[0:00] Hello guys, how's it going? My name is [0:01] Dial. And it seems that patch 12.0.7 [0:03] completely broke leveling in Midnight, [0:06] but in the best way possible. Let's be [0:08] honest, up until now leveling in this [0:10] expansion hasn't been completely [0:11] terribly slow, but also hasn't really [0:13] been fast either. With many players [0:15] noting that it kind of feels like a [0:16] slog, especially with the gear scaling [0:18] dropping off as you're trying to make [0:20] your way through the final few levels. [0:22] Thankfully, this patch in particular [0:24] transforms how we're going to be [0:25] leveling our alts or any of our [0:27] characters. Blizzard heavily buffed up [0:29] the experience gain for this patch all [0:30] across the board, increasing the amount [0:32] of gains you can make from your weekly [0:34] content, pray, delve quests, but even [0:37] also the new invasion zones where you [0:38] can basically take a character from [0:40] level 80 to 90 in a single afternoon. [0:43] And it's only going to get sillier from [0:45] here because the expected Turbulent [0:47] Timeways event is going to go online, [0:49] buffing up experience for everybody by [0:51] 30 additional percent, which is going to [0:53] make leveling that much more of a [0:55] breeze. So, for today's video, I simply [0:57] wanted to highlight exactly how players [0:58] are leveling their alts, going over some [1:00] of the fastest and some of the easiest [1:02] brain-off routing available, especially [1:04] if you're trying to bolster up your army [1:06] of alts ahead of season two content with [1:08] the patch 12.1 looming on the horizon. [1:12] With that being said, as always, if you [1:13] guys want to see more regular guides and [1:14] updates for Midnight as an expansion, be [1:16] sure to follow the channel and [1:17] subscribe. But otherwise, let's dive [1:21] right in. [1:24] So, before we actually get into the [1:25] leveling route, I do want to talk a [1:26] little bit about war mode. Technically, [1:28] war mode is ideal if you are going to be [1:31] leveling from 80 to 90 and are trying to [1:33] make it as fast as possible. Enabling [1:35] war mode does mean that the open world [1:37] becomes a little more dangerous, so if [1:38] you're really averse to, you know, PvP [1:40] combat in general, you probably don't [1:43] want to have it enabled all the time, [1:45] but do know that you're likely going to [1:47] be going back to Silvermoon to re-enable [1:49] it because having it out for so many [1:51] different open world quests is huge. 15% [1:55] additional EXP that you can get on [1:56] average for most characters depending on [1:58] the faction balance up in the open world [2:00] ends up being massive. So, it is [2:02] something that you likely just want to [2:04] put on and then keep on. You're not [2:06] really going to spend too much time [2:07] actually doing stuff in the open world. [2:09] So, the danger level shouldn't be that [2:10] high. But if you do have to turn it off, [2:13] you may want to go back to capital city [2:15] to turn it back on before you turn in [2:16] some of the quests. But basically, you [2:18] try to have it on as all as best as [2:19] possible because the amount of XP you [2:21] get out of it is more than worth it. [2:25] Now, another thing that we'll be doing [2:26] for this strategy is while we're [2:27] figuring out our route, the route isn't [2:29] specifically set up in such a way where [2:31] you have to do like one zone the next [2:33] then the next in a very specific order. [2:35] Technically, you're free to do any zone [2:37] you want to, but essentially you'll be [2:39] using the prey system to guide you which [2:41] zone you're going to be leveling in. [2:43] Prey quests for the weekly are worth it. [2:45] They grant you a decent bit of EXP. So, [2:48] picking them up basically selects which [2:50] zone you're going to be clearing out. [2:52] And essentially, you want to end that [2:53] zone by finishing off your prey target [2:55] because that'll immediately teleport you [2:56] to Silvermoon. Not only completing a [2:58] quest, which will have a bonus within [3:00] war mode, which is massive, but also [3:02] takes you back to Silvermoon to select [3:04] the next prey area and then do that zone [3:07] specifically. So, we'll be utilizing [3:09] prey together with all the other [3:10] content. It