# You Can Never Win | Power Broker LiveStream

> Source: [You Can Never Win | Power Broker LiveStream](https://youtube.com/watch?v=c2ktDKoRP78)

## Summary

In this 3-hour+ livestream, the hosts of Savage Geese (Mark and Jack) host an informal Q&A and podcast-style discussion about cars, comparing models like the Supra, Z, GR86, and Mazda3, and exploring controversial topics like the relevance of lap times, dealership models, and the emotional divide in online car culture. They also share personal stories, industry insights, and answer dozens of viewer questions.

### Key Points

- **Car Comparisons and Lap Time Philosophy** [02:24] — They discuss a comparison test of affordable 'poverty cars' like the Mazda3, noting it was designed as a faux-luxury car, not a hot hatch, and that lap times depend heavily on conditions (temperature, track rubber). They argue that lap times are less important than how a car feels to drive.
- **Upcoming Comparisons: Supra vs Z vs GR86** [03:00] — They announce a comparison test between the Toyota Supra, Nissan Z, and modified GR86 on real tires to see if a modified GR86 can keep up with the two more powerful cars, emphasizing it's more of a show than a definitive test.
- **Integra vs Mazda3 Comparison** [08:57] — They plan a comparison between the Integra and Mazda3, both Japanese pseudo-luxury cars, to give ungarnished thoughts after time has passed. They note the Mazda3 Turbo AWD doesn't come with a manual, and discuss OEM trends of putting manuals only on top trims.
- **Car Enthusiasm and Market Challenges** [11:22] — They discuss how enthusiasm for cars is decaying due to rising prices, supply chain issues, and long wait times. They also mention the difficulty of even journalists buying desired cars (like GR Corolla) at fair prices.
- **Toyota Sienna as an Appliance** [16:56] — Jack talks about his experience with a Sienna minivan, highlighting its fuel economy (almost 40 mpg) and stealthy, npc-like presence on the road, which he finds both amusing and practical.
- **GM Engineering Support** [19:18] — Mark notes that GM's engineering support has been excellent, with engineers willing to talk about why and how they did things, though the end products vary. He specifically praises the Lyriq and Escalade V.
- **Dealer Model Criticism** [24:43] — They criticize the car dealer model, noting it may take years to change due to state protections, but that OEMs see value in controlling pricing and profit streams directly. They discuss subscription services and the potential for lower transaction prices.
- **Kia Stinger vs Challenger Scat Pack** [26:44] — Mark explains why he prefers the Scat Pack over the Stinger: it has a V8, ZF transmission, double-wishbone suspension, and is a 'honest' muscle car, whereas the Stinger is 'hyper confused' about trying to be a German luxury car.
- **C8 Corvette vs GR86** [42:28] — They answer a viewer question comparing the C8 Corvette to the GR86, emphasizing that the C8 is better value if speed and sophistication matter, but the GR86 is more engaging for track driving and costs half as much.
- **Used Luxury Car Recommendations Under $55K** [47:39] — They recommend the GV70 or X3 for larger drivers seeking a luxury compact SUV under $55K, noting that the Lexus RX is being refreshed and the RDX is too old.
- **GM's Three Divisions** [52:49] — Mark breaks GM into three levels: the truck team (unlimited resources), the sports car team (making amazing cars like ZL1, Corvette), and the 'shitbox' team (Blazer, Equinox, Encore) where young engineers cut their teeth.
- **Manual vs Automatic Transmission Debate** [55:10] — They discuss that automatics have gotten so good that in some cases they are preferable, but manuals are becoming a long-term investment because they are rare and easier to sell. They note that certain cars (like the GT3) are so good that the gearbox doesn't matter.
- **Steering Feel Definition** [57:50] — They define good steering feel as the car communicating grip levels through the wheel—a load up as grip builds, then a subtle vibration as it breaks away. They contrast modern EPS (even good ones) with hydraulic racks found in older cars like the NSX.
- **Tesla and Elon Musk's Future** [62:42] — They opine that Tesla needs to put Elon out to pasture as he gets in the way of growth, and that competition from legacy OEMs (like GM's Super Cruise) will soon catch up, potentially trouble Tesla's dominance.
- **EV Battery Life and Recycling** [64:40] — They note that manufacturers are making strides in reducing cobalt and achieving 100% recyclability (citing GM's Lyriq), but the supply chain is still complex and proprietary, making it hard to assess full environmental impact.

### Conclusion

The live stream offers a raw, unfiltered look at the hosts' opinions on modern car culture, technical details, and market trends, blending humor with genuine automotive insight. It reinforces the idea that while specs and lap times matter, the emotional connection to a car is what truly defines its worth.

## Transcript

hello
these people asked for it they got it
they definitely did i'm just making sure
our ever lovable chin face is ready yes
and the other thing is we need to do
make sure that uh everybody needs to
sign sound off that our audio is within
specifications can they can you lovely
people hear us oh look at that they can
wow there's one person again okay
he said yes good i'm going to check in
with chris or face
and you can you can see what chin face
looks like in our escalade v video
that's right if you want to know what
chris looks like
watch the escalade v video and then he's
also going to be in another cadillac
video is this guy just only yeah he only
likes gm's well he's he actually was
designed by gm's ai division he's our
new uh gm
bot
and uh it's not technically gm because
we could get sued for saying that he's
actually designed by gm but some after
hours engineers that have worked on who
also like nursing homes
yep
um
all right so what do you want to talk
about well so today's live stream is
going to be treated like a traditional q
a of course okay uh because people like
that but i also want to bring up some
topics in between
so this can feel more like a podcast
that it's actually starting to turn into
where we talk to you about nothing for
four hours in this case three hours
because we are going to do a
hard cut off at 10 pm central central
time yes uh so cdt isn't it technically
no it's cst right now and then it goes
to cdt and the next time change it's
very confusing perfect well so much for
that engineering degree anyway all right
nobody cares about time zones uh the
what was the thing i was gonna tell you
about that uh oh yes dj shrimp scampi
couldn't be here today he had to pull a
double at red lobster this week
i mean nobody wants to work and i don't
get it the cheddar biscuits are and you
stood me up for a admiral's
feast instead of going to the track with
me where you could spend some time with
a pro driver you were just like brit
britt's got too much testosterone for me
i got i gotta cool down with some
lobster
yeah this guy's like oh you want to
drive a gr86 on the track i'm like yeah
i think i'll just rather go to red
lobster
um so let's get into before we start
that let's talk about some car stuff
okay um
because that's what people uh enjoy
and uh so we got i got a whole list here
oh wow
i got a lot to talk about
we did our comparison test which we
somewhat talked about uh with the all
the affordable poverty cars and one of
the big questions was why do you didn't
include mazda 3
hatch
and that's something that we are going
to cover in
the next video comparison that we're
doing we have a couple comparisons
coming that you guys uh clearly seem to
like we're doing
like every everyone in the world is
doing this comparison test but it's uh
supra
and z
with gr86 thrown in there to show you
whether or not a modified gr86 can keep
up
with two cars
with real tires we're putting both the
supra and the z on real tires yeah and
we're not going to talk about that but
we're trying to neutralize some of this
yeah and you already know that the gr86
is going to be slower but i mean it it's
just a show really between jack
myself and brit casey who obviously is a
professional driver we're going to show
that and kind of what you expect and i
think some of these comparisons like
people ask well what about the lap time
board and
to be completely fair nobody cares about
lab times especially on a track nobody's
ever driven on there's no real benchmark
of to saying okay this car's fast on
this track and
truth is that somebody could be fast on
this track and then the car could be
faster on another track that's more of a
club circuit the other thing that we
found when we did our testing we had the
s2000 gr86 and i can't remember i think
the elantra and out that day it was
really cold it was cold and windy and it
was the first time that i'm like holy
these cars
it wasn't just a little bit fast it was
noticeably faster and the pavement
wasn't rubbered in on the other tracks
so we're losing a lot of grip so this is
the point when you see lap times you can
almost take them as a grain of salt
unless you have somebody that is taking
like 20 cars at once taking them out the
same day like within the same hour where
the sun is if the you know all that crap
that's that's the only way lap times are
typically accurate and i don't i used to
put a lot more weight on that and now i
put a far less weight on because it's
more about how the car feels
what the car is doing and what it's not
doing that's important and i think
that's going to be more of our
focus going forward the mazda3 thing so
watch your original video on the mazda3
all-wheel drive turbo
the car is not a hot hatchback i don't
care what anyone says it has a torsion
being rear end when you talk to the
mazda engineers it was designed as a
faux luxury car not once did they
mention golf r gti
i don't really think you launch around
you launch ran
the lunchroom wasn't even a velociraptor
yeah none of those cars were out back
then or sorry or even
like benched luxury right right yeah so
that's that's all one thing we can put
it out here which we'll probably talk
about in the video but that really
changes your your perspective how can
you compare it knowing that their car
was never designed to be that fun car
anymore yeah it's it's fast
it's quick it's supposed to be like that
everyday driver with refinement a little
bit of enjoyment to drive um but you
know what i'll counter that and say when
you look at the integra of the civics
and all these affordable cars they've
become almost to the point where they're
all over refined too i mean they're
really refined compared to like the old
boxes we used to love we're gonna
be doing a video
with the crx yes like two crx's and i
told jack i'm like when we get this crx
race car on track
i'm almost i i would put money on it
that it'll be the best car you've ever
driven on that's like the formula cars
yeah outside of like you know real race
cars of course but street cars turn race
car um and it's because those cars of
the past were just so connected they
they talked to you in every way that
they possibly can
um the byproduct was that car this was a
best-case scenario yeah scott that
that's true yeah yeah okay scott
building probably
one of the most dominant uh crx's in
existence and racing in existence in
racing here in the us yeah but the car
was notoriously good but i'm just saying
like that's a great example of the like
long long ago approach of like having
connectivity and that car was actually
refined back in the day too that was
like a big step forward but now
we've we've gone to these new cars where
they have to do
like they have literally have to do
everything and you're like you're
driving like man this is great to drive
me like god am i bored driving
this thing you know so any anyway it's
really hard
um it's really hard to explain this to
to people watching where they can kind
of get a good taste for what these
things are really like um and lap times
again back to that point lap times do
not tell you anything about any of that
like literally well that's the problem
with the internet though right people
only care about bench racing like you
have the gt3 rs that's coming out yeah
that we will not be at the european
launch but we will be at the u.s
re-launch or whatever that that car uh
whatever they're doing with that car
here in the u.s but all anyone seems to
care about with that vehicle is
how it does around the ring what ring
time it isn't yes for a car like that
that's important but
what i'm more interested in finding on
this how does it sound and how does it
improve on the regular gt3 and that's
again that's not what anyone's going to
be talking about right we're just going
to talk about the lap time the same
thing goes for the c806 when they do
release a ring time on that that's all
people are going to hear yep that that's
true but i mean that's how else do
normal like if you don't get to drive
all these cars
what's the easiest way you can tell a
car is better than another one right
from like a performance car perspective
that's why like car and driver and all
those were so dominant they focused on
all these like static objective
measurements
um
and that's how people got used to
judging them and now like some of the
trend is like what cars faster than a
drag race which again is
i guess there's some merit in it in a
straight line you just read the spec
sheet to find out pretty pretty much and
that's why i said like we're going to do
the gr 86 versus like a supra it's like
there's no doubt you don't even have to
do you know you don't even have to read
anything to know that
the the super is going to annihilate
that car in any condition the question
is is it in and that was the s2000
argument like that's 2000 maybe slower
but you're feeling a lot driving it so
even though it's not as fast you're
feeling like you're driving it you feel
like it's faster because it's so
engaging and that's that's where you
can't judge cars uh object or
subjectively and objectively anymore
through any type of measured testing
because those lines are no they're so
blurred now
the other comparison test we will be
doing speaking of integra is integra
mazda3 i feel like that's a pretty apt
one they're both japanese pseudo luxury
cars and we get to actually talk about
our like our our ungarnished thoughts
now that time has passed yeah integra
and revisit the mazda3 they are very
similarly priced but the one thing i
will bring up is mazda 3 turbo all-wheel
drive which is about 35 000 as a hatch
or 36 does not come as a manual right
yeah which this is another topic all
together like what is it with the car
manufacturers
releasing enthusiast cars
and putting manuals on only the top trim
like is this like did did you get an
explanation as to why so with ilx if i
understand correctly i'm sure the
comments will
correct me if i'm wrong
um the ilx the prior gen only the
poverty trim level the cheapest model
got the manual and people were upset so
they're like all right you guys
we'll we'll put it only on the expensive
one i just think from an oem's
perspective they can't win
and i think they're just assuming that
someone who wants to buy an integra
who's already an enthusiast will just
cough up the extra money for the manual
i don't necessarily agree with it but
i'm sure from a product planning
perspective
no one's gonna buy that car anyway once
the original enthusiasts are done buying
the manual batches they'll all go cvt
i'm sure the manufacturing costs of
having multiple trim levels with
multiple different transmissions they
just don't want to deal with and
probably well didn't right now is
different than historically right so you
have a finite amount of production
capacity that you can actually build
cars and where
is the margin right like where are they
gonna make the most money of course uh
on putting that manual transmission
somewhere and how many can they actually
build so dealerships are probably like
just get us cars so like okay well we
can crap out x amount of cars but trying
to put a manual transmission in every
trim level at this point
is very very difficult to do and i
understand that with the z2 they had
limited capacity gr86 that video you
just did about the long-term thing with
the gre6 there there's comments on there
like in europe we haven't had we haven't
even had one delivery of that car yet
that's how far behind they are so i
think they're being very cautious about
not over spreading yeah like trying to
over uh well you know what i mean
i mean that's the reality of some of
these cars that they are putting manual
gearboxes in like the gr supra you can
forget about trying to get one
of those cars yeah i'm sure it's the
first year it'll be impossible yeah and
that's the disappointment of this i
think and you see
doing the video stuff and you get to see
comments you get to talk to people about
it just like enthusiasm
has gotten so
um
the enthusiasm for cars is like decaying
it's like a cancer because
price obviously is one huge one right
huge it's just a really ridiculous and
then the fact that the you can't get
things which really puts a damper on if
you're working hard and you want
something and you want it like now now
is like six months for a regular car
that is that's infuriating and it just
takes the air out of the room for the
whole like enthusiast marketplace and
cars in general it's not just enthusiast
cars like if i wanted to go buy a rav4
like a rav4 hybrid right yeah you can
forget about it i mean yeah i mean it's
just it sucks
and i mean i get it from all sides even
from like the uh
it's bad for
some journalists like us you know we're
lucky and that some of the oems will
offer us cars or not it not for free but
hey you do want to buy one of these even
then
like the the gr corolla i'm desperately
trying to get one to do another
long-term series for you guys because i
imagine that's a car that people are
excited about and i'm genuinely excited
to buy one they're like good luck
right well and that's the same thing we
we have this conversation and i'm in the
process
uh i don't want to get into the personal
side of it but i'm in the process of
going to be moving to a new place in the
next like three weeks and you're moving
as well and i'm like i'm looking at
money i'm looking at the numbers for the
year and i'm looking at how everything
is like
you know i mean it's just it's it's the
economy and everything and um like
gas prices are a great example you know
you go from
last year to this year and it's like
maybe two something a gallon yeah it's
over double it's over double and then
like uh i just want to go switch over uh
utilities for this new place so gas
electric
um
i don't know all the other utility ship
but when i got on the phone to switch
over gas i'm like just out of curiosity
can you tell me the historic prices
of previous months she's like well i
will tell you all that but i want to
precede it by telling you that the cost
for gas has doubled from
0.68 therms or whatever the unit is to
uh it's just double that like a dollar
36 a term so the gas bill is literally
going to go from 200 to 400 to 400 and
then the wins are 800 a month
just just for that and that's excluding
like the expense of everything else so
you throw all of that in there and that
i round about way of saying this jack
wants to get a gr corolla and it's bet
people have been asking are you going to
get a new civic type r and i told them
you should buy one but at the same time
it's it's
more money and it's not cheap anymore
right like talking about a civic si back
in the day oh twenty two thousand
dollars or twenty four thousand yeah i
could i think i can work that into the
budget when you're talking about like 45
and then when the dealers get a hold of
you ten to one that thing is going to be
fifty thousand dude that the car is
gonna be like 60 grand yeah so it's like
you're our and at that point i'm done
with it like literally i will not even
consider it and go why would you buy
that when you can get a super or
whatever it's like i if i wanted a civic
type bar i can't even get one probably
and that's just it man cause that so
frustrating well mikey h is asking if
you're moving to the villages in florida
where you can review golf carts
villages that's in lady lake
yeah lady lake and uh and actually i
love the the great biscuits and gravy
and all the nursing home meals that we
have there but jack that was one of your
least it has nothing to do with obsessed
garage that was his least favorite trip
you and i have been to a lot of lovely
places and also not lovely places as
well some parts of california are
horrible um
that by far is the worst place i've ever
spent time is lady lake that is like my
version of well okay outside of like
you know
gary indiana
yeah of doing a trip for work that was
my least favorite location south boston
where tmi was built i enjoyed more than
ladylake and i think some of it and like
i was trying to think about like jack
because it like lady lake is just
it's like every cardboard like you could
look at it looks like every other suburb
to be fair to it
it it looks like every other suburb so
you go down a street applebee's chili's
like every chain it's so hard the
average age is like 75. well i thought
because there were a lot more of an
older generation that there'd be more
like diversity in terms of like stuff to
do people would be more interested in
like oh local business like all of that
stuff was just like crazy amount of just
the same thing and then the traffic was
held up by golf carts i remember that
that's what really pissed you off uh
matt matt mormon was kind enough to let
me drive the gt3 rs that he has and then
the first thing i get behind after i
blow by you guys like an is a
golf cart yep yeah they're like 25 miles
an hour oh yeah that we just got out of
dinner and i don't oh wasn't it bone
fish yeah yeah and at lea you looked
outside the bonefish uh window to go to
our car in right across from bonefish
was a walgreens drive-through with two
golf carts lined up to go through the
the walgreens to pick up prescriptions
and i'm like it's so weird i mean i get
it i i mean i i guess i don't get it but
it's just yeah i can see why you weren't
really that charmed with it what other
car topics do you want to discuss uh
yeah let me look at my list jack before
we start answering these people's
questions no and to be fair uh benny b
just said not that illinois is great it
is not no
it is not excellent this is not about us
being in a better place i mean i'm just
in general
all right give me the next topic
uh the toyota sienna jack
i told you you should buy one of those
too all right so the the story with the
sienna was i got an x7 and i already
explained that in a previous video
um and i have no regrets about that
choice other than it is a lot of money
and
i look at it and i think what would be
the replacement for that because there's
no way i'm keeping it outside of the uh
whatever 95 000 mile warranty that i
have
um
and i thought like okay what is going to
do everything and the sienna
because of its fuel economy not because
of anything all well no i mean it's
completely usable it's a total appliance
on wheels and now i have one that we're
kind of doing some long-term stuff on
because i really want to explore what
it's like we're going to detroit
tomorrow to do crv watch the ottomans
who just kicked it in the camera
there it is um
yeah so like we're going to detroit from
illinois tomorrow on a day trip and just
on my like 200 mile drive already i'm
getting almost 40 miles per gallon not
even trying in in a boat that big
and you know
like there's a lot to be said and i i
thought it was like man this engine is
dog holy crap is it slow and then i
realize all i'm doing is sitting in
traffic so who cares
exactly and i'm not wasting money and
it's completely usable so i i don't know
like i think i'd just love to get back
to a place where i just have some
ridiculously fun car and then have a
total like appliance that wants to suck
your soul out
i think
one of the reasons why i don't think
you'll mind is i actually really enjoyed
our long-term benzo that thing as an
appliance to go to and from iowa in was
amazing it was comfortable it's quiet
the lane keeps assist works all right
yes the the uh
infotainment of this gun is garbage yeah
but you just plug in your phone anyway
it's a total and i didn't give two shits
about it well yeah yeah i think that's
the other thing too driving the sienna
around like as much as
you lose like pretty much any like
it's a refrigerator it is it is driving
a refrigerator around but you're so
stealth and incognito people like you
roll past people and you just disappear
like you're you're like a bot comment
and like oh you're an npc yeah you are
the police yeah you become that bc which
also makes it great because i've been
able to do some stuff in that
thing can you drive by people go hey
there
i mean nobody's gonna give you hello
nobody's even gonna well actually okay
i'm gonna tell a story about this sienna
i took my dad through the walgreens
drive through pharmacy drive-thru
yesterday and um i had an incident with
somebody but before i get into that wait
for this commercial
there's no commercial i was just saying
that because i wanted to delay this
story and really drag it out for people
to sit here for that i thought you're
going to show them the amazing business
opportunity that old spice and arby's do
that do do it right now go on
youtube and type in old spice and go
look up their videos they have a
partnership deal with arby's
called uh
what it what's that something about the
meat sweat the meat sweats they they
have a thing where somebody's eating
like a triple decker arby's and you got
the meat sweats and you got to get the
old spice meat sweat edition deodorant i
mean you want to talk about brand
perfection right there
i mean are you going to sue them for
stealing your idea that that if i worked
there that's exactly what i would have
done so somebody's genius i hope that
guy that guy's going to get promoted to
vp after that
or fired one or the other
all right so tell them your story about
how you're no let's do some let's do
some questions first then we'll get into
more like
vlog or whatever this is so we've
been inundated by questions already okay
um i'm gonna bring up two two upcoming
projects and this will answer one of the
questions that someone asked already um
oh my god chris we have a lot of
questions bear with me
oh where does this begin chris
oh god
oh perfect all right so we have a c606
which is being led to us
by a viewer and i think that's happening
next week okay uh and we have
engineering support from gm
now that i've broken the seal with gm
uh i will say i've spent a lot of time
with various engineers and they are
actually
now my favorite american car brand to
deal with from a technical level they
may not necessarily build all my
favorite vehicles but you you've now sat
through a bunch of the interviews it's
pretty amazing the kind of information
will go to you if you ask
i know that that kills you on the inside
it does pain me but it's it is true at
least right now the stuff that you've
been doing there's people that are
actually engaged and not just engaged
from a marketing perspective they want
to talk about why and how they did stuff
now that that's completely different
than the end result of how the product
is yes so i i want to make that very
clear of you know it's great to tell a
story from our perspective because it's
a new product we can't really judge it
other than okay this is how it was like
the lyric and the escalade v so the
lyric the embargo is lifted like the
lyric to me for i think the launch
versions were 60 grand
and i compare that to the gv60 you just
drove the lyric has more range it has a
more usable interior it rides better
i think it's a better car and i mean the
fact that i'm saying that about a gm ev
is
it's double wishbone front and rear
where that thing isn't like it's a
better car
on the surface i i think there's real
truth to that it's it's hard because
you know you look at doing this stuff
and you can probably everybody that's
watching this can it can speak to this
based on your own experience with cars
or your own experience in life you know
there are biases 100
so how do you
get through some of that to just like in
our case just talk about what something
is
versus like what you feel about it you
know you don't like korean cars
okay and other than the launcher which
is the best front-wheel drive car driven
and i mean to be fair like the g80 is a
really good car some of these cars are
really good but you don't no matter what
they do
inherently you're gonna have a problem
with them and
this is coming from a korean person yeah
so yeah i thought you were
singaporean this dude changes my eraser
because he's like he's playing the asian
girl he's like i'm going to be every
asian so i can fit in every group
i can't do that i literally i'm just the
stud
yeah whatever won't go into that um the
other project that's coming up i'm
filming greg's from chicago auto pros
987.2
cayman s which means nothing to him but
it's the the cayman that everybody's
been asking for just keep throwing out
the numbers yeah i'm gonna bring out my
spreadsheet i'll tell you
i need like a decoder ring to figure out
all these porsche numbers that you're
always throwing around
i do i honestly i have gotten better at
it uh brian dogs thank you for the five
dollars thank you everyone for that uh
0gn thank you for the 20. uh hey you
guys supporting us always i was the guy
buying the house you asked what truck to
get elsa tacoma who owns the six speed
thank you guys for the arby's update of
june keep up the good work
zero i don't know if you bought the taco
yet but if you didn't it's still a great
truck and if you did congratulations on
your bridges congratulations and uh just
congratulations when you make a million
dollars on it in like 10 years
when you sell somebody selling it more
than 500 000 miles on it and you'll
still make
uh captain goof thank you for your 10
donation imagine you're now a product
planner please pitch me
uh please pitch for me a total
butchering of an old name plate let me
suggest the new honda c2000 cuv except
segment busting feature heated and
cooled armrests
man i don't think i could pitch one
worse than the eclipse cross like that
one is pretty amazing
yeah that's really hard
that that's like i mean we've talked
about this before like with that with
the name plates i was actually at
portillo's okay and they have all this
old-timey stuff all these advertisements
on the wall and they had a
and i i can't remember it was a ford it
was like grand deluxe or some like name
and it was showing the marketing
description it was for the the active
mother this car
and it had all the luxury features like
mahogany wood trim uh mohair carpet like
all like real materials because there's
no like plastic composites and i was
sitting here thinking i'm like
you know these are all the names like or
more popular names that you could reboot
into some cuv but i mean they're also
cookie cutter you could just basically
take any name and i don't think anybody
would care anymore the only people that
care are the people that have like some
automotive like knowledge which
apparently like the blazer is a good
example everyone hates that
thing on the internet yeah but they
sound like a jillian kajillion of them
yep that i mean because the normal
person the corvette suv which is coming
yeah my understanding
i hate everything about that product
and i'm sure they're gonna sell everyone
they make so i can't pitch to you
anything worse than it's already out
