[00:02] phone, and you've got three new Etsy notifications. You just made your first three sales overnight. What's crazy is the listings that sold only took you a few minutes to create after work earlier this week, and you haven't even told [00:16] your friends or family that you opened an Etsy shop. You didn't do any silly TikTok dances, and you definitely didn't run a Facebook ad. All three sales were from real, random customers. Now, imagine that happening 10 times a day, [00:30] then 20 times a day, then 30 times a day. Here's the truth. Right now, that's not your reality. You've either been wanting to start an Etsy print-on-demand shop and still haven't opened it, or you did start, uploaded some designs, and [00:44] you've barely made any sales. If that's you, this video is for you. We're Lauren and Connor, we've done over $3 million in sales on Etsy. In fact, we did over $1 million just last year alone. Here's our real 1099 tax form from Etsy to [00:59] prove it. So, the question is, how can you do this, too? How can you go from zero to your first sales on Etsy? Or from a few sales to consistent daily sales? In this video, we're going to walk you through every single step to [01:14] start making consistent daily sales on Etsy. Our goal is to get you to take action and take you from zero to your first $1,000 a month on Etsy. And why is that? Because most people never actually take action, even after watching tons of [01:29] YouTube videos. They get paralyzed, they overthink, and they let fear prevent them from ever really starting. And why only $1,000? Because you're at zero right now, or you're close to zero right now. And we [01:43] need to start with a realistic goal. Once you make your first $1,000 on Etsy, it's much easier to get to $10,000 a month, $30,000 a month, and eventually $100,000 a month, just like us. But, we need to start somewhere, and [01:59] $1,000 is your first big milestone. So, if you've been waiting for a sign, then this is it. This video will be different. No fluff, no confusion, just straight action. This video is broken into three parts. In part one, we'll [02:15] talk about why Etsy is a huge opportunity right now. Then, in part two, we'll share our Etsy business plan with you. And in part three, we'll lay out the plan for you to go from zero to your first $1,000 month on Etsy. [02:28] Remember, this video is about taking action. So, grab your notebook and let's get started. To start, we need to talk about why Etsy and why print on demand. So, why Etsy? Etsy is an online marketplace where 100 million active [02:43] buyers come each year. Those buyers come to the marketplace ready to buy. Meaning, the demand is already there. We just need to create awesome products that those customers want to buy. And they'll buy. [02:57] If it sounds simple, it's because it is. You don't need to learn how to run Facebook ads, or create a new Instagram account, or even do any silly TikTok dances. You just create products customers want to buy, list them for [03:10] sale, and those customers buy. Etsy is the single best opportunity for new business owners, in our opinion. If you have no business experience, that's completely fine. Etsy makes billions of dollars each year [03:23] their marketplace. When you combine Etsy with print on demand, it creates a huge opportunity with almost no risk, other than the time you spent. In most businesses, you need to spend a [03:37] lot of money to get started. To buy inventory or equipment, or even pay for ads when there's no guarantee you'll find any real customers. before they even get their first customer. [03:50] But, not with print on demand on Etsy. you can get started for less than $100. Etsy charges a small fee to open up your shop, and then you'll need some basic tools like Canva to create designs, maybe some mock-up images to showcase [04:03] your product, and a subscription to your print on demand production partner. So, that leads us to the next question. Why print on demand? Print on demand is simply a business model where custom products, like t-shirts, tumblers, or [04:17] ornaments, are printed and shipped only after a customer makes a purchase. By partnering with production partners like Printify or Inner Circle Prints, who integrate directly with Etsy, you eliminate the need for inventory and [04:30] never need to make or ship the products yourself. Print on demand has given us time, location, and financial freedom. The freedom to work when we want to and from wherever we want to. To both be home to raise our son together, while [04:45] building a successful online business. There's a link down below to Printify and Inner Circle Prints, which are the two suppliers we personally use to fulfill our orders. But first, let's talk about what's possible. We showed [04:59] you our 1099 tax form earlier and how we did over $1 million in a single year on Etsy. But what's possible and realistic for you if you're just starting? You likely won't make $1 million over the next 12 months. It took us 5 and 1/2 [05:15] years to get to that level. But what is possible is that you can start making possible is that you can start making sales right away and lay the foundation for a successful online business that eventually can give you that time, [05:27] location, and