[00:11] hundreds of characters, and somewhere around a million reasons to lose sleep over power scaling debates. But if there's one thing that Oda is genuinely unhinged about, it's Devil Fruits. Some of them give you a cool party trick, [00:23] and then there are the ones on this list. Fruits so absurdly overpowered balanced is the fact that most of the people who ate them are either dead, insane, or both. These are the most broken Devil Fruits in One Piece. [00:53] completely stupid on paper, okay? A barrier. That's it. That's the power. A barrier. That's it. That's the power. A barrier. [01:21] creates an invisible wall that nothing, and I mean nothing, has been able to commander, not an attack from a tournament full of fighters trying to kill him. The barrier has a confirmed limit on how much surface area it can [01:34] cover, but within that limit, it's functionally indestructible. There's no work around, no element that counters it, no haki upgrade that cracks it. The fruit is basically no in Devil Fruit form. If Bartholomew were a smarter [01:46] fighter, this fruit would be terrifying. But even in the hands of a fanboy who nobody's figured out how to DEAL WITH IT. [02:08] tried to research an anime list like this one, you know how fast your browser turns into a war zone, right? 12 wiki tabs, a fan theory from 2014, three auto is a pop up asking if you're 18. So, that's why I've been using Opera GX, the [02:23] sponsors of this video. It's a browser built for people who actually need to focus. Ad blockers on by default, which means no pop ups, no banner spam, no random your PC has 47 viruses energy, pages that just load cleanly. Then [02:37] different browser modes for different head spaces. I've got one for script writing videos and one for research and another for everything else. Switch doesn't bleed into the other. It's genuinely changed how I work. And tab [02:52] that I needed. Group your tabs by topic, name them, color code them, and suddenly 30 open tabs feels manageable instead of overwhelming. One feature I've started leaning on hard is profiles. Think of it as a completely separate version of the [03:06] browser for whatever mode you're in. I've got one profile that's pure work. When I'm locked in, I open the work profile and the distractions literally don't exist. Different bookmarks, different history, different logins. [03:18] have to fight the temptation because the temptation isn't even there. It's free, your time. Links in the description and pin comment. Download Opera GX, stay pin comment. Download Opera GX, stay logged in. [03:35] Marco's fruit takes the concept of getting back up and makes it offensively unfair. >> Ikinari. >> Ikinari. King. [03:52] Torenai darou yo. Rogia yori sarani kishou. [04:31] mythical Zoan that surrounds the user in blue flames of resurrection. You shoot him with lasers, he regrows the hole. You chop off his wing, it snaps back together. You blast him with enough firepower to level an island, he just [04:43] walks out of the smoke looking mildly annoyed. He stalled King and Queen, two top tier Yonko commanders at the same time during Onigashima, and his health bar just refused to drop. The fruit even lets him share those healing flames with [04:55] frontline medic. It's essentially an invincibility cheat code wrapped in a flaming blue bird, and the only real limit is his own stamina. [05:52] clothesline. Well, Doflamingo looked at this fruit and decided it was a weapon this fruit and decided it was a weapon of mass control. [06:14] entire crowds like a twisted marionette show, create a full clone of himself out of thread, fly by attaching strings to clouds, and the crown jewel, the birdcage. An expanding dome of razor-sharp strings that trapped an [06:26] entire island with no way out. Nobody could cut through it. Not Zoro, not Fujitora, not anyone. Oda basically gave Doflamingo a fruit that does 15 one of them threatening. The String String Fruit is the Swiss Army knife of [06:40] Devil Fruits, except every tool on it is a knife. [06:57] unadulterated lethality, we have to talk about the man who turned One Piece's most secure prison into his personal bio-hazard zone. [07:34] produce and control every conceivable type of poison. We're not just talking about a toxic rash here. One graze from his venom dragon and your nervous system completely shuts down. During Impel Down, Magellan didn't just beat Luffy, [07:46] he left him to melt in a puddle of agonizing despair. He even one-shotted Blackbeard and his entire crew in passing, barely breaking his stride. His ultimate move, Venom Demon, produces a red poison so corrosive it literally [07:59] a virus. The only downside is that the user spends half the day on the toilet with severe digestive issues. But, when he's off the ball, he's a walking game he's off the ball, he's a walking game over screen. [08:26] time, and that alone puts it on a completely different level than most completely different level than most fruits on this list. [08:55] years into the future, which set up the entire liberation of Wano. You can dodge any threat, outlast any enemy, and rewrite the course of history by limitation is that you can only go forward, never back, but even with that [09:08] insane, isn't it? You could send an entire army into the future to ambush a target decades later. You could preserve someone on the brink of death until the one of the few fruits that feels like it belongs in a completely different genre. [09:49] Mi. It only works if the target feels attraction towards the user, which