there i don't know like some of that to
get it getting off topic a little bit is
we had that conversation with uh i think
uh acura about that and
uh like the one movie that comes to mind
recently was ghostbusters the not the
new one but the all-female cast one
where people
literally buried that movie
just from just negative press and like
like fake reviews and all this just
literally buried it and i i think
that's different because cars you could
never bury because the number of people
that are enthusiasts about cars are so
minute compared to the actual people
that buy them um i don't think people
even care anymore about rebooting names
they're like oh that's a cool name i
have no idea what it is
anyway it's depressing
not really it's just business you should
like that well
bullying boy over here
um
kyle patton thank you for your ten
dollars been waiting a while for the new
tundra i hope it's worth it
it's your your no no like it's i feel
like it's hot as hell in here but i know
it's not it's just the heat that you're
putting off it's your laptop dude this
thing is like
it's probably my legs like my legs are
sweating from being really close yeah
it's probably the stupid because i don't
ever turn this laptop on it's my backup
and every time i turn it on of course
microsoft anti-malware runs in the
background and even when i disable the
service somehow it comes back alive in
five minutes and runs the cpu at a
thousand percent for 50 hours uh kyle he
said he's been waiting for the new
tundra he hopes it's worth it he's got a
tundra on order i'm assuming i assume so
i i yeah i mean there's here there's
nothing not to like about it honestly
compared to the last one which is the
question mark of reliability but it
probably will be reliable because it's a
toyota that i i mean anyway on the
surface you're gonna get it and if it's
working right you're gonna be like yeah
this is good we have uh we're closing
out the tundra videos with a tundra trd
hybrid uh we get it next week or the
week after
um
jdm flip-flops thank you for the ten
dollars thank you sir thank you jdm flip
flops you guys have a lot of love from
mazda and porsche on the other hand are
there any brands that have made it a
royal pain in the ass either get a press
car for them or get their engineering
support yes lots of brands are a major
pain in the ass to do both of those
things we had a discussion about
throwing the rep under the bus about a
certain american oem that isn't gm or
isn't
dodge
volantis you mean oh yes
uh that isn't either those brands you
can talk about tesla yeah i'm talking
about tesla no um talk about another
american brand you see what the tesla's
doing by the way they're looking at
people's badge swipes and seeing who's
not coming in the office i don't know if
that's true but if it's true it's
amazing like they're they're actively
sending eddie they're sending out emails
we noticed you haven't been swiping in
you're not showing up to work when
you're supposed to you're done
that's like the power move anyway go
ahead uh certain brands they just don't
value it right and i think some of it's
the reps too like uh drew carey at mazda
the head of mazda pr is amazing he
really values engineering the whole
porsche team and a lot of our toyota
reps value the technical side of cars
and they believe that is what should
sell their product they're different
than the typical marketing arms and even
i know you hate gm but look what they're
doing with z06 i don't hate gm well
right you don't hate you don't like all
not all of gm but the the gmz06 whoever
is running their internal marketing for
that putting out all those little
corvette academy videos they're putting
the engineers first which
while i agree a lot of the videos are
quite dumbed down
they are they're making an effort to
prioritize engineering in the mainstream
sometimes that's the most important
thing to go back to actually answering
the question because this is a big one
i had a discussion with jack about this
person specifically and this person has
been around the block like literally her
oops
the entire career
has been at multiple different companies
at multiple levels this is not somebody
that's just like doesn't know what
they're doing so when it comes time to
actually approaching this person
i just don't think they don't value
they've been around too long it doesn't
even factor in this is just we are a
thorn or we are an obstacle for this
person to do their job it's too much to
ask
at that place in that person's career
and they do not value us trying to get
more information request conversations
with engineers to learn how their
products work they don't literally it
could be just this person but it could
be the company mentality they do not
care about that and they flat out said
this is not a good use of our time is
providing you this information now that
could be loaded there could be more to
it but when you look at somebody's
career which you can and see i've
already done everything i don't need to
bend over for this of this outlet or
whoever this is to give you all that
information because it's not a good use
of my time and that from our side is
really telling about what companies
really value trying to get information
out there which are or those that just
all they give a about is
controlling the narrative and the
marketing part um and many companies are
that way and that's that's how business
runs they don't need really they don't
really need marketing it's just an
exercise for them we got to do this
let's get it done and over with that's
all it is and there's nothing wrong with
it um
i mean there's a lot of businesses that
are run like that and to be fair you
know we are nothing and nobody in the uh
yeah yeah i mean we're fully aware of
that
hopefully that answers your question
i've been trying to tell jack that
because he takes it personal when he's
like trying to do a good job and trying
to get information and he expects
companies martin is another good example
yeah
i think you have an expectation that
companies care about this stuff as much
as you do and that
that is just not going to be the case
and you're never going to get
your
response you're never going to be happy
if you have that expectation of people
utility right now you're going to be
vastly does it's worked for the brands
and i built good relationships with
certain brands that regardless of the
reps and i are best friends i have a lot
of respect for them yeah and that's the
counterpoint right but you also chase
those people that respect what you're
doing that appreciate what you're doing
and trying to go to that you take the
next step to get you that information
that you're desperately seeking because
i think a lot of those reps know that
it's more work to do what you're doing
and they they're like this guy is
actually trying so it elevates their
performance and elevates the stuff and
our reps have also learned a lot that
they didn't know about their own
products just from us digging deeper
into some of the questions and while it
might be useless knowledge i think they
do appreciate that there's somebody out
there trying to push them but you know
it gets exhausting i think that's long
it's exhausting i'm sure some of the
engineers after some of these uh
questions or at least the rapture like
god i hate this guy no no i know
we said that before like you you know
that in the background they're like god
damn i don't want to be dealing with
these guys again it's like always 10
times more work than if i just talked to
some like influencer who just wants you
know like a couple pictures
yeah yeah exactly uh cool stuff one two
three
thank you for your 10 donation i'm cross
shopping the gr86 premium and c8 1lt
coupe i have deposits on each at msrp so
dealer markup isn't an issue is the c8
worth twice the price in this case
if
the c8 is about it's a better car than
the gr86
is it
objectively worth twice twice the price
yes
if you're it's a and i say this a
hundred times all these videos what are
you doing with the car so if you're
gonna preface a question let's just put
this out here because if you want a real
answer you're gonna have to preface this
by saying this is what i do with my car
i take it to the track i hard park it in
the garage and wipe it with you know a
diaper or my girlfriend's like 10 year
old underwear
you i need to know we need to know like
what you're doing with these things so
we can help you better understand
because you know the corvette
and the 80 the 86 is most fun when
you're actually driving it flat out on
the track yes that's a car that's
engaging to drive but if all you're
going to do is park it around and you
want something
speed excites you that's the wrong car
you know what i mean so you see it is
better interior it rides better it's
faster it's more sophisticated it's just
more right news to drive fast it's not a
good driver's car as it it's not a good
driver's car as it stands as a stock
vehicle it's set up to understeer like
crazy it's overly safe it's not really
that connected feeling you have to do a
lot to it to make it that way it has
full alignment capability day one if you
get the z51 package there are a lot of
things you can do to negate some of
those issues and the other question is
is double the money a big deal to you if
thirty if sixty five thousand whatever
holding costs
is no
no real difference to your day in and
day out life versus a thirty one
thousand dollar e6 get the c8 yeah that
i mean unless you're just going to go to
the track there's more to say about it
but i think you you know where we're
coming from
uh
dan smith thank you for the 20
donation hey guys thanks for the
fantastic videos quick question i'm a
bigger guy six
six foot four a larger frame i'm looking
for a luxury compact suv any
recommendations under 55 000.
and i'm six foot so it's hard for me to
visualize i think about mike
mike doesn't fit in anything at that
size mike's even taller isn't he's like
six five or something yeah mike is mike
makes me feel like a little dwarf when
it's that next door he doesn't fit in
any car so he's like man why don't they
make these big i'm like dude you're just
you're in the 90th percentile of size so
you're on the outside part of what these
car designers are looking at and
probably this gentleman as well is going
to be on the outside of that so it's
going to be really tough uh let's just
say our favorite luxury suv is under 55
grand we're going to say i'm going to
say gv70
um look you said compact gv70 x3 imagine
the x3 will probably fit you germans are
tall
um i'm i'm discounting rdx out of the
list now because it's so old
and that's not big on the inside yeah
that's not big what else do you like i
like the but that's that's again that's
not probably not going to fit him as the
the
lexus pile the rx oh the rx but the rx
is getting refreshed yeah yeah which
you know i mean i don't know that's a
four popper only now too i would look at
personally uh if you want a luxury
uh
compact suv x3 or gv70 and i'm a ton is
in under 55. what else are we missing
there's got to be some other brands
there glc i didn't like
mercedes yeah what other luxury brands
are there i don't like lincoln's i mean
the corsair is fine but i wouldn't tell
you to buy a new lincoln right um
the small catalog suvs are crap uh what
about the dodge piles or the g piles
what are they
they have no good small ones
yeah all the small ones are like the
garbage cans yeah so you're basically if
you want and he wants luxury so yeah
basically my mind the q5 is small and
it's old but it's it's a good car an sq5
is great yeah well that's all over that
sq5 is what like that's got to be like
65 000 is that
yeah around 60 you know but
no okay yeah well the q5 is great it's
just very vanilla yeah x3 man if you
honestly i mean i hate to say that but
it's rear-wheel drive architecture
you know it's still 50 50 weight
distribution out of an suv it's just not
luxury kind of to me it feels very gv70
has a nicer interior it does one hundred
percent we'll leave it uh let's just
leave it at that gv70x3 take a look at
both of those i think you'll hopefully
fit in one of them this guy's just
saying genesis because
to make up for the fact that he's really
trash they have a predator drone outside
of this house they're gonna drone strike
me in my escalator when you see monday's
video or friday's video uh when it's the
gv70 or whatever sorry gv60 you'll see
that it's all shot by me and made by me
aside from jack making a minimal
appearance in the shop yeah it's like
all for jax jack calls me he's like man
i'm done with this thing
i spent three minutes under here
is that enough
[Laughter]
um
sam for five dollars
i'm competing in a bodybuilding show
coming up in four weeks please have lots
of arby's curly fries and red lobster
biscuits for me
where do you want them sent i mean we
got you know my contract now the multi
my max contract with red lobster i can
send you biscuits galore
uh two questions from that are not paid
that i want to answer that i think are
hilarious one are we brothers and i'm
gonna bring up something that came from
the hawaii trip that will always did you
tell this one already maybe
you're going to retell it sorry so we
are
now that people have seen like the five
people moral that have watched their
hawaii video
um
one of the stops we did was at a uh
basically like a laboratory essentially
that worked primarily in water
laboratory what do you for a laboratory
what do you what country are you from um
oh that goes into go back to yeah dude
i'm like 40 countries go back to your
planet
no yeah sorry about jeff goldblum or
girls are easy oh yeah
um
man that was a that was a throwback
that's throwback to what year probably
80s
90s birth girls no that's probably
you're probably gina davis is in that
one too maybe it's all right anyway back
to the story we're at this place
um
for science
and this lady who is trying to show us
what you can do with sea salt water salt
uh was like are you guys brothers you
guys have the same eyes
and uh bark and i are obviously not the
same ethnic background and have no uh
are we do not share the same parents
yeah but we have the eyes because we
both have squinty eyes so apparently
that means that we're both born she
didn't see race i'm gonna give her that
the like the late oh that's why you
didn't like lady lake because somebody
said something right not even it's not
racist i guess it's like speak really
good english yeah what would you call
that like it was like i don't know it
was
what would be the like the it made me
laugh no the derogatory term the
foundation
no there's a you speak really good
english no that's like what do they call
that backhanded compliment no
what is it when you
talk about like a gender or a race and
like put stereotypes on them
somebody's gonna pick it up like
oh like if a movie came out and they had
a white person playing it uh like what
was that movie with emma stone she
played my favorite movie ever
i know aloha yeah she played like an
asian bradley cooper in it and emma
stone plays a half korean league okay
anyway whatever like yeah you
jack came back to the hotel that night
he's like you'll never believe this
the water works to come and he wanted me
to hold them
it was like uh it was like uh casino
royale i got in the shower i was crying
and you came with
oh poor jack all right anyway back to
the questions um
oh god all right where the am i in
this i'm sorry guys we're trying to tell
stories
uh
nope nope
too many too many questions all right
andrew thank you for the five euros any
insight to why colors like the recent
mdx you've viewed aren't more commonly
offered here's some petrol money for one
of your small us gallons
oh the mdx yeah why aren't more
interesting colors put in press fleets
or purchased i know i i'm pretty sure i
said this on the last live stream about
the the design one of the designers or
product liners for the old civic the
the civic that everybody hated when it
came out like i think the 9th gen
yeah i think it was the 9th gen so it
was like super bland and she fought to
get that lime green and then an orange
color and the dealers didn't want it and
it was a huge backlash against her
because she went to bat for interesting
color so none of the dealers wanted it
and they complained and complained up
the corporate chain and then they didn't
sell a lot of them that was the the the
knife in it and she said afterwards i
will never do that again in my career it
was just not worth going to bat for
those extra colors and i think that's
that's part of it is people don't buy
them people don't buy them in in mass
and bulk and just that again it's about
tying up production to have these
one-off colors and the dealers are a big
part they want the mainstream movers how
can they move the most amount of cars
possible and the mainstream colors will
sell way more than the obscure ones and
it's weird when you meet people who buy
mainstream color choices they say it's
because it's eloquent or elegant or
sophisticated yeah all the adjectives to
describe but on the counterpoint is like
you look at some of the audi products
like now you can it's not paint to
sample it's like you can see them going
the spectrum colors you can choose i
think there's like 30 of them they're
outside the box that of course you have
to wait for it takes away the rs3 gets
crazy colors and we are doing an rs3
video and we will be taking it to the
track oh boy i can't wait for that no
dude my tent will be pitched no no
that'll be a product that'll actually be
fun anyway the paint to sample stuff
like where you can choose specialty
colors i think that that would be a good
way to offset some of the cost like if i
really wanted a car color
like some of the badass colors that you
should be able to choose on cars that
you're spending now like what fifty
thousand dollars on anyone i would wait
a couple months to get a special color i
wish they would do that but they don't
have the they don't have it set up and
they're manufacturing this someone's
comment dodge the however does do a good
job with colors all the chargers and
challengers like i guess plum crazy that
yeah they use is amazing
um one of my friends always comments
like why is it always the box cars
that have the cool colors you see a
chevy spark and like teal and purple and
like the renegades have like crazy
colors it's like it's weird that they do
it on like the base like like i just
think it's a dodge thing i will say i
mean porsche if you pay twenty thousand
dollars you can paint your car however
yeah that's true yeah exactly what a
deal
well no that's that's what's the there's
two levels of pts there's uh there's
like there's pts and i think pts plus
this is hyper nerdy and yeah spreadsheet
up but if you do pts there's a list of
colors i think it's only seven thousand
for the list of colors and then to do
the full blown one where you pick the
color like you could just take a paint
twenty degrees it's 20 grand yeah
um all right anyway daniel oh bendy gave
us 420 420 4.25 yeah oh
is it 420 today
no it's not
well if somebody's watching this after
the fact it could be well if you watch
this next year on 420
bendy yeah then you can really celebrate
uh daniel hellner thank you for the ten
dollars is there no room in the kingdom
of heaven for automatic transmission
enjoyers yeah there is
hey i used to be all down on the auto
and in certain cars we've said it like
the elantra and conant while the conan
doesn't come with anything else but the
veloster in it's better as a dual clutch
i will say like that's a perfect example
if you're if you're an automatic hater
you go back five to ten years and go
drive a hyundai or kia all their
automatics and what do we say to every
single one god these things are horrible
or like the cvt piles like oh man i
would never get one of these and then
just see the turnaround literally from
their first dcts and like the first gen
d cts that were blowing up and people
like these are horrible to what they did
in the new cars to convert you over to
being like i would rather have the dct
that's how good it is that's a huge step
forward um and obviously the future cars
we're not even gonna be well i guess
porsche has a multi-speed uh ev but who
knows if they're gonna do that like all
these car companies i and i think too
like certain vehicles
like the gt3 so we're
we're doing another gt3 video this
summer
big big shock there but it'll be more
digestible and artsy and fun
and you know the our rep is a coat
doesn't matter i'm like i don't care
what your box is in that car it's
amazing that's a good point when you
literally could not care what what
gearbox is in the car because the car is
so good the engine regardless of what it
is
you can't lose with certain cars yeah
there are still some really shitty
automatics out there yes there are but
there are some bad automatics if you buy
an automatic you can still go to heaven
daniel uh stephen thompson for five
dollars thoughts on the previous gen g80
v8 it seems like a great use value in
the mid 30s
yeah and i i was gonna buy a g80 v8 um
and that engine like there wasn't a lot
of good and i didn't to be fair i didn't
know a hyundai uh hyundai mechanic at
that time so i was really nervous about
it but i think the only thing from my
research back then was
certain engines had a shitload of oil
consumption issues like oil consumption
was the biggest what else would you buy
used in that price range the luxury suv
uh the uh
the v8 pile and the gs the gsf gsf is
not 30 grand oh it's got to be 30 in the
mid 30s oh god there's not much not with
a v8 like you'd have to go to like old
like legacy yeah that's hard to pick but
just saying regular what would you buy
use as a luxury sedan on that price did
you get a gs or an es on that price
range i'd personally i get an es i know
that's that's like boring as hell but it
does it's so well
to get a used es in this generation is
going to be impossible for 30 000 so
that would lead you back into the old gs
with a v6
the previous gs and then probably an old
ls500 you could probably find an old
ls500 for maybe 40. yeah that thing
would be amazing yeah just above the
boat i mean that that's a tough one man
that's not a lot of money to work with
if you want luxury yeah purely if you
want a luxury car right there's a lot of
great options in the 30s oh yeah yeah
you always buy a used five series with a
long ass warranty yeah that that's true
you'd have to i think so people ask this
a lot i've seen a lot of questions like
what extended warranty would you buy
and i've had to do a lot of research
because i was doing this when i bought
the x7 used because bmw doesn't do their
own aftermarket warranties so um
the one of the best aftermarket
warranties is fidelity right now so if
you're if you're looking to get a used
car and you're looking for an
aftermarket warranty fidelity is really
safe and they're fair if you sell the
car and you get your money back and all
that so
that's just a tip for you
uh all right back to the questions and
this one made me smile earlier
robert patrick has assured that you can
get girl drink drunk
have yourself a round of chocolate chew
chews on me
i currently have decently optioned 718
no lsd or ptv but i enjoy driving it is
a gts 4 liter really worth the upgrade
i'd see track days and road trips
it would see track days and road trips
absolutely the 4 liter is amazing
yeah it is
yeah i'll i'll leave it at that it's a
special car i mean it's not the the old
you know
it's not
gt4 rs
but the 4-liter i mean it's it's got its
roots that they're all very have
similarities to it so that's a
no-brainer if you're going from the four
popper yeah to the flat six yeah and you
don't care that you're gonna have a lot
of money
absolutely worth the money get it as a
manual too that's a car i think yeah
it's not it's not fast enough yeah and
the the pdk and the for the the non ar
or the non gt products are slightly
different the way that they're tuned
they're not as juicy i'll just put it
that way
uh gregory ames no arby's oh thank you
gregory for the five dollars no arby's
tonight thoughts on the audi e-tron well
we're getting an e-tron press car so you
can uh
feel free to wait for that i guess in
the market for a family hauler hate the
model y waiting to see a pulse r3 price
range
yeah you know i'm i've after seeing all
the volvo stuff it's like i i'm really
pulling for them to to fix their cars
with the ev part of it but it's so hard
because you know it's not like
they're gonna take probably two more
generations to get evs that are just
like amazing and they're they're close
now but
i i'm looking forward to seeing their
cars in 2030 and let's just put it that
way i'm going to answer about six more
questions and tell your story then i'll
go back to answering questions
yeah uh motive engineering for two
dollars still planning on a c606 video
if you're tuning in i have spoken to the
small block team who designed the ls7
and we are getting a c606 2009
next week from a very very kind viewer
named dan can you explain a little bit
like about your call just so people
understand yeah sue i worked i had a
call with probably five or six members
senior members of the gm small block
team
so the way gm works obviously you have
your individual engineering teams for
different products then you have your
product line engineers as well chief
engineers blah blah blah i spoke to some
of the gentlemen who have worked for gm
for like 30 years and this specific team
designed the ls7 and the new lt6 they've
worked on basically every iteration of
v8 you can think of from last 20 years
there were five of them it was a pretty
just normal conversation more
they let me ask some difficult questions
about lifters and all that other
nonsense and you know valve train issues
but as well they explained what their
process was to design the ls7 what the
leadership wanted what the corvette team
wanted and they walked through why they
loved that motor so much still and how
did you what was your impression of
talking to them like did you feel that
they were still passionate that they
watched to talk about it after this long
they um
it's a corny phrase but i think after
meeting more and more gm engineers and
i'm going to say this about gm here in a
second next too but um
they said that they they basically do
the sports car stuff for free oh really
that's what it is that's that's that's
how they treat their job so like they
know they're there to design v8s for
tahoe and silverado and all other
nonsense but
they'll work on the uh sports car
products like the ls7 after hours
because they want to because that's
that's like what they're passionate
about they're not just doing like a
cookie cutter you know the car the motor
is badass have you ever if you've ever
heard an ls7 as you're about to drive
one and i will too i'm really excited
because that motor
i don't think a lot of gm v8s have a lot
of character that commodore has a donut
i'll be interested to drive it like i
like i say this all the time like i
don't really get excited until i'm
actually driving it and you'll catch me
like caught off guard where i'm like oh
my god this is actually amazing and it's
pretty genuine
uh
bradley berry thank you so much for the
fifty dollars thank you and thank you to
everybody who's donating to ask a
question and i'm trying to answer
regular questions as well
um
barry
sorry bradley uh said i just wanted to
say thank you guys for the amazing
content you guys are hands down the best
review channel out there well thank you
uh bernie mac for five dollars it's nice
to see that you're you're back from the
dead yeah yeah thanks bernie
no question just one event that i
absolutely hate the amazon alexa
commercial for the buick enclave thanks
guys that'll lead me back to my gm thing
so gm has three divisions in my mind
that i've spoken to or
three three levels of teams you have the
truck team which have unlimited
resources and limited money and trucks
are hard to debate whether they're good
or not because everybody has their own
opinions it's like religions you have
the sports car team who make things like
the zl1 the corvette and like the black
wing those guys make amazing cars and
then you have the shitbox gm products
like the tracks yeah the encores of the
world it's like the b team stuff the b
team stuff that's
uh blazer equinox all that crap
that's one of those products the encore
okay yeah i mean i i i would agree with
you i think doing this more you have an
enclave sorry i wouldn't say a better
respect but you understand that like
okay you're not gonna put your senior
level people on cars that are just like
they out right they're just trying
to fill that hole and we we i was
talking about this with bmw
like why do you have an x one two three
four five six seven eight and nine and
it's like they're literally just trying
to plug holes so they have that in
between well our customers want this we
don't have it so we got to fill the gap
and like how is that cost effective but
it's also a way for engineers to cut
their teeth on like products that are
far less important
so the the young workforce can come in
screw that up and then actually work on
a product that matters so some of it is
that too
all right and two more and then we'll
tell your story okay real stories
for ten dollars thank you
uh some of the elantra and models are
broken from the dealership missing a
pedal
huh
with time the six speed will be more
sought after than the dct enjoy your
automatic
suckers you're probably not wrong your
launch ran as a manual be worth more
money
that's i mean that's the reality of
manual cars in general i mean
so you just don't get me wrong i i don't
want to on the automatic stuff
because certain people cannot drive
manual that that's totally fine my point
is that automatics have gotten so good
that in some cases like you really can
still get that much enjoyment there's
not it's not a dirty word however
because there's so little manuals and so
it's harder to find them in terms of a
long-term investment if you can drive a
manual you're almost better off doing
that because when you go to flip it i
mean you're certain cars of course it's
gonna be gone you're gonna have like 10
offers on it in two days like oh my god
i can't find this as long as you take
good care of it um it's always going to
be easy to sell
that's the truth right all i mean like
c7 is a good example i keep looking at
prices because i don't know what to do
with my car if i get what i'm trying to
get
um the automatics are worthless in
comparison to the manual yeah old
porsches are that way no one wants a
manual i mean a pdk
not nobody but less people want the the
manual gt car i mean the automatic gt
cars uh torledge thank you for your five
dollars thank yous morgan s thank you
for your fifty dollars oh
what are we doing here what are we what
he's asking about the chevy spark mark
oh is he yeah for 50 bucks he's asking
about the chevy smart don't worry i'm
ready mentally for this one uh would you
guys consider reviewing a chevy spark
the cheapest new car in the u.s doesn't
seem like doesn't seem to be a total
pile and it's getting discontinued in
august
the chances of us actually getting a
spark from from gm why they would even
spend the money the 600 plus dollars to
have it
glowed out when they're killing it off i
mean i honestly uh a friend
wanted to get one i did a test drive and
one of them and i was biting my tongue
the whole time i was in it and by the
end of the test drive i'm like
it wasn't it's bad how cheap is it
well what they wanted to sell it for was
like 25 000 they had they were like
trying to mark it up what yeah because
there was it was hard to find at that
time there wasn't a lot of them but i
mean i think the base prices
don't quote me but somewhere around like
16.