financial freedom it's given us. Lisa and Steve did exactly that. Lisa and Steve recently opened a brand new Etsy shop and generated their brand new Etsy shop and generated their first $1,000 in just 4 weeks and over [05:41] $7,000 within the first 12 weeks. Lorena sold over $115,000 on Etsy within her first eight months of working with us. And almost ninety three thousand just during the peak thirty days of the Christmas season. But don't [05:56] listen to us. Here's a clip from an interview we did with Lorina herself. I interview we did with Lorina herself. I was getting five orders a day, which was amazing, so exciting. Um, went to ten orders. [06:08] And then all of a sudden on the weekends, it went to about thirty orders a day just on the weekends. There was a big influx. And it just kept going and I wasn't expecting it at all. It went to fifty orders a day, sixty, seventy [06:22] orders. Eventually, it went to over a hundred orders a day. Um, and I think this is in the span of just a a couple of weeks. It went from like zero to a hundred a day. Chris and Tracy did a hundred and five thousand [06:36] dollars in their first twelve months of working with us. And over fifty one thousand just during the peak thirty days of the Christmas season. But don't listen to us. Here's a clip from an interview we did with Chris and Tracy. [06:49] Uh, Tracy was saying around Halloween, things like we noticed like things picking up. And then once we hit November, Yeah. it was like the orders started coming through and I remember um, we had [07:03] a few ornaments and I messaged you and I'm like, "What is going on? I'm like, eight and they're they're like non-stop. I'm like, they they won't stop. I'm like, I'm like, "Is this Q4?" And I remember you saying, This is the [07:18] >> Yeah, buckle up because [laughter] it's it's just starting. And you you were right. I mean, We could share dozens of other examples of people we've worked with who have been successful on Etsy. Like Scott, [07:32] who's built a six-figure Etsy side hustle while still working full-time. Or Lynn, who wants to be a digital nomad and move to Bali. She has built a six-figure Etsy business and now does consistently 30 to $50,000 months. [07:46] with Lynn. Then November I did 22k, but then in Then November I did 22k, but then in December I hit 50,000. And so I was just so surprised cuz I went from, you know, in September hitting like 8k and then [07:59] all the way up to 50,000 in December and that was business. Or Adam, who scaled to $10,000 months in Or Adam, who scaled to $10,000 months in just 4 months. The point is, these are [08:13] all normal people just like you with full-time jobs and families and life commitments. But they've chosen to spend the little free time they have to build an online Etsy business. And their hard work has paid off. In [08:27] million-dollar per year Etsy business plan with you. We'll start with a high-level overview to give you an idea of the full plan. to focus right now to hit your first [08:39] So, our million-dollar per year Etsy business plan looks something like this. In the center, we have our goal, to create a $1 million per year Etsy business. But before we go any further, [08:51] we just want to remind you, this isn't theory. We showed you our real 1099 tax form earlier. And this is the exact plan that we followed to get there. We should also mention that we sell on Etsy to make money, to make a profit. If you're [09:06] here for just a hobby or a creative outlet, this probably isn't for you. there for that kind of stuff. And if you don't align with us, that's fine, too. Just realize that most of the Etsy YouTubers actually don't sell on [09:21] Etsy anymore. They might have years ago, but they don't actually do the thing They probably never got to the level that you want to get to. We only mention that to warn you that a lot of the information out there is a [09:35] We started our YouTube with one mission, to make success on Etsy attainable for anyone willing to put in the work. And we make these videos to share what's worked for us, what hasn't worked, and what we're actively doing today on Etsy. [09:49] So, the plan is broken into three phases. The first phase we call starter. And that's where you go from zero to $1,000 After the starter phase, we have what we call the scalar phase. Where you take [10:03] what's working and scale that to 10 to $30,000 per month. Phase three is called operator. Where you eventually hire and train a team to help you continue to grow. The scalar and operator phases may seem way out of [10:16] reach right now. But remember, this is just a high-level overview of the plan. We're going to zoom in on the starter phase in just a minute. Within each phase, there are three core areas. In the starter phase, you have research and [10:29] choosing your product. Then you build some assets like your product listing images. And finally, you're ready to create and launch your product and listings on Etsy. As you move to the scalar phase, you [10:41] scale your Etsy ads while optimizing for profitability. You fix broken listings by unlocking constraints preventing you from making more sales. And you optimize processes to allow you to take on more sales than ever. Eventually, you have so [10:55] many