[0:00] Well, we got some good and bad news. The [0:03] bad news is that for healers and tanks, [0:05] it looks a bit set in stone with [0:07] vengeance demon hunters and discipline [0:08] priests being the creme deella creme for [0:10] these roles. And even for DPS, specs [0:13] like balance druids, fire mages, and [0:14] unholy death knights are becoming [0:16] favorites for top picks in the high-end [0:18] mythic plus scene. However, the good [0:20] news is that most specs are performing [0:22] strongly in high keys. In fact, there's [0:24] very few specs that feel underwhelming [0:26] with only one spec making it into D tier [0:28] and most specs coming out on A tier. So, [0:30] while this M plus tier list represents [0:32] what's being played on the top end, bear [0:34] in mind most specs listed here will be [0:37] excellent in high keys. Just maybe not [0:39] if you're pushing the highest keys in [0:40] the world. We're guessing some of you [0:42] probably hated the meta during season 1 [0:44] where four out of five spots were [0:45] already set in stone for Mythic Plus. [0:47] But are things any better now? And if [0:49] you are serious about climbing this [0:50] season, which let's face it, you [0:51] probably are since you're watching this [0:53] video, then you are the perfect person [0:55] to try out our revolutionary add-on that [0:57] has already helped thousands of players [0:59] rank up in this season alone. [1:51] For this tier list, we'll be separating [1:52] each role, starting with tanks. As we [1:54] mentioned earlier, vengeance demon [1:56] hunters are the top dogs in this [1:57] category. Their control kit is insane, [2:00] containing AoE silence, stuns, and [2:02] grips, which allows demon hunters to [2:04] have powerful AoE mob control. Vengeance [2:07] is also one of the best tanks at [2:08] surviving by themselves, having plenty [2:10] of defensives and self-sustain to stay [2:12] alive. They also bring the chaos brand [2:14] debuff, giving magic damage users extra [2:16] pressure, being a welcome sight in this [2:19] meta. The only downside to vengeance [2:20] demon hunters is that aggro can [2:22] sometimes slip away to high DPS. [2:24] Maintaining aggro is quite buggy for [2:26] demon hunters right now, and if your DPS [2:28] are too hungry to not press a global 0.1 [2:31] seconds into a pull, odds are they can [2:33] die. This can be more of an issue during [2:36] pugs or with less experienced tanks, but [2:38] it is definitely a common issue that [2:39] needs to be thought about if you ever [2:41] play with this spec. Just be wary of [2:42] your DPS, allowing the Vengeance DH a [2:45] bit more time to maintain aggro. Even [2:47] with that downside, they provide exactly [2:49] what you want and need in a tank. So, [2:51] it's no surprise they belong in the S [2:53] tier category, simply being too good of [2:55] a tank compared to the rest. Moving on, [2:57] we can discuss our A tier tanks [2:59] containing several different specs. [3:01] First up, we have Guardian Druids, who [3:02] despite being quite tanky bears and at [3:04] high-end keys, can be quite difficult to [3:06] play. Having good self-tankiness, [3:08] providing the Mark of the Wild buff, and [3:10] having some mob control makes them great [3:12] tanks overall. They usually synergize [3:14] well in pure physical comps and high-end [3:16] keys, buffing each other's damage to [3:18] maximize everyone's DPS. Unfortunately, [3:20] due to balanced druids being meta, it [3:22] might be hard to fit a guardian druid in [3:23] most groups. Next up, we have blood DKs, [3:26] which offer a high amount of [3:27] self-healing, making a healer's job [3:29] slightly easier. They can also deal tons [3:31] of damage whenever they summon a blood [3:33] beast, dealing huge pressure to any [3:34] packs. While their survivability is [3:36] fantastic, this only remains true if [3:38] they don't get one-shot by tank busters, [3:40] which can be difficult to live in high [3:42] keys. Their AoE mass grip and blinding [3:45] sleet is also excellent for big mob [3:47] pulls, shutting them down to keep your [3:48] party safe. The last tank spec to make [3:51] it to A tier is none other than the pro [3:53] warrior. It got hit with recent nerfs, [3:55] but even so, it still deals high amounts [3:56] of damage, especially in single target [3:58] situations. Having battle shout, great [4:00] pressure, and AoE stuns to lock down [4:02] mobs with good defenses, they make for [4:04] great tanks overall. A main weakness of [4:06] pro warriors is that they don't really [4:08] have high self-healing. They can [4:09] mitigate damage well, but once they lose [4:11] a lot of HP, they will need