So, how did India complete this journey and did India today mean that today only It is not like India went and reached there today, [01:18] rather first of all I will give you a little concept of what it takes to land on the moon and how it is done, right, what things are required for it, so how it is done, right, what things are required for it, so [01:33] that basically what happens is that there are three or four things, one we have an organization of India, Indian Research Space Organization, [01:45] right, which is called ISRO, that is Indian Space Research Organization, this is basically an organization which does different types of missions, different types of space missions, right, which basically makes different types of [02:01] spaceship type satellites, spaceships and different such things which can go beyond the Earth, right, and can go into space, right, so what did India make, India first made Chandrayaan-1, [02:15] right, Chandrayaan-1 was made first, that is Chandrayaan-1, then India made Chandrayaan-2 and then Chandrayaan- 3, right, Chandrayaan-1 was so much It was not successful, okay, Chandrayaan 2 was supposed to land in 2009 [02:32] but it could not land and crashed and after that India's third one which has landed in 2023, today on August [02:44] 23, so the one which has landed is our Chandrayaan, okay, Chandrayaan was, well what is this, basically India's first attempt was to send [02:56] one of its spacecraft Chandrayaan in 2019 and basically what happened was that it went into space, okay, it even reached the Moon, but as soon as it reached near the Moon and then started landing, okay, then it crashed, okay, but whatever technical errors were there in it and all these [03:11] things, then the scientists looked into it and understood it and after that they made Chandrayaan 3, okay, what are the things inside Chandrayaan 3, we will discuss them in some detail now, but first let me tell you [03:26] two-three things which are important for you to know, why can't we land on the Moon, Basically, the temperature on the moon is like the way we have [03:38] morning and night. At night, the temperature is an optimum temperature and what happens in the morning is normal for us in terms of body temperature. The temperature on the moon at night goes into minus at the South Pole, [03:54] goes into minus at the South Pole, minus minus 232, that is, it reaches almost to -22 degrees Celsius, that is, it is a very freezing it is a very freezing temperature where it is [04:07] temperature where it is basically, there are three or four things that you have to do to go to the moon. First of all, you reach the moon and from there you do a flyover, that is, [04:23] basically you have reached the moon and you have taken a complete round around the orbit of the moon, that is, around the moon. Okay, there you Okay, there you took different footages, different pictures, etc. [04:36] and then you You came back or you sent some satellites to the organization, okay, one is this, the second is that you went to the moon, okay, and [04:48] after reaching the moon, you landed there, okay, you landed, and the meaning of landing is that while landing, your spacecraft or whatever you sent for the mission, whatever machine or spacecraft we sent, it can crash as soon as it lands there, okay, so [05:04] this is also a possibility, basically this is what happened in Chandrayaan 2, that it reached the moon and as soon as it impacted the moon, that is, it tried to land on the moon, it crashed there, okay, whereas the third [05:19] thing is that after reaching the moon, you left some part of your spaceship there and got it some part of your spaceship there and got it [05:32] now for this, many technical things seem very simple, it is very technical because you are sending it from here to the moon and after that, if any machine goes to the moon, then basically what is its velocity It impacts, if the [05:46] velocity is very high then as soon as it hits the surface of the moon it can get destroyed like Chandrayaan 2 of India in 2019, but now the Chandrayaan was basically so well equipped and so well developed [06:02] that it not only reached the moon but also one of its parts which is called Vikram, okay, basically the Chandrayaan of the moon is like a complete spacecraft, like a space ship, okay, which they sent into space, okay, and [06:18] after that one of its parts got detached from Chandrayaan, okay, which we have called Vikram, which they named Vikram, okay, that Vikram, basically that part, that part of Chandrayaan which is detached, [06:33] part of Chandrayaan which is detached, Vikram, has landed on the moon, okay, now it has landed on the moon and now what can it do there, they will basically see whether there is water there, and where has it landed, [06:46] basically at the South Pole, at the South Pole. It has landed on the South Pole. India had already said this earlier as well, the ARO organization had also said earlier that water is present on the Moon. They have found some ice pieces on the South Pole and [07:01] they believe that water is present there. They had earlier carried out missions from Chandrayaan 2 and Chandrayaan 1, so they had got this information from that. So now they have landed, right? Our Vikram or the [07:16] part of Chandrayaan 1, Vikram, has landed on the Moon. Now basically what will it do there, it will basically search for water, whether water is present there or not, what is the chemical composition of the soil there, what is its soil, what is [07:31] its chemical composition, it will find out that. Apart from that, it will Apart from that, it will take different pictures, it will melt all the types of ice there with a laser beam and will see whether the gases are present in it, whether [07:45] oxygen is present in the gas or not, or what are its types and what are its compositions, so this is one It's a very big thing that India will do this, because India's because India's Chandrayaan has reached the moon, [08:00] and not only reached there, but India has also spoiled its own flag there. It can move, in the same way Vikram, basically the robotic part is named Vikram, so Vikram can move there, okay, [09:08] and can take footage of all the other things, etc. One thing is very important, which is [09:21] these processes there, it takes approximately 15 to 16 days, within this it can do all these things and can find out whether there is water there or not, is water there or not, what is the gas composition there, it can [09:33] take footage of different places, so India can do all these things within 14 to 15 days, why, because as I told you that the temperature on the moon, just like there is night and morning here, and the temperature is hot, okay, there is [09:48] a normal temperature, it is warm and at night and the temperature becomes cold, it is okay inside the Earth also, but on the moon it is absolutely extreme, that as soon as there is night on the moon At night, there is extreme freezing temperature, which is [10:04] present on the moon. So, due to such freezing temperature, it is very difficult to operate due to such freezing temperature, it is very difficult to operate any machine or do any kind of work there. Even if it is done through a machine, it can still be [10:20] very difficult because the temperature also affects the working capabilities of the machine and the way it is designed. Secondly, one day on the moon is equal to 28 days on Earth. That [10:39] one day on the moon is equal to 28 days on Earth. That means if one month passes here, then one day will pass on the moon. So, India's Vikram Chandrayaan has just arrived. Right now, India has approximately 13 or 14 [10:56] days in which they can do a lot of research.
