## Summary

This video is a raid guide for the Sszorak boss fight in The Venomous Abyss, covering both Normal and Heroic difficulties. The guide focuses on key mechanics such as dodging tornadoes, tanking frontal cones, coordinating knockbacks, and managing wind intermissions.

### Key Points

- **Introduction to Sszorak Fight** [00:00] — Hazel introduces the guide for the Sszorak fight on Normal and Heroic difficulty, emphasizing the challenge of avoiding being knocked off the platform.
- **Apex Predator Combo** [00:12] — The boss uses Apex Predator, which involves two Ravage Cones, two Mutilate group soaks, and a tempest in random order. Tanks must trade the boss to avoid taking more than one of each cone.
- **Tank Responsibilities** [00:24] — Tanks need to taunt to update the boss's target, ensuring each tank handles one Ravage and one Mutilate. Other players should soak the green Mutilate cone but avoid Ravage.
- **Corroding Venom Stacks** [00:39] — The boss stacks Corroding Venom on the tank, and tanks should swap at around six stacks to manage the debuff.
- **Raging Crosswinds Mechanic** [00:51] — Raging Crosswinds assigns players to be knocked back in one of two directions. Players must find another player knocked in the opposite direction and collide midair to avoid falling.
- **Wind Ball Intermission** [01:08] — At the start, air balls appear in three tunnels, indicating the direction and order of wind pushbacks during intermissions (1, 2, 3).
- **Viscous Cysts Placement** [01:26] — Players marked with Viscous Cysts must drop them opposite each wind ball. At least one cyst per wind direction is needed to prevent being knocked off during the pushback.
- **Using Cysts for Safety** [01:44] — When someone touches a cyst, it knocks everyone away, helping players stay on the platform. This happens three times before returning to phase one.
- **Heroic Difficulty Changes** [02:11] — On Heroic, the Mutilate soak cone applies a big debuff, so players should avoid taking two. Assign group 1 and group 2 to safely soak, and the fight forces more movement.

### Conclusion

Mastering the Sszorak fight requires precise coordination of tank swaps, cone soaks, and wind mechanics. The guide provides clear strategies for both Normal and Heroic difficulties, ensuring players can avoid being knocked off and successfully defeat the boss.

## Transcript

Hi! I’m Hazel, and this is a guide to the Sszorak fight in The Venomous Abyss on Normal and Heroic difficulty. It’s gonna get windy and the dream today is to not get knocked off.
Apex Predator is a fun combo for everybody.. He’s gonna spit out two Ravage Cones, two Mutilate group soaks and a tempest in a random order. Tempest fires out these tornadoes to dodge,
that’s easy enough. Ravage and Mutilate are both frontal cones, and the tanks need to trade the boss to avoid taking more than one of each cone per tank. Taunting will live update the bosses target,, just make sure you each tank one ravage and one mutilate. Other players
should get into the green Mutilate cone to help soak, but stay out of the ravage. He also stacks up Corroding Venom on his tank, you can swap around six or so stacks of that.
Raging Crosswinds assigns players to be knocked back in one of two directions. You can see which way you’re headed from this indicator. You need to find a player getting knocked in the other direction and then position yourselves so that you two clonk together in midair.
Now at the start of the fight, you’ll see air balls in three of the tunnels around the room. One has one ball, another has two and a third has three air balls in it. That tells us both where the wind pushback in the intermission is going to come from, and in what order. 1, 2, 3.
During the fight, a few people will get marked to drop Viscous Cysts. You want to drop one of those opposite of each wind ball. So if the winds are coming from here, here and here, you need at least one cyst placed here, here and here. Ideally someone smart can drop raid markers
at your three spots at the top of the fight, and make sure you drop at least one cyst on each. you’ll all get pushed back. When someone touches the cyst, it’ll knock everyone away from it,
which should keep you on the platform. We do this three times, then we’re back to phase one. On Normal, that’s it! On Heroic, the Mutilate soak cone from the combo attack gets a big debuff, so
now nobody should be taking two of those. Assign a group 1 and a group 2 to safely soak that. and will force you to move around the room a bit.
I’ve got more raid guides if you want ‘em and have a wonderful, wonderful day. Bye!