help to top [4:13] themselves. Otherwise, it could be [4:15] difficult for them to survive if they're [4:16] about to take heavy pressure. All these [4:18] tanks belong in the A tier category, [4:20] being great candidates for your tank [4:22] role in Mythic Plus. The only reason [4:24] these tanks aren't up there with [4:25] vengeance demon hunters is because this [4:27] spec is simply doing everything these [4:28] tanks can do but better. All tanks in [4:31] this category can still be played at [4:32] high keys, which you can see on our [4:34] raider.io rankings. Moving on to Btier, [4:37] we have one tank spec here being [4:39] protection paladins. Having access to [4:41] the baseline paladin cooldowns is [4:42] excellent for your team survival in any [4:44] mythic plus dungeon. On top of this, [4:46] having an AoE interrupt on a short [4:47] cooldown makes propal superb at shutting [4:50] down casters, preventing any unnecessary [4:52] oneshots from happening. One of the [4:54] major flaws with this spec is that they [4:56] are squishy, struggling with survival. [4:58] It seems kind of crazy that a tank spec [5:00] is struggling with survival, right? [5:01] Well, that's the case with pro paladins, [5:03] needing extra help to keep them afloat [5:05] with any heavyhitting mobs. Their damage [5:07] is also dependent on cooldowns, dealing [5:09] really good throughput while they're up, [5:11] but outside of that, their damage is on [5:12] the lower end of the scale. For these [5:14] reasons, this is why we put prop [5:15] paladins in the B tier, being slightly [5:17] weaker than the A tier tanks. That means [5:20] that unfortunately at the bottom of the [5:21] tier list for tanks, we have brew master [5:23] monks. Again, this spec can still [5:25] perform well in high-rated keys, having [5:27] great synergy with physical damage [5:28] classes due to their mystic touch [5:29] debuff. Brew masters are highly reliant [5:32] on their celestial fortune to keep [5:33] themselves alive. The more healing they [5:35] receive, the stronger they can [5:36] self-heal, so they typically get along [5:38] with resto druids or mistweaver monks [5:40] that have high healing throughput. [5:42] Currently, the meta is mainly [5:43] disciplined priests and their shields [5:45] don't add to this, making the synergy [5:47] here quite bad for the monk. Outside of [5:49] that, they can struggle picking up mobs [5:50] and don't have much of a toolkit [5:52] compared to the other tanks. Due to [5:53] this, we have put brew master monks on [5:55] the C tier. Again, they can still be [5:57] played at high keys with the right [5:58] compositions and with healers that have [6:00] high healing throughput. We stress that [6:02] this tier list is mainly due to the [6:03] high-end keys, so any tank is worth [6:06] considering if it's a lower key than the [6:07] top end. With tanks covered, we can move [6:10] on to our melee DPS where there are [6:12] plenty of strong options to choose from. [6:14] However, there is one melee spec in [6:16] particular that is cut above the rest. [6:18] Some of you may have guessed it, but [6:19] it's none other than the unholy death [6:21] knight. The main thing that separates [6:23] this spec from the rest of the melee is [6:24] its absurd AoE damage. Even if it's two [6:27] mobs, the amount of damage an unholy DK [6:29] can deal in cleave situations is insane, [6:31] dealing monstrous damage in massive AoE [6:33] situations. It also has good priority [6:35] damage and scales well with all mob [6:38] sizes. In terms of defense, it's also [6:40] pretty much unkillable in most dungeons, [6:42] having access to AMS, AMZ, IBF, and [6:45] Lichborne, putting its survival skills [6:47] through the roof. Being a plate wearer [6:50] makes them more tanky in general, and in [6:51] dire scenarios, having death strike to [6:53] heal themselves will be excellent [6:54] whenever they are taking too much [6:56] pressure. The only weakness of an unholy [6:58] DK is that its single target damage can [7:00] be weak, often needing at least one [7:01] extra mob to start dealing significant [7:03] pressure. However, the massive benefits [7:05] outweigh this con, which is why Unholy [7:07] DK is the only S tier melee spec for [7:09] high-end keys. Its AOE damage is [7:11] unparalleled, and with its strong self-s [7:13] survival, it makes it a cut above the [7:15] other melee DPS. With Unholy DK covered, [7:18] we can now move on to our other strong [7:20] melee DPS in the current patch. One spec [7:22] that shines here is enhancement shamans, [7:24] having high AOE damage, crowd control, [7:26] and good priority targeting, making it [7:28] excellent at dealing with big