orders. And the only way you could possibly continue to grow is to hire In the operator phase, you hire your Then you train them and delegate responsibility. You lead them and [11:07] eventually multiply yourself so your business can grow faster than ever. The plan is in a circle because each time you launch a new product, you go through the starter phase again. You may go from starter to scalar and [11:21] back to starter many times before ever needing to enter the operator phase and hire someone. Again, this is just a high-level overview of our million-dollar per year Etsy business plan. [11:33] understanding. What's most relevant for you right now is the starter phase. And that's what we'll talk about in part three. But first, it's probably helpful to know that most Etsy sellers never make it [11:45] past the starter phase. So you might want to understand why do people in the starter phase fail on Etsy? We want to share these common struggles so that you can avoid them. Because we want you to be successful and we're sure [11:58] you do, too. So, here are the top three reasons new Etsy sellers fail so that you can avoid making the same mistakes. Mistake number one is that Etsy sellers often try to sell things that real customers don't want. They don't verify [12:13] that there is demand for what they are trying to sell. In other words, that to buy exactly what they are trying to This seems obvious, but it wasn't obvious to us when we first started on [12:25] Etsy. And we still see many sellers making this mistake. They try to sell products that not enough people are searching for or create designs they like rather than designs a very specific customer will like. Mistake number two [12:39] is that new Etsy sellers try to sell more than one product at the same time. They dabble in t-shirts, maybe add some tote bags, and then maybe some ornaments around Christmas time. They chase the next hot product or niche [12:52] that they see on a YouTube video. And the bouncing back and forth prevents them from ever finding any real success. Because they never stayed focused long enough to become an expert in that one product or customer. [13:05] This isn't 2020 anymore. The level of competition on Etsy is far greater. The quality of your listings needed to win is much higher. And the fastest way to success is to go all out on one thing. And finally, mistake number three is [13:21] that most Etsy sellers don't do nearly enough. They don't do enough research, create enough designs, or post enough new listings. They open a new Etsy shop, post a few listings, and then sit around and wait for something to happen. [13:36] And when nothing happens, they get sad, and eventually they quit. Remember, you are here to build a business, not a fun hobby. If you truly want to succeed on Etsy, it's going to take more work than you think. But you can do it. You can [13:51] build a successful print on demand business on Etsy, just like we've done, and just like the students we've shared have done. None of us are special. None of us just got lucky. We all put in the hard work, and you can do it, too. This [14:06] isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. It's a real business, and what we teach is based on real business principles, and what we actually do in our own Etsy business today. Hey, real quick. You've seen our plan now, and you might be [14:19] wondering, where do I fall within this plan? Well, Lauren and I have created a six-stage roadmap that maps out exactly what you should be focused on right now in your print on demand business. It's going to map out exactly what you should [14:31] be focused on, what problems you're likely facing in your business right now, and what you need to do to graduate to the next stage in your business. It's guys. There's going to be a link down in the description, but don't grab it right [14:45] now. Let's finish the rest of the video, and it'll be there at the end. In part three, we're going to deep dive into the starter phase. But if you haven't opened your Etsy shop yet, now is the time to do so. It's super easy to set up. Etsy [14:58] will walk you through a few basic questions to get you set up. And remember, Etsy makes billions of dollars each year to make it easy for almost anyone to sell on Etsy. It's meant to be easy and quick for you to set up. You [15:12] can do this. If you haven't opened your shop, decide to open it today. This is your sign. Now, as a reminder, the starter phase looks like this. The first step is to choose your product. But we always start with research. Because we [15:26] something that real customers actually buy. Otherwise, you'll always struggle to make sales. To choose a product, we follow our proven products test. It's a simple, common sense test that helps you choose your product. It looks something [15:42] like this. The P is for POD supplier, meaning that you can easily find a reliable print on demand production partner to fulfill the product you're wanting to sell. R stands for real customer, meaning that [15:54] there are real customers on Etsy already looking for your product. O stands for obvious gift, meaning that the product could be a great gift. Doesn't absolutely need to be a gift, but most of the great products we see on [16:06] Etsy