limitation until you remember that the user is Boa Hancock, widely considered the most beautiful woman in the entire One Piece world. [10:37] is a target. Marines, pirates, even pacifistas have been turned to stone by this fruit. And it's not just a slow, irresistible effect. One beam, one kick, one touch, and you're a statue. Done. The fight is over before it even starts. [10:50] The only person who's ever been shown to be truly immune is Luffy, and that's than everybody else on the planet. For literally any other user, this fruit might be mid. On Hancock, it's an extinction-level event. [11:27] Hobi Hobi no Mi might be the most single terrifying fruit Oda ever created. [12:03] one touch and you're turned into a toy. Your free will is gone. You obey her commands. And here's the part that makes my skin crawl. Everyone who ever knew you forgets you existed. We're talking about your family, your friends, your [12:15] entire history gets erased from the collective memory of the entire world. Donquixote ran a slave economy on this one fruit. People were living alongside knowing it. And on top of all of this, the fruit stops the user from aging. [12:29] actually in her 20s. The only reason this fruit isn't number one on the list is that all it takes to undo everything is knocking Sugar unconscious. [13:06] sounds innocent and then escalates into something completely absurd the more you something completely absurd the more you think about it. [13:30] anything. Okay, sure. But anything includes pain, fatigue, air, people, and apparently the concept of distance. He repelled the entire Straw Hat crew to specific islands scattered across the world in an instant. Each one landing [13:43] exactly where they needed to be. That level of precision combined with that kind of range is unprecedented. And then that moment where he extracted all of Luffy's accumulated pain and damage into a physical bubble. Oh man. He literally [13:56] made it a tangible object. This fruit doesn't follow the rules. It just decides what physics means today and everyone else has to just deal with it. [14:23] Big Mom's devil fruit is functionally a cheat code for building an empire. [15:07] lifespan from anyone who feels fear in her presence and she can pull those stolen souls into literally anything. Trees, clouds, fire, candy, buildings, turning them into living servants called homies. Her three special homies alone [15:21] miniature sun. Zeus is a sentient thundercloud. Hera is an upgraded version of Zeus that's even more obedient. She controls weather, creates fear mechanic means that showing any weakness in front of her is a death [15:35] sentence. The entire country of Tot Whole Land is built on this fruit. Every tree talks, every cloud watches, every piece of the landscape is loyal to her. It's less a devil fruit actually and more of a one-woman nation-building [15:48] more of a one-woman nation-building toolkit. [16:05] Gravity manipulation, two words that should make any power scaler nervous. [17:00] gravitational force at will, which already sounds like a top-tier ability does with it. He pulled a meteor from orbit, just casually yanked a chunk of space rock down from the sky like he was [17:12] of the rubble of an entire city and suspended it in the air. He can pin that they physically can't move. And unlike a lot of flashy devil fruits, gravity is invisible. There's no beam to dodge, no projectile to deflect. You [17:27] just suddenly weigh 10 times what you did a second ago, and your knees buckle. For a man who's blind, Fujitora picked the one fruit that doesn't require you to see your target. Odin knew exactly what he was doing. [18:05] give this video a like if you're enjoying it so far. Thank you. [18:22] >> ICE AGE. AOKIJI. [18:37] his fight with Akainu. Not a lake, not a pond, half of Punk Hazard permanently. The climate of that island is still split down the middle years later. That alone should tell you everything about the ice ice fruit ceiling. The fruit [18:50] grants full ice logia powers, meaning Aokiji can turn his entire body into ice, reform when shattered, and freeze anything on contact. He froze a chunk of the ocean large enough to walk across. He froze Whitebeard's tsunami, a wave [19:02] tall enough to swallow Marineford in place with a single touch. And the most effortless Aokiji makes it look. He fights like a man who's never once been worried about losing. When your body is ice and the entire ocean is just water [19:16] waiting to be converted into your weapon, it's hard to blame him. [19:37] any combat system and the Pika Pika no Mi gives its user the most speed the Mi gives its user the most speed the physics allows. [20:14] kicks at the speed of light. He shoots a laser beams, actual concentrated beams of photons from his fingertips. He dismantled an entire generation of Supernovas almost casually, barely breaking a sweat against people the [20:26] chapters. And because it's a Logia, physical attacks pass right through him catch someone who's already gone. The Pika Pika no Mi is the kind of fruit where the only reason it isn't completely game breaking is that Kizaru [20:40] as a person just doesn't seem to care enough to go full throttle. The speed of light and he uses it at half effort. Terrifying. [21:12] to the Blue Sea, his bounty would be at least 500 million berries. That was stated back when 500 million berries was an almost mythical number. [22:03] lightning itself. 