pack [7:30] pulls. It also brings a huge toolkit to [7:32] parties, giving blood lust, a mastery [7:34] buff, deurse, purge, and a low cooldown [7:37] interrupt. The main problems with [7:39] enhancement shaman is that its other [7:40] spec, elemental, can pretty much do all [7:42] the same things while being easier to [7:44] play and having stronger AoE damage due [7:46] to their cooldowns. Enhancement is also [7:48] quite squishy compared to other DPS, [7:50] needing extra help to keep themselves [7:52] alive. Another strong melee comes in the [7:54] form of assassination rogue. It also has [7:56] insane damage and very strong priority [7:59] damage, making it great in any big [8:01] pulls. It relies on restalths to get off [8:03] huge pressure, which means that your [8:04] party must play around it when pulling [8:06] mobs. As such, you shouldn't chain pull [8:08] mobs or you will nerf the acer rogue's [8:10] damage severely, as well as making their [8:13] blood pressure rise. Another con of acer [8:15] rogues is that it struggles to survive [8:17] on rot fights. This is where continuous [8:19] damage applies to everyone constantly [8:20] throughout an encounter. A good example [8:22] of this is against Swampface in [8:24] Floodgate. The boss constantly deals [8:26] damage to everyone, which is where an [8:27] Asser rogue can be vulnerable. Outside [8:29] of these weaknesses, as rogues are [8:31] excellent contenders for a DPS spot in [8:33] any party. Speaking of rogues, subtlety [8:35] is also a strong option, being [8:37] competitive with assassination rogues. [8:38] The main difference is that subroges [8:40] have very high damage during their [8:42] cooldowns, but low pressure without [8:43] them. During cooldowns, they can pack a [8:46] punch in single target or AoE [8:47] situations. It also has less priority [8:49] damage than rogues, but around the same [8:51] survivability. Due to the nature of how [8:53] both specs work, they can alternate in [8:55] strength based on the dungeon. However, [8:57] the difference will be marginal in lower [8:58] keys. So, knowing that both specs are [9:00] great options, you can choose whichever [9:02] one you'd like. Another strong melee [9:04] amongst these ranks is retribution [9:06] paladin. They have great group support [9:08] due to paladin cooldowns, which can save [9:10] people on the brink of death. It also [9:11] has strong damage permanently, being [9:13] valuable in any situation, containing [9:15] good single target and AOE damage. [9:17] Having divine shield as a lifesaver [9:19] cooldown and being a plate wearer makes [9:21] them fairly tanky in every dungeon. A [9:23] major downside with Rhett is that it has [9:25] no priority damage, dealing the same [9:27] pressure to all targets, which can be [9:29] difficult in high keys against certain [9:30] packs. Moving on from Rhett Paladins, we [9:33] have another powerful melee being the [9:35] Arms Warrior. Having big cleave damage [9:37] is always a welcome sight in every [9:39] dungeon. They also have an AoE stun [9:41] battle shout for physical and melee DPS [9:43] as well as being quite tanky, which are [9:45] all nice bonuses. Being able to abuse [9:47] spell reflection can also be OP against [9:49] specific mobs. A big downside to arms [9:51] warriors is that if you choose to have [9:53] strong AoE pressure, then you will lack [9:55] in single target damage. This can be [9:57] rough in dungeons where boss damage is [9:59] important, having to choose between [10:00] added single target or AoE pressure. [10:02] Speaking of physical damage DPS, [10:04] Windalker Monk is also a strong [10:06] contender. Its damage is super strong [10:08] during single target and during five [10:10] target AoE cleaving. Having multiple [10:12] defensive cooldowns on a low timer also [10:14] makes their survival strong in any [10:16] dungeon. They have one major downside [10:18] though, being that they're target [10:19] capped, unable to deal massive pressure [10:21] if there are more than five mobs in a [10:23] pull. The more cleaving targets there [10:25] are, the less effective a Windalker monk [10:26] will be with their damage output. [10:28] Another melee amongst these ranks is [10:30] Feral Druid. having access to great [10:32] burst damage and good pressure overall [10:33] in single target and cleave situations. [10:35] It can be a bit squishy, but has a few [10:37] decent defensives such as bark skin, [10:39] survival instincts, and renewal. The big [10:41] problem is that balanced druid is just [10:43] more OP being the druid spec most groups [10:45] are looking for. Since it's overshadowed [10:47] by the superior spec, it makes it [10:49] difficult to