translation
[4:27] yet. And so obviously in typical manga
[4:29] translation fashion, fan translations
[4:32] and stuff, people pick it up and they
[4:33] can do [ __ ] post subs or translations.
[4:35] And that's exactly what this is. This is
[4:38] [ __ ] post here translations. And um
[4:42] that's pretty much the main meat and
[4:44] potatoes of it. And obviously this isn't
[4:46] real translation. But now you have
[4:48] people saying, "Oh, this is bad and all
[4:50] that. These are fake illegal
[4:51] translations." Like you can see like
[4:53] this individual saying that and all
[4:54] that. And you know, it's just it's very
[4:56] clear what's going on here. It's just
[4:58] like bro look look man.

[5:04] these same individuals that constantly
[5:06] call out like manga translate or not
[5:09] call out manga translations are
[5:10] completely fine with butchering now

[5:35] really care about proper localization. I
[5:37] thought it didn't matter and Japanese is
[5:39] too hard to directly translate to
[5:41] English. Legitimately correct like this

[5:46] examples and stuff like this. So finally
[5:48] seeing that crowd being very upset about
[5:50] this is just crazy. But I will leave it
