[0:00] Hi, I'm Hazel. It's Saturday today, [0:02] which makes it time to sit down and [0:04] catch up on what's going on in wow this [0:07] week. We are right about it patch time. [0:09] This upcoming weekly reset is bringing [0:12] patch 12.0.7 to live servers. I've been [0:15] having a lovely downtime in these last [0:17] couple of weeks of this patch, but it is [0:18] time for new content. Over the past [0:20] couple of news videos, I have been [0:21] talking about different things that are [0:23] coming in the patch like the new raid, [0:25] the omnium folio, heroic open world [0:27] content with the new invasion point [0:28] worlds. And in this video, I want to [0:31] touch on a couple of the things that are [0:32] either more recent updates to the PTR or [0:34] that I haven't mentioned yet. [0:36] First of all, I want to talk about the [0:38] new things that are coming to wow [0:39] housing in 1207. There are a couple of [0:42] things in the 1207 notes about housing, [0:45] and the big one is that you will be able [0:48] to place lighting outdoors. Imagine a [0:52] street lamp in your street. It is about [0:56] time. This is something that has I think [0:58] always been intended for you to be able [1:00] to place, but they had to disable during [1:02] development because of performance [1:03] issues. And there are a couple of [1:05] caveats. There's an asterisk here. The [1:07] main one is that you cannot place lights [1:10] too close together outdoors. They will [1:12] become unplaceable if you are attempting [1:14] to place them too near to each other. I [1:16] believe to guard against some of those [1:17] performance issues that were happening [1:19] when people presumably made like giga in [1:22] light balls on beta. [1:24] However, as long as you space them out a [1:26] little bit, it seems like we're going to [1:27] be able to go nuts. Float some lanterns [1:29] in your hot tub, put some string lights [1:31] over your patio, maybe hide some candles [1:33] in your garden. [1:35] You know, it's not going to catch on [1:36] fire. We have some phenomenal lighting [1:38] objects for housing, and it'll be very [1:40] nice next week to finally be able to [1:41] place them outside. In service of that, [1:44] another housing change coming in 1207 is [1:46] that they are raising exterior decor [1:48] limits. This is excellent news to [1:50] anybody who has hit their decor cap when [1:52] making their outdoor space. Exterior [1:54] limits being raised to a new maximum of [1:56] 350 at housing level seven, which should [1:59] help with all of those lamps that you [2:01] want to add in. You don't have to [2:02] choose, assuming that you have these [2:04] relevant housing levels, you're not [2:05] going to have to pick and choose which [2:06] things you want to get rid of so that [2:07] you can fit like a candle. And then on [2:09] top of that, there are more than 100 new [2:12] decor items that are being added to the [2:14] neighborhood housing vendors in 1207. [2:16] Lots and lots of new stuff here. A [2:18] couple of particular favorites for me [2:20] include gravestones, which are sort of a [2:21] new category that we haven't had so far. [2:23] I know people have been making their own [2:24] gravestones, but there will be a couple [2:26] of options for placeable decor [2:27] gravestones. There's this lovely like [2:29] extra-wide planter box that I feel like [2:31] I could do a lot of stuff with. I had [2:33] been planting things in a coffin up to [2:34] this point, so this will be a slightly [2:36] less macabre. And haystacks, couple of [2:39] haystacks. Lots of sort of [2:40] stabley-themed stuff. [2:43] I particularly like neighborhood vendor [2:45] decor because it's just a great place to [2:48] start if you're beginning a house. It's [2:49] available for gold, you don't have to [2:51] unlock it, and if you happen to want [2:53] copies, which you almost certainly will, [2:55] they're not far away to go buy more of. [2:58] I can't tell you how many times I had to [2:59] go buy more crates when trying to [3:01] recreate that shelf in [3:03] that shelf in in my WoW house because I [3:07] kept thinking I had enough crates and I [3:08] did not have enough crates. [3:10] Another nice thing about neighborhood [3:11] vendor items is they tend to be more [3:14] dyable than things that you get in other [3:16] places. Not everything is dyable, but [3:19] most of the items that have multiple dye [3:21] slots tend to be just off the [3:22] neighborhood vendors. And then other [3:25] things going on in 1207, if you have [3:27] been a victim of the great Herendar moth [3:31] bugs, [3:32] pun only mildly intended, of this past [3:35] year, good news for you in the patch [3:36] notes. They are rebuilding how the [3:39] Herendar moth hunt thing works, or at [3:42] least