bring a feral druid over [10:50] them. Last of all, we have havoc demon [10:52] hunters, which deal excellent damage and [10:54] synergize well with spell damage or [10:56] casters due to their debuff. They have [10:57] good priority damage and amazing DPS [11:00] overall in single target and cleave [11:01] situations. A big issue with havoc demon [11:03] hunters is that vengeance demon hunters [11:05] are usually the most popular role for a [11:07] tank spot. That means in the current [11:08] meta, it's hard for them to fit unless [11:10] they have another tank in their group. [11:12] Bear in mind, this only really applies [11:13] to super high keys. The best tanks Havoc [11:16] Demon Hunters would usually pair up with [11:18] are blood DKs or pro paladins. All these [11:21] melee discussed belong in a tier. [11:23] They're super strong in any M plus [11:25] dungeon, just falling short of unholy [11:27] DKs due to their damage output. These [11:28] specs have great damage in one way or [11:30] another, being able to have high [11:32] survivability skills themselves or bring [11:34] insane utility to help you in any key. [11:37] Again, it will highly depend on your [11:38] composition, especially in top- end [11:40] keys. But all melee here are powerful [11:42] enough to be contenders in high plus [11:44] dungeons. The rest of the melee are a [11:46] bit weaker overall and are usually [11:47] overshadowed by their other specs, which [11:49] is why they're in Btier. This is the [11:51] case with Outlaw Rogue, having no burst [11:53] damage, but consistent pressure [11:54] throughout any fight, which can be [11:56] strong in dungeons like Rookery or [11:57] Theater of Pain. Outside of this, its [12:00] overall damage is overshadowed by Sub or [12:02] Asa Rogues in other dungeons, making it [12:04] much more of a niche spec. There's not [12:06] really any point to play Outlaw unless [12:07] it's for those two dungeons where it can [12:09] be situationally better. Frost DKs are [12:12] actually quite good DPS specs, dealing [12:14] great damage in single target and cleave [12:16] situations. It also has excellent self-s [12:18] survival, but since unholy GK is the [12:20] best spec for all melee, it's no [12:22] surprise that it outperforms Frost in [12:24] every single way. There's just really no [12:25] point in playing Frost DK over Unholy, [12:28] unless you want to for your own [12:29] pleasure. When it comes to fury [12:31] warriors, they actually do big damage, [12:33] especially into boss fights where their [12:34] damage increases in power. This again [12:36] could become a more prominent pick than [12:38] arms in keys such as theater or Rookery. [12:41] However, in other keys, arms and other [12:43] specs will usually outperform fury since [12:45] it's damage capped in AoE. It can only [12:47] cleave up to five targets with most of [12:49] its damage, making it lackluster in the [12:51] other dungeons. That leaves us with the [12:53] last melee spec in the game being [12:54] survival hunters. They deal decent [12:56] damage with or without coolowns, able to [12:58] blast damage in any pull. It also has [13:00] the baseline hunter defensives as well [13:02] as fain death being a top ability for [13:04] their survival. However, just like [13:05] Outlaw Rogue, it's overshadowed by its [13:07] other specs in keys. Both BM and MM [13:09] hunters are stronger than survival in [13:11] every way, which means most players will [13:13] play the other range specs. These four [13:15] melee will belong in the B tier, [13:17] finalizing this melee DPS tier list. [13:19] Again, all the melee here are still [13:20] viable on high keys, but the higher you [13:22] get, the more difficult it will be to [13:24] play outside of the meta. Most of these [13:26] specs perform well, but are overshadowed [13:28] by their other specs. However, in [13:29] certain keys, these specs can perform [13:31] quite well and may just be worth the [13:33] respect, depending on the group you [13:35] have. Now that all the melee specs have [13:37] been covered, we can move on to range [13:39] DPS. Again, we emphasize that all these [13:41] specs can be replaceable with other DPS, [13:43] especially in lower keys, and depending [13:45] on what your group needs. Starting off [13:47] with the top tier range DPS, we have to [13:49] put balance druid here. They are simply [13:52] the best at snowballing huge AoE damage [13:55] with or without cooldowns, pumping big [13:57] AoE packs with their pressure that's [13:59] easy to spam, making them highly [14:01] valuable in dungeons. Having access to [14:03] Solar Beam, Typhoon, and Vortex also [14:05] makes them fantastic at crowdcontrolling [14:07] a bunch of mobs, disrupting all their [14:09] casts. Providing the druid versatility [14:11] buff is also a welcome sight to [14:13] everyone, especially in high keys where [14:14] every ounce of bulk is needed. There's [14:17] really not too much of a downside to [14:18] balance druid except that their single [14:20] target pressure can be lacking since [14:22] they pick up big AoE pressure from their [14:23] talents. With that being the only real [14:25] downside, they will be heading to the S [14:27] tier as a ranged DPS. No wonder most [14:29] high keys take balance druids as their [14:31] AoE control and damage is just so [14:33] powerful. If you have access to a mass [14:35] grip in your party, this has incredible [14:37] synergy with their solar beam, locking [14:39] down any casts from any mob. The only [14:41] other S tier range spec that belongs [14:43] here is fire mage. It has incredible [14:46] burst damage with combustion being [14:48] excellent for killing AoE packs or even [14:50] in single target scenarios. It does mean [14:52] that your party should play around [14:53] combustion as you want to use it at the [14:55] start of every big pull, then chaining [14:57] pulls if needed to make the best use out [14:59] of this powerful cooldown. Fire mages [15:01] also provides the intellect buff, time [15:03] warp effect, and has decent mob control [15:05] with a fairly short cooldown interrupt [15:07] and an AoE knock to disrupt multiple [15:09] mobs. They also have a cheat death [15:11] mechanic with cauter eyes, as well as [15:13] other defensive cooldowns, making fire [15:15] mage one of the best classes at [15:16] surviving mechanics by themselves. The [15:18] main weakness of mage is being centered [15:20] around combustion. So, if your party [15:22] doesn't play around it, they will become [15:23] much less impactful until they get it [15:25] back again. With all those pros [15:26] outweighing the tiny con of a fire mage, [15:29] it's clear why it belongs in the S tier [15:31] category. They are super popular in high [15:33] keys, having big pressure throughout a [15:35] dungeon run, and making their healer's [15:37] life easier, assuming they play well [15:39] with their defensive cooldowns. Moving [15:40] on to our A tier specs, we'll start off [15:43] with elemental shamans being powerful in [15:45] all dungeons. Their main strength comes [15:47] with the threeminute cooldown [15:48] ascendance, decimating big AoE packs [15:50] with their insane damage. They also [15:52] bring blood lust, a mastery buff, and [15:55] great utility for crowd control on AoE [15:57] packs. Having a short cooldown interrupt [15:59] makes them excellent at locking down [16:01] casters, too. However, their strength [16:03] can be their downside, as the party [16:05] should play around their 3minute [16:06] ascendance, entering big packs, ideally [16:08] when the Ellie Shaman has this cooldown [16:10] ready. Outside of ascendants, their [16:12] damage will be good, but not nearly as [16:14] powerful, relying on procs to deal big [16:16] damage. Moving on from elemental shaman, [16:18] we have frost mage, which comes to no [16:20] surprise given a mage's baseline toolkit [16:23] is so powerful, as we explained with [16:25] fire. The biggest difference is that Icy [16:27] Veins requires a bit more ramp up time, [16:29] but it can still deal an incredible [16:30] amount of damage. It has great burst [16:32] damage and good sustain, being powerful [16:35] at dealing with single target damage. [16:37] Frost is also easier to play compared to [16:39] fire, but fire is still stronger due to [16:41] combustion having more impact overall in [16:43] dungeons. Marksmanship hunters are [16:45] another top range DPS spec this season, [16:48] having access to great damage within a [16:49] certain threshold. It has huge burst [16:51] damage and great single target pressure, [16:53] making it admirable for dungeons like [16:55] theater or rrookery. Having access to [16:58] turtle, fain death, multiple damage [17:00] reduction cooldowns, and a self-heal [17:01] makes hunters decent at surviving. If [17:04] you feain death at the right time, you [17:05] can skip mechanics or reduce massive [17:07] pressure, making it a powerful [17:09] defensive. That being said, it's limited [17:11] with its damage throughput as it is [17:13] target capped, making it lackluster in [17:15] other dungeons where mass AOE damage is [17:18] preferred. Another spec that belongs [17:20] here is Beast Mastery Hunters. BM is [17:22] definitely up there, having good single [17:24] target and AoE pressure during an entire [17:26] dungeon. Again, with all the hunter [17:27] utility it has