## Summary

In this video, Monika creates a VTuber model in Vroid Studio based on a sketch drawn by her younger sister. She explains her process of adapting the sketch into a 2D-style model, discussing challenges with facial features, textures, and clothing, while sharing her personal preferences and tips.

### Key Points

- **Introduction and Sketch** [00:04] — Monika introduces the video, showing the sketch drawn by her younger sister, which will guide the model creation. She defends her sister's drawing skills.
- **Style Choice** [00:22] — She decides to make the model in her own 2D style ('a la 2D'), having previously used this style on her own Vroid models. She won't switch back to 3D.
- **Eyes and Mouth** [01:07] — She assumes the character's eyes are blue since the sketch doesn't specify. Eyes were easy, but the mouth was difficult: creating a 2D mouth-stick in Vroid is challenging, and she notes issues with mouth opening and texture-to-emotion transitions.
- **Hairstyle** [02:03] — She uses a ready-made hairstyle, modifying it, as she finds creating hairstyles in Vroid difficult. She changes hair color and applies 2D textures, sometimes creating two textures for shading.
- **Skin and Body** [02:29] — She adjusts the skin tone to be more yellowish, adds shadows to the face to avoid an unnaturally wide look, and leaves the legs as is.
- **Clothing Design** [02:57] — She designs a red dress with an open neckline, opts for no sleeves, adds a stroke to reduce 3D appearance, and considers adding white frills at the bottom for detail.
- **Mirroring and Experience** [03:29] — She notes that using mirroring in Vroid has made model creation easier compared to her first models, attributing it to updates or her own experience.
- **Shoes and Accessories** [04:09] — She creates pink sneakers, which she finds fun and looks good with a stroke. She adds a red and black glove as compensation for no sleeves, and considers bright yellow tights.
- **Conclusion** [04:55] — She finishes the model, thanks viewers, and asks for likes and subscriptions.

### Conclusion

Monika successfully creates a VTuber model in Vroid Studio from her sister's sketch, demonstrating her workflow and personal style choices, and encourages viewers to engage with her channel.

## Transcript

Hello everyone, I'm Monika. And today I will make a model according from a sketch which my younger sister drew for me. I asked her to quickly draw something nd this is the sketch she had and it is from it we will be guided. I say right away that I immediately
say that I will immediately delete any negative opinion about my younger sister's drawings, because I think that for her age it is great. Let's start with the face. The main thing is not to forget to make the character's skin a little more yellowish. I am thinking of making a model in my
own style, that is, that is, such a la 2D. I have already tried it on my own models that I made for myself in a vroid. Obviously, I'm not going to show this and I'm not going to switch back to the 3D model,
because I believe that this is the model because I believe that in my 2D model, which I have now, it already has some kind of aesthetics. I don't want to give it up, although I also liked the previous model. I try to make the eyes as cartoonish as possible and as little gradient
as possible. So on the sketch of my sister, the girl does not show what color her eyes are, but I assume that they are blue. In principle, the eyes turned out quite simply, it was not difficult for me to
make them . But as for the mouth, I worn out with it very much, because I will make such a 2D mouth-stick, it is easy to do in some graphic editor, it is easy to draw it for a character. But in vroid you will be tormented with it. The first time I tried this style, I only later
noticed that when the mouth opens, it looks terribly bad. And just with the Vroid update, it turned out very inconvenient there that you can't go from textures to emotions right away. You must first
save the texture, then the next one, then the next one. But I'm not saying that it was better before . No, it hasn't been better before. And just with the hairstyles, I decided not to bother too much,
to do nothing, because I don't really like doing hairstyles in Vroid. This is difficult for me. And so I took a ready-made hairstyle, designed it, and I will continue to work with it. Then we change the color of the
hair, it seems to me that I managed to get into the color. And then we make them more 2D too. This is all done in textures. I change the settings in the textures and it's probably better to create 2 textures, even to
darken some hair, and not darken some. So now let's finally get to her skin and body. In principle, it seems to me that the legs can already be left as they are, but as for the face, I still think to make some more shadows, because without shadows it looks unnaturally wide in relation
to the body, and honestly, this is a bit creepy ... So yes, in principle, there weren't many problems with the rest of the parts . And in principle, it seems to me that the character itself is already finished. We need to make
clothes. Here the girl gets a red dress, open, that is, with such an open neckline, but I think it's better not to make the sleeves for her. This is already, as they say, my author's idea. And you need to make the dress also some kind of stroke, otherwise it looks too, too 3D. And, in principle, it even looks
good, but it seems to me somehow empty. What if the frills are so white on the bottom? I think it will look cool. I actually really like to watch all sorts of processes of creating models in Vroid, and there is just one person, he made just a gorgeous dress in Vroid,
and there were so many of these frills, I just look like this: "Damn, can you do it too?" By the way, when I made my first models, I did them without mirroring. It was so hard,
but with these models I already suffer much less. I don’t know if this update had such an impact or my own experience as a model-maker already? Although I actually after creating my live2d model,
I just gave up this business. Because I had more to do with creating models. Plus , why would I need to practice in Vroid when I can practice in live2d? So I
have already dealt with the dress and the matter is small. It remains to make her shoes here. Does she have such pink sneakers, or what is it? Well, let's assume that these are sneakers. Honestly though, you can make any shoe here. By the way, sneakers turn out to be more fun,
because I really liked the process. And with a stroke, they look good, that is , you can see what is straight, as if ala 2D. I think I will make this glove for the girl, because as compensation for the sleeves. No sleeves, there will be gloves. The same red and black. Looks stylish to
me . The girl's legs are so bright yellow in the sketch, in contrast to the face. It seems to me that you can make some bright yellow tights more. What do you think? I think yes, it is worth getting these tights for her. I think it will be super cool. Thank you all for watching, like
, subscribe to the channel. Thank you all very much, bye bye.