are giftable products. V stands for verified demand, meaning that you can verify that there's demand on Etsy for the product. E stands for everyone I know has one. Friends, family, and neighbors, they all [16:20] have one of these. Think of products like t-shirts, coffee mugs, ornaments. full of t-shirts. They probably have a cabinet in their house full of coffee mugs. And almost everyone in America [16:33] ornaments on a Christmas tree around Christmas time. N stands for niches and a lot of them, meaning that there's potential to expand into many niches, hopefully over 100 plus niches within your product [16:46] category. After the proven products test, we still have some more work to do. If the product passes the proven products test, we then assess the product based on five criteria. Demand, profit margin, competition, scalability, [17:00] and level of effort. By ensuring our product meets the five criteria, we know that our time spent will be worthwhile. Many Etsy sellers completely miss this. They chase a random hyped up product they see on a YouTube video, not [17:14] realizing that the product has serious flaws preventing them from ever finding success. The margins end up being too low, demand is lacking, or whatever it is, they overlook the obvious flaws and waste months or countless hours. We want [17:29] you to choose the right product from the start and set yourself up for success. So, follow our proven product success and assess your products using the five criteria. Hey, sorry to interrupt our own video, but if you've been watching [17:42] this and you're wondering how you can work with us, there's a link down below to a doc with more details about our starter system. It's our 12-week group sellers to get them to their first $1,000 month on Etsy. You get 11-plus [17:56] hours of video lessons showing you our exact process step-by-step, a full 12-week plan mapping out exactly what to do each day for the next 12 weeks, and you get all of our templates and tools, like this product selection worksheet to [18:11] help you choose your product. The spots are limited each month, and we intentionally keep small so it's effective and so you get the results you want. If you're interested, click the link below, otherwise let's get back to [18:24] the video. Once you've chosen your product, we still have more research to do. Again, most Etsy sellers completely skip this part. They jump straight into spend the next couple weeks doing more research and getting things ready [18:39] listing at all. We first want to get really smart on our product category. We want to learn everything that we can about it, and we want to learn from the shops that have successfully sold this product on Etsy [18:52] We use a research tool called Everbee to do that research. Everbee gives us estimates for the number of sales that each listing has made on Etsy. The goal here isn't to find listings to copy. It's to pinpoint where the demand lies, [19:07] and specifically which niches within our product have the most potential, so that we know where to spend our time when we're ready to create our own In Everbee, we use a feature called the shop analyzer, which allows us to [19:20] extract the estimated sales data for the top shops selling the specific product We then study this data to identify those high potential niches. What we're left with is a simple list of usually hundreds of micro niches that we [19:35] can also list products for. This becomes our to-do list. And it gives you the confidence that everything you work on going forward is worth your If other shops are making sales in these same micro niches, you can, too. [19:50] You won't copy the designs, that obviously won't work. Instead, you'll come up with your own unique winning designs, but you'll be confident that for your listings. [20:02] Before we get to designing, we need to build some of our assets. That's the second part of the starter phase. When we say assets, we just mean things like our offer and pricing, our vision board, our listing photo templates, and [20:15] our listing descriptions. We'll start with building our offer and establishing a pricing structure. Most sellers skip this completely. They look at another shop's pricing and just copy that. Maybe they undercut the [20:28] other shop's prices to start, but have no idea what they'll even make on a sale, and have no strategy behind their offer. Next is the listing photo templates. The listing photos are just high-quality [20:41] mock-ups to show off your product and design. We like to create high-quality templates that we can use over and over again for our product. We'll spend another 5 to 6 days building these assets, and sometimes even longer, with [20:55] the goal of making them the best on Etsy. We don't want to be average here, because that will get you average results. And remember, the average seller never gets out out the starter phase. We want to create the best [21:07] possible listing photo templates and study our product and potential customer until we feel we know them better than anyone. We'll start again with more research to identify what's most valuable to the type of customer most [21:20] likely to buy our product and identify their hot and cold points. We want to highlight these things in our