What's your name, age, and where are you from? >> Dale Karen, and I'm from Santa Barbara, California, and I'm 45 years old. >> Is this your first Iron Man or have you competed before? >> It's my third Iron Man 70.3 and I did a full Iron Man a couple years ago, too. >> What's the difference between the full and the half? >> So, the full is 140 mi. So, it's a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mi bike ride, and a marathon 26.2. >> What was your time today? >> 555 or something like that. >> Any advice for people who want to do their first Iron Man? Just don't think and sign up cuz then you know you'll do it. If you pay 6 months out and you get some crazy friends to do it with you, you'll do it. >> How do you find a group of friends that also want to do things like this? >> My local triathlon club. Have a midlife crisis. Find some other people in midlife crisis.