i think i think 16 grand for a new car
16 18 probably whatever i don't know i
could be totally wrong but i know it's
cheap and it really other than knowing
that it was like kind of a box and
you remove yourself of it it was
actually good to drive
it was not bad to drive it's not mini
cooper like you get a mini coop you're
like holy this thing's way better
for like a micro car but
i don't know if you're on a tight budget
you need a small car
not the end of the world someone says
it's starting thirteen thousand six
hundred dollars okay so by the time you
probably get one option with a couple
things that's like 14 or 15 grand they
wanted 25 grand yeah because this that
was like a weird color combination and
like it there was none in like a 400
mile range
like like a geography what a deal
all right last one before your story
that's dealerships man forgetful foot
for five dollars thank you can't wait to
see you guys do a 987 or 987.2 cayman
boxster video well as i mentioned
earlier we are doing one all right mark
tell your story uh so i wanted to go up
the beaten path a little bit jeff all
right tell me about it you know i think
about these these live streams and
people come here to watch and listen to
us about car stuff
um but after a while you get a little
bit uh tone deaf about things that are
going you're talking i'm gonna grab my
bottle yeah this guy's talking out on
this one yeah i'm just gonna leave um
i i kind of wanted to say this as like a
positive thing
because i think at least in the united
states and a lot of people like message
us like what the going on with
your country and all that and i don't
want to get in any of the politics of it
um
but i think there's a lot of people that
are not doing well right now with
everything going on and
i i see it i see things on both i try to
like it's part of doing these videos
right you have to connect with a lot of
people i can't just go out and trash
something because somebody might
actually really like that um and it's
hard to balance that so you have to you
have to watch and be
uh no it's not just careful it's it's
appreciate the fact that other people do
not share the same mindset or feelings
as you do so it's kind of trying to
understand both sides and it makes you
better at talking about things and
understanding
um
so
i saw something recently that somebody
had sent me on instagram dms
and it was like a personal question like
what do you think about it and i think i
talked to you about this it was uh
donald trump jr
talking about like all he does is post
memes on his instagram profile and i've
never seen it before but it was all like
basically baiting like teasing the
monkeys i thought you know with this
much power why would you want to like
make people feel even more uncomfortable
even know if you didn't do it and that
very night
it was just on hulu chelsea handler took
over uh what's his name jimmy kimmel
show
holy it was just the opposite it
was like taking a piss on the other side
like these two polar extremes people
that have
huge voices
huge voices like you're talking to
millions of people and you all you want
to do
is put a wedge between people and
it made me think about like how could
you do this better like how do you find
a middle ground where you're not just
pissing people off all the time
trying to bring people together more and
like it made me think about my own self
like the i did when i was younger
like i didn't give a i didn't think
about that the fact that you could say
something it can really bother people or
hurt people's feelings and you you
divide like the group and it's like a
inner circle of fighting and that's what
the internet's become and
i i don't know if it's age but i'm i i
thought about what we're doing how do we
bring how do you even though this is
cars i mean cars and technology it's
like the seemingly most meaningless
thing but there's clearly people here
there's people that are interested in
not only car opinions but other stuff
there's companies we work with who
value and respect some of your opinions
how do you get everybody together where
you're like trying to
to learn from them
learn your stories hear your side of
while also trying to balance out
our side and not be hyper biased and
bring people together and i wish there
was
and again it goes back to these
questions that i get people are looking
for community i think yeah
you know a lot of people find community
there was a interview that i listened to
recently there's a guy he works for the
daily show it was
the comedian's name he was talking about
going to all these uh like very far
right um
the growlies for our former president
and one of the things he said regardless
if i agree with him or not i'm not
trying to get political on this but
these people are looking for community
just like people on the far left look
for community and hopefully
by doing car stuff or technology people
can find a community in a more
constructive way versus
now you can like you can be on either
political spectrum yeah yeah and like
cars and technology and that'll be your
common ground because if you find common
ground with someone right you're more
likely to
uh
hopefully view them as a human being
versus you see something else yeah and
that's kind of what i was getting at is
there's there's a level of humanity that
i feel like is being lost right now and
all this and even people with a lot
of power
and a lot of like influence and there
there's some really really insanely
smart people and i know you know this
and it it's whether you agree or
disagree i think certain people
that have this power don't know
the the actual effect
or the power they wield and they don't
know when to shut their mouth like
literally don't know when they've
crossed the line where not only are they
alienating other people but they're also
like hurting them like hurting
everybody that's in this community by
like driving a wedge and i need
personally that that's what this is
about i want to try to do a better job
of being more accessible
to to teach people and not like make it
like not posting or all
over somebody because i don't agree with
it and i've done a bad job with certain
cars and certain topics that we discover
and i don't want it to come across like
i don't care like i i'm not the i'm not
a pretentious person i do expect the
level of quality of course i have high
expectations that people actually do the
work and put the effort in with a lot of
the stuff um but i don't want to be like
being divisive i will bring up i like
that there's a nice like angle of just
some of our crotches in this and this oh
yeah yeah i mean it's huge
and part of this is just like trying to
trying to we got to get more sponsors
this whole pitch is to get more really
what my point was is i need sponsorship
money to get inflated down there and uh
i need to turn back the clock 20 years
so i can connect with the new
demographic that i'm losing out by on by
aging out jack that's what this really
was about okay good i mean i've been
working hard on our rogaine sponsorship
so what so the question is then game of
thrones conversation is how do you
do stuff and even in your own lives how
do you connect like either at work or
relationships how do you hear
and listen to alternating opinions and
the automatic transmission versus manual
one is a really good debate because
there's a lot of people that like hate
this discussion because it's like
pitting two groups of enthusiasts
against each other because the the
manual crowd like the save the manuals
thing gets real pretentious about oh god
if you drive an automatic you're a piece
of or that that line from the boys
did you see that the guy's like
did your brain
did your stupid brain the id or did
or you did your idiot brain the
stupid part of it or something like just
derogatory that's what people hear when
you talk about automatics in a bad way
so like how do you do a better job of
like trying to just don't speak down to
people about it or just don't talk about
it yeah ignore it and get back to the
car questions perfect all right let's go
back to the car questions mark
oh crap
all right perfect uh
mergle do
for ten dollars thank you mergle do i am
trading in my lexus and it's been
difficult
no one has cars to test drive gut
feeling on these is a d as a daily
driver gr86 mx5 civic hatch
i don't know sorry coupe is it a coupe
no there isn't a coop
oh
anyway
of these cars the gr86 civic hatching
mx-5 what would you
buy as a daily driver what are your
thoughts
mx5
is it daily
isn't that the answer to everything oh
no it's not in this car yeah oh come on
that's what everybody said xbox the most
fun gr86 is in between the civic's the
least exciting but the most usable i
mean but what if you can't test drive it
how do you make that decision
isn't that asking us yeah okay
do you agree with that the civic is the
most usable but probably the least fun
yeah no you're right
yeah mx5 is the best recur if you need
an everyday car then i would just go
right to the gr86 or the civic and good
luck finding one yeah that's it's
vaporware at this point yeah it's 4 20
today by the way it's it's uh april
april 20th so the date no anyway if
you're watching this in rel relation to
the current time frame we're in yeah
it's i'm sorry it sucks but yeah the
gr86 is gonna give you the most fun for
usability bromated vegetable oil for 20
that's an amazing name
i'm surprised that's not copyrighted uh
thank you gentlemen for bringing sexy
back to youtube car reviews oh god
always happy to support any news or
rumblings on subaru having a
solution coming to their supply issues
nope
no man that's not happening anytime soon
i think everything that we've heard now
from like uh manufacturers is it's like
in the next year yeah middle of now
middle of 2023 for it to normalize
that's assuming nothing else happens
um
scenery thank you for the ten dollars
sagan thank you for the ten dollars
uh lucia de la malta thank you for the
10 canadian dollars does it make sense
to sell gt350 in the current market or
would you guys hold on to it longer
she's my baby but i'm
injured and can rarely drive her anymore
oh that's tough
if you have an emotional connection in
the car then don't sell it i mean unless
you can't get back into it and drive it
again i mean if it's a permanent problem
that you're not going to be able to
enjoy it anymore that's a hard that's a
hard thing to tell somebody to keep it
because it's also a reminder yeah in the
garage oh hey hey you buddy you
can't drive me if you can drive it again
one day and it's within a reasonable
time frame of a couple months
you know the problem if you sell it is
what are you gonna buy yeah that's a
that's the biggest problem right now
right i mean
uh you know you you can get rid of
something but
oh it's like the housing thing too you
could sell something right now you can
sell your house and make a ton of money
and they're like oh now i'm gonna
get bent over on the next one so it's
kind of like the longer you can hold out
and see if you can drive it i would i
would keep that car too louie thank you
for the five dollars hello from
schaumburg this is my favorite channel
what happened to tarbowski thanks guys
so tarbowsky is still working
uh i as far as i know he's working as a
mechanic
um
i i have been in recent communication
with him mostly on text and it's you
know i mean like
uh that that's about it honestly i mean
he's got busy yeah he's got his life i
got my own and you know he's got his job
and this has become a job that
um i think somebody was asking about
this before and i think i told him on
patreon like the reality is is scott
you know his mentality of cars and his
interest in cars has died off a lot he
does not like a lot of the direction
that the stuff is gone
don't blame them at all i mean honestly
there's no interest in it it's no
interest and it's hard to get excited
about stuff that all you do is work on
it and then you see the future of like
oh my god if i'm gonna be doing this job
in 10 years i can't wait to deal with
the next so if i bring a new car
and he's not interested in it and i'm
making a lot of excuses long story short
is you know scott
scott and i how we started this and how
this evolved isn't the same way that we
started it and that's just that's just
it but every every as far as i know
everything's going good with scott see
neri thank you for the five dollars
uh
chick three n564
gave us
5.69
here's one gallon of gas from northern
virginia thank you sir that's
what's that going to get us will that
get us a gallon i think i'll get us a
gallon out here
yeah what's the premium now i just put i
put regular in the
pile that i'm driving in your ferrari in
my ferrari i can't afford it you put
leaded yeah i put it in my f8 tribunal
i went to walmart and got regular oh man
um i think it's a little over five
something for regular out here five it's
like 550 oh that that's right i thought
i thought you were saying premium is
five premiums like over six i think oh
my god it's that much
oh yeah six that's what i was thinking
okay six it's six like 50 for premium
and then uh woodman's was five dollars
for regular
um
hazel green thank you for the 20
jordan estevo for five dollars
og
n
55 m2 sports car yes or no you never
drove that original m2 did you
you only drove the comp
yeah i didn't drove the original one two
the first one was a comp i might have
driven it at the mama event they might
have had an m2 out there it's a good car
man uh
too
fast that's too fast i always thought
as well i mean i got it right this time
yeah that's too fast had one it got
totaled recently he had oh no it was
just the one car i'm thinking of
somebody else no he had the uh he had
the ctr then oh that's right this guy's
like he's just trying to get out of
these cars and following yeah he
purposely street parks them or something
no yeah he pokes them in the middle of a
highway like oh man this guy can't
believe this guy t-boned me
uh no yeah that poor pass if he bought a
ctr i think he had it for a couple weeks
and i think he got rear-ended i'm
surprised he got a ctr
yeah anyway uh he loved it and uh
yeah we're talking about a guy that
nobody knows who the hell we're talking
about tom thomas from uh
yeah throttle throttle host yeah he has
one as well and he loves it allegedly
so people were asking about what you
think of throttle house
they're
uh i talked to james
somewhat regularly at like three in the
morning three in the morning i'm like
send me pics of your shins
um
they're uh karsten is extraordinarily
talented
given like how how quickly he has to
film some of this i'm really
impressed by them they seem like nice
guys
what are your opinions you hate them oh
well considering my my bone-headed
conversation earlier i'm going to drive
a wedge these guys are pieces of
don't come to america
okay too many commitments in my country
you're going to bring your all your
talent here i'll show you talent
um
on w uh for five dollars hey guys what
are your thoughts on motorcycles as a
hobby i recently got a yamaha
access yamaha
xs rs 700 and absolutely loving it
i love bikes
god that would you is that the bot
answer yeah hey i love i love bikes i
used to be an adventurer
let me check your code real quick okay i
just adjusted motorcycles i've had like
four four four bikes i still have my
street triple r i love bikes you're just
out here
i'm gonna get run over by somebody and
there's nowhere to ride
unless you want to ride in a straight
line there are a lot of npcs out here a
lot of npcs
so i'm going to go back i'm going to
recover my conversation that i kind of
botched earlier i didn't have a full
thought so that's conversation about the
sienna that i started talking about i
came out of the drive-thru at walgreens
with my dad and
it's just one way out
you know all you can do is go forward
and then it cuts over to like a stop
sign and i'm like go to the right and
there's a car coming the other way so
we're like this and then there's a guy
behind this guy in my lane right in
front of me so i'm like i stopped there
because clearly this guy doesn't
understand that it's a two-lane road and
he looks at me and pulls up and rolls
down his window and is swearing at me he
literally is going off the deep end at
me because he thought i was going the
wrong way
even though i just came out of the
drive-through which there's a sign there
for that
and i'm thinking to myself this guy is
completely
ir i mean he's got to get a 10. he's out
of 10 and he's in the wrong and he
doesn't even know it i'm sitting here
thinking my first reaction was like
like i was actually in an okay mood but
if i was at the wrong place in time i
probably would have created a
provocative situation like sean connery
and i thought to myself like why is this
guy getting so amped up when he's so
wrong
and
i'm like i guess
some part of me wanted to escalate that
i wanted to like i really wanted to roll
down the window and be like
just
just go off and then and i'm like my
dad's in the car i'm like because you
were driving a minivan you watched
unhinged yeah that's true you're in a
sienna like russell crowe i mean i don't
think it would i thought like 100
because i was in a minivan this guy
would have just been like just okay this
guy's got no life i'm not even gonna
yell at him
um and there was something else that
happened right after that it just it's
the instantaneous anger of people on the
road even when they're in not like it's
questionable that they shouldn't be
angry about it but why is like always
the first reaction anger
like i mean i think it's just a base
human reaction when people get scared or
they get bothered in any way they go to
attend for no reason did we talk
about we i know i brought it up last
time this last video about carton arcs
okay so greg my buddy greg he posted on
our one of our chat things about carton
arcs and it's this dude who goes in
parking lots and looks for people that
left their cart just look it up on
youtube if you haven't seen it
this dude goes to parking lots with like
a wand and like a vest and he looks for
people that literally do not put their
cards back in the cart corral or
whatever you want to call it the cart
storage leave it right next to their car
because they're so lazy and then he
calls them out on the fact that they
left their card out and i mean obviously
he only posts the most
you know ridiculous ones where people go
off on them but it's unbelievable to me
that you could go through all these
videos and see how angry people get one
of the comments said someone one of the
videos he got a gun pulled on them i
didn't see that one i i know nothing
about what you're talking about okay but
the immediate reaction is yes he's
poking the bear which i get right that's
the only way he'd have views on the
internet if he was poking the bear but
the fundamental principle is
if you're approached by somebody in a
parking lot that says hey can you return
your cart i'm gonna put a magnet on your
car saying that you're a lazy bones he
calls people lazy bones it's stupid um
and it's like he's trying to tell them
by you leaving the cart here somebody
can't park here or you can damage
somebody else's property that's that's
the overwhelming thing other than
telling people they're lazy for not
returning the cards and these people
they do not unders like they literally
cannot process that thought of a lot of
the excuses are i pay people i pay to
shop here they should move the cart
forward i was i was talking to alex my
buddy alex about this and nothing new
carton arts but he was saying like one
of the societal tests that you're a good
person or not is you put away your
shopping cart because you aren't you
aren't incentivized to put back your
shopping cart but you're doing it to be
a good
just to be a responsible human being and
people who don't do that or but these
the the people that are freaking out
obviously are being pushed to the limit
right they're they're like being pushed
to have this reaction more
idiots to begin with but to the again
it's about the de-escalation you have
that choice of like this guy's nuts he's
actually standing out here with a wand
and a vest to get me to return my cart
out of just out of the pure funniness of
it i'm gonna return my cart and like
de-escalate it and laugh and then he
doesn't have any content but the people
that will literally chase him or create
like calling the cops or going into the
store to complain to the manager that
somebody asked them to put their card
away it's that
i i don't think they look at the
property part like you and i think the
cart is going to damage a car right just
the property damage part is enough alone
to do that but okay you rule that out
you don't care about other people's
property what would be the incentive to
get somebody to return their car in some
airports they give you like a penny or
something but wait i mean the little
trolleys
do people are
it's weird like again it's about the car
part like this dude freaking out about
me and even though he was in the wrong
way but he was yelling at me like it's
the same mentality with people in cars
do you think cars embolden people to
become more like i think people forget
it's like the cars are kind of like the
internet yeah or in that there's a
community who said this it's like you
know if you were if you were in line at
the store and somebody cut you off or
you were in an elevator and someone
bumped in front of you
you there's no way you would say what do
you you know what you would in a car you
want to like flip them off and scream at
them right that's true cars embolden
people and i think it's like the
internet right you think they they think
they can hide or be shielded by it it's
that's a good point like and that's some
of the stuff with the internet that's
become more prevalent and i thought
about this today on the way here because
i really screwed up my point earlier but
the the the thing with
um the internet in social media is
really interesting because it in the
past i would say when do you think
social media really was prevalent like
15 years in the past 15 years
realistically when it's become real
i think the last 10 years is where it's
just been supercharged okay so 10 years
you've created a fundamental new global
language like it really is a new
language for people they have to learn
how to not only interact without
interacting to your point like you could
not go into the office in a major job
and get away with saying half the
that we say on the internet you would be
without a job there's there's no
standard for internet like communication
for a lot of people and it's because
it's these two separate worlds i feel
like the car thing is very similar like
you couldn't go up to somebody in a
store to your point like if there was
some lady that like literally walked in
front of me i would have to have some
couth about coming up like ma'am you
just cut me off or a guy it doesn't
matter i'm not talking about i'm not it
could be anybody like you literally
stepped in front of me and took my spot
you know and that you'd have a normal
dialogue hopefully where the person
would be like oh go yourself i'm
gonna kill you i'm gonna kill your
family but on the internet or in the
cars people go from like normal human
beings to like pure ape like pure
silverback style and it's just the
psychology behind it fascinates me and
also why i was so triggered i was ready
to turn into an ape with my dad in the
car you know what i mean like why is it
so like because you're i don't know man
anyway back to questions mark
uh
oh one of them one of the non-paid
questions that came up like five times
is why are you okay with the challenger
scat pack or whatever the hell the v8
model is and not the kia stinger
because the scat pack
has a v8
and a zf transmission and double
wishbone suspension
uh no that's that's that's a fair
question the stinger
i i think fundamentally what bothers me
about the stinger and i know you will
probably agree because it's a korean car
is they took a really great platform
nerfed it and then tried to over market
the hell out of it into something that
it wasn't and then when you drive it
knowing that they were essentially
trying to copy a mercedes
audi bmw to try to become a german car
and then you drive it and realize it's
nothing like the german cars that it's
trying to be it's like a budget
rear-wheel drive car that doesn't have
the great dynamics and to be fair the
scat pack does not
either but the scat pack
makes noises it has a great automatic
transmission
or you can get it doesn't matter and a
real manual that's great and you can go
sideways
with no electronics hampering your
driving experience and if there it's a
real like muscle car feel whereas
the stinger is hyper confused that it
was trying to be something it was what
they were trying to do they were not
honest about that's why i don't like
it's not an honest card that doesn't
mean it's bad because like you can make
the same argument about like the audi s
whatever pile it is the copycat
someone's already answered your question
for you red wine is fine just said
because the stinger never won at
wrestlemania
[Laughter]
okay leave it at that
the the people the people on the
comments of people watching this are
infinitely smarter than we are combined
so now you need to pool your ai like all
your consciousness i'm gonna upload you
into the matrix yeah you can answer
these questions change your code and
i'll just be as smart as everybody on
here uh
alex t for five dollars is someone
planning to learn manual soon will the
civic si slash integra be the best daily
driver option of all things considered
probably
i mean i don't know about the integra
because of the cost excuse me i have a
business meeting i have to attend to
answer a couple questions look
i know you hate me already it's okay
i'll be back you're gonna meet your mic
this time no it's not i'm not actually
going to the toilet
um
gideon loveland thank you for your 10
donation
i'm going to circle back alex the
for the five people still watching
we did a comparison test with all of the
what's called affordable subcompact cars
while the si was probably my least
favorite out of the bunch from a purely
performance perspective
you get a lot of car for your money i
think it's like in the
mid-27s
and it comes with everything you could
possibly want as a daily driver it has a
good gear box
in between rev match
and the fact that the actual pedal box
and the shifter are great and relatively
easy to use should be a perfect car to
learn how to drive manual on and it's a
car that you will enjoy driving
um
gideon again thank you for the ten
dollars miss am for ten dollars thank
you guys for your work and please keep
producing and more instagram posts
please well mark and i are attempting to
step up our instagram game for what
that's worth so we are trying kevin
pearson for five dollars i'd love to
know who picks the music for transitions
in each video so the breakdown of work
um
i run the business out of this i deal
with trying to get cars all of the other
aspects of this and
we do some professional work as well
um and i do most of the filming day in
and day out for many of the regular cars
the bigger projects mark and i work on
together or if it's a project mark is
particularly passionate about and i
don't care mark will do it himself the
editing is all mark so uh the
transitions are him even though here and
there i have suggestions
um
hectica for five dollars uh
g20 m340i x drive or 2018 f 80 m3
assuming the m3 is only five grand more
m3 dude
yeah uh the m3 is probably a worse daily
driver the interior doesn't have all the
latest toys but the f-80 is a really
special car and
you you should not be afraid if you buy
the f don't buy the f-80 if you're
worried about putting miles on it
because the f-80 does have certain value
at this point in time and i'm sure as
you pile miles onto it the value will
plummet but that car is best used day in
and day out and then you get to enjoy
the fact that at any moment's notice you
can turn off your action control and go
sideways
uh hazel green thank you for the ten
dollars dylan for five dollars
mark anyone uh ever tell you you look
like maynard james keenan uh i will
answer that for mark we get that
question we used to get that comment all
the time and he looked like one of the
band members from tool mark and i find
that very entertaining uh my favorite
who you look like comment that i've
gotten from somebody somebody's discount
markiplier which i appreciate
um
kiefer snell for twenty dollars
did you guys plan out the matching
colored shirts mark we were asked if we
planned out our
oh my god dude
your that was your business meeting
oh yeah the sponsor deal i already took
half the money we made tonight and this
oh perfect i got you some curlies
and i got my new badge
[Laughter]
they uh we were asked for twenty dollars
if we planned out our matching fashion
no see mark doesn't have the pocket
protector that i have yeah this guy
always goes pockets and i'm like what
are you gonna put in that pocket more
muscle
that's all right a question
answered so so have a few curlies jack
uh no dude i'm going to try to uh
survive this
rv sauce how much arby saw should we put
on
you know somebody asked me the other day
could they get extra performance by
adding like diluting their oil and their
car with some rb sauce would give you
that extra traction or not traction but
extra
that like a friction modifier
i'm sorry he's ready for the comments
someone asked if you've been told that
uh you look like maynard keane from
tools no i've never heard no actually
i've heard that a lot it's because of my
dumb my bald ass head it didn't used to
be that way i looked at photos of mark i
looked at photos when i first met you
man you had a way stronger hairline back
then i know like when i was i think 30 i
still had a pretty strong hairline at 35
i mean
i mean my dms from women were probably
i'd get one every year back then and now
i don't get one for like 10 years so
it's clearly
my testosterone is too much for people
now uh i said then i told them that god
what was
uh one of the bands asian ben from gears
and gasoline said i looked like discount
markiplier the first time i met him
discipline who markiplier the youtube
guy the half asian like anyway he's he's
too young for you mark yeah what is he
like 25 i have no idea these guys you
know i don't i don't pay attention to
young kids these days they don't they
don't know anything and then someone
said i look like bird person from rick
and morty
which i appreciate
uh dude you're having a curly alright
what do you say take that big one dude
these things look like they came out of
a crematorium that's why they're good
you see that
look at this ah
and no
we're not cold well they got delivered
like 20 minutes ago anyway no we're not
sponsored by arby's okay so we're not
yet
that's horrible what
it's like soggy
packing peanut covered in like garlic
and
what you don't eat i'm shipping back
your birthday present for next year
i'm sure it'll look the same
they'll probably eat it out of the box
um oh wait wait a second i gotta go back
to answering these quick look at that
oh my god look at the art they did on
the top here with the whipped cream and
the
uh whatever fake chocolate sauce it is
that's that's more impressive than my
cappuccino this morning
um hazel green for ten dollars
2008 porsche cayman s
tiptronic versus
2010 nissan 370z manual what are your
thoughts is used car purchase
what do you start tommy
tayman from 2008
good going chief um and a
versus a 2010 um
nissan 370z
i'd probably go 370z i know that's
sacrilege but
i think you're going to get you can get
a lot more into it and a lot more out of
it just by tinkering around if that's
what you want to do if you're going to
leave it alone then cayman
i hate the 370z
like i mean people now from
but he's probably not wrong the
tiptronic part i can't remember if the
2008 was a pdk car or not i think the
dot 2 was the first pdk
um
i wouldn't get a cayman as an automatic
man if you manual came in versus
um
370z
i would probably get the game i can't
believe you do this you have a family to
worry about
they're up
they all left me
oh yeah they left me
i i was trying to poison them with my
arby's and god you know i ordered this
as like the usual joke and this is
actually not your dinner and now i'm
like i feel bad i'm like i don't want it
to go to waste and it's like choking it
down every last bite even though i'm
secretly enjoying it
um
all right back to the questions
uh rick ricky s thank you for the ten
dollars you guys are amazing are the
shirts sold on
redbubble globally legit the merch store
on your site links to car supply
warehouse instead so we have two merch
locations car suppliers warehouses the
higher end shirts that a portion of all
of our profits what zero profit actually
exists um
what little profit there is goes to
charity
um and then redbubble is something we
made a long time ago so if you want a
shirt right away go to redbubble
uh we'll sooner or later um order
another batch of t-shirts to go to
carson boy yeah red red bubble is you
know it is legit it is legit i did
create it and like what the actual
margin is like a joke it's like
i think by the time you convert it from
australia because it's australian you
convert from australian dollars to us
dollars that's like
a dollar eighty a shirt in terms of
margin i mean i don't make it i just
upload the design
um but the quality of the shirts
is questionable it's questionable some
are good some are terrible yeah
um
puzzle bunny for five dollars based upon
your feedback i bought a gti today base
version of course at my local dealership
in msrp now msrp no less love how it
feels thanks
congrats dude congrats on the new car i
think you'll really like it was that
auto or you didn't say either way
congrats on the new car man yeah enjoy
it um put new tires on it the all
seasons are not so great
oh yeah good point from us doing that
like it's amazing how that car responds
to sticky tires so you put some sticky
tires it gets it gets crazy how good it
is
the vaq front diff does a really good
job traction off by the way or whatever
stability whatever they call it in that
car administrator for twenty dollars i
can see a condom on the right side
corner of the couch
which count which
right side is your side but it might be
reversed on theirs
is there really a condom in here i have
no idea all right anyway moving i mean i
blew through a box last night oh yeah
man you're a busy man
i was just doing that that's my side
hustles i do inflation tests to make
sure there's no holes in them and i
repackage them
work hey you know you said you told me i
was technical i should have a technical
job uh jaya thank you for the five
dollars buzzy thank you for the two
dollars
first fun car purchase new mustang gt or
2009 911
do you want a warranty
do you not want a warranty first fun car
yeah oh mustang
you got to get that out of your system
man you got to fit you got to figure out
how to break the car and ruin it and
then you can go to the 911 that's kind
of a weird jump though
oh man i had a mustang now i got a 911.