to keep itself alive, it [17:29] can be fairly tanky. BM is also very [17:32] mobile and doesn't lose damage while [17:33] moving since it doesn't need to cast any [17:35] spells. A main issue hunters have, which [17:38] applies to all their specs, is that [17:39] one-shot mechanics could be difficult to [17:41] survive as they're quite squishy outside [17:43] of their defensive cooldowns. Moving on [17:45] from BM hunters is another spec with a [17:47] lot of pets, demo warlocks. This class [17:50] has very good sustain damage, being [17:51] quite tanky overall, and can perform [17:53] well in AoE and single target [17:55] situations. Warlocks have niche utility [17:57] including curse of tongues on casters, [18:00] gateway that can be used to skip pulls [18:01] and health stone which is always a [18:03] welcome sight to any player. It does [18:05] however struggle to rot damage similar [18:07] to the likes of a rogue having limited [18:09] self- sustain healing. One spec with [18:11] high burst damage that can obliterate [18:13] AoE packs is this devastation evoker. It [18:16] can deal great single target pressure [18:17] too, but it will have to choose between [18:19] that or AoE damage making it a bit [18:21] weaker overall for dungeons. They will [18:23] mostly go the AoE damage route, being [18:25] favorable in nearly all dungeons. [18:27] Evokers also bring Zephyr, being an [18:29] excellent party defensive for the group [18:31] that healers would love to help keep [18:33] everyone alive. Speaking of big AoE [18:35] damage dealers that come to mind, Shadow [18:37] Priest is also performing well in high [18:39] keys. It deals powerful AoE and prior [18:42] damage, making it great during massive [18:44] pulls. With access to power infusion, a [18:46] stamina buff, and an AoE fear, it can [18:48] add a lot to a party's utility in keys. [18:51] It does however have two major [18:52] downsides. The first is that disc [18:54] priests are insanely meta at the moment, [18:56] making it difficult to fit in a shadow [18:58] priest. Second, its singlet target [19:00] damage is super low, so the only way to [19:02] capitalize on boss pressure is by [19:04] pulling trash mobs with them. So, the [19:05] shadow priest can multi- dot. The last [19:08] range DPS spec to make it onto the A [19:10] tier list will be Arcane Mage. Once [19:13] again, the mage utility for self-s [19:14] survival is a big thing to have in any [19:16] key, as well as decurse, heroism, and [19:19] intellect buff. It is one of the harder [19:21] specs to minmax, but in the hands of a [19:23] good player, it can deal absurd damage [19:24] on small packs or in single target [19:27] situations. Arcane is one of the highest [19:29] priority target damage dealers in the [19:31] game, making it super valuable in keys [19:33] like Rookery or Theater of Pain. While [19:35] Arcane is strong, the issue is that [19:36] Frost and Fire overshadow this spec, [19:39] being superior in the other dungeons. It [19:41] is also very cool down reliant, needing [19:43] Arcane Surge or Touch of the Magi to [19:45] deal significant damage in any pull. [19:47] With Arcane Mage covered, we can now put [19:49] all of these range DPS specs into the A [19:51] tier section. They all perform extremely [19:53] well and are excellent contenders for [19:55] high keys, bringing great damage and [19:57] utility to the party. Fire mage and [19:59] balance druid just about outperform [20:01] these specs, but only at the highest end [20:03] of keys. So, don't be shy when it comes [20:06] to picking any of these A tier specs. [20:08] Moving on from our A tier, we have a [20:10] lone wolf in the B tier being [20:11] destruction warlock. Destro is [20:13] essentially a weaker version of demo [20:14] warlock, having less overall pressure [20:16] with the same utility. One nice thing [20:18] Destro has though is havoc being a [20:20] powerful spell for two target cleaving, [20:22] making them superb for fighting two mobs [20:24] at once. Destruction just doesn't really [20:26] cut it compared to the other range DPS [20:28] already listed, which is why it comes [20:30] down to Btier. It's still viable enough [20:32] for strong keys, but it does get [20:34] overshadowed by demonology, making it [20:36] difficult to justify not specking into [20:38] it. We also have our lone Ctier spec [20:40] which comes in the form of an affliction [20:42] warlock. It's fallen off as it is [20:44] overshadowed by demo and destro the [20:46] weakest spec for a warlock to play. It [20:48] has the potential to do high pressure [20:50] but similar to shadow priest it takes [20:51] time to ramp up and it will be much less [20:53] significant in