[00:00] So we've got some big news from the world of polyhedra, which is that we now have a [00:13] complete classification of a particular type of polyhedra called noble polyhedra. So a young mathematician in America, aged just 17, called Connor Hill, has actually [00:35] provided a full classification of the noble polyhedron. [00:47] oh, there's this idea of maybe I could find one or two new ones with this. And then over time as I investigated it, originally it was very not formal. I was just making random plots of stuff in Python and that sort of thing But over time as I learned more about the problem and thought about oh I could extend this technique to work in a more general case or something like that [01:10] it became more and more like, oh, wait, this could actually lead to a formal proof. [01:28] Well, I think people are just very impressed. Like, oh, you discovered a new shape. I think people are just impressed that it's this sort of thing. And I personally want to try and use that as an inspiration [01:43] to show other people, you can do this sort of thing too. Age does not really matter. It's really finding a problem that's niche enough for you to be able to tackle. [01:58] Thanks for watching!