uh i had a 15 so an s550 gt premium the
reason why i can go sideways well is
because of that car
[Music]
and i love the mustang still
it's a good driving tool even though
it's like not at the same time yeah it's
not a great driving tool but it is it's
not a card that you learn how to drive
smooth on i think that's the only
negative part
now that i'm done with this on w for for
five dollars
oh man
i'll take this off they got enough you
know like popeye tattoo on my uh they
promised i i basically i didn't tell you
i did a brand deal with that okay we're
getting 13
for five minutes yes
i can put three two gallons of gas oh
one gallon of gas if we split it no i'm
splitting it 75-25 because you're not
you've talked talk about that
i'm sorry
i'm going to live in a box now uh hon w
for five dollars uh fun car for mountain
driving 2019 toyota 86. uh should i sell
now
oh he lives in australia i saw these
prices and i'm like what the up
sorry hon w re-read your question fun
car for mountain driving 2019 toyota 86
should i sell now for 38 000 australian
and buy a new nd2 highest spec for about
50 000 australian
i live in australia
you're kidding
i don't know
okay would you go from a 20 1986 to an
nd2 yes
there you go
100 if it's a fun car you will have fun
in it i promise it's a good car
um making sure that our mics are still
good
perfect
all right
they think our our uh our mics are still
good i'll keep going
uh
let's do a shout out
who's the shout out to to me
i'm the best no
shout out to chris yeah chin face is
doing an excellent job all right chris
is our moderator you'll see him on uh
no next friday or no mondays next monday
the lyric video like how to like a lyric
video strap yourself in for the ride of
your life chris will be in it
it's incredible this is his second so he
broke the seal on the first well
actually he's been in he's only going to
be in cadillac videos though when he
speaks i'm making sure that he only
speaks in cadillac videos when i review
the nursing home edition cadillac he'll
be there
i don't think they'll ever have that
they won't these cars are
targeted towards a youthful demographic
like myself 65. what did they say the
lyric was for me yeah it's actually your
gym it's the one of the youngest ever
buying demographics the cadillac is 28
13
13 yeah all the tickets talk money
they're targeting tick tock money um
wallaby joe thank you for the twenty
dollars wallaby love your videos i think
you're the best on youtube for cars
the s2000 review was exceptional in
particular any chance we can get an e46
m3 cooper convertible review um i'd love
to do one
uh i'm made a mistake of not taking up
one of the owners earlier he then
proceeded to modify the e46 into
oblivion one day i will do an e46 m3
video and i promise it'll be amazing
yeah the thing with the e46 stuff is one
we're not going to be able to get any
support on it from like x people that
worked on it the one place uh eag is it
eag yeah yeah yeah eag um
even though that sadly the original
owner passed away his brother took over
i'd probably reach out to them and get
some support like they helped us for the
z4m video yeah i guess that would be
that would be a way to do support but we
wouldn't have manufacturer support on
nope zero
um
sean smith any news on the gr corolla
press drive date into august
uh thank you for the five dollars by the
way uh chris
well maybe
middle august sometime in august i'm
pretty sure it's the end august
by the way
to reiterate the the plan right now
barring any financial disaster is i buy
gr corolla he buys a ctr and then we
crash them into one another yeah we just
total them out be like all these cars
were just defective and then
have a question mark in the the
thumbnail where
i'm grabbing my head in your head and
i'm like sitting there on the phone
calling my insurance company in the tow
trucks in the background and i have six
million views and then i buy your family
i become the biggest mogul on the
internet um chris for seven dollars
canadian where is dj shrimp scampi i
thought we were going to be serenaded by
some nice artisanal beats well
i said this at the beginning of the live
stream if you're if you're too uh deaf
to hear it
uh
look he didn't make it
what more do you want from me dominic
for five dollars mark in your final
thoughts the alpha 4c you call it one of
the most fun rewarding cards you've
driven in years does that hold up today
yes
now mark was bought out by alfa romeo
they they gave they took him to his
favorite italian restaurant the olive
garden
yeah they they sent over their remember
that was the only time in the car show
that i just shook my head and was like
what the hell is happening they because
they're the only ones that had like the
models by their booth by the alpha cars
and i'm like the girls looked horribly
uncomfortable
like because you had all these sweaty
lonely journalists who finally saw
in in chin faces word words femoid
spotted
poor women no no
yeah anyway that regardless of that um
yeah it's a special car i mean it's it's
highly highly flawed
one of my one of the more entertaining
uh podcasts i've listened to had chris
harris talking about his launch program
of the four scene how he got thrown out
of it
because he made fun of the 4c for having
uh double wishbone front strut rear he
said it was like an rc car that you the
engineers didn't see humor and then they
kicked them out
it has really weird stuff i get i get it
i mean i understand it and the the
mindset was they
for what they tried to do with it there
was not enough room that's the packaging
same problem so i mean they just sit in
the front instead it's not a great car
objectively it's not particularly fast
in a straight line nor is it like a
lotus a lease or an exegen it's not as
good to drive as the lotus elites er
siege but you really do it's a wonder
what other carbon tub car can you even
name
that was in that price right it doesn't
exist
uh
a lemon 570s yeah right but you know
what i mean like there was something
very special about driving that you
couldn't put your your finger on
i think it was a lost opportunity not to
fully develop it but i'm sure they ran
out of money i would have loved to see a
manual on that car i could have used it
yeah i think so i've never actually
driven one so i'm probably the wrong
person i think you'd really like it if
you fit in it
you'd be like man this thing's horrible
but it's amazing
texas are for 28 dollars canadian thank
you for the 28 canadian i'm a field rep
for one of the oems in canada i
appreciate the hell out of the content
you put out sometimes the interviews and
materials you share are more insightful
than the content provided from any
head office
well i'm glad that's helpful for you uh
tech zara and
you know
i'm sorry that sometimes your head
office isn't the most helpful
i i don't know what it is again it goes
[100:00] back to the fact that some of the these
[100:02] questions that we ask are weird and like
[100:05] they're dungeons and dragon really
[100:06] and i know from the other side they're
[100:08] like why does anybody care about this
[100:10] the fact that we care about it and i
[100:12] know that there's a lot of people on
[100:14] here maybe not everybody but a lot of
[100:15] people actually like this information
[100:17] because they don't get it anywhere and
[100:18] it forces them to actually get it or
[100:20] they p these people get an appreciation
[100:22] about their car that they're interested
[100:23] in that they didn't think they would
[100:25] have like the the number of people from
[100:27] our 992 career i can't believe you're
[100:29] drinking than that it's so gross the
[100:31] number of people from our 992 career s
[100:33] video that bought 992 911s is amazing
[100:36] yeah the people have ridden dm me even
[100:38] put in comments that they bought them
[100:40] and that video is like 40 minutes long
[100:42] about every technical tidbits about that
[100:44] 911. yeah all the porsche bots that you
[100:46] bought to tell you how right you were
[100:48] yeah how many porsche bots did you buy i
[100:50] own thousands oh jack tell me more about
[100:52] porsche
[100:53] oh you're the best jack oh god
[100:56] all right moving on um
[100:59] daniel field mark are you
[101:02] tim paul without the beanie
[101:04] i don't even know who tim poole is i
[101:06] don't know who temple is either look it
[101:07] up on your phone mark you could find it
[101:08] i'm sorry i know this is where
[101:11] you know mark isn't cool i'm not cool
[101:14] all right let me look and i will tell
[101:15] you
[101:16] nx579 said uh donated five dollars or nx
[101:20] donated five dollars and seventy nine
[101:22] cents for one dozen cheddar bay biscuits
[101:24] mark for you oh my god i can't even eat
[101:26] that many
[101:27] what was it dude's name man
[101:30] i took tim bay because he said is it
[101:32] p-o-o-l yeah like the thing you swim oh
[101:34] he's american youtuber oh i'm liking him
[101:36] even more he's born in 86.
[101:39] okay that's that's positive he's
[101:42] all right i'll read his wikipedia thing
[101:44] is an american youtuber political
[101:46] commentator and podcast host who first
[101:49] became known for live streaming the 2011
[101:51] uh occupy wall street protest he joined
[101:54] vice media and fusion tv
[101:56] he's from chicago
[101:58] assuming we're talking about the same
[101:59] tim poole here
[102:01] so what's what what was the connection
[102:03] are you him without the beanie
[102:06] no tim poole is way more handsome than
[102:08] me i will show you a picture of him jack
[102:12] is he bald under there i have no idea
[102:14] all right moving on and now you got my
[102:17] curiosity mad two five three five two
[102:20] for five dollars
[102:21] should i move on for my land cruiser
[102:23] should i get a macan or lc 500 looking
[102:25] to take road trips not interested in
[102:27] track
[102:28] mcconnel or lc 500
[102:30] uh lc500 lc 500
[102:33] else era let me show you tim paul since
[102:35] we're talking about this dude
[102:36] guys got a more impressive beard than
[102:38] you i can't have facial hair dude it
[102:40] just i can't do it anyway
[102:42] uh
[102:43] oh uh
[102:45] his partner drives a gsf so lc 500 do
[102:48] you think the lc500 is too similar to
[102:50] the gsf they're very different
[102:53] they're very different they're totally
[102:54] i'll see 500 lc 500 all the way
[102:58] oh he's bald yeah there's a club of
[103:00] somebody with somebody or i'll show you
[103:01] that i'm sure you can't see it some dude
[103:03] actually ripped his beanie off and he's
[103:05] like over go touch my beanie that's what
[103:07] happens to me in public if you ever see
[103:08] me around wearing my alligator hat
[103:10] or my crocodile head or one of my animal
[103:12] hats that i wear we did a nice shout out
[103:14] to everyday driver in their anniversary
[103:15] video that hopefully they put up yeah
[103:17] when is that coming out no idea all i
[103:19] care about is what i said not anybody

[103:32] do you feel like the manual integra is
[103:33] more fun and engaging to drive than a
[103:35] base 2 liter tlx
[103:38] [Music]
[103:41] manual
[103:43] i would say it's more engaging that's
[103:45] the
[103:45] the integra
[103:46] you know the the the manual integra is
[103:49] more engaging the base tlx so the base
[103:51] tlx really it's just
[103:53] it's got a good suspension that's the
[103:54] way it is it's got a really good
[103:55] suspension but it's not like
[103:56] particularly engaging to drive it's more
[103:58] of like incompetent yeah
[104:01] you'll love the integra man if you like
[104:02] acura products which you clearly do
[104:04] you'll like the integra john mayer sent
[104:06] us something on uh we have a huge live
[104:08] stream we have to shoot for patreon so
[104:10] if you're a patreon on here we have like
[104:11] one to shoot separately that we'll put
[104:13] up on there'll be like four hours of us
[104:15] answering yeah there's like a jillion
[104:16] questions but somebody messaged me on
[104:18] there i want to answer this
[104:19] when do you think the car dealer model
[104:21] this is from john when do you think the
[104:22] car dealer model will finally kick the
[104:24] bucket it's obvious companies like ford
[104:26] are moving away from offering new
[104:27] vehicles to dealerships they've split
[104:29] out their ev products under a new
[104:30] subsidy area company to sell outside the
[104:33] dealerships it'll be thought in the
[104:34] courts there's so many dealer
[104:35] protections in states to states it'll be
[104:37] fought in courts the dealers can spend
[104:39] if the oems can spend more money than
[104:41] the dealers
[104:42] and they see the value in getting rid of
[104:44] their dealers they will because why
[104:45] wouldn't they they could control pricing
[104:46] they can control the profit stream
[104:48] it might hurt
[104:49] some people in that
[104:52] you won't be able to negotiate for
[104:53] certain vehicles you'll be entirely
[104:55] reliant you know maybe the average you
[104:58] know special deals if you're a savvy
[104:59] buyer will disappear but for regular
[105:01] people might help you
[105:03] you'll just be
[105:04] it'll be like buying a car
[105:06] well it's got the the the same problem
[105:09] right now it has the pluses and minuses
[105:11] on a bad market
[105:14] you can save a lot of money from
[105:15] dealerships on a good market you're
[105:17] gonna get bent over
[105:19] but one d one car manufacturers can lock
[105:22] in pricing
[105:24] that can be a really bad thing as well
[105:26] you could because they they potentially
[105:28] have a set price that there's no way
[105:30] around so if they want to mark something
[105:31] up or have it really expensive you're
[105:33] done
[105:34] now that's not to say that they can't
[105:36] have their own incentives with financing
[105:37] and all that that might make them
[105:39] stronger to be able to control the
[105:41] entire system where they will have their
[105:44] own financing different plans like how
[105:45] uh but was it volvo was the first one to
[105:48] do it where you could like have a
[105:49] subscription service i don't remember
[105:50] the first to do it but volvo was one of
[105:52] the first i remember that allowed you to
[105:54] do a subscription service where they
[105:55] cover insurance they pay a part of your
[105:58] payment is all of it and that that could
[106:00] be very appealing for somebody
[106:01] especially with
[106:03] well i don't know how that would work
[106:04] with a younger person i think they're
[106:05] pros and cons i know i can't remember
[106:09] who
[106:09] who said this but on average they think
[106:11] the average transit transaction price
[106:13] would drop two or three grand okay but i
[106:16] don't know if that's true or not because
[106:17] i think certain deals like
[106:18] when you bought your volvo your xc90 the
[106:21] first time around and when i bought my
[106:22] vet
[106:23] we got smoke and deals because we
[106:24] shopped around right so i think there's
[106:26] pros and cons but to be honest the
[106:28] answer is
[106:29] the the it has to change
[106:32] the
[106:32] dealership like structure is rooted in
[106:37] you know a long time we're talking
[106:39] 60 years or whatever it is with the
[106:41] franchising stuff it's actually longer
[106:43] that way that longer than that so you
[106:45] have an old system that predates the
[106:46] internet like we just talked about
[106:48] social media is really like
[106:51] probably 15 years old to be real about
[106:53] it mass adoption just in that time it's
[106:56] obliterated the concept and there's
[106:58] better ways to do it
[107:00] and it's going to take all these
[107:01] companies banding together to get it
[107:02] changed in the courts and like
[107:04] but it's i don't know what you do with
[107:06] all the dealerships you have because you
[107:08] know you have a lot of money these
[107:09] companies have a lot of money invested
[107:11] in their dealer networks and part of the
[107:12] dealer network is also the support
[107:14] network and they're usually operated
[107:16] separately um in terms of cost centers
[107:19] as well so it's not it's not something
[107:21] that's going to change overnight uh the
[107:23] big companies would have to like ford
[107:25] and gm and all them
[107:27] oh shout out to uh chin face again for
[107:29] uh modding out the million porn bots
[107:31] apparently oh there's a million porn box
[107:32] they keep popping up in our on our live
[107:34] oh cool yeah is that anything good
[107:37] it's probably just the same thing over
[107:38] and over again uh the and the other
[107:40] thing is i'll bring it up now because we
[107:43] do our best there's a bot that keeps
[107:44] saying message them on telegram that is
[107:46] obviously not us yeah we don't even use
[107:48] telegram so so please don't click on
[107:50] that we as they create accounts we try
[107:52] to delete them but
[107:54] youtube's fun
[107:55] uh all right back to the questions yeah
[107:56] if you get something saying you won
[107:58] something or you wanna you win nothing
[108:00] from us you guaranteed you didn't win
[108:02] anything and if you did want anything
[108:04] i'd be i'd already be standing in your
[108:05] window to your bedroom like looking in
[108:07] like
[108:11] um
[108:12] all right uh
[108:17] hopefully that answered your question
[108:18] that by the way uh i think you'll like
[108:20] the integra manual despite what the
[108:22] internet says it's more engaging to
[108:24] drive than the tlx
[108:26] uh buzzy for five dollars what's the
[108:27] best way to learn what type of
[108:29] what's the best way to learn what type
[108:32] of car we like i don't know what we like
[108:34] and not sure
[108:35] cost-effective way
[108:37] to learn i.e muscle versus german versus
[108:40] japanese
[108:41] that's a fair question it's like coming
[108:43] out of school and saying oh i want to be
[108:45] this and then you get in the job you're
[108:46] like oh it's experience
[108:49] and see time and accessibility it's what
[108:52] you have access to
[108:53] so i always say to people if you're into
[108:56] a certain car enthusiast car you got to
[108:57] get out there and do the work you've got
[108:59] to get out to auto crosses car meets
[109:01] meet people that have different cars
[109:03] have them take it worst case they won't
[109:04] let you drive the car get in and feel it
[109:06] out autocross is the best way to do it
[109:08] if you don't have a lot of if you don't
[109:09] have a ton of money or resources most
[109:11] autocross is going to friendly enough
[109:12] club you can ride yeah yeah like most of
[109:15] the flexible autocross team company not
[109:18] companies but groups will let you do
[109:20] ride-alongs that's a good way to really
[109:22] feel out to see you know is the car best
[109:24] does it handle well you'll talk to
[109:26] owners about it and get a better insight
[109:28] the the
[109:29] straight answer is you're not going to
[109:30] know until you drive these cars and
[109:32] experience that and sometimes with car
[109:33] ownership i tell this to check sometimes
[109:35] you just have to buy a car and own it to
[109:36] get get it out of your system be like
[109:38] this is not for me or you learn
[109:40] something about yourself that yes i like
[109:42] the style of car and i need to find
[109:43] something more like that
[109:45] so don't listen to anybody particularly
[109:48] let it be a guide
[109:49] but then make your own decision about
[109:51] what you really like
[109:53] uh jordan
[109:54] estevo thank you for the five dollars
[109:57] some stuff doesn't come across on camera
[109:59] like
[110:00] uh size road presence paint quality
[110:03] panel gap etc can you discuss without
[110:05] getting into subjective taste
[110:08] we've talked about the paint thing
[110:09] before like doing it with jason it's
[110:11] hard though yeah it is hard because a
[110:13] lot of the cars are up to begin
[110:15] with yeah so we're getting press cars
[110:16] and press cars uh well we're usually
[110:19] first to get them in our area but they
[110:20] already have like 2 500 miles on them
[110:22] which means they've probably been washed
[110:23] like
[110:24] 60 times
[110:26] so it's hard to tell overall paint
[110:28] quality
[110:29] you can see orange peel
[110:32] and
[110:34] if
[110:37] you can see panel gap obviously and i
[110:38] think a lot of these cars the only time
[110:40] i bring it up is when it's really out of
[110:42] spec there's like a level of like i
[110:45] brought up with tesla i brought it with
[110:46] ford ford's really bad like at least
[110:48] their their cars were my rear bumper and
[110:51] my hood were hilariously bad on
[110:53] my mustang yeah so like those types of
[110:56] cars the civic the thai bar that we had
[110:58] the i think it wasn't the yellow one
[111:01] did we have a matte one i don't remember
[111:02] what the one i was i was having that was
[111:04] the gray one the one that got the did
[111:06] the first update video on like the 2019
[111:08] oh yeah yeah was that a matte color or
[111:10] was it just silver i don't remember what
[111:11] it was
[111:13] no it was a regular color okay so anyway
[111:16] this the the last batch of ti bars that
[111:18] came out of swindon it was like they
[111:20] just didn't care they just like bolted
[111:22] up the panels to the car and they're
[111:23] just like send it horrible but yeah
[111:26] unless something's really bad i really
[111:28] don't go into it um because most cards
[111:30] are actually pretty good honestly
[111:32] kyle hernandez for ten dollars
[111:34] what percent of performance are the ct4
[111:39] v sorry ct4 ct5v
[111:43] non-blackwing cars compared to the
[111:44] blackwings like if you are never going
[111:46] to take them the track is there any
[111:48] reason i get the black wing
[111:50] yeah i get the black wing because
[111:51] they're
[111:52] i don't know v8s
[111:54] the ct5b is a good one you get a v8 they
[111:56] get
[111:57] i was going to say we're doing an m3
[111:59] all-wheel drive video coming up and my
[112:02] favorite performance sedan that i have
[112:04] driven in the last
[112:06] two or three years doing this is the
[112:08] ct5v blackwing that car is
[112:10] amazing you're also talking about an ass
[112:12] load of money
[112:13] and a lot of it's wasted you know i mean
[112:15] you're like you really have to if you're
[112:16] buying a ct5v you're already spending
[112:18] like 70 years how much is a regular ct4
[112:21] or ct5 without the v stuff yes
[112:23] specifically for the so there's the v
[112:25] and there's the black wing oh god gotcha
[112:27] oh i thought you said the regular ones
[112:29] okay well that's different
[112:30] i mean yeah i mean if you can even but
[112:32] the problem is you're not getting fined
[112:33] a black wing guaranteed it's going to be
[112:35] really hard to find one and that's not
[112:38] marked up
[112:39] so the ct5v blackwing is 51 000. before
[112:43] options so the
[112:45] the black sorry the ct5v
[112:47] non-black wing is 51 gram before options
[112:49] so figure probably like 60 grand with
[112:52] options okay it's 20 grand delta to get
[112:53] the black wing yeah that's a lot of
[112:55] money it is
[112:56] but you get as a street car the black
[112:58] wing is amazing other than fuel economy
[113:00] i don't know man
[113:01] i don't think you're going to find a
[113:02] black wing for msrp i just don't think
[113:05] it's possible so if that's the case and
[113:07] you cause when we were looking they were
[113:09] all 20 to 30 000 more um
[113:12] if you can get one for msrp you know
[113:14] you'll be able to flip it especially if
[113:15] you get a manual because it's gonna be
[113:17] so value part then yeah yeah monetarily
[113:20] i would bet you if you bought a black
[113:21] wing and you could get one at sticker
[113:23] your cost to own over four years would
[113:26] be less than the ct 5v regular because
[113:30] of depreciation
[113:31] because the block the regular v will
[113:33] depreciate probably like a rock
[113:35] and the blackwing manual won't move
[113:37] that's not saying there's anything wrong
[113:39] with it i guess you're looking at it
[113:40] from two different ways he asks because
[113:42] he's not gonna take it to the track
[113:44] if he wants it if you want a ct5v
[113:47] then just lease the thing
[113:49] just lease it and like i said before get
[113:51] it out of your system you know you'll
[113:52] know by the end of that two years was it
[113:54] good enough for you or drive both yeah
[113:56] and make yourself if you drive boat then
[113:57] you're not gonna want the regular
[113:59] that you know that's the truth of it
[114:01] it's uh johan thank you for your 3990
[114:04] myr
[114:06] i don't know what currency that is but
[114:07] thank you for your time thank you sir
[114:09] hey savages huge fan thanks
[114:12] for the truly insightful content have a
[114:14] question mainly directly directed to
[114:16] mark
[114:17] could you touch more about your vulva
[114:19] ownership would you recommend it in 2022
[114:28] uh so i i really
[114:30] liked my volvo
[114:32] i really liked it and i said this in the
[114:34] last live stream about the xc90 and i
[114:36] had a fully loaded r design i mean it
[114:38] had every option
[114:40] and it was one of the few cars that i
[114:42] had that i really didn't want to get rid
[114:44] of i really wanted that thing to work i
[114:46] wanted i didn't want to get rid of it i
[114:48] enjoyed it i love the interior i love
[114:50] the audio system like that interior
[114:52] space made up for a lot of deficiencies
[114:54] in terms it wasn't the best riding car
[114:56] it wasn't the most quietest on the road
[114:57] it definitely did not have the best
[114:58] drivetrain but it made up for it in a
[115:00] lot of the character on the inside and
[115:02] the outside the reason why i didn't you
[115:04] know you know one of the reasons why i
[115:06] don't recommend it is because
[115:08] they have far too many issues with their
[115:10] drivetrain now t5 is far less
[115:12] complicated but if you want to go to the
[115:13] upper trim level ones with the t6 or the
[115:16] recharge ones
[115:17] they're they're just
[115:18] you know that
