[0:00] actually here's a piece of advice to [0:01] anyone who wants to be Tu or is like new [0:02] if I go to your Twitter and I just see [0:04] flaton images of your model I'm going to [0:06] get the impression that it's not rigged [0:07] and I couldn't watch you anywhere and [0:09] you're not ready yet now if that's the [0:10] truth and you like this person of in [0:12] your bio like debut TBA that's fair but [0:14] you're not going to get much out of this [0:15] effort make content don't worry about it [0:17] right now come up with ideas watch other [0:19] people's content script out things that [0:22] you want to record later when your model [0:23] is done and then as soon as your model [0:24] is done record all those videos or those [0:27] shorts or whatever and uh and go for it [0:30] right like then you start posting it [0:31] you'll get way more mileage out of using [0:33] using your time that way they made a [0:34] whole post where they did a Showcase of [0:36] their model where they just zoomed in on [0:38] several like details of it and it's five [0:41] likes and they're posting stuff like [0:42] this every day and I'm looking at it and [0:44] I'm like you could you could instead of [0:45] like cropping on these and then posting [0:46] it doesn't take that much time but like [0:47] use that time on uh scripting I think [0:50] content outside of Twitter right uh all [0:52] of it I think posting content on Twitter [0:53] is still good and then the other piece [0:54] of advice I want to give is this person [0:56] reposts like people that they seem to be [0:58] friends with like all of their posts so [1:00] when I scroll through their Twitter I [1:01] see like a million retweets of other [1:04] vtubers that aren't them I think it's [1:06] okay to retweet some of your friends [1:08] stuff but if you retweet so much of it [1:09] that I see more of other vtubers faces [1:12] and content on your Twitter than seeing [1:15] you then I I do not learn anything about [1:17] you when I scroll and I'll stop [1:18] scrolling after a few posts right I [1:19] can't tell who you are I don't know what [1:20] your content is I don't know what you're [1:21] about at all so if you retweet a lot and [1:24] you don't post enough of your own stuff [1:25] to to have it in between every post Then [1:27] I then I'm like what is this this person [1:30] even do anything you know you look like [1:31] you only retweet stuff and maybe you [1:33] stream but I wouldn't even know that cuz [1:34] I wouldn't see any posts related to it [1:36] you know what I mean like and if you [1:37] want to support someone retweeting isn't [1:38] going to help that much but but replying [1:40] and liking will still retweeting does [1:42] still kind of help but uh if you don't [1:44] have a huge following it doesn't do much [1:46] but if you reply it will do more for [1:48] that person by giving them another like [1:50] you know number up on the reply count [1:52] for engagement than retweeting it to you [1:54] know 500 people there are ways that you [1:56] can just uh support more heavily in my [1:58] opinion without making your own stuff [2:00] look like you know a whole lot of [2:01] nothing basically you just you just [2:03] don't want to give people the wrong [2:04] impression that they go to your Twitter [2:05] and they think you don't do anything if [2:06] you don't have any anything to show [2:08] don't spend your time trying to promote [2:09] nothing because you have nothing start [2:12] like I said start scripting stuff or or [2:13] just watching other content and getting [2:15] that stuff in your brain right just get [2:17] all of that in your brain so you start [2:18] to understand what what you'd like to do [2:20] what you'd like to try and now you have [2:22] a list of things to try as soon as [2:23] you're actually like you know your [2:25] models done you're making content or [2:26] whatever to be honest become content [2:28] pilled yeah it takes a long time to [2:29] develop that so it' be good content [2:31] should be posted to Twitter for the [2:32] express reason of getting people off [2:34] Twitter to your channel yeah yeah [2:35] exactly you don't want to get twitter [2:37] followers who are just going to be [2:38] Twitter followers it doesn't get you [2:39] anything you can't sell anyone anything [2:41] through Twitter uh you can reply a lot [2:43] and have people enjoy you but they're [2:45] not going to watch other stuff now if [2:47] you're just doing this as a hobby and [2:48] you don't really want to monetize it [2:49] nothing wrong with that don't worry [2:50] about it I don't think you should go [2:52] into it thinking you're going to [2:53] monetize it unless