[00:02] which makes it time to sit down and catch up on what's going on in wow this week. This week we got news already about what's coming in 12.0.5. So, even though we are neck deep in midnight release stuff going on, we [00:17] already have a pretty detailed and comprehensive sneak peek at what the next patch is going to be. So, this is just entering PTR now. It is not going be dropping sometime in the middle of season one. The most exciting thing from [00:32] those patch notes was this new thing called ascended void cores, which are basically like bonus rolls, except better. They're kind of built off the they're different in a couple of key ways. So, this is going to be a thing [00:47] you will unlock weekly and you must trade either gold, void light marl, or adventurers crest to get your void cores for the week. You can use two void cores to generate a piece of raid loot for you or one for a mythic plus piece after [01:00] It's like a bonus roll in that you have to buy it, you get it weekly, and then on based on the kind of loot that you might want to get. It's different in that whereas bonus rolls could just go oops, here's a little bit of gold, [01:14] ascended void cores are always going to get you a piece of loot. And even better than that, they will not get you a duplicate piece of loot. So, specific thing, you're not going to get that thing again if you void cord the [01:27] same boss next week. If you have a loot pool of four items on a boss and you want one specific thing, you will get that week four at the latest. I hope I nice way to guarantee that you won't be hunting for literally forever if you [01:41] want a specific thing like a trinket or a weapon from a raid boss or mythic plus I think we all know people that you can see in a specific dungeon during all trinket that just won't drop for them. This at least guarantees that they'll [01:56] get it at some point. Other things of interest in the patch notes, they're also adding extra upgrade levels kind of for fully upgraded hero and mythic track weapons with the ascended void forge. So, if you have a [02:09] fully upgraded like say a a mythic track trinket, you can then go on and void forge it several more levels uh with the void core forging going on. >> [laughter] [02:21] power late season for achieving your goals at least. we have previously been discussing as prop hunt. This is going to be kind of like a fun bonus mode where you will either be uh disguising yourself as a [02:35] to hide or searching for people that have disguised themselves as decor. Nothing super serious. It's going to offer a mount, some toys, and of course And then abyss anglers is going to be a spear fishing activity that as you do [02:50] dive ever deeper. Kind of a Dave the Diver core activity. There's a number of class changes in the 12.0.5 notes. I will link the whole exactly they're going to be doing to your class in the middle of the season. [03:05] The most exciting thing that I see in here is this battle visage for evokers. So, like your chosen form visage that lets you toggle back to your visage form outside of combat, battle visage is a toggle that when enabled allows a [03:18] dracthyr to pop back into their visage the moment that their current ability no longer requires it. So, that would let you be an evoker in your visage form in at all times except for the moment when [03:31] you would shift into dragon form for that ability that requires it and then you would immediately shift out the moment that it's over. I'm excited about this. I love the evoker class. I am not wild about being a dragon. I know that's [03:45] contradictory, but an ability like this seems written just for me. I'm excited to see how it feels and it could talk me into playing my Evoker again. A couple other things that are coming in 12.0.5 that I have categorized under [03:59] less interesting but still there. They've got Void Assaults coming which activity. And ritual sites which are one to five player instances that with difficulty tiers, they will offer champion and up [04:13] to hero track pieces and count for the world tier of the great vault. All of that sounds great, but all of that could be said about delves. What delve? Delves on a beach. It feels redundant to [04:29] the benefit of the doubt. Reading through all of the 12.0.5 notes while in the middle of trying to figure out what's going on just in the regular we're ever going to reach a point in the game where there's too much stuff to do [04:44] so that even a fun activity is kind of exhausting just because it's like another one. You know, I feel like the overwhelm cost of adding a new feature is not zero. >> [snorts] [04:57] >> And in a game that's this actively bloated, any new thing really has to be not just exhausted with it for existing before even playing it, you Maybe that's just me being spoiled that there's too much to do and my, you know, [05:11] diamond shoes are too tight or whatever, but like holy moly. >> It's a lot going on. Speaking of what's going on, I want to quickly cover what's going to be starting with this upcoming weekly reset [05:23] on March the 17th because I don't know about you, but I found the dungeon rollout schedule to be highly confusing. So, I want to dig into it and clarify what's actually coming this upcoming week and then what's not coming until [05:35] So, on March the 17th, we are getting two out of the three raids, but not on mythic. It's not mythic race week. We're Rift and Void Spire. We are getting Delve season 1. We are [05:49] getting PvP season 1. World bosses are going to open. Nightmare Prey is