200 million volts of pure destructive force with a range that covered the entirety of Skypiea. Enel could sense every conversation on the restart his own heart after it stopped, and melt gold with a thought. He [22:17] destroyed an entire civilization from above like some kind of vengeful weather is that rubber doesn't conduct electricity. That's it. One hard counter Without Luffy, no one in Skypiea could have touched him. The Goro Goro no Mi is [22:31] what happens when Oda gives a villain the powers of an actual natural disaster weakness into the hero just to make THE FIGHT POSSIBLE. [22:52] confirmed has the highest attack power of any devil fruit in the series. [23:38] into living magma and it hits harder than anything else in the One Piece world. Akainu punched through Ace, a man made of fire, and killed him. That moment rewrote the rules of how Logia matchups work. Fire loses to magma. End [23:51] of discussion, okay? During Marineford, Akainu tanked hits from Whitebeard, got slammed into a crevice, and just kept coming. He melted through everything and of a man who knows he can't be outgunned. The fruit is pure [24:04] concentrated lethality. No tricks, no gimmicks, no clever applications, just overwhelming, suffocating firepower that turns every fight into a question of whether you can survive long enough to find an opening. Most people can't. [24:18] find an opening. Most people can't. >> Sir. [25:18] Azure dragon, a mythical creature that can fly, generate flame clouds strong enough to lift an entire island, breathe fire hot enough to vaporize rock, and unleash wind blades and lightning bolts from the sky. Just being in his presence [25:30] standing under an incoming natural disaster, and that's before you factor in this is a mythical Zoan, which means the base stats are absurd even in human creature alive, and his fruit is a massive reason why. The durability alone [25:44] is insane. The man jumped off a sky island onto the ground for fun and aspect of this fruit is designed to make the user a mobile extinction event. It doesn't have a subtle mode, it's just large-scale destruction with wings. [26:20] Luffy ate a rubber fruit. Turns out it was the Hito Hito no Mi, model Nika, a mythical Zoan so important the World Government spent 800 years trying to Government spent 800 years trying to keep IT FROM AWAKENING. [27:20] rules of the fight stopped existing. He grabbed lightning and threw it. He inflated himself to the size of a giant and ran through the air like a Looney Tunes character. The fruit essentially gives its user the power of imagination. [27:33] If you can think it, you can do it. Oda described Nika as the most ridiculous in action, it's not exactly an exaggeration, is it? It's the busted. But even by protagonist standards, being able to rewrite physics [27:47] on the fly because you think it'll be funny is on another level entirely. [28:20] >> Ope Ope no Mi is nicknamed the ultimate devil fruit in universe, and that's not devil fruit in universe, and that's not just hype, okay? [28:44] authority over everything inside it. He can swap people's personalities, teleport objects, cut people apart without killing them, remove organs from living bodies, and attach severed body parts to entirely different people. The [28:56] then there's the cherry on top, the perennial youth surgery. The user can grant another person immortality at the cost of their own life. This single Government was willing to pay 5 billion berries for the fruit. 5 billion, okay? [29:12] applications, which are already top tier. Law was cutting through Yonko in real time. The Ope Ope no Mi does everything, and it does all of it at the highest possible level. [30:13] get this fruit. He waited decades on Whitebeard's ship pretending to be a loyal subordinate, all for the chance to eat the Yami Yami no Mi. And honestly, I eat the Yami Yami no Mi. And honestly, I GET IT, OKAY? [30:48] FUNCTIONS like a black hole. It swallows everything, attacks light, entire towns. But the real nightmare is what it does to other devil fruit users. One touch become a normal person. In a world where the entire power structure is built [31:02] to just turn them off is the most dangerous thing imaginable. Blackbeard shut down his quake powers like flipping a switch. The darkness also absorbs more [31:14] downside. But Blackbeard turned that weakness into a strategy. Eat the pain, and hit them when they've got nothing left. Simple, brutal, terrifyingly [31:26] left. Simple, brutal, terrifyingly effective. [31:58] The Goro Goro no Mi is literally called the power to destroy the world. [32:52] fruit and say, "This could end everything." Whitebeard cracked the air itself at Marineford. He tilted the ocean. He created tsunamis tall enough to drown an island of Marines, and he did all of this while old, sick, and [33:05] dying. At his peak, this man could have shaken the planet apart, and the only thing stopping him was the fact that he chose not to. Then, Blackbeard stole the world panicked because now the power to end everything was in the hands of [33:18] someone who actually wanted to use it. The Gura Gura no Mi is the most broken Devil Fruit in One Piece, not because of what it does, but because of what it what it does, but because of what it could do if nobody were holding back. [33:43] have no business being as powerful as they are. Oda's been writing One Piece for over 25 years, and somehow he keeps inventing powers that make the old ones one, drop it in the comments because in a series with this many fruits, there's [33:57] happen. Like and subscribe if you enjoyed this, and I'll see you in the enjoyed this, and I'll see you in the next one.