single target situations. [20:55] Due to the vile taint talent, chain [20:58] pulling mobs can make it lackluster. So [21:00] you want to be careful when picking up [21:01] packs with an affliction warlock. Only [21:03] chaining if they have vile taint ready. [21:06] Outside of that, it can do great AoE in [21:08] higher keys with decent priority damage, [21:10] too. Since it's still overshadowed by [21:12] destruction and demonology, it will [21:13] belong in the C tier. It can still [21:15] perform well in higher keys, falling off [21:17] in low keys due to mobs dying too [21:19] quickly for them to deal any significant [21:20] damage. The last spec to cover, and the [21:22] only spec to make it in D tier in this [21:24] entire ranking system, is augmentation [21:27] evokers. After last season's glory run [21:29] being needed in every high key, it got [21:32] gutted getting nerfed to the ground. [21:34] Eban might no longer buffs tank or [21:36] healers, which makes it a big issue in [21:38] any dungeon. Shifting sands and clothes [21:40] of clutch mates also got nerfed [21:42] significantly, making it much less [21:44] powerful in mythic plus dungeons. They [21:46] basically shifted the way aokers work, [21:48] losing out on group buffs for their own [21:50] personal damage, but it doesn't make up [21:52] for what they lost in a big way. As [21:54] such, augmentation evoker will be the [21:56] only spec to be in the Dtier, being the [21:58] weakest spec in the entire Mythic Plus [22:00] scene. The nerfs have been too much for [22:01] augmentation evoker to deal with. And [22:03] since they put more of an effort on its [22:05] own pressure, you might as well be [22:07] devastation being better in every way. [22:10] With all the DPS specs covered, we can [22:11] now move on to our last category, [22:13] healers. It seems the devs have a [22:16] favorite when choosing healers because [22:17] disciplined priests are once again the [22:19] best healers by far in season 2. Oracle [22:21] disc priest is simply super OP at the [22:24] moment, giving disc the ability to give [22:25] everyone shields as big as their own HP [22:27] bar. It's so powerful that some [22:29] mechanics that should be hard to deal [22:31] with become much more trivial. As such, [22:33] they make your party incredibly tanky, [22:35] unlikely to die in most fights. It does [22:37] deal less damage than void Weaver, but [22:39] the exchange to make everyone live much [22:41] easier is more than worth it. They also [22:44] have access to power infusion, being [22:46] super powerful in dungeons for DPS [22:48] players. Soothe plus dominant mind can [22:50] also be utilized for mob control, as [22:52] well as having a stamina buff to further [22:54] increase everyone's likelihood of [22:55] surviving one-shot mechanics. For this [22:57] reason, disciplined priests are the lone [22:59] S tier ranking for healers. The [23:01] overpowered shields are just unrivaled [23:02] when it comes to high keys, and it's [23:04] part of the reason why so many teams can [23:05] advance to do some of the top end keys [23:07] at the moment. Moving on to the A tier [23:09] healers, we have quite a number of specs [23:11] here. Starting off with Mistw Weaver [23:12] Monks. Mistw Weavers have access to the [23:14] highest DPS out of all healers, [23:16] especially in single target situations, [23:18] making it very powerful in any group. It [23:20] has strong healing output, but requires [23:22] good planning with their Jade [23:24] empowerment stacks to utilize fully. If [23:26] played well, they are extremely mana [23:28] efficient, but if played wrong, they [23:30] will need plenty of drinks to make up [23:31] for extra mana consumption. A weakness [23:33] of mistweaver monk is that it can be [23:35] difficult to heal on rot fights where [23:37] ancient teachings cannot keep up with [23:39] the pressure. It also requires melee [23:41] range to heal often, which can be a [23:43] downside in unfriendly melee fights. [23:45] Being with melee or physical damage [23:47] dealers can be nice, though, as monk [23:49] provides the mystic touch debuff, [23:51] increasing all their pressure. Moving on [23:53] from mistw weaver monks, we have resto [23:55] druids. Druids are unique in the fact [23:57] that they can heal rot fights super [23:59] well, but their burst healing is [24:00] lacking. They also provide the mark of [24:02] the wild buff to all party members, [24:04] giving increased versatility being [24:06] valuable in all dungeons. While they can [24:08] deal decent damage, they have to pick [24:10] between DPS or healing, making it rough [24:12] to deal damage in high keys where [24:14] healing will be a