you're like already [2:55] at that point of being able to kind of [2:57] but you know if you switch to that kind [2:58] of mode and you're like I do maybe want [3:00] to do this as a job I think I think I'd [3:02] enjoy it and I want to at least have it [3:04] fund itself right so it's like maybe [3:06] like a serious hobby for you maybe not a [3:07] job job you got to start thinking about [3:09] it differently you know what I mean a [3:10] lot of YouTubers got it into their mind [3:12] that they have to be streamers and they [3:15] they like all try to become streamers [3:16] and I don't think it's the right route [3:18] for everyone especially because like [3:19] streaming takes a lot of hours to get [3:21] anything out of it but you could spend [3:22] arguably fewer hours just making a [ __ ] [3:24] ton of shorts and be a short SC straight [3:26] up why not why not just do that first [3:29] why honestly why stream for your first [3:32] like 6 months but why stream in your [3:34] first couple of months instead of just [3:37] purely doing like shorts and some videos [3:39] and things and then start streaming if [3:41] you want to stream right I think if I if [3:43] I started today I'd do that shorts are [3:46] iffy everything's iffy well that's [3:48] literally everything's iffy I mean only [3:49] like 0 1% of people even make it in [3:51] content at all but you have more of a [3:53] chance of being randomly found when you [3:55] have nothing on YouTube versus then on [3:58] doing that on Twitch or Twitter right [3:59] just it's just like it it's so hard to [4:02] make it work out when you have nothing [4:03] on those platforms whereas on YouTube If [4:05] you make a fresh account and you start [4:06] posting stuff as long as that stuff is [4:08] good YouTube always like tries to give [4:10] you some recommendations at least to [4:11] start with so uh I feel like that's like [4:14] it's less timec consuming and it's a [4:15] better spot to put your energy into and [4:17] then if it starts to work or it doesn't [4:19] work or maybe certain things work you [4:20] can figure out your content and really [4:22] think about it critically right but if [4:24] you're just like I'm going to poo stream [4:25] I'm going to get a model and I'm just [4:26] going to stream and I'm just going to do [4:27] that for months and and you're not [4:28] really streaming to many people you [4:29] don't have have enough viewers or people [4:32] around commenting on things to get [4:33] really good feedback to know what's [4:35] working it's like not enough of a data [4:36] set right so it's hard to figure out [4:38] like what you should be doing and I [4:41] think you know arguably if it's a hobby [4:42] you should just do whatever you want but [4:43] at the same time if if you do intend to [4:45] grow cuz people say they don't want to [4:46] grow or you know I'd say nine nine out [4:48] of 10 times they're lying they would [4:49] like it they're just trying to not look [4:51] like they want money cuz that's fair not [4:53] everyone's trying to make a money thing [4:54] they all want it to grow so that they [4:55] can feel like they're doing a good job [4:56] right I think it's good to do something [5:00] where you potentially at least can grab [5:03] more people seeing it so you get more [5:04] feedback so you know what to improve on [5:06] right you could grab a PNG up and down [5:08] like Macha and do comedy skits like Hara [5:10] yeah you don't even you don't even need [5:12] any look at all the YouTubers that just [5:13] do content with their voice only and [5:15] some random images like you could do [5:17] that to sort of like get used to being a [5:20] content creator and learning how to do [5:21] it do the thing and then later on decide [5:24] if you even want that other stuff why [5:26] shorts over longer videos making longer [5:28] videos scripting them out everything is [5:30] hard it's hard to make quality videos [5:32] like that um there's a reason why most [5:33] streamers their only videos are just [5:35] stream highlights and not like things [5:37] made for YouTube like white glove [5:40] YouTube only content kind of thing also [5:42] yeah the shorts algo is a bit more [5:43] forgiving it's a bit more forgiving it's [5:45] it's more likely to be launched a little [5:47] bit but yeah shorts because they are [5:49] short they're a little easier to make um [5:51] and you don't have to script out a long [5:53] thing so if you have an idea but you [5:54] don't know how to make that idea into 10 [5:56] minutes of content you know we'll make [5:57] it into like 30 seconds boom right right [5:59] so I think if you are a content creator [6:01] starting out and