doesn't really matter which [3:12] zone you do first for this, but I am [3:14] going to break down the zones more or [3:15] less in the terms of the in terms of the [3:17] order that I did them specifically. But [3:20] every time you go into a zone, make sure [3:22] you have a prey active within that zone [3:24] and you want to be finishing of that [3:25] zone with completing that prey objective [3:27] specifically. [3:30] Now, the basic objective no matter which [3:31] zone you go into is to do that zone's [3:34] event. So, every single one of the [3:36] factions or I guess the three that we'll [3:38] be actually utilizing instead of four [3:40] has some sort of like a big zone event. [3:42] Whether I'm talking about abundance, [3:43] swaray, or the harandar stories. Those [3:45] are the three you're going to want to [3:46] focus on. You still want to visit void [3:48] storm. You're just not going to be using [3:50] doing the void assault because it's not [3:51] really worth the time spent doing it or [3:53] the XP that you get up for the time [3:55] spent, but the others are definitely [3:57] worth it. So, every single zone you're [3:58] going to go into, you want to do the [4:00] pre-objective there, get the delves of [4:02] those zones done, but not turned in just [4:03] yet, and do the world event of that zone [4:06] if one is available, since abundance [4:08] tends to move around quite regularly. [4:10] The first zone I went to was Horrendar. [4:13] And in Horrendar, make sure you complete [4:15] the zone's weekly quest with the [4:16] Horrendar stories. Doesn't really matter [4:18] which one you select, but definitely [4:20] worth doing especially in a war mode. As [4:22] well as you want to make sure to get all [4:24] of the other delves within the zone [4:26] completed, and then, like I said before, [4:29] finishing out with praying. [4:31] From there, I actually ended up doing a [4:32] void storm where I simply completed all [4:34] of the delves of the zone, killed a [4:36] couple of rares since they were on the [4:38] way, and then mostly focusing keeping up [4:40] and finishing up by praying. From there, [4:42] I moved on to Zul'Aman, which make sure [4:44] to get all of those delves done. And [4:45] while you're within those zones, whether [4:47] it is void storm, Eversong Woods, [4:49] Zul'Aman, or Horrendar, if you do see [4:51] the abundance event, it's definitely [4:53] worth doing even in war mode. You can [4:56] technically turn it off since war mode [4:57] is enabled and you can't technically PvP [4:59] within the abundance. Most players don't [5:01] really do that since they're there to [5:03] level anyway. I usually can find like a [5:05] little pocket where you can just collect [5:06] all your abundance resources without [5:08] having to engage with other players, but [5:09] definitely worth doing and worth [5:11] completing whenever it is available. [5:13] Last zone I went to was Eversong Woods, [5:15] which is filled with a ton of delves. [5:17] Not only do you have the delves the two [5:19] next to Silvermoon, you have one up [5:20] north in the Quel'Thalas area, but also [5:23] one south below as well. So, that's a [5:25] lot of delves for you to complete, but [5:26] also this war event. [5:29] Notably on this war event, I think the [5:31] side quests for this war are generally [5:33] worth doing. They don't give you a lot [5:35] of XP, but they're usually so quick to [5:36] complete, especially if you choose the [5:38] Blood Knights faction. They really take [5:40] very little effort, and they're within [5:42] the relative zone area, so it's not like [5:44] you're really having to go out of your [5:45] way to complete them as well. So, if you [5:47] are trying to maximize those rewards, [5:49] technically you can go for any other [5:51] faction, whatever faction you're working [5:52] on, and it's not like it's going to take [5:54] you that much time and really be that [5:56] much out of the way to complete those [5:58] faction quests. Though, if you are [6:00] trying to maximize your speed run [6:02] potential for this, Blood Knights [6:04] apparently is the best faction for you [6:06] to do all of those side quests into. [6:08] Though, some of them can definitely be a [6:10] little bit finicky because of the way [6:11] that you select those side quests [6:13] depending on the faction can apparently [6:15] be a