high priority. As [24:15] such, this spec is difficult to master, [24:17] weaving between melee DPS and healing to [24:19] minmax this spec in any key. The last [24:22] healer in this tier will be restoration [24:24] shamans. Along with their strong [24:25] healing, they have a lot of utility with [24:27] AoE control, a ranged interrupt, a [24:29] mastery buff, and giving heroism to the [24:32] party. A strength yet weakness of shaman [24:34] is that their healing rain provides a [24:36] lot of healing and damage if people are [24:38] in its radius. That means typically [24:40] parties with full melee work well with [24:41] shaman, all being on top of the healing [24:43] rain to gain additional healing. If your [24:45] party moves out of this too much, then [24:47] it could be tricky for the rest of [24:49] shaman to keep them alive. Another [24:50] weakness is that shamans can get very [24:52] mana hungry during dungeon runs with [24:54] healing rain and other abilities costing [24:55] a high amount of mana. So you'll have to [24:57] play around the shaman's mana bar, [24:59] making sure you don't do any big pulls [25:01] if they're low on mana, which could lead [25:02] to wipes. That means these three healers [25:05] will belong to the A tier list. All of [25:07] these specs perform well and are strong [25:09] at the moment, dealing a high amount of [25:10] healing and adding some damage to the [25:12] mobs. The only reason they aren't in S [25:14] tier isn't due to their lack of [25:15] strength. It's just that disciplined [25:16] priests are in a league of their own, [25:18] simply being too strong. You can [25:19] continue to do high keys as these A tier [25:21] specs having nice healing and utility to [25:24] bring to any group. Moving on to our [25:26] Btier healers, we only have one spec [25:27] here being holy paladin. Similar to its [25:30] other specs, the baseline paladin [25:32] cooldowns have is great for any dungeon. [25:34] Having freedom, blessing of sacrifice, [25:36] bop, and lay on hands can be excellent [25:38] in times of need. Paladins have strong [25:41] heals during cooldowns, but without [25:42] them, their healing can sometimes be [25:44] lacking, which can spell disaster when [25:46] the group is taking big damage. Their [25:48] damage is also decent, but definitely [25:50] falling behind the likes of Mistw Weaver [25:51] monks or disciplined priests as they [25:53] have to choose between damage or [25:54] healing. These downsides can be quite [25:56] big, so we will be putting Holy Paladin [25:58] on the B tier for now. Unless you're [26:00] Elsmere, holy paladins struggle to [26:02] perform at the highest keys possible. [26:04] The lack of damage and sometimes healing [26:06] can make it a bit difficult for party [26:08] members to react to. That being said, [26:10] holy palies can still hold their own in [26:11] most keys, making them pretty strong [26:13] overall. Moving on to the last two [26:15] healers who both belong in C tier being [26:17] holy priest and preservation of ochre. [26:19] Holy priests also have the oracle hero [26:21] spec, but it's not nearly as powerful [26:23] for holy compared to disc. The healing [26:25] is decent, but without the powerful [26:27] shields, holy feels much more [26:28] underwhelming. You also lack atonement [26:30] healing, making it much more difficult [26:32] for Holi to deal as much pressure as [26:34] disc. That being said, you still bring [26:36] the powerful party utility with power [26:39] infusion, soothe, dominant mind, and [26:41] stamina buff. Preservation of Ochre is [26:44] the last healer on this tier list and [26:45] probably the least impactful healer of [26:47] them all. It can deal good burst [26:49] healing, but it's very coolown reliant [26:51] and their cooldowns take too long to [26:52] come back. While they can deal big [26:54] damage, they have to choose between [26:55] pressure and healing, making it [26:57] difficult for them to keep up with in [26:58] higher keys. Having limited range and [27:01] limited healing output makes it [27:02] difficult for preservation evokers to [27:03] keep people alive in high-end keys. That [27:06] means both of these healers will go in [27:08] the C tier. They can still do decently [27:09] well in keys, but they are on the weaker [27:11] side of healers compared to the others [27:13] mentioned. Luckily for holy priests, if [27:15] you aren't too stubborn about playing [27:16] disc, you can respspec and become the [27:18] best healer in the game. The same can't [27:20] be said for preservation of ochres, [27:22] though. Struggling with healing in [27:23] general, but can perform well in the [27:25] right circumstances.
