# How to Start an Online Store with 10,000 Riyals

> Source: [How to Start an Online Store with 10,000 Riyals](https://youtube.com/watch?v=6yEpqtjacLE)

## Summary

The video provides a practical, budget-conscious guide for aspiring e-commerce entrepreneurs, specifically targeting those with a starting capital of less than 10,000 Saudi Riyals. It outlines a step-by-step strategy focused on minimizing upfront costs and leveraging proven methods to launch a successful online store quickly.

### Key Points

- **Avoid Unnecessary Spending** [00:02] — The most common mistake is wasting money on non-essential items, which leads to losses before making a single sale. The advice is to avoid unnecessary expenses from the start.
- **Product Selection Strategy** [00:18] — Instead of inventing a new product, find a successful product in the market and improve upon it slightly. This allows you to capture an existing market share rather than creating a new one.
- **Use Google Ads for Immediate Sales** [00:34] — For quick sales, focus on Google Ads because users searching there have high purchase intent. This is contrasted with social media, which is better for demand generation and creating a need.
- **Implement Local Dropshipping** [00:49] — To avoid inventory costs, partner with a local supplier. When an order is received, forward it to the supplier, who ships it directly to the customer. This 'local dropshipping' model saves significant capital.
- **Minimize Design and Platform Costs** [01:05] — Don't overspend on store design; use a ready-made template for 200-300 riyals or hire a freelancer. For the platform, use Salem for under 300 riyals/month in the Gulf, or Shopify for under $30/month for a global audience.
- **Expected Outcome** [01:19] — By following this plan, a store with less than 10,000 riyals can start selling and generating profit within the first month.

### Conclusion

The video concludes that with a strategic, low-cost approach focusing on proven products, paid ads, and dropshipping, it is possible to launch a profitable e-commerce store with minimal capital.

than 10,000 riyals in capital? The biggest mistake merchants make is wasting their money on unnecessary things, and in the end, they incur costs and lose money even before selling a single product. So, start by not spending your money on things that are not necessary. In the beginning, I will give you a smart plan to start right and create a store that sells from
day one. The first point is this secret that I learned from seven years of experience in choosing a successful product. The secret is not that you reinvent the wheel or think of an idea that no one has thought of before you, but rather that you start where others left off. Look for a successful product in the market at your level, take it and extend it even a little, then start with it and you
will gain a direct market share. The second thing is, if you want to sell today rather than tomorrow, focus on Google ads. Why? Because those who search on Google have a buying intention, so be prepared to work, unlike social media, which is mostly based on creating a need or demand generation. Thirdly, provide
your products without any initial cost. If your budget is limited, you don't need to store products or buy merchandise. Simply agree with a local supplier in your city, and when you receive an order, you send it to the supplier, who then ships it directly to your customer. This is what I call local dropshipping, and it will save you a
significant amount of capital. Fourthly, don't spend too much on store design. Get a ready-made template for 200 or 300 riyals, or you can even hire a freelancer to design the entire store for you at very low costs. Fifthly, the platform you will sell on. If you are in Saudi Arabia or the
Gulf, the Salem platform will cost you less than 300 riyals per month. The same applies if your target is global; go with Shopify, which will cost you less than $30 per month. If you follow these points, this plan will not only open a store but also help you succeed. A store with less than 10,000 riyals will start selling and making money in the
first month, God willing. If you know someone who wants to open a store with minimal capital, or perhaps even partner with them, store with minimal capital, or perhaps even partner with them, share this with them.
