while I know most of you already have a Coinbase account, today's tutorial is Coinbase Advanced. This is much better for trading and investing. It's not only
more transparent, you also get much cheaper fees and spreads than what the beginners get on just regular Coinbase. So, you're paying more. Like here, on regular Coinbase, we are pro traders and you save money when
you buy and sell and trade with Coinbase Advanced, as well as better features. So, number one, as you know, Coinbase is fully compliant. They're traded publicly on the New York Stock Exchange and they're regulated. So, you will have to
complete KYC. This stands for know your customer. It's a verification process. Everybody will have to do this. To me, it didn't take that long. It was fast, secure, and it is required by law. And don't worry, your data is protected by
what I like to say is Coinbase's industry-leading security infrastructure. So, in order to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, Zcash, whatever you like, the first thing we need to do is deposit. You can either deposit fund You
can either deposit cash right from your bank account or deposit crypto, whether that's stable coins or Bitcoin, the altcoins that are offered on Coinbase account. Once we're here, another thing I like to
know are fees. One thing that I appreciate very transparent. So, I'm here in portfolio. Obviously, the more you trade, the better fees you get. It's a tier system,
fees in the maker fees, maker fees, rather than taker fees, taker fees. So, I'm going to show you how to get the best uh with maker. So, we're back on markets, things to note, we can trade
spot, we can trade futures, perps, stocks, indices, commodities, FX. Add a watch list, so you can know your favorite coins, uh your favorite stocks, whatever it is, in one single place. That's a pro move. The thing I want to
highlight to you today is the two main stable coins you can trade with, trade against, if you're trading crypto, is USDC and USDT. That's the trading pair.
I like to trade with USDC on Coinbase uh because they're such big backers of that stable coin, and of course, you can also trade, I don't really see it here, but you can also trade Let's go right here. One pair, one coin against another. So,
BTC right into ETH. You don't have to go in between with that stable coin. BTC right into DOGE. Again, as we go through this, follow along and grab your up to $275 in USDC rewards. So, let's understand
what a market order is versus what a limit order is, some of these other options, as well as how to set a stop loss and take profit. Again, what pro traders need to understand. A market order is essentially you are going to
buy that crypto now at whatever price it's currently trading at. So, you can the order book right here, uh all the potential sellers and the price they want and the potential buyers and the price they want and where they meet in
the middle, that's the price that Bitcoin is currently trading at. If I wanted to buy $5 of Bitcoin with my USDC, just plug the five in right there. I can also switch that and buy that much Bitcoin but put
that and buy that much Bitcoin but put it in Bitcoin terms and that's around $5 of USDC. To be clear, a market order is buying the price of that coin now versus a limit order is setting the price that you want to buy it and and letting the
there. Because we're focused on market order, it is important to understand that is going to be slightly more fees because you were using cuz you were taking liquidity from the order book. A market
order uses taker fees because you were taking liquidity from that order book and buying at the price now. If we go over to limit order, that is often the maker fees because if if we're not buying immediately, that puts liquidity
into the order book and for that you are rewarded with maker fees or in this case, less expensive fees. And this is sort of how it works on all major exchanges. But what's a limit order and how do I use it effectively as an
advanced trader? A limit order lets the price come to you. So, even though the price at the time of recording is around $83,900 for one Bitcoin, let's say and by the way, any of these you can buy
or you can sell. I'm interested in buying and long-term holding. Let's say though, I think we're going to correct more. I don't want to buy at 84, let's say. I want to buy if we can touch back at 81. We hit the support right
81 will go a little up. I want to buy at $81.888. That's the price I'm willing to buy at. the amount of money, let's go $7. That's how much conviction I have. So again, if
this happens, I get a better entry because I'm using a limit order. You'll notice these two check boxes down here, post only. What does that mean? Well, as it says, let me read this to you. When checked, your order can only
execute as a maker order. Your order will be canceled if it would take liquidity. So essentially, this really applies most if you want to set a limit order, but it's so close to the actual price, the actual market price, maybe
going to take liquidity immediately, even though you're setting a limit. This essentially makes sure that you're only using that you're only going to make a market, put in liquidity. So post only is very good for the best fees.