[115:20] they didn't do enough like
[115:22] their their focus was not enough on like
[115:24] making these things reliable and
[115:26] therefore you know i know i've talked to
[115:29] people that said they haven't had many
[115:30] problems with theirs and then you talk
[115:32] to people like me where they have
[115:33] everything going wrong with it and
[115:36] that's why if you're going to get one
[115:37] you either have to lease it or you have
[115:38] a really long warranty and not only that
[115:40] you have to be prepared for just because
[115:42] you have a warranty doesn't mean that
[115:43] when the car goes in the shop one it's
[115:45] gonna get fixed two it's gonna get fixed
[115:47] in a timely manner and three shit's not
[115:49] gonna be back ordered for months and
[115:52] that becomes the other big issue so
[115:54] um
[115:56] if if you like it enough to do it go for
[115:58] it if you're worried about like it being
[116:00] in the shop or like taking forever to
[116:01] get fixed then i would stay away from it
[116:03] but i personally
[116:05] really liked the xc90
[116:07] it looked great it had an interesting
[116:09] looking interior
[116:11] it had a great audio system
[116:15] but compared to
[116:18] objectively compared to its competition
[116:22] today
[116:23] it's a weak offering it's old
[116:25] like that that generation that spa
[116:27] architecture that a lot of those cars
[116:28] are on is old
[116:30] that's why it doesn't compete in terms
[116:32] of ride quality chassis rigidity all the
[116:36] things like that the germans are good at
[116:37] when you get in an audi like a q5 or a
[116:39] q7 or a bmw x5 or an x7 it's like on
[116:42] another planet of like just it's on
[116:45] another level of engineering and just
[116:47] solidness and the dealers are weak and
[116:49] the volvo dealerships are really weak
[116:50] they're tiny that's not saying you have
[116:52] a bad experience but they're tiny
[116:53] relative and their resources are far
[116:55] less and there are less there's just not
[116:57] very many of them yeah but that's also
[116:58] the draw some people like that that
[117:00] that's one of the things i liked about
[117:01] this because it wasn't a generic it
[117:03] wasn't a total npc like luxury car it
[117:05] had some character to it and if you
[117:07] didn't see a million of them on the road
[117:09] there's a lot of them on the road but
[117:10] they're it's not like
[117:11] you know copy and paste x3x5 everywhere
[117:14] machine spirit miami thank you for the
[117:16] five dollars hope this helps keep the
[117:18] dream alive mark for us corporal slaves
[117:21] who have not yet escaped
[117:23] our corporal overlords do what they
[117:26] enjoy okay well
[117:30] let's see how long we can hold out
[117:31] before we come and join you and then
[117:33] open up a position so i can come in and
[117:35] just hit my head on the desk like oh man
[117:37] i really wanted back and after like a
[117:38] month was that character from office
[117:40] space what was his name who burned down
[117:41] the office melton milton are you gonna
[117:43] turn into a milton or they're just
[117:44] moving your place down well it wasn't no
[117:47] it was when he moved him to like the
[117:48] store yeah then he burped yeah because
[117:50] he already said he was going to burn the
[117:51] place down after he took a stapler
[117:53] uh
[117:54] bendy for 690. if you had to choose
[117:57] between a launcher and gr86 for 75 daily
[118:01] 25 track use for someone trying to learn
[118:04] car control what would you pick
[118:06] what are the car options the launcher
[118:08] and or gr86 r86 you're not going to
[118:10] learn much from the laundromat in terms
[118:12] of car control i mean it's a great car
[118:14] it's very it's very connected but
[118:17] it depends what you want to start with
[118:19] because driving front-wheel drive
[118:20] creates a bad habit it creates different
[118:24] habits and they don't translate well to
[118:26] rear-wheel drive like jack
[118:29] it's hard for jack to get in a
[118:30] front-wheel drive car like your brain
[118:32] doesn't work with it like it's harder to
[118:34] go that way like when i almost
[118:35] understeered off the road in that pile
[118:37] like you're i don't think your brain
[118:39] understands understeer as much as
[118:40] oversteer oversteer for me is really
[118:42] easy i'm just like yeah our brains are
[118:44] way different yeah yeah i mean i i feel
[118:46] like i understand both but i'm more
[118:48] afraid of oversteer because when things
[118:51] go wrong with that
[118:52] it can be almost sudden or like
[118:55] dangerous yeah but when it goes sideways
[118:56] for me i always laugh yeah yeah that's
[118:58] true so i don't know i would start with
[118:59] a rear wheel drive car because it's
[119:01] typically there's more fundamentals
[119:02] you're going to get from driving faster
[119:04] ignoring car control though elantra
[119:06] energy 86
[119:08] 86 still
[119:10] still because
[119:12] let's say what are you going to take
[119:13] from the elantra and and moving on to
[119:15] the next car from a sports car
[119:16] perspective that's like top dog
[119:18] front-wheel drive there's nothing else
[119:19] but like in front right purely from a
[119:20] fun perspective though i think the
[119:21] launch ran is as fun the elantra and is
[119:24] more fun than the 86 and it's
[119:27] i think better to drive in some ways
[119:29] than the 80s i think it's more hardcore
[119:31] to drive but you can take the lessons
[119:33] learned in the gr86 and move it into
[119:35] mustangs camaros porsches corvettes all
[119:39] the corvettes all the big boy rear wheel
[119:41] drive cars you can take all that and
[119:43] understand those cars and get
[119:44] comfortable in those whereas the
[119:45] launcher and you do what you do in the
[119:48] elantra and in a rear wheel drive car
[119:49] and you're gonna wind up in a pole yeah
[119:51] you know
[119:52] uh pan 46 for ten dollars hey guys i
[119:56] really appreciate your commitment to
[119:57] informative content
[119:59] what would you choose between a 718 gts
[120:02] four leader and a 992 career s both
[120:04] being manual
[120:06] oh we driven both
[120:07] did you like the the 911 the red carrera
[120:10] the one that i loved to pieces
[120:12] or the gts convertible four liter gts
[120:15] convertible four liter why
[120:17] because you feel connected driving that
[120:19] it instantly has a sense of nimbleness
[120:21] compared to the 911. the 911 feels like
[120:23] a gt car that's quick
[120:25] it's it's more like there's there's more
[120:28] disconnect in that car whereas you put
[120:30] the top down in the gts and it's
[120:31] lightning quick like it everything
[120:33] responds fast on the street you you feel
[120:36] like you're a part of that machine and
[120:37] that experience
[120:39] that's why i like it i like the longer
[120:40] wheelbase of the 911 because you want to
[120:42] slide a car exactly yeah he and i it's
[120:45] like the i
[120:48] someone who's
[120:49] trying to buy a certain 718 i really
[120:53] love those cars
[120:56] and i think i'd have to go to the gt4
[120:57] and maybe the gts 4 liter to not want to
[121:00] buy a carrera s but i think gun to my
[121:02] head if the price delta didn't matter
[121:05] because the carrera s with the manual is
[121:06] like 150 grand
[121:08] i would probably still get the career
[121:09] ass
[121:10] but you're right the gts i think it's
[121:12] about a driver's car
[121:13] like it's in the best way to do it is
[121:15] you take those cars back to back
[121:17] and you you
[121:18] if you like snappy quick light
[121:21] responsive cars versus like that over
[121:23] steering car if they're night and day in
[121:25] terms of modality it's very strange
[121:27] because they're very similar like you i
[121:29] mean well they're not similar but they
[121:30] are similar but the character is so much
[121:32] different so it really depends on the
[121:33] type of driver you are
[121:35] yeah they're both you can't go wrong
[121:36] with that i like going through it
[121:38] through a corner foot to the floor and
[121:40] having to do this
[121:41] to correct it quickly and having the car
[121:43] correct from a snap versus like where
[121:46] you put your foot through the floor and
[121:47] then
[121:48] the car's going sideways and you're like
[121:50] doing a full correction and it's not
[121:52] you're not getting a snappy like fix to
[121:54] it but that's the difference between the
[121:55] two cars that we like driving you like
[121:56] the s2000 because it's not a car that
[121:59] does big power oversteer i came from the
[122:01] mustang and now now that i figured out
[122:03] the c7 i can slide that car into my
[122:05] heart's content do ridiculously big
[122:07] slides but i like that yeah yeah so it
[122:10] depends on what you like but
[122:11] nimbleness-wise the gts yeah
[122:14] uh richer ricardo for ten dollars
[122:18] thoughts on the new kia
[122:19] forte gt with the gt2 or the dual clutch
[122:22] package is it the perfect daily driver
[122:25] my only worry is the transmission
[122:27] reliability
[122:28] i haven't driven it never either
[122:31] i mean if it's like the the traditional
[122:33] dct like is it the dct out of like the
[122:35] elantra pot like the entre end
[122:40] yeah i will ask for a forte gt
[122:43] with the dual clutch and i will do a
[122:45] video on one
[122:46] is it like a 1.6 or is it a 2 liter
[122:50] supreme car i don't know anything about
[122:51] it
[122:52] i mean it has the potential to be i'm
[122:54] sure very like the forte i had a rental
[122:56] car i was good
[122:58] that's not a good lead-in but oh man i
[123:00] had a rental car it was it wasn't a
[123:01] total piece of it was a turo though
[123:03] i turned on
[123:04] yeah it was fine i i had no problem with
[123:06] that car
[123:07] yeah i really like to see the thing that
[123:09] hyundai and kia does is they they still
[123:11] make small cars that are not horrible
[123:14] like and they don't have i said this
[123:15] before in other videos i'm sure you've
[123:16] seen it like you know when you don't
[123:19] have options for cars they could totally
[123:21] phone it in just to have something in
[123:22] like a gm and ford mentality where they
[123:24] just have to put it there just so they
[123:25] have something on their website and the
[123:27] the fortes and like the cheaper hyundai
[123:29] and kia cars don't feel or like they
[123:31] don't feel bad they feel like they were
[123:33] still designed
[123:34] um for somebody that doesn't have a
[123:35] budget and you don't feel bad driving it
[123:37] and they still drive well i mean you
[123:39] know
[123:40] are they as good as a modern civic now
[123:42] and all that and you know
[123:43] but they're way cheaper yeah the the
[123:46] value part of the cheap hyundai and kia
[123:49] products
[123:50] acknowledging the fact that they aren't
[123:51] ship boxes anymore they're really good
[123:53] cars
[123:54] it's a strong offering
[123:56] um
[123:58] i had a pretty big turnaround from the
[124:00] kona and i mean i don't i don't like the
[124:01] conan for what it is i think it's just
[124:04] stupid but a great car
[124:07] cuv thing is stupid but the laundry iron
[124:09] man like that that was like i always saw
[124:12] this marketing and just getting out
[124:14] there to drive it on track the way that
[124:16] like they kind of set it up it's amazing
[124:18] yeah it's just so special what they did
[124:20] and nobody else is doing that for that
[124:22] price anymore that's like how cars kind
[124:24] of used to be like and obviously there's
[124:26] no comparison but like you're talking
[124:28] about the crx the crx was kind of like
[124:30] the embodiment of the compact car that
[124:32] was fun to drive connected that you
[124:34] could use all the time that you felt
[124:36] something in the laundry and really
[124:37] sacrifices a lot of the things that make
[124:40] the other cars the gti boring and
[124:42] you get out there like i really really
[124:44] want to drive the elantra on like i
[124:47] really want to drive it and then i feel
[124:48] like i'm doing something i'm honestly
[124:49] going to try to get the dual clutch i
[124:51] thought about i'll do another video on
[124:53] yeah so we could drive yeah good point
[124:55] um
[124:57] i i wish and i'm going to try to get
[124:59] them to answer this question getting
[125:00] hyundai and kia to answer technical
[125:02] questions is sometimes it's basically
[125:04] impossible it's impossible because
[125:05] everything's not done nothing's done in
[125:07] the us
[125:08] nothing
[125:09] the product planning is done but that's
[125:11] like where do we put the mirrors where
[125:12] do we put the cup holders you know what
[125:14] features do people want it is so the the
[125:16] launcher in is so much better to drive
[125:18] than the or m and i don't know why and i
[125:22] want because a lot of the the the
[125:23] components are basically identical yeah
[125:26] yeah i'm going to ask them this time
[125:29] what they did and how
[125:31] like the finer bits i can't guarantee
[125:33] you i'm going to get an answer but i'm
[125:34] going to try yeah they're not on the
[125:36] same
[125:37] i mean they're i guess they're on the
[125:38] they're on the same archetype similar
[125:40] basically identical motor the the the
[125:42] elantra and makes more power i'm talking
[125:43] about the body is the new veloc and i
[125:45] can't remember i think the elantra n is
[125:47] more rigid than the velocity okay but
[125:49] that would make sense because it feels
[125:50] more rigid the wheelbase is obviously
[125:52] longer i would assume
[125:54] which could also make it feel more
[125:55] stable
[125:57] but getting those real technical answers
[125:58] from an engineer i think will go a long
[125:59] way agreed um all right
[126:02] let's go back into the tech the the the
[126:05] bajillion questions we've been answering
[126:07] it's what's funny is i thought you said
[126:09] we weren't going to talk about uh korean
[126:10] cars last live stream but i have to hey
[126:14] the launch runs great
[126:15] now what are we not cause i've been paid
[126:17] by a lot
[126:20] of your brand
[126:20] engineers came to me he's like jack
[126:22] you're a real corner rascal yeah you're
[126:23] a real corner rescue whatever marketing
[126:25] can you talk about engram shift oh
[126:27] god yeah can we put i'm gonna put
[126:29] triangles on your face dude you're gonna
[126:30] have a triangle hat
[126:32] i know we should ban porsche how would
[126:33] you would you just leave if you would
[126:35] just be gone yeah uh
[126:37] samuel uh oh and we're doing a cayenne
[126:40] turbo gt in august
[126:42] yeah what was up with that i thought
[126:43] we're getting that way sooner i just uh
[126:45] i want to take it to the track oh okay
[126:47] so
[126:48] uh sam
[126:50] hello i have no kids but i bought a new
[126:52] minivan a honda odyssey with the j35
[126:55] minivans have been proven to be far
[126:56] superior than a truck to haul my shifter
[126:58] cart around
[126:59] the country
[127:01] minivan over pickup truck if you don't
[127:03] need to tell i would totally do the same
[127:05] thing i mean if i got to a place in my
[127:07] life where i could region do release a
[127:10] regional karting i would do that and i
[127:11] would highly consider doing it in a
[127:13] minivan sam thanks for the ten dollars
[127:14] by the way yeah thanks man i would love
[127:16] to
[127:17] if you're ever out at autobahn and doing
[127:19] karting hit us up it is up because i'd
[127:21] love to get out there i was i told you
[127:23] that i told jack this this year one of
[127:24] my goals was to actually get out yeah
[127:25] then abraham yeah yeah
[127:27] brian jante by the way the guy who used
[127:29] to work at mancuso who hooked us up with
[127:32] the lotuses and helped us with our
[127:33] karting video that guy is amazing yeah
[127:35] he's a big regional gardener he does it
[127:38] all in a gti i think he puts the cart in
[127:40] the gti oh he does yeah or he has a
[127:42] trailer for it he's got to do wheels off
[127:44] and all that yeah i'm sure but he's a
[127:46] bro how does he deal with keeping it
[127:47] from sloshing around
[127:50] like fluids having to drain it all out i
[127:52] have no idea i just know that he does
[127:54] that and that's pretty amazing
[127:56] mobus for 20. love your thank you for
[127:59] the 20
[128:00] love your channel thank you uh always
[128:02] have good vibes and fun to watch quick
[128:04] car question my dd is a ls430
[128:08] get a new upper spec z for the weekend
[128:10] or sell the ls 430 and get a base spec
[128:13] is 500 f sport
[128:17] well since he's already got a lexus just
[128:20] go for the is he's probably gonna be
[128:21] more happy with that
[128:24] just as a as a dd as well he has a dd
[128:26] the is500 is amazing yeah if you're
[128:28] never going to see the track the is500
[128:31] is a great car
[128:32] yeah the is500 is a really good street
[128:34] car it's that that's where it excels if
[128:36] you expect it to be anything more than a
[128:38] really good streetcar that makes a lot
[128:39] of noise and kind of goes sideways
[128:41] you're going to be disappointed in it
[128:43] the z is a good car
[128:46] i'm really excited so
[128:48] for those who didn't watch the beginning
[128:49] of this live stream and i know it's
[128:50] super long um
[128:52] we are doing a comparison test again
[128:54] with the z the same with the super on
[128:56] the gr86 and we are putting the super on
[128:58] the z on the sink tire and they're going
[129:00] to be on a very sticky 200 treadwear
[129:02] tire from a certain japanese
[129:04] manufacturer
[129:05] um
[129:06] and i'm really excited to see what the z
[129:08] is like because it'll be in performance
[129:09] pads as well to see what it's like as a
[129:13] track car on a dry track that we know
[129:15] really really well yeah a lot of people
[129:16] have complained that the z is
[129:19] too soft which i i maybe argue yes or no
[129:22] but the tires are not good
[129:23] now that we eliminate that factor to be
[129:25] fair anyone who's going to track that
[129:26] car is going to put it on a sticky set
[129:28] of tires i agree
[129:29] i'm curious to see what that car is like
[129:32] because if it does the track well and it
[129:33] does the daily part compromise it's
[129:35] still a cool car i think what you're
[129:36] going to find is much like this broken
[129:38] record of this whatever we're doing here
[129:41] you're going to get out of the supra and
[129:42] the supra is going to be belligerently
[129:44] fast and the brakes are going to give
[129:46] out first um you're going to get in the
[129:48] c and the z is not going to be as fast
[129:50] but it's going to be far more fun to
[129:52] drive i could be wrong but that would be
[129:54] my guess
[129:56] yeah whenever whenever i drive the
[129:58] supras and we've driven them a lot now
[130:00] and driven them a lot on the track the
[130:02] supra to me is this great
[130:04] bargain for 50 thousand dollars
[130:07] you you're basically getting like a
[130:08] discount m car in some ways yeah but
[130:11] then i think that the zl the camaro
[130:13] ss1le if you're looking for a track car
[130:15] is way more involving in similar money
[130:17] it's just not probably not as fast that
[130:19] would be an interesting uh one that we'd
[130:21] never get as small
[130:23] now that i'm kind of i'm going to try
[130:25] i'll ask i would i really want to do
[130:27] that they gotta have one in detroit they
[130:28] can ship yeah i'll ask because that
[130:30] would be because that's really the
[130:31] missing link because a lot of people
[130:32] have been asking for that ss1 i'll leave
[130:34] for a long time and it's a car we just
[130:37] they don't put it in the fleet because
[130:38] they do not care about camaro they just
[130:40] don't they don't care about it anymore
[130:41] so you know getting that as a
[130:43] manufacturer car is hard not drake for
[130:46] twenty dollars last live stream few
[130:48] people mentioned the 2022 bolt price cut
[130:51] i bought one with the discount to
[130:53] replace my 99 cherokee i actually love
[130:55] it pretty zippy and now a six dollar
[130:58] charge gets me further than a hundred
[131:00] dollar tank did yeah that's no joke
[131:02] wouldn't
[131:03] uh i i don't disagree with that right
[131:05] now it's kind of a here and now thing
[131:07] but
[131:07] um we did the gv60
[131:10] not having to fill it up was nice and
[131:11] going because i i wound up the range
[131:13] socks on it to me it sucked and then
[131:16] going to a dc fast charger i i did
[131:20] about 20 to 80 percent
[131:22] in 17 minutes and it was roughly 20
[131:26] every time i did that
[131:28] that's i mean
[131:30] there's pitfalls to that don't get me
[131:32] wrong like that 20 isn't really fair but
[131:35] i mean
[131:36] compared to like what we're dealing with
[131:38] with these other cars that are 80 to 100
[131:40] to fill up every time it's a pretty con
[131:42] it's a huge savings if you're like what
[131:45] we do with the x7 right like i fill up
[131:47] the x7 every week maybe even twice a
[131:49] week and that's 150 dollars of phillip
[131:52] that's that's insane how much money is i
[131:54] have an escalade right now because we're
[131:55] doing a technical video on the super
[131:57] cruise i'm like regretting whenever i
[131:59] fill that thing up because it's so much
[132:00] money yeah
[132:02] for nothing you're literally burning
[132:04] money and it's one thing when gas is
[132:06] cheap but another thing when it's like
[132:08] you're you're like why am i spending
[132:10] this much money i'm not getting it's not
[132:11] even that it's like necessarily like
[132:14] that i'm dreading it because i can't
[132:16] afford it it's just like it feels
[132:17] wasteful no it well it's because it's
[132:19] hitting your bottom line but that's
[132:21] that's in america that's the benefit we
[132:23] have is like things are traditionally
[132:25] cheap and people like oh you know it's
[132:27] like other countries look at us like
[132:29] dude you look at how little you pay for
[132:31] gas or cars you're like why are you
[132:32] complaining you know and now that we're
[132:34] actually getting hit with a lot of these
[132:36] rising costs it's like oh man i'm not
[132:38] paying that much you know all of a
[132:40] sudden
[132:40] all of a sudden we care you know uh kurt
[132:43] for ten dollars thank you kurt for your
[132:45] donation sorry if i've sorry if you've
[132:48] answered this before how do you define
[132:50] good steering feel
[132:51] that we actually had a discussion off
[132:53] camera remember i was messaging you
[132:55] about this to find good steering feel
[132:57] where it feels like the steering wheel
[132:58] is just connected to a
[133:00] video game where i don't feel anything i
[133:03] don't want a feeling how do you how do
[133:04] you define good steering feel so
[133:05] steering feel to me it's you're probably
[133:07] gonna say the same thing is
[133:09] i want a car to communicate what's
[133:11] happening with grip levels on the front
[133:14] part of the car through the tires into
[133:16] the steering wheel where i know how much
[133:17] grip or scrub is on the front tires and
[133:20] i want to be able to feel through the
[133:21] steering wheel when that grip is
[133:23] disappeared what does that feel like in
[133:24] the wheel
[133:25] it feels
[133:27] like a sudden load it feels like the
[133:29] front end is loading up a weight
[133:31] and then
[133:32] as the traction breaks you feel a slip
[133:35] in the wheel and then a weight come back
[133:37] as it's slipping and gripping with some
[133:39] subtle vibration so if a tire is
[133:40] scrubbing you'll feel that subtle
[133:42] vibration of the fact that the front end
[133:44] is going or the fact that you have
[133:46] maximum grip and you can hold that angle
[133:48] like in the gen 1 nsx we drove without
[133:50] you and this is the thing we don't talk
[133:52] about and it's hard to explain this is
[133:54] something i talked to you and then i
[133:55] talked to karen about too is like you go
[133:57] through a turn
[133:59] and you you know the apex you know how
[134:01] you're supposed to get through the turn
[134:02] you should be through the turn like this
[134:04] essentially one turn one commitment
[134:06] through that entire turn you shouldn't
[134:08] be doing like turn one at autobahn which
[134:09] is not something i do all the time is
[134:11] one angle one angle because that that's
[134:12] what you do but the problem with you
[134:14] could do that a lot easier with older
[134:15] cars you can make subtle adjustments
[134:17] because you're feeling the grip level
[134:19] fall off and come back through the wheel
[134:20] all the modern cars
[134:22] that does not exist anymore so even in
[134:24] cars with good steering modern cars
[134:26] there's no transmission of when that
[134:28] that grip level is here or there so the
[134:31] way you have to drive it is you have to
[134:32] pick the angle and make one turn because
[134:35] as soon as you start moving that wheel
[134:36] you don't even know if there's grip or
[134:38] not and you're just wasting time so it's
[134:40] anyway that's kind of geeky no no i i
[134:42] think that's a fair question because
[134:43] people are always like what does good
[134:44] steering mean
[134:46] i think certain cars
[134:48] there's a v it's not to the level of the
[134:50] gen 1 nsx where the steering i shoot you
[134:53] not is the best steering i've probably
[134:55] felt in a car that isn't like an atom or
[134:57] something yeah or a lotus right right um
[134:59] and the lotus does that as well you
[135:01] there is
[135:02] muted in comparison to the nsx at least
[135:05] the lotuses i've driven which should be
[135:06] fair just savoro's um but you feel
[135:09] something in the front wheel it may not
[135:11] be the same like or it's actually moving
[135:13] the wheel but you feel something but i
[135:15] wonder how much of that is staring at us
[135:16] versus your ass like what you feel in