you don't really know [6:02] that much about content you're much [6:04] better off trying to just make shorts [6:05] workout for you and then from there [6:07] maybe doing a bigger video If you start [6:08] off with long videos I think most people [6:10] have a hard time poony yeah longer [6:11] content takes more time to produce yeah [6:13] cuz you could [ __ ] out like 20 shorts or [6:15] you could make like one long video that [6:17] might not get picked up by the algo and [6:18] you just end up wasting more time [6:20] whereas you could build up your Channel [6:21] with shorts very slowly but maybe if [6:23] you're consistent you can build [6:24] something and then try releasing a long [6:26] video and it'll have way more of a [6:28] chance because at least you have some [6:29] sub subcribers right I don't know I'm [6:31] just trying to think about like what's [6:32] most efficient here cuz most people when [6:34] they're starting out they're college [6:35] students and they should not be devoting [6:37] their life to content they should be [6:39] devoting their life to college or [6:41] they're in like their first job or two [6:43] and they're working and they don't have [6:44] time to like go crazy on content so I [6:47] don't know I think you're just better [6:48] off uh making some damn shorts to be [6:51] honest record 1 hour of Minecraft and [6:52] chop it into 10minute videos dude the [6:54] Minecraft algo goes [ __ ] crazy if you [6:57] like Minecraft and you could play a lot [6:59] of hour of it just be a Minecraft [7:01] content creator don't even don't even be [7:02] like I'm going to be a variety of [7:03] YouTuber just go [ __ ] make Minecraft [7:05] videos and be happy I you you'll have a [7:07] great time I promise so it seems like [7:09] the meta for Content changes every [7:10] couple weeks so it's very hard uh so [7:13] here's the problem why you shouldn't [7:15] look at the meta too much The Meta [7:17] changes or it looks like it changes [7:19] because a few people doing a certain [7:21] thing pop off those people were usually [7:23] doing that certain thing for a while and [7:25] then the Alo started to like it but [7:27] consistency is still King right because [7:30] if you make if you do a monthly YouTube [7:32] video of a certain type it's it's [7:34] specifically a relaxing ASMR Minecraft [7:37] Long play it's a 2hour video of you [7:39] playing Minecraft with a million shaders [7:40] on and and it's only Minecraft sounds no [7:43] commentary right there you go your [7:45] channel has a stick that could work [7:47] people might see one of those videos [7:48] work out and they're like oh my God this [7:50] is the meta now for Minecraft creators [7:51] no they are also people like cam who we [7:53] were just on block wars with the other [7:55] day who just make Minecraft shorts and [7:57] they focus on literally shorts and and [7:59] his actually let me show you let me use [8:01] him as an example he's such a good [8:03] example of someone who like found their [8:05] Niche through being consistent when you [8:07] go to his oldest videos you sort by [8:10] oldest and you look at what worked you [8:12] know what worked out for him now he [8:14] deleted some old [ __ ] that didn't work [8:15] out I'll just say that but he took the [8:16] stuff that did work out and he kept [8:18] repeating it and it looks like this how [8:20] far can you fall in Minecraft the most [8:21] damaged in Minecraft the strongest [8:23] Minecraft mob three of these videos the [8:25] rarest blank in Minecraft right there's [8:27] there's a a huge level of con [8:29] consistency to what he did right and [8:31] like not going to lie if I liked one of [8:33] these shorts I would instantly sub to [8:34] this channel without watching the other [8:36] shorts because I would look at how [8:38] they're all like the same type of [8:39] content and I'd be like wow that's [8:42] reliable I know that that thing I liked [8:44] I'm going to find more of it I'm going [8:45] to hit sub right and it would [ __ ] it [8:48] would work it would work on me but if I [8:49] went to his channel and it was like a [8:50] bunch of Minecraft stuff but it was all [8:52] wildly different I'd be like I might not [8:54] get that thing that I liked that first [8:55] brought me here so I don't know if I'm [8:57] going to press the the sub button so I [8:59] don't know people will be like Oh The [9:00] Meta changes but I think you just should [9:02] do a thing and the moment one thing [9:03] works keep doing that one thing there [9:05] you go that's your personal meta it [9:07] doesn't mean it's the meta you know what [9:08] I'm saying and make sure it's a thing [9:10] you like doing