listing photos to stand out. Then we'll begin drafting our listing photo templates. We find most of the mock-up images from [21:34] find most of the mock-up images from Etsy or sometimes create them using AI. step back and ask ourselves a series of questions. We work through a full checklist before moving on. And the final question is this, do you believe [21:48] these templates are the best listing photos that exist on Etsy? Better than any other shop? If you can answer that question honestly, and truly honestly, you are ready to move on. If you can't honestly say yes, it's an [22:02] indication that you need to spend more time. Again, almost no Etsy sellers do this. And it's one of the reasons they stay stuck in the starter phase. Once we have our listing photo templates drafted, we then draft our listing [22:16] description template. You can think of the listing description template as the long written form of your listing photos. Finally, we'll jump back into the research. And we know you're probably sick of even hearing about all [22:28] this research, but it's one of the reasons we believe we've been so successful. This time we'll get smart on the designs. We'll go back to our data we extracted from Everbee and study the top designs, specifically the newest [22:43] designs with lots of success. Again, we're not doing this to copy. Our goal is to identify why certain designs have been successful, to identify the design elements, the fonts, the layouts, the effects, etc. [22:57] similarities for why certain designs sell better than others, we can then replicate those same things in new ways to also find success. To do this, we create what we call a vision board, which is just another way [23:11] of documenting the patterns or similarities that we identify. We'll reference this vision board each time we create designs, so that we never forget what makes designs successful in our product. It's all based on the data. [23:25] Finally, we're ready to start creating and launching our listings in our new product. We strategically choose which micro niches to target first, which is important because timing matters more than most Etsy sellers think. As we work [23:38] through our to-do list, we create one design for each micro niche, the best design we can possibly create, based on in-depth research and using the vision feel like an expert in our product [23:51] posted a single listing. We've spent lots of time in the research, and we're If you've posted Etsy listings before, and you haven't felt this confident, and want, this is a clear indication that you haven't spent enough time [24:06] researching. When you're ready to start posting your first listings, you'll connect them to your production partner website. This ensures that when an order comes in, the production partner gets the order and then creates and ships the [24:18] order is automatically marked complete inside Etsy. When following this process, we often see first sales within 24 hours. We're so confident in this process that we wanted to run an experiment over the [24:31] We had our team of virtual assistants from the Philippines open a brand new shop. They've done everything. They do the research, create the designs, post the listings, respond to all the customer messages, literally [24:46] And they don't have a graphic design background. One studied information technology or IT in college, and the other studied politics. They just followed our process to a T. And in month three, they did $2,238.81 [25:04] month. Again, on a brand new shop with no design experience. Just a proven process that works. We've shared our results, our students' results, and even our own team's results. You can absolutely do [25:18] this. So, that's a high-level overview of the starter phase. If you're interested in working with us, there's a link to a doc below. The doc outlines our 12-week group coaching program, where we work with sellers to get them [25:31] to their first $1,000 month on Etsy. The spots are limited each month. And again, give you the attention and get the results you want. You get access to [25:43] 11-plus hours of step-by-step video lessons. If you're someone who likes to follow along, this is for you. You'll also get our full 12-week plan with assignments for each day, including off days for people who work and have other [25:57] commitments. It's designed for people who can only commit about 5 to 10 hours per week, because when we started, that's all we could commit to, as we both worked full-time jobs. We do charge for this program for two reasons. First, [26:11] you get direct access to us, and we're giving you our time and our expertise. And second, we want to make sure that you're actually serious and committed. We could charge thousands of dollars for this, considering it's the foundation [26:23] business. But we've intentionally lowered the price as low as we can beginning of their journey. By the way, when you do hit that first $1,000 month, we give you your money back as a full 100% credit, because we really do want [26:39] all of you to succeed. Etsy's changed our lives, and it can change your life, too. There's a link down below. Give the doc a read, and if you're interested, doc a read, and if you're interested, we'd love to work with you.