[135:18] your butt well i think part of the the
[135:19] steering feel is also because it's going
[135:22] through the wheel you're feeling it
[135:23] through the body of the car as well you
[135:25] can't like really isolate out the fact
[135:27] that you're having grip and it's part of
[135:29] that whole body experience that's gone
[135:31] in
[135:32] many modern cars i think the thing with
[135:34] the steering feel is it's almost
[135:36] impossible to get steering feel
[135:38] weight
[135:39] and to make a car good that way and then
[135:42] to be street drivable so like what you
[135:44] went through in the nsx or you go
[135:45] through with a lease or an exige with a
[135:47] manual steering rack
[135:49] is it's fatiguing as hell to drive fast
[135:53] like you're you know if you don't have
[135:54] upper body strength it's really hard to
[135:56] control that car because it's it is
[135:58] literally loading up the rack and to the
[136:00] point where your arm is
[136:02] like that your your arm is part of that
[136:05] mechanism to control the tie rods and
[136:07] everything so while it's connecting it's
[136:09] fatiguing to drive and it's not
[136:10] accessible to a vast majority of the
[136:12] people that can afford those cars so
[136:14] that's why you know a lot of these newer
[136:16] cars there's no way you would dare put a
[136:18] manual rack the best modern eps is
[136:20] porsche products specifically in the gt
[136:23] products because there's all this
[136:24] rigidity yeah lack of rubber bushings in
[136:27] the front ends
[136:28] and then i will say what makes good
[136:31] electronic power steering is a perfect
[136:34] linearity to your steering inputs like
[136:36] you feel jack in the current
[136:38] generation g80 m3 but what i will say
[136:42] is the ratio is perfect you know
[136:44] exactly mentally how much input to give
[136:48] when you're correcting a slide or
[136:49] turning in you know
[136:51] mentally that your brain moves the wheel
[136:54] x the car will turn x you don't feel
[136:56] in the wheel but it is doing
[136:58] something right versus like the x3m
[137:01] where
[137:02] because it's got variable gear ratio
[137:04] steering
[137:06] this versus this does not equal the same
[137:08] amount of turning you know right it's
[137:10] like there's a ramp up effect it's not a
[137:12] linear curve of turn see i'm okay with
[137:14] that and i think the the so the the uh
[137:17] one of the things that made the lc 500
[137:19] the performance pack or whatever they
[137:20] call it now
[137:21] it had a variable steering rack and the
[137:23] rear wheel steering so they're trying to
[137:25] match the rates of the way that the rear
[137:27] wheels are turning with the variable
[137:29] gear
[137:31] it wasn't particularly normal because
[137:33] the the car was so long
[137:35] but you know but that's how you made it
[137:37] shrink down so there was a there was a
[137:38] great feel of how those two mechanical
[137:41] systems were working together to get
[137:43] that car to snap and to move in
[137:45] that was good with the way that it was
[137:47] tuned because it made a big car feel
[137:48] smaller and it was still really
[137:50] enjoyable because you could chuck it
[137:52] through a corner but it didn't speak out
[137:54] to me that it was like yeah okay yes
[137:56] it's not a perfect one in that car but
[137:59] it didn't speak out to me in being weird
[138:01] like the x3m does it and the the 240i
[138:05] x drive thing did it well but that's
[138:07] partly because you don't have the rear
[138:08] steering effect you have a just you have
[138:10] you know you you can turn to here and
[138:12] then the gear the teeth change sizes so
[138:14] when you're turning
[138:15] you know that ratio is suddenly changing
[138:18] so if you're expecting okay i'm going
[138:20] through the corner and i hit that point
[138:21] and all of a sudden it speeds up and you
[138:23] turn in even faster without having the
[138:25] rear turning at the same time it can
[138:27] create a weird effect but this is this
[138:30] is one of the things so you talk about
[138:31] steering feel there is no steering feel
[138:33] like physical load up in the wheel
[138:36] anymore like the older cars with manual
[138:37] racks that's gone so how does it feel to
[138:40] actually turn the wheel and get it to do
[138:43] what you that's what you're talking
[138:44] about is when you turn the wheel it
[138:45] matches up to your brain and your inputs
[138:47] that's how you determine what like a
[138:49] good steering is does it feel natural
[138:50] like the old 86 and i got this wrong in
[138:52] an instagram comment i guess i i get all
[138:55] the subaru racks confu confusing yeah
[138:58] so this
[138:59] the old 86 because the way the elect the
[139:01] eps rack was done the motor and the it
[139:05] was in the column and the controller
[139:06] were both
[139:07] they were yeah they were like they just
[139:09] moved the controller and the motor
[139:11] closer to the rack it's not a rack
[139:14] mounted eps anymore and that's that was
[139:16] the change but that's what but they
[139:17] changed that in the other subaru's they
[139:19] put the the the motor on the rack and
[139:21] then the the input shaft on the rack and
[139:23] they put the motor on the other side
[139:25] that was the divorce direction anyway i
[139:27] was getting it is the old frs had a
[139:30] little bit of something through the
[139:31] wheel there was far more load
[139:33] transmitted where you felt the load up
[139:35] effect in the wheel like that the new
[139:36] car doesn't have that but it's still
[139:38] perfectly linear in how you input things
[139:41] yeah that's a long discussion about
[139:42] steering hey you got your money's worth
[139:44] out of that answer sir yeah that's
[139:46] that's geeky stuff uh sorry if i put any
[139:48] of you guys to sleep um and no hydraulic
[139:51] steering doesn't all is not always
[139:53] better than eps that's the other thing
[139:55] i'm gonna say the z is a good example of
[139:57] that the 370z is hydraulic steering
[140:01] yes you got something out of the wheel
[140:03] but it wasn't all of that precise or all
[140:06] that linear the new z you get nothing
[140:08] out of the wheel but you know exactly
[140:10] what to do with your hands every single
[140:11] time yeah my grade um
[140:16] oh all right we got 40 minutes to
[140:18] answer questions i'm going to start
[140:19] powering through these marks all right
[140:21] okay
[140:22] um
[140:24] and probably chen say around like
[140:26] 640-ish
[140:28] stop taking paid questions because i'm
[140:30] not sure if we're going to be able to
[140:31] answer them or 6 45 yeah so you're what
[140:33] you're going to do is if you want to
[140:34] donate obviously you can donate i'm not
[140:37] going to stop you because jack's driving
[140:39] me crazy with all his
[140:41] his boards he's ordering to my house so
[140:44] if you want to donate go ahead but if
[140:45] you expecting to donate to get a
[140:47] question answered you're really cutting
[140:48] it close here so just plan on cutting it
[140:50] off
[140:52] in like 10 minutes
[140:53] and chris as well if you see
[140:55] a lot of the same
[140:57] uh question over and over again
[141:00] put it in the discord for me so i can
[141:02] answer that and
[141:03] we are going to release the discord and
[141:06] chris will be the moderator for it yes
[141:09] and it will be for patreon uh and if
[141:11] it's a disaster i'll blame chris yes
[141:14] this is why i'm having chris do it
[141:15] because it's easier to
[141:17] to blame him yeah yeah that's the whole
[141:19] thing i learned to go back to living in
[141:20] the dumpster i got to get this this name
[141:23] i learned today and one of my
[141:24] appointments is like a way that it's
[141:26] like a technical term for when you set
[141:28] yourself up
[141:29] for all your failures you can set
[141:31] yourself up to blame everybody else for
[141:32] the failures and you never accept worse
[141:34] it's it's something like amazing i can't
[141:36] remember it but i'll i'll get it before
[141:38] this video is a gm
[141:42] that was you know there was a supplier
[141:44] issue that wasn't us come on
[141:46] [Laughter]
[141:48] andrew carbone
[141:50] that's an amazing um
[141:52] 20 thank you for that andrew forty to
[141:54] fifty thousand dollars something that's
[141:56] fun useful wagon or suv lease so don't
[141:59] give me a about long term
[142:00] reliability do me
[142:03] sorry uh forty to fifty thousand dollars
[142:05] it's at least that's a wagon or suv
[142:07] that's fun
[142:09] oh wagon if the g if the golf r is
[142:12] within the
[142:13] realm of being big enough for you that
[142:15] would be your great lease car
[142:17] um
[142:18] fun though of suvs for 40 to 50 grand
[142:21] that's least what's fun
[142:23] that's the least man that's hard at
[142:25] least he's leasing it
[142:29] yeah what piles are out there that are
[142:30] fun to drive that are suvs that are
[142:32] under fifty thousand dollars rdx is that
[142:35] even fun kind of kind of
[142:37] x3 sort of not really if you can get
[142:39] them for that i don't know if you can
[142:40] get the six cylinder for that much money
[142:42] q5 you can i know for a fact you can't
[142:44] get for that much money i would say
[142:46] honestly rdx if you want an suv but if
[142:49] you want like a hatchback or something
[142:51] uh rdx sh all wheel drive not the golf r
[142:54] golf r yeah that's yeah that's a good
[142:56] call
[142:57] wagon
[143:01] xc40
[143:03] recharge with the e all-wheel drive
[143:04] system that never works that would be
[143:06] real fun um man that one's hard for 40
[143:08] to 50. used
[143:11] s sq5 if you want an suv
[143:14] what about the rav4 prime where the back
[143:16] end is randomly oversteers you know
[143:18] we're silver steers because the the
[143:20] transmission is like i don't know what's
[143:22] happening be a shoe for uh for ten
[143:24] dollars okay so the phrase for when you
[143:27] set yourself up for where you're not to
[143:29] blame and you blame everybody else's
[143:31] attributional bias
[143:35] just wanted to thank you guys for your
[143:37] hard work never miss a video daily
[143:39] driver 21 1le camaro
[143:42] want to go find the right fiesta c to
[143:45] daily drive and save the camaro for
[143:47] weekends any advice
[143:49] man well if you're in the midwest don't
[143:50] buy one here
[143:52] if yes st he wants to daily drive one of
[143:54] those and save the camaro for weekends
[143:57] what do you mean don't buy one here
[143:58] don't buy one from illinois yeah because
[144:00] they'll be rotted out oh yeah yeah yeah
[144:02] don't buy anything from illinois by the
[144:03] way
[144:04] jack was talking trash about florida go
[144:06] to florida to buy a car at least their
[144:07] cars are nice there yeah don't come to
[144:09] illinois for anything that you want nice
[144:11] that's for sure uh
[144:13] 8th gen civic would also be a cool car
[144:15] for like 10 15 grand fun i know you hate
[144:17] the dash but that's a cool car k20 that
[144:19] car need i could get one for if i could
[144:21] get one for like eight grand and then
[144:23] have king motorsports put about 20 grand
[144:26] into the okay so it would make 240
[144:28] horsepower and make no power and torque
[144:30] but it would sound like you you'd be
[144:32] okay with it yeah i'd be like all right
[144:34] now i'm the ultimate hazel green
[144:36] for five dollars thanks again guys thank
[144:38] you i think you may have answered my
[144:39] question earlier so re-watch the
[144:40] recording through the part i missed keep
[144:42] up the good stuff thank you thank you
[144:44] hazel thanks everybody seriously dan
[144:46] thank you for the ten dollars and thanks
[144:48] for the kind words of saying keep up the
[144:50] great work
[144:51] jw in hd thank you for the 50 donations
[144:54] hey guys i have an i-40 m50 on order i
[144:57] really enjoyed your guys review most of
[144:59] the press unknowingly has been whether
[145:01] this car is an evm3 can you guys speak
[145:05] a little more in depth about how it
[145:06] compares other m sport models like the
[145:08] m340i
[145:10] talking about the i4 yeah the i4m
[145:14] it's not
[145:15] uh it's not as organic to drive as the
[145:18] m340i i think the b58 we talked about in
[145:21] the video yeah yeah
[145:22] it's better in some ways because it's ev
[145:25] and it's worse in some ways because it's
[145:27] eevee because there is a disconnect
[145:28] between the front and the rear that the
[145:29] regular cars don't have that problem
[145:31] with they feel like and it's partly the
[145:34] weight too you have the weight to lug
[145:36] around in that thing um so dynamically
[145:39] like what we're talking about how the
[145:40] front and rear end of the car respond
[145:42] when you're turning in like you do this
[145:44] in like a regular rear wheel drive 3
[145:47] series you turn in the back starts to
[145:49] rotate naturally and it's like real
[145:51] smooth inputs to get it to do what you
[145:52] want your pedal pressure and all of that
[145:55] all match up with the ev you ram rod it
[145:57] in a corner you hit the gas like the
[146:00] front has power and then there's a delay
[146:02] between which drive motor is powering
[146:04] what so what you get is like a shunt in
[146:06] the front and then a kick in the back
[146:08] and it feels like the car is going in
[146:10] two separate directions when you drive
[146:11] it hard and that's where the evs are
[146:14] really struggling right now because
[146:15] there's no mechanical connection it's
[146:18] software to turn on and off the motors
[146:20] and that it's not like
[146:21] hyper linear power delivery where it's
[146:24] natural um that's what i would say it's
[146:26] not just the bmw like the gv60 we just
[146:29] drove is even like 25 percent more
[146:31] disconnected than that i mean that's
[146:33] where you're gonna see this first gen
[146:35] car really age poorly until they can get
[146:37] everything talking to each other
[146:40] yeah i think
[146:42] you'll really like the car
[146:43] and i think some of our complaints
[146:44] really only exist if you're pushing them
[146:46] really really hard which would be fair
[146:47] it's not a real m car yeah you're not
[146:49] gonna be taken to the track
[146:50] but the m340i as far as like a
[146:52] regular-ish sedan it's not regular it's
[146:55] 60 or 50 000
[146:57] is more normal feeling than
[146:59] than your i50m will be but yeah yeah
[147:02] there are lots of benefits of the ev
[147:04] power training like speed overall
[147:06] refinement and rigidity to the body
[147:09] um
[147:11] andrew fernandez thank you for the two
[147:12] dollar donation e train for two dollars
[147:15] savage geese 2024 mark
[147:18] you can run against the other old dudes
[147:20] yeah that's what's going to happen i'm
[147:21] going to be like 65 and i can't get a cr
[147:24] i can't get a corporate job anymore
[147:25] because i aged out you're going to run
[147:26] for paul and nobody's like nobody cares
[147:29] what i say because all the 20 year olds
[147:31] are like you know i don't even know what
[147:33] it's going to be so the only thing i'll
[147:35] be left to do is run for local politics
[147:37] in a town with 500 people where i
[147:38] actually have a chance of winning
[147:39] because there's nobody else running and
[147:41] then i'll take it from there and just
[147:44] it sounds like a great place come move
[147:46] to my town it's i don't know what town
[147:48] oh like what town should i take indiana
[147:50] no gary's too big that's a huge town
[147:53] like i said 500 people at lady lake
[147:56] that's huge too it's got to be like
[147:59] bottomsville or something it's just
[148:01] horses and juan thank you for the 25 uh
[148:05] mx
[148:06] uh speeding 20
[148:08] how do you think the next generation of
[148:09] m cars and porsches will perform as
[148:11] track vehicles once they become fully ev
[148:14] will they make gas powered counterparts
[148:16] obsolete
[148:18] yes and no
[148:20] the reason you're going to like gas cars
[148:22] is that you feel something and you hear
[148:23] something yeah it's it's the argument
[148:26] that i didn't have this with who did i
[148:28] have the argument with eb oh uh
[148:30] uh about the tycon calvin kelvin so i'm
[148:33] like
[148:34] i told him you you put fake engine noise
[148:36] or fake noise in an eevee it's not the
[148:39] same they're trying to create that
[148:40] emotion
[148:41] um and it's not the same as like
[148:44] having
[148:46] hearing and feeling the vibration an
[148:48] engine sound like from a hellcat or
[148:50] something or a v8 that has this sonic
[148:52] presence pure evs so porsha is using the
[148:56] cayman as an eevee race car i sent you
[148:58] the video where it's chris harris yeah
[148:59] that's real eevee noise it sounds
[149:01] horrible oh yeah well yeah where you you
[149:04] get a headache listening to it i'll just
[149:05] put it this way the best way to explain
[149:07] it is if sound wasn't important we would
[149:10] not be listening to music we wouldn't
[149:12] care about music and we wouldn't care
[149:13] about like movies and all that stuff
[149:15] because sound is really a part of the
[149:16] human experience and i know that not
[149:19] everybody's blessed with hearing but in
[149:21] terms of cars
[149:22] the sound is really it's been a part of
[149:24] it since cars have been online in the
[149:26] modern age and that's going to be sorely
[149:28] missed and you can't really replace it
[149:30] through synthesis
[149:31] uh pan 46 for five dollars jack you said
[149:34] you wrote in both the regular
[149:36] uh gr corolla and the morizo gr corolla
[149:39] is there a difference in driving dynamic
[149:41] substantial does the regular car
[149:43] understeer i will tell you what the pro
[149:45] driver freddie i can't remember his full
[149:48] name he's a drifter told me about
[149:50] driving both and i will say this to you
[149:51] guys as well
[149:52] so i wrote them both one was on cup cup
[149:55] twos and the other one was on pilot
[149:57] super sports i think so obviously
[149:58] there's a huge grip level between both
[150:01] and that's the primary difference that i
[150:03] felt as a passenger it was not the
[150:05] driver the understeer question
[150:07] the car under steers when it's in track
[150:10] mode a little bit because it's still an
[150:12] all-wheel drive car in 50 50. they said
[150:14] when the car was in sport mode
[150:16] it's almost too oversteery
[150:18] which is to me it's a good thing to kind
[150:20] of hear that there is a little bit of
[150:22] playfulness but they say it's
[150:23] ballistically fast for what it is
[150:26] that's coming from the pro drivers
[150:28] that so that's why you're getting one
[150:30] and i'm getting a civic type r
[150:32] and i'm going to show you the real
[150:34] japanese engineering jack
[150:36] front-wheel drive specific has too many
[150:38] cylinders dude this the thing is is you
[150:40] know
[150:41] we don't have to talk about oh is this
[150:42] car going to all is this cargo is it
[150:45] sending enough power back i don't have
[150:46] to worry about what that with the civic
[150:48] type r i just have to worry about all
[150:49] that power being sent to two premium
[150:51] wheels
[150:53] um
[150:54] puzzle bunny for five dollars
[150:57] uh best and more steering wheels you've
[150:58] used not necessarily steering but
[151:01] controls and textures on the hand i hate
[151:04] that genesis wheel that's all weird
[151:07] like on the
[151:08] gv80 or no the g g or whatever the the
[151:11] new 80s and then the 90s steering wheel
[151:13] for me all the haptic oh yeah
[151:15] yeah from usability standpoint that's
[151:17] the worst uh the new lexus one where
[151:19] they have the touch d-pad
[151:21] i know some people really hate that i
[151:23] get it i kind of like it but it's not
[151:25] good um but that's far from the worst
[151:27] juan r mx25 thank you sorry juan hart
[151:30] thank you for the uh the 25 donation
[151:34] sean smith thank you for the two dollar
[151:36] donation and thank you for saying keep
[151:38] up the good work thank you uh logan for
[151:41] ten dollars just took delivery of my
[151:42] mach 1 6b manual in eruption green
[151:46] that sounds like an std uh with the
[151:48] handling pack last week after waiting 13
[151:51] months oh my god first mustang first v8
[151:54] come drive it much low from denver we
[151:56] are doing a mach 1 video this summer
[151:58] allegedly the mach 1 i'm really looking
[152:00] forward to that one because hopefully
[152:01] it's like the gt350 it should be
[152:03] everything that you could possibly want
[152:05] from a mustang with reliability and
[152:07] better because it's got the gt350 or the
[152:09] traumatic gearbox too right
[152:11] yeah sean smith ever thought of doing
[152:14] uh
[152:15] a video on the last gen c63 507 rented
[152:18] one on turo the 6.3 was very special
[152:21] massive seat bolsters i've driven one on
[152:23] track actually they're great cars which
[152:24] car was that the last gen c63 the one
[152:27] with the turbo v8 that's a
[152:29] missile it's a cool car we just
[152:31] we we haven't been offered one
[152:33] and it's i can imagine i i i don't
[152:35] remember driving i don't think i
[152:37] i don't think i did but i can just
[152:38] imagine that it's like a it's a muscle
[152:41] car yeah i said one is shane's buddies
[152:42] from face garage had one i drove it at
[152:44] uh rpm before the track got all
[152:46] up that thing's hilarious okay i think
[152:48] the base ones were open oh is that the
[152:49] one that once slightly slid off the road
[152:51] like it spun out there a couple no no
[152:53] you think that was the old c6
[152:56] uh sean smith
[152:58] uh no i just answered that one ken for
[153:01] two dollars unaffordable comment six uh
[153:05] six gen s i matters just send it
[153:08] six gen si yeah that's the two four
[153:10] wasn't it
[153:11] no that was the one point six that's the
[153:13] one we drove yeah sorry ninth gen
[153:15] assignment oh nine yeah yeah that's when
[153:17] they switched to 2.4
[153:18] i had a roommate who owned one in
[153:20] college uh ed camden thank you for the
[153:22] ten dollars
[153:24] felonious monk that is a premium name
[153:27] for twenty dollars
[153:28] thank you costs the environment to make
[153:30] eevee seem to
[153:32] cost of the environments to make evs
[153:34] seem to be a lot more than ice cars
[153:38] when in an evs life cycle does it truly
[153:41] make up for all that pollution will tech
[153:43] make them obsolete before they get to
[153:45] that point thanks for the vids
[153:47] uh we've had this conversation before
[153:49] and it's a real sticky one because
[153:52] when i first started doing these videos
[153:53] i reached out to multiple manufacturers
[153:55] to say can you provide me the supply
[153:58] chain and all the parts that come from
[154:00] all the suppliers to do battery tech
[154:01] electric motors and all that
[154:04] none of them could provide me that
[154:06] information because it's so complicated
[154:09] and proprietary for them to actually
[154:11] tell us how these things are made so
[154:13] with that understanding there's no
[154:15] possible way that you can really
[154:17] gauge all the materials and all the
[154:19] costs because if you have so many
[154:21] different suppliers working on it um
[154:23] it's impossible for again for us to
[154:25] really disseminate what goes into it
[154:28] um i i will say they're making strides
[154:32] on like getting near the point of having
[154:35] minimal amounts of cobalt and lithium
[154:37] batteries 100
[154:39] recyclability to the the battery packs
[154:41] and the new
[154:43] lyric according to the like the foremost
[154:46] expert on like electrification for gm's
[154:49] that they're basically entirely
[154:50] recyclable okay so i i think we're going
[154:52] to get to that place where they're going
[154:54] to figure out by necessity because
[154:56] supply
[154:57] in demand supply is going to be so tight
[155:00] based on demand right and once if
[155:03] they're really trying to make this this
[155:04] work by like 2030 and especially
[155:06] countries that are banning ice i think
[155:08] they're going to be in for a rude
[155:09] awakening the fact that there's not
[155:10] going to be enough battery supply to to
[155:12] make all these cars so that's going to
[155:14] delay everything anyway um but you have
[155:16] manufacturers like bmw you have
[155:18] manufacturers like toyota you have
[155:21] mercedes talking about carbon neutrality
[155:23] like literally getting to a place where
[155:25] you know they're offsetting a lot of
[155:28] this manufacturing and trying to go
[155:30] clean and a lot of them are some of it's
[155:32] just pure marketing um
[155:36] but it's gonna take a long time so you
[155:38] can't just go overnight and switch from
[155:40] internal combustion to electric and just
[155:41] everything's fine you're going to have
[155:43] to
[155:44] get rid of that over a long period of
[155:46] time and i think eventually as
[155:48] technology picks up it could be much
[155:49] cleaner but then you have the problem
[155:51] depending on what country you're in with
[155:53] the the power grid which we're already
[155:55] experiencing it's bad here for evs
[155:57] already but we don't have charging
[155:59] infrastructure on the charging
[156:00] infrastructure we have that's bad
[156:02] most of our state or well where we're at
[156:04] is nuclear power but that can't get
[156:07] funded they're having problems funding
[156:08] it it's hyper expensive they haven't
[156:10] been updated well they haven't been
[156:12] built anything since the 70s there's the
[156:14] power grid problem is a whole separate
[156:16] story it's part of this big conversation
[156:18] that you're not going to get a lot of
[156:19] straight answers from from the
[156:21] manufacturers or the the the brand reps
[156:24] and the engineers to really tell you the
[156:26] numbers compared and um i don't have the
[156:29] energy to try to chase all that down
[156:30] anymore so
