[0:17] virtual avatar in place of their real
[0:19] life phase using various tracking
[0:20] technology
[0:22] this is done for a few reasons the big
[0:24] ones being anonymity role play and well
[0:28] just wanting to become anime and as
[0:30] weebs why wouldn't we want to become
[0:32] anime right
[0:33] so now that we know what a v tuber is
[0:36] how do we make one
[0:38] unfortunately you can't just swirl a v2
[0:40] ring into existence like you can your
[0:42] anime waifus but as with everything
[0:45] where there's a will there's a way i
[0:47] will focus on the 2d side of v tubing
[0:49] but a lot of what i say can also be
[0:51] applied to 3d and png tubing as well so
[0:54] creating a v tuber is essentially
[0:56] creating a character when you create a
[0:58] character you need a concept so grab
[1:01] that pen and paper
[1:02] or open up google docs whichever one is
[1:05] preferable and write down what you want
[1:07] your character to be are they a rapping
[1:09] reaper of death satan herself or a bird
[1:13] with a single wing yo look at the
[1:15] feather physics though
[1:18] whatever you want write it down and get
[1:20] a general idea of your vtuber after
[1:22] you've done that it's time for some
[1:23] concept art i'm not an artist i can't
[1:27] draw
[1:28] well here's the best part you don't
[1:30] actually need to let's say you're making
[1:32] a dragon v tuber there's a sea of images
[1:34] that you can google and make a reference
[1:36] sheet out of all you need to do is right
[1:38] click and save image and if tears are so
[1:40] furious at me right now you think it's
[1:42] funny to take screenshots of people's
[1:44] nfts
[1:47] so now you should have a description of
[1:48] your character along with a reference
[1:50] sheet or concept art awesome you're part
[1:53] of the way there already now it's time
[1:55] to find your parents
[1:56] no no no not your actual parents your
[1:59] youtuber parents these are the people
[2:01] who bring you to life by creating and
[2:03] rigging your model some have separate
[2:05] parents for their model art and rigging
[2:07] some have a single parent who'll do both
[2:10] as kind of a bundle and some are even
[2:12] their own parents like me i was my own
[2:15] daddy
[2:16] yeah when i first made my own model
[2:19] so where should you go to find them i
[2:21] find my artist and rigger through
[2:22] twitter but you can also use services
[2:24] such as fiverr and in discord community
[2:26] such as the live2d server which has a
[2:28] vendor channel listing various artists
[2:31] and riggers now here's a pro tip though
[2:33] don't rush into picking someone take
[2:35] your time and look around read their
[2:37] terms and conditions carefully please
[2:40] you want to know what you're getting
[2:41] yourself into before you commit and
[2:43] spend a lot more money than you're
[2:45] willing to on something that you're not
[2:47] going to be satisfied in or you're not
[2:48] going to be a ladder visions on or
[2:49] something like that on the topic of cost
[2:52] a typical 2d model can set you back
[2:54] anywhere from 500
[2:55] to 2 000
[2:57] but that's not to say that you can't
[2:59] find cheaper deals or if you know how to
[3:01] draw you can make it yourself for free
[3:03] learning live 2d takes time but it
[3:05] certainly isn't impossible and there are
[3:08] a plethora of tutorials out there that
[3:10] i've personally binged when making my
[3:12] first model i personally recommend kira
[3:14] omori's channel for learning life2d
[3:16] she's been a real life saver when i was
[3:18] first starting out and rigging my first

[3:53] v tube studio there is a video made by
[3:55] vault falcon directly comparing the
[3:57] three which i highly recommend you watch
[3:59] right after this video to get a real
[4:00] sense of the pros and cons of each
[4:02] software at a glance
[4:04] for this video i'll show you how to use
[4:05] v tube studio as it's what i'm most
[4:07] comfortable with setup is fairly
[4:09] straightforward you import your model by
[4:11] following the instructions turn on your
[4:13] desired camera for me it's my webcam and
[4:15] you can adjust the settings to your
[4:17] liking mess around with what you find
[4:19] works best for you oh and make sure you
[4:21] have the transparency box ticked so you
[4:23] can overlay your model on obs alright
[4:25] great now that view tracking is set up
[4:27] we can move on to the final phase which
[4:29] is putting it all together in obs super
[4:31] simple stuff simply create a game source
[4:34] and select your face tracking software
[4:35] and vote
[4:36] you're done that was literally it now
[4:39] you can move around as the anime waifu
[4:40] or husbando that you've always dreamt of
[4:42] becoming all that's left now is for you