little different. There's a lot of [6:17] nuance to it and a lot of like detail [6:19] stuff, but generally speaking, Blood [6:21] Knights is the faster faction for any of [6:23] those side quests. And make sure you [6:25] complete the weekly quests as well. [6:28] Completing all of those weekly events [6:30] and having all of those delve quests [6:32] that you were ready to turn in at once [6:34] with war mode active to make sure that [6:36] you get in the most of experience for [6:39] the world questing cuz technically those [6:41] delve quests and weekly quests are [6:43] quests in the open world. So, with the [6:45] world scale with the war mode bonus, all [6:47] of them can easily take you up four [6:49] levels. So, that's four levels that you [6:51] don't actually have to grind through, [6:53] quest through, or do much with. What's [6:55] notable here is this is four free levels [6:58] just for doing your weekly objectives [7:00] that you can just do once and get the [7:02] most amount of experience for the time [7:03] spent. On top of it though, this is [7:06] going to scale even crazily out of [7:08] control because you're looking at four [7:10] easy levels now, but when Turbulent [7:11] Timeways is active for 30% additional [7:14] experience, that's going to be even more [7:17] value since all of those quests are [7:19] quests and Turbulent Timeways will [7:21] reward you additional experience for [7:22] quests specifically, which will stack [7:25] with war mode and all the other bonuses. [7:27] And if you can get Darkmoon Faire [7:28] squeezed in between of it for 10% more [7:30] XP, you can really get a lot of mileage [7:33] out of those weekly quests, which makes [7:34] them definitely worth doing. And [7:37] technically, you can wait to turn in all [7:38] of those weekly quests up until you're [7:40] level 86 just so you can skip that last [7:42] four levels from 86 all the way to a 90. [7:46] Or I guess technically could do it at 85 [7:49] once the turbulent timer bonus and any [7:51] other benefits are online as well. [7:55] Now, by the time that I was done [7:57] clearing out all those weekly [7:58] objectives, I was able to go from 80 to [8:00] 84, more or less. So, you will still [8:02] need a couple of more levels, [8:04] potentially one or two. And the best [8:06] place that I think you should get those [8:07] last few levels, well, actually will be [8:10] from the new invasion zones of Val and [8:12] Nightal. They ended up buffing the [8:14] experience rates in both of those zones [8:17] when you're running them on a non-max [8:19] level character on normal world tier. [8:22] And essentially, basically everything [8:23] you do in those zones from the quests, [8:25] side objectives, rares, world quests, [8:28] even treasures, essentially just [8:30] existing in the zone gives you [8:32] experience. Literally any activity you [8:35] do in there grants you EXP and a decent [8:37] bit of it just for completing some of [8:39] those zones passively, which also do [8:41] have other rewards as well. What makes [8:44] Val and Nightal especially good, if you [8:46] are looking to actually not just level [8:48] that character but play them in the [8:49] future, is the fact that you can start [8:51] collecting gear but also currencies to [8:53] gear out that character better once they [8:55] do hit max level. The benefits of it [8:57] being the fact that you're earning field [8:59] accolades really, really early. [9:01] Technically, if you just looking to get [9:03] the most amount of field accolades for [9:04] the time spent, you could just start out [9:06] in the zone specifically just to farm [9:08] field accolades endlessly. But you will [9:10] get a lot more field accolades once you [9:12] can do the zones in heroic world tier. [9:14] But we'll be specifically be going to [9:15] invasion zones just because it is the [9:17] simplest route to get experience. [9:19] Essentially, run around the zone, [9:21] participate in all the events, kill the [9:23] world boss if a group is available for [9:24] it, do all the side quests because [9:26] they're definitely worth it, and in no [9:28] time you should be able to complete last [9:30] few levels needed in order to get level [9:32] 90. [9:34] But with that being said, as always, I [9:35] don't want to take all of you guys so [9:36] much watching and hope you guys did [9:37] enjoy this update.