[156:32] that's a long answer to something that i
[156:34] didn't give you a straight answer all
[156:35] right so i'm trying to speed through
[156:36] this sorry oh no no worries i mean he
[156:38] deserves a real answer
[156:39] um muhammad hassan any thoughts i thank
[156:43] you for the five dollars thank you uh
[156:44] thoughts on the future of tesla and elon
[156:47] after he fired 200 autonomous driving
[156:49] engineers
[156:51] that that company you know like it's
[156:53] hard i think what that company is going
[156:54] to have to do is
[156:56] put elon out to pasture i'll be honest
[156:59] like or put him in a different role
[157:00] because he's he's basically going to
[157:02] start to get in the way of growth
[157:05] based on my understanding talking to
[157:07] some of the engineers who work at that
[157:08] company he does already get in the way
[157:10] okay so but to an even more extreme
[157:12] element as there's a downward cycle
[157:14] it doesn't really matter to him honestly
[157:16] what happens to that company because
[157:18] he's got he's he's all over the place
[157:20] and the interviews he said plainly and a
[157:22] lot of people talk about him the most
[157:24] effective leaders are those that uh
[157:26] there was a paypal engineer that was
[157:27] talking about him and he said elon was
[157:30] great because he was guy that was not
[157:32] one track minded he had to be dealing
[157:34] with so many things at once but at the
[157:36] level that he's at he's becoming
[157:38] ineffective at doing what he's good at
[157:40] because like one week he cares about
[157:42] tesla and he's talking about the next
[157:44] week he's over talking about instagram
[157:46] or social media like it's just it's a
[157:48] distraction to tesla as a brand so i i
[157:51] don't know what they do but the big the
[157:53] big thing is if they don't make a change
[157:54] fast as all these other companies come
[157:56] online big car companies that know what
[157:58] they're doing their time is driving in
[157:59] comparison to gm super cruise is a
[158:01] joke right now yeah i mean i've
[158:03] been telling him this all the time super
[158:05] cruise and the escalades at least is
[158:08] amazing in comparison to what uh
[158:11] the autopilot is the autopilot that we
[158:13] had on the model 3 was horrifying yeah
[158:16] this is good yeah yeah and again it's
[158:19] it's not so much that tesla is bad or
[158:21] good it's just they are at a severe
[158:23] disadvantage as competition catches up
[158:26] when they catch up and start chewing
[158:27] into their pro products i don't see
[158:29] tesla i don't know what they do
[158:32] um and if elon keeps spooking away
[158:34] investors or becomes less of a magic man
[158:36] and they don't have the influx of cash
[158:39] they're they're in a lot of trouble
[158:40] and i think a lot of companies are going
[158:43] to see this though it's not just tesla
[158:44] you're going to see a lot of head count
[158:45] cutting all over the place as the
[158:46] economy like shifts around so i don't
[158:48] want to just say they're done but they
[158:50] got some work to do for sure
[158:52] um let me get back to all of this fun
[158:55] stuff uh
[158:57] ed camden do you still think the current
[158:59] es 350 is the best premium middle class
[159:02] family fancy sedan for newly married
[159:04] couple thank you for ed for the ten
[159:06] dollars by the way in their early
[159:08] forties at least seven to 10 years until
[159:10] eevees are yes i'll make a straight
[159:12] answer it's it's that good it's a zero
[159:14] worry car that does almost everything
[159:16] as good as you could possibly ask like a
[159:18] a basic luxury car and a functional
[159:21] appliance while feeling special at the
[159:23] same time chris for seven dollars
[159:24] canadian thanks chris do you think we'll
[159:27] see a new generation miata soon
[159:28] hopefully before everything goes
[159:29] electric nope
[159:31] i don't think so unless they're hiding
[159:33] something but when we did our stuff they
[159:35] we were told that it wasn't being
[159:37] developed yet they had not even started
[159:39] work or talk of development so unless
[159:41] they pulled something out of their head
[159:42] that we don't know about
[159:44] andrew bordeaux
[159:46] andrew that is a tremendous last name uh
[159:49] thank you for the 20 as a
[159:51] patagonia-wearing 30-something asian
[159:53] living in midwest who likes reviews
[159:56] filled with adolescent humor tech detail
[159:58] and presentation value i feel like i am
[160:00] the epitome of the target demographic
[160:02] good stuff well you are actually focus
[160:04] group just people like that you only
[160:06] focus group patagonia people patagonia
[160:09] half asian tech obsessed 30 something
[160:12] you want to know why patagonia makes so
[160:13] much money because jack buys all the
[160:15] analytic data from all the social media
[160:17] platforms to find out who's buying
[160:19] patagonia who's searching it and then he
[160:21] just target targets all those people
[160:23] like the reason you found us is because
[160:25] jack basically paid to find you exactly
[160:28] carmelo thank you for the ten dollars
[160:30] mitch a for five dollars sold my manual
[160:32] c6 z51
[160:34] trading in my 21 wrangler as well on an
[160:37] m240i when it comes in for michigan
[160:39] winners good compromise moving to one
[160:41] car yes it's a great car i think you'll
[160:43] really like it it's a good combo of
[160:45] it'll probably honestly be faster than
[160:46] the c6 um
[160:49] and i don't i like the wrangler and i
[160:51] don't at the same time uh agree
[160:53] yes
[160:54] uh blaine for five dollars you said
[160:56] porsche employees seem to have genuine
[160:57] passion and a couple other brands what
[160:59] are the other brands
[161:05] and some of the gm engineers that i've
[161:07] met i mean is it brands as a whole full
[161:10] full representation what do you think it
[161:14] is vw too our specific vw reps that
[161:18] we've dealt with are amazing i wouldn't
[161:20] well i would agree with part of that but
[161:22] holistically as a brand sure yeah okay
[161:24] well i'm talking about full scope
[161:26] not just like individuals you like
[161:28] portion mazda the problem toyota has
[161:30] here in the u.s and i will say honda too
[161:33] yeah honda our reps at honda
[161:36] are great and they will do their
[161:38] damnedest to get information right
[161:41] so all right the the japanese car
[161:42] companies basically but that doesn't
[161:44] mean that the other companies are bad i
[161:46] don't want to throw people under the bus
[161:47] either because obviously we have to walk
[161:48] a fine line with this but some of the
[161:50] companies that can't that are not good
[161:53] is because they're not effective because
[161:54] they run too lean subaru is one of those
[161:56] that runs very lean and everybody knows
[161:58] that it's not it's and the subaru guys
[162:00] are great to work with they're great to
[162:01] work with but they don't have a lot of
[162:02] resources the other company that has a
[162:04] big a hard time is like genesis as a
[162:07] brand yeah it was like what no no now
[162:09] they have two dudes oh they do have two
[162:11] but basically they had one guy for all
[162:13] of north america essentially for like
[162:15] two years or like two and you can't be
[162:17] you can't run a brand that way i'm sorry
[162:20] um
[162:21] so there it's just it's more indicative
[162:23] of like resources time that these
[162:24] companies have and you can tell the
[162:26] well-established brands they're well
[162:27] oiled porsche does not have a lot of
[162:29] people but the people they have are
[162:31] highly highly effective they know how to
[162:34] run a
[162:35] team purposely limit they are very
[162:37] strict gatekeepers
[162:39] but they have to be so that's a great
[162:40] example of
[162:42] you know know your strengths
[162:43] pick the people you want to work with
[162:45] and and harbor those relationships
[162:48] and stick with that you don't need to
[162:51] this whole concept of like what ford and
[162:53] gm do we're everyone in the world
[162:54] everybody let's just bring in everybody
[162:56] you bring people in off the streets
[162:58] anybody you know and then you
[163:00] have a lot of dead weight this is the
[163:02] old way of doing stuff dead weight
[163:03] deadweight people that don't pull their
[163:05] weight don't provide any value whereas
[163:07] the smaller companies can cater and and
[163:10] harbor that and know what works and what
[163:12] doesn't and be more selective and it's
[163:13] better that way and you get better
[163:15] treatment you get more information you
[163:16] get more focused information
[163:18] and they actually can control their pr
[163:21] and media a bit better even if we don't
[163:23] necessarily agree with their wraps at
[163:24] least they offer valid counterpoints
[163:28] um hopefully that answers that
[163:30] rob for a thousand yen
[163:33] guys 991 thank you thank you by the way
[163:36] uh guys 991.2 gt3 touring or 992 gt3
[163:40] touring also would you get a turbo s
[163:43] over a gt3 for everyday use
[163:46] okay so 992 beats regen for me okay okay
[163:50] just because of the suspension the front
[163:51] suspension if you're would you get a gt3
[163:54] 992 or a turbo s if all you're doing is
[163:56] driving on the street the turbo s will
[163:58] make you far more happy
[164:00] honestly it's it's more of a you have
[164:02] the wow factor of the handling and all
[164:04] the stuff that goes along with the speed
[164:06] it's a great car it's hyper expensive
[164:08] but if if you want this more special
[164:10] experience that gt3 is that you're just
[164:12] going to stay the only thing you're
[164:13] going to sacrifice is harshness in terms
[164:16] of like ride quality and just there's a
[164:18] lot more buzziness a lot more going on
[164:20] inside the cabin but that's also part of
[164:21] its charm and the motor is more special
[164:23] the motor is way more special not as
[164:26] fast but way more in both gearboxes the
[164:28] eight
[164:29] speed dual clutch is not as special
[164:32] 8-speed pdk is not as special as a
[164:33] 7-speed pdk
[164:35] it's something about the ratios and the
[164:36] way it interacts with the engine i think
[164:38] that like i said the pdks and the gt
[164:40] cars are weight like just the tuning is
[164:42] better
[164:42] um
[164:43] 991.2 gt3 versus 992 if you like gt3s
[164:47] 991.2 is a softer car on the street i
[164:49] think the limits are lower
[164:51] it's a smaller car
[164:53] i
[164:54] prefer the way it looks mark can't tell
[164:55] the difference for some reason i can't
[164:57] they all look the same to me i just care
[164:58] about the way they drive the interior is
[165:00] far better in the 992 and the front end
[165:02] of the gt3 is a night and day difference
[165:05] that's all that's really good i don't
[165:06] know two sounds better though barely but
[165:09] yeah barely you're splitting hairs uh
[165:12] gage morgan for five dollars just
[165:13] recently picked up a 22 gtis other than
[165:16] tires what would you recommend as the
[165:17] first performance part upgrade for my
[165:19] driving enjoyment
[165:20] brake pads and fluid yeah yeah for sure
[165:23] tires brake fat plat
[165:25] tires brake pads and fluid easy i
[165:28] wouldn't touch anything else on that car
[165:29] maybe a rear sway bar if you want it to
[165:31] be a little bit more oversteer
[165:33] or just take the front sway bar off
[165:36] yeah i don't know what for free yeah
[165:38] um
[165:39] [Music]
[165:41] oldie
[165:42] uh
[165:43] for five dollars only deuce for five
[165:45] dollars have you ever planned on making
[165:47] your audiographs available on a database
[165:48] we should do that i've i've wanted to do
[165:51] that and this is just my fault that's
[165:53] but i'm gonna i could have blamed
[165:54] somebody else and dubbed the what the
[165:56] whatever quote i had earlier uh the
[165:58] reason why is because i was supposed to
[165:59] switch over the website to uh an
[166:01] australian was helping me is that he was
[166:03] a viewer and he was very very helpful
[166:06] and i just have not had time to follow
[166:07] through on all that
[166:09] i do need to get a database driven site
[166:11] where i can actually store those and
[166:13] make them searchable
[166:14] and i haven't done it but yes that's a
[166:16] long term project
[166:17] may need to sell my payton for five
[166:19] dollars may need to sell my c6 manual
[166:21] grand sport is there a better reliable
[166:23] rear wheel drive driver's car for less
[166:25] than 40 grand not a daily care most
[166:26] about raw experience
[166:29] the auto
[166:31] indeed miata on gr86 yeah for under 40
[166:35] grand reliable
[166:40] yeah raw and he wants raw mustang isn't
[166:43] necessarily that raw now you got to go
[166:44] up to the high-end stuff so yeah miata
[166:47] and ng already even the miata is not
[166:49] really all that raw i mean with the
[166:51] stock suspension you have to do work on
[166:53] both those cars you have to do work
[166:54] that's that was the point earlier like
[166:56] cars are not like they used to be where
[166:59] i'm just god i sound so old saying this
[167:00] but those older cars because there were
[167:02] more ship boxes they had more feel to
[167:04] them and all the new cars have to be so
[167:05] overly refined that even though they're
[167:07] the most raw cars that you can get
[167:09] they're still not raw enough you know
[167:10] you have to make changes david benz
[167:12] thank you for the five dollars senor
[167:15] filet a scott thank you for the 50
[167:17] donation thank you
[167:19] optimus 30 for five dollars
[167:22] have a
[167:24] uh
[167:25] 2016 brz want fun sub 15 000 car can
[167:30] haul a few people would focus sd work
[167:32] would love a speed three tough to find a
[167:33] good one thanks guys
[167:36] uh focus st yeah for under 15 grand
[167:38] that's a fine car can you find one for
[167:40] under 15. that's not a turd i have no
[167:41] idea well if you can i think you'll
[167:43] really like it to me that's a car again
[167:45] that needs suspension work like but i
[167:47] guess if you're getting it cheap enough
[167:48] you can get a i'm not talking about like
[167:51] you know fifteen hundred dollar
[167:53] coilovers i'm talking about like twenty
[167:55] five hundred dollars it's gen
[167:57] yeah s uh the focus st
[168:00] fiesta st is too small what else is kind
[168:02] of a
[168:03] sub a fun sub 15 000 car i mean those
[168:06] are the two that come to the top of my
[168:07] list with four doors i wouldn't get a
[168:09] subaru with a 10 foot pole at that price
[168:11] point yeah i don't agree with you on
[168:12] that i saw the hatch sti today in purple
[168:15] like like yeah you ain't getting one for
[168:17] 15. well that's like a 30 green card
[168:19] that's true sorry fifteen thousand
[168:21] dollar subaru was like a vaped out yeah
[168:23] like something like third total they've
[168:25] been totaled for the third time
[168:28] um juice springsteen for five dollars
[168:32] best ev shitbox for the wife that won't
[168:33] make me feel like an npc ev6 ionic 5
[168:36] tesla id4 or some other poorly named
[168:38] shipbox id ionic 5 is the the coolest by
[168:42] far the best cheapy and that's not cheap
[168:45] either but you'll feel like you'll want
[168:48] to drive that car i promise you oh yeah
[168:50] if you like the way that it looks
[168:51] otherwise you know then go ev6 ionic 5
[168:54] or lyric those are my two favorites okay
[168:56] he hasn't driven the lawyer i haven't
[168:57] driven the lyric and i have the the i
[169:00] need to drive it but i have my biases
[169:01] towards it already i looked at jack's
[169:03] like man it looks good and i see the
[169:04] picture i'm like looks like a
[169:06] malibu max
[169:07] you know like it does not look good to
[169:09] me i'm sorry but then again i have not
[169:10] seen it in person i've not driven it so
[169:12] it's like i'm pretty judging it so maybe
[169:14] it's great i mean it's not a perfect car
[169:16] and like in retrospect there's some
[169:17] things i don't like about the interior
[169:18] but i like that they attempted to try i
[169:20] hate all the plastic chrome
[169:22] on the interior but the
[169:23] cadillac
[169:24] um joseph will will we see
[169:29] joseph thank you for the ten dollars by
[169:30] the way will we see the arby's
[169:33] mukbang or savage geese undercover at
[169:36] street takeover i've already been on
[169:38] street taking i've been taking over
[169:39] streets for the past 20 years but for
[169:42] the event
[169:43] kidding me i run that event oh william
[169:46] parker for five dollars you will not see
[169:48] our arby's representation there they
[169:49] don't sponsor that uh
[169:51] uh
[169:52] william parker for five dollars what
[169:54] motivated you to buy an x7 or over
[169:55] something like the macan gts or
[169:57] something similar was it the size or the
[169:59] powerpoint uh it's the size it's the
[170:01] three row part of it and like that c90
[170:03] really had an amazing rear hatch that
[170:06] rear storage space was enormous for what
[170:08] it was without going to like a minivan
[170:10] the x7 was less but very similar with a
[170:13] much better drivetrain if i didn't need
[170:15] that that that space i would 100 be in a
[170:19] cayenne 100
[170:21] this person has a tremendous name cat
[170:23] jesus oh yeah for ten dollars trade in
[170:26] my lc 500 convertible for a boxster four
[170:29] liter gts i'm old and i take road trips
[170:31] yeah so i need comfort i don't know but
[170:33] i want sportiness i want more sportiness
[170:35] in the lc
[170:37] i'll get the porsche dude that's a way
[170:38] better car than the lc500 convertible
[170:41] specifically
[170:43] yes if you're coming from a convertible
[170:44] lc
[170:46] there's some really great it's not going
[170:47] to be as comfortable as lc convertible
[170:49] not even remotely close no so you're
[170:51] taking you're taking probably a 50
[170:53] reduction in comfort for 190
[170:57] improvement in drivability
[171:00] and the porsches are either very
[171:02] reliable or you're nick murray and
[171:03] they're not reliable well i know there's
[171:05] other people that have problems with
[171:06] them but i mean they're it's not like it
[171:08] used to be neil a for two dollars coming
[171:10] from a coming type r
[171:13] v versus corolla gr thoughts and
[171:15] expectations i bet you the type bar is
[171:17] faster than the corolla oh it better be
[171:20] it's got an extra cylinder
[171:22] [Laughter]
[171:23] we're talking like this is where we're
[171:25] arguing three cylinders now and
[171:27] you know if i still somehow have the c7
[171:29] grand sport i'm gonna love having both
[171:30] of those cars a 1.6 liter and a 6.2 at
[171:33] the same time
[171:35] oh i would say they're going to be
[171:36] faster than your grand sport when i get
[171:37] behind the wheel
[171:38] yeah as you jump it off autobahn yeah
[171:42] i that would i wonder how much money you
[171:44] would take to get one so like
[171:46] the grand sport around south runs a now
[171:48] runs a well i'm not the world's greatest
[171:50] driver by any means but with me behind
[171:52] the wheel i can turn like a 133 around
[171:54] south oh wow
[171:56] um i mean that's brit casey's dad's gt4
[172:00] race car you know what they ran
[172:01] i think it was like a 128 or something
[172:03] oh wow yeah yeah that's as
[172:06] moving yeah well that's a gt4 though
[172:08] yeah i know
[172:09] anyway um that was a kind of a weird
[172:13] segue there driver sl for 10
[172:16] what
[172:17] what cars do you two own and what's next
[172:19] i just sold my z28 for a zillion us
[172:21] dollars on bat
[172:23] oh wow
[172:25] z28 sold it yeah i wonder how much it
[172:27] really made
[172:28] probably a lot those cars were worthless
[172:30] for a long time like what 90 grand maybe
[172:32] you made i have no idea you probably did
[172:34] really well it's a cool car uh what do
[172:36] you own now mark x7
[172:39] s2000
[172:40] that's it right yeah for me yeah and
[172:42] your girlfriend is a rav4
[172:45] my girlfriend has a rav4 as well
[172:47] and
[172:48] i have a gr86 and a c7 grand sport
[172:52] yep
[172:53] there's probably going to get
[172:54] consolidated for me like unless
[172:56] something changes it's gonna get reduced
[172:58] probably even further i'm not driving
[173:00] the s2000 anymore
[173:02] well i am driving it but not on the
[173:03] track anymore so i'm gonna stop that i
[173:05] thought if i think if i got if money was
[173:07] okay i would try to find an nsx or a gt3
[173:10] those are about the only two cars that i
[173:12] would consider at this point if not i'm
[173:14] getting rid of that seven going to siena
[173:16] and then really going downhill from
[173:18] there i can plan for my retirement
[173:22] uh joseph thank you for the five dollars
[173:25] jeremy thanks for the ten dollars thank
[173:27] you guys for the quality in-depth
[173:29] reviews big reason i got my s2000 was
[173:30] your tribute video question is
[173:34] uh question is if you could only have
[173:35] one card for the rest of your life what
[173:36] would it be gt3
[173:40] i would make every consolidation in the
[173:42] world if i could just only own a gt3
[173:43] yeah i think that would be cool i'd
[173:45] probably mirror that and if i had no
[173:47] money was not an option maybe like a 458
[173:49] or an lfa
[173:51] for the same reasons of the gt3 just
[173:53] more money i would love to have the only
[173:54] lfa in the world of 400 000 miles yeah
[173:57] no doubt i mean i mean so the s2000 just
[173:59] briefly like how much time we have left
[174:01] five minutes
[174:03] how many questions we have a lot a lot
[174:05] um
[174:06] we're going to be doing a video on the
[174:07] nsx
[174:09] the first gen one and 92 gt3 if anyone's
[174:12] yeah yeah i agree with that um
[174:15] we're going to be doing a first gen nsx
[174:16] video and the new one is going to sneak
[174:18] in there too as a part of it but
[174:20] the goal is to have something that
[174:22] nobody's ever done before and basically
[174:24] a close-out to that era
[174:27] um
[174:28] in a way that again is probably going to
[174:30] be very long-lasting and part of my goal
[174:33] is to go back
[174:34] a little bit
[174:35] and finish the s2000 project with the
[174:38] resources that i'm gonna finally have
[174:40] hopefully this is gonna pan out and i'll
[174:42] be able to close out the s2000 era as
[174:44] well
[174:45] with uh the nsx like separate videos
[174:48] um and bow out of those and i think
[174:51] people really really find them special i
[174:53] just hope that it all works out the way
[174:54] it's supposed to
[174:56] uh going back to the questions and again
[175:00] hopefully you guys get some value out of
[175:01] this i'm really trying to answer all
[175:03] your questions and hopefully you know
[175:05] you can get your burning
[175:07] questions that you've always wanted to
[175:08] ask us answered in these things um
[175:10] that's why we do it
[175:12] uh
[175:13] jeremy
[175:14] i know i just answered jeremy's question
[175:16] i apologize
[175:17] bing bigger evo or sti
[175:24] down there that's what i meant
[175:26] can you sort by that yeah yeah um
[175:30] uh well again
[175:33] evo if you really really like i think it
[175:36] was always more considered the circuit
[175:37] car so that's why i like if it like the
[175:40] track car whereas the sti is like the
[175:42] all-arounder so if you don't like it
[175:43] tear up the tracks then that's ti
[175:46] dan knowles again thank you as always
[175:48] for your donation dan thank you buddy uh
[175:51] thanks for the ten dollars love the
[175:52] hawaii
[175:54] love these savage geese hawaiian eye
[175:56] adventures of and of note the
[175:59] superiority of the 914 clearly evident
[176:02] as the greatest porsche ever thanks 914
[176:04] was good we screwed that or i screwed
[176:06] the video up dan like that car was
[176:08] supposed to be talked about more but we
[176:10] didn't know what we were supposed to do
[176:12] and the fact that we had the six
[176:13] cylinder one was neat it was the hardest
[176:15] one to drive though it was the hardest
[176:16] one to drive but it was also the most
[176:18] engaging car to drive um the but the
[176:20] speedster really because we had the most
[176:22] footage of it and it was really cool and
[176:24] it was nice the weather was still out
[176:26] that's why we focused on that but yeah
[176:27] you're a lucky man with the nine nine
[176:29] one four the nine or four the numbers i
[176:31] was thinking nine two eight but no no
[176:32] nine one four yeah dan has a 918
[176:35] actually he's got a million dollar
[176:36] portion oh yeah
[176:38] uh seth uh hale uh for five dollars new
[176:41] m2 or civic type r
[176:44] like new civic type r the like not
[176:46] current one
[176:48] m2 or civic type r over five years
[176:51] well
[176:53] i guess i'm too because it's rear-wheel
[176:54] drive m2
[176:56] i mean i i don't that's kind of a stupid
[176:58] answer
[176:59] i like the m2 a lot i think it's a cool
[177:01] car i don't like the m2 at all
[177:03] i think i i hate that car try both
[177:04] determine what you'll like but i mean
[177:06] personally i would buy a the new ctr the
[177:09] new civic ctr over there i'm sorry the
[177:12] type r over that just because i think
[177:14] it'll i can flip that car or like people
[177:16] would still want it where's the m2 i
[177:18] actually know they'll probably both
[177:19] anyway go on all right uh i'm gonna
[177:21] speed through these we're gonna go five
[177:23] minutes over our ten or ten o'clock cut
[177:25] off to get through these questions okay
[177:27] sounds good uh thanks for being patient
[177:29] everybody as well
[177:31] uh joseph looking at thank you joseph
[177:33] for the five dollars looking at 2018 s4s
[177:36] would you take a fully loaded non-cpo or
[177:39] a lightly optioned s
[177:41] s4 get one don't get one without a
[177:44] warranty