going going to open. Nightmare Prey is going to open. However, Mythic Plus does not open with this upcoming week. That's the following one. [06:02] What we are getting is Mythic zero dungeons are going to be moving from a weekly to a daily reset. And I've heard, I couldn't confirm this they're going to be offering Champion track gear uh from the veteran track [06:15] gear that they offer right now. So, if that's true, you can get Champion track gear out of a Mythic zero dungeon next week on a daily lockout. It sounds like you can just dungeon your heart out to gear up. There should be lots of [06:27] activity in those Mythic zeros. Happy loot gobling. Please try not to sounds like a lot. If you're looking for Mythic Plus, that is going to be coming the following week. So, the week of March 24th, actual [06:41] Keystone dungeons are going to be opening, and that week is also when the first two raids open on Mythic difficulty. That's your race to world There's a lot of content. I think it's good that they're staggering it out. I [06:54] was just having a hard time figuring out what exactly was coming when. Other news going on this week, Voidlight Marrow costs for decor have been nerfed substantially. If you visit your favorite midnight decor vendor, you may [07:06] notice that all of the Marrow items cost much, much less than they had. Uh many fifth of the price that they were before, which is excellent news if you are somebody that might want copies. You know, spending like thousands of [07:21] kind of rough. I really hope that not too many people have already spent many cuz I can't imagine that they're going to do refunds. like this. At least the change is landing early enough in the expansion [07:36] that we haven't I mean, I'm sure we've been earning Marrow, but the bulk of it good news for people shopping for a decor? Speaking of decor, there was another decor item from Zillow that was [07:48] discovered this week by Warcraft Secrets. It's a simply adorned vase and what you have to do is go to the Zillow for Azeroth promo site. And whereas we got the doormat just for kind of clicking on the item on the homepage, [08:01] is kind of browse around the listings a bit and keep an eye out for this advertisement in the sidebar here. If you click on that, it will grant the decor directly to your housing catalog and the item [08:14] I will link the Zillow for Azeroth thing in the description. You can go click your flowers if it's something you're interested in. This one at least is free. Speaking of decor and shop stuff, there [08:28] has been a lot of decor in the shop and there's also been mounts in the shop and I used to cover that kind of thing in this video series, so I just kind of want to make a a quick note that moving forward [08:42] need me to advertise that stuff. If you want it, you're welcome to buy it. There's a shop tab in your game. Have at it. Have fun. I'm going to not. They're selling so many things and the post that they made about Hearth [08:58] Steel, you'll remember this? It happened when I wasn't making these videos. Look at this. So, they have this premium currency that they're using to sell That's gross, but fine. Whatever. It's an [09:11] established thing that companies will do to try to like separate you from your money and separate the idea of the money from you actually spending it so that thing. It absolutely works. It is scummy, but they're going to do it. [09:25] Whatever. Fine. The thing that really sent me around the bend with this was this developer insight post that they put out at the beginning of November where they had the audacity [09:37] to try and tell us that Hearthstone was for our benefit. Why bother when we already have Battle.net Balance? Their justification was that smaller housing multiples. So, using a different currency can make [09:53] Which also applies to Battle.net Balance. It's see how much money you're spending where it's Hearthstone is designed to make you forget. Drove me batty. I think this is so [10:07] I'm still playing the game, but you're not you're not going to hear about new not you're not going to hear about new shop decor from me because wow. Moving on. Before I go, I wanted to highlight a helpful add-on that I've [10:21] come across this week called Weekly Knowledge. Similar to my use knowledge category, this is an add-on that keeps track of how much profession knowledge is still available to your character and what it comes from. The Weekly Knowledge [10:34] summarize your professions across a variety of alts. It shows you where you have concentration, who still needs to do their treasures or weekly chest or get a treatise. It's an easy-to-use interface that I find pretty intuitive [10:46] to navigate. Um professions are still a lot to get on board with. There's a lot to get into the knowledge exploit that sorted out. But, if you are trying to get your legitimate knowledge points for [10:59] the week, an add-on like this can make it much easier to figure out what you And then before I go, I want to quickly shout out my own set of raid guides that I have finished publishing onto YouTube. A huge thank you to everyone who's been [11:11] sharing those with their groups, their guilds, their Discords. Uh it helps me raid guide, I've got a whole playlist of them to help you uh against the bosses in the Dream Rift and the Void Spire and the March on Quel'Thalas. [11:24] week. I appreciate you guys. If you have any questions or you want to just come by and say hi, please stop by my Twitch stream. Thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful day. Bye. >> [music]
