some metrics that are way more important
than the number of subscribers that you
have especially if you want to make a
full-time living from your content
here's the thing about subscriber
numbers there's a big difference between
someone watching your videos for free
and someone who's willing to pay for
your content and subscriber numbers just
don't tell you how many of either group
are in your audience most successful
creators aren't earning money just from
youtube they've got digital products
merch membership sites you name it when
you have those multiple income streams
youtube turns into a discovery and
marketing tool where you can nurture an
audience and turn casual viewers into
true fans subscriber numbers might be
fun to brag about and get you a really
cool silver or gold or diamond or
whatever play button but as your
business grows you'll see that these
other metrics paint a much clearer
picture it's not the data
report to become that discovery tool one
number you'll want to look at is click