how the rewards work for it. [3:43] You're still going to be hunting for [3:44] moths to earn all the rewards, but [3:46] they've completely gotten rid of the [3:48] dust feature. They have removed that. [3:50] They've rebuilt the system so that [3:52] instead of collecting luminous dust, [3:54] there will be a quest that pops up to [3:56] grant your reward for every 10 moths [3:58] gathered on your account. So, you'll [4:00] collect the moths and then you just pick [4:02] up your item via quest. That quest [4:04] should only be visible if you do not [4:06] already have said reward, which [4:09] basically I think is there so that if [4:11] you've collected enough moths to unlock [4:13] a thing but you have not received it [4:14] because of the bugs, you should be able [4:16] to finally get your stuff. There are [4:18] some lovely mounts for moth collecting. [4:20] The vivid clouderacirus is the ground [4:22] mount and then the elder glowmite is the [4:24] flying mount that many people have been [4:26] barred from getting because of these [4:27] bugs. And I think that this is just [4:29] Blizzard's way of fixing those [4:31] long-standing issues because I guess [4:32] they couldn't come up with another way [4:33] to do it. But if this works, then it [4:35] works. [4:36] Um if you have been having issues [4:38] receiving your elder glowmite because of [4:40] the one moth missing bug, next week is [4:42] going to be the perfect time to go, you [4:43] know, drop by the [4:45] What do they call her? Woo Tama? The [4:46] moth lady and revisit it. Other things [4:49] coming up, they are doing a new Twitch [4:50] drop for the patch launch. So, from June [4:53] the 16th through July 14th this time, [4:55] you can watch 4 hours of an eligible [4:57] Twitch stream, including but not limited [4:59] to my own, [5:00] for the cotton candy gurgle plushy [5:02] decor, which is going to be looking a [5:04] little familiar to people that um have [5:06] been doing Twitch drops for decor. [5:08] I think we're going to keep getting [5:10] recolors of these. I'm not complaining. [5:12] I think they're going to hit us with [5:14] every possible recolor of these because [5:15] it seems like they like to do a Twitch [5:17] drop for basically every content release [5:19] and they're doing those so often now [5:20] that I think they're just going to keep [5:21] firing them out. I do like this [5:23] particular color. I think it's a cute [5:24] one, so I'm excited to add that to my [5:26] shelf. And then in my life this week, I [5:28] have been making the most of the patch [5:29] down time by farming midnight rears for [5:32] mounts. I finally got started on that [5:33] farm. I am up to three mounts out of [5:36] eight. Um two of them from Eversong, so [5:38] that's one zone checked off the list. [5:40] I have not gotten my rarity working. I [5:42] understand there's like an alpha version [5:43] of rarity you can use to track attempts, [5:45] but I decided I would just not know. [5:48] So, the mounts will drop when they drop, [5:49] and until then, I'm going to be farming [5:50] rares. [5:51] I do think a nice side effect of if you [5:54] do do this, like going out and farming [5:56] midnight rares for chances at mount [5:57] drops, you get 50 void-light marl per [6:00] rare kill, and when you're doing this [6:01] all day, it sure adds up. I had been [6:04] hurting for void-light marl, so this is [6:06] a nice way to kind of boost those [6:07] numbers. I finally finished buying all [6:09] the purple outfits from the ritual site [6:11] vendor, [6:12] um because I had the marl to do it [6:13] finally after this. [6:15] My indispensable add-on for rare hunting [6:17] for this is probably rare scanner. It's [6:19] marking the locations on my map that I [6:20] need to hit up. It's hiding them once [6:22] I've killed them for the day, and it's [6:23] also playing a sound and giving me a [6:25] little waypoint whenever I fly by one to [6:27] help me realize that I have found it. [6:30] I think it's lots of fun, not a bad [6:31] grind to spend your time on. [6:33] Uh looks better to me than the fishing [6:35] mount farm, which I have not started [6:36] yet, that void egg situation, which from [6:39] everything I've heard about, I'm quite [6:41] I'm quite scared of that one. [6:43] It seems like just an ungodly amount of [6:45] fishing. [6:46] And that's been the week. Have a happy [6:48] patch launch, everybody. Keep an eye on [6:51] my YouTube channel. I am going to try to [6:52] squeeze together a Rotmire guide for the [6:55] new Spires of Arak raid before it comes [6:56] out next week, [6:57] um so so this weekend. So, stay tuned [6:59] for that. I appreciate you guys, and I [7:01] hope you have a wonderful wonderful day. [7:05] Bye. [7:06] >> [music] [7:11] [music] [7:18] [music]