[177:45] right cpo yeah whatever you do just get
[177:47] one with a warranty uh human means you
[177:49] can't get the options you want get one
[177:51] with the warranty yeah yeah because
[177:52] you'll enjoy it more when you're driving
[177:53] if you really want to drive it hard uh
[177:55] spartan for ten dollars since you rode
[177:58] in the gr corolla would you recommend a
[177:59] gr crawl or nd2 miata in terms of street
[178:02] enjoyment it's hard man i rode one
[178:04] rodent won as a passenger on a race
[178:06] track yeah for like four laps total i
[178:09] can't really answer that one yeah it's
[178:10] not going to tell you what it's like
[178:11] wait till august
[178:13] after we do the drive and then i will i
[178:15] will do my best to give you a real
[178:16] answer um
[178:19] joseph thank you for five dollars kevin
[178:21] thank you for the 698. matthew thank you
[178:24] for the five dollars yeah thank you
[178:25] thoughts on a budget e30 is a fun car to
[178:27] learn to drive with if you like
[178:29] wrenching it's a cool car e30 bmw the
[178:31] old box a1
[178:33] yeah didn't you do that i had an e36 oh
[178:35] i don't know the number
[178:37] yeah but it's the same mentality right
[178:39] the same thing yeah if you like
[178:40] wrenching and you really want to get
[178:41] engrossed into that that's a great car
[178:43] to do it on the noodles for five dollars
[178:45] hey guys i bought a launcher and dct a
[178:47] few weeks ago in part because of your
[178:48] review
[178:49] first performance vehicle i've owned and
[178:51] i absolutely love it congrats dude yeah
[178:53] that's an amazing first performance car
[178:55] to drive or own adrian thank you for the
[178:57] ten dollars cross shopping question does
[179:00] an m340i do anything better than a ticon
[179:04] i'm wondering if whether the m340i is
[179:07] special enough to ditch my existing car
[179:09] ford or i should keep saving for a ticon
[179:14] i wouldn't get a tycon if you're saving
[179:15] for it
[179:16] because i think it's a here and now
[179:17] product yeah agreed
[179:20] yeah yeah i i would not go outside your
[179:22] budget for a tag on it's it's a great
[179:24] car but it's not like it's the best
[179:26] driving ev but in five years yeah it's
[179:28] going to be completely forgettable in
[179:30] terms of that once it gets improved so
[179:32] yeah i mean you get a lot from the vm
[179:33] because it was about the bmw right yeah
[179:35] you're getting a lot for that rudy thank
[179:37] you for the ten dollars love both of
[179:39] your reviews especially when jack goes
[179:41] oh yeah when launching cars
[179:44] uh 2018 macan s
[179:46] or s5 weird comparison would you have an
[179:48] s5 or mcconaus
[179:54] i actually think the meccan s drives
[179:55] better dude i it does
[179:58] it does
[179:59] i shouldn't say that a fast suv drives
[180:02] better than an s5 but the s5 is like the
[180:04] thing with the s5 is it's like
[180:07] slick
[180:08] it's smooth and slick whereas the
[180:10] mcconnel is kind of like it's got the
[180:14] kind of the personality of the 718 a
[180:16] little bit like with a sports car like
[180:18] snappiness because it is
[180:20] but yeah it feels like the the macan s
[180:23] feels like a big hot hatchback yeah yeah
[180:26] yeah but you're right uh so if you want
[180:28] more of like a luxury cruiser the s is
[180:30] gonna be way better for you uh in
[180:32] cahoots for ten dollars thank you by the
[180:34] way for the ten dollars
[180:36] you guys will be happy to know i
[180:37] recently sold my oh six exterior 4x4
[180:40] manual for seven thousand dollars i
[180:42] originally paid five thousand dollars
[180:43] six years ago and i live in milwaukee
[180:46] that's how crazy the current market is
[180:47] that's nuts i would love to have seen
[180:49] what that exterior looked underneath oh
[180:51] my goodness underneath from milwaukee
[180:53] yeah yeah vm thank you for the ten
[180:55] dollars alperbach broccoli for uh
[180:58] 1967. thank you for your 520. thank you
[181:01] sir i always appreciate you always agree
[181:03] i love you sir how do you get excited or
[181:06] even just stay interested in daily
[181:07] driving on boeing flat straight roads
[181:10] with severe penalties for excess
[181:12] speeding
[181:13] i'll tell you what i do i just turn the
[181:15] wheel hard randomly in traffic
[181:17] i'll do a u-turn for no reason uh it is
[181:21] hard it really turns your brain off now
[181:23] i think some of it is the fact that we
[181:24] actually do go to the track enough not
[181:27] like we don't live there but like let's
[181:29] say we have a week or two weeks of the
[181:32] month where we have to go to the track
[181:33] it makes up for it it makes up because
[181:35] you can blow like a half day or a day
[181:37] driving these different cars and you're
[181:39] like okay i got it out of my system for
[181:41] me it's different now i i need to get
[181:43] back into wheel to wheel like harding
[181:45] because every every year that you you
[181:47] stop doing it you lose your spatial
[181:50] awareness you lose your ability to like
[181:51] decision make behind the wheel quickly
[181:54] and to me i lose so much and like when
[181:56] we go out on the track and i'm just
[181:57] driving there's nothing to set myself
[182:00] like a time means nothing to me anymore
[182:03] long block for two dollars you guys
[182:05] revisited hiring people to help out
[182:06] we're probably gonna revisit that around
[182:08] december uh kind of sign for five
[182:10] dollars i'm in debt
[182:12] and must run hedge clippings in the
[182:15] sonola home owners association what car
[182:18] is most inconspicuous to law
[182:21] while remaining fun
[182:24] malibu max
[182:25] ss
[182:28] oh man i don't know what an
[182:29] inconspicuous fun car is
[182:32] new si literally looks like a civic yeah
[182:35] that's true i mean that's that's you
[182:37] know
[182:38] that's pretty normal like what about the
[182:39] accord two leader manual that's a good
[182:41] one too that's like super sleeper and i
[182:43] mean it's probably really hard to find
[182:45] prince it's nice to see you came back
[182:46] from the dead thanks for the five
[182:48] dollars canadian thank you uh gv60
[182:50] review is incoming yes it comes out this
[182:52] friday yeah it's friday's video uh
[182:55] sergey thank you for the ten dollars how
[182:57] do you guys feel about chinese cars like
[182:59] fa gilly neo
[183:01] and light speed and uh and neo seem like
[183:04] they've come at light speed difference
[183:06] in just five years well we don't really
[183:08] have any of them here right we don't
[183:10] have any chinese dude you had a volvo
[183:12] yeah but that wasn't you know what i
[183:13] mean like yeah but i mean it wasn't a
[183:15] volvo product at that point so i i mean
[183:17] i guess we've done xc40 and xc or
[183:20] whatever the other one at c40 which are
[183:23] made in china or i think ours were um
[183:26] but that's still it's got some volvo
[183:28] parts to it so i can't really say
[183:30] uh logan for five dollars if you had
[183:32] regular office jobs what daily under 45
[183:35] gram sedan
[183:36] would you buy that's comfortable
[183:38] reliable in a normal old man car with
[183:40] some enthusiast qualities for under 45
[183:42] grand
[183:44] all right you got to answer that one tlx
[183:46] it's got some enthusiast qualities
[183:48] three series has got some enthusiast
[183:50] qualities for under 45 grand
[183:52] ah yes has got some enthusiast qualities
[183:55] yeah i mean that's a tough one i
[183:57] probably i'd probably agree with you on
[183:58] the tlx i mean it's kind of like not
[184:00] special but it is
[184:02] um yeah i would say that or 3 series
[184:05] because you can always
[184:06] can you get a manual on a three series
[184:07] now or do they kill that
[184:10] no they killed that a long time ago you
[184:12] can't get a manual in a three series
[184:13] outside of an m3
[184:15] god oh sad place to be man there's not a
[184:18] lot of fun stuff m by uh mb mbis
[184:22] frenchie five dollars do you ever have a
[184:24] deal or harass you and not take no for
[184:25] an answer
[184:27] yeah when i was younger well like i had
[184:29] a dude uh when i was i was gonna trade
[184:31] on the s2000 for a chord
[184:33] chord v6 manual coupe well and then
[184:36] didn't but the dealer would not let me
[184:38] go they tried this the guy they brought
[184:40] out three dudes they stood over me and
[184:42] said holding out their hands to shake is
[184:45] a deal and when i didn't shake their
[184:46] hand they told me that they didn't think
[184:47] i was man enough to buy this car that
[184:49] they thought i was weak and that i was
[184:51] wasting their time and that if i didn't
[184:54] buy this car they would basically kick
[184:56] my ass out of there it was so abusive
[184:59] and i just couldn't believe it was
[185:00] happening vm
[185:02] for ten dollars moved to miami for
[185:04] mother russia in 2020 at the moment i
[185:06] have a gx 460 but considering buying a
[185:08] new diesel suburban why is the truck
[185:13] why this truck is so rear
[185:16] the united states in other world
[185:19] big suv and diesel are a must have oh
[185:21] why is it so rare
[185:23] because diesels are here in the u.s
[185:26] expensive to run and operate
[185:28] the break even from gas mileage to the
[185:31] to the additional cost of the diesel to
[185:33] service costs you get more mileage but
[185:35] i'm you know it's market so our to the
[185:38] the more straight answer is we don't
[185:39] have a lot of diesel offerings here so
[185:41] there's no like option the only option
[185:44] for diesel's now are pickup trucks and
[185:45] even that's getting axed so when your
[185:48] petrol cars
[185:50] are better and your options are better
[185:52] because our four cylinders are bigger
[185:53] here too that's the other thing like the
[185:55] european like counterparts get like tiny
[185:57] ass four cylinders with no power whereas
[186:00] we're getting like the turbocharged
[186:01] bigger displacement engine so there's no
[186:03] point of having the diesels and it's
[186:04] just a cultural thing
[186:06] um
[186:08] ha feed for ten dollars love what you do
[186:11] how do you handle the delica dance of
[186:13] being objective and also grateful for
[186:14] companies that fly you out i've noticed
[186:16] some youtubers are becoming chills
[186:20] um so the best way to do it is to
[186:22] involve the oem to evolve the company
[186:24] that's making the car having them
[186:26] understand what your goal is and getting
[186:29] them if it's a controversial car like
[186:31] the integra get them to explain their
[186:33] side of the story and try to be as
[186:35] objective as you can about what it is
[186:37] from their perspective and letting the
[186:39] viewers decide as you explain the pros
[186:41] and the cons of the car um that's really
[186:44] the way that i look at it now now there
[186:46] are certain piles that are just junk
[186:48] and i typically won't go to those events
[186:51] i've told jack it's not worth me
[186:52] traveling to essentially make no money
[186:55] not give them any return
[186:57] um all right we'll move on from there uh
[186:59] gs thank you for the five dollars
[187:01] purchase the 2015 accord v6 six speed
[187:03] should i do anything to it
[187:05] uh front camber bolts
[187:08] uh chris
[187:10] i'm sorry front
[187:11] upper if it's the one that was double
[187:14] wishbone oh that was when i think they
[187:16] switched over to strut
[187:17] they had you know it was a 2015 so it's
[187:19] the last one they just said the coupe
[187:21] with the v6 yeah but they switched over
[187:23] to strut from double wishbone oh yeah
[187:24] and that was that was like in the middle
[187:26] it wasn't the two no that was i think
[187:27] the last one was 2010 and then they
[187:29] switched to strut after that so the
[187:30] upper a arms you could replace on the
[187:32] old ones with double wishbone the new
[187:34] ones you have to do camber bolts or a
[187:36] plate at the top if you get a lot more
[187:38] camber in the front of that car it is so
[187:40] much better to drive it doesn't like
[187:42] give you the one wheel peel and all that
[187:45] uh chris rudzinski
[187:48] how do i
[187:50] buy
[187:51] a car out of state i can't find a place
[187:52] to do a ppi
[187:54] how do you guys set up and find a place
[187:55] to do a ppi
[187:58] that's tough
[187:59] because you're out of state
[188:00] you're pretty much sol you got to find
[188:02] somebody that like an independent shop
[188:04] that will do it for you but you're going
[188:05] to be paying a lot like they're talking
[188:08] about uh just looking underneath or
[188:09] checking to see if there's any problems
[188:10] with it
[188:12] and then you need to like depending on
[188:13] the car like if you have a shop that
[188:16] doesn't work on that car how are they
[188:17] going to know what to look for exactly
[188:18] you know what i mean you almost have to
[188:20] if it's a specialty car you're gonna
[188:21] have to become a functional expert go
[188:23] out there and inspect it yourself
[188:24] otherwise find a like find online
[188:26] somebody that's really good that knows
[188:29] about those specific cars and try to get
[188:31] them to get involved somehow and that's
[188:32] a that's a stretch it's a lot of work
[188:36] for ten dollars looking for a
[188:37] comfortable mpc car for winter driving
[188:39] thinking a top trim subaru forester what
[188:42] other options would you recommend around
[188:43] that price range cx-5 cx-5 i would get a
[188:47] cx-5 over forester
[188:49] alex
[188:50] poto j poto jay thank you for the five
[188:53] dollars thank you for butchering your
[188:54] last name i'm donating the value of one
[188:57] depreciation piano black bullion really
[189:00] enjoyed the content and appreciate the
[189:01] effort you guys put into your videos neo
[189:03] for 20 thanks alex by the way thank you
[189:06] uh honda accord hybrid in 2023.
[189:09] is there one i don't know
[189:11] i don't know i don't know would you buy
[189:12] a honda accord hybrid i would not
[189:15] there you go i would not really buy any
[189:17] honda or any modern like current gen
[189:20] hybrid honda at this point i wouldn't
[189:22] either
[189:23] i'm sorry i would just i would just go
[189:24] straight to toyota for an appliance
[189:27] uh the accord two leader though is great
[189:29] yes
[189:30] uh john moe zesty 569 single guy dog
[189:35] plus mountain bikes go most places with
[189:37] me love driving also wind up on dirt
[189:39] lots what's out there for what's out
[189:41] there for me under 50 grand
[189:43] rav4 cx500 he loves driving
[189:46] [Music]
[189:48] runs upon
[189:49] subaru wrx
[189:51] could yeah just yeah that's a great
[189:53] driving car
[189:55] that's what i mean faux rally car golf r
[189:58] um golf r yeah all-wheel drive good
[190:00] all-wheel drive system fun to drive uh
[190:03] 13
[190:04] 13 37 pudding for five dollars gr
[190:07] corolla impressions
[190:10] i don't know man i didn't drive it i
[190:11] just wrote it and it's hard to make any
[190:14] you find out in august that's when the
[190:15] drives are supposed to be allegedly it
[190:17] should be a fun raw car that is like
[190:20] less box than some of the old like
[190:23] the fist
[190:24] you know it'll be like that elevated
[190:25] more modern more edgy probably the
[190:27] edgiest toyota hatch that they've ever
[190:29] made it'll probably be really good i'm
[190:32] sure it's good no degree for 25 what's
[190:34] your take on the mazda 2.5 turbo head
[190:36] casting failures
[190:42] i don't know i don't really have an
[190:43] opinion on it honestly
[190:45] i mean i don't know how many units did
[190:47] it affect no
[190:48] because i don't i remember hearing about
[190:50] it but i didn't see how many of it
[190:51] actually affected was it all of it
[190:54] i have no idea
[190:56] i've been kind of out of loop in the
[190:57] mazda things because we haven't done it
[190:58] because they really really were solid
[191:01] um and that like the two liters were
[191:03] hyper solid for a while so if there's if
[191:05] there's like
[191:06] more clarissa for ten dollars i'm going
[191:09] to a trip to vegas soon i can rent
[191:11] either a 2015 911 s for 179 or 2019 911
[191:17] for 289 save 100 bucks and just get the
[191:20] 2015. you're not living with it you have
[191:22] a naturally aspirated motor it's a worse
[191:24] car but you know it's a hundred dollars
[191:26] a day yeah
[191:28] uh you're probably not gonna be able to
[191:29] tell i mean you'll be able to tell a
[191:31] difference but
[191:32] if you don't drive both you don't know
[191:34] what you're missing
[191:35] um
[191:37] scooby roo can you get off the technical
[191:40] talks and hit me with some quick
[191:42] hot quirks and features already
[191:45] man i'm sorry uh senior knit oh and
[191:48] thank you for the donation by the way
[191:49] scooby-roo are you looking up the
[191:51] technical failures
[191:53] yeah
[191:53] um
[191:55] i'm gonna do like five more questions
[191:57] because
[191:58] it's like related to blown head gaskets
[192:00] and stuff that that's something that we
[192:01] would have to ask mazda honestly like
[192:03] i'm sure they would tell us like how
[192:05] about we bring that up in our cx-50
[192:07] video when we do it yeah yeah we'll talk
[192:09] to mazda about it and see how big of an
[192:10] issue is because sometimes online
[192:12] like you get a mixed bag of like people
[192:15] making it into the end of the world um
[192:17] and then it obviously is a real issue we
[192:19] just don't know how many units it
[192:20] affects
[192:21] senior nips
[192:22] uh for twenty dollars 2023 nissan z or
[192:25] manual supra
[192:27] we do a comparison test in a couple
[192:29] weeks so yeah yeah well for sure we'll
[192:32] answer that question then because i
[192:33] haven't driven them both back-to-back
[192:34] uh ha feed for 20. on the 23 c43 amg
[192:38] launch german host asked the engineer
[192:40] why they're doing so many screens
[192:42] piano black caps buttons if there was
[192:45] if it was for the cost savings they said
[192:47] no it actually costs more
[192:49] and so he then asked why do it he didn't
[192:52] get an answer
[192:53] i've been told from suppliers it costs
[192:55] less to do touch screens well not
[192:58] touchscreens haptics because you're
[193:00] releasing
[193:01] removing the physical buttons and
[193:03] controls which are more expensive to
[193:04] manufacture than just a single like
[193:07] touch membrane and a plane that has
[193:09] nothing really mechanical to it paul
[193:11] thank you for the 10 dollars jesse's
[193:12] asking uh because of our blackwing ct4
[193:15] video he bought one what's a good track
[193:18] day tire for one
[193:19] uh rs4s rival s's
[193:22] and then the neat uh the yokohama well
[193:25] that's hardcore the falcon is a good one
[193:27] yeah the falcon is a good one though the
[193:29] 6556 is it 660 666 yeah those are like
[193:32] as you get into the 200 tread wear tires
[193:34] it gets a lot more hardcore so just be
[193:36] aware like if you're if you want
[193:38] something that wears like steel like
[193:39] jack says the rs4s are like incredible
[193:42] for that they're just not the super
[193:43] sticky tire but they last a long time
[193:46] uh
[193:47] we're almost done actually uh
[193:48] [Music]
[193:51] uh landlubber for ten dollars who wins
[193:53] in a fight a duck sized m1 abrams or a
[193:56] tank sized toyota echo
[193:58] tank says toyota eco because the gauge
[194:00] cluster
[194:01] that that could that could take out a
[194:03] because you have more visibility because
[194:05] the gauge cluster is right in the center
[194:07] so you could you could beat an m1 abrams
[194:10] that's duck sized yeah because you they
[194:12] will never be able to get you
[194:13] [Laughter]
[194:15] uh chris jones thank you for the 20
[194:18] donation
[194:19] uh get like five questions left mark so
[194:21] i'll speed through these and the battery
[194:22] is gonna die on the receiver oh it is
[194:24] yeah can you guys still hear us yeah no
[194:26] it's still on it's just it's on the way
[194:28] out um
[194:30] kevin chung for five dollars mark used
[194:32] to get real angry with your car dislike
[194:35] what to do now without pissing off
[194:36] manufacturer too much to stop inviting
[194:38] you to the olive garden
[194:41] yeah
[194:42] it's gonna be tough man like now that
[194:44] we're in with ferrari they're like we've
[194:47] been at olive garden way too much like
[194:49] most of our business meetings are there
[194:51] but that makes matt that makes other
[194:52] companies mad because there's other
[194:54] restaurants he's asking why can't you
[194:55] you know you can't get angry anymore
[194:57] like you used to
[194:59] i can
[195:00] you just choose not to well i mean
[195:02] there's there's certain things that
[195:03] really piss me off and
[195:05] like there's there's just
[195:07] there's less of blatant garbage and like
[195:09] i think the eqs is about as animated as
[195:12] i'll get like that is that really this
[195:14] is trash yeah you know i mean like that
[195:17] that's type of stuff but it's rare that
[195:18] there's anything that's so bad that
[195:20] you're like what the hell is going on
[195:22] here and if i feel like people are
[195:24] really getting ripped off that triggers
[195:25] me more than anything crackdog 69 thank
[195:27] you for the five dollars
[195:29] kg have a 2005 330 zhp i'm ready to take
[195:34] a lashing for being a bmw nerd but i'm
[195:36] glad
[195:37] i have it as a throwback to when daily
[195:39] drivers are also fun will fun dailies
[195:41] come back before ice dies in your
[195:43] opinions
[195:45] uh
[195:45] for some brands yeah for others now i
[195:47] think some of it's like the the dying
[195:49] breath for certain of these brands the
[195:50] launch runs a good daily driver
[195:53] well i mean basically our whole daily
[195:54] driver comparison test video the
[195:56] subcompacts all those cars are kind of
[195:57] fun well n is going electric that's the
[196:00] so they've already said that they're
[196:01] going electric so yes the laundry on is
[196:03] the last so every brand is going to kind
[196:05] of have their their like see you later
[196:07] before we move on to something else the
[196:09] bigger brands that can get away with it
[196:11] from regulation standpoint they'll
[196:12] probably continue some of the stuff but
[196:14] yeah i mean we're at the end of it
[196:16] unless something changes like globally
[196:18] changes with regulations matt hayes just
[196:20] asked first mod for a stock 2013 frs
[196:23] under 1500 other than exhaust brake pads
[196:25] and fluid
[196:27] tires and alignment he already said
[196:28] tires so then alignment capability
[196:30] camber plates yeah yeah stuff to get if
[196:32] you can get more camber in the front of
[196:33] that car like two and a half degrees
[196:35] it's going to make that car so much
[196:36] better
[196:37] a scooby roof for five dollars what did
[196:40] you feel during alicia's alicia keys
[196:43] song for the eqs i you know i watched
[196:45] that so many times in editing and i
[196:46] wanted to put in more because it was so
[196:48] horrible i wanted to torture people with
[196:49] it that's when you get to a level of
[196:52] marketing and that's why i hate some of
[196:53] the eqs stuff you get to the level of
[196:56] utter contempt and disregard and
[196:58] disconnect between the real world and
[197:00] marketing and that's what that
[197:02] car was it was like catering having
[197:04] celebrities in it to market a car that
[197:07] made no connection to the real world
[197:09] it's nauseating and that alicia keys
[197:11] thing is like that that she's pretty
[197:13] smart that girl she's talented in terms
[197:15] of music and all that stuff and she says
[197:17] she's an activist that makes no sense of
[197:20] like a brand integration for me and that
[197:22] song though i hopefully everybody listen
[197:24] to it this is the last question i'm
[197:27] gonna say thank you guys all for staying
[197:29] with us through all of this yeah thank
[197:31] you hopefully this didn't put you to
[197:32] sleep i apologize for running 16 minutes
[197:35] over
[197:36] but a gentleman asked what is the best
[197:41] connected rear wheel drive driver's car
[197:42] for under 40 thousand dollars
[197:46] and i can't tell you sedan too oh god
[197:49] does that even exist anymore
[197:51] well it's got to be a bummer right if
[197:54] could you get an e90 m3 for under 40
[197:56] grand that isn't a piece of
[197:59] probably if you used it would be high
[198:00] mileage it would be like 90 000 miles
[198:03] used that would be that but if it's new
[198:05] you're sol the right one yeah so from
[198:08] from a used perspective yeah that's it
[198:10] it's like the that the holden pile which
[198:12] yeah uh or whatever
[198:14] chevy ss yeah that rear wheel drive
[198:17] um
[198:18] i know i'm probably missing something i
[198:20] guess the z you could count yeah i mean
[198:22] that's not four-door oh yeah sorry i
[198:24] keep forgetting
[198:26] what other four-door piles are there oh
[198:28] he said uh raw rear-wheel drive driver's
[198:30] car under 40 oh wow okay and it's not a
[198:33] daily i'm sorry i paid and i misread
[198:34] your question s2000 s2000 is under 40.
[198:37] that's great
[198:39] um
[198:41] boss 302 mustang yeah it's very some of
[198:43] the hardcore mustangs for sure i mean uh
[198:46] that's can you get an ss1 i'll leave for
[198:47] under 40. like you use no not anymore
[198:50] maybe you could but probably high
[198:51] mileage
[198:52] i i still say the e90
[198:55] m3 would be a really good like
[198:58] barn find you know what i mean like
[199:01] and i you know i think you get a right
[199:02] bmw mechanic to do all the maintenance
[199:04] on that you can have a lot of fun with
[199:05] that car for use you just need to do
[199:07] some work

[199:38] uh put it on the patreon stuff and we'll
[199:40] get through that that's probably going
[199:41] to take us like five hours and in a week