When I'm ready to buy or sell, when that happens, that appears right here. At any time, you can cancel the order, edit the order, very customizable, and you see my order, very customizable, and you see my buy order, my limit order set right here
if the price hits. Although we can change that in real time. Maybe I change my mind, I want to I want to set the buy actually if it dips a little lower, everything updates, which I love. Now let's close this out. A few other things
to note that advanced traders know, so you need to know. Coinbase gives you you need to know. Coinbase gives you access to all the best indicators. Some common ones we use all the time on this channel, moving averages, right? Then
you can customize that. Actually, we'll use two moving averages. We like to use the Let's edit this. Inputs, the 50-day, as well as 50-week, although we're on the day chart, and the
style them differently so we can tell the difference. This allows us to trade like a professional. To follow along with me, use the indicators that I use and more. There's a link down below, highly recommend. There's also a stop
limit feature, a TWAP feature, and understand what a stop limit order is. A stop limit order automatically places a limit order to buy or sell when an asset's price reaches a specified value known as the
stop price. This order type may help manage risk by protecting profits, limiting losses, or initiating new positions. And to set a stop limit order, you just click like here. And of course, understanding TWAP
or time weighted average price orders, a time weighted average price or TWAP time weighted average price or TWAP order minimizes the market impact of large orders and ensures smooth execution when the order size exceeds
the available liquidity in the order book. So, you'll use this if you're a high money trader. By splitting large orders into smaller increments and executing them at scheduled intervals over a set
duration, TWAP orders help achieve an average trading execution price that closely matches the market average during the specified time period. Always going to cover everything in today's video. Setting a take profit and setting
a stop loss very important to understand and use. This can save you. And actually, to demonstrate or just even talk about it more, let's go over to perps. Trading perps allows you to bet on the
direction that an asset will go, but not have to worry about timing. So, let's say I'm bullish on XRP. I think it's going to $10, although there'll be rocky rockiness along the way. And again guys, this is all just
I I I don't know what the price of XRP will do. Obviously, this is all just hypothetical, but let's say I am bullish. We're going to go over to this trading pair, this perp. We can set either a market or a limit order. Let's
say I I I if XRP can drop a little bit more, give me a better entry. We'll go right here, a dollar 25, a little bit more. A dollar 25 09.
And let's say I want What can I get? I'll I'll take one contract. That's how bullish I am. Before I set the trade, I click on the take profits or the stop losses I want to set. And essentially, that what that means,
if this hits and I enable am able to get an entry at the limit that I want the price to come to, a take profit uh supports me and helps me on the upside, a stop loss protects me and
supports me on the downside. So, maybe I take profits I take a little bit of profits if we just hit all-time highs again uh local highs again at $1.70. So, my take profit is going to be 1.7. That's 36% and that's not bad. You can
see the profit and loss would be way in the green. But let's say if it hits and even drops a little bit lower, there's not a lot of support between here and I guess the next one will be $1.16.
I want to get out of this trade immediately. So, again, setting a stop loss helps give me some support or protection on the downside. Other things to note, this is where you can see how much leverage you're taking on. Again,
practice proper risk management, but when you're trading in derivatives and different coins with many different leverage opportunities where you can trade perps. If you do it safely, always practice proper risk management. Then we
We set our trade and what I want to show you is, number one, it hasn't hit yet waiting for the price to come to me, but I want to long it. I can also choose to
short it if I choose to sell, but I'm choosing to long it. If the price comes to me, I can also adjust my take profits or adjust my stop losses in real time as I get new information or as I get more conviction
or less conviction on the trade. Very customizable. Again, perps are becoming more and more popular because you can trade on the price direction of an asset without having to necessarily get the timing right on the asset as long as
also look at stocks. This is where you're able to I mean, trade stocks on Coinbase. TradFi and CryptoFi are converging. They have MSTR,
Micro Michael Saylor strategy stock. They have, of course, Nvidia. We can also look at commodities and see you have access to oil, copper, gold, silver. You can trade commodities but directionally on the price and invest or
trade on the ticker. As has been announced, Coinbase has acquired Deribit. So, you are able to trade options. If anybody's interested in pre-IPO stocks, if you want to get an early trade, get early trading access to
Open AI or Anthropic, Coinbase also offers that too. And while there's always more we could discuss, Coinbase was the very first exchange, I believe, when I started my crypto journey. I
still use them today. It's because they are the most regulated. They are trusted by millions worldwide, so it's where I choose to buy, sell, and trade crypto. If you don't have a a Coinbase account, I highly recommend you get one. Use
referral code Altcoin Daily and take advantage of the bonuses, right? Limited time. These bonuses will not last